Carl had showered and eaten, he'd also put on a clean uniform, after all the crawling and climbing he'd done, the other was in less than pristine condition. He headed back up to the Bridge ...
Stepping out of the turbo lift, Torek noticed at once that they were again at high warp. Seeing the Helm Officer with a PADD in his hand he walked over...
"Commander." he said, looking at the PADD, "No problems with helm are there ?"
"No Lieutenant .. We are on course for New London as ordered."
"Have you been back at the helm since returning from assisting Commander McLean ?" Carl asked.
"Yes .. But i am due to be relieved shortly, so i thought i may as well finish off my shift up here. Besides ..." he said, grinning and waving the PADD, "I'm keeping myself busy."
"So i see." replied Carl, smiling as he moved over to his own station ... He began checking through the numerous communique' and requests sent up from various departments during the search for the intruders ... 'Nothing urgent' he thought, then began signing-off on the 'paperwork'...
As he went through his list he noticed that Engineering had monitored a very slight fluctuation in the left dorsal shielding close to the warp nacelle. After running a level one diagnostic they had put it down to a power serge earlier and had signed the 'glitch' off as explained .. Frowning, Carl read through the report a second time before excepting Engineering's explanation and moving on to the next report ..........

"Orange Alert! Orange Alert!"
"What the hell is a Orange Alert?" moaned Isis.
"An Orange Alert is an alert setting created for spacial turbulence. The ship opens its armour-plating bays and puts out a force-shield that cuts through any material encountered in it's path."
"So you have put up shields that cut through whatever it meets?"
"Yes."
"And where are we landed?"
"We have landed on the nacelles of the U.S.S. Raven-A."
"And what is wrong with that?"
"Nothing."
Isis looked at the displays.
"Oh Tsort!"
OOC: i have put these last few posts up so that i can concentraite on fcolon for a bit. i have plans for him. if you want to find out what, i will tell everyone later.

Torek had spent well over an hour going through his list of reports, but the 'nagging' feeling he'd got earlier, concerning the 'glitch' Engineering had reported, was still on his mind ..
Firstly though, he decided to check on the Raven's progress, not wanting to disturb the engrossed Zoarial, who, while obviously keeping a weary eye on his readout's, was studying the PADD he still had hold of, intently.. So Torek decided to check the readouts from his own station.. Apart from the fact they were currently passing through a meteor cloud, more a dust cloud than solid meteor's actually, it was nothing the Raven's shielding couldn't easily cope with. In fact, Carl noticed, Ra'wl' had already scanned the cloud at long range, and determined that extending the forward shields for the duration of the passage through, was more than adequate. He'd ordered the computer to do so but otherwise ignore the cloud.
Torek couldn't fail to be impressed, because as far as he was aware, Zoarial had managed this without seemingly moving his attention from the PADD he 'still' held.
On impulse, Carl decided to contact sick bay and check on how the young prisoner was doing.. He tapped his Comms badge ..
=^= Torek to Doctor BeTor =^=
=^= BeTor .. What can i do for you Lieutenant ? =^=
=^= I was curious as to whether you or the Councellor had managed to gain any information from our young guest yet ? =^=
=^= Not a word Mr Torek.. Nothing of concequence anyway ... Was there any particular reason you are inquiring ? =^=
=^= No, just interested. She's got onto the ship for a reason. I'd like some idea of what information she may have ... Maybe a change of scenery would help her talk more freely =^=
=^= I wouldn't be too keen to make that suggestion to Commander Reynolds if i were you. I've the feeling our Exec' is .... Against the idea .... In fact, I think the Captain and he may be discussing it at length.. Was there anything else Lieutenant ? =^=
=^= No ... Thankyou Doct .... =^=
=^= Very well .. BeTor out =^=
Carl was, to say the least, confused at the almost abrupt ending to their conversation, but put it down to the fact that it was the situation they had found themselves in .. The Admiral was still missing, the only lead, if you could call it that, was New London Colony .... Glancing down at his display, he noticed that the same Engineering report was still on-screen .. Maybe he would ask Commander McLean about the 'glitch' when he had a moment ..........

"I have a very good reason for this, and if you don't trust me, then have her assigned to someone else. I think she might open up better if she felt like she had a friend instead of being locked up as a prisoner," Arya said hoping this would work. Commander Reynolds commented something.
"Look, I didn't ask for your rude comment, and I don't appreciate it. You can handle this, I was just doing my job. I am not wanted though, so if anyone feels they have to communicate with me face to face, I will be in my office. Good luck commander," she said, and left without another word about it.
Her office was quiet, and she laid down on the couch wishing she could roll back time. She felt like the time when she was on the base between missions had been a couple of centuries ago. Arya closed her eyes, and relaxed a little feeling like sleep was needed.
A few minutes later she opened her eyes and sighed knowing sleep wasn't going to come. Arya got up and went to her desk to work, even if it meant more reading.

=/\= The only person's care to whom the girl will be released to is the medical staff. I want them to run some tests on her and find out if she has been unwillingly coerced in any way. I will leave the administration of the drug or any form of treatment up to them. I know you are angry with her Commander, and you have every reason to be, but until we have tried the other avenues, I dont want to jump into things. Please escort the girl to Sickbay. Smith out. =/\=
Steve tapped his combadge to end the communication and returned to E'Liana. "I take it you heard that?" He asked, and she nodded. "I want the girl under your jurisdiction for now. Do what you must to obtain the information."
<Tag E'Liana>
"As for Arya...what you have told me is very serious indeed, and I will be having a talk with her to work out why she would do something like this. All I can do is apologise for the fact that you had to suspend one of your staff. I may be putting a brave face on it, but I am not happy."
<E'Liana....if you wish>
"Right, well I am going to go and see her....good luck with your 'patient' to be." Steve said, and turned to walk out of Sickbay.
Once outside, he waited for the doors to shut and leant against the bulkhead. He put his arm up and rested it and his head on the wall. He took a deep breath...feeling the anger rise within him. Without thinking, he punched out at the wall with all his might, and heard something snap. With a sharp pain coming from his hand, he knew that he had managed to break one of his fingers. He could have gone back into Sickbay to reset it, but he had a more important thing on his mind....his pain could wait.
Steve then walked up to the nearest wall panel and pressed the panel with his good hand. "Computer, please locate Commander Smith."
"Commander Smith is currently located just outside of Sickbay" Replied the computer. Steve looked around to see where Arya was, but there wasn't anyone there. He rolled his eyes. "Not ME, computer...the other one."
"Commander Steven Smith is located within her office." Came the emotionless response. "On the second attempt, thank you." Steve said, with a little laugh....then suddenly realised he wasnt in a laughing mood, and set off to find Arya.
It only took a few moments to traverse the ship to find her office, and once there Steve took a deep breath, readying himself for what would come next, and pressed the chime.

On U.S.S. Julii.:
Isis looked again at the screens around her.
"Take the ship off of the nacelle!"
"That action will put us of our current course for at-least five minutes." stated the computer.
"Just do it!"
The ship raised itself, just above the nacelle, and the Julii dropped out of the Raven's warp-field and shields.
On the bridge of the Raven:
The impact on the shields was bairly registered. The ship had to alter course only slightly, because a piece of hull, 1 mm thick x 12 m2, had dissapered suddenly. This was recorded as another "glitch".
Back on the Julii 5 minutes later:
Isis got up from the wreckage of her bed. She thought, I spent ages getting all the blankets in the right place.
"Computer, get us within a day's worth of warp 9 in front of the other ship please."
"That command is not recognised."
"I mean get us in front of the Raven, and stop when we get a full days travels worth of warp 9."
"This ship cannot exceed warp 8.4." the computer lied.
Isis was ready for this.
"I've seen the specs for this shuttle, and it can go faster than......" she prompted.
"S*d it." said the computer. "Your father said you weren't to go faster."
"Well go at warp 15 then. This is important."
"But......"
"I have sensor data on the Borg I need to give them to give to me."
"But......"
"The date is 02/09/2392."
"Ah. I see."
The ship huridly jumped into warp and momentarily lost it's cloak.
On the bridge of the Raven:
The unnoticed green flashing light went red and an alarm went off as an unrecognisable ship class went past at an impossibley high speed.
Back on the Julii:
Isis went to the main computer terminal and pressed some buttons.
"What are you doing?" she was asked.
"Im changing your personality to the standard 24th century version. You are getting too lippy!"
"OH FU......ZZZZZZZ......BRRRRRR......ZZZZZZZ......How may I be of assistance?"
"Keep the ship on its heading and stop at the loaded coordinates. Tell me when we get there."
"Beeb beeb beeb. Command understood."
Isis said to herself, "Im going for a shower and a drink."
"Beeb beeb beeb. Command not understood."
"Shut up!"
"Beeb beeb beeb. Command not understood."
"Oh yea Gods!"
(OOC: Next time on Star Trek: Isis......a cut 10 1/2 cm below her left collarbone......a noise......a scuttling sound......a scream.).
(OOC: My next post is going to have a larger version of it on another site. A slightly <_< >_> un-censored version that is! If you want to know what the address for the said other site is, you can ask me via P.M.! Hopefully it will be up tommorow!).

Carl had been concentrating on his work-load so much that he hadn't even noticed the next duty shift officers arriving. He 'felt', rather than noticed, someone stood by him so he looked up...
"Sorry Lieutenant." said the Ensign, "I didn't mean to disturb you.. Are you staying at Opps Sir ?"
"No." replied Carl "I won't be a moment then it's all yours." He cleared the screens ready for her to begin work, then he got up..
"There you go Ensign .. There's nothing pending, just routine checks. But keep an eye out for anything coming up from Engineering to do with the shields." he said.
"Is there a problem with them ?" she asked.
"No, no .. If fact i'm more than likely worrying for nothing ..Engineering had a fluctuation in one of the dorsal shields earlier. But they cleared it .. Just humor me ok ?" with that he smiled and began to leave the Bridge. He noticed that Zoarial had already gone, 'to find somewhere quiet to continue his game' Carl thought grinning.
He was still a little worried about the young female prisoner they had .. He decided to contact the Councellor before going off shift .. As both the Captain and the Exec' were not on the Bridge, Carl, as Second Officer had no issues with using one of their seat's while he contacted Arya. He sat down and pressed the Comms button beside the Captain's seat ...
In her office, Arya Smith was sat behind her desk working when the door chime activated ...
"Enter." she said.
The door opened and Commander Steven Smith entered.
=^= Torek to Councellor =^=
=^= Go ahead Lieutenant =^= Arya replied, motioning Steven to a chair in front of her desk.
=^= I wanted to speak to you about our prisoner ... Are you free at the moment ? =^=
Looking at Steven she replied ..
=^= No .. Sorry Lieutenant i've ... Appointments booked for the next few hours. But i can assure you that she is just fine =^=
=^= Ok .. Thankyou Commander .. Sorry to have disturbed you =^=
=^= No problem Lieutenant .. Arya out =^=
The comms link closed, Carl knew full well that they needed information from this girl. As time became an issue they would undoubtedly use 'other' methods, to get that information .. He sat for a few moments watching the stars flash by as the Raven arrowed towards her destination ..........

McLean had spent the better part of his shift sifting through internal sensor logs, running diagnostics and generally stressing out about what else might have been tampered with. He was happy to find out the device on the torpedoes seemed more of an ascetic device than an actual explosive one.
Reports had filtered down through the normal channels about the person they had arrested in connection with the tampering of the various systems. McLean wanted a face to face with the individual, but knew it was a matter for security rather than an angry, over worked and stressed out Chief Engineer.
“Working late sir?” McLean heard from behind him.
Turning to face the voice McLean found himself face to face with Lieutenant Benson. Benson was a young, slander built of a man; his pale appearance was the first thing everybody noticed about the man.
“As always Lieutenant, as always.” McLean replied in an exhausted tone.
‘Well try not to work too hard sir.” Benson said before turning to leave Main Engineering.
McLean, well past his last leg mumbled something that sounded like good night to Benson as he walked off. Facing the console in front of him McLean noticed his vision starting to go blurry on him. Shaking his head as if he was trying to shake his vision back to normal McLean decided it would be best to call it a night.
The night crew was making it’s second rounds, getting a young officers attention McLean instructed the engineer to make sure he kept a look out for anything out of the norm. The young officer eagerly accepted the Chief Engineers task.
Walking slowly McLean finally left Main Engineering and headed back to a place he could grab some shuteye, probably the crew lounge, McLean thought to himself.
He hated going back to his empty quarters, it just reminded him how much he missed his wife and kids who were still living back home on Earth. With in a matter of minutes McLean found himself standing in the doorway of the crew lounge. The lounge was dark and quiet, just as McLean had hoped it would be.
Strolling up to the replicator McLean found himself for the first time unsure as to what to order. Normal he would be placing an order for a black coffee, but he knew he needed the rest and coffee would just pep the Chief Engineer right back up.
“Hot chocolate with whip cream.” McLean ordered.
In a matter of moments the replicator had finished his order, picking up the cup of coco McLean noticed it wasn’t as hot as he had hoped. It didn’t matter really; he probably wasn’t going to finish the drink anyways.
Walking with his hot chocolate in hand McLean found the closest seat to the window. There were times McLean could remember just sitting and watching in pure awe as a starship streaked through out space. It was times like these that he marveled at the engineering achievements of man, the warp theory and its practical applications, and finally the elusive transwarp drive.
As he sat there sipping on his now lukewarm chocolate he heard the crew lounges doors slide open. Craning his neck he looked barely over the couch and saw the figure of a female officer walking through the doorway.
She walked past McLean in his sitting position and stood motionless as she too was stargazing. McLean sat wonder what he should do, say something or just wait until she left and maybe she didn’t notice he was sitting there. Thinking the second idea was a little weird; McLean adjusted his sitting position, which caused a slight noise.
The female officer jumped a bit as she was clearly started that somebody was in the room.
“I’m sorry, did I startle you?” McLean asked.
“Yes you did.” The female officer replied, holding his hands tightly against her stomach, “I didn’t think anybody else would be here.”
“Either did I.” McLean replied with a large smile, “Care to have a seat?”
“Oh no I can’t, I just came in to clear my head. I should get back on duty.” She replied.
“Alright.” McLean replied before watching the female officer leave the room.
The smell of her perfume lingered for almost a minute after she left. Closing his eyes McLean took two deep breaths through his nose. He imagined his wife, her eyes, her bright blue eyes.
Like a baby comfortable in his mothers arms McLean feel sound asleep.

"I want the girl under your jurisdiction for now. Do what you must to obtain the information." E’Liana nodded gravely. She didn’t much like the sound of that, but those were her orders. "As for Arya...what you have told me is very serious indeed, and I will be having a talk with her to work out why she would do something like this. All I can do is apologise for the fact that you had to suspend one of your staff. I may be putting a brave face on it, but I am not happy." E’Liana felt sorry for their temporary Captain, as she knew this was an awkward position for him to be in, but decided not to say anything in case he took it the wrong way, and so settled for a slight nod of her head. "Right, well I am going to go and see her....good luck with your 'patient' to be." he said, and turned to walk out of Sickbay. ~*~ The girl was now sedated in sickbay, and E’Liana had been left to deal with her. Joy was now off duty anad her other nurse-in-training was currently suspended, so it really was just her. Not including the security detail standing ominously outside and inside the door. She resisted the impulse to let the security guard sit down, knowing that she had been trained for this sort of thing. Looking down at the young girl, E’Liana grinned slightly to herself - she still had a rather insolent smirk on her face, even in her sleep - and suddenly felt that all this was wrong. She ignored these feelings, trying to bring her father’s temperament to the surface but was failing miserably and so decided to just get on with the examination… ~*~ “BeTor to Steven Smith, please respond.” “I have some rather…interesting news regarding our visitor, but it is rather sensitive information, so I would appreciate it if you could come to Sickbay.” <TAG Steven/Matt/Anyone! >

Matt was pleased, but a bit surprised that Steven would take his recommendation over that of his wife. Matt knew that Arya had done some questionable things before he came on board, but he didn't exactly know what that was.
As the guards approached the young girl she tried to struggle, but that soon ended when one of them injected her with a hypospray.
"I will never tell you anything never," the girl said before she stopped moving and fell asleep.
"Take her directly towards Doctor Betor and don't leave her unless she gives you a direct order," Matt instructed.
"Aye sir," the men said as they took the girl. They would not take the chance to transport her to sickbay because there was a chance that there could be something else embedded in her body.
As the door closed behind them, Matt realized that he was becoming obsessed with this. He was not adequately performing his duties as first officer and that would need to change. He would head towards the bridge and wait there until something important came up.

(OOC: or not as the case may be for my earlyer post)
Isis walked to the shower cubicle and selected the calm water setting.
"Computer lower light setting to level 4.5."
"Beeb beeb beeb."
She undressed, the faint light glistening off of her tattoos, and got in the shower, letting the water run over her, washing the stress away. She gave a sigh of contentment which quickly changes into a squeal of pain.
Basil had been hiding in the cubicle and had bitten her below the right collarbone, just on the end of a Feegle's nose. He scuttled off* into the conference room (converted into a very large bedroom) and went to find Sybil.
Isis finished in the shower, pressed her medicine hypospray to her neck, and used a device she had forgotten the name of on her bite.
She walked over to a picture of her boyfriend in the bedroom and smiled. It was hard for them to have a relationship, but she had heard a rumour that he was to be posted on Starbase Conquerer. The side of the frame was pressed, which made the whole pale spin around revealing a bottle of Romulan Ale which she had stolen from the Ferengi Marauder. She smiled again. S'reena would not like it is she found out that Isis had done this, which was why Isis had sent her a bottle.
Isis took a sip, gagged, then took a couple of gulps. She went over to the dresser, put the bottle down, and selected some bed clothes.
She was half dressed when she heard her tribbles chattering. She turned and saw three of them next to her model of 14th century horse armour. The third and smaller tribble was hiding behind Sybil. Isis could tell this one was female so she called it Polly.
Isis went over to the model, picked up the tribbles and put them on her bed. They hid themselves amoungst the models on Isis' bed-side tables. Basil hid himself in the Norse helmet, which now had the apperance of a very small, long bearded dwarf.
Isis picked up the model and stared in horror as four extra legs unfolded. She recognised the design. They couldn't be here could they?

Carl had lost track of time .. He had been going through a few thing's on a PADD he'd picked up since he'd been speaking to the Councellor about the girl .. He found it quite peaceful during the 'night' shift, with the reduced lighting to mimic a kind of 'twilight', he could work and watch the stars sail by on the view screen.. Behind him, the turbo lift doors opened but Carl didn't notice. He was studying the data on the PADD intently ...
"Good evening .... Captain."
The voice startled Torek and he almost jumped out of the seat he occupied. Standing, he was face to face with the Executive Officer, who seemed to be grinning at the 'joke' that almost put Torek in Sick bay.
"Sit down Lieutenant." said Commander Reynolds, happy for the fragment of light relief, "I didn't mean to startle you ... Any problems ?" he finished, nodding toward the PADD in Torek's hand.
"No, no Sir... I was just going over some data checks that need my signature .. I was just about to ge ......."
"Lieutenant ..." said the young Ensign at Opps, "You asked me to watch out for another one of those 'glitches' ....." she said.
"There's been another one ?" said Torek, standing and moving over to the Opps station.
"Very small Sir, but yes.. Engineering have logged it as the same issue as before, and have cleared it."
"Are we having problems with the shields Lieutenant ?" said Reynolds, who, un-noticed by Carl, had followed him to his station.
"No Sir." said Carl, frowning slightly, "A second 'glitch', a minute spike in the shield harmonics. Engineering cleared the first, and now this one too, as results of a power serge earlier."
"I can assume Commander McLean is fully aware of these .. glitches !" said the XO.
"Yes .. he signed-off on the clearances personally." replied Carl.
"OK .. Keep on monitoring this Carl.. If we get another spike, no matter 'how' small, I want Commander McLean to check it out fully. I think he's off-shift at the moment so no need to disturb him with this right now." the Exec' said, already taking his seat once again..
Carl was going to ask Matt about the girl, but turning to speak to him he saw that the Commander, now seated, had his chin on his clenched fist and was staring fixedly at the view screen ... Carl decided this may not be the best time to 'interrupt' him .. He headed over to the, at present, unused Science station to continue data checks he'd began earlier ..........

McLean awoke to a commotion starting in the crew lounge; he opened his eyes quickly and notices the scores of people starting to file into lounge. He didn’t recognize any of the engineering or security officers sitting casually in the room, Must be night shifts break, McLean thought as he sat up more straight in the long couch.
Looking around McLean’s eyes focused on the chronometer and to his surprise he had only been asleep for less than an hour. By the look of the Chief Engineer it looked like he needed much more sleep.
Getting to his feet, McLean decided it would be best to leave the busy lounge to seek more familiar surroundings. Stepping off the turbo lift McLean found himself wondering the halls near Engineering. He knew he didn’t want to head back into the engine room, but he also knew that he didn’t want to head to his quarters either. Before he knew what was going on the doors to Main Engineering slide open with their normal whisk and McLean was standing looking as raggedy as possible in the doorway.
“Sir, you look like crap.” Noted a passing Engineer.
“Thank you.” McLean said as he walked deeper into Engineering. He had his mind set on one location, his office.
Walking into his office McLean found a new pile of PADDs sat waiting for his approval. Rolling his eyes McLean sat down in his comfortable rolling chair and picked up the first PADD. It wasn’t anything more than the next duty schedule needing his approval before being sent up to Commander Reynolds. Tossing it aside McLean picked up the next PADD in the pile.
His eyes quickly scanned the PADD looking for anything that stood out. It took him a few times to read the PADD to it’s completion seeing as he was almost too tired to do anything but sleep.
“What’s that?” McLean said to himself as he looked over the two-recorded glitches. His vision went in and out of focus as he tried to concentrate on the PADD. Finally after a second he was able to stabilize his vision and look over the details and resolutions of the two glitches. Looking at the outcome, it read ‘Normal shield fluctuation caused by temporary warp field interference’. McLean shook his head as he agreed with the analysis and then quickly he checked the authorization of the analysis, and to almost his surprise he noticed he had signed off on it earlier in the day.
“Look at that.” McLean said amused by how out of it he was.
Closing the door to his office, McLean ordered the computer to darken the tint on his viewing glass to its maximum opacity. He then ordered the computer to play soft classical music while he moved from the comfortable rolling chair to the small couch he had just finished installing in the cramped office space.
“I need to start using up my leave time.” McLean said as he balled up on the small couch.

It had been a very silent few hours on the bridge of the USS Raven, which allowed her executive officer to think of the actions of his crew and himself. The crew under the circumstances had gone beyond the call of duty. He on the other hand didn't feel proud about the role he played.
He was still angry at the young women in sickbay, which in itself was strange. When it came to a person on person relationship Matt never held a grudge, not even with the people who tried to do him harm, but for some reason that had now changed. He could no longer see the good in everyone. On the Jefferson it had been so much easier, there he was a hundred percent sure about himself. On the Raven he had doubt, it was small, but it was still there.
These thoughts swam through his head all night which kept him from doing any real work, but luckily for him Carl was on the bridge. The young Lt. had come a real long way since he first came to the Raven. If Matt was half-Vulcan he would want to be like him.
Matt knew that it would be only a few hours until they reached there destination. There was a real chance that they would be able to find Admiral MC there. It had finally hit him that when they found the Admiral, his post as XO would come to an end. He would be an observer on the ship until they got back to base. Matt didn't know if he could deal without doing much for a couple of days, but he knew that he could live through it.
"Carl, has there been any other spike?" Matt asked as he got up from the center chair.
"No, nothing, though engineering and operations are constantly checking the systems," Carl responded.
"Good, is there anything else that you want to report?" Matt asked.
"Um...sir....do you know anything about the girl down in sickbay?" Carl asked.
It took Matt a while to answer, it was like he didn't exactly know what to say. Maybe it was that at the moment he didn't know anything at all. E'liana had briefed the Captain on something, but he had yet to report back to the bridge. Hopefully that was a good sign.
"No, I don't know anything," Matt responded looking at the OPS chief. Feeling as there was very little else to say, Matt made his way back to the chair and waited for the time to arrive.
The only thing that he didn't realize was that the time had already come.
"Approaching New London Colony." the computer announced. Matt was surprised as he turned to Carl for an explanation, but he got none. Matt's preoccupation with his thoughts must have taken more time than he realized.
"Captain and senior staff please report to the bridge, we have arrived at New London Colony," Matt ordered into the comm," Carl begin scans immediately, look for a borg bio signature."

Torek began to configure the Science Station to scan the surface of New London. He knew that the scan would actually penetrate the surface for many meters, and although this would corrupt the readings slightly, it would still pick up a solitary Borg Bio-signature.
He signaled the junior Science Officer on duty and ran through his settings for the scan. He wanted the high resolution scan to be thorough, so they had more chance of getting a Bio-sign on the first go.. He turned to the Exec'..
"Commander.. The scan is ready.. I suggest we go into a geostationary orbit directly above New London.. We can move to a standard orbital pattern once we establish that the Admiral isn't being confined within the colony itself." said Torek.
Reynolds nodded.
"Helm.. Put us in a geostationary orbit over New London." the XO ordered.
"Aye Sir." replied the Helm Officer, who began to deftly maneuver the Raven into position...
"Stand-by to initiate scan Ensign." Carl ordered the Officer at the Science Station.
"It's all set to go Sir.. I've tied into the Opps Station so the reading's can be monitored from there too." Carl turned to the Opps Station and the duty Opps Officer, nodding at the stations readiness. She began to rise but Carl motioned for her to stay put ..
"I'll monitor Opps' and Science from here Ensign, stay at your station for now." he instructed.
"Yes Lieutenant." she said, then began to check her settings once again.
The Raven began to slow as she neared the position she wanted above the colony ... Both Matt and Carl waited for the Captain and other Senior Staff to arrive on the Bridge ..........

The Raven-A had gently maneuvered herself into position ... She was now directly above the New London Colony. While in the present geostationary orbit, she could stay here indefinately... "Sir.. Geostationary orbit achieved." said Zoarial, who had just returned to the Bridge, minus his PADD, Carl noticed. "Thankyou Mr Zoarial .. Ensure we don't begin to drift." said Reynolds unnecessarily. Making Torek turn to look at the Executive Officer, who seemed preoccupied. Torek stayed put until Reynolds noticed him.. "The Captain Sir.. And the scan.. can we begin ?" Carl asked. Commander Reynolds touched the 1MC button at his side and addressed the ship. =^= Captain Smith and all Senior Staff to the Bridge immediately =^= "Go ahead Lieutenant Torek." Matt said. Carl signaled the duty Science Officer to begin scanning .......... OCC .. Come on everyone .. We have an Admiral to find .... < tag : Cptn / Exec' / Senior Staff >

OOC: This will be my last post as an official member of your wonderful ship. It has been a pleasure to simm with you guys. If the CO and XO don't mind I can keep on posting. If there is an objection you guys can use Matt in your post, but don't kill him or hurt him in any way IC: For some reason he knew that they would find the admiral here. They had placed everything they had on the successful destruction of the Raven. That of course didn't happen and now it was to late for them do anything. There was no way that they could outgun or outrun an Intrepid class starship. The senior staff was already trickling in and were taking there place on the bridge. It hit him that in a short time he would not be among them. He had already received his orders and he was ecstatic about them. It was everything that he had wished for and he was grateful to everyone who had spoken on his behalf. "Captain we are picking up a borg life sign," the science officer reported. "Red Alert!" Matt ordered. <Tag Everyone>

OOC: This is a joint post between myself and Arya. It takes places slightly before the current goings-on....but it brings us right up to now.
IC:
Arya was sitting on the couch wondering who might be interrupting her this time. She had a busy morning as it was, and still wasn't over the whiplash from the last appointment.
"Enter," she said trying to sound cheerful and upbeat.
The doors to Arya's office opened and Steve just stood in the doorway, expressionless and not moving a muscle.
~Oh no, not now. Of all the times he comes now.~ She thought, her smile fading fast.
"Hello, what may I do for you?" She said trying to remember not to snap.
Steve slowly entered the room and didn't say a word for a few moments, mainly because he didn't know how to start. He opened his mouth to speak a couple of times, but couldn'y form the words. This alone was actually angering him more. He looked down to his right hand, and noticed his finger was swelling.
"I have just had a very interesting chat with our doctor." He finally said. "Care to take a guess what it was about?"
"I know what it was about, I don't have to guess. Don't dance around this," Arya said wanting to get this over with as soon as possible. ~After all he could punish me harshly and get it done with in seconds. Why is he drawing this out?~
"Good, at least we are on the same level." He replied, and slowly moved closer to her "Would you like to know who I am feeling right now?" He asked.
Before Arya even had a chance to reply, their combadges chirped:
=/\= Captain and senior staff please report to the bridge, we have arrived at New London Colony =/\=
'Typical...' He thought to himself. 'How did I know that something like that would interrupt us?'
He tapped his combadge, =/\= On my way, Smith out. =/\=
Steve then just looked at Arya and didn't say anything...he was waiting for her.
Arya replied she was on her way as well. She got up and moved to leave noticing he followed her. "Go ahead, tell me how you feel. I see no reason to postpone this because we have to move location," she said not happy she had to leave her office for something just then. ~Some day this is turning out to be, what next?~
"That's good, because I had no intention of postponing this." He said, as they moved out of the office and into the corridor.
"I am a mess of emotions right now. I am angry over whats happened, and also sad that it isnt real. On top of that I am in pain, because I don't know what to do..." He held up his right hand, "...and also because I think I may have broken something."
"You should see a doctor for that hand. As for the rest, well it won't happen again, I know that much. I'm not dumb to try something like this ever again," she said feeling guilty. ~I should have just said something. Why didn't I think this through?~
"My hand is the least of my problems right now." He replied, bringing it down to his side. He carried on walking towards the turbolift, and at this moment in time he couldn't bring himself to look in Arya's direction.
"As for it not happening again, thats not the issue. The issue is why it happened in the first place?" He said, his voice raising slightly.
Arya sighed. "Because I needed answers, and I didn't want to talk about it. I thought if I said something I would have to talk about it, and I was scared to do so. The prank part was a cover," she admitted as the doors to the turbolift closed with them inside. She sagged against the turbo lift's wall wishing she could turn back time.
Steve followed Arya into the lift and allowed the doors to close behind him.
"Bridge." He commanded and turned to face Arya. "Add confusion to that list of emotions." He said to her. "Answers about what exactly? And why would you be scared?" He asked, feeling let down that he wife was unable to talk to him.
Arya looked away from him, and couldn't bring her eyes back. "About the whole parent thing. I don't know what to do with a child. I'm scared of creating another life," she admitted, a little hesitantly. Arya wasn't sure what was going to happen next, but she didn't like how this was going so far.
"And you think I DO know?" He asked, moving closer to her and tried to get her to look at him. "Thats something that we would both have to work on together.....its not as if I have had experience in it or anything." He added.
"But you are looking forward to it. I am not. Isn't that wrong?" Arya said still not being able to look at him. ~I feel as if I've betrayed him, and yet he still hasn't completely shied away. Is that because he cares, or because he is doing his job?~
Steve had to think for a moment to choose his words. "No, not really. And you know why? Because you knew it wasnt true, so you had no feelings on the matter. If it turned out that you WERE actually pregnant then I am sure you would feel differently." Steve noticed that Arya still wouldn't look at him. "Come here" He said, softly, hoping to at least get a reaction.
"That's just it, I DON'T think it would have changed," she said as she got a little angry, more at herself than at him.
"Why do you bother with me? I am not worthy of your time," she said still not looking at him.
Steve was a little taken aback. "Ok, ok....well we aren't going to know for sure until or if it happens are we?" Again, he was speaking quieter than before. It seemed his initial anger had gone, but there was still some residual feeling there.
Steve then gently grabbed Arya's shoulders and turned her to face him. "Why do I bother with you? Because I love you, thats why. If I thought that you wasn't worthy of my time, I wouldnt have married you. I have vowed to spend the rest of my life with you, and I still mean that. You mean more to me than I can ever express, so don't go feeling like that."
Arya puts her head on his chest. "I'm so sorry. Can you ever forgive me?"
Steve put his arms around Arya. "For lying to me..yes." He finally said. "But, we still have another problem though."
Arya sighed. "What's that? Punishment?"
She realized she put him in a difficult position being he was her commanding officer and husband.
Steve pulled away from Arya, but still held onto her shoulders. He sighed and shook his head. This wasnt going to be easy. "Well, yes. But not for what you did to me. Dr BeTor informed me that you got one of her nurses to falsify the records. Now as a consequence that nurse has been suspended."
Arya told the computer to stop the turbolift. She looked into his eyes. "I deserve whatever you think fair. I shouldn't have gotten anyone to help me with this, and am sorry to hear what happened to the nurse."
"Its not me you have to apologise to sweetheart. That one I think you owe the doctor and the nurse too." He leaned in and kissed her forehead.
"As for the punishment, I am going to need to think on that." He replied. "Besides, I need to get my hand seen to before I can even write anything up!"
Steve then instructed the computer to resume the lift's course.
"I plan to apologize to them. What do you think we will find when we reach the colony?" She said wanting to put the whole thing behind her for the time being.
"Thats good to hear." He replied. "Just dont leave it too long." He turned to the turbolift doors thinking that it shouldn't be long before they reached the Bridge. "I have no idea what we will find, but they way things have gone recently, I wouldn't be surprised if something turned up pretty quickly.
"Good, we could use something easy for once," she said and noticed he had turned as to leave the lift. She thought she saw something shift, but ignored it thinking her mind was playing tricks on her.
"Thats true." Steve agreed, "But we wont know for sure until these doors open and then wait for a bit. While he waited, Steve went and gave Arya a hug.
Arya returned the hug, and placed a kiss on his cheek. She then turned toward the doors and they opened.
Ever the gentleman, Steve let Arya step out first. He followed shortly behind her. He wasn't on the bridge for 5 seconds when suddenly the Science officer turned round.
"Captain we are picking up a borg life sign," He called out.
Steve stepped up to Arya, "See....what did I tell you?" He whispered to her, smiling.
As Matt called for Red Alert, Steve moved to his chair and take command of things, hoping Arya was following.
"Finally, we seem to be getting somewhere." He said to Matt as he sat down.
Arya smiled a little, and followed toward the center of the bridge seating herself right next to Steve. She wondered if this was the right move, but she didn't question it for then.
She watched not sure what her role would be, or even why she was sitting on the bridge.
"Are we able to get a lock on it?" He asked, hoping for some good news.

The Lieutenant Commander was running along the corridor, ducking and dodging the plasma bursts.
"How the hell did they manege to assimilate that?" he shouted.
"I don't know sir!" replied a young security officer.
"Get to the escape pods!"
The older man looked round when the ensign had not answered. If he had wanted to know who that was he now couldn't. The headless body carried on running for five metres before it exploded.
The man ran round a corner and into a junction. He hid behind a console. At least, he thought, they would have to choose which way to go.
A voice made him turn around.
"Fred!..." That cry resulted in another bite from Basil, this time on the nose of the Feegle on her left thigh. Isis got up. "Oh, Gods!" She held up her hand to her head. "Computer what happened to the replicator after I got the bottle of Romulan Ale out?" "You ordered an egg fried rice and a prawn vindalloo.""No I mean the thing with the 4 mechanical legs." "There is no service robots on board.""Ah." Isis looked at the bottle on her table. "How much of the Ale do you need to be able to replicate more?" "Starfleet regulation 9583.2578.3858 states that no alcoholic drink with the name of any Vulcanoid or Romulanoid species is to be replicated under pain of a demotion up to 4 ranks.""When was that one put in?" "June 3rd 2586""Thats 2 centuries away!" Isis put the bottle on a sensor PADD and pressed the replicate button. The machine finished and beeped 3 times. "Anyways where are we?" "We are in orbit around the third moon of New Holland. It was where you ordered me to pilot the ship to and the Raven-Ais in orbit around the main planet.""Get us in front of them so that we are facing them, put the shields up, uncloak and hail them in that order." commanded Isis forgetting she was dressed in practicaly nothing. Unfortunately for everyone, Polly had found the weapon control systems, and as the ship decloaked, bit through the V.S.D. biopack. This caused the arms to unfold and the weapons to power up. (OOC: the shuttle with it's V.S.D. attack arms up looks a bit like this for anyone interested: )

Carl moved over to the Science Station to double-check the readings .. He looked over to the Ensign at Opps and she confirmed the readings too.
"Are we able to get a lock on it ?" asked the Captain, sitting forward in his seat slightly.
Both he and Commander Reynolds were looking over at Torek as he checked the lock status... Finally, watching the Ensign try several times, Carl knew there was a problem ..
"Sorry Sir." said the duty Science Officer, "Not from this position. We would need to drop closer, there's something interfering with our targeting scanners."
"I'm not sure descending would be a good idea Captain." said Torek, "In geostationary orbit the Raven would be detected instantly at a lower altitude."
"Any thoughts ?" asked Matt.
"Well .. If we were to adjust our orbit, fall behind the New London Colony, we may have a better chance to get a more substantial lock, from a more 'side-on' position so to speak.. If nothing else, we would be able to triangulate a location in case we need to go down there and retrieve the Admiral ourselves ..." explained Carl.
The Captain didn't hesitate ..
"Helm .. Re-position our orbit to place us One Thousand kilometers astern, relative to New London's location .. Science, get ready to attempt a lock on that Borg bio-signature."
"Aye Sir." replied both addressed Officers in unison.
On screen, the Raven-A began to very slowly fall behind the Colony below .. Torek turned to the Science Station ..
"Begin scanning now." he ordered ..........

Most of the Senior Staff had arrived on the Bridge now. The ones with positions here had taken over from the duty Officers, the others were watching intently what was going on .. The Captain had stood and was walking around the Bridge, occasionally glaring at the view screen. As if, by sheer will alone, he could locate the Admiral and get him safely back to the Raven.
"Lieutenant." said the duty Opps Officer, catching Torek's eye, "I'm having trouble deciphering these readings. Science is checking them, but even the computer is having difficulty. We are never going to get a positive lock on the Admiral at this rate."
Torek looked over her shoulder, then motioned for her to vacate the Opps station, so he himself could get a clear look.. She was right of course, he never doubted it. The reading's were 'sporadic' at best ..
"I'm sure they have him under a shield of some kind, primitive, but effective. the field generators must be having problems keeping a solid shield in place." said the Science Officer, "I wouldn't risk beaming him out without first either disarming the shield or finding a way to get a positive lock."
Carl knew full well that the Captain wouldn't put the Admiral's life at risk .. but the options were 'limited' ... Fire on the shield generators .. Risk a beam out between fluctuations .. or .. Go down there themselves in a shuttle to get Mc7 of 9 back by force ...
'It's down to the Captain' Carl thought as he sat looking at his readouts ..........

Time was running out. The longer the Raven sat in orbit, the more chance there was of them being detected somehow. They just had to get Mc7 back, but what was the quickest and safest way? Steve did not like being put in these situations.....how can you juggle the options with a man's life?
"Can we take out the generators?" He asked, finally after a moments pause. "If so, fire a full spread of torpedoes." He gazed out to the viewscreen again almost sensing their imminent victory. After a moment or two he snapped out of it.
"Mr Torek, if this doesnt work, I want you, me and a security team to go down to the surface and bring our Admiral back." Steve said, with a look that said 'I will not take 'no' for an answer.

Torek almost admired the Captain's resolve .. He wanted Admiral Mc7 of 9 back, and, in view of the situation, he didn't see any point in trying to be subtle about it !
Carl double-checked the weapons status then spoke to the Science Station ..
"Ensign .. Narrow the beam so we have the Borg bio-signature as the focal point. We have to get this right first time."
"Aye Sir."
A signal, both visual and audio, attracted Torek's attention ..He checked the readings and spun to face the Captain ..
"Sir." he said urgently, "We have detected a small vessel rising from the surface of the planet !"
"Has it seen us ?" said the XO jumping out of his seat and approaching the Opps Station .. Carl pointed out the signal and Reynolds nodded agreement.
"There's no sign, as yet, that we have been seen." said Torek to the Captain and Executive Officer, "It looks like a small transport, or a shuttle, but if they 'do' see us they're bound to inform the surface."
"What kind of lock do we have on Mc7 at the moment ?" asked the Captain.
"Intermittent at best Sir." said Carl, adjusting his setting every second or two, "But if we are going to try for those generators, I'd do it now rather than later .. That shuttle is getting higher by the second."
=^= Reynolds to Transporter Room =^=
=^= Transporter Room .. Go ahead Sir =^=
=^= Hold the lock on that Borg Bio-sign .. The instant it becomes a solid lock .. Transport =^=
=^= Aye Sir =^= Confirmed the Transporter Chief, hoping there would be enough left to lock onto.
The Captain looked at the screen, he watched as the tiny vessel rising from the surface got larger and larger .. Then issued the order ...
"Fire ! ..."
Carl watched the view screen closely .. This venture either had to work .. or they were going down there to get the Admiral back themselves .. And EVERYONE, would know that they were coming !!! ..........

The Raven's phasers bore down onto its target and caused quite a few explosions. The shield was seen to drop, and a smile came across Steve's face. Unfortunately that smile was short-lived. Less than a second later, either the same or another shield snapped into place.
"What the.....?" Steve exclaimed, in shock.
=/\= Transporter Room, please give me some good news. =/\= He called into the comms
There was a few moments pause before a reply. =/\= I'm sorry sir. We had a solid lock for less than a few seconds, not enough time to get the Admiral. The signal has gone, sir. =/\=
"Damn...so it seems they have an even more powerful shield in place. The Admiral may not even be there anymore." Steve said, getting angry. He turned to Carl. "Mr Torek, it is time for plan B!" He said, never sounding more serious.

Carl watched as the full force of the Raven's phaser banks slammed into the shield generators on the surface. Everything in a sixty meter radius of the phaser hit vanished instantly ..
'Thats got to be more than enough' thought Carl as he checked his readouts from the transporter room .. They had a full lock on the Admiral, but for a second only .. Because some sort of secondary shielding had just gone up, cutting off the lock like a sword through a candle.
Carl turned, but the Captain already knew what had happened and was talking to the transporter room himself .. Torek continued to scan the area they had fired on. The Borg bio-signature was still there, plain as day now there was no need to mask it, but it was moving .. The Admiral was being moved to a more populated area of New London. An area that even Captain Smith wouldn't dare fire on !
The Captain voiced Torek's thoughts before they had fully formed ...
"Mr Torek .. It is time for plan B" he said.
"Yes Sir." replied Carl, glancing in the Executive Officers direction, "I'll have Security meet us in the transporter room ..."
Commander Zoarial was the one to notice the small ship ...
"Captain." he said, "What do you want done with the ship that is heading our way ?"
"Has it reached a stable orbital height yet ?" asked Smith.
"Yes Sir." Carl replied.
"Target it's engines and communications .. I want it dead in the water and unable to contact any of their friends."
"Phasers locked."
"Fire." ordered the Captain.
The ship was hit, it began to slowly rotate as it's inertial dampers went off-line .. It was damaged enough that it would need help just to stay up here, let alone worry about the Raven.
"Stabilize it using out tractors .. Then leave it sat out there .. The fewer we have to deal with when we get to the surface, the better." said Smith, standing and heading towards the turbo lift, "Commander Reynolds, you have the Bridge .. Mr Torek, you are with me."
Torek got up and motioned for the duty Opps Officer to take his place as he followed Captain Smith into the lift ..
Matt Reynolds watched them go .. Knowing full well that this may be the last time he would be in command of the U.S.S Raven-A ..........
