As mc7 neared the Romulan delegation he heard J.C.'s voice begin to get higher as she spoke. As Isis was new to the Raven, mc7 was unsure of what sort of person she was, and how she handled situations like this, so the Admiral decided it would be best not to find out in such a public venue, or indeed in front of the Romulan guests. Upon reaching the group mc7 had been able to gather a brief synopsis of the conversation so far, and intended to steer it in an entirely new direction.
Commander Tovan, I've been meaning to ask you, did you fight during the war?
The Romulan officer seemed almost taken aback by the obvious change of subject, and looked to Isis before saying anything. The tension in the room was almost at breaking point, just as a call came over the comm system.
Lt Isis, please report to main engineering immediately.
Upon hearing the summons there was a glimmer in J.C.'s eyes which made mc7 wonder for a moment if she was going to ignore the comm and make him take the situation up a level. He had hoped by having Isis called away to deal with an apparent problem in the main sensor array he could defuse the situation for now, and give him some time to deal with it in a more informal, and less public arena.
After a standing for a moment in complete silence J.C. turned on her heel and left the group heading towards the door of the crew lounge. Just before walking through the doors to exit the lounge she turned round and looked at Tovan for a brief second before turning and leaving.
So Commander, you were about to tell me about your service during the war?
Mc7 knew that Romulans as a race loved to boast about their military victories almost as much as Klingons. Mc7 tended not to make generilisations about entire race's, but for this particular group of people, he would make an exception.
Twenty minutes, and three war stories, later mc7 excused himself in order to get another drink. Before he left, he noticed that E'Liana and Reman were standing over in a corner by them selves, obviously trying to keep it that way. Calling their names, he indicated that they should come over and join them. As they arrived, Mc7 introduced them to the Romulans, and let them being their small talk. As he left the group, he made a small gesture to Carl that no one else noticed to join him. When they had cleared the group, and both got another drink, they went to one of the sofa's which were spaced throughout the room.
Carl, please tell me that one of my senior officers did not just accuse a visiting Romulan dignitary of being complicit in her mothers murder?

McLean had spent the better part of his shift going through each system for a tour that never came. It wasn't until the last few hours of his shift that word of a diplomatic gathering was taking place in the crew lounge.
"Great." McLean grumbled.
He as well as other officers hated their dress uniforms. They were uncomfortable and from an engineers stand point they were impractical since he couldn't stash tools anywhere.
McLean looked himself over, checking to see if he had managed to get any dirt on his duty uniform. He found himself pleasantly surprised at himself, his uniform was clean, not a single dirty spot. He took a second to place a data PADD in his pants custom made cargo pockets before heading out of Main Engineering.
"Lt. Benson you're in charge." McLean called out.
"Yes sir." Benson replied sheepishly.
Should I change? McLean asked himself as he walked through the corridors toward the main turbo lift, No. He answered himself in a rather angry tone. It was then that he remembered that last time he wore his dress uniform was when he and Stephanie decided to renew their vows. The doors to the turbo lift opened and McLean stepped in still deep in thought about his decision to wear the uniform or not.
"The hell with that uniform." He grumbled as the door closed, "Crew lounge."
After the brief turbo lift ride McLean strode quickly into the crew lounge. It was then that he felt more out of place than he had ever. He looked around the room and what did he see, dress uniforms and Romulans. It seemed to him that all eyes where on him as he stood motionless in the doorway.
Commander Torek seemed to take quick notice of the Chief Engineer as he stood in the doorway and motioned for McLean to join him at the bar.
McLean walked quickly with an air of authority in his step. Commander Torek upon noticing the Romulans standing in front of him take notice of McLean's presence turned himself to open up a space for the Chief Engineer.
"Ah, gentlemen. I would like to introduce you to the Raven's Chief Engineer, Commander Scott McLean."
The Romulans nodded their head in a traditional and as far as McLean could tell a polite greeting.
"Pleased to meet you," McLean quickly replied, "I'm sorry sir but I just got through with my shift and haven't had the chance to change into my dress uniform."
Torek looked as if he was going to reply when one of the Romulans interjected, "Engineers, they are a breed of their own arn't they." The group polietly laughed at the Romulans joke.
"Can I get you anything sir?" The bartender asked McLean.
McLean turned his back to the group after a quick motion to excuse himself, "Scotch on the rocks."
"Right away sir." Replied the bartender.
"It's going to be a long night." McLean said to himself as he waited for his drink.

After assuring the Captain, though failing to convince himself, that his Chief Science Officer hadn't almost started a diplomatic incident, he and Steven moved round the room .. Carl noticed Commander Tovan and the other Romulans, they were stood with less than a sip of liquid in their glasses. It occurred to him that they may actually be preparing to leave, 'and if he had to stay, then so did they' he thought.
As he reached the bar, he signaled for a steward ..
"Refresh the Commander's drink please .." he said.
"Yes Sir .. Can I fill yours too ?" he asked the others, who all nodded in unison placing their glasses down.
Carl was going to ask about their thoughts on the Zeus program, but then noticed Commander McLean in the doorway, still, he thought enviously, in his duty uniform .. He motioned for the Engineer to join them and made the introductions while Scott waited for his drink.
It didn't go un-noticed, especially by the Romulans, that the drink didn't stay in the glass for long, then Scott ordered a second ..
"You like this drink .. Scotch ?" Donark asked, "You don't like the taste of a more potent drink." he finished, holding the fresh glass of ale out ..
"I wouldn't know .. I've never tried Romulan ale." said Scott, seemingly un-interested in small talk .. Donark raised his eyebrows ..
"Then you must !" the Romulan said loudly, clearly making it a challenge ...
As he took the glass, Scott noticed the look on Torek's face. It clearly said DON'T get into a drinking contest ! ... As the Romulan's, along with E'liana and Jared, discussed the merits of Romulan ale, Carl discreetly scanned the room, everything seemed to be going well ..
'Lets hope it remains that way' he thought ..........

The party had, surprisingly, gone off without any major issues. despite Lieutenant Isis' accusations ..
The Romulan's decided to ignore what had happened, instead, taking advantage of the amount of Romulan ale aboard .. They actually looked as if they had enjoyed the whole thing ..
Several hours, and copious amounts of ale later, Commander Tovan said he and his party were ready to return to their quarters .. After Mc and Carl said goodnight to the four, they leaned against the bar. Mc holding his head as if it may well drop off at any moment ..
"Oh I hope we won't be required to hold another one of these in a hurry." he said.
"No .. Hell they can certainly drink." replied Carl.
"OK .. I'm going to my quarters to lay down .. Short of a core breach .. I want to sleep this off .. Goodnight Commander."
"Night Sir." said Carl, watching the Captain make his way, unsteadily, to the doors .. A steward passed and Carl ordered coffee, "Strong, black, and lots of it .. I'll be over there." he finished, pointing to an empty table near the windows.
He'd been sat there for almost an hour, when a Security Officer approached, squatting down so as to be at eye-level with the Exec'..
"Problem Lieutenant ?" Carl asked.
"Yes Sir .. There is ..... One of the Romulan's have been found dead."
Carl almost jumped out of his seat and headed for the door, the Lieutenant close behind .. As they got to the corridor Carl spoke urgently ..
"Wake the Captain ... Now !" ..........

Jared had more fun at the gathering once the Romulans let their bowl cut hair down and less serious conversations were more fitting. Eventually it was agreed that Romulan ale does look like something the dentist might give you, but tastes more like something a south Texan would. Come to think of it, Jared wasn't much on the specialities of Earth's regions and neither would be the Romulan or E'Liana. So who suggested it?
Fortunately Jared hadn't drunk much, being careful not to be drawn into any competitions with either the Romulan or the (half) Klingon. It was more fortunate than the night had been for one of the Romulans as one of the security men turned up and whispered to Jared that one of the Romulans was dead. 'I thought I should be discreet about it, sir' he said to explain why the comm hadn't been used 'Well done. Go and find the captain or Torek and let them know, but keep it quiet still' Once the man had gone, Jared entered the nearest empty room 'Computer, where is Lieutenant Isis?' 'Lieutenant Isis is in her quarters' Jared knew that as soon as the Romulans found out about this it was likely he was going to have to throw Isis in the brig for the sake of appeasement. Still, even if she was innocent, which was entirely possible since hatred does not always lead to murder, she had dug her own hole by the outburst at the gathering. Jared made his way to the bridge and from his console put the main shields up. If the assassin was on board still, then he wanted to make sure that they couldn't beam off. Next, he made the computer watch Isis's comm badge and lifesigns. If she was innocent then he'd need the evidence to show she did not try to leave or escape. It seemed unlikely since the private shuttle she owned had proved too large and unnecessary for the hangar and so had been left at Bellicose. If she was an assassin, she'd have brought a smaller, less conspicous one. Then, Jared found several security men and had them stand guard around the systems which would need to be sabotaged to turn the shields off.
After all that, Jared sought Torek and the scene of the crime, where several security officers were already present. <Torek>

Five minutes after Isis had been to enginereeing to install a new sensor pallet, she went to her quarters, walked over to a hidden draw in the wall and took out a bottle of blue-green liquid. A lable on the bottle said "Rommy ale/Moondust". She took a glass from the replicator and poured a small amount and drank it. She then drank another, looked at the glass, threw it in the corner, and started to gulp down the contents of the bottle.
(OOC: to make it harder for her to be innocent)

After getting back to his quarters mc7 drank three large glasses of water. Since his body wasn't all that used to drinking real alcohol, but rather the more readily available synthahol, he decided that he would follow the advice his dad gave him just after he turned 18 and was legally allowed to consume alcohol. On the rare occasion that he indulged in real alcohol, three glasses of water before bed generally meant he would wake up feeling fairly fresh, as opposed to what used to be known as a 'hangover' on 21st century Earth. Once into bed mc7 tossed and turned, unable to get comfortable. After around 50 minutes of this he eventually fell asleep, only to be woken up 10 minutes later by the chime the door to his quarters. Sighing, he sat up, rubbed his eyes to clear them of any debris from his all to brief sleep, and walked over to the door. Upon arriving at he tapped the small pad to the side of it to allow it open. The doors parted to reveal an ashen faced Ensign, whose name escaped mc7. Ensign, what's wrong? You look as if you've seen a ghost.Sir, it's the Romulan Commander. He's been found dead.As the Ensign finished speaking, mc7 suddenly understood his ashen coloured face. Ok Ensign, thank you. Go and have some tea to calm you down. That's an order.The Ensign nodded to the Admiral, and left to follow his instruction. Mc7 to Torek. Have you been informed of the 'situation'?Torek here. Yes Sir, it was me that sent Ensign O'Neil to wake you. I'm in Tovan's quarters where the body was found. I've contacted E'Liana, and she's on her way now. Jared has raised the shields so that no one can beam out. Very few people know about the situation at present. I thought it would be best to contact you before the Romulans find out. Ok Carl. I'll be at the quarters shortly. Ensure that you keep a record of everyone the enters the quarters since the body was found. We need to make sure this is done correctly, and fast. mc7 out.After signing off the comm system mc7 let out a large sigh. He had really high hopes for this mission, but the chances of avoiding an interstellar incident were now looking very unlikely indeed. <Tag: Miss BeTor, would you care to examine the body >

E'Liana shook her head, trying to clear her thoughts and soon realised that such an action was a mistake. She had just been told to go back to duty, with Torek sounding rather ominous until she got it out of him that a Romulan had been found dead.
She found her lack of empathy somewhat disturbing, but decided that she should at least be professional about it. Looking down, E'Liana realised that she had yet to change out of her formal uniform, having slumped down in a chair and apparently fallen asleep. Deciding that she would work better in her normal uniform, and since the man was dead there was no real hurry, she got changed, yanked her hair back into a bun to hide its messiness and gulped down some water to stave of the notorious effects of the Romulan Ale and set to work.
~*~
She arrived and saw the security detail at the door, and noticed someone she didn't know the name of look on curiously as they walked past. ~So they haven't told everyone yet~ she thought to herself. She nodded silently to the security guard as she went in and saw the poor man lying on the floor. Luckily his eyes were closed. She hated seeing the lack of life in their eyes.
She knelt down beside him and, with the medkit from Sickbay in one hand and her PADD of downloaded data on Romulans in the other, she proceeded to assess him. He had extensive bruising on his face which seemed to have occured after death. ~This is odd...~ She thought to herself.
E'Liana picked up a hypospray and got a blood sample from him, to check for any toxins in his blood and was about to scan him when the doors opened and she heard the voice of an enraged Romulan. She had no idea which one it was...her head was still blurry from the alcohol.
"This is an outrage, we cannot allow you to examine him Doctor, it is against our beliefs!" She thought this was odd as she had never heard of such beliefs from Romulus but decided that it was impossible to know of all the religions of a world. She casually placed the blood sample into her medkit and began to pack up as the security officer restrained the man.
"I understand, sir" she said, decided that formality should be upheld since she couldn't for the life of her remember his name "I must apologise for his breach of confidence. As you can see I have stopped, but I must ask you to remain calm as this is still a crime scene, and THAT is on a starfleet vessel and as such you have no juristicition over."
E'Liana watched the Romulan calm down and she exited behind him, telling the security officer to inform the Admiral and Commander Torek of what had happened, and that she would be in sickbay.
All she needed now was to examine the room, but first she would have to make a trip to sickbay...

A little back posting
"You like this drink .. Scotch ?" Donark asked, "You don't like the taste of a more potent drink." he finished, holding the fresh glass of ale out ..
"I wouldn't know .. I've never tried Romulan ale." said Scott, seemingly un-interested in small talk .. Donark raised his eyebrows ..
"Then you must !" the Romulan said loudly.
McLean smiled at the Romulan, it was the first time in a long time that he felt as if he was home. The drunk Romulan sounded more like an Irishman than some space going alien that he was.
"I'll drink to that." McLean said as he took the tall glass of blue liquid from the Romulan, and with several large gulps the Ale was gone and McLean shook his head back and forth as the potency of the liquid hit home. With out missing a beat McLean slammed the tall glass down on the table and then turned it over upside down.
McLean noticed the Romulan look at McLean funny after he turned the glass over, "What's the matter," McLean started, "Never seen a human drink like this?"
"Not really." Replied Donark.
McLean quickly turned back to face the bartender and held up just two finders and pointed at his over turned scotch glass. The bartender quickly nodded his head and produced another two glasses and an unopened bottle of real Scotch.
"Try this!" McLean exclaimed as he poured a glass for Donark.
Donark raised the glass and began to smell it when McLean stopped him, "Don't smell the bloody thing, just drink it."
Them Donark started to raise the glass to his lips when McLean stopped him again, "What is it now?" Donark questioned.
"We need to drink to something," McLean answered, "Oh, I got it. To our heath."
"Our health?" Donark said clearly confused by McLean's actions.
"Health!" McLean exclaimed as he threw back the shot, "Now that will take the hair off your mothers back!"
Before long McLean was drunk and he didn't care. He had arranged it with the assistant Chief Engineer to take the day off, he was calling it a 'personal day'. There are few times that somebody welcomes the hangover but this was one of them. McLean needed to feel alive and he always looked into the direction of a hangover to feel truly alive.
The rest of the night became a blur to McLean as he stumbled around the ship, finally finding a comfortable spot on one of the less used turbolifts.

"Commander," McLean heard from a distance, "Commander, wake up." Finally McLean opened his eyes and looked at the beautiful site that stood before him.
"Are you an angel?" McLean said in a slurred speech.
"uh, no." The female medical crew member replied, "Are you OK?"
McLean closed his eyes as he mumbled something about wishing he was dead, but the persistent crewman pulled hard on McLean's arm causing him to open his eyes in shock.
"What the hell are you doing?" McLean shouted.
"You need to get up Commander!"
"Why?!" McLean shouted back as he yanked his arm back.
"One of the Romulan diplomats has been murdered and the Admiral has asked all senior staff members to report to the bridge."
"I don't belong on the bridge." McLean barked back.
"I don't care. I have my orders and now you have yours. So GET UP!"
"Leave me be woman!" McLean fired back before again closing his eyes to get back to sleep.
"Fine, have it your way." She said as she began to go through her medical kit. Quickly she pulled out a hypo spray, pushed a few buttons and then quickly pressed the hypo spray against McLean's neck. The injection went in just as quickly as she pressed the hypo spray to McLean neck, and the next thing McLean knew, he was awake with a splitting headache.
"Oh..." McLean grumbled, "Man, that's smarts."
"Your head hurt?" She asked in a kind voice.
"Yes." McLean answered with both hands pressing against his skull.
"Good," She said as she stood up, "Go, report to the bridge and then if you're in a better mood come back and I will get a rid of your hangover." She finished as she extended her hand down for McLean to take.
"Fair enough." McLean said as he took the crewman's hand.
Before he knew it he was back on his feet, his head pounding with each beat of his heart. It didn't take long for the unknown medical nurse to notice McLean's constant pain as he walked with one hand pressed up against his forehead. Her sympathy finally got the best of her.
"Hold on." She said, placing her medical kit once again on the floor.
McLean listened this time with out saying a word. The nurse punched up another hypo spray and pressed it up to McLean's neck, "You should thank me. I'm only giving you this because I know you are going to see the Admiral. What kinda of nurse would I be if I let you into his presence in your condition." She said as she injected the medication.
The injection hit home quickly. With in seconds the pain was gone, and he felt like a million bucks again, "Thank you." McLean said just before the two went their separate ways.
The doors of the turbo lift slid shut leaving McLean all by himself. He took a deep breath, straighted his uniform and called out, "Bridge."
With in seconds he was on the bridge, and as he stepped off he stepped into a chaotic scene. Bridge officers scrambled about in a hurried frenzy, McLean instantly felt out of place. No hum of the warp core to sooth his nerves, just the sounds of people talking at a machine gun pace.
"Oh brother..."

As soon as mc7 had put on his uniform he was out the door and heading towards the crime scene. It was obvious the news hadn't spread around the ship yet, as the crewmen he passed only gave him the customary nod as they said hello, rather than a look of shock and fear which he would have expected if news that a murder had just happened aboard ship was doing the rounds. When he approached the VIP Quarters, which had until very recently been the Romulan delegation leaders, he seen that a small crowd had began to form by the entrance.
Carl, situation report please.
As the first officer quickly brought the Admiral up to speed, the rage in the Romulan officer who was among the group's face rose steadily. Just as Torek was finishing his report, the Romulan began his interpretation of the situation.
I want that officer of yours in your brig and this ship to set a course to the nearest Romulan station where you will then transfer her to our custody so that justice may be served.
Given the situation mc7 would allow the Romulan officer considerably more lee-way with how he spoke to both himself, and the rest of the crew, but there was only so much mc7 would tolerate.
And that was not a request.
And with the Romulan's last comment, the lee-way had just ran out.
Indicating to the next set of quarters, which were currently empty, the Admiral asked the Romulan to step inside, along with Carl. Once the doors had closed, only then did mc7 deign the Romulan's demand with a response.
Keeping his face completely calm and neutral, mc7 delivered his reply in a deadpan tone.
I can appreciate that this is a very distressing situation for you, but I must make one thing clear. This is my ship, and I do not take orders from anyone outside of my chain of command, be they a representative of my Government or any other. If we were aboard a Romulan ship and I had addressed it's commander n such a tone, I would have been completely out of line, a fact I'm sure you are now pondering. I will now ask two things of you, and I would like you to think about your responses before giving me them.
Firstly, I need you to follow the chain of command which exists on this ship, and treat my officers with respect. This means I do not want to see you shouting at anyone in an open corridor. If you have a difference of opinion, that is fine, but make sure you express it in an appropriate way, for example, the way I am handling this situation.
Secondly, I need your officers cooperation if we are going to uncover what has happened here. If you cannot guarantee me that, then I will be forced to set in motion a chain of events which once started will be all but impossible to stop. They could spiral out of control very quickly, and I think we both know that a situation like that is one that both our people's could do without.
I am asking those two things of you, if the answer to either of them is no, then we will immediately set course for the nearest Romulan base where we will offload you and your delegation and then return to Federation space. And Lt Isis will be returning with us. So Sub Commander, should I contact my helmsman?
The Romulan officer looked almost shell shocked after what should have been delivered as a lambasting was put across almost as if it was one old friend giving another some advice about a trivial matter. After a moment or two, six words passed over the Romulan's lips which changed the entire nature of the Raven's mission.
That will not be necessary, Admiral.

As the three men left the room, Security had cleared the corridor. Commander Jared had instructed his staff to keep it off limits to all but authorized personnel.
Subcommander Yevin, now ranking Officer among the Romulan delegation, walked slowly past the room containing the body, then, as he entered the next room he stared at both Mc7 and Carl for a long long moment.
"He's not going to sit by quietly for this." Carl said, matter-of-factly.
"No .. No he isn't ...." replied Mc, "Have Reman post extra security .. If the Romulans leave their quarters I want two Officers with 'each' of them .. Cancel their clearance codes too .. The last thing we need is for them to take matters into their own hands using the Raven herself."
"Aye Sir .. I will also have E'liana move the body to the morgue .. What about Lieutenant Isis .. Will you want to speak to her now ?"
"She's confined to her quarters ?" the Admiral asked.
"Yes."
"We will have to keep it that way for now .. I'd rather the Romulans not see her roaming the ship freely after their accusation .. We will talk to her later."
"Understood." said Carl.
Torek's Comms badge beeped.
=^= Lieutenant Isis to Commander Torek =^=
"I'll leave this to you Carl." said Mc shrugging, "I'll be in my ready room .. I need to inform Star Fleet of the situation."
The XO sighed then tapped his badge ..
=^= Torek =^=
=^= Commander .. I have just been informed by a 'guard' no less .. That I am confined to quarters .. What has been goi ........ =^=
=^= Lieutenant =^= Carl interrupted, =^= There has been an 'incident' .. Commander Tovan was murdered a short time ago and we ........ =^=
=^= What's 'THAT' got to do with ME !=^= demanded Isis.
=^= If you will let me finish Lieutenant .. After your 'accusation' earlier .. The Romulans think you are to blame .. We .. I felt it prudent to confine you to at least 'show' we are doing as requested .. Sit tight Janine .. We will be with you shortly =^=

OCC: I guess somebody needs to get this ship a rocking again.
McLean stood on the bridge of the Raven and watched the busy bodies rush about in a frantic pace. He knew something was going on but he really couldn’t put his finger on it. The one thing for sure was that he needed to thank that nice medical officer for being kind enough to give him that hypospray.
“Sir, can I help you?” Ask a busy looking bridge crewman.
“No, I’m just fine.” McLean snapped back.
He knew the bridge crewmembers were mighty protective of their space; no need for an engineer to be running around freely unless there was some sort of life and death problem that needed instant fixing.
Where the hell are all the senior staff members? McLean thought as he walked over to a nearby OPS station. With a few keystrokes McLean accessed the COM badge signals for Commander Torek.
“McLean to Commander Torek.” McLean called out after tapping his COM badge.
“Go ahead Commander.” McLean heard the reply.
“Why did you have me called to the bridge?” McLean asked.
“I didn’t.”
“Somebody did, because I was woken up by a rather pretty medical officer and told to rush right to the bridge.” McLean said.
“Commander I wish I could help you but I have more important things to deal with right now. Torek out.” With that the signal was closed and McLean was left scratching his head on the bridge.
“Ensign Lowz to Commander McLean.” McLean was surprised to get a call this late at night.
“What is it Lowz?” McLean said with a grumble.
“Sorry to be bothering you sir, but I thought you should know…”
“Know what?”
“Well sir, we can’t seem to locate one of our plasma torches. I was going through our tools sets as you requested and one of them is missing.” Lowz replied.
“What’s the matter with that? Did you activate the tools auto locate function?”
“Yes sir, that’s what’s strange. It’s no longer on the ship, or at least the computer thinks it’s no longer on the ship.”
McLean stopped what he was doing to think. He couldn’t remember if he had used the tool or if maybe somebody might have left it back at the Starbase, but at the moment it didn’t seem to be that high of a priority.
“Sir?” Lowz asked breaking McLean form his thoughts.
“Just,” McLean started and then rubbed the side of his temples, “I’ll figure it out when I come back on duty.” McLean finished.
“Commander Torek told me that I needed to report anything suspicious and I think this is rather suspicious.”
“Why did he tell you to report anything suspicious?” McLean asked as his curiosity was starting to be aroused.
“Don’t know. He just contacted all the departments and said the same thing, no explanation.”
“Alright, thanks Lowz. McLean out.” McLean said as he stood over the OPS station looking down at the same report Lowz was just talking about, “What the hell is going on?”

The Admiral sat in his office. He was trying, with little success at the moment, due to the subject matter, to formulate a report for Starbase Bellicose, on the death of the Romulan Commander .. =^= Bridge to Captain =^= Mc sighed, he was certain he'd left instructions not to be disturbed .. =^= What is it Bridge ? =^= =^= Sir .. The USS Forrestal is approaching our location .. They are requesting we slow to impu ........=^= =^= Have Commander Torek to handle it please .. I'm not to be disturbed =^= Carl had just finished a rather 'strange' conversation with the Chief Engineer, when his Comms badge beeped again. This time though, it was Commander Jared. =^= Go ahead Reman =^= said Carl =^= The USS Forrestal is approaching us .. They are requesting we to drop out of warp and rendezvous .. They say it's important =^= Carl frowned, it would have to be important. the Forrestal wasn't due to leave Bellicose for several day's, something must have gone on for them to chase us ... =^= Drop to impulse .. I'm on my way to the Bridge =^= ~~~~~~~~~~As he stepped out of the turbo-lift, he could see the Galaxy Class Forrestal, as she gently slid into formation less than five hundred meters off the Raven's port .. "Sir .. Forrestal's Captain is on Comms." said the duty Opps Officer. "Open the channel." Torek ordered. On screen, The white-haired, distinguished image of the USS forrestal's Captain, came into view .. =^= Commander Torek .. Good to see you again .. I'm sorry but this isn't a social visit .. Where is your Captain ? =^= =^= Good to .. See you .. Sir .. The Admiral is busy at the moment .. You could beam over to speak to him =^= =^= I'm beaming an Ensign Marko Ramius .. He's your new Operations Chief .. I need you to have Commander Zoarial beamed to the Forrestal .. I'm going to be leaving in one hour .. We need him over here by that time =^= =^= Sir ..... I'm not sure if i ca ......... =^= =^= Carl .. Transfer this comm to Admiral Mc7 please .. Sorry to be abrupt .. But we simply don't have time =^= Carl did as he was told, then ordered Zoarial to be ready to leave the ship within the hour .. Thirty seconds later, Mc entered the Bridge, apparently on his way to the turbo-lift ... "Commander .. I'm beaming over to the Forrestal to brief Captain Johnson on our current situation .. I'll be back within the hour .. Have Commander Zoarial over there before then .. Oh .. There's an Ensign Ramius coming aboard .. Make him welcome .. You have the ship Carl ......." With that, Mc entered the lift and headed to the transporter room ... Leaving both Carl, and the Bridge crew a little puzzled ... "Sir ..." said Jared, "Transporter room two informs us that Ensign Ramius is aboard." "Thankyou .. Have him brought to the Observation lounge." ordered Carl, still looking at the turbo-lift doors .......... < tag : Mc / Ramius > Welcome aboard Ensign Ramius

Ensign Marko Ramius awaited anxiously to board the USS Raven. Having served on the USS Forrestal for only a short time he was not as attached to it and was looking forward to the exciting opportunity which awaited him on the Raven. Ensign Reyes, looked at Marko for the signal to beam him to the Raven.
“Beam me aboard” Marko instructed
Then within the blink of an eye he was aboard the Raven, he was still getting used to being beamed everywhere it left Marko with a strange sensation in his stomach. He always worried about what could go wrong and if his organs could be scrambled… he knew the transporter was perfectly safe but it didn’t stop him worrying. Marko was greeted by a security officer who was to escort him to the Observation Lounge where he would meet the Commander Torak.
“Okay then, lead the way”
They headed down the corridor to the nearest turbo lift to the Observation Lounge. Marko exchanged pleasantries with the security officer but still didn’t know his name.
“Sorry, I don’t think I caught your name…”
“Roberts” He replied rather abruptly.
“So what is Commander Torek like?” Marko asked inquisitively.
“He is a good officer”
They then entered the turbo lift.
“Observation lounge” barked Roberts
Marko had deduced that this security officer had a long night and was not in the mood for conversation. They stood silently as the turbo lift wooshed to the Observation Lounge. The doors parted and Marko spotted the Commander gazing out of one of the windows at the USS Forrestal.
“Ensign Marko Ramius reporting for duty Sir” exclaimed Marko rather enthusiastically waiting for Commander Torek to turn round.

Mc7 had been at his desk in the ready room for 30 minutes so far, and had gone through 4 separate drafts of his preliminary report to Bellicose. He was not a man that minced words, but rather simply stated the facts and left any analysis to the end of reports, but this situation was different. Depending on the investigation which was now beginning to evolve, and it's findings, there could be a major interstellar incident. Just as he began the fifth draft of the report Carl opened a comm link to the Ready Room to let him know he was transferring Captain Johnson through to him.
Seconds later Ben Johnson's image appeared on the computer terminal sitting atop of the Admiral's desk.
Ben, this is a surprise. I'm very busy at the moment though, we've got a major incident developing aboard the Raven. Is this something that can wait?
I'm afraid not Admiral. We've had a Watcher Protocol initiation. Please beam over to the Forrestal to be breifed on the the situation.
Nodding, mc7 tapped a command the end the transmission and immediately started to head towards the door. When he passed onto the Bridge he told Carl he was beaming over the to Forrestal to breif Captain Johnson on the current situation on the Raven. Until he knew the circumstances of the Watcher Protocol initiation he could not divulge anything to any member of his crew, for fear of them being the reason for it's initiation.
During the turbolift ride, and then the short walk, to transporter room the very brief conversation with Ben Johnson kept playing over and over in his head. During his time with Starfleet Intelligence mc7 had only heard of 1 Watcher Protocol initiation, and that was the now infamous incident in Intelligence circles regarding Ambassador T'Pel who actually turned out to be Subcommander Selok, a high level Romulan spy inside the Federation Government. The thought of another incident such as that occurring now sent shivers down the spine of mc7.
Entering the transporter room he instructed the Cheif on duty to beam him directly to the ready room of the Forrestal, and stood atop of the transporter pad. As the beam enveloped him he felt the now accustomed tingle as the system began to break down his body into the sub atomic particles which would then be transported to the Starship currently at station keeping off the port bow of the Raven.
~~~35 minutes later~~~
As soon as the transporter beam reassembled his pattern on the pad, mc7 was off it and heading towards the Bridge. When he arrived he noticed that Carl was sitting in the Command chair, and he was finally beginning to look comfortable in being there.
Carl, my ready room now, please,
he said as he passed from the turbolift en route to the ready room, now with Carl in tow. When the both entered the smaller room mc7 instinctively sat behind his desk, and Carl took the seat opposite him. Mc7 began by asking Carl if he had ever heard of the Watcher Protocol, which he hadn't. This wasn't really a great surprise since Carl was fairly new in the Command track, so would still be learning new things every day. The Admiral explained to Carl that the Watcher Protocol was initiated when one of the branches of Starfleet, normally Intelligence had significant intelligence that there was a foreign agent working in a Federation facility or ship, and that one had been initiated with regards to the Raven at the moment.
Carl began to ask who the Protocol had been initiated in regards to, but stopped himself when he remembered Captain Johnson's order to have Zoarial transport over to the Forrestal. To say Carl was surprised by what he was being told was an understatement, but also given the nature of the situation, there wasn't really any room for maneuvering with how they approached it.
Thirty minutes later the Raven was a different ship. It was now without one of it's most experienced officers, but given what the CO and XO now knew, they had to wonder if it was such a loss.
Taking his customary seat in the central Command chair mc7 checked all departments status reports.
Ok people, we've got a murderer on board the Raven. Let's find them.
Waiting in the Observation Lounge, Carl looked at the Forrestal. She was a Galaxy Class Starship, looking every inch the business .. 'But then, so did the Raven herself' he thought wryly ...
The door behind him opened, someone spoke to him, but it took a second or two for Torek to turn ..
"Ensign Marko Ramius .. Reporting for duty Sir." the newcomer said, enthusiastically.
"Sorry Ensign .. Commander Carl Torek .. Executive Officer .. I was just taking a look at the Forrestal." Carl said, moving toward the man and holding out his hand, "Good to finally have an Operations Chief finally." Marko took the offered hand and shook, handing Carl a PADD with his service record and transfer orders ...
"Take a seat Ensign .. I'll just glance through this for the moment." Torek said, moving to the large screen at the end of the table, he activated it, "We will have to go through the 'official' Captains welcome when we have the time .. What have you heard about our current .. Situation ?"
"You have had a .. Death on board Sir .. At the moment thats all I know." said Ramius, sitting forward in his seat.
"Yes .. Yes we have .. One of the Romulan delegation .. Unfortunately ... I'm sorry to have to throw you in at the deep end but ....." Carl said as he brought up all the current information on the screen for the Opps Chief to look at, "..... I need you to go through what we have so far .. Check logs for anyone who could have had access to the corridor .. Transporter logs .. Door access logs .. Anything you can think of OK .. We need to get on top of this before the Romulans arrive to take their Commander off our hands."
"I'll do all I can Sir." said Ramius, standing and moving to the screen.
"Computer." Carl said, "Log Ensign Marko Ramius as Active .. Position Chief Operations Officer .. Effective immediately .. Authorization - Torek-Alpha-Two-Two-Gamma ..."
"Activation logged .. Ensign Ramius .. Chief Operations Officer." said the ship's computer.
"I'll be on the Bridge .. Keep me informed .. Oh .. Welcome aboard the Raven." Carl said, with a wry grin as he left Ramius alone .. Marko didn't waste any time, he downloaded the information to a fresh PADD, then headed out of the Observation Lounge .. His first day on the Raven was going to be one of his busiest !
~~~~~~~~~~
On the Bridge, Torek was about to start on the ships reports when Admiral Mc7 of 9 left the turbo-lift, heading for his office ...
"Carl .. My Ready room now .. Please." ..... Carl dropped the PADD, then silently followed his Commanding Officer ...
Thirty minutes later, after the Captain had divulged several pieces of confidential information, Carl was back on the Bridge .. but it seemed 'different' somehow .. As he sat down he looked at the Helm station, a young duty officer now sat there .. Zoarial was already aboard the Forrestal, on his way back to Starbase Bellicose .. As Carl picked up a PADD containing reports for his attention, he wondered briefly why the Commander's departure didn't surprise him 'that' much ..........

Ensign Ramius left the Observation Lounge in a hurry he’d been given his first task and he was going to do it well to attempt to impress his new Commander. Having not met the Captain, Ramius wondered what he would be like. Then decided he would make his way to his quarters to get settled in and begin his work before heading to the Bridge. The thing was he wasn’t sure where his quarters were, however now that he had clearance he would just ask the Computer.
“Computer, Where are the quarters of Ensign Marko Ramius?” Marko exclaimed
“Deck 3” The computer replied
So with that Marko headed for his quarters, opting for the turbo-lift. Once on deck 3 he proceeded to get a little lost, so used his PADD to get him the rest of the way. Once in his quarters Marko collapsed on the bed, his quarters were a similar size to those he had aboard the USS Forrestral. He was impressed, then after a moment he stood up and decided to make his way to his station on the bridge.
Once aboard he noticed busy officers moving from side to side and Marko did not want to disturb anyone so he approached his station and started to review the department reports and the logs for anything suspicious or which could be connected to the Romulan Commander’s death. Commander Torek was not on the bridge and nor was the Captain, this struck Marko as odd but he continued with his work.
He worked on personnel first, checking all those with access to the corridor on Deck 2 where the Romulan delegation where placed in the VIP quarters. The list was lengthy with no less than 50 names but he kept it on his screen for the moment. The list included the officers of the Raven. Ramius then went through the door access logs and found the door access to the Romulan Commander’s room had been activated but from the inside not the outside.
This seemed odd to Ramius but he continued to delve deeper, searching through the computer’s time logs of where each crew member was. There were a couple of anomalous signatures against some of the logs which Ramius was unsure of.
Then he noticed that the ship’s CSO, J.C. Isis was on Deck 2 at the same time as the door had opened. However, Marko knew this proved Isis was there but would report it to Commander Torek in due course. Marko also noticed a report from Engineering about a missing plasma torch, could this be related to the incident Marko was unsure but firstly he would notify Commander Torek about Isis.
Marko tapped his COM Badge “Ramius to Commander Torek”
“I’m in a meeting with the Captain.” Replied Torek
Marko said “Its J.C. Isis, the Chief Science Officer she was on Deck 2 when the Commander’s door was logged as being opened. It may be a coincidence but I felt it was worth your attention.”
“Thank you Ensign, I’ll deal with it once I am finished in my meeting.” As Torek ended the COM.
Marko then decided to follow up the missing Plasma Torch, Marko using his COM contacted engineering. “Ramius to Engineering”
“Engineering, Ensign Lowz here”
“Ensign, this is Ramius the new Chief Operations Officer, how is the investigation to find the missing Plasma Torch going?”
“Chief Engineer, Commander McLean is dealing with the investigation” Lowz answered
“Could you have Commander McLean forward his report on the matter to me please, Thank you Ensign.” Marko ended the COM
Marko continued reviewing the ship’s systems and reports and awaited further information from Engineering on the missing plasma torch. Whilst also preparing his report for Commander Torek.

McLean stepped back into Main Engineering and for the first time in a long time, it was not a site for sore eyes for the Chief Engineer. Like clock work Lowz was right by his side, leaving McLean with only a minor personal space.
“Sir, Ensign Ramius wants you to send the report on the missing plasma torch to him as soon as possible” Lowz said at a machine gun pace.
McLean caught only a few words because his hangover was starting to come back. He needed to re-hydrate or get another hypospray before he killed somebody.
“Slow down, for the love of God slow down.” McLean said bring his hand up to Lowz face, “Now who asked for what?”
“Ensign…Ramius…asked…for…the…report…on…the…missing…plasma…torch.” Lowz said slowly in a lower decibel level.
McLean had to stop and keep himself from getting on the young ensign. He calmly took a deep breath and said, “Who’s Ramius?”
“The new Chief Operations Officer, he just arrived from the USS Forrestal.” Lowz again said at a rapid pace.
“You’re doing it again.” McLean grumbled, “Now we have a hot shot OPS officer back onboard. Where is Lt. Benson?”
“He’s trying to locate the missing torch as we speak sir.” Lowz said in a more calm tone of voice.
“Thank you Lowz,” McLean said as he pointed to an empty console, “Get out of here.”
“Yes sir, thank you sir.”
McLean walked quickly to his small office and threw open the door. He reached underneath his small desk to where his Scotch bottle normally was but instead pulled out a hypospray and an instruction card. The card read the proper directions for pain medication to relieve headaches and more importantly, hangovers.
The Chief Engineer quickly punched in the correct combination before pushing the hypospray to his neck and giving himself the injection. McLean took a few deep breaths and suddenly the pain was gone. Like an old pro he stuffed the hypospray back underneath his desk, clearly this wasn’t the first time he had done this before. Doctors ask too many questions, McLean thought as he closed the small hiding space.
“Lt. Benson, this is Commander McLean.” McLean said quickly after he tapped his COM badge, “Please report to my office ASAP.”
“Right away sir.” Replied Benson.
McLean left his office door open but sat at his desk with his boots up on the desk. With in a few minutes Benson came knocking.
“You wanted to see me sir?” Benson said in his typical indecisive tone.
“Yes,” McLean replied, taking on a more formal posture, “I wanted to know if you found that plasma torch.”
“Not yet sir.” Benson said almost gulping in fear in the process.
Benson could see the frustration growing on the Chief Engineers face. McLean wasn’t upset at his engineers, rather he was upset at the fact that a small tool had gone missing and with all the advanced technology on this ship nobody could seem to locate this item.
“Keep looking, let me know when you find it.” McLean said.
“Of course sir.” Benson said as he scurried out of McLean’s site.
Pushing stacks of PADDs aside, McLean began to access some classified logs that registered even the more minute change in power levels. McLean had hoped that whom ever had taken the tool would use it; in fact he counted on it.
“Computer,” McLean said, “Run a diagnostic using my console and codes on all ships sensors.”
Please specify parameters.
“Look for any and all changes in level of power and of ships resistance.”
The computer chimed as it always had. McLean sat back in his chair and kicked his feet back up on his desk. He had only one thing to do left.
“McLean to Ensign Ramius.”
“Ensign Ramius here sir.”
“You’ll get your precious report when I’m done. McLean out.” McLean said in somewhat of a commanding tone as he closed the channel.
Scan complete
“Display the results on my console.” McLean said.
Looking down at the console’s screen McLean began to pour over the mass amount of data that stood before him. It showed minute by minute in line graph form each sensor and it’s accompanying power and resistance. McLean quickly scrolled across until he reached the time of the party and that’s when something stuck out to him.
“Now where getting somewhere.” McLean said with a smile.

E’Liana stalked her way back to Sickbay after her encounter with the Romulan and tried to calm down. She understood that he was grieving, but the idiot was just being far too…Romulan…for her taste. It didn’t help that Torek seemed to be following them around like an innocent dog. ~Kahless, they are more trouble than they are worth!~ she thought angrily to herself, wishing that the sickbay doors wouldn’t open automatically so that she could kick something and not break the ship’s engineering.
Just as she made her way into her office, she saw a note by Torek on her computer terminal to place the body in the morgue. Knowing that there would be various security precautions in place, she decided it would be far easier to ask Jared to perform a site to site transport.
“BeTor to Jared”
“Jared here”
“I need you to do a site to site transport of the body for me from where it is to the morgue. I can then seal it inside one of the containment fields to prevent any more evidence from decomposing.”
“Acknowledged”
“Thanks. Oh, and please don’t touch anything else. The room is still a crime scene”
A rather annoyed Jared responded. “…of course. Jared out.”
E’Liana sighed. She would never get the hang of him.
~*~
A few moments later she wandered into the morgue which was attached to sickbay – a rather morbid association she had always thought. She then set the computer to alert her when a patient came in – and locked the door behind her. ~The last thing I need right now is some hapless Ensign fainting in the doorway at the sight of a dead Romulan…~
As the shimmer of the transporter caught her eye, E’Liana put on the disposable gloves and a cover over her jacket. She hoped this wasn’t going to get messy.
Looking down at the body she noticed how pale he already was and realised just how much she hated this part of her job.
She told the computer to start recording as she began a commentary on her findings to add to her report for the Admiral.
“The patient has multiple contusions on his head, consistent with a blunt force trauma to the head. From the looks of it, it was one single blow that caused the haemorrhaging that seems to have caused his death. From the indent on his skull it looks like it was a blunt yet heavy object…but at this point it’s hard to specify any individual weapon. Interestingly, there are also bruises along his torso, with both the object in question and someone’s foot. This looks to have been done prior and post mortem, indicating an aggressive assault as there would be no reason to do this as the patient was already dead.”
She picked up a scanner. “From the looks of it, two of his ribs are broken, most likely from the kicks or the fall. Also one of the ribs has punctured his lung. Again, however, this is after death.”
She stopped the recording and looked at the man in front of her. She wondered why he hadn’t defended himself. From the angle of his injuries, it suggested that his assailant was smaller than him, but then again he had been attacked from behind. The Klingon in her flared up in anger…~how pathetic to kill someone when their back is turned, allowing them no chance at honour~ She shook her head. Post mortems always made her feel funny. She hated being alone in this room with…that.
Turning her head she noticed that the blood test had finished and looked over the results. What she found was rather surprising. She started recording:
“The blood test shows that the victim also had a poison in his system. However, I have not yet discovered which type. This is still confusing, as there seems to be little point in both a physical attack and poison…I suppose this means that we are either looking for a meticulous and methodical murderer or two…”
E’Liana signed off, hurriedly sending Mc7 her report and closing the body away. She needed to have a shower. Looking at the chronometer she noticed that Joy would be starting her shift in ten minutes. Deciding to leave sickbay in the capable hands of the EMH until Joy came, she went to have a shower. She suddenly felt the need to get clean…
OOC: Sorry it took so long, hope this is ok guys!

He had done everything possible not to be seen during his movement through the ship ... Though the actual distance between his starting point, and his objective was relatively small, it had still taken him almost two hours to get this far ...
At each junction, and each Jefferies tube, he'd reprogrammed the sensors so they never detected his presence .. Now he was so close .. Glancing around the corner, he could see the man. He was standing less than five meters away, with his back to him .. Checking that he was safe, he stepped into the corridor. Now, in full view if the man turned, he began to close the distance between them, very very slowly, risking a glance behind him every other step ..
At only one meter away fro the man, he stopped ... He slowly raised his weapon and aimed it at the mans head. It was so close, it almost touched his hair .. Without hesitation, he pulled the trigger ... The projectile from the gas-powered weapon bored a neat hole into the security officers' skull, killing him instantly ...
Without giving the body at his feet another thought, he turned his attention to the panel before him ...
Inside the room .. Lieutenant Isis frowned for a second, before deciding she had imagined the thud outside her door ! ...
After several minutes, he was through .. The door's log would now show that it had opened several times more than it actually had .. Once moments before the murder of Tovan, then again, several moments after ...
Happy with his work, he picked up the body of the Security Officer, checking the wall and floor were clear of blood, he headed back to the Jefferies tube .. With a struggle, he got the guard and himself inside .. It was unlikely anyone would need to enter the area he'd picked out. It contained no vital systems, and had already been searched for the missing plasma torch. The body would remain undetected for some time, or at least until he was missed and another search carried out .. 'But then again, that wouldn't be a problem either' he thought with a wry grin ...
With a self-satisfied grin, he headed away from the area. Re-entering his quarters moments later, still unseen .. The log would show that his door hadn't opened for almost two hours ..........

McLean crawled as quickly as he could in the confined space of the Jeffries Tube. He held his trusty tricorder in his left hand, extended out in front of his body. McLean listened to the tell tale beeps and chirps the tricorder made when he was close to what it was he was tracking. In this case some higher than normal resistance readings in the ships wiring.
McLean crawled for another five feet when suddenly the tricorder started to scream at him. The Chief Engineer wiped the sweat from his brow with his right arm and waved the tricorder back and forth until he found specifically his spot.
“There she is,” McLean said to himself as the tricorder hollered at a small panel to his right, “Now what do we have here?”
Closing the tricorder, McLean poked his nails into the panel and it come off with little effort. Behind the panel was a maze of glowing wires. At first glance everything appeared to be in order but just as McLean was going to put the cover back on he spotted it.
“What the hell?”
It was a small black device, square in form with out any apparent features on it. From the device was two ports going in and two ports going out, each port had wires running into them and in the other case out of them.
McLean flipped open his tricorder and began to scan the device but it showed nothing that could tip him off as to what it actually was.
“McLean to Engineering.” McLean said into the open COM.
“Go ahead Commander.” Replied Benson.
“Can you get a fix on my current location?” McLean asked and then waited for the response.
After a few moments of just waiting Benson replied, “No sir, I cannot read your bio signs anywhere on the ship.”
“All right,” McLean said as he grabbed a firm hold on the input wires into the device, “How about now?” He said as he pulled the two input wires.
“Yes sir, I see you clearly now.” Benson asked.
“Interesting.” McLean said while he finished unhooking the black device and reconnecting the normal wiring system of the ship.
“Sir,” Benson added, “I just found our missing plasma torch.”
“Where was it?” McLean asked.
“It’s in your location, just a few meters in front of you.”
“Send somebody down to get it, I need to see the Admiral.” McLean said crawling backwards out of the Jeffries Tube.

McLean stood quietly in the Admirals ready room as the Admiral inspected the small black device that McLean had just found.
“What is it?” Admiral Mc7 asked as he looked over the small black device that McLean had handed him.
“I can’t say for sure exactly,” McLean, said trying to sound more sure of himself, “What I can tell you is that it was routed into our ships sensors. I wanted to inform you of the situation before I took it down and started to analysis it.”
“How did you end up finding it?” Asked Mc7 of 9.
“Well sir, the device was causing abnormal resistance in our ships systems, it wasn’t a lot but it was enough to cause me to take a look.” McLean replied.
Admiral Mc7 or 9 looked down at the device with interest and then handed it back to McLean who took it and placed it back into his pants cargo pockets.
“If there are more of these devices on my ship I want them found.”
“Of course sir.” McLean replied.
“Keep me posted Commander.” Mc7 said.
“I will sir.” McLean replied and then left the Admirals Ready Room.

So far, Isis's confinement had led to few problems. She had fortunately stopped complaining about it fairly soon into the proceedure. Now the greatest problem was some sort of blocking device that had been placed into some of the Raven's systems. Of course it was partly a security issue, but the Jefferies tubes were not really places that the security teams were at all functional or useful so McLean was rightly dealing with the problems. 'Try to pick one up without touching it' Jared had asked him at one point. 'If we can fingerprint it then we might be able to find out who did it.' Fingerprints from around the Romulan had so far yielded nothing. They were there, but did not match anyone on the ship. Likewise DNA analysis had not lead to a good description; the only blood present was Romulan and they tended towards homogeneity and the Federation did not have a complete map of Romulan DNA.
Jared decided to pay a visit to Isis's guards to check her status. After all, he had not much else to occupy his mind that actually would lead anywhere. Being new to the ship, Jared nearly walked right by her quarters. There should be two guards there... He waited a minute, and sure enough, a guard turned up 'Why weren't you here?' 'I had to relieve myself' 'So where's the other one?' The guard's eyes opened 'He was here' 'Go and find two other guards, then relieve yourself of duty' Jared snapped at the man Jared checked the door's logs, apparently Isis hadn't opened the door. He opened it and touched the forcefield that was still in place. 'What?' Isis demanded, seeing him do this. 'Nothing' he replied and let the door close again. Two guards turned up to take over and Jared left to tell Mc7 what had happened. No point scaring people after all.
At the bridge, he found Mc7 in his ready room. 'We have a missing man down at Isis's quarters. Isis herself is still there' <Mc7>
