time: following graduation After all the celebration Cleburn suggested to the others, "How 'bout we head to Heather on the Hill. See ya guys there. I need to go change." Cleburn headed back to his quarters where he changed out of his uniform and put on his traditional clan kilt and full attire including his family claymore strapped to his back. He headed toward the heather on the hill. He ignored the strange looks from the folks he passed. When he arrived he got a table and waited for the other folks. He ordered a plate of Haggis and an iced tea which he was enjoying while waiting. [glow=red,2,300]Tag anyone from the recent Hepta cruise crew and class[/glow]

Janeway wondered what was taking McLeod as she made her way to the heather on the hill. She didn't take the time to change, as she thought it a waste of time. She entered and found him waiting at a nearby table, and joined him.
"Hello, McLeod, what shall we do while we wait on the others?" She said taking a seat across from him, as she was his only company.

"Well, lassie, before we du anything you must try this dish here." Cleburn said sliding his dish of haggis across the table. "The half Klingon in you will like it. It's basically cooked sheep stomach. It's a celtic delicacy." Cleburn said. Tag Liz

off: what are u doing to me? on: "I will try almost anything." She says tasting the haggis. She doesn't know what to make of it and tries another bite chewing slowly to get an opinion. It takes a few minutes, but she finds she likes it. Smiling she orders her own. "When do u think the rest of the crew will come? They sure do like to take their time in getting here. That was some mission though." She says smiling while waiting for her own plate of haggis to arrive.

She smiles remembering the mission. "Well, he was just that a guardian. He felt really strong, and had some kind of mental ablities. He taught me how to control my telepathic abilities." She looks around hoping someone else would join them, but she likes talking to McLeod all the same. Then she sees in the distance two men bothering a woman. She doesn't want to get into any trouble, but she doesn't think she can stand by and do nothing.

OFF: Fun? I am the definition of fun, well, Roz is anyway. ON: Jordan changed out of her uniform. She had never felt so self-conscious before in her life before she had to put that on. She changed into jean carpenter's pants, a black t-shirt, and a black jacket over it. She put her feet into a pair of sneakers she had bought and thought they were really quite comfortable. Easier to walk around in than those sandals she had to wear on Pern. She pulled her hair back and up into a ponytail, even though her bangs kept falling out. She walked out of her quarters and walked down to the place where she had heard a cadet talking about as a little meeting place after the graduation ceremony and banquet. The whole time Draco had been chittering in her ear about how there was so little room to maneuver about. She finally told him either to go back to their quarters or sit on her shoulder. Draco decided to sit on her shoulder at last. She rounded a corner and saw Liz and Cleburn sitting at a table eating... something. Jordan wasn't entirely sure what it was. She smiled and walked over. Jordan: Hello. Cleburn: Commander. Jordan smiled when she saw that she had caught Liz chewing. Liz, though she couldn't say anything, motioned for her to sit down with them. Jordan did and Cleburn slid a plate in front of her. Jordan: Neither of ya were under my jurisdiction and we're all off duty. Please call me Jordan. What's this? Cleburn: Haggis. Jordan's eyebrows went up then in. Jordan: Come again? Liz: Haggis. It's pretty much cooked sheep's stomach. Jordan stared at the plate and went pale. Cleburn: It's a celtic delicacy. Jordan swallowed a looked up. Jordan: I'm sorry Cleburn but I can't eat this. I know I would throw up if I did as I wouldn't be able to stop thinkin' about what it is. I know someone who would like to eat a bit of this though. She sent out a call to Draco and he appeared hovering in the air above them. He practically nosedived when he saw the haggis on the table in front of Jordan. He cocked his head curiously at Jordan before diving into it and Jordan just waved him to go ahead but warned him not to eat too much or he'd have a stomach ache. <tag:Cleburn, Liz, anyone else who'd like to join us>

As she took another bite, Jordan showed up and joined them. She wouldn't eat the haggis, but her little friend did a nosedive into it. Janeway supressed her suprise. She didn't know about Jordan's little friend. She took another look over at the new situation, and decided it was not a good idea to just sit there.
"I'm sorry, but I will be right back. I see an injustice, and I have to do something about it." She says getting up and going over to assist the woman.
"Excuse, me, but I think she wants to be left alone." She says trying to do this diplomatically.
"Go away, this doesn't concern you Klingon." The bigger of the two says.
"Yes, but I think it does now. Come away from them miss, and all will be well. I promise." She says, and the woman moves away from them. The shorter one gets mad. We both move to leave, when she feels an arm on her shoulder.
"Well then, if she is leaving, then you are staying in her place." He says still looking unhappy.
"I suggest you remove your hand, and I will not be staying either." She says, and he laughs not removing his hand. She waits for a moment, and then brushes his hand off. The taller one grabs her by the collar.

Roz set her jaw and sighed deeply when she heard shouting behind her again. She turned around and saw the Klingons had gotten out of the grip of the officers and were coming back for her. Roz could see that Xin-Ling was otherwise occupied and she smiled grimly thinking to herself about how she was going to enjoy letting out her anger from her memories on someone who was just asking to get themselves hurt. She stood up and walked over to the entrance. She crossed her arms across her chest and leaned against the doorway, waiting. She then saw a Klingon lieutenant coming towards her as well, possibly hoping to help her. "Excuse, me, but I think she wants to be left alone," she said, trying to look diplomatic. "Go away, this doesn't concern you Klingon," the bigger of the two said. "Yes, but I think it does now. Come away from them miss, and all will be well. I promise," she says, and Roz shifted her weight off the wall. The shorter one got mad. The two women both moved to leave, when the shorter Klingon put a hand on the lieutenant's shoulder. "Well then, if she is leaving, then you are staying in her place," he said still looking unhappy. "I suggest you remove your hand, and I will not be staying either," she says, and he laughed not removing his hand. She waited for a moment, and then brushed his hand off. The taller one grabbed her by the collar. "She stays or you stay," he growled. Roz saw the anger rising in the lieutenant's eyes and put a warning hand on her arm. Roz: There is a third option. And I must say that all of you are starting to really get on my nerves. Here's the third option: you leave unharmed. The Klingons started laughing and he threw the lieutenant at Roz. They staggered back together. Roz's eyes went bright green as a warning. She turned to the lieutenant and muttered under her breath. Roz: Aim to subdue only. The lieutenant nodded, not taking her eyes off Roz's, which were slowly turning yellow in increasing anger. OFF: We'll kick these guys butts later.

Felix noticed the commotion happening when Roz got up and went to the Klingons that were causing trouble before. Oh great, a fight, should have stayed on Earth. He got up and said "Excuse me", to the cadet he was talking to "Ok what is going on here"; he said as he got in between Roz, Liz and the Klingon gang "Move out of our way human"; one of the Klingons said "Ok now if you go away peacefully no one will get hurt"; Felix said with a firm voice "Hah, a coward, just like all of you humans are"; the klingon said "You have been warned"; he said As he was about to turn to Roz one of the klingons hit him in the head with his fist and Felix was thrown away against the bulkhead "Ok, thatβs it", he said =/\=Savali to security, get your asses down here to my location and while you're at it bring down some paramedics, thereβs a fight in progress=/\= While the klingons were laughing he got up, telling Roz and the Lt. that he was fine. "You have been warned"; he said as he stormed at the klingon that hit him throwing him at a nearby bulkhead Thatβs when the fight started as the klingons friends attacked or at least attempted to attack Roz and the lt. whose name Felix did not know at the time. Off: Hope you don't mind me stiring some trouble up lol am up for some action

Just as soon as the female is tossed back at her, another officer, a man, comes in between the klingons and them. He tries to intervene, but it doesn't work. A fight starts.
She throws several good punches, but it isn't good enough. She uses her strength against them, and throws two of them across the room. Several people look amazed that she can lift a klingon, and the fact she threw two across the room. She doesn't stop there. She makes her way around the room, while doing so she comes across the lady, who is fighting to at once.
Just then security comes and she settles down letting them do their job. Unfortunately security goes to apprehend her too as she is a klingon.

OFF: I don't mind a bit but beware Felix, I might just lose my temper or something. ON: Roz finally lost her temper when Felix got hurt. Her eyes instantly went yellow and she charged and ducked easily under the Klingon's swing. She maneuvered easily in and out and finally pulled out one of her daggers from her boot and made a small cut on his leg, bringing him to the ground. She then twirled around and kicked him in the head, knocking him out. She then faced two others and realized that she might kill them if she didn't watch herself. She shifted down to green and concentrated hard on making sure she knew where both of them were. They decided to surround her on two sides. "Stupid mistake,"[/color] thought Roz. She ducked under a punch one of them threw and kicked back with her leg, hitting him below the belt and making him double over in pain. The punch could not be stopped in time so he ended up punching out his companion. Roz then crouched down and knocked his legs out from underneath him. She then got on top of him and held his arms back, an impressive thing considering Roz's size in comparison to the Klingon. He was the biggest one of the bunch. Klingon: Release me this instant. Roz: Why? So you can beat up my friends? I don't think so. Just then security arrived and took charge of the situation. The leader of the security group looked at the carnage of the fight and looked at Roz. Leader: Brings back memories Roz. Of when your father came to visit. Roz just looked him in the eye and he understood instantly. He didn't mention it again and cuffed the Klingons. Roz heard a loud shout and turned to see two security officers trying to cuff the lieutenant. She walked over. Roz: She's ok. She helped quell this uprising. The men nodded and stepped away to go help with the others. Roz took a deep breath and looked at the dagger still in her hand. There was a slight bit of blood on it and it made Roz shiver slightly. She put it back in its hiding place in her boot and turned to see Felix massaging the back of his head. Roz: You lied Felix. You're not fine. Come here. And you lieutenant, are you ok? Liz: I'm fine. I'm Liz Janeway. Roz: Roz Drouet. Now let's see your head Felix. He reluctantly came over and Roz examined it. Her training on Earth in human and xenobiology gave her an advantage when there wasn't a doctor around. But wait, then she saw a flash of bronze out of the corner of her eye and saw Jordan Mackler sitting not too far away. She smiled and continued looking at Felix's head. Roz: You have a minor concussion. I suggest you take it easy and get plenty of rest tonight. And don't hit your head on anything or the concussion will get worse. <tag: anyone>

As she they are trying to cuff her, she shouts so everyone can here her, hoping they will be stoped. The cuffs look way to small for her wrists, and she doesn't like sickbay at all. The lady walks over.
"She's ok. She helped quell this uprising." The lady says. The men nod and step away to go help with the others. The lady looks at the knife and shivers, and then puts it away. She looks toward her friend, and Janeway's eyes follow. They find the man rubbing the back of his head.
"You lied, Felix. You're not fine. Come here. And you lieutenant, are you ok?" The lady says.
"I'm fine. Oh and by the way my name is Liz Janeway." She says.
"Roz Drouet. Now let's see your head Felix." Roz says. Liz is glad to make some new friends, and remember her old friends waiting for her. She turns to see where she left them, only to find they aren't there anymore. She turns back to her new friends, not sure where her old ones got to.
"You have a minor concussion. I suggest you take it easy and get plenty of rest tonight. And don't hit your head on anything or the concussion will get worse." Roz says.
"So, do you always pick a fight, Roz?" She asks smiling.

After Roz informed Felix that he should take it easy for a while, as the adrenalin was going down, felt that his head hurt. Thatβs what he gets for trying to calm a group of Klingons down. But oh well at least this time he managed not to get stabbed.
"Thank you"; he said
"I'm sure it's nothing Iβve had much worse injuries and Iβm still here", he smiled
Just then the young lt. that helped them sort out the Klingons arrived at the scene. And started talking to Roz.
"So, do you always pick a fight, Roz?" She asks smiling.
Felix smiled at this question as from what he heard, which was enough the girl looked much tougher than she was and he was sure that she aside of being able to win a lot of the fights she participated in, also enjoyed them although he was not sure if she'd admit to that part, he thought as they were waiting for her to answer.

Roz: I don't usually go looking for fights but somehow they seem to search me out. Though I don't mind, it helps to keep me limber and in practice.
She also thought to herself, It also helped me to release some of those strained emotions that came from my memories.[/color] She kept her eyes and facial expression free from the feeling of relief.

Roz smiles and laughs.
"I don't usually go looking for fights but somehow they seem to search me out. Though I don't mind, it helps to keep me limber and in practice." Roz says.
"I suppose it is good to be limber and in practice. Trouble seems to follow me too." She says smiling. Just then she can feel that Roz is hiding something. She decides maybe it is best to use her newly aquired gift to find out what it is. Something seemed out of whack. Liz shows no signs, and finds it is easy now to use the gift.
[glow=green,2,300]It also helped me to release some of those strained emotions that came from my memories.[/glow]
She is uncertain if she should bring up the topic. She decides she wants to find out what has happened, but doesn't know what will happen when she does.
"So, where are you from?" She says looking at Roz, hoping this is a good starting point to unlock the mysteries of her past.

Roz's smile froze momentarily on her face and she glanced at Felix out of the corner of her eye. She then felt an old memory starting to come back and she suppressed it before it could get a hold of her and hit her off her feet. Be careful or you'll slip Roz,[/i] she thought.
Roz: San Francisco, California.
"I've never been there myself but I know that Earth is a good place to grow up. Even for someone like me. I grew up with my grandparents in Piedmont, North Dakota and greatly enjoyed my time there with them. I have heard about the earthquakes from the twentieth century. Does San Francisco still have earthquakes?" asked Liz.
The memory from Chicago hit Roz for a moment and she pushed it away before it could continue its journey through time.
Roz: It still does have earthquakes but not to the same level of power as before due to the advances in technology since then. I don't remember if I've ever been to Piedmont but I have been all over the US. I remember a few of the names of the places I've been to though.
Liz became confused. She didn't find that fact that she had grown up with her grandparents on Earth to be out of the ordinary? Perhaps she had been on the base long enough that nothing truly surprised her anymore. She continued her journey to see what it was that was worrying Roz.
"What was it like growing up in California?" she said.
Roz quickly directed her thoughts to places other than San Francisco and started talking.
Roz: The weather was nearly always warm and it was beautiful by the Pacific Ocean. The streets were always full of interesting people as you could see the different sorts as they walked by. There were even street performers that would sometimes do the most interesting and outlandish things. Seeing the occasional movie star in their cars was also fun as they went into the studios like MGM and Paramount.
Liz smiled but cocked her head in confusion.
"I thought you said you grew up in San Francisco. Unless I'm mistaken, you just described Los Angeles," she said.
Roz looked away and then turned to Felix momentarily.
Roz: You better go sit down Felix. If you keep standing, you're going to pass out from nothing else if not the pain.
She winked at him and motioned for Liz to follow her a few steps away. She leaned against a wall and looked at Liz, trying to figure out what was going on.
Roz: I did grown up in San Francisco. May I ask where this line of questioning is going?
Liz became uncomfortable at the question and wondered what she should do. Should she stall or confess? She saw that Roz was possibly putting the pieces together so she decided on the latter.
"I have a confession and you may not be happy about it," she said slowly. "I have the ability to read minds, and when I found you were hiding something back there I used my new found gift."
Roz's mind clicked and she remembered Tiffany Rylka who had the same ability. She smiled wryly and looked her in the eye. She had thought there was a familiar tickling feeling in her mind.
Roz: I thought that might be it. Did you find out anything?
Liz relaxed a little with the knowledge that Roz wasn't angry about her using her ability on her withough her knowledge.
"Yes, I did, but not much," she said.
Liz wanted to be honest but she didn't want to give everything away. She wasn't sure she was in trouble yet or not. Roz raised her eyebrows.
Roz: What did you find out?
Liz sighed and relented. "Oh alright. All I found out is you have had some bad memories, and the fight helped you relieve them."
Roz released the breath she had been holding and relaxed. Her head dropped down onto her chest and she laughed a bit. She then looked up and saw the wariness in Liz's eyes.
Roz: You're not in trouble Liz. There's nothing in my mind that I know of that is classified or dangerous if it reaches the wrong hands. If all you found out was that I was glad of getting rid of some of the suppressed emotions then you're in no danger from me.
She looked around at the crowded area around them and frowned.
Roz: What do you say we go to my quarters? I can answer all the questions you have for me about my memories so you don't have to go sneaking around in my mind for them.
She winked at Liz and they walked off together to Roz's quarters.

Jordan was surprised. She thought just about everyone who had been on the ship knew about Draco.
Jordan: Ya don't know about Draco? That's interestin'. I came from a planet called Pern where dragons and people have a mutual understandin' and are companions. The dragons are also ridden by people called Dragonriders. There is a mental link between a dragon and his rider where they know what the other is thinking and feeling. Only a few people on Pern have the ability to read the thoughts of all dragons such as my foster mother, Lessa. Draco is a firelizard which as ya can see is a smaller version of a dragon. We also share a mental link with each other.
She watched as Draco greedily ate the haggis and made a face. She then noticed that he had eaten a large portion that was on the plate and told him that it was time for him to stop. Draco picked up his head and chirped mournfully. If ya keep eatin' like that Draco, you'll get a stomach ache and complain to me. Do ya really want that to happen to ya?[/color] she thought. Draco disappeared and then reappeared on her shoulder.
<tag: cleburn> OFF: Come on people, come join the haggis fun! ;D

The walk to Roz's quarters was a short and quiet one. She didn't see many people around, and Roz didn't seem to want to talk at the moment. Liz was relieved she wasn't in trouble, and didn't know why she read the woman's mind without her permission. She made a mental note not to do that again.
They enter Roz's quarters, and Liz becomes a little nervous as they are now on Roz's turf. Roz motions for her to sit, and she does so. Roz is looking at her.
"Well, um, I guess I just want to know what you meant when you thought that." She says looking at Roz, and then noticing the area around her. She brings herself back to Roz, waits for her to answer.

TJ was tired, all right, but he was also hungry, and figured he'd head for some chow before going to his quarters on Starbase Conqueror. He made his way to one of his favorite establishments, Heather on the Hill, took a seat in a corner booth, and waited for the waitress to come to his table.
"Afternoon, TJ," the waitress greeted him.
"An' me own greetin's t' ye, Tela," TJ responded with his twinkling smile.
"What'll you be having?"
"I've got me heart set on a cola an' soup today, me fine colleen. Maybe Denebolan Clam Chowder."
"Then a cola and soup it'll be."
Tela Lesan fascetiously saluted him and left to fill his order, while the Irishman sat back in his seat and waited, his eyes on the stage.
"Wonder what th' entertainment'll be tonight?" he mused.

Lieutenant Cleburn McLeod was nearly at his table before TJ was aware of his presence. Not the most observant of days for him, but he blamed that on his tiredness.
"Mr. McLeod," TJ beamed. "Yes, 'tis rememberin' ye from the Hepta I am. I'm doin' grand. Would ye be havin' a seat?"
Finally looking around at the current clientele, he noticed a few from the USS Hepta, including Dr. Mackler, and hoped they hadn't thought anything about his not greeting them as he entered the restaurant.
