"Ok. Thank you. I will inform the Captain soon." Steve replied, wondering when it was best to alert the Captain. He stood by the centre chair, and looked at it for a few seconds before sitting down.
Upon Zoarial's remark about the time, Steve couldnt help but to smile. "Perhaps it was because you counted all the days that it didnt seem a short time?" He said, still smiling.
It took a few seconds to register Zoarial's last sentence. "Once I have informed the Captain of our status, I will let you know of our next course of action." Steve added, while starting to relax in his chair.

"I will be there as soon as I can Ensign." McLean replied.
She heard the reply and it sounded like he was busy. She didn't like to interrupt, but she knew this was important. She wouldn't have called him otherwise.
She started to set up for the next session, and found the chime was rung. She called for the person to enter as she sat down on her couch with a mug of hot cider.
"What can I do for you Ensign?" McLean asked from the doorway.
She noticed he hadn't come in far, and she wondered how short he would make this. She smiled, trying to make a good impression for their first session.
"I promise I don't bite." She said trying to get him to come in farther. "Okay, well I was hoping we could sit and talk for a little bit."
(McLean)
I understand he has an important job to do, but then again so do I. She thought, and realized she might have to get tough with him.
"Look, I know you have your job to do, but you have a lot of people under you who you can delegate to. I am here alone. I have to get this report in, and I need to chat with you a bit to do so. This won't take long." She said angry with what was going on, and she was so angry that she forgot he outranked her.

"I promise I don't bite." She said trying to get him to come in farther. "Okay, well I was hoping we could sit and talk for a little bit."
"Ensign, I really don't have time to chat right now. I have several reports to write for the Admiral and..." McLean said but was quickly cut off by the counselor.
"Look, I know you have your job to do, but you have a lot of people under you who you can delegate to. I am here alone. I have to get this report in, and I need to chat with you a bit to do so. This won't take long." She said angry with what was going on, and she was so angry that she forgot he outranked her.
McLean exhaled loudly, clearing showing his disliking for the situation. The councilor held a unique position, must like a doctor and they could deem an officer unfit for duty just as quickly as the CMO.
After a deep breath McLean slowly walked forward and sat down in the closest seat in the room. Before saying anything else he casually placed the several PADDs he was holding on the table that sat directly in front of him.
"So," McLean said finally looking up, "What do you want to know?"

OOC: This is just me being bored, anyone who fancies getting injured somehow and then giving the new guy in sickbay something to do, feel free! IC: E’Liana made her way back to her office and found Joy in there with a young Bajoran man. “Hello…” She said, walking in on a discussion. “Sorry if I’m interrupting, but I thought I should try and get back.” Nurse Packer got out of the CMOs chair immediately and smiled at the two young people. “Doctor, this is Nurse Jaren Paal, and this” she said, indicating E’Liana “is our Doctor, E’Liana BeTor” E’Liana held out her hand and smiled. The Bajoran man took it and smiled in return. “Nice to meet you. I understand that you had another Nurse before I came aboard, but he left?” The Doctor grinned. “Mr Esteban? Yes, I met him briefly, but he was reassigned before we began this mission…hence our need for you. What training do you have?” She sat down in the chair and indicated that he do the same. Joy spoke first, however, “If you don’t mind, I’m going to head home” she said, suppressing a yawn. E’Liana smiled at her briefly “Yes, of course, and thank you for waiting”, a statement echoed by Paal. “Anyway” he said “My training consists of three years at the Medical Institute on Bajor, although part time as I had to look after my little sister, since my parents…died…” Paal suddenly became very quiet and withdrawn, and E’Liana managed to stop herself in time from asking why they had died. Deciding to change the subject slightly, E’Liana told him of her mother. “My mother was on Bajor for a while and, I believe, she is there now, attempting to help with the relief work. I was with her the first time, as it was about ten years ago. I saw the Institute myself and it all looked very interesting….” He nodded in reply and asked her of her mother and other family members. A while later they went through Paal’s duties as the night supervisor, discovering that he was rather apprehensive over the entire ordeal, as he had never had such a job before. “It’s part of being an enlisted crewman, I guess…” he said meditatively. “But that’s what I’m here for. I want new experiences and all that. When will my first shift be?” He asked. “It will be tonight, and so if you understand everything enough then I suggest you go and get some sleep beforehand.” Paal nodded and shook her hand once more. “I want to thank you for your help today, and I’ll try not to mess this up!” He said, winking as he headed out of the room. E’Liana grinned and shook her head slightly “I’ll see you tonight. Don’t be late, I want to go to bed!” Laughing to herself, she activated the EMH. “Please state the nature of the medical emergency…oh, it’s you.” He arched an eyebrow at E’Liana wryly. “Yes, it’s me” she replied, also wryly. “Look, I just wanted to tell you that there’s a new guy onboard as the night time medical assistant, so you may be called upon tonight. I guess I’m warning you…please, be nice to him.” Before he had a chance to reply, however, she deactivated his program. ~How stupid~ she thought to herself ~I’m trying to reason with a hologram…~ With that done, she made her way into the office to check on the reports that Joy had submitted to the database, wondering if her wishes for a more exciting day could be seen as morbid…

"Well tell me a bit about yourself. I am new to the crew, so I don't really know you." She said hoping this would ferret out any information she might need, and remembered to already put down that he was a work-aholic. She thought about writing it down now, but found it wasn't necessary.

"You make it sound like this is a bad thing." She said teasing him a bit to ease the tension. She didn't know if it worked, or if he just liked sitting that rugged like.
"Not a bad thing, just something I need to get through." McLean said with out thinking. He saw that Eowyn's eye brow perked up at his comment and he quickly tried to recover, "I mean...it's just I have a lot of work to get to. Making sure the ship runs in tip top shape is a huge responsibility."
McLean could tell she was making mental notes about the conversation. This must be how the Warp Core feels when I am analyzing her, McLean thought to himself.
"Well tell me a bit about yourself. I am new to the crew, so I don't really know you." Eowyn said.
"Uh...where to start. I'm married with two kids. My wife Stephanie hates life on starships, so she stays normally on the Station with the kids. Sometimes she takes them back to Earth to visit family."
"So then you like to.... What exactly?" She said finding he didn't really list his interests or hobbies. She hoped she wouldn't have to dig for the answers she wanted.
"You mean like in my free time?" McLean asked.
"Yes, what do you like to do in your spare time?" Eowyn asked.
McLean had to take a second to think about his answer. The truth was that he never really had any spare time. If he wasn't working he was looking over department reports, as well as reports from other various stations on board the ship.
"I...like to read." McLean finally said.

Mc7 sat behind the desk in his quarters reviewing the files that Starfleet had provided them about the colony. As he was reading over the files, his mind kept wondering to different areas of the ship. The first place he thought of was sickbay. From the briefing he gathered that E'Liana wasn't too keen on him, but during his physical and the conversations that ensued, both with Nurse Packer and E'Liana, he began to think he was making some progress towards thawing a relationship that looked as if it waas going to start on the wrong foot.
His mind quickly jumped from sickbay down to engineering. Scott had been very friendly the few times that the admiral had met him so far, and that was something that mc7 was very gratefull for.
Suddenly he remembered that Arya had sent him a message during the breifing asking to talk to him, and he hadn't spoken to her yet. From the tone of the message he got the impression that it wasn't a professional matter she wanted to talk to him about, but rather something of a personal nature. As soon as he remembered about it, the CO asked the computer where Arya was, and was informed she was in a meeting with Lt McLean. After asking the computer to inform him when that meeting was over, he went back to trying to read the reports he had been staring at for hours now, and not made much headway with.
Just as he was starting to get into the flow of the report, Commander Smith's voice came over the comm unit,
"Smith to mc7_of_9. Sir, we're approaching the colony. We've been trying to raise them for the last ten minutes, but they have yet to respond. What are your orders?"
Mc7 wasn't all that surprised by the fact that the colony had decided not to answer the Raven's hails. Ever since ceeding from the Federation they had shunned any offical contact with them. The only information that Starfleet had about the colony came from people who had visited it, or had realitives on it who they still kept in contact with. The fact that those realitives hadn't heard from their family on the colony in over two weeks was what had prompted Command to send the Raven to investigate.
"Enter standard orbit please Commander. I'll be on the Bridge in a few moments."
After he finished speaking he tapped the comm panel on his desk to close the connection. With that done, the admiral stood from his desk and walked to the bathroom and splashed some water over his face. He wanted to be as fresh as possible for making contact with the colony's leaders, as well as for dealing with the crew of the Raven.
Moments later, as the CO walked onto the Bridge of the Raven several officers heads turned towards the turbolift to see who had emerged from it. After seeing the ships commander walk from the turbolift, Steve stood from the center seat, and moved over to his seat to the right hand side of the Captains. Once he had sat in the command chair, mc7 spke.
"Has there been any responce to our hails?"
With that the XO shook his head,
"No sir, we've had no communication from the colony at all"
Ops, conduct a full sensor scan please. Lets make sure that it isn't their communications systetm that's the problem."
As the ops officer tapped commands into his console, a confused look crept over his face.
"Conn, can you confirm our location please?"
"Is there a problem Lt?" the Ops officer heard the Admiral ask.
"Yes Sir, there is. I'm not detecting any trace of the colony. No strutures, no debris, nothing. As far as my sensors are concerned, there has never been a colony on this planet."

She knew this wasn't going well, and could tell he had other things on his mind. She knew he had a job to do, and made some mental notes on this. She had a few ideas for that holodeck adventure she would later be talking about. She refocused on the here and now when she was about to start day dreaming about tonight. ~Curse it, pay attention. I hope he didn't notice that.~ She thought, and pursed her lips looking like she was in thought about something. She knew she had to make the next question good.
"What would you say about your relationships with the crew?" She said hoping that didn't sound too horrible. She wasn't getting a good feel from this guy, like he wasn't all there. She almost had what she needed, and hoped that it wouldn't be too much longer.
(Scott)
"Thank you, sir, for taking the time out to see me. I hope our next one, which will be a while away from this date, will go just as nice. Have a good day." She said not sure of what else to say. She continued to smile as she saw him gather his padds and leave.
After he was gone, she sagged back against the couch cushion behind her, and sighed. "That could have gone bettter." She said to herself more than anything. Suddenly she got a message from the cargo bay. She knew she would have to wait for the next evaluation, and hoped that Nua wasn't causing too much trouble. She didn't like caging her companion, but knew that no one in the Federation would allow her to travel like Arya did. She was glad that her companion would be with her again, and found she missed her very much.
She grabbed two empty padds to write on not wanting to lose her current thoughts about the last evaluation or about her ideas for the holodeck fun.
Her ride down to the carbo bay was a quiet one, and she liked that. She got to the carbo bay as fast as her legs would carry her without her actually running. She entered to hear a loud noise, and knew exactly what was going on. She saw a couple men with phasers out looking around for the culprit. She quickly closed her eyes, and felt to see where the sound was coming from. She wanted to cover her ears, but remembered that Nua was just a baby still, and didn't know any better. She sighed and tried again, this time with luck.
She walked over to where the cage she wanted was, and picked it up placing it on top of another cage. She opened the door to the cage, and put her hand near the edge. Nua jumped out quickly, and looked around. She stopped quealing, and started to chirp happiness when she saw Arya, who just shrugged, shook her head, and chuckled. "My my, now I thought we talked about not making a scene before you were caged. I am sorry you were lost in space for a bit, and I will make sure that doesn't happen again." She said, and Nua climbed up onto her shoulder, the preferred place for the youngling to ride.
"Alright you can sit there, but no more trouble. Oh and don't claw me." She warned the youngling. She turned to see someone with a padd was nearby. She walked over to him.
"Excuse me, I have found something that belongs to me, and I would like to take it with me. What do I need to do?" She said, and he chuckled.
"New huh? Ok, we need the number off the cage, then you need to sign it out of our bay." He said, and she nodded motioning for him to follow her. She lead him to the cage, and he found the number easily. He had what he needed for her to sign up quickly. She signed, and looked to see if there was anything else.
"Well, there you go then." He said, and grabbed the empty container walking away with it. Arya left the carbo bay, and asked the time of the computer. She found it was getting late, but not too late. She had a couple of hours before the little get together, and she decided to go to her quarters to finish up on the work needed.
Several hours later, she had completed some of her report, and had updated three of the records. She was glad she was getting some work done. She once again asked for the time, and found she had half an hour to get ready. She didn't know what one wore to these kinds of things, so she decided a fresh uniform would do. She thought about something a little more dressy, but wasn't sure. She hoped she would look alright in that.
"I just don't understand it, why do I care what I look like?" She asked afraid of the answer. Suddenly she realized how late it was getting, and she made sure to put Nua to bed before she could cause any more mischief. She looked at her quarters as she was leaving, and noticed the big mess her friend had made. She knew training Nua would take time, effort, and patience. She had learned a lot, and decided to clean up the mess later that night if she wasn't too tired.
She walked up to her office door, and found him waiting.

The conversation was going slow and McLean knew why. He had a hard enough time opening up to his wife let alone a shrink. McLean had a few problems with Starfleet and psych evaluations were one of them, he felt that shrinks much like Marines were a waste of valuable space on a starship. The Federations mission was peaceful exploration of space, not a pirate organization worried about how everybody on the crew feels. McLean's attention was brought back to the room as Eowyn asked another ambiguous question.
"What would you say about your relationships with the crew?" She said hoping that didn't sound too horrible.
"Friendly," McLean said quickly with out much thought, "I think for the most part the senior officers on board the ship have been great to me since my arrival several months ago."
"Thank you, sir, for taking the time out to see me. I hope our next one, which will be a while away from this date, will go just as nice. Have a good day." She said not sure of what else to say.
McLean took the chance and quickly grabbed his things and left the room as quickly as he could. Standing outside the officer McLean let out a loud sigh.
"Thank God that's over." He said to himself.
Looking over the PADD's in his hand McLean quickly made his way back down to Main Engineering, back home. After the turbo lift ride Engineering never looked more inviting. The engines hummed with a different pitch, things were looking good.
Any places looks better than that office, McLean thought. Time was ticking and McLean needed to appoint a new Assistant Chief Engineer with in the day and had several qualified engineers to sort through. Only being a Lieutenant brought issues since there were highly qualified Lt. Commanders who were passed up for the position of Chief Engineering. It didn't make much sense for McLean to appoint a Lt. Commander as his assistant, it would only lead to a power struggle in Engineering.
"Maybe it's time for a promotion." McLean joked to himself.

"Helm, take us into standard orbit." The command came from Steven, and Zoarial, who had hid the ship behind a satelite, moved in to the planet, after ops had confirmed that there wasn't even anyone on the planet to actually detect them.
A couple of moments later the captain walked in, which the first officer seemed as a sign that he could leave the bridge, to head for the counsellor. Zoarial wondered why she kept summoning people while they were actually needed at their posts. After all, the succes of the mission had higher priority than having an up-to-date psychological report of all the staff members.
Howerver there were more important matters to worry about now and Zoarial lett all the thoughts clear away for the time being.
"Has there been any responce to our hails?" the captain asked, after which he got a negative response.
*Odd* Zoarial thought, *why would they want to refuse any contact with us. Surely they can't operate without help from the outside world...*
"Ops, conduct a full sensor scan please." The captain ordered, "Lets make sure that it isn't their communications system that's the problem."
*That could be the problem too,* Zoarial realised, he knew that sometime he looked too one-sided at the situation.
"I'm not detecting any trace of the colony. No strutures, no debris, nothing. As far as my sensors are concerned, there has never been a colony on this planet." the officer finally said, and Zoarial gasped in amazement. He couldn't quite figure out how this could be possible.
"Do they perhaps have an advanced cloaking device? That would be a reasonable explanation wouldn't it?" Zoarial suggested.
<<Mc7>
"I agree. Do you have any objections if I join this away team as well? I trust that there will not be much flying going around while were on the surface." Zoarial said.
<<Mc7>>
"My right hand, David Vegas, is quite skilled in the arts of flying I can tell you, should anything go wrong it will not be a big problem for me not being present at the helm." Zoarial replied.
<<Mc7>>
"Understood." Zoarial confirmed, and headed for the nearest transporter room.
Zoarial tapped a couple of buttons on his console to broadcast a general message over the entire ship. =/\=This is commander Zoarial speaking, I request 4 standard equipped away teams to be ready to transport to the surface in 20 minutes. I request the crew on all posts to stand ready should specific back up be needed. Zoarial out.=/\=

"Do they perhaps have an advanced cloaking device? That would be a reasonable explanation wouldn't it?"
Zoarial suggested from his console to the front of the Bridge.
"It would indeed explain it. As far as the information Starfleet provided us with the colony were not as technically advanced enough to develop cloacking technology. Intel has been proven to be wrong in the past though. We won't rule anything out at the moment, and the best way to find out what's happened is to have a look around with an away team."
"I agree. Do you have any objections if I join this away team as well? I trust that there will not be much flying going around while were on the surface."
"I've got no objections Commander. Who is the Asst Conn officer on duty, and whats your estimtion of them?"
The CO asked from the command chair.
"My right hand, David Vegas, is quite skilled in the arts of flying I can tell you, should anything go wrong it will not be a big problem for me not being present at the helm."
That's fine Commander. As soon as Mr Vegas arrives you can start to prep.
Once mc7 had finished talking to Zoarial the Klingon made a shipewide announcement about the impending away teams. As soon as he was finished, mc7 opened a comm channel to the XO. He knew he had only jsut left the Bridge for a meeting with the counsellor, but unfortunetly when duty calls, it calls.

E’Liana was in her office alone once again, wondering what to do with herself. There were technically two hours left of her shift before Mr Jaren came back. She had written a list for him, should he have any trouble during his shift. From what she could see, he was a perfectly competent medical assistant but merely lacked confidence. That’s what she wanted to instil in him.
Looking at the computer screen blankly for the millionth time that hour, E’Liana opened up the EMH’s files to see if she could perhaps try to tinker with his personality. She knew that McLean would be rather annoyed with her if he knew what she was doing, so she just hoped he wouldn’t find out.
Luckily, she suddenly heard Zoarial’s voice. Distracted, she looked up, despite it being a ship-wide announcement:
“This is commander Zoarial speaking, I request 4 standard equipped away teams to be ready to transport to the surface in 20 minutes. I request the crew on all posts to stand ready should specific back up be needed. Zoarial out.”
E’Liana’s eyes lit up. ~Finally! Some action!~ she thought. Briefly she considered calling Joy to join one of the teams but decided against it. Joy had worked hard since they had been underway and so decided to let her sleep.
“BeTor to Jaren.”
“Jaren here…how can I help you?” She was relieved to hear that he was already awake.
“Would you mind coming early? I’m needed for an away mission.”
“Of course, I’m on my way. Give me a few minutes. Jaren out.”
E’Liana then wondered if she should allow him to go on the away mission instead, but the image of his horror-stricken face at her suggestion earlier of a day-shift alone - the typically busier time in Sickbay - persuaded her otherwise.
As she got a medkit ready, and a few others for the teams who would not have a Doctor with them, she activated the EMH.
“Please state - ”
“There isn’t one.”
He looked at her wryly. “Then why was I activated?”
The half-Klingon bristled at his insolence but decided to let it slide. For now. “I have a new member of the medical team. He is coming now and is to be alone for his first shift. He is perfectly competent -” She glared at the EMHs open mouth, ready to strike. “-but I want you to be NICE to him if he asks for your help…understand?”
“I am programmed to be helpful.”
“…but not nice” she muttered to herself, assuming (or perhaps more hoping) that was his way of an agreement with her. “Thanks. Computer, end EMH.”
Just then, the doors opened and in walked Jaren. If she looked a little closer, she could see that he was a little pale and so decided not to notice. She was getting worried about leaving sickbay in his hands and she didn’t need that worry right now. He smiled in greeting and she returned it.
“Hello, thanks for coming early…I’ll let you go on the next away mission in payment, ok?”
He, if possible, went even paler at her suggestion. “It’s alright.” He said, swallowing his fear slightly. “I’m perfectly content up here…”
She smiled again in reply and, picking up her medkits, made her way to the transporter room.

Immideately after David had arrived and was briefed by Zoarial, the helmsman that was now relieved from his official duty, headed for the nearest transporter room.
He wasn't entirely surprised when he found E'Liana there with a med-kit, but acted like he was flabbergasted. Naturally, since Klingon are not very good actors, it was over the top, and E'Liana realised that he was mocking her.
"Good day to you ms BeTor" Zoarial said, now in a more realistic way, as this time, he was actually meaning it. "It's good to have some medical people with us, just in case" he said, and smiled.
<E'Liana>
"Well yeah but..." he started, but was interrupted.
<E'Liana>
"Although..." he tried, but once again was shut off.
<E'Liana>
"Thank you miss BeTor." Zoarial concluded. "now lets to that planet, I'm rather curious about what we will find there. Beam us down Scotty!" He chuckled, the guy at the panel was in fact called Scott, and this Scott Tellson didn't look too amused himself.
Within seconds they were standing on the surface and Zoarial told everyone to be on their guards, but several members of the team yelled back in confusion that the weapons that they had been holding in their hands prior to the beaming, had now dissapeared. After a small count Zoarial found out that about two-thirds of the weapons had been succesfully transferred, which meant that they would some crates of extra weapons.
=/\=Zoarial to transporter room 1, could you beam down a couple of crates with phasers and phaser-rifles? Some people seem to have left them aboard.=/\=
=/\=Yes sir=/\= the response came from the annoyed Tellson and within seconds two crates appeared three feet away from the group.
They were carefully labelled with their contents, but Paul Haywood noticed something strange.
"Sir, it seems that this crate over here..." he kicked against it. "Is labeled 'one out of three' while the other one is labeled 'three out of three' is it me or should there be another crate?" he asked after which Zoarial tapped his badge again, he felt like he had been pulled a prank.
=/\=This is commander Zoarial again, did you incorrectly label the crates?=/\=
A rather surprised response came from the other side. =/\=No sir, does any of the three crates not contain the appropriate ammount of weapons?=/\=
=/\=No, the content is fine ensign, but there seems to be one missing. Could you trace the missing crate and missing weapons and report to the captain? Zoarial out.=/\=
It was a mystery to Zoarial what had happened, and he informed the captain about the situation.

As mc7 sat on the Birdge he continued to review the files that starfleet had sent them. He was determained to actually get through some of them, and wanted to use the relitive calm on the bridge to do that. Moments after the transporter room confirmed the successfull arival of the away teams, the opps officer informed him that Commander Zoarial was hailing.
"Put him through please lt"
"We're arrived on the planet Sir, which is more than I can say for some of the equipment."
With that comment, a number of bemused looks were excahnged throughout the Bridge.
"When we materilaised, around a third of our weaponry didn't. I contacted the tranporter operator and asked for another 3 creates to be beamed down, but only two arrived."
"Do you feel that your under equiped to carry out the search Commander?"
The admiral asked from high in orbit of the planet.
"No sir, we should be ok to proceed."
Very well Commander, keep us updated, and any more unusual events let me know straight away. Oh and Commander, keep your eyes peeled, there's always the possibilitty that the weapons materialised somehwere else on the planet, and if at all possible I don't want to have 2 crates worth of phasers lying around for anyone to find and use. Raven out."
So much for an easy first mission, mc7 thought to himself. It's about time I have a chat with our counsellor, and see what it is I can do for her, he thought, as his hand tapped the console on the arm oh his chair.
"Counsellor Eowyn, please report to my ready room."

E’Liana had been in the Transporter room for a good few minutes before anyone showed up. Thankfully, the door opened and Zoarial strolled in. He seemed to be in a good mood, at least that’s what she surmised as she watched him act. ~Klingons never can do subtle..~ she thought to herself wryly. A few moments later, once Zoarial had sobered himself up somewhat, he was more civil: "Good day to you ms BeTor. It's good to have some medical people with us, just in case" he smiled. “Well you know what missions are like, people always seem to get the wrong idea about them, thinking that they can just munch on a few berries here, step on a loose rock there…” She arched her eyebrow at him. “People just can’t seem to help themselves -” "Well yeah but..." Zoarial attempted to interrupt her, but as all men know, you cannot interrupt a woman on a rampage - especially not a Klingon one. “And you!” she started, pointing a finger at him. “Klingons are always the worst. I was with my father for a while on his vessel, and the scrapes they would get themselves into on away missions…” She rolled her eyes disdainfully. “I mean, really, most of it was with each other. There’s no honour in that.” "Although..." he tried, but once again was shut off by a mere glare. “Are you really trying to glamorise violence, Commander? I mean, don’t get me wrong, I value honour - it’s hard not to with my father around - but sometimes people can get stupid. That’s why I have this!” At this point, she grinned and raised her hand which was holding what looked like a dermal regenerator. “I have a backup one, too” she said, motioning to the medkit, seemingly oblivious to the look she was getting from her fellow-officer. "Thank you miss BeTor." Zoarial concluded. At this point, E’Liana noticed the others slowly making their way into the room and looking at the two Klingons questioningly. Thinking back to her tirade, she realised that she was slowly becoming her mother and grimaced. Not observing (or perhaps ignoring) this, Zoarial called out "now lets to that planet, I'm rather curious about what we will find there. Beam us down Scotty!" E’Liana fought the urge to roll her eyes at him again and obediently stood patiently, waiting to beam down. When they finally made their way to the planet, half their cargo was missing. Luckily, her medkits seemed to still be intact, so she made no mention of them. ~It looks like only the dangerous objects didn’t materialise…~ Quietly, she suggested this to Zoarial as they made their way. <TAG Zoarial> OOC: Nah nah, Zoarial, I managed to fill it all out! Ha!

"Only dangerous objects didn't materialise you say?" Zoarial said, and could barely refrain himself from casually noting that he found it odd that E'Liana did materialise herself. A hostile mood like that, although playfull, wasn't going to improve the moral of the rest of the away-team. "Ok I want all tricoders set to the signatures of the weapons and crates, we should find out where they were beamed to."
He then tapped his commbadge to send a message to the ship.
=/\=This is commander Zoarial for the Raven, come in please=/\=

=/\=Could you please scan the surface for the weapons? Our main priority is to find this colony, but we will be digging a bit as well.=/\=
<Bridge>
=/\=Thank you very much, I would like to hear from you as soon as there is news.=/\=
<Bridge>
Zoarial then holstered a phaser and grabbed a phaser-rifle, after which he turned to the securitygroup. "We will split up into three teams. One team will be led by commander BeTor, the second team will be under the command of Paul Haywood and the third will accompany yours truly. I want a medic to join every team too. There will be an open comm-link between BeTor, Haywood and me. Any questions?"

"Only dangerous objects didn't materialise you say?" Zoarial said, with a smile on his face and a strange glint in his eye. E’Liana had the feeling that he was trying not to be rude, so chose to ignore it. She might try and get it out of him later.
He carried on speaking to the team regardless. "Ok I want all tricorders set to the signatures of the weapons and crates, we should find out where they were beamed to."
Everyone nodded and set their tricorder accordingly.
Zoarial then holstered a phaser and grabbed a phaser-rifle, after which he turned to the security group. "We will split up into three teams. One team will be led by commander BeTor, the second team will be under the command of Paul Haywood and the third will accompany yours truly. I want a medic to join every team too. There will be an open comm-link between BeTor, Haywood and me. Any questions?"
E’Liana’s eyes widened in surprise at hearing that she was to be a team leader but nodded accordingly. She had never done this before, so she just hoped that nothing went wrong. She found the assigned medics in the two other teams and gave them medkits.
“No questions at the moment, but I’m sure I’ll think of some once we’ve set off…” She noted wryly.

OOC: JP between Smith and myself.
IC:
She heard the call for officers, and realized that things would have to wait. She wasn't sure she liked that.
"Well it looks like we should head to the bridge and see what is going on." She said, and started to walk toward the turbolift.
Steve rolled his eyes. He just knew that something like this was going to happen. The one time he was looking forward to an evening, and its gets interrupted.
He looked a little sad, and sighed. "Yeah, I guess we should." He replied, and followed Arya. "I wonder whats happening up there."
"Yeah, me too. Maybe in a little while we can rescedule our little get together." She said, although she wasn't sure why. She had been looking forward to this little time with him. She wondered what had been going on with her lately. She couldn't shake this like she did last time. She tried to show nothing, and hoped she was succeeding.
"I would like that. But lets get this situation out of the way first, and hopefully we can arrange something," He replied. Steve genuinly was disappointed. This was something that he hadnt experienced in a long time.
"Did you actually have anything planned?" She was surprised with the question.
"Well, I knew we were going to talk about that holodeck idea for the crew to relax in, but other than that, no, I had nothing planned. Did you?" She asked wondering what he was getting at. She had noticed his body language had changed a bit, but she didn't say anything about it. She couldn't help but smile a bit.
Steve coughed a little. "No, I didnt have anything in mind. My intention was to get your door and take it from there." He replied, and returned the smile, partially wondering what it was for. "Holodeck idea, yes, well thats always something good to work on. As long as I dont go all silly over everything!"
She wondered about his last comment. They entered the turbolift together, and she wondered what he meant exactly. "Well, silly can be good though. Computer, bridge." She said, and the lift began to move. She noticed the lift was empty except them, and wondered why no one else was with them. She felt her face go a bit red, and she hoped he hadn't noticed. She didn't want to be guessed so quickly.
"We will probably have plenty of time for that later on though." She said, fighting the urge to go closer to him.
Steve turned towards her. "Thats true. Just not in excess." He wondered how long it would take to get to their destination. He was beginning to feel a little hot, and it wasnt to do with the small room.
He scratched his head, and looked at the ceiling. "Yeah, as long as this crisis is averted, we will have more than enough time." He wasnt sure which way this conversation was headed, but he certainly wasnt going to stop it!
She noticed he looked at the ceiling, and that he was looking a little uncomfortable. She wondered why. "Is something wrong? You seem awful anxious to get to our destination." She said quickly hoping he would answer her. She wondered what was on his mind, and why he was acting so peculiar.
Steve quickly lowered his glance. "Oh no, no. There is nothing wrong. I am just nervous, thats all." He replied, going a little red in the face. "Its just that I dont usually spend any amount of time with someone like you. You have made me smile, and relax, and I enjoy it!" He added, with a glint in his eye. She noticed the glint, and relaxed a little at his words, maybe a little too much. She moved a little closer, and placed a kiss on his cheek to see what he would do.
To say that Steve was shocked was an understatement, but not in a bad way. He liked it, but was unsure of how to proceed now. He looked into Arya's eyes for a second or two, before he moved in and kissed her on the lips softly. She put her arms around his neck pushing into the kiss. She had hoped he would respond in this way, and was very glad he did.
She pulled back a few minutes later, wondering how close they were to the bridge. ~I wonder what would happen if we were caught like this.~ She thought, knewing this was her being wicked, and she wasn't sure she liked having thoughts like this. She knew they had to be cautious, and not let things get in the way of their duty. She put her head on his shoulder not wanting this to end. "Computer stop turbolift."
Steve tried to get his breathing back to normal. He slowly stroked Arya's head as it rested on his shoulder. He was so glad that she hadnt thought he had gone too far with his kiss. At this moment in time, all thoughts rushed out of his head, and everything centered on him and Arya here, in the turbolift.
"So." He said, finally, and softly. "What happens now?"
"It's too bad we have to go to the bridge, or we might have had some fun." She said, and almost resumed the turbolift. Instead she rubbed her hand down the front of his uniform, then looked up at him.
Steve grinned, and looked down at Arya. "As you said a few moments earlier, there is always plenty of time for that later!" He replied, and winked. He felt more happier here than he had done for quite some time. He leaned down, and kissed her again, and hugged her.
She had never felt like this before, she enjoyed it and yet it scared her a bit as well. She heard his comment, and noticed he winked. She chuckled, and then found his lips met her again. She noticed he was hugging her, and she returned the hug and the kiss. She found this experience very enjoyable, and did her best to forget their destination, not wanting to spoil the moment.
Without stopping the hug, Steve again looked at Arya. He had to ask....."Are you ok with all this?" He wanted to know her feelings on the matter. If it wasnt for the pressing matter on the Bridge, he was quite content with staying like this for a long time.
"I have never felt this way before, but I enjoy it. I wish it not to end so soon, but I know we are needed." She said trying to make the moment last longer. She felt such joy at being in his arms, and she didn't want to be saddened by the feeling leaving. She kissed him again, but only for a moment teasing him a little.
Steve smiled again. "I enjoy it too. Yes, we are needed. But with any luck, it will be all over soon, and we can get back to this!" In Arya's arms, Steve felt happy, and didnt want to let her go. He had a little look of naughtiness in his eyes. "How about we work as hard as we can, and go back to yours after its all over?" She found it hard to smile, and didn't even fight it.
"Now that sounds like a plan, when is your shift suppose to start any ways?" She asked hoping that it wouldn't be any time soon. She unbuttoned the tunic part of his uniform, and put her hand where his heart was. She could feel his strong heart beating very fast, and she knew her own was doing the same thing.
Steve wasnt going to stop Arya and just let her carry on. He put his hands on her neck and began rubbing it. "Um, actually, just before the Captain called you, he asked me to come to the bridge asap." He said, unhappily. "But perhaps there may be a way to keep you near me while on duty."
"I would like that, if at all possible. It might not be though, but it is worth a try." She said closing her eyes as he rubbed her neck enjoying it immensly. She put her other hand on his chest and began rubbing it going up and down with both of her hands. She liked the feel of his muscles.
He carried on rubbing her neck, making it more intense. "Im not promising anything though, but I will do my best." He then leaned in and kissed her forehead. He starting thinking thoughts that he really shouldnt be thinking at this particular moment in time...they could wait. She found the neck rubbing more enjoyable than she thought was possible. She found it hard to not make more of this little time they were having together, but she knew she needed to fight any urges for the time being. Suddenly she pulled away from him.
"We really need to get to the bridge." She said, and turned hoping he would see that things were going too far.
Steve let go, and nodded. "Yeah, we do, otherwise we'd end up all day in here!" He replied, and smiled. He didnt want it to end, but it was only going to be temporary until they got some more spare time.
"Computer, resume." He commanded, and with his right hand, he searched out for Arya's and held onto it. She smiled and took his hand, holding it. She remembered something and chuckled.
"You know, if you leave your tunic open you might be reprimanded for not being in suitable uniform." She said teasing him. She couldn't help but laugh a little, and looked over at him with a twinkle of her own in her eyes.
He looked down, and slowly closed his tunic, but not totally. "Yeah, you're right, but hey, its gets hot in here sometimes!" Steve smiled and locked eyes with Arya. "It'll be your turn later." He said, in an almost teasing voice.
"Something I look forward to then." She said and realized they were close to the bridge. She let go of his hand, and then the doors of the turbolift opened showing they had reached their destination. She watched as he walked onto the bridge and she followed.
She walked over to the ready room door, and rank the chime.
(mc7)
She entered, and found him at his desk. "How may I be of service sir?" She asked quickly, walking to the front of his desk where she moved to attention.

Steve watched Arya walk over to the Ready Room. He was brought back to his senses when she ship's comlink was opened.
=/\=This is commander Zoarial for the Raven, come in please=/\=
=/\= This is the Commander Smith, go ahead. =/\= He replied, moving towards the center of the Bridge.
=/\=Could you please scan the surface for the weapons? Our main priority is to find this colony, but we will be digging a bit as well.=/\=
=/\= Understood Commander, we'll get right on it. =/\=
=/\=Thank you very much, I would like to hear from you as soon as there is news.=/\=
=/\= Ok, Commander. We will get back to you soon. Good luck down there. Raven out. =/\=
Steve cut the comlink and took a very short moment to compose himself. He then set about his new task. After tapping a few commands into the arm of his chair, he called out,
"I want a planetary surface scan for any trace of weaponry. I want to be able to help out Commander Zoarial in anyway we can."

McLean heard the announcement for people to join the away team, but he felt his duties were needed on the Raven at the moment. Making sure the ship was running at top notch after a stay at a starbase can be a demanding job, especially after the ships entire electrical system had been taken out.
Looking over his checklist McLean noticed everything looked to be running as smoothly as it possibly could. He knew it would only be a matter of time before the Admiral took his personal inspection of the ship. Setting down the PADD in his office McLean sat back and decided to take a break. Knowing the ship was back to normal was a load lifted off his shoulders and he was going to enjoy this moment of relief.
OOC: Sorry for such a short post. Taking time off always kills me, so I hope to get back into it ASAP.

McLean sat in Main Engineering enjoying his small break when out of nowhere a lone science officer knocked on the glass between where McLean was sitting with his eyes closed and the Warp Core. “Sorry to bother you sir.” The young Ensign said. “No, don’t worry about it,” McLean said sitting up straight, “What can I do for you?” “Commander Smith is asking us to scan the surface of the planet and look for weapons.” The Ensign explained. “Ok,” McLean said still confused, “So, what do you want me to do?” “We would like you to help us boost power to the sensors sir.” “Ensign, I think you’re in the wrong department.” McLean said, “You need to talk with OPS about that.” “Well sir we did,” The Ensign stated almost fearful, “OPS said they are having a problem with the system right now.” “Damn,” McLean said under his breath, “Why didn’t anybody tell me?” “We tried sir. The COM system has been having some troubles.” “Alright, I will get right on it.” McLean said getting up from his chair, and I was just getting really comfortable, McLean thought to himself. Dragging himself out into Main Engineering, McLean walked over to the nearest OPS console down in Engineering and began a scan of the systems. It wasn’t long before he noticed the problems. In an effort to boost power to the sensors the science department had inadvertently taken the internal COM system off line by draining it of all its allocated power. “That’s what the reserve systems are there for.” McLean grumbled to himself. Looking over the sensor information coming from the deep scans of the planet McLean started to notice a reason for why they were unable to scan through the atmosphere to locate any weapons or even the colony. A fine radiant material was floating around the upper troposphere as if it was placed there; it was on such a subtle frequency that it would block only Federation sensors. “Why would they want to only block our sensors?” McLean asked out loud. It took only a few moments before McLean started to get a bad feeling in his stomach. Tapping his COM badge he opened a channel with one of the away teams. “McLean to Commander Zoarial.” “Go ahead.” “I just found something odd about this planet’s atmosphere, I think it would be a good idea to keep your guard up. There is a thin layer of radiation floating in the planets troposphere that prevents only our sensors from penetrating deep into the planet.” McLean said. “Agreed.” Zorial replied, “Zorial out.” McLean saved the data he had just found onto a PADD and prepared to show his findings to the bridge officers. ”McLean to Commander Smith, I found some interesting information about the planet that I’m sending your way now.” <Tag ALL>OCC: Alright everybody this mission has seemed to slow down pretty bad, so lets pick up the pace again.

OOC: Well I'm still here, making it up as I go along. Don't want to be on the surface alone though, ahh!
IC: Having received the message from Zoarial, she felt very uneasy. She thought it was her woman's intuition that made her feel like this, but for some reason she felt like her group was being watched.
Cautiously she opened her tricorder and tired to scan the around around them subtley. Nothing. This momentairily reassured her until she realised that whatever was affecting their sensors onboard the Raven was probably affecting them on the surface too. Her heart suddenly stopped.
"BeTor to Zoarial"
There was silence. Panicking slightly, as she did not like being blinded, she tried again, this time he answered her.
"Zoarial here."
"Just a quick question, but since the tricorders don't work, are we actually sure that our weapons will too? I'd try my own but if there is someone here that we can't see, they might interpret it as hostile..."
<TAG Zoarial>
"Hm..well, as much as I enjoy hand-to-hand combat, I don't think all the members of my team are as keen as I am. What are we going to do?"

=/\=BeTor to Zoarial=/\=
Zoarial did not notice that he was hailed, his badge only gave a very faint sound, which he misinterpreted as a sound coming from the surroundings. However, when his tricoder indicated that there was no lifeform nearby, he realised that somebody might have wanted to make contact.
=/\=Zoarial here=/\= He answered, hoping that the noise now coming from his badge would clear up a little bit.
=/\=Just ... tricorders ... work, ... actually .... weapons too=/\= the heavily distorted sound came. =/\= ... there is someone here ... can ... interpret ... hostile...=/\=
Zoarial hoped that E'Liana was able to correctly hear what he was saying, and responded to what he thought that she said.
=/\= It's good to hear that you can scan and defend yourselves, the rest will work out fine. Please stand your ground, we will come that way to show them our fists.=/\= he answered, believing that E'Liana was in a dangerous position.
=/\=Hm ... I enjoy hand-to-hand combat ... think .... members of .. team ... keen as I ... are we going ...?=/\= the answer came.
Zoarial didn't see how E'Liana could be so cool when they were probably under fire.
=/\=Don't go, please stand your ground, don't use hand to hand combat either but use your weapons. I will be there in a couple of minutes.=/\= he answered and motioned his team to follow him.
When they were nearing a forest, a big bird came swooping down on them as if ordered to attack. One of the teammembers aimed his phaser but no distinctive sound was heard. The phaser remained silent. Quickly, the ensign adapted and threw his phaser at the bird instead, knocking it out cold. The weapon and the bird fell down, both unharmed but (where possible) unconcious.
Zoarial didn't like the situation at all, with the sensors not working and their weapons seeming to be disfunctional, it seemed that all technology was kind of blocked out. Nevertheless he was able to pick up the bio signature of E'Liana and her team.
After a couple of minutes he could see her walking, as if nothing had happened.
"Hey commander!" he yelled, and the medical officer turned her head. "Where are these hostile people you told me about?" he inquired.

Realising that Zoarial probably couldn’t hear her properly, E’Liana gave up attempting to communicate. ~The comm system is down too…should we really be down here?~ she wondered to herself. As her team made their way, she thought she could see some figures in the distance. Squinting slightly, she could see a large Klingon man and sighed. ~What DID he think I said?~
She gestured to her team to change direction slightly to meet them and waved to acknowledge them.
"Hey commander!" Zoarial yelled, “Where are these hostile people you told me about?" he inquired.
She looked at him, puzzled, but decided to carry on the conversation when they were closer together. “What hostile people? What are you talking about, Zoarial?”
<TAG Zoarial>
“So you thought you’d come and rescue us? How…chivalrous…although need I really remind you that I’m hardly a damsel in distress?” She stated, in a somewhat serious tone, but was betrayed by her eyes which were laughing slightly.
<TAG Zoarial>
“Yes, well…thanks. Since we’re together now, I suggest that we proceed together. Our weapons don’t work, we can’t scan effectively and we don’t know where we are…there’s safety in numbers. I suggest we also try and rendezvous with Haywood’s team as soon as possible. I for one haven’t heard anything, although right now that’s not saying much” Her eyebrow raised sardonically as she motioned to her rather defunct comm badge. “What do you think, Commander?”

After the meeting with the captain, Arya headed out to the bridge, and walked over to see if she could stay. She noticed the captain hadn't come with her, and she sat down next to the captain's chair in the third empty seat. "You think anyone will mind me being here?" She questioned hoping that the answer was 'no'.
(Smith)
She took out one of her padds to make it look like she had a purpose for being there, and decided to look at the list of people she had yet to evaluate. One was on the planet right then, so she knew she had to wait. It seemed like the senior staff was almost done on evaluations, and she was glad. She didn't like to poke and prode people about their past and such. Her mind wandered back to the turbolift ride, and she couldn't help but smile.
She tried to concentrate on the questions she wanted to ask the pilot, but she found it hard, especially with Smith sitting next to her. She knew she had to look like she was doing something important, but was there any other reason for her to be on the bridge. She didn't want to get booted by the captain if she had no other reason for being there.
Ensign Rolan found she was part of Haywood's team, and headed of with them. She was a bit nervous being on the planet, and wondered why. She was good at her job, and had a wonderful record behind her. She had never had anything go wrong on her shift, and she planned to keep it that way.
She scanned the terran as they spread out to look around. She wasn't sure what was going on. She didn't want to be taken by surprise with anything. She was too busy watching the area that she didn't noticed some of her teams was disappearing. She kept her phaser ready for anything, and wondered what was going on.
"Sir, there is a fork here, which way did you want us to go?" She said wondering what they would do now. She thought spliting the team would be good, and then realized she didn't get an answer. She turned to find her team was gone, and she was alone. She didn't like this one bit, and wondered what could be going on. She decided to keep exploring, and took the left fork.
After hours of searching alone, she found herself right back at the beginning of the fork. She didn't like what was going on, and felt like a rat in some kind of maze. She decided to take the right fork this time, hoping to make up some ground. She sighed not sure where everyone had gone.
She continued forward hoping there was a way out of this stupid fork. She hated the feelings she was having, but couldn't shake them. She didn't want to be anyone's test subject, and concentrated on the goal, getting away from the fork.
Hours later she found herself back at the fork, and she wasn't sure why she was back at this place again. ~Am I walking circles here? What should I do?~ She thought, and decided to go back to the beam in point. She hoped someone might be there now getting ready to leave.
She had been searching for what seemed forever for the beam in point, but nothing looked familiar, then she groaned when she noticed the one familiar thing, the fork. She couldn't explain it, and she didn't know what else to do.
=^=Rolan to any member of the away team. I seem to be lost, stuck, or something. Could someone rendevous with me?=^=
She sat by the fork not sure what was keeping them. She wondered if her commbadge worked at all. She decided to try something, she picked a spot not too far away, and tried to fire her phaser. She found it didn't work, and then realized if one didn't work, then her commbadge wasn't working either. She didn't know what was going on, but she found this to be rediculous, and she wasn't sure what to do about it. She sighed and sat down ready to use her knives and phaser, as a club, if anything attacked.
