.Lieutenant Stanching shifts uneasily in his chair; "Can I speak freely here sir?" Cmdr Matthew inclined his head and raised an eyebrow. "Of course." Marine Lieutenant Stanching "I am honored as I said earlier, and I will conduct my duties to the best of my ability! But why a Marine sir? Why me? I have the feeling there is some politics between SFMC and Star Fleet on this?"
Cmdr Matthew nodded, understanding the question. "Well, as far as the politics go, I can't speak for General Masters , but politics were not a factor in you being offered the position. I contacted Masters and asked her to recommend the best officer for the job."
Lt Stanching looked down at the PADD from the commander and showed a look of relief. Stanching empathic ability had confirmed that the Commander was being sincere. LT Stanching "I am glad sir, I can do a job for you here and I want you to understand that as soon as my uniform changes so do my ultimate loyalties!"
Cmdr Matthew grinned, liking the young man's enthusiasm. "Sounds great. When you reach your new quarters, you'll find a complete status report on the Ship and missions over the last 2 years . I'll expect you to go over it thoroughly and be prepared to start your new duties at 0800 hours tomorrow."
Marine Lieutenant Stanching stood up and smiled for the first time in years, Stanching finally felt as if he was returning home again. " Thank you again sir, I will be reporting as you asked and I will sort out my affairs in the mean time."
Cmdr Matthew stood as well and extended his hand. "Excellent, Lieutenant. We may not be serving on a star-ship, but I feel the saying. 'Welcome Aboard' ... fits nicely here. I'm sure you'll make an excellent addition to our staff." LT Stanching ::takes Commander Matthew 's hand and shakes it firmly:: " I will do my best, sir!" Cmdr Matthew smiled again. "I know you will, I now have a senior Department meeting to get too I will inform the commodore that you are on board and have Accepted the assignment Lieutenant. You are Dismissed."
LT Stanching spun on his heels and exited the office looking for the Ship quartermaster .
He would then need to run over to the Marine base and collect his personal stuff. There was also the issue of Beverly, which was also on his mind. For some reason her reaction was important to him, but the decision was made and Stanching was feeling elated at this moment.

"How graceous of you to finally report to sickbay," T'Val said, as she beckoned the first officer to seat himself on a biobed. "Any complaints about your health?" she enquired, as she waved the scanner over him while she peered at the diagnostic board for the results. It showed slightly elevated bloodpressure, and an increased cholesterol value.
"I am putting you on a reduced cholesterol diet," she announced, "you will avoid substances like liver and eggs, expecially egg yolk. Otherwise, you seem to be in perfect health." She motioned for him to wait a moment while she went to retrieve a PADD from her office.
"Please give this to Commodore Loskene," she requested, handing Matthews the PADD, "he will know what to do with it. Meanwhile, if you see Mr Winters or Ms Kel, please have them report to sickbay otherwise I will be forced to report them."

Raiben waited for his turn to be examined. The doc was busy dealing with their XO and is too well concentrated on her work.
"Well doctor, i must advice you to see an optometrist" said Raiben standing near at the opposite bio bed.

"Well doctor, i must advice you to see an optometrist" said Raiben standing near at the opposite bio bed. T'Val whirled around on her heels, obviously startled. Yade squawked in annoyance and betrayed the startled feeling of her partner. "I beg your pardon?" T'Val asked, her face once more composed in a neutral expression, "there is nothing wrong with my eyes. I must have been busy elsewhere when you entered sickbay. And you must have done so very quietly, because Yade did not see you either...and Yade very rarely misses anything." She motioned towards the biobed. "Please lie down and hold perfectly still," she said. She had read Winters' medical record and wanted to gain her own opinion. "I am going to perform a CAT-scan, and an MRI," she explained, "you must not move." A few minutes later, the bed re-appeared from the tunnel, and T'Val downloaded the results onto a PADD. Startled, she looked up at Winters, but she found nothing else wrong with him. "You are dismissed," she said, then walked off to her office. "T'Val to Commodore Loskene....I have some disturbing news for you, regarding your chief of security." She looked down at the PADD and again read the result: severe psychological trauma, violent episodes at random.

Raiben looked towards the doctor. He remmembered the doctors at the station also reported about that. He cannot argue with the doctors, he has done terrible things; but he can remmember on his first mission he saved lives and he believed that he can do it again.
So he gived a thanks to the doctor with his head and slid away with haste towards the bridge. He must lay his hands across his tactical console and must have to do the eight check of the systems; and also must attend to the senior staff meeting.

Realising she had just enough time Jalli-tol decided to get her medical out of the way before th mission briefing. Making sure Harash-kyat hadnt managed to trash their appartment already and checking in on little Talon-kyat she made her way to the ships sickbay. It seemed very busy, it seemed everyone had had the same idea. Annoyed she'd have to wait, Jalli-tol picked up a PADD and took a seat to await her turn.

Loskene was just about to head into the briefing lounge when his communicator chirped. He rolled his eyes and tapped it.
"Loskene here. Go ahead"
T'Val: This is sickbay, Commodore. I have some news to report to you regarding your chief of security.
After giving Loskene the info on Raiben...
Loskene: Yes, I had also noticed that, and we had seen him do some peculiar things lately.
T'val: Well then, I must enquire...why is this man on duty? Surely you must think this is a little unwise?
Loskene: At the first sign of trouble doctor, I will relieve Mr. Winters and have him report to sickbay.
T'Val: Well, I hope that is the right desicion...
Loskene: Please report to the bridge, Doctor. The briefing will begin very shortly.
Loskene turned off his communicator and walked into the briefing room. All officers were there, and Commander Matthew, Ensign Winter and Doctor T'Val soon followed. Once everyone was seated, Loskene began to speak.
Loskene: Good afternoon everyone. I assume that everyone has been informed of my expierence in my quarters yesterday?
Everyone nodded.
Loskene: Good. Well, then, I have been given permission to take the Jefferson into Romulan space. We are to proceed to the planet Cirrus Procae and we will find out if the Romulans are experimenting with some kind of dangerous technology. Our mission is to destroy it and not get caught in the process.
Max Powers: Hm...and how are we supposed to get in? And how do we destroy it without getting caught?
Loskene: One step at a time, Mr. Powers. We are being lended a cloaking device.
Max Powers: ...Guess that means I'll be the one who will end up installing it?
Loskene: It should be arriving soon. It must be installed before we leave. I want everyone at their stations and ready. Once we get to the border of the neutral zone, the cloak will be activated. After that, we will just have to wait and see if it works. Luckily, Starfleet has provided us with a partial map of Romulan sensor arrays in the immediate area. With some careful maneuvering on the part of Mr. Gibson, we should be fine until we move beyond the boundries of the map. Once we get there, we will just have to be extra careful, and plan our moves carefully. Well, that's all for now everyone. Please report to your stations.

Sighing, Aral looked around. He was the only senior officer on the bridge. Reluctantly he stood and went to the centre seat. Before he would have jumped for the chance to command the bridge, but now he felt more weary, more cautious. Plus the fact that he felt like an intruder on his own ship. Aral had learned by observation that a leader can not lead with out respect.
A young female ensign sat at the ops console. She had such dark brown hair it appeared almost black.
"Ensign, whats the situation in your department." He asked, his voice steady.
"We're ready to go whenever we need to." She looked back at her console and then turned back to him ,"What is our plan anyway?"
Aral gave a small snort of laughter, though he wasn't amused but agreeing with her curiousity, "That's a good question. We'll have to wait until Loskene comes back up here to get an answer though. He seems in a rush to do something."
She gave him a small smile and went back to her work. Aral continued to look at the back of her head for a moment before looking away and making departmental requests for status reports.
Fairly soon officers began to come onto the bridge through the turbolift and into the conferance room. Aral raised his eyebrows as they went by him. Just before the last officer went through he looked back at Aral. It was Max.
"Staying out by yourself, are you? Thats an idea. I could use something to eat instead of going to this. Cake would be nice." Max said. Aral gave him a questioning look.
"Briefing- right now." Max said, an amused look on his face for the fact that Aral had not known.
"Oh! Alright then. Thanks." He said, while he was mentally thinking something more along the lines of- 'Now somebody tells me!'.
Aral stood and entered the breifing room, behind Max. He sat and listened to the meeting, not saying anything.
When it was over and Aral was more satisfied with what was going on he went and took his seat at the helm. He laid in a course for Cirrus Procae, and waited for the command from the commodore.

T'Val was the last one to leave the briefing room; she still wasn't sure what exactly their mission was, but she figured it was just her job to look after the health and welfare of the crew, especially Loskene. It was not her job to question Starfleet, and it's command decisions, after all she was just a civillian.
She did notice that there was yet another crewmember who hadn't reported for his physical yet. Walking over to the navigation console, she tapped the officer. "Excuse me, commander?" she asked, "I believe that you have not yet reported to sickbay for your physical. I will have to relieve you of duty if you do not report within four hours."
With that, she left the bridge and headed back for sickbay.

=/\= On The Bridge of the USS JEFFERSON =/\=
James entered the bridge from the aft turbo lift and took a look around. This was a team that was used to working together,
This was the way he liked it. The crew knew their jobs and there was no need to re-invent the wheel. "Lt, cmdr ... report", James ordered as he raised his voice over the chatter of the bridge. The 2nd officer was leaned over the navigation console with his foot braced against the seat support. He turned. "Doctor T’val informs me that most of the Jefferson officers & crew have been released to duty.
=/\= Five Minutes Later =/\=
Cmdr Matthew "Mr. Caldwell. Signal to star base that we are requesting permission to leave space dock . " "Aye sir", Benson responded. James had barely shifted his weight in his chair before Lieutenant Caldwell signal the star base operations has given permission to leave space dock
Cmdr Matthew > well’ that was fast they must need our docking port for Another ship James pressed a button on his Consol ’
Attention all decks we are About to get underway all departments please report in to the operations officer that all”
Cmdr Matthew > Let see if the old girl can still move “
Lt Dax release all docking clamps & mooring signal the dock master that we are leaving our docking port “
Helm Reverse one Quarter impulse as the Large Ship slowly move backward you can see the hull Number Jefferson Ncc-750076 become clear .
Cmdr Matthew> Helm once we cleared the star base and all shipping traffic set course for the federation Romulan the Neutral Zone warp 5.
Cmdr Matthew > taps the comm. Badge Captain we have left the star base course set for the Romulan federation Border all Department have reported in all ship systems are good to go what are your orders sir.

Raiben was curious about the mission. Its a real head ache for a tactical officer. The mission briefing showed that its filled with errors and problems.
How they are going to find out the target without being seen. Even the dambest Romulan will notice the Federation sensor sweep freaquencies and they can even recognize the warp and engine trails of a Federation starship even if its cloaked. They have became experts on this job.
And how they are supposed to destroy it without being noticed. Are they going to wipe clean the planet if the device was there?
Raiben stoped thinking at this point or its going to drive him to madness. He walked towards the captains ready room and rang the chime.
"Come in" came the reply. Raiben entered the room and waited for the doors to close.
"What is it ensign?" asked Commodore.
"Permission to speak freely, sir?" asked Raiben and Loskene nodded.
"Sir, this mission planing is a disaster. A Sovereing class starship firstly was not build to carry a cloaking device so its not going to work with even %80 efficiency. Secondly any Romulan dumb will notice that a Federation starship has entered the Romulan zone and if we are comprimized this will start out a full scale war, as we have disobeyed the Kithomer treaty by installing cloak to a Federation starship" said Raiben
<tag Loskene>
"This ship cannot fire under cloak and our only available chance will be shuttles launched from a very low orbit and it will increase the chance of Jefferson's detection under cloak. Under current mission bindings i cannot prepare or ready out a strike team; and it will take at least two days for a team to be prepared to top notch status. If you ask me, that you will not, this mission is a suicide for the Federation and us." continued Raiben
Before Commodore Loskene can speak Raiben started again "But sir i must say another thing. I'm glad that they are sending us. I will go to hell with you if i have to, sir"

I am aware of the Khitomer accord ensign. However, you must understand that there are billions of lives at stake. I would say that is more important then the treaty. Also, we are currently in the process of coming up with a way to mask our warp and ion trails. The results are pending but promising.
Glad to hear it ensign. Because hell is where we are heading. I'm not saying this will be an easy mission, I am nearly certain that something could happen, but it is a chance we have to take. This is a duty and mission that goes beyond diplomacy. This is life and death we are dealing with here. Well, I know one thing. We will not be destroyed so easily. Dismissed.
Ensign Winters left and Loskene sat down.
It won't be easy. We may not even make it, and we could even start a civil war. There must be someway to do this without chaos... Loskene said to himself.
At that moment his panel beeped.
Matthew: Sir, we have just reached the edge of the neutral zone. We are just readying the cloak.
Loskene: I am on my way.

Lt Zucchini>"there are no Romulan Vessels in this sector at this time but sir if they are cloaked there could be a fleet waiting for us to cross in to Romulan space then Attack us if I was a Romulan fleet commander that what I would do.
Cmdr Matthew > so would I but we have a mission to cared out continue to run long and short range and sensors sweeps of the Area .
Cmdr Matthew > mister winters take the ship to yellow Alert I don’t like being this close to the Romulan border without my weapons online.

Raiben directed some science sensor readings towards his console to take a look. Then suddenly his face started housing a grin.
"Sir, i have an idea that will put us in some distress but will save us from a lot worries. My tactical sensors show that we have been detected by a small Romulan listening outpost. It has categorized us as a Federation starship. It will send his report towards a Romulan starship or base in the following hour or two. If we engage our cloak right now it will raise suspicion as a federation starship cannot disappear in an instant" started Raiben
"So what do you suggest Ensign?" asked Cmdr. Matthews
"There is an enough Large Gas giant near a nebula. We can point our course there and engage the cloak while entering the nebula. Those posts do not house efficient sensor equipment as a ship so it will loose us and this will decrease the suspiscion" finished Raiben when the Commodore entered the bridge.

Jalli-tol, following her brief medical check and the meeting with the ships senior staff, returned to the science lab. She began ordering the place, making sure that everything had a place and that it was in it.
She catalogued and sorted and once she was happy that the lab was in order she settled back. It was then her comm chimed
"This is the Bridge. You are requested at the science station" Huffing Jalli-tol acknowldeged and departed.
It took a few minutes to reach teh bridge and she quickly and quietly took her seat. "Ah commander" Loskene greeted "We have a tricky situation, A romulan listening post has detected us. Mr Winters has developed a plan to avoid detection by skimming a gas giant and entering a nebula. I need you to monitor the SIF fields and prepare the sensors in case the nebula affects them" "Aye sir" Jalli-tol began making the neccessary calibrations when she detected a surge in the sensor array. "I dont wish to alarm anyone but I believe I am detecting a cloaked ship entering the system"
"I thought you said we would have an hour or twos grace before a ship got here" Raiben looked up from his console, "That was assuming a vessel wasnt already scheduled to enter in to the system." "A science ship or perhaps a supply vessel maybe?" Loskene mused "I doubt they would travel under cloak." Matthews pointed out. "Well lets not stick around to find out. All possible speed to the nebula please and lets hope we can outpace, if indeed they are after us."

Loskene began to sweat when suddenly he remembered...
Loskene: Computer, end program!
The bridge slowly faded away and the bridge crew got up.
Loskene: That was good. Some good ideas brought forth from Mr. Winters. However, not good enough. What was the problem, how did they detect us?
Mr. Powers got up.
Powers: Sir, the console detected that our cloaking device began to malifunction. I agree with Mr. Winters analysis that a Sovereign class ship will not be able to efficiently house a cloaking device. The ship is too massive.
Loskene: There must be some way to reinforce or allocate power to the cloaking device. Any ideas?
<tag: Mr. Powers, Jalli-Tol.>
OOC: Reset. I feel that this is happening too fast.

Raiben looked towards the CEO and CSO. They both are dived inside their creative minds.
Raiben started guessing what they are thinking. Max was probably thinking that adding a BBQ to the cloaking device will solve the problem and their new CSO was probably thinking about solving it with some upgrades and some modifications will solve the problem. What they both lack in those thoughts is that they will cost them a lot of time.
Raiben started thinking of some solutions. Firstly a Romulan D'deridex is a much larger ship than theirs but it was builded around the Romulan cloaking tech. Their Sovereign is build around the idea to be a great foe towards the Borg and house a lot of firepower with a beautifull defence not foregoing the diplomatic and scientific duties. This ship is not a one that will carry a cloak with even %60 efficiency. And the simulation revealed that.
"Sir, i may have an idea" said Raiben.
"Go on ensign" replied Loskene.
"Sir, the cloak is not working; because it is not build to be functional with the federation starship tech. I have looked out to the D'deridex files of the starfleet and came up with a solution i presume" started Raiben. He walked towards the center of the holodeck and ordered the computer to raise the holo-emmiter.
"Here we see the D'deridex and next to it the Sovereign. Now i am going to show you the related systems of the D'deridex's cloak" the holo-emmiter showed a listing of systems. "Now take a look at this reading. The Warbird got a SIF 1.76 times of a relative Federation vessel. And its system, shield and weapon power output is far more less then a Sovereign. So we must turn every power towards the cloak and SIF. And if we take into account that Romulans use their Deflector tech on life and death situations we must also close that. Its my theory that with that we may be able to raise the efficency of the cloak to %79.89 of its origin. And with finding a way to mask our warp and impulse trails we may be able to get inside the Romuln territory easily" finished Raiben.
OOC: Glad that you discontinued that way and i am glad that my decloaking warbird helped you to do that. We firstly must findout a way to use the cloak efficiently, its imperative that it is not going to work quite easily on our ship. But if it was an Interpid or Saber it will work smoothly.

~the Romulan Empire~ T'Val mused, as she busied herself with her patients. One of the men she had handed over to security only hours earlier had yet again gone wrong and entered a holodeck program with the safeties off. This time, his injuries were not only the broken wrist he had before, but several broken ribs and a concussion as well.
"I'm in pain doctor," the man whined, wincing as she professionally probed his broken limbs. She was a hands-on doctor, using her hands and eyes over just simply grabbing the nearest scanner. "Please, gimme someting for the pain."
T'Val gazed down at him stoically. "No," she finally said, "I am not going to give you anything for the pain. You will have to deal with it yourself, taking plenty of rest and no more holodeck adventures for a long while. Perhaps then you will learn that the safeties are there for a reason." She dismissed him with a wave of her hand and watched him shuffle out of sickbay.
Then, she returned to her office, where her son was happily waving to get her attention. She smiled as she picked him up and held him. "You miss him too, do you not?" she whispered, as she retrieved a bottle from her desk drawer and replicated baby nourishment which she poured into the bottle. "I do too, I just hope he is not engaged into some foolish mission. We will see him again when we dock next at Assaillant, when we return from this foolish mission.
She realised, that by being married to a Romulan, she too was automatically granted Romulan citizen ship. ~I ought to inform Loskene~ she thought. When D'Beren had finished his bottle, she placed him back into his play-pen and beckoned the nearest nurse. "T'Ren, please watch him until I return," she said, then turned to leave sickbay, pleased when Yade winged in to land on her shoulder. The little green usually never left her side, and only did so - reluctantly - when she was told specifically not to come.
To T'Val, the turbolift ride up to the bridge took ages, but once there she marveled for a moment at seeing the bridge. "Commodore, a moment please," she asked, stepping down to the command level. "I ought to inform you that, by being married to a Romulan, I hold a Romulan citizenship. I hope that this will not pose a problem during our mission?"

The officers began to file out of the holodeck and back to their posts. He reflected on his crews observations and he knew what Raiben said was true. It would take a hell of a lot of power allocation to make the cloak work. "Max Powers is a very capable officer, but could something like this be out of his league, and perhaps the engineer who built this ship couldn't even begin to think about how to make a cloak work" Loskene thought to himself. Loskene planned to make a stop at the bridge, and then go right to engineering and have a meeting with the engineering team.
Loskene reached the bridge, and Gibson, Matthew and Winters were all busy arguing about how to make the cloak work. Jalli-Tol was standing behind them. She seemed angry that they talking among themselves and wouldn't let her into the conversation. She grunted and the officers turned around and let her in on the conversation. Loskene sighed and ran his hand through his hair. He was tired and sweaty, it had been a very long day. Just as he was about to check in with the group, Doctor T'Val approached Loskene...
Loskene thought for a moment or two... He was unsure of what could happen if they were discovered. Would she be in peril? Could we make use of her status? Everything seemed up in the air...
Loskene: Well....I'm not too sure. Do you have some sort of ambassador status or perhaps some kind of permit that lets you into Romulan space freely?

T'Val shook her head. "I do not have an ambassadorial status. I am not sure how to explain this properly, perhaps I should use a human example. If an American woman were to marry a Frenchman, then she automatically also gains the French nationality. This has also occursed when I married Tedak according to Romulan customs, I gained the Romulan nationality, basically."
She thought for a moment. "I suppose that indeed means that I can freely travel into Romulan space, thus enabling me to visit my husbands family if I should choose to do so." T'Val looked up again. "That should not pose a problem, should it?" She realy hoped it wouldn't.

Loskene looked up at his Chief Medical officer with a confused honesty.
Loskene: I'm afraid I'm not sure if it could pose a problem. Of course I certainly hope not. For now it isn't important. Oh, it seems we have just penetrated past the Romulan border...
A console began to beep at the security station.
Winters: Sir, internal sensors are reading a strange power surge on Deck 12 in Jeffries tube 5.
Loskene: What kind of power surge.
Winters: I'm not sure, whatever it is the internal sensors are not reading it right. It's nothing I've seen before.
The Grazerite Jalli-Tol walked over to the security console. She stared at it for a good ten seconds.
Loskene: Well?
Jalli-Tol: I'm not familiar with it....Though it does bear a slight resemblance to the power surge that Mr. Powers registered in your quarters several days ago.
Loskene immediately ran over to the console and looked it over.
Loskene: Alright, Mr. Winters and Jalli-Tol. Come with me to the jeffries tube. We must find out what is happening.
Commander Matthew walked up to the Commodore as Loskene entered the turbo lift.
Loskene: I know what you're about to say James. However, this is something I must see. I will not be deterred from seeing this no matter what anyone says.
Matthew: I.. understand sir...
Loskene: You have the bridge. Continue on course.
Loskene and the two officers headed down to Deck 12. Loskene rushed ahead of the two, they had to walk quickly to keep up with him.
Winters: Do you have a phaser, sir?
Loskene was too busy thinking to answer the CTSO's question. Loskene and the two officers approached the Jeffries tube. Loskene quickly crawled in. He motioned to the others to enter. Winters drew his phaser and crawled inside, followed by Jalli-tol.
Loskene: It should be close by. Be ready.
Jalli-Tol had a tricorder with her and began to get erratic readings.
Jalli-Tol: I'd say we are getting close.
Loskene: More then that, there it is.
Loskene motioned his head to the disturbance. It was a strange bright light emanating from the wall.
Jalli-Tol: Looks like a doorway. I can't get anything from the tricorder, it's just not functioning.
A few seconds later, a figure appeared at the doorway. Raiben had his phaser at the figure.
Loskene: Steady, Winters. Don't fire unless I tell you to.
The figure approached closer and closer to the doorway, and then suddenly, the figure jumped through the doorway, landing onto the floor. Loskene immediately recognized him.
Loskene: Admiral Loskene, I presume?
Figure: You are correct...
Admiral Loskene rose to his feet. His uniform was clean and organized.
Loskene: Have you found a nearby starbase to rest at?
Admiral Loskene: What do you mean by that?
Loskene: When last we spoke, you were in poor shape. Badly bruised, beaten and dirty.
Admiral Loskene: I have not spoken to you recently, or ever for that matter.
Loskene: I'm sorry, Admiral? You came unannounced into my quarters more then a week ago.
Admiral Loskene: No, that was not me. And before you start telling your story, I must tell you something. I know who you spoke to.
Loskene looked at his future self in a state of confusion.
Admiral Loskene: I am Admiral Loskene. That man you spoke to is also Admiral Loskene.
Loskene: I don't follow you.............How? I mean what...?
Admiral Loskene: Do not fret. I will explain this as best as I can. That man you spoke to recently is not of this reality. He is from something that many have termed as "The Mirror reality" or "The Mirror Universe"
Loskene: I...Have heard of it...
Admiral Loskene: That man lives in a reality tormented by war. It is not however, our reality. He came to you, unaware that he had stepped into our reality. The temporal portal he came through displaced him. In essence, when he was speaking to you, he assumed he was speaking to his past-self in his reality. Simply put, He asked you to stop a threat which is non-existent in our reality.
Loskene: Oh no...
Admiral Loskene: Yes...He has made a terrible mistake. And now you are about to alter history in ways more terrible that I cannot begin to fathom. That is why I have come to you, Commodore. You must come with me. You will no doubt require proof of how I know of all this. Come with me to the Jefferson...My Jefferson.
Loskene: I will come with you.
Winters: Commodore!
Loskene: No, Mr. Winters. I must go.
Jalli-Tol: Commodore, I think this is a terrible mistake...Well, I think you will need some assistance.
Admiral Loskene: Of course, Jalli-Tol may come along if she wishes.
Winters: I must protest sir...
Loskene: I will return, Mr. Winters. Tell Commander Matthew to cut warp speed and stay where you are.
Loskene, the Admiral and Jalli-Tol approached the white hole in the wall and disappeared into it.

Loskene and Jalli-Tol stepped into the white portal. It was a strange feeling when they stepped inside. Almost a yanking sensation, as if they had been pulled away by a massive hurricane. Within a few seconds, the three of them were in a room. The room was clearly Starfleet: Federation consoles, equipment etc. Yet there were a few devices that looked alien to Commodore Loskene and Jalli-Tol.
Admiral Loskene: Welcome to the USS-Jefferson A.
Loskene: "A"?
Admiral Loskene: It is a long story, and we have more important things to discuss. To be brief, you are Fifteen years in the future. This is Science lab 1 and this is where we research temporal anomalies. We have recently made a fascinating discovery which will no doubt have the scientific community breathing down our necks. Observe this, gentlemen.
Admiral Loskene activated a console, and a hologram came up.
Admiral Loskene: This is a recreation of the Temporal rift that we discovered several years ago. As you can see, it looks like a giant cloud, almost nebula in appearance.
Loskene: And this is how you brought us here?
Admiral Loskene: That is correct. We were able to collect a small sample of the particles a few years ago, and we have just recently been able to manipulate the temporal particles. Our top scientists on the Jefferson were able to tune the particles to open a portal to a certain time period.
Loskene: I don't understand? Tune them?
Admiral Loskene: I don't fully understand it either. The physics are beyond my ability to comprehend. I don't think our scientists are fully versed in their own theories either! Anyway, it is not important. What is important is that we have been monitoring your situation, and it is important and crucial that I have found you. I have brought you here because I have found a way for you to get back into Federation space without being spotted by the Romulans.
Loskene: That's all you brought me here for?
Admiral Loskene: Well, Commodore, I'd say at this point that you will need my help. In your time, there is a fleet of Romulan ships heading in your ships direction. They are on border patrol, under cloak. Now, I can help modify your cloaking device, using some of this ships technology. This padd shows instructions on how to reinforce your cloak. We will need to bid each other fairwell soon, the rift is beginning to lose cohesion. It opens and closes in 15 hour cycles.
Loskene: Wait a minute. What about our mirror counterpart?
Admiral Loskene: What about him?
Loskene: Well, we can't just leave him and his crew to die.
Admiral Loskene: Commodore, their fate has been sealed. There is nothing we can do.
Loskene: Their universe is being destroyed. Surely there is something we can do.
Admiral Loskene smirked at his younger self.
Admiral Loskene: I remember that. That attitude. I had forgotten how noble I was. Foolishly noble. You will learn as I have that being the brave hero has its price. It has cost me much; friends....a ship....too much has been lost in the name of heroism. Just a vain attempt to become a celebrity.
Loskene: If you are indeed my future self, I may just as well die right here. You are not anything like me, and quite frankly, the idea of becoming like you is apalling.
Admiral Loskene: Hmph. Well, it would seem our business is concluded. Return to your ship and get the hell out of Romulan territory before you end up starting another Earth/Romulan war.
Loskene: So you are not willing to save our counterpart and his crew?
Admiral Loskene: Have you ever heard stories about his universe? It's horrifying. They live in chaos. Anarchy and corruption is rampant. They are savages. I don't understand your reasoning.
Loskene: My mirror self came through a portal in my quarters. The last time I checked, the particles were still lingering. Perhaps it would be possible to open the doorway before they dissapear completely.
Admiral Loskene: I can see there is no convincing you. Curious... I am somewhat dissapointed. When I look at you, I feel as if I have lost something... Something precious. I envy you Commodore. I can see now why I have sorely missed the past.
Loskene: Will you help me or not?
Admiral Loskene: There was a device, a device that was used to alter the transporter pattern to transport to other realties. It was first discovered by the Federation when a member of the Terran resistance appeared on Deep Space Nine.
Loskene: Yes, I have seen it before.
Admiral Loskene: The Federation was able to get ahold of the technology and actually constructed one. I believe I have one in the storage bay?
Loskene: How were you able to obtain the device??
Admiral Loskene: Heh. A past mission, Commodore. I will get the device, and then we will see if we can contact our counterpart. But do not misunderstand me, I still believe that this is a foolish endeavor...

========================= USS-Jefferson - A Science Lab 1 =========================
Lt. Cmdr. Raiben Winters entered in the science lab with a PADD in his hand and looking strait towards it he started to speak.
"Admiral, the last report from the task force come in and Commander Tulan finished his examination on..." Raiben riased his head and stared at the man he is breifing, Commodore Loskene. "...Commodore? It must have been a long time" Raiben said and continued.
"Commander Tulan finished his examination and his teory come out true. If the Jefferson did not turn back two alternate realities will collapse" he said.
"What does this means?" asked Commodore.
"Our counter part in that chaotic reality will become true" replied the Admiral.
========================== USS-Jefferson - A Jefferies Tube ==========================
Raiben stared at where Loskene and Jalli-Tol disappeared.
He wondered why Commodore didn't allowed him to go with them. It must have been about those behaviours he had during the last mission.
"You have been left behind for only one purpose..." came in a fammiliar voice "...you are far too precious to risk"
"It may be your thought Benjamin. But I do not think Commodore left me behing because of that. He left me here to take care of the ship and its crew. I am the only one capable to do that"
"May be you are right"
=/\=Winters to transporter room 1. Requesting a sight to sight transport to the bridge=/\=
Raiben felt the awkward feeling of disintegration and then bridge appeared instead of the glowing wall.
