(OOC: Ready, S'reena? I saw the Hanson was back)
Noah sat in his quarters on the Ticonderoga, studying a technical paper written by one of his colleagues on artifical sentience, while en-route to Starbase Conquerer. The doorchime went off. "Come in," he said.
In stepped Lt. Hendricks, the Ships Counselor. "Doctor Bates," she said, since he had left his rank behind since retiring, "we're approaching Conquerer. The Captain says we'll be there in about half an hour. He thought you might want to be on the Bridge for the final approach."
"Thank you, Lieutenant," he said, as he turned off the screen at the desk, and headed to accompany Hendricks.
"How long has it been since you've been to the Starbase, sir? I understand you've served there before," Hendricks inquired, as they headed down the corridor.
"It's been about a year now. But I was assigned to the Hanson, one of the ships that docked there. I spent about half my time on the Starbase, which was between missions."
"You must be looking forward to this then," she said they stepped on the turbolift. "Bridge."
Noah nodded. "Yes, I am. I left a godson behind, who was born shortly before I left."
40 minutes later, Noah found himself happily rolling himself onto the Starbase. He stopped, looked around and smiled, then headed off to find S'reena.
