E'Liana made her way to the counsellor's office wondering what this could be about. She had a faint suspicion that it was a proper counselling session and shuddered at the thought. However, E'Liana resolved to give it a go.
She arrived at the office to see a suspiciously cheerful Arya and smiled at her slightly.
"Hello Ensign" she said, trying to be as equally cheerful.
"Hello, commander, and welcome. Please, make yourself at home." She said motioning to the spot right next to her.
This merely confirmed E'Liana's suspicions but thought better than to question it for now. She would humour the young counsellor, and so took a seat next to Arya.
The counsellor began. "So, how long have you been here? What is it like working with this crew?"
E'Liana took a deep breath. "I haven't been here that long, only a mission before you joined and before that I was at the Academy...and the crew seem very nice - for the most part." She finished, having realised what the counsellor could be questioning her about.

She had heard the response, and wondered where to go from there. She didn't think it a good place to start her questioning, and decided on something else.
"Ah, a new one like myself, good to know." She said and wrote something down, trying to make it feel like a session. She had no idea how to do more than that right now, and continued to smile sweetly.
"So, tell me a bit about yourself." She said, hoping to make a new friend. She remembered her questions, but since she remembered who they were for, she ignored the padd.
(BeTor)
"I see, but that can't be all bad, can it?" She said no longer smiling. "Oh, wait I see what you meant." She said and shaking her head she chuckled before she hung her head. She looked up again. She noticed that look on the commander's face earlier, and she wondered what that was about.
"Is there anything you wanted to talk about, something that might be bothering you?" She said trying to sound as if she knew what was going on, but she felt like she was a failure for not knowing. She hid her feelings, and took a sip from her now cold drink making a face before swallowing. She put the cup down, and pushed it away from her directing her attention back to the commander.

E’Liana sat in the office, still feeling somewhat uncomfortable but trying to ignore it.
"Ah, a new one like myself, good to know." The young counsellor said, writing something which E’Liana couldn’t read.
"So” Arya said, looking up. “tell me a bit about yourself."
“Well…I lived on Qo’Nos with my parents and my half brother and half sister - he’s Klingon and she’s human.” E’Liana stopped and Arya nodded, urging her to continue. “My mum’s a Doctor, I guess that’s how I became one too, only you don’t get too many Klingons studying medicine, what with the whole “honour of dying on the battlefield” and all, so I had some trouble back home when I said I‘d be doing medicine. Not my close family, but neighbours and other relatives. To be fair, they weren‘t exactly happy that my dad had married again, let alone to have a human wife and then a child too!…” E’Liana stopped talking again and looked surprised. She instantly clamped her mouth shut.
"I see, but that can't be all bad, can it?" Arya said, no longer smiling. "Oh, wait I see what you meant." She said. She seemed to notice the look on the commander's face earlier, and she wondered what that was about.
"Is there anything you wanted to talk about, something that might be bothering you?” She put the cup down, and pushed it away from her directing her attention back to the commander.
“Bothering me? What do you mean?” She wondered. ~Surely the nonsense in my department isn’t ship’s gossip already?~ she thought to herself.

She listened while the other woman talked, taking mental notes to put down later. She didn't want to write any of this down, because she didn't want it to look like she was going to put everything in her report. It wasn't necessary right now, but she had some notes she would need to write down when the woman left, personal notes.
"I thought that we would just talk, me get to know you a bit. I don't know if you are having trouble with something in your life, or not. Only you know that right now, and if there is something, then maybe talking about it might help. I have no idea what is going on around here. At home I had heard several rumors. I hear rumors, how true they are I don't know, and I prefer to turn a deaf ear to them. If it isn't fact coming from you, then it is probably false." She said, not sure what E'Lianna meant, and wondered what was being said about the doctor. She thought about investigating, but decided against it. She didn't think it right to listen to gossip when growing up, and she certainly didn't it was right now. She had learned from her mother that gossip was nothing but jealous lips being loosed.
"Is there something you can think of that you might want to confide in me with?" She said hoping to gain the doc's trust. She didn't think it would work, but she felt she should at least try.

"Here are the inspection results Admiral." McLean said handing the PADD over to the Mc7 of 9. The Admiral took the PADD from McLean's hand and looked over the information quickly. Placing the PADD down on his desk he leaned back in his chair and folded his hands together. "What is your opinion of the status of the ship?" Mc7 of 9 asked. McLean was caught off guard for a second but quickly recovered, "It is my personal opinion that this ship is running as close to perfect as a star ship can run." McLean said. "Good," Mc7 of 9 said getting to his feet, "Then I will trust your judgment." "Aye sir." McLean replied. The Admiral motioned to the door, McLean nodded and stepped in front of Mc7 and walked onto the bridge quickly followed by the Admiral. "I want you to head down to engineering, we are going to get underway now." "Aye sir." McLean replied and walked back to the back of the bridge to catch the turbo lift down to engineering. As McLean walked he could hear the Admiral giving the order to get underway. Stepping inside the turbo lift McLean took one last look at the bridge and noticed it seemed to have changed from the last time he had to talk to the last Captain of the Raven. McLean noted it was strange how the ship seemed to change shape, and feel with each commanding officer. "Engineering." McLean ordered. <Tag ALL>The CO has asked me to get this mission underway while he fixes his browser problems with his computer. So lets head out toward our destination.

OOC: I was about to go to bed, but remembered my commitment ^^ so here it comes
IC:
After Zoarial handed in his results, or more like it, leaving them next to the captains chair, he went back to his post, mildly stroking the console. It looked as though the console knew that they were about to leave, as it's lighting quickly went from dim to bright. As if it had also notified the captain, Mc7 and Scott both walked out of the ready room. Scott headed straight to turbolift, without even nodding at a now even more surprised CNO.
The captain scraped his throat, notifying the atendees that they had to pay close attention.
<Mc7>
"Aye sir!" Zoarial responded, and started the procedure of leaving the dock. Luckily there were exact coordinates of where they had to go, unlike many other missions, and after a couple of thousand kilometers, Zoarial went from impulse to warp. He didn't have to worry about a reduced speed for maximum efficiency of the scanners, but still he didn't exceed the speed of warp 8, giving the warp engines some time to warm up.
After about 5 minutes Zoarial cranked the speed up a bit and switched over to automatic pilot.
"The Raven is under way and will reach its destination in 5 days sir." Zoarial reported, knowing that the ETA indicator wasn't that reliable.

"Is there something you can think of that you might want to confide in me with?"
E’Liana eyed the young counsellor suspiciously, instantly clamming up. “There’s nothing that I can think of, why?”
<TAG Arya>
E’Liana shifted uncomfortably in her seat, feeling like it was an interrogation and yet knowing that it was all in her head again. She tried to smile at Arya but had a feeling that it looked forced.
“I hope you don’t take it personally, but I’m not too comfortable with counsellor’s. I don’t really know why, it’s just a thing about me I guess. I’d be more than happy to help you in regards with other patient’s, but as for myself, I’m afraid it’ll be a little harder. You know what they say… ‘Doctor’s make the worst patients’”.
<TAG Arya>
~*~*~
In Sickbay, Nurse Joy was finishing up her report on the Admiral’s physical and followed the hurried notes from E’Liana as to how to add them to the ship’s database. ~ I only hope I get this right…~ she mused, wondering when the CMO would be back. She didn’t like doing these things on her own when they could go wrong so easily.
Looking at the time, she noticed that it was almost time for the end of her shift, and yet the cover nurse had not yet arrived. Another new recruit, Joy had hoped that he was somewhat more reliable but had a sneaking suspicion that he wouldn’t be. However, as though to prove her wrong, a young Bajoran man came in with a medical uniform.
“Hello…I’m Jaren Paal, a new nurse? I was told to come here.”
Joy momentarily wondered why he hadn’t come earlier that day, but he seemed to have a reason for everything. Either that, or he was telepathic.
“I’m late because, well, I got lost. It’s stupid, but I’m afraid it’s true. Is the Doctor here? I was told to come and talk to her.”
Joy shook her head. “I’m afraid she’s meeting our new counsellor. She should be back here soon. My shift is meant to finish now, but I’ll wait with you for her to come back if you like?”
The young man looked grateful and smiled at her. “I’d really appreciate that…”
“Why don’t we go into the office and update your file?” Said Joy, motioning towards the office. “We can do that now so that you can just discuss your duties with the Doctor. I understand you’ll be having the night shift?”
Paal moved towards the door, and shyly went in. “Ordinarily, yes, but I need a little more Orientation before I can do that alone you see…”

She noticed the doctor seemed not only very uncomfortable, but nervous as well. She wondered what could be wrong, and hoped it was nothing she had said or done.
"Relax, E'Lianna, may I call you E'Lianna?" She asked.
(E'Lianna)
"Ok then, well I am just trying to be your friend. I want to help you, but if you won't let me, I understand. It is totally up to you." She said not sure how to help the doctor. She listened to her statement and chuckled.
"I bet that happens a lot with you. I am not really a doctor, so I don't know that problem. My door is always open if you want to talk. If there is nothing else then?" She said not sure what else to do. She wasn't sure how to get someone talking if they didn't want to do so naturally.
(E'Lianna)
"Have a good day then, and if there is anything I can do for you, don't hesitate to ask. Just don't think you can get me to pee into anything huge." She said trying to get rid of the serious air. She couldn't believe she said that with a straight face, and gave Lianna one of her hundred watt smiles.
A little while later, she felt she had failed on her first try as a counsellor. She wasn't sure if she would be any better on the next one. She decided it was time to try and get someone from command down for a session. She just hoped she didn't get the brush off when she tried.
=^=Arya to Commander Smith. Would you please report to my office?=^=
She felt completely nervous about his response, and sat down to work on updating her report for the captain.

Steve was just on his way to bridge when his commbadge chirrped.
'What now?' He thought to himself, as he turned around and tapped his commbadge.
=/\= Smith here, I'm on my way! Out. =/\=
He set off towards his destination, wondering what he was needed for. What he needed right now was a chair, because for some strange reason, his legs were feeling a little weak.
Upon reaching Arya's office, he pressed the chime, and waited...patiently.

She didn't expect a response so promptly, or one that wouldn't give her the brush off. ~It seems that I have been informed wrong on how command acts. I will have to remember this for next time too.~ She thought, and hoped it was this easy every time. She wondered if the captain would be so easy.
It wasn't long before she heard the door chime, and she thought that was fast. "Enter." She said not sure if someone else needed her, of if Commander Smith had come already. Sure enough the commander walked right in.
"Welcome, commander, if you will take a seat. I will try not to take up too much of your time. I know you are a busy man and I appreciate you taking the time out for this." She said deciding to go more professional with this time. She figured that might have been what she had done wrong with E'Lianna.
(Smith)
She gathered her nerves, and tried to smile to look like she was okay with doing this. She knew he was one of her commanding officers, and wondered how well this was going to go.
"How do you describe your relationship with your crew?" She said trying to get down to business. She hoped she looked like a professional, and wasn't sure how well this was going to turn out.

"Enter"
With that, Arya's doors opened and Steve stepped through, looking around to see where Arya was, and wondering what he was really doing here.
"Welcome, commander, if you will take a seat. I will try not to take up too much of your time. I know you are a busy man and I appreciate you taking the time out for this."
Steve looked to his left, to where the voice was coming from, and saw Arya standing there. He stopped walking, and nodded.
"No problem." He replied, "Gives me something to do to pass the spare time." He added, hoping that it didnt sound rude. Then he suddenly remembered to offer to take a seat, so he went and sat down.
"How do you describe your relationship with your crew?"
Steve thought this one over for a few moments. "Well, I havent really met a lot of the crew since I have been aboard." He said at first. "But of the few that I have personally worked with, everything has been on a very professional basis." He shrugged. "Havent even had time for friends."

She didn't like the sound of that. It sounded like he was a work aholic, and she wondered what he did for fun, or if he even had fun.
"Do you have any fun?" She said hoping his would be a positive answer.
(Smith)
"I see." Was all she said, trying to gather her thoughts. She wasn't sure what else to ask him. She wondered a few other things, and wondered if she should dare asking him.
"What is your family status?" She asked hoping that would get her the answer she was looking for without having to physically ask it.

Steve actually felt a little awkward at the moment. No-one has really asked him about things like this before. And his last answer made him sound liek quite a boring individual who was only interested in work.
"Do you have any fun?"
Steve wasnt really surprised at this question, given what he had answered earlier. But now it was asked, he hoped to try and redeem himself.
"I used to, yes. Before my father passed away. Now, I just cant seem to want to do anything else, other than my duty and be alone. I took time out from Starfleet to grieve, and when I felt ready to return to duty, I did so. I guess its just gonna take a little while for the old me to come back." He replied, trying not to think of the past year too much.
"I see."
"What is your family status?"
Steve was a bit thrown by this. So much so that he didnt actually know how to reply.
"My family status? In what context?" He asked. His old memories were now at the forefront of his mind, and he was doing his best to surpress them....at least for now.

She had hoped he would answer it, but found he asked a question instead. It was a good question, too. She was hoping not to have to answer it, but saw that he wasn't going to answer hers until she answered that one. She was a bit nervous still. She wished she had gotten a drink before he came in, remembering the other one was really old.
"In any context, do you have any siblings? Where are your parents, and how is your relationship with them? Have you started a family of your own, and if not then why not?" She said hoping the work aholic in him didn't come out as a reason if he didn't start his own family, or if he wasn't close to his parents or siblings.
I hope he doesn't mind talking about this. I should have asked these questions the first time around. It makes it seem better than just having a chat session. I have definately learned something now. Was that suppose to happen? She thought, and returned her attention to him, knowing that is where it was suppose to be.

It may have been nothing, but Steven thought that Arya looked just a little bit nervous. 'She's not the only one' he thought. The best way to sort out these nerves is to carry on with the talk, and let nature take its course!
"In any context, do you have any siblings? Where are your parents, and how is your relationship with them? Have you started a family of your own, and if not then why not?"
"No, I dont have any siblings, I was an only child. That had its good points and bad points. Godd points being I was a little spoilt, although on the down side, as a child I didnt have many friends!" He replied, recalled his childhood, and let out a sigh.
"My mother is at home, on Earth running the restaurant that she owns. She used to run it with my father, but that all changed last year when he died of a heart attack. I spent the majority of last year away from Starfleet to spend time at home with my mother, to grieve and to help her." Steve struggled to keep his emotions in check, and was adamant to carry on.
"Have I started a family of my own?......Well, before my father passed away, I was engaged to one of my officers on the USS El Salvador. Remeti Lucas was her name....a really nice lady. Unfortunatly, when I returned to Earth to be with my mother, I shunned all contact with anyone including her, which I realise was a bad thing, but at the time I didnt want to speak to people. When I re-joined Starfleet, I found out that she has resigned, and I have no way of finding her."
This was the first time that Steve had opened up about this, and surprisingly he felt ok about it. It was better out in the open rather than welled up inside of him.

She felt bad for having had him answer the question now. She hoped he wouldn't hold it against her.
"I am sorry for your loss. It is never easy losing a loved..." She said and couldn't get past that part. It hurt too much to think of what she had just lost recently. She took a moment to gather her wits.
"Sorry about that." She said, and noted the change in his countance. He seemed like he was enjoying this session. What have I done? I opened the wrong can of worms. I hope this has helped him. She thought hoping she wasn't a failure as a counsellor. She had her doubts about being a good counsellor.
Maybe mother was right, maybe I will be nothing for the rest of my life. I seem no good at anything. She thought, not sure where those thoughts came from. She didn't like to admit her mom was right at all, and her stomach started to churn.
She decided it was time for the next question. "What kind of hobbies do you have?"

"I am sorry for your loss. It is never easy losing a loved..."
As soon as Arya paused and didnt continue, Steve instantly knew that this subject hit a nerve with the both of them. In time, he was sure they would both talk about this conversation further.
"Sorry about that."
Steve held his hand up. "Thats ok, there is no need to apologise at all." He replied, with a slight smile. This little meeting wasnt going as bad as what he thought. 'If only they were all like this.' He thought to himself.
"What kind of hobbies do you have?"
This question made Steve think a little bit. 'Hobbies?' He thought....."Well, I like to play sports, ya know, to keep myself fit and active. I also like to read. And when I have the time, I do enjoy a nice session in the holodeck, metting new people and having fun....but that hasnt happened for a while." He replied, looking a bit sad at that last part.

Arya hadn't expected that type of response from him about his family. It took her off guard talking about the subject, and was glad he took to the change of subject. She realized she wasn't ready to talk about her loss yet, and could see that he might not be ready yet either.
She smiled at the mention of the holodeck, and wondered something. "Well why don't you get something started, or maybe give someone permission to start something. I don't know the crew that well, I would gladly get something going in the holodeck. Unless you think that wouldn't be a good idea. I do remember something about the crew needing to relax." She suggested, not sure if she should have done so.
(Smith)
"Well, I have one more question. Is there anything else you wanted to talk about, or tell me?" She said hoping that if there was something she forgot he would mention it.

Steve seemed to like that idea. "Yeah, I like that. The crew hasnt really had that much of an opportunity to relax lately. I am sure something could be created to suit everyone. Of course, I would appreciate your input too." He replied, hoping Arya would like to help out.
"Well, I have one more question. Is there anything else you wanted to talk about, or tell me?"
Steve thought for a few seconds. "Not that I can think of right now." He replied, not really sure of what to say. Then all of a sudden he blurted out: "Would you like to have dinner with me, later? We can discuss ideas for the program....and talk?" He smiled, hiding the fact that he probably shouldnt have asked.

She smiled trying not to show how nervous she was. "I would love to help out in any way possible. Having a tense crew can't be good on any front. It would have to be something in the evening I would think, so as not to interfer with anyone's duty." She said, and then asked her last question.
She couldn't believe he was asking her to dinner. Should I say yes? Is this as innocent as this sounds? She thought, and was extrememly nervous now.
"Yes, dinner sounds nice. What time are we talking about?" She said trying to hide her own nervousness. She wasn't completely sure what he meant about the talking part, but figured it was all in the name of friendship. She felt like she could use another friend, not that she had a lot of them.
(Smith)
"Alright, I will see you then. Thank you for taking time out to come to this session. Have a good day." She said not sure how to end it.
(Smith)
After he left, she found she felt a bit better. The nervous feeling was gone, and she wondered what had exactly caused that. She thought it was just because he was one of her commanding officers. She sat down and logged the information she needed into her report for the captain. She also updated his record adding her tidbits.
She looked to see who was next. She figured the Cheif Engineer would be pretty busy, and thought it best to get his done next.
=^= Arya to Lt. McLean. Please report to my office. =^=
She then closed her link, hoping he would be with her shortly. She got up and moved to the replicator getting a new drink. She sat down to review what the last counsellor had said about the chief.

Steve didnt know who felt more nervous....Arya or him. He was happy that she was willing to help out with the holodeck program though. Two pairs of hands is always better than one.
Yes, dinner sounds nice. What time are we talking about?"
"Lets say, 8 o'clock? I'll pick you up from here." He replied, hoping that would be ok. It would also give him a chance to socialise outside of work.
"Alright, I will see you then. Thank you for taking time out to come to this session. Have a good day."
Steve stood up from his chair, and nodded. "No worries." He replied. "And thank you for listening to me. You have a good day too." With that, he turned and left the office and walked down the corridor to the turbolift.
"Bridge." He commanded, and the lift started to move. Within a few moments, the lift stopped and he had arrived at his destination. Steve stepped out onto the bridge and had a quick look around at the activity.
"Report." He called out, to whoever was willing to answer him.

McLean had been down in Main Engineering when the Raven began to make her way. Keeping a close eye on the Warp Core, McLean took mental notes of information coming in from the internal sensors on the ship. McLean couldn't help the smile that was cracking across his face, there was always something special about getting underway. The atmosphere of the entire ship felt different, felt more alive.
=^= Arya to Lt. McLean. Please report to my office. =^=
Interruptions were always the thing that McLean always seemed to get when he was knee deep in a project. He had a few choice words he wished to use to reply, but he felt it was better to keep them to himself.
"I will be there as soon as I can Ensign." McLean replied.
Walking back to the Core, McLean spotted his new assistant chief engineer. Motioning over to the man he began to show him the specs he wished to have the core running by the time he got back form the counselors office.
"You got all that Andrews?" McLean asked.
"Yes sir." Andrews replied.
"Good." McLean said patting Ensign Andrews on the back before leaving Main Engineering.
The walk was quick to the counselors office. McLean pushed the door chime and was quickly instructed to enter. Walking through the doors McLean wanted nothing more than to get back down to his engine room, but he wasn't going to be rude and just walk out.
"What can I do for you Ensign?" McLean asked from the doorway.

After a rather relaxed flight, long range sensors indicated that they were close to the former colony. To Zoaria'ls surprise, the ETA had been spot on, something that didn't happen before. On the other hand it was quite reasonable; there had been no hostile encounters at all, as they weren't flying through hostile territory yet.
To inform the captain, Zoarial tapped his commbagde, which chirped in acknoledgement, but at the same time the first officer stepped out of the turbolift.
"Report." he said, an order to which Zoarial could be brief.
"We'll arrive at our destination in no more than 3 hours commander." he responded, curious about what they were going to do. Would they remain out of sight or make sure that their presence was noted?

"We'll arrive at our destination in no more than 3 hours commander."
Steve turned towards the reply, and saw that it was Zoarial who has spoke to him. He moved towards the Commander. "Excellent, it seemed as if it took almost no time at all!" He replied, allowing a quick glance at the viewscreen. "Has the Captain been informed yet?" He asked.
It seemed to be a relatively routine mission.....but in all the missions that he had been on, they were all FAR from routine.

OOC: just a small reminder that Zoarial not liking the captain to be inactive is an IC opinion, trying to handle the OOC inconvenience that Mc7 is having. Just want to make sure that you know that it is only meant IC, and is not at all a personal attack It's what I call simming !
IC: "Well he hasn't replied to my previous notification yet, so I guess that he is busy at the moment commander. I thought that it would be sufficient to let you know that we were going to arrive soon." Zoarial remarked, carefully dropping a hint that he would have liked the captain to show more of himself than staying in his quarters all the time.
"And as for the trip seeming to take short, I have counted all the days personally. To me it didn't look like a short time" Zoarial continued and smiled at Steven.
"Just let me know in time whether you want to bring the Raven down to the surface, let her go in orbit, or do something completely different." Zoarial concluded, not trying to sound purely professional.
