The USS Raven bridge crew watched as the two vessels fought, Weill couldnt believe it, he thought he would be in it. The ships moved aroudn each other, the Unweildy Romulan was left as the Breen run rings round the large green mass of a Romulan warbird.
Deputy CTSO: " Romulan hailing sir"
Weill: " On screen"
The face of Rhian appeared, there were sparks flying everywhere, the Romulan had blood pouring from her head.
Weill: "How can i help Captain?"
Rhian: " Help me, get rid of the Breen"
Weill: " We are not invloved, the fight appears to be between you two only, i cant drag my vessel into it, especially after being hit by a Romulan shuttle"
Rhian: " I think for the good of the alliance and as we are fighting and old enemy we ought to stick together"
Weill:" Maybe, i will try and help out"
The viewscreen closed and Weill looked at Lise
Lise: "You arnt are you sir"
Weill: " not until provoked, put a channel through to the Breen"
The armoured Breen appeared
Weill: " Can I suggest a truce, there is no point in fighting"
Breen CO: " If you want a fight i will take you on also"
Weill: " Threats have no place here, i could threaten you by saying you are out gunned"
Breen CO: " Not for long"
The Breen vessel turned and fired again and again upon the Romulan and than span and speed up to ram the Romulan
Weill: " Lock a tractor beam on the Breen vessel"

OOC: I am sorry for my lack of posting. I have been offline for a while and it took me a few days to catch up. Isildur was shocked at the boldness of the Breen. The tractor beam started to emit from the Raven. No sooner had the tractor beam been engaged than the Breen ship fired on the Raven. The ship shook from the shot. "Now can we get involved?" Lise asked Weill who was now on the floor. "Lock phasers and return fire," Weill ordered as he stood up. Isildur was not sure the what the Breen captain was thinking. The andalite reached out into the Breen captain's mind. He was horrified at what he sensed. "Captain I suggeset we move the ship," Isildur said in a sadened tone. "Mr Cooraf we do not have..." he was cut off by the TO. "Sir the Breen ship has initiated a warp core breach," the TO said as he read the readings from his screen. Weill was supprised at the bold move. "Helm get us out of here at full impulse. Commander request the Romulans do the same," Weill said quickly. The Raven started to move but was caught in the blast of the warp core on the Breen ship. The crew were thrown from their posts as the ship shook violently.

Dixon tapped his comm badge again. "Commander, I am going to be of even less help now. I have lost my real time imagery from the Raven. They must have had to maneuver or something."
As he was speaking, Alex realized that he could actually see his shadow in the darkness. Looking up he saw that there was an expanding explosion in space above him. "Standby Commander. Dixon to Raven, come in please." Alex was reassured by the quick answer from Captain Weill.
"Mr. Dixon, the Raven is alright, but we are a little busy right now. Hang tight. Weill out" and the channel closed.
They must be in combat with more than one ship. Great. Looking up, Alex saw that the forces that he had noted earlier had gotten a lot closer. It was time to leave before their position was overrun.
As he was turning, there was a large explosion right behind him and Alex was thrown into his pile of debris. Ears ringing, Alex got up and staggered over and saw that the Admiral, Dr. Johnson and the two Croonian officials were on the ground. Pulling out his tricorder, Alex gave them all a quick scan. Agent Talon and the Admiral were all right, but the two Croonians were injured, but would live. Lt. Stephens ran over and knelt beside Alex. "Are they alright?" she inquired anxiously.
"The Admiral and Dr. Johnson will be alright, but the two Croonians are hurt." As he was talking, the Admiral and Johnson started to get to their feet.
"Doctor, you will have to take care of the Croonians and the Admiral and prepare to move them. We have enemy troops coming at us. Lt. Stephens, we are going to have to hold them off for a few minutes."
The young woman grasped her rifle and said "I'm not a soldier."
Alex shrugged. "Neither am I. Let's go."

Admiral Clark still seemed groggy from the explosion as Dixon and Stephens prepared to leave to face the attacking hostiles.
Dr. Johnson grasped Dixon's arm as he and Stephens turned. "What's your plan, Alex?" she asked.
"Commander Burgess and his group should be about 400 meters from here at a bearing of 57 degrees. Take the Admiral and the Coonians that way and try to hook up with him. Stephens and I will try to draw the ones over there away from your group." Alex could see that she wanted to argue, but knew that her primary responsibility was the mission, just as she did. Johnson nodded slowly, organized her group and started them moving towards Commander Burgess.
Alex and Stephens turned and ran towards some debris piles, took cover behind them and looked over. Their opponents were within 200 meters and making their careful way through the ruins.
"What do we do?" inquired Jessica Stephens anxiously.
"We're going to draw them away from the Admiral. I want you to find cover about 50 meters towards that ridge in the distance over there. I'll stay here and get their attention. After a few minutes, I'm going to head your way and you cover me as I move. I'll find some cover about 50 meters behind you. We continue to do that till we get to the ridge" Alex said.
"Right." She lightly ran off towards the ridge. Alex pulled out his hand phaser and put it on the ground. After about a minute, he eased around the pile of debris he was hiding behind, took careful aim and shot one of the attackers right in the head. He quickly shifted and shot a second one in the chest and took cover as a barrage of laser fire hit his pile. Alex picked up his phaser and crawled to another pile, straightened up and fired wildly in the general direction of his enemies, hoping to make them think that there was more than just one person here. A withering barrage of shots saturated the area in return.
Alex crawled to a different area and carefully looked over the top. The soldiers were within about 50 meters and moving forward professionally, giving covering fire as others moved. Alex lined up one more and shot him as he stood to move, then Alex decided it was time to leave and ran off in the direction that Lt. Stephens had gone. After about 45 seconds of running, he heard "Alex!" and saw Jessica perched near the top of a pile of rocks.
Alex said loudly "Make sure you get their attention. I'm going to find a place about 50 meters on. Don't wait to move if you have to!"
Alex rushed on, anxious to find a good place to shoot from when Jessica needed to leave her position.

"I am bringing the stabalizers back online," Lise said as the backup lights on the bridge powered up. The ship was a little worse for wear. "Damage report," Weill requested as Isildur picked him up from the floor. "Main power is offline. We have several repair crews that were injured in the explosion but overall we are fine," the Tacticle officer said. The viewscreen showed the romulan warbird was a few hundred meters away. "Sir there is a hail form Commander Rhian's ship," Lise said as she sat in the FO chair. "On screen," Weill said as he sat in his own chair. The screen switched from the warbird into the face of the Romulan commander. "Thank you captain. What happened to the Breen ship?" Commander Rhian asked.

"Blew itself up, I am afraid, "Weill answered.
"I knew they are not afraid of a fight, " Lise muttered to Isildur, "but they would go that far..and what did they win by it, the forming of a possible alliance between the Federation and the Romulan."
"Captain, " the COO interrupted, "there is no debris whatsover, except for the warp core."
"You heard the man, it was just a trick and a massive weapon," Weill nodded to Rhean. "Weill out.
"They population there must wonder what all those weird outbrust of light are, "Isildur pointed out.
"There is not much we can do about it." Weill answered.
<<Calaan to Weill>>
"Go ahead ensign."
<<Could you move back to the planet? I was helping the awayteam by giving them a view of their coordinates to defend them effectivlely against their Romulan attackers. >>
Weill didnt look to happy. "We have to get them as soon as possible. They are not with many."

Alex had finally found a half decent position to take cover in. He quickly set up his phaser rifle and looked through the scope. He could see Lt. Stephens still on her hill of rock, firing at the oncoming soldiers. As he watched, he saw her efficiently pick off two of them. So much for her not being a soldier, she's a pretty good shot. Alex saw the lieutenant fire off a few more shots, look around, and then slid down the hill. She was running his way. Alex carefully looked through his scope, but couldn't see anything to shoot at so he held his fire. Suddenly, disruptor fire inundated the hill that she had just been on.
Alex's comm badge went off. "Burgess to Dixon. Report your status." Alex tapped his comm badge but kept looking through his scope in case anything came into view.
"Stephens and I are drawing a squad away from the Admirals party. I sent them to find you about 10 minutes ago" Dixon reported.
"Yes, we have already found the Admiral's party, and ambushed a group that was following them. What's your position?" Burgess asked.
Jessica was approaching Alex's position, so he signalled her. She nodded and without saying a word, continued toward the ridge in the distance to find a new position to cover Alex when the time came.
"I have no idea where we are sir, we are drawing the enemy towards a ridge that is about 200 meters away from us. Stephens and I are uninjured. I have no idea how many soldiers are coming our way, but we are heading away from you" Dixon reported.
Looking through his scope, Alex could see the occasional soldier making their way through the sparse ground cover. They were being very cautious, and Alex didn't want to waste a shot, as it would give away his position. He and Stephens must have inflicted some casualties for them to be this careful.
Alex pulled out his hand phaser and started to fiddle with the controls, occasionally looking through the scope to see what his opponents were doing. They seemed to still be creeping their way along. Alex wanted to do something unexpected to make them even more cautious. Alex finished working with the phaser, checking the settings to verify that the weapon was on overload.
Alex checked his scope again. They were very close. Alex could see a point where there were 3 or 4 close to one another. Alex found an enemy who was away from the group, aimed carefully and fired but only hit him in the shoulder. The other enemies hit the ground to find cover. Alex picked up his overloading hand phaser, entered the final command sequence and tossed it grenade style at the group, then abandoned his position and ran towards the ridge. The sky lit up due to the very large explosion behind him and Alex could hear the screaming of the injured.
Alex ran as fast as he could towards the ridge. Suddenly, a dark shape rose up from the rocks directly in front of him and something extremely hard smashed into his face. Alex flipped through the air and thudded into the ground.
As the darkness closed over him, Alex realized that the enemy could do the unexpected too.

The bridge had looked better as the ship limped back to the planet. Isildur wondered why he had not read the theory of the weapon from his temporary link to the Bree Captain. He looked at his wristwatch. Damnit he thought as he tried to get excused from the bridge.

Lt. Stephens was getting worried. She had left Dixon at the last emplacement over 5 minutes ago and there had been no sign of him. There had been a delay of only a few minutes between retreats for them. She wondered if he had been hit.
She continued to play her rifles scope over the area she thought he was hiding in. Suddenly, a flash of movement caught her eye. It was a rifle barrel. It flashed, and the bolt caught someone in the shoulder and he spun to the ground. She continued to watch for about 10 seconds, then a bright explosion caught her by surprise and caused her to flinch away from the eyepiece. When she looked again, she could see Dixon running along the path that she had used to get here. She continued to peer through the scope, determined to stop anyone who tried to shoot the young lieutenant.
As Alex ran, a shape popped up from between the rocks as she watched and clubbed him in the face with a rifle butt, and Dixon went down in a heap. As her horrified eyes looked on, the figure raised the weapon, preparing to smash it into the unprotected head of Dixon. Lt. Stephens hastily took aim at the enemy through the the scope and pulled the trigger. However, instead of merely falling, the figure exploded into a fine mist of material in front of her eyes as several phaser bolts hit it simultaneously.
Playing her scope back towards where Alex had come from, she saw the approaching figures quickly cut down by concentrated rifle fire. Quickly, there was no one to be seen.
Cautiously, Jessica made her way to where Alex's unconscious form lay. By the time she had gotten there, Dr. Johnson and Commander Burgess were already tending the injured officer. Johnson was shaking her head.
"Fractured orbital bone, probable concussion, broken nose and a few teeth gone. Lt. Dixon will be several hours before he is himself again, assuming we can get him back to the Raven" she said as she assessed Dixon.
Burgess looked up at the sky. "We aren't going anywhere till we can neutralize this dispersion field generator."

“Battle underway”
Sgt. .Lao > had his squad in position. The 4th could see the enemy retreating directly into the trap they had set for them.
Sgt. Lao >"4th Squad I want prisoners, preferably officers" "OPEN FIRE"
The 4th bombarded the enemy soldiers with everything they had. The air was filled with the sounds of phaser fire and screams of pain. They had them right where they wanted them.
The enemy soldiers were no matches for the Marines. The battle had been going on for what seemed like hours.
Sgt. Lao. > could see a small group of the enemy soldiers advancing on Cpl.Davis position. He quickly ran from his covered position to assist. Sgt., Lao knew he was taking a big chance stepping out of cover in a battle such as this. No sooner did the thought cross his mind than was knocked off his feet by enemy fire to his upper left torso. Cpl.Davis helped him to cover and called for a medic. Laevor was slightly disoriented but still battle effective.
Sgt. Lao >"Cpl.Davis contact the rest of the platoon. Advise them that the enemy have been contained. We will need some help rounding them up." Cpl. Davis >"Aye, Sgt." --

Weill: " Reports, on the transporters"
Chappell: " Sor we can get them out quickly but we may need to send down reserve troops to help and give time to transport them out"
Weill: " Understood"
Bang, the ship shook,
Weill: " What happened"
Chappell: " Lost power to all decks below 8"
Weill: " Evacnuate all areas and try and restore everything ASAP"

Weill heard the repair teams, the mission had taken an odd turn, he was trying to hurry things along and he than just sat back and wondered, if he lost the Admiral, he would lose an advisor but worse an Admiral, they are not easy to replace.
Weill: "Hail the planet...........Admiral, can you recieve me, please respond"
There was no response, he was anxious,
Weill: Lise, i thought i would never do this and i doubt i can affor to do it, but we must get the team back, Can you prepare a strong military force 50 officers and prepare to go down and arm them well,
Lise: "Yes sir, i understand"
Weill: " Even if we can just get them back up to the ship, be ready but do not go and until i order"

Alex vaguely heard the hiss of a hypospray through the grey mist. He gradually made his way up through it when he heard Burgess say "We aren't going anywhere till we can neutralize this dispersion field generator." The voice of Commander Burgess went on as he dispersed his the Marines through the area to create a safe perimeter.
Alexs' eyes popped open and the first thing he saw was Dr. Johnson pulling the hypospray away from his neck. Alex didn't feel too bad as he lay on the ground. His tongue traced along his teeth, noting several unfamiliar empty spaces. Charming, nothing said home better than missing teeth. He had expected to lose some in a bar brawl somewhere though, not on a combat mission for the Federation.
Alex struggled to his feet, assisted by Dr. Johnson, who protested quietly. "Now that we're all together, it might be possible to find the generator, sir."
Commander Burgess looked immediately interested. "How's that Lieutenant?"
"Well, as you know, dispersion fields decrease in strength in direct proportion to the distance they are from their generator. If I can have a few tricorders that have been used to scan the dispersion field, I can link them together and run a comparison of the varying field strengths throughout the field area, which could provide a general location of the generator. Assuming they aren't moving it around" Alex explained matter of factly.
Burgess and Johnson exchanged a look out of the corner of their eyes as the Science officers explanation went on and on. Then Commander Burgess shook his head and said "I'm glad that you're on our side, Mr. Dixon. Proceed."
A few inquiries later, Alex had eight tricorders sitting on the ground in front of him. He initiated a data link between them and downloaded the field strength data to one big file. Then, he quickly wrote a program that would be capable of analyzing the field strengths and set the program to work. The program ran for several minutes while Dixon, Burgess, Johnson, Stephens and the rest of the Marines waited impatiently.
Finally, the tricorders spit out an answer. "Commander, the field generator is at a bearing between 159 and 165 degrees and range of 750 to 1000 meters" Alex reported.
"Is that as accurate as possible?" Burgess inquired.
"I'm afraid so, Commander. The computing power of the tricorders is limited. If I had the Raven's main computers..." Alex trailed off.
"Well, we don't Lieutenant. All right, I'm going to get our forces moving in the right direction. Commander Johnson, keep the wounded, Dixon and Stephens with you and stay with us. You'll be safer behind the action. Understood?" The three of them nodded.
"Good, move out" Burgess ordered.

[[Edit: too bad, Dixon posted a post before which should be later in the time line then mine. LEt;s pretend it is Ill write a post which follows up his ]] Lise collected a list of crewman from the database and started to select people who she thought we're good enough for the job. Many of the security people who could be missed were selected and Lise decided also to take a long 8 people of the medical crew who were capable to handle a faser. Half an hour later she made the final corrections to her list and sent everyone a message to report to cargobay 3 in thirteen fully equiped with weapons and first aid medical suplies. While the crewmembers were entering cargobay, Lise had a brief talk with some commanders that would help her lead the away mission. AFter that, they hurried to the cargobay. "I asked you all to come her for an urgent away mission. As you may all know Admiral Clarke, some officers and a couple of people from the planet are being attacked and we have got to get them out of here. Beaming them out is not an option, since that takes time, and it would give the attackers a chance to kill the ones that are left behind. We are needed to provide them save return to the ship. The medical staff will come along to provide first aid to wounded on the planet. Any questions so far?" Lise asked. Lise actived a map on one of the panels and pinpointed the location of the various members of the away team. "You will be devided in three teames. Once we are on the surfice, the three teames spread to pick up the people that are now scattered through the area. We begin with Dixon and Lt. Stephens, they are the most vulnerable. If we have gathered everyone, we will setup a field teleporter so that everyone van be beamed straight in to this cargobay. The rest of the data will be found on your PADD which you will be handed out to you. Report then to your teamleader for further info and questions. " Lise tapped her commbadge, "Captain, we are ready to go down to the surfice." <<Acknowledged Commander, standby. Weill out.>> Lise once again tapped her commbadge, "Ensign O'Connor, if you could monitor the area constantly and keep in contact with the teamleaders, I would be very grateful. I am sending you the information about the awaymission now." <<Confirmed, " came the reply. "Will do, O'Connor out.>>

<<Weill to Lise, it seems some of the people down there have gathered and are heading to the generator. Others apparently wounded are staying behind. Communications are still down, but there are still Romulans scattered around. >>
"What are my orders, sir?"
<Beam down, send the best men you've got along with the Burgess and beam the wounded back. Establish contact with Burgess and set up a rendez-vous point from which you can all beam fast and safely back to the surfice.>>
"Aye sir."
OFF: I hope this will make the story more logical and better to follow.

Alex lay on the ground as he waited for an all clear from Pvt. Gelyea. He, Dr. Johnson and Lt. Stephens were trying to keep up with the Marines as they tried to destroy the dispersion field generator. They were with the wounded and falling behind, but that was okay. As long as they were close to the troops, things would be alright.
Alex wasn't feeling too well right now. His face was aching from the rifle butt to the head he had taken, and his vision was occasionally blurry, but he maintained his watch over his section.
Alex was waiating with a group of three Marines. They were all injured, but conscious. Two of them carried the third on a makeshift stretcher. He had taken disruptor fire to his legs and the burns were very bad. He was heavily sedated.
Off to his right, Alex could barely see Lt. Stephens concealed by a few shrubs. She was with Dr. Johnson's group. The most serious injuries were there as well. Alex spent some time thinking about Lt. Stephens. Seemed odd that a diplomat was so good with a phaser rifle. Alex shrugged. If she hadn't been, he would probably be dead by now.
The flashes of battle caught Alex's attention. Romulan disruptors and Federation phasers fought for dominance about a kilometer away. Then there was a large explosion which lit the sky that was already brighter due to the onset of dawn.
Alex's comm badge went off. Surprised, Alex tapped it. "Dixon here, go ahead."
"Lieutenant Dixon" answered Captain Weill "It's good to hear your voice. The dispersion field is finally down. Report your status."
"I'm guarding some wounded Marines with Lt. Stephens and Dr. Johnson. The Admiral and Commander Burgess are leading the assault on the enemy force. Someone obviously just destroyed the dispersion generator" Alex informed Weill.
"Alright. We're going to start beaming people up. I'll get in touch with the Admiral. Weill out."
Alex breathed a sigh of relief. He would be back aboard the Raven soon.

“Raven Onboard Asst’JAG Officer “
1Lt. Harper sat at her desk, reviewing the legal files from the Judge Advocate General office concerning this mission. Nothing to exciting, but she hoped maybe that would change. She had Spent a little time with them before they where Deployed down to the Planet six hours earlier after reporting in to Captain Gordian. He seemed in the right state of mind. She liked him already. But other that that, the base was dead, most of the marines were still on there mission.
She was suddenly struck with an idea. She was a Marine, another person; perhaps she could join the others who were fighting the Cardassian /Breem. It had been a while since she had been in a good fight, since she felt the familiar presence of fear threating to break lose but doesn’t. She liked that feeling, it made her feel alive. She would run it by Her CO, see what she thought about it.
=Gordians Office =
"Yes, ma'am," she was saying. "Not a lot for me to do at the present."
"Very well then, Lt. you have my permission to proceed. But be careful. I want you to report in to Admiral Clark when you arrive."
"Aye, ma'am."
And like that it was over. She walked briskly to her quarters to change into her marine uniform. She would finally be a marine again, just not a lawyer.

The Raven was sitting in space, he couldnt get the team to respond, there had been a block and it couldnt be liftted but the good thing was that the field was not right down to the planets suface, so if they could get soemthing past the probe something could be done.
Weill: " Mr Chappell, can you get a probe and fire it into the atmostphere below the interference so they can contact us"
Chappell: " Yes sir, just doing that now, i will hav to configure it to go through the beams, no not solid like energy shields it might distort the probes entry and bur up and cause a problem"
The idea was if they couod get the probe in, the teams would notice that comm badges were woring and they could finally coordinate the ship and the planet work, and Will really wasnt sure weather he should send yet another team, some may see, it as going to far, but they needed support.
Weill: " Is the probe ready?"
Chappell: " Now it is sir,............. yes its ready sir"
Weill: "Fire probe, and make sure we dont lose another on the planet, now send a brief message to Clark saying he can now contact us and what he needs, suport etc."
Chappell: "Aye sir, just done"

Isildur did not like sickbay. He was there helping soothe the wounded a job he was not good at. The EMH was trying to stabalize an enginnering officer with plasma burns. This was the part of the job Isildur hated.

“Outside secondary Landing Zone “ Lt., cmdr Burgess watched 1st Lt. Harper move away from his position escorting her prisoner, with interest. The interrogations of the Prisoners was going to be more difficult with the JAG officer present but Burgess primary concern was teasing out the information not a conflict of limitations and techniques. Including the prisoner with 1st Lt. Harper, there were around 7 prisoners out of an estimated force of 50 -70 ground troops. The SFMC had 12 dead and 5 injured. The enemy so far had 15 dead and the injured figure was unknown other than amongst the prisoners. It had not been a particularly successful ground action from Lt,Cmdr Burgess point of view but from a political stand point the SFMC had scored a big positive as far as a victory over the Cardassian /Breem Forces was concerned. Lt., Cmdr Burgess watched as the SFMC engineers moved forward scanning the base ahead and performing a combined land mine and security clearance of the area around the base. It was then that they detected the presence of an active incendiary device in the heart of the base. The Sergeant of the engineers approached Burgess and handed him the PADD. : Salutes: "Sir, here is the scanned survey of the base, you can see they have a central computer core, the chances are that has been sabotaged but there maybe data retrievable from it. For some reason they could not take this component with them when they left." Burgess half smiled to the Sergeant, " Seems we were not the only ones caught by surprise after all?
Very well we need to get my unit in there and avoid getting their asses blown to pieces at the same time!" Lt., Cmdr Burgess> taps’ " Lt., Cmdr Burgess to the squad leaders, I am downloading the engineering survey of the base area. We need you to co-ordinate and recover the computer core. There is a bomb in there too, so that will need to be de-fused first. This is an in and out rapid recovery operation. Report in your status to me and you have your orders!" Nothing the Old man hates more then a Half done report so I better have all of my I’s doted and my Tee’s cross before I turn it in To Admiral Clark End log

Lt. Dixon was sitting with Pvt. Cetla, a Marine who Dixon was surprised to learn came from the planet Raisa. Cetla had been hit in the legs with Romulan disruptor fire and was burned quite badly. Dr. Johnson had been by a number of times to check on him. She had always been upbeat and encouraging, but Alex thought that she was secretly worried that the private was going to lose one or both of his legs unless they got him to the Raven soon. She had been giving him some very strong pain killers. Alex had gotten some too, for the gun butt that he had taken to the head. Alex was dizzy and his face was sore, but otherwise he was fine.
"I thought everyone from Raisa stayed there to take care of the tourists" Alex said, trying to keep the privates mind off of his wounds.
"Most do, but I wasn't really cut out for taking care of other people that way. It's nice to go back every once in a while though" the private said with a gleam in his eye. Alex blinked. He had heard stories while he was in the Academy of what vacations there were like on Raisa. He mentally reinforced his resolve to go there one day.
Dr. Johnson walked by her small hospital and offerred a sunny smile to Cetla and Alex. "So private. How are you feeling now?" she asked while running a tricorder over the privates legs.
"Fine doc. If I wasn't chatting with the the lieutenant here, I'd go for a jog" Cetla replied smartly, causing Dixon and Johnson to laugh.
"Perhaps in a few hours, private. Lt. Dixon, may I speak with you for a minute?" Johnson asked.
"Yes, sir." Alex looked over at Cetla. "Just keep it to a walk till I get back." Cetla smiled. Dixon and Johnson walked out of earshot of the wounded.
"Alex, when do you think that the Raven will beam us up?" the doctor inquired, somewhat anxiously, Alex thought.
"I don't know doctor. I thought that once the dispersion field was down, they would just be able to beam us up. It has been down for a while now. Perhaps there is something else blocking transport, or the Ravens' transporters are damaged" Alex answered.
"Perhaps. I need to get some of the wounded back to the Raven as soon as possible. They are stable for now, but then won't be for long. That reminds me...". The doctor pulled her tricorder back out and scanned Alex. "I'm afraid that you definitely have a concussion, but it's not too bad. You will have to spend some time in sickbay yourself." Alex shrugged. He already knew that.
"Lieutenant, I would like you to try to contact the Raven and find out what is going on. Failing that, track down Admiral Clark and see when we might be able to get off planet" she ordered.
Alex said "Yes sir" and then sighed as she walked away. He was going to have his work cut out for him. Alex started tapping his comm badge to contact the Raven as he went to find out what kind of equipment he had access to.
"Dixon to Raven, come in please..."
