Joan had wished to learn how to swim, and was sick of always having to be rescued when she did enter water deeper than she could stand. She had finally decided to learn, but that wasn't all. Several cadets and officers decided to come and swim as well. She felt very nervous, and then realized who was there. She didn't mind that her mom was in the area, but she had no idea that she would make an apperance here of all places. She starts in the shallow end, carefully making her way to the deeper part of the pool. She wonders what the first steps are, and then she realizes she is out too far dipping beneath the surface having to be rescued again.
She thanks her rescuer, and then realizes they are asking her a question.
"Don't you know how to swim? The latest on you is that your an instructor, and you don't know how to swim? Are you trying to make us look bad?" She hears, and blushes at that fact only nodding, and then shaking her head before groaning.
"No I don't know how to swim, and no I don't mean to make anyone besides myself look bad. I never had the chance. I would love to learn though." She says very eager.
OCC: I figured it was about time this happened. I wouldn't mind the company in this thread either.

OFF: is this a pool? or like a lake or something
on: Cyle sat on a chair near the edge of the water, he had watched the rescuer and rescuee. He himself decided no to go in after her, simply becuase like is rough, gotta get used to it.
Cyle didnt really pay much attention to anything that was going on, he sat with his shirt off, showing his muscular body, he had on a pair of sunglasses, and a hat.
he was comfortable, that was all that mattered to him at the moment

OOC: It is a pool, sorry for not including that.
IC: Joan notices a pair of eyes on her, and wonders what he could be staring at. She thinks about ignoring him or deleting him, but realizes he isn't part of the program. She walks on over.
"Hi there, and who might you be?" She says wondering who this new person was, and why he let someone else rescue her.

She didn't like it when people were rude, and wondered why he answered like that. She couldn't ever understand the lack of manners.
"Fine, be that way, I was just trying to be nice." She says walking away, finding it more difficult in the water. She is completely nervous, and not sure on exactly how to relax as she should. She decides a floation device might help, and she gets a life jacket on, just for extra protection. Since she can now float, she decides to try a lap or two.

She notices a few people laughing in the back ground, and hopes for their sake it is her they are laughing at. She continues to do a few laps when she hears a familiar voice out of the blue.
"You are never going to learn that way. Let me help you." Joan looks up to find herself looking into the face of Admiral McCormick. She smiles and only nods.
