-Minerva-
[limegreen]"Careful commander," Sonak warned as she fell back in her seat when Minerva was assaulted by disruptor fire again, "you are leaning towards insubordination and mutiny. However I shall let you talk to Commander Halthor, while I concentrate on doing as much damage to the Cardassians as I can."[/limegreen]
"Commander Harper its best you control your actions for now and sit back we have more to worry about now, than someone in the crew acting up and causing a bit of rucus now and again. The Commodore is correct, if you need suggestions or help i will be here, but were in a troubled situation and we all need to act quickly and concisely." Commander Halthor responded after looking over his padd and working at his station.
Before long Vander would find something on the viewscreen, interesting enough he came to find some cardassian muraders flying around in search of the ship. "Commodore, looks like we got bogeys and hot, i would like to comence fire, but seeing as there ready to fire back, im going to commence defensive menuevers."
The ship board communicator let out a screech and went to red alert "Enemies have boarded the ship, move your teams out immediately"
"This is what i get for a commander not paying attention to his duties" Halthor thought to himself about Commander Harper.

D'Angelo do this, D'Angelo do that... never answering any of his questions in the mean time. He was starting to be glad that he was always in sickbay during critical times on the bridge, as the atmosphere was consistently annoying the hell out of him.
"Nobody was in the fighter, that I can tell." Then again, he hadn't been focusing in on the fighter at the time it was destroyed, so 'as far as he could tell' didn't necessarily carry a lot of weight with it.
"Did someone pick him them up?" she responded.
"Where are the normal science officers!" Marco said, pounding his fist onto the console. This work was tedious, and silly; reading screens at Commodore Reckus's whim. He was trained to do medical, not readouts.
"I don't know who got them... nor should it matter. There was nobody in the fighter, end of story." The stress of being on the bridge finally got to him and he cracked, pounding the screen another time, causing it to crack slightly. All controls were shifted over to the secondary science console by the computer, which compensated for the broken screen in the main terminal.
Marco shamefully made his way across the bridge, but also not caring if he were reprimanded. What would she do? send him to sickbay? That's what he's wanted since the start of his tour-de-bridge.
The new console showed no signs of wear and tear, and Marco resumed his work, with most of the frustration having been eliminated through his aggressive outburst. "Shields are still holding" he said, trying as best as possible, in a voice that showed he was once again in control of his faculties.

"Bogey's, commander?" Sonak queried, raising an eyebrow at her chief engineer. She turned upon hearing a loud crack, taking note of the broken panel on the primary science station. "Thank you doctor, I believe Commander Harper just reported that they have retrieved Ensign An from that fighter."
She could see stress was tearing at the young doctor, but right now wasn't the time to dwell on it. Cardassians had boarded the module. "Thorad, distribute phasers to everyone on the ship. Halthor, take command of security teams remaining on Minerva."
The Vulcan tapped her combadge. "Harper, throw everything you have at the Cardassians. We have been boarded and we are defenseless." She tapped her combadge again. "Commander Byrne, I could use your assistance right now. Minerva has been boarded. So far we are secure on the bridge but it is unknown how many still remain on Minerva. Internal sensors are offline."
She turned back to D'Angelo, crossing the few paces that separated her from the secondary science station. "Problem, doctor?" she asked quietly, though her entire expression was still one of hate. Her eyes were ablaze, especially infuriated with the latest news of Cardassians having boarded her ship. "It is unsafe for you to head to sickbay now, with the enemy having boarded us. If needed, you may use the readyroom for triage center. If transporters are operational, beam any equipment you need to my office."
Sonak was quite surprised that nobody had even commented on her orders to destroy all Cardassians; it was quite against Starfleet policy, even though the didn't have much choice. It was destroy or be destroyed, survival of the fittest and Sonak had no intention of surrendering her ship to them. "Send out a general distress," she ordered the doctor, "and if you need assistance, I shall be quite glad to assist." Anything to get away from the stress for now. The Cardassians would reach the bridge soon enough, and they needed to be prepared.
Reluctantly, she accepted the phaser Halthor insisted she carry, then checked the setting. She switched it to stun setting four, after checking the charge levels. it was fully charged, as it ought to be and she attached the weapon to the belt of her uniform.

As Ensign Anthony An rode the turbolift to the bridge, he gathered himself. He tried to not focus on the death of Tosk or his latest dreams. Completely shocked that he survived, he kept thanking God.
Suddenly, An heard the ship go to Red Alert, “Enemies have boarded the ship, move your teams out immediately.” Instantaneously, the turbolift doors opened to the bridge. An rushed to Commander Mark Harper, “Ready for my orders, Commander,” adding, “thanks for catching me out there.”

Once the Module managed to destroy the Cardassian vessel, Logan vectored toward the Minerva Module to attempting to perform a docking procedure with it. Using the squad of marines aboard the Discordia, it would only help in fighting the boarding party since the transporter system were at low power.
Sliding a glance to Jatan, he nodded a confirming look to show that, once again, he was going to rescue the doctor's lady love.
Matching the pitch of the Minerva, Fox aided in the attaching the docking clamps and extending the docking sleeve. Meanwhile, Logan continued the phaser bursts creating a blanket around the merging vessels. Magnetizing the hull, he was able to force the shields to cover his Module and part of the Minerva.
Using the RCS thrusters, he was able to "push" the Minerva into a roll with the Discordia in the line of fire. While Fox was now adjusting the shields to compensate for the gaping hole in the bottom of the Module, where they lost the landing gear.
Hard linking with the Minerva almost threw the crew across the Bridge. Locked down, the main crew watched as the ensigns hit the consoles near them. Tapping into the comm system, Commander Byrne was able to send medical teams to the necessary areas and alert the Minerva Module of the hard-dock.

While Fox was now adjusting the shields to compensate for the gaping hole in the bottom of the Module, where they lost the landing gear. Fox kept the shield extended around the module, but looked at Byrne. "I'm unsure how long we can keep this up Commander." he sighed softly "It drains much of our power resources, life support on most of the decks has been cut off already. Maybe if both modules assisted with the gap." Byrne nodded "But thats impossible right now. We'll have to manage." "Alright Commander, we will then." Fox replied looking at the monitors again. The slightest powerdrain could cause the shield extention to collaps.

Vander looked as the the Commodore was readily available for protecting herself as well as others were, there was a ship wide invasion, cardassians were not to be hassled with, and with Vanders skill in Tactics before, he could manage taking out some cardassians if he wanted. Jumping out of his seat and leaving his station on auto-pilot, as the station was doing its thing, Halthor equiped his weapon, a phaser rifle that was laid next to his engineering station. He powered it on, then walked around surveying the bridge, looking interested he found that there were no cardassian invaders around.
"Bridge Clear, moving to lower decks" Halthor motioned to himself, then walked out the turbolift door, and down a jeffries tube, on his walk through he saw that many wires were coming out of sync and some shielded areas had been shut off, leaving smoke and fires ablaze. Continuing on in the struggle, Vander, headed down another tube, finding himself near deck 3, arriving he saw many cardassian imposters walking around ready to fire at a moments notice. Speaking quitely into his communicator, the andorian began "Commodore, we have some cardassians on deck 3, im going to attack one of there groups in the hope that i will distract them to give you time to have a security team moved out." Vander replied.
[yellow]<tag Sonak>[/yellow]
=/\=Understood, Commodore, moving out, ill try my best to handle the menace with due caution.=/\=
Walking out, the Andorian sprawled out of the tube and fired on one of the cardassian squads, one of the invaders seemed to be hit in the snipe. Halthor continued to shoot, but found them relentless with there reaction of him arriving, they looked back at him and began firing back, and halthor lunged around to hide against a wall, and began defensive attack positions.
"Where's that Security team?" Vander wondered as he fired with his every breath and trying to cover himself from repeated enemy fire.

"I don't believe I asked to go to sickbay." Marco responded to the angry Vulcan. She had probably extrapolated his likely response. True, it was what he was thinking, but he knew better than to ask that, especially at a time like this.
He could only remember one time in his career where he had a worse time than this....
*** A few years ago... *** "D'Angelo - Get over here!" Captain Bjork barked at the newly accredited Doctor. Marco dutifully responded, making his way through the overly crowded bridge of the freighter. It was normally small, made even smaller by the extra cargo they took on at their last depot stop.
"There are radiation leaks all over the decks. I need you to give the crew something to stop it." The lack of finesse in his voice, and the distressed undertones, suggested that the young doctor would have another thing coming to him if he did not move immediately.
Marco had only a short supply of medical equipment, and only the small space to do his work. He shared the room with the sonic showers and waste extraction utilities.
After finding the correct set of vials, and a hypospray that looked sorely in need of re-replicating (A waste of energy that Captain Bjork would not allow spent.)
He left the make-shift office, only to find that the cargo manager, Tebott, lying unconscious on the ground.
"Tebo!" Marco slapped the face of the Bolian, who was groggy at best. The sluggish reply was indicative of radiation poisoning, but could be attributed to countless other conditions as well. Marco administered the hypospray anyway and headed back to the bridge to report.
He found himself on the bridge alone. Captain Bjork was nowhere to be seen, and the viewscreen showed the large asteroid field they were about to navigate around.
"Captain?" Marco yelled, only to hear a groan from behind a bulkhead.
Bjork was propped up against the wall, wreathing in pain. The doctor administered the hypospray, which had a calming agent inherent to it, and it caused Bjork to calmly fall back against the wall without response.
Marco was the only one left on the small cargo freighter, and the asteroid field in front of them was approaching fast- or rather, they were approaching it, fast.
Taking the controls, Marco maneuvered the ship as best as he could. Hopefully, he thought, this would be the last time he would ever have to man controls in a bind like this.
"Dropping the humidity and temperature on the decks the intruders are present, Captain" Marco said, At least we'll make them uncomfortable. He purposefully ignored the fact that she was a Commodore, not a Captain.
"Orders?" he asked, snidely.

"Get back to the bridge!" Sonak called back. They were the only people on Minerva, and even though Discordia had now docked and was providing partial protection, the other senior staff had better have the sense to remain on Discordia. "Tovan!" She shook the young helmsman, but he was unresponsive. "Tovan, talk to Discordia, use all available thruster power to get us out of here!"
She tapped her combadge. "Halthor confirm previous order!" The Vulcan commanding officer turned back to the doctor, who had just made a snide comment. "Yes, proceed with temperature change, and flood the decks with anesthezine gas. We do not just want them in discomfort, I want them off my ship. Show no mercy when we encounter then and when they reach the bridge."
Sonak switched the setting of her phaser to kill, then stared at it for several seconds, before changing it back to heavy stun. What was she doing? Cardassians killed without mercy; she was Vulcan, bound by ethics of non-violence. And then there was the healer's code of first doing no harm. Except, she hated Cardassians and no matter how she tried, she couldn't stop hating them. They were responsible for so many disasters in her life, there was no room for forgiveness.
She noticed the CMO's eyes on her, as well as Thorad's. "Flood the decks," she confirmed, "phasers on stun, there shall be no killing aboard my ship." She sank down in her seat, suddenly worn out. "Doctor, please assume command for now. I...need a brief rest." She tapped her combadge. "Logan, we have enemy parties aboard Minerva. Standing orders are to flood minerva's decks with anesthezine gas. Keep personnel on Discordia until further notice. Doctor D'Angelo is currently in command of the bridge."

"Aye, Commodore, we are locking station and following the action with what sensors Fox has still going", Byrne replied. Turning around, he saw the worried look on Jatan's face. Reassuring him, he continued to monitor the distance between the modules.
Using a few RCS bursts, he attempted to use the Discordia's momentum to nudge the Minerva away from the Cardassian fire. Watching the hard dock seals, he boosted the structural integrity to compensate for the gap in the hull and pushing the bigger module.
As the damaged section moved slowly away, he could hear the comm traffic of the attack teams sent to confront the Cardassian invasion on the Minerva. Picking up a few comments from D'Angelo, he ascertained that the command staff on the Bridge was still functioning. Utilizing the short range transporter bands, he was able to beam a 3 man team of marines in EVA gear onto the Minerva, just short of their Engine Room.
Sitting on the edge of his seat, Jatan received a short burst comm about the status of his kids. Falling back, that was the first time Logan saw him finally relax. Finally sitting down, Commander Byrne engaged the tactical screen and saw the pitch rate of the two modules and knew that he succeeded in getting them far enough from the other ship, as not to allow any more boarding parties.

Tovan finally pushed the crushed panel away from the Jeffries tube hatch. He had been crawling through the bowels of the ship for what seemed like hours now, and he finally got to the bridge. It was unfortunate that it taken so long, but when we was being shaken around like dice in cup, the going was slow. He was already nursing several bruises and bumps. One look at the bridge told him exactly what had been going on, except for who was behind it.
"Commander Tovan, reporting for duty," he said, as he slid into the helm position. A quick glance at the panel showed exactly who had been attacking, the Cardassians. As he looked up, he noticed what was gone. The boulder that had been lodged in the hull was gone. That was fortuitous at least. "Orders, Commodore?"

ooc: this is writing Meylor in...
"Get us out of here," the Vulcan ordered, momentarily forgetting that she had left the doctor in command. Then she remembered and looked down at the doctor, who was uncomfortably seated in the command chair. "Doctor?" she queried, before turning back to the console where she was seated.
"Ma'am we have an additional fighter on approach, but it's not one of ours," Thorad suddenly reported, 'it's armed, and it's hailing us."
"Put it through," Sonak ordered, stepping down to the command level. A familiar Bajoran face appeared on the screen and the Vulcan gasped in surprise. "Meylor!" she called.
She turned to face Tovan, who had sat himself at helm again. She didn't quite understand how he had just arrived on the bridge, considering she was quite certain she'd seen him hang slumped unconscious over his station. Had she been mistaken then after all? "Get him aboard commander," she ordered, "doctor, make sure we clear the decks of gas again. I am certain our unwelcome guests are unconscious by now."
Sonak had felt the change in pitch of the ship, and saw them veer away from the Cardassians, effectively taking her ship out of weapon's range. "Contact Mercury and get them to dock," she finally ordered, "I think we are through testing our fighters, and we lost our gambit. We are outnumbered, we should retreat."
Aboard Discordia, Jatan paced the bridge restlessly. "Why can't we get back to the main bridge," he complained, "I need to get to her, she's sick. I can tell, something's wrong, I can sense strong hate." He looked up at Fox, clearly worried. "You must sense it too, you've melded with her before didn't you? Don't you sense anything?"
The doctor continued pacing. "And our children are on Mercury, once the module docks I have to get to them, they must be very frightened." He took Miriya back from one of the junior officers on Mercury's brigde, hugging his only biological child to him. "She's worried too, I know she is. But why isn't she talking to us?"

{OOC: Backing up a few hours, sim-wise, to elaborate on a few things...}
The distress call from Minerva reached Starbase Bellicose ops just as Meylor was conferring with the communications officer on duty there, and as such, they both were the first to get the news of the battle currently unfolding in the Alcor system a relatively few number of parsecs distant. Though no-one had expected to hear from the Vesuvius for the next several days while their systems tests and drill exercises were to be conducted in that relatively quiet region, starbase ops had been ordered to monitor the the Alcor system with passive long-range sensors as precaution, given the significance attached these tests by Starfleet Operations. Additionally, both the Defiant-class escort USS Thresher (a ship temporarily stationed at the base as part of the same test and drilling exercises that the Vesuvius and much of the fleet were engaged in for the present), as well as a detachment of Ju'Day-Class fighters had been placed on standby alert in the event that rescue and/or defence action was required.
Now, it looked as if such action would, indeed be necessary, and though Meylor found it sobering to land himself in the middle of an emergency almost immediately upon his return to starship duty, he had to reluctantly admit that it wasn't exactly a huge surprise. Starships, as he was beginning to rapidly remember, often got themselves into some pretty tight spots, and that truism was usually doubly applicable to Vesuvius. She and her crew were among the best in the fleet, but there was good reason for that; where the Vesuvius went, such excellence would be demanded, routinely. The really challenging missions and misadventures would demand even more. It was that kind of challenge that drew Meylor back to serve every time, as harrowing as it could be.
Now, however, he was facing a challenge of a very different kind. Red Alert had been sounded, the rescue detachment had been ordered to get underway, and Meylor had been granted authority to lead the effort, given his familiarity with the Vesuvius. Before a single ship had left the starbase hangar, however, reports started flooding Ops with a multitude of emergency requests, complaining of unexplained power outages and catastrophic computer glitches, in some cases causing total system crashes. The problems had been strangely limited to only the hangar and starship support facilities on base, though, and Meylor had his doubts that they were entirely coincidental. Every fighter, bar two that had been under maintenance shutdown and disconnected from umbilical support to the starbase at the time, was rendered functionally dead, affected by what the diagnostic personnel had apparently determined was some sort of invasive software virus. The Thresher had been similarly knocked out of commission, reduced to the reserve power which a tactical drill team had doubtlessly been thankful for when they had been caught aboard during their ship's sudden systemwide outage. It was looking more and more like deliberate sabotage of some kind with each precious minute that went by.
The security boards just then lit up with reports from guard teams near one of several auxiliary LCARS programming stations many decks away from the main hangar. An intruder had been taken into custody just as he had apparently fell unexpectedly unconscious after being trapped in a turbolift while trying to escape. Security theorized that he had perhaps committed suicide when cornered, but after being taken to the Infirmary, it was discovered that the Cardassian intruder had not been completely successful in his suicide attempt, due to the fact that a cranial implant, designed to deliver a fatal dose of artificial endorphin to his brain, had malfunctioned due to phaser injuries sustained while evading the base guards. When restored to consciousness, the agent confirmed the answers to some questions while only confounding others. Notwithstanding that, the pieces were beginning to fall into place, and Meylor re-checked the distress call recording from Vesuvius to be sure: Cardassians (if not rogue, then at least covert) were apparently behind the attack there as well. Moreover, Meylor had certain other suspicions about the nature and purpose of the two increasingly linked incidents here and in the Alcor system, but he would need better evidence before reaching any useful conclusions. That evidence, not to mention desperately needed aid to the Vesuvius crew would undoubtedly be forthcoming, though, once rescue operations could get underway. IF they could get underway, that is; time was of the essence, and resources were not exactly abundant at the moment either.
Meylor quickly ordered the diagnostic teams to get working immediately on restoring the dead ships back to some kind of flight-ready status as soon as feasible, then had all available security and medical personnel that could fit aboard join him on the two remaining operational fighters. Before he headed for the main hangar himself, Meylor requested priority comm access from the station commander, giving his recently granted Starfleet Security access code (having gained this authorization during his previous posting) to transmit a Code 42 communique to the nearest receiving Starfleet Security agent(s) in the sector, hopefully aboard a capable ship able to render assistance. The communique was also sent directly to Security headquarters on Earth, though help from that distance was unlikely to be of much use anytime soon. Combined with standard distress signals, someone was nevertheless bound to answer their summons eventually. If the entire sector wasn't under similar attacks, anyway.
Only once these vital matters had been attended to could Meylor make his way to the pilot's seat on fighter #05, carrying what improbably appeared to be some kind of swagger stick with him, engraved with what Meylor's fellow officers had speculated were Romulan characters. They weren't, but Meylor preferred not clarify the misperception or even discuss it much at all. In fact, neither was it a swagger stick, but rather a very personal, very specialized breed of sidearm, and ever since his acquiring it during his last posting, he was reluctant to go into battle without it and the positive pagh energy it was supposed to impart. From the way the situation looked at this point, he was going to need all the help he could get...
* * *
Meylor ordered his co-pilot to try and clear up the extensive static clouding the viewscreen picture, but to no avail. Even through the interference, evidently being generating by Cardassian jamming signals, the Bajoran could see an unusual level of anger and consternation in the Vulcan commodore's face. Their current predicament was clearly taking its toll on her faculties, not to mention her physical condition, as was evidenced by the blood Meylor could see trickling from several wounds on Sonak's person.
"Ma'am, we received your distress call, and are attempting to organize whatever reinforcements we can. For now, though, we've got problems ourselves; Bellicose has been infiltrated and most of our vessels sabotaged. I was only able to bring one other fighter with me. The alert has gone out nonetheless, and the nearest ship seems to be a heavy cruiser about three hours away. But I have something more immediately helpful right now: defense access codes to the Cardassian ships, similar to Starfleet prefix codes. I don't know how reliable they'll be; we had to pry them out of a Cardassian agent we captured." Meylor thought to himself what an understatement that was; the spoonhead had fought tooth and nail against interrogation, in vain as it had turned out thanks to a skillful application of techniques Meylor had learned a few months back from Starfleet Intel. "But it should give us something to work with. The base commander and I thought it best that I deliver the codes personally, since comm channels might be compromised."

Looking around it seemed a lone security squad had made there way around to the rescue. "My Andor, what have we here, a squad of security detail, great timing indeed." Vander motioned then watched as one of the lead security officers approached him.
"Vander we have word from Ensign An, that you were sending out a distress signal at your location, were here, and have the detail ready for your assistance." Warrant Officer Shul said then waited as he gave the andorian some time to think.
"Thats right I did remember sending out a distress signal some time ago, requesting assistance, and you guys have come at a more perfect time, Where is Ensign An by the way, is he currently assisting with other matters" Vander replied.
"He is still doing fighter patrol's taking out any cardassian resistance sir, if you mind waiting we can communicate to him that we have come to get you and bring you to the bridge or medical bay." Shul noted.
"For now, take care of those pesky, cardassians, I dont like the look of them, and me alone cant find off a horde of them, if the squad along with me can combine forces and take them on, i think we will have a better chance." Vander replied and watched as the security detail readied there phasers.
"Understood Commander, when you give us the signal we will begin the firing on enemy positions." Shul noted once again.
"Move out and show no mercy." the andorian commander was relentless in getting rid of the menace aboard, and with this new squad it would only improve his chances.
The Security team as well as halthor began to push forward, looking around the corner, they aimed there phaser rifles, and fired, two cardassians fell upon the first shots. "Nice one WO Shul, continue the push forward."

Halthor was coming to like Warrant Officer Shul for reasons otherwise, he had come when he best needed help, Shul was a security officer, Halthor used to work security as a Chief Tactical Security Officer, just in spit, shul was like halthor in that he was strong witted and able to carry out things well, and be able to have a good handle on things, even though situation didnt look that way. "You know you remind me alot of me in my past, you have alot of characteristics that i used to have, thats probably why they sent you here, to help me out, we just happened to cross paths and by coincidence your just like me." Halthor replied.
Shul was astounded by the commander's firm reply, and nodded "Thank you Commander Halthor for that kind compliment, i didnt know that about myself until you pointed that out, you learn things everyday dont you" the warrant officer replied.
"You sure do, for the time being, we better get a move on, or those darn cardassians will be on the look out for us." Halthor nodded then the two of them along with the security team made there way to the bridge, fighting there way against certain odds.
"Look its the Bridge, you all provide covery fire while i move in" Vander noted, then made his move. The team watched and provided there support and counter shot the cardassians, some of the security members were killed in the fire fight. Opening up the bridge door with all his might he found Sonak sitting in her command chair, relentless.
"Reporting back, Everything alright Commodore?" the andorian made his firm inquiry before finding out the news.

Arriving back on the Bridge, Vander with the security team was prepared for about anything that was to come there way. Halthor immediately proceeded to his station, commanding the tactical area, looking out the bridge screen, he saw the fighters flying and a cardassian freighter in the distance. Low and behold the cardassians were still a menace, and Vander was getting angry with them. Putting all his energy forward, he approached one of the panels, and began to reroute all targeting power to engage the enemy cardassians freighter.
The Minerva powered up and began its second phaser blast at the frigate this time, taking out the cardassians warp core, and weapons systems, Looking in the distance, Vander was intrigued by how the Minerva had shot at the enemy ship and how precisely it had taken unto itself to manage a decisive blow.
In the distance, something strange was happening, ruptures in space as he had noted in the view screen, "Could that be a cloaked ship" Looking more closely, the ship decloaked and revamped its weapons on the cardassian frigate blowing it to kingdom com.
[Green][Romulan Interceptor][/Green]
"Sub Commander Terak, we have annihilated the enemy vessel from scanners, we show no life signs of cardassian menaces in space.” The romulan uhlan responded.
“Understood Velar, proceed to that Starfleet vessel, and show it due caution, engage cloak once again.” Sub Commander Terak noted.
The Romulan interceptor engaged cloak and disappeared from scans once again.

“Commodore, what just happened, did I just witness a romulan encounter in space, and they just took out that cardassian frigate, weapons are at the ready.” Vander replied
[yellow]<tag Sonak>[/yellow]
“Yes Commodore, I heed caution, and maintain intervals, seems this new encounter will be a tricky one” Halthor commented, then engaged power to external weapons and shielding
Watching scanners, the andorian looked closely then viewed the romulan off the port bow.
“Romulans, off port, increase power to shielding, they have decloaked power phasers and fire” Vander replied and fired the back weapon torpedoes as well as phasers at the romulan interceptor.

“Quick as they are, to act, but to our cloak we can out maneuver them anyday, increase power to weapons and fire.” the romulan commander ordered his crewman then watched out the view screen as shots fired on the Minerva.

There were Cardassians on her bridge now and Sonak wasn't too happy with that. Her hatred for this particular species resurfaced immediately and she reached for her phaser. She was slow in responding, one of the enemy had managed to get a shot at poor Thorad again and she watched the Andorian crumple to the deck.
"Doctor!" she called, turning to see her CMO get clipped in the shoulder. This was bad, really bad. The Vulcan managed to get a shot out before she too was struck by enemy fire. With a cry of outrage, she went down, but didn't lose consciousness. She even found the strength and resolve to change the setting on her phaser to wide-angle stun, which allowed her to incapacitate the enemy that had invaded her ship and her bridge.
"Everything all right commodore?" she heard from behind her.
Sonak climbed back to her feet, and allowed herself to sag back into her command chair, then glared at her chief engineer. "Does it look that way commander?" she snapped.
The Andorian ignored her anger as he crossed to the bridge engineering station. The ship was still in danger, even with both modules reattached now. "Bridge to Byrne, report as soon as the corridors are clear," she ordered, "Commander Meylor, report to the bridge! Lieutenant Thorad is injured, I could use your expertise."
Sonak nodded toward Tovan. "Get us out of here as fast as you can," she continued. It was then, that the Cardassian vessel suddenly exploded. She listened to Halthor's surprised questions, mixed with a report.
"That was a romulan," she confirmed, "and I would like to know who just saved us. However tread with caution, they might come after us as well. Reroute power to weapons and shields just in case."
She listened as the Andorian reported that they were now indeed a target. "How I wish our cloaking device was operational," the Vulcan sighed, "target their weapons array, maximum power. Let them know we have them in our sights and are unprepared to let them go just like that."
Sonak winced as her injured arm was jarred when the Romulans fired upon them. it was then that she remembered D'Angelo was injured as well. "Halthor, take command until Byrne reports in. I have to take care of doctor D'Angelo and Lieutenant Thorad."
She crossed the bridge to where D'Angelo had fallen. "I am sorry doctor," she apologised, "are you all right?" She expected a tirade from him, then was surpised when he didn't start snapping at her for a change.
"Sonak to Fox. Did you not have medical expertise somewhere in that long service record of yours? I have injured on the bridge. If Jatan is with you, I could use his assistance right now!"

[limegreen]"That was a romulan," she confirmed, "and I would like to know who just saved us.

“Understood Commodore, I will make the necessary procedures for command to take effect immediately until Commander Byrne arrives, also, on scanners I have reports of two more vessels off the stern of the ship, they appear to be andorian, these seem to be the ones who saved us in the crossfire.” Commander Halthor replied.
Nodding then taking the command chair, the andorian made every effort to get in contact with the andorian vessels. It appeared they were of friendly origin and had come to the rescue. Now Vesuvius wasn’t in all to much danger.
Entering on the standard channel operator, Vander began to speak on andorian frequency “Andorian vessel, this is the USS Vesuvius - A, we have come under attack by a romulan interceptor, it appears you have come to our aid, please respond.” waiting and watching out the viewport.
[blue] [Andorian Battleship] [/blue]
The blue skinned andorian captain looked at his crewman as the communique came through, then sat in his command chair contemplating wether he should respond. “Starfleet Vessel, This is the Andorian battleship Shraj, and im Captain Arcon, we are pleased to be of service to Starfleet at this time and future events, for now, we found a romulan vessel engaging you, and came to find it as one of our targets, if you would mind giving us suppressive fire, or repairing your ship, while we let the our frigate do the damage, you can enjoy looking out your viewport, seeing the romulan deaths, as we destroy them.” Captain Arcon replied then closed channels
Getting out of his chair he began to stand up then order his crew to begin firing on the romulan interceptor. The tactical officer of the ship firmly took upon the orders and pushed the button on the panel to launch a multiphase beam at the enemy.
[green] [Romulan Interceptor] [/green]
“Where did those shots come from, get repair crews on the double and begin the cloak” Sub commander terak looked irritated at his crew for there delay.
He was bound and determined to continue firing on the Vesuvius but it turned out that andorians made there way in.
Looking around he ordered his crew to remain vigilant and strong.
[white] [USS Vesuvius - A] [/white]
“Understood Captain Arcon, we will see if we can help” Vander replied. Then the andorian turned toward the engineering panel seeing what power adjustments were needing to be made, and sat there watching out the viewport, as the andorian battleship pounded the enemy romulan ship with a repeated burst of fire.

It had been a rough ride, dodging asteroids, crossfire from a dozen ships of varying sizes and flags, and finally getting the Vesuvius shuttlebay doors to respond to remote activation, but the two fighters under Meylor's command came to rest within the relative safety of the landing platform. As Meylor and his teams disembarked, he quickly tried to assess the situation amid the turmoil of crewmen rushing around the shuttlebay on urgent errands. Clearly, some damage control had been restored, although many systems still seemed to be severely malfunctioning. Grabbing a passing deck officer, Meylor tried to get a current battlestations report. The ship was back in joined mode, slowly restoring defenses and weapons, what with survival being rather a priority at the moment. Some hull damage had also been taken, but for the moment it was contained by forcefields and improvised structural reinforcement. It would, however, require a more definitive solution, particularly if power systems continued to be drained by battle conditions. Meylor immediately ordered his two engineering teams to proceed to both the Impulse and Main Engine Rooms to render their expertise as needed. They were able to take a limited amount of equipment, mostly emergency generators and other hazard tools, which would hopefully be enough. Further assistance would have to wait for reinforcements to arrive from the nearest friendly vessel.
As this thought sprang to mind, Meylor elected to take himself and his remaining personnel up to the Main Bridge see what could be done about their security situation. They found out about the security situation nearly halfway to their destination, when shields abruptly went down on the deck they were on and three Cardassian boarding parties materialized all around them, blocking off all paths. As they all took whatever cover was to hand, all the while exchanging fire with the invaders, Meylor found to his chagrin that the voice he had been hoping to hear was shouting orders through his commbadge. Fortunately, his flex-armor hazard suit protected the commbadge from a disruptor burst that caught him right on that spot, and he heard the message.
"Bridge to Byrne, report as soon as the corridors are clear," she ordered, "Commander Meylor, report to the bridge! Lieutenant Thorad is injured, I could use your expertise."
He voice-activated his reply, and his tone was not without a dose of irony. "Aye-aye, ma'am! As soon as I can; We've got some uninvited guests of the spoonhead variety..."
Catching his breath at last, Meylor motioned for one of his team, a young Vulcan security officer named Lieutenant T'Shann to follow him through a nearby door, which turned out to be a hydroponics lab. It fortunately opened for them, as it was not a high-security area, and appeared to be deserted due to the crisis. Not much in here that would help, Meylor thought ruefully. Or was there?
His mind began searching rapidly through memories concerning climate control, atmospheric regulators....that was it! "See if you can locate any working environmental controls." he ordered T'Shann. She soon found an operational control panel, only to have it blasted by incoming fire from the door. Obviously, the locks Meylor had just engaged proved no barrier to one of the intruders. The Cardassian soldier continued firing at them both with amazing precision and keen tactical sense; Meylor had expected as much from what he now strongly suspected was an operative of the Obsidian Order, the infamous intelligence and black ops agency long thought dead and buried since the early days of the Dominion War. Now it seemed that, like a phoenix from the ashes, they had rose again to ply their dirty, secret trade. Meylor had taken an interest in Cardassian history at the Academy, and was quite familiar with the Order's modus operandi. For one thing, they hardly ever identified themselves while in combat action, and certainly not to aliens, unless it specifically suited their purposes. Sure enough, this soldier bore no discernible emblem on his uniform, unlike the Military Orders who so proudly displayed their unit insignia. With luck, however, Meylor just might be throw up a barrier to his further progress.
He and T'Shann took cover behind several large, sturdy duranium seed bins. While she visually scanned the room for another environment control panel, he tried to call the rest of his team out in the corridor through his commbadge as quietly as possible. If he could get them to corral the intruders into the lab, and then get at the environment controls, he might just be able to take all of them out in one go. It was a bit risky, but it was their best chance right now, and with the numbers on their side, very doable.
Obligingly, his team responded with due haste, and soon all seven remaining Cardassians were being herded into the room by withering enemy fire. They seemed to be holding their own, nonetheless, and would be able to escape out a second door on the far side of the lab. Before that cold happen, another environment panel had to be located. The room had several such controls, but the closest one, they now saw, was on a balcony just above T'Shann and Meylor. A ladder just a few feet away led up to it. The space between was totally exposed, though, and both of their hazard suits were beginning to lose integrity after several hits from the extremely nasty disruptor beams. "Perhaps these seed bins can be useful?" T'Shann asked with typical Vulcan equanimity. Meylor only smiled and nodded for her to proceed.
In the space of a few intense seconds, T'Shann disengaged the locking clamps on two of the large bins, pushed both decidedly hefty loads with remarkably little apparent effort, then opened fire to further cover Meylor's simultaneous rush to the ladder. The covers on the bins fell off unceremoniously, allowing the contents of the bins to spill in a great wave of rushing yellow-brown particles. Two enemy soldiers were swept back in the torrent, providing a vital lack of immediate danger for Meylor to make his way to the level above them. Calling up the temperature controls, Meylor desperately worked the balky panel as fast as he could before more of his team fell to the invaders. Freeze, you bloody Cardies!, he thought. Soon enough, however, the air in the lab dipped down to freezing, leaving his team cold but coherent. The Cardassians, however were a different story.
Their circulatory systems couldn't take the strain, and they each began slipping into cardiac arrest as their bodies rapidly betrayed them. It seemed a barrier to their entry had been found, after all. Meylor stood at the railing looking down with relief at the survivors of his team. "Well, I guess if they couldn't stand the cold, they should've..."
The ever-alert T'Shann quickly interrupted, raising her eyebrow in mild perturbation. "Please, sir; don't say it."

[Green] [Romulan D'deridex] [/green]
The Romulan Commander looked out the viewport as the romulan interceptor was being shot down by Andorian support. Looking frustrated he triggered his panel to make a communiqué to the support craft located just outside the border.
“To all Romulan craft, do not hesistate and show no mercy, we are dealing with a federation and andorian cooperation outside our border, that has engaged one of our interceptors, calling for all support craft, any D’Deridex class vessel is cleared to engage.” Upon the receipt of the message something came through appropriate channels.
“Commander we have received your call, and will engage these enemies, thank you for letting us know so quickly, romulan high command will look fondly upon this.” Commander shra replied back on communique.
After the brunt shots of both the andorian and federation support, the interceptor had been crippled beyond repair, but was able to send out a distress call.
“Sir, incoming, war birds, off the port bow, seems our support craft have arrived just on time.” The crewman gave noticed to the commander of the D’Deridex Sh’all.
“Now is the time we move in for the advance, lets show these federation, and andorians what it means to be romulan.” Commander Zval replied then noted to his crewman to engage fire on the andorian battleship.
[Blue] [Battleship Shraj] [/Blue]
“What in the name, we just picked up five enemies on scanners, they appear to be romulan” the andorian science officer replied.
“Power up weapons and begin sending out a communique to the andorian high command, were gonna need some help with this” Captain arcon relayed the message
“Understood Captain, sending now.” the communications officer noted then triggered upon request on the panel.
“Shields and Weapons are at full power sir, are you ready for countermeasures.” the tactical officer relayed.
“Yes, send them out now.” Captain arcon was anxious at ending this romulan encounter quickly and quietly.
Watching out the viewport, a barrage of firepower was sent at the nearest war bird which had crossed the border, upon the incoming shots some of it was burning from the side.
[white] [USS Vesuvius - A] [/white]
“Romulan targets, five war birds have just been confirmed crossing the border, we need support and quickly, I hope the andorians are up to something.” Commander Halthor replied then touched his panel triggering a phase burst on the war bird that had been shot by the andorian battleship.
“Here you go sir, something that will be important in handling the romulan strike force, straight from andoria.” the communication officer noted then handed halthor the padd.
“Looks like data has just come in, were getting the support, we need, about four andorian battleships, and three frigates, along with three andorian fighter squadron support.” Halthor commented after reviewing the padd that he had just received from one of the communication officers.
“Continue providing support Battleship Shraj, we will do our best, to help.” halthor sent on friendly frequencies.
[Blue] [Battleship Shraj] [/Blue]
Standing up, and listening to the new communiqué. Captain arcon watched out his viewport as he saw his andorian fleet arrive out of warp.
The andorians on the bridge put there hands up and yelled in tandem. It looked to be a battle cry.

This was certainly becoming interesting. Sonak watched from her seat as Halthor co-ordinated the shots that were send out at their Romulan aggressors. There were still reports coming in from Cardassians boarding the now helpless Vesuvius. Annoyed, she wiped her hair from her face, then rubbed her burning eyes. A console had exploded right into her face and her vision was quite blurred.
With the chief medical officer now unconscious, and her mate still trapped on Discordia, there wasn't much she could do but sit out the battle. She yelped as someone yanked back her head by her hair and pulled her to her feet. "Don't move, or I'll kill you," she heard whispered in her ear. She stood frozen for a moment, then nodded slightly that she'd understood.
In the mean time she heard her Andorian chief engineer yell out reports, and heard Meylor's report over the comm-link. She had no idea who'd taken her, her agressor was behind her and she couldn't identify him by his voice. It could be either Romulan or Cardassian, as both had boarding parties aboard now.
A bright flash filled her limited vision, followed by a cheer from those on the bridge. "Romulan vessel destroyed," someone reported. It wasn't Thorad, that much she knew. The Andorian operations officer had long since passed out as a result from his injuries. Where was Logan when she needed him? Where was Fox?"
"Evasive maneuvres!" she called out, ignoring the jab of a weapon in her back. "Pattern theta. Detach Mercury and Discordia, have them cloak and attack!"
"That was stupid," her captor whispered.
Sonak shrugged in response; she didn't care. She was tired, cranky and injured, and more worried for the safety of her crew than her own. "Halthor, contact the Andorians! We have-" She broke off when her captor silenced her by sharply striking her across her face and she sank to the deck.
A Vulcan knelt beside her, though when she looked closer she saw it was no Vulcan at all. She didn't recognise him, but knew he must've beamed aboard not long ago, when the interceptor had made a close pass. "Order them to cease firing, and I'll spare you all."
The Vulcan commodore spat in his face. "Never," she answered, wiping blood from her mouth. "Halthor, Tovan you have your orders. Ensign An, wherever you are, we have intruders on the bridge!"
Meanwhile on Discordia, Jatan cast Byrne an anxious look. "We have to get up there," he called angrily, "you're called up there. She needs help. Main bridge is under attack, they've got wounded, among which the CMO. I have to get up there!" He whirled around to look at Fox. "You're her friend...tell him!" He pointed back at Byrne while shouting at the science chief. "If they hurt her...she hates Cardassians, I can't even begin to predict what she might do if she comes face to face with them."

"Sonak to Fox. Did you not have medical expertise somewhere in that long service record of yours? I have injured on the bridge. If Jatan is with you, I could use his assistance right now!"
Fox heard the cracking comm message from Sonak and tabbed his comm-badge to respond. "No Ma'am, i have never served as medical officer anywhere." He answered "However i have done some field medics once." He looked at Jatan who was with him. "But i have a very capable doctor here with me. We'll come your way. Fox out."
Fox walked to one of the consoles and Jatan walked with him. Looking over his shoulder he asked "What are you doing?" Then he saw that Fox was locking the computer on both their comm-badges. "Ready for a site to site transport?" he asked Jatan "We're going to the Commodore." Jatan nodded in response. "Computer initiate routine Fox-Gamma-TwentyOne."
A blue glow started to appear around both men. Right at that moment the ship heavily shook from the quick seperation and Fox' transport was aborted. Immediately Fox looked at his console and saw they had seperated and were cloaked. Jatan was standing behind him again, very worried and in panic.
"I have to get there!" Jatan whirled around to look at Fox. "You're her friend...tell him!" He pointed back at Byrne while shouting at the science chief. "If they hurt her...she hates Cardassians, I can't even begin to predict what she might do if she comes face to face with them."
Fox looked at Byrne. "He is right Commander. Scans show intruders on the main bridge. We have to do something. Let me and Jatan try to help there." From Byrne's face Fox could tell he didn't like it but Byrne nodded in agreement. "Alright" he said "We'll transport you two over there, but we can't decloak long."
Fox nodded and started to change his transport-routine. Meanwhile Byrne manouvred the module back to Minerva who hadn't cloaked. When they were close to Minerva Fox called "Computer initiate routine Fox-Gamma-TwentyOne-Alpha."
For a brief moment the module decloaked, enough to transport and recloaked again. Both men appeared in a corridor near a tube entrance, not far from the bridge. Fox pulled the hatch off and crawled in, followed by Jatan who closed the hatch again. Through the tube they crawled toward the brigde, phasers in one hand, tricorder in the other.
Near the hatch to enter the bridge they stopped. The tricorder showed cardassians and romulans on the bridge along with some of their own crew. Also phaser fire could be detected. Fox looked at Jatan hoping he had an idea what to do now.

Meylor and his now battered but unbowed team hustled up the decks to the Main Bridge as soon as they heard the Commodore's new orders over the comm. After consulting with T'Shann, whose Tactical advice he had learned to rely upon in past weeks, they elected to approach the Bridge from a less obvious route via the only two Jeffries Tube spokes that connected to Deck 1. They had the necessary security override codes in case the Bridge had already been captured and sealed off, and along with the surprise element of an attack from both hatches, one near the aft engineering console and the other actually inside the unoccupied Ready Room, they would have as good a chance as any to re-secure the ship's command center.
A great metallic shudder passed through the deck just then, and Meylor realized that the separation sequence must be in progress. Probably a wise idea if the Bridge had been compromised. However, it might hamper their damage control efforts if the combined power of the modules wasn't maximized. Clearly securing the Bridge was their number one priority at the moment.
Half the team split off to the far end of the corridor on Deck 2, and they soon located the tube hatch which would take them up the final stretch to the Ready Room. They would have the best chance, since not only were they coming from the least expected position, but also could access the office terminal and possibly even gain control of Bridge systems from there. Meylor and the remainder of the team entered the primary hatch and immediately ran into what they had been bracing themselves for: intruders. Or that's what they seemed to be at first. It took all of Meylor's discretion not to fire at their sudden appearance, and his instincts were vindicated when it turned out to be Dr. Reckus and Commander Fox. He lowered his phaser slightly and greeted them with immense relief.
"It's good to see you two gentlemen again. You're the first friendly faces we've seen the since landing in the shuttlebay. Now don't let the cat out of the bag yet, but half my team is ready to spring from the cover of the Ready Room at my signal, and we're going to try to support them from our position. Any suggestions or concerns you have, feel free to air them. Please do it quickly, though..."

“Captain Azon we have arrived out of warp, Captain arcon’s ship has been sending constant fire on the romulan enemy for quite a while, and we have received reports of more romulan war birds, and the romulan interceptor he had intercepted was destroyed in the attack” Sub Lt Zal Responded
“Good, very good, commence firing on the nearest war bird you see, and make communication with the Federation Vessel, it looks like they have been battered at this little attack these romulan had engaged.” Captain Azon noted.
“Aye sir, ill make sure they get it, commencing fire!” Sub Lt Zal gave the orders to the communications officer then touched the panel to direct fire on the nearest romulan war bird.
Watching, the Battleship shot two repeating blue and white phase burst that shot straight into the romulan war birds shields.
[green] [Warbird Ja’al] [/green]
“Those pesky Andorians, always want a fight, they will get one this time. Tactical officer, engage that andorian battleship and don’t stop firing until I say so” Commander S’esk replied
“Yes Commander, engaging.” Tactical officer s’shal began the triggering sequence then watched through the firing modes as he locked on the target, and pressed the button to fire.
Out the viewport, both ships the Ja’al and Alal were busy having a counter attack thrown at one another, with the ships flying all over space, and it was beginning to get messy.
[blue] [Battleship Shraj] [/blue]
“So our escort has come to defend us, we shall return the favor.” Snickering, then pressing the terminal, the ship immediately went to red alert, crewman went to ready status and captain arcon began speaking his famous orders.
“Lets give em pain, from andoria, to there home” Captain Arcon motioned then sat back watching the fireworks.
[white] [USS Vesuvius - A] [/white]
“Receiving new data from the andorian attack team, they have entered from warp, and have begun bombarding the romulan war birds. This is looking good.” Vander sat back in the command chair, as he saw war birds fly by, and andorian battleships chasing.
“New target incoming, its one of the romulan war birds, target name yzval” Vander read on the terminal, after seeing a new battle become what it was.
“Yzval, we have you on scanners, and are ready to use any force necessary to protect ourselves, if you wishing to attack, be prepared for a counter offensive, this is a federation ship and we are under the protection of the United Federation of Planets along with its allies that includes the Andorians. Do you comply?” Vander sent out the communique to the romulan ship, then motioned to himself “Im sure they wont follow with these orders, so we will need to use all force as necessary.

"We're but a doctor and a science officer," Jatan replied, forcing a smile, "you're an operations officer, or were anyway. What're you doing on board anywhat?" Jatan didn't mean any offense but he knew that Meylor had left the Vesuvius months ago, to go back to Bajor was the last he heard.
They waited until Meylor's team was ready, then proceeded to assault the bridge.
On the bridge, Sonak didn't turn when her sharper hearing picked up a sound. The Romulan, however did turn when he heard. The Vulcan used her captor's distraction to her advantage and shoved him aside. Drawing her phaser as she lost her balance and collided with the console, she didn't look at what setting it was set but merely pressed the trigger and sent him into unconsciousness.
She waved Jatan off as he approached. "See to Thorad and Marco," she ordered, rubbing her sore shoulder as she got to her feet again. "Commander Fox, a pleasure to see you again. Please get in contact with the Andorian vessels and inform them of our status. Meylor, would you take tactical for now?"
The Vulcan watched as his team overpowered the enemy that was present on main bridge and she didn't know if she could be prouder than she was now. "Signal the Andorians that we appreciate their assistance," she ordered, "and ask them how they learned of our.....difficulties. Are we in disputed area?"
