He stood in front of Waterson's guest quarters, causing the chime to ring at her door. He looked forward to meeting someone new; someone that wasn't a part of last mission. She wouldn't embody all of the demons Nack had been forced to carry with him for the past few weeks.
When no answer came from behind the closed doors, Nack tapped the computer screen to the right of the door, causing another chime to emit into the investigator's quarters. His anger from before had subsided slightly, and now had turned into impatience. As the doors finally opened, Nack was seen in the process of tapping the screen repetitively. The chirping noise of the computer could be heard clearly now coming from behind the blonde figure standing before him.
"Cccommander," Nack said, slightly embarrassed from getting caught in an overreactive state. His impatient way of going about business was indicative of a commanding officer who had not learned the discipline that a Captain embodies and reflects at all times. What it was indicative of, was a Ferengi - who just happened to be a Captain as well.
"I see you've made it on board just fine." he continued. What a stupid thing to say, he thought to himself. Of course she made it, she's here, isn't she? but small talk for the Ferengi usually consisted of making generalizations and obvious conclusions. The more he talked, the less he could be talked to.
"...and the room is fine?" Nack asked. This time he awaited a response. He had finally forgotten about the rest of the crew, who were undoubtedly spreading rumors of his temper tantrum by now. For right now, his mind slowly focused in on the mission, and the comfort level of this investigator they were to offer the aide of their ship to.
And all the while, as pleasantries were exchanged, Nack's mood calmed considerably.
"I have scheduled a briefing to the crew." Nack pulled his padd from his back pocket. Scrolling past the debts Lucy owed him, past the profit margins of Admiral Drew's goods, he found his schedule. He had been so busy lately that Commander Trek had suggested he keep a calendar of events. He showed her the padd.
Seeing that she was still settling in, by virtue of her not having unpacked yet, he offered to leave. "Let me know if you need anything. I'll introduce you to the crew in the briefing."
He backed his way out of the room as he talked, finding himself at the threshold. He tucked his padd in his pocket, turned, and left as the doors closed behind him.
Relaxed and focused, Captain Nack honed in his intellect on the mission of helping Commander Waterson, and gathering information to assist. Returning to his quarters, he downloaded all relevant information about the Nevada's temporary crew member, the mission at hand, and finally, this "Internal Thief".

OOC: I'll continue right on from where we left off in the briefing room.
"Good to meet you, Mr. Helacaan. I have your physical scheduled for 1200 hours today." Seth raised his eyebrows, a physical? "Your medical records have preceeded you."
"I would advise you not to skip that," Dan said to Helacaan quietly.
Seth smiled ever so slightly, his smile was a remarkable one, "I wouldn't miss it Doctor," he said to Dr. Grey. <Tag Grey>
With that they settled down at the table, and Commander Trek started.
"Ensign Helacaan," Seth turned upon being addressed, he had only being half-listening up to that point. "You made an interesting statement a minute ago. You said that it's a pleasure to serve with me. Explain to me why you've made that judgement."
Commander Trek drilled him with a difficult question and Seth looked at the Commander. A few seconds passed by while this took place. Does he know what I'm thinking? Seth thought. The truth was, that Seth had no idea why he had said that, formality he supposed, what else?
He didn't know the XO at all of course, he assumed it was just a customary juncture in the introduction of serving Starfleet officers. "I made the judgement sir, because I could consider it an honour to serve aboard a Starfleet ship, and with whom I assume are greatly capable officers." Not quite true, but close enough for the purposes of formality.
While he was for the moment satisfied with his carefully considered reply, Seth would have to wait a bit longer before he decided if he liked this crew or not. Starfleet was part of The United Federation of Planets, an organisation that the Helacaan family had had and probably still held a long grudge against. Now that he was serving with the people of the Federation he would observe, that if his views needed to change, or whether the hate his family held for it was justified. He wondered on what the XO's reply would be, the man was still looking at him.

Seth smiled ever so slightly, his smile was a remarkable one, "I wouldn't miss it Doctor," he said to Dr. Grey.
Lucy smiled her friendliest smile. "Good." Turning to Cmdr. Trek, she nodded and sat down at the table.
"Ensign Helacaan," Trek asked, "You made an interesting statement a minute ago. You said that it's a pleasure to serve with me. Explain to me why you've made that judgement."
Dr. Grey raised her glass to her lips to hide the smile. Dantrek was always starting a conversation with a difficult question. Their counseling session had some of those same qualities.
"I made the judgement sir, because I could consider it an honour to serve aboard a Starfleet ship, and with whom I assume are greatly capable officers."
Good answer, Lucy thought.
<Trek>
Lucy sat up and leaned forward, setting her glass down.
"Is Captain Nack joining us, commander?" she asked quietly.

"Commander Trek to Commander Park, Doctor Grey, and Ensigns Bit-Cloud and Helacaan. Report to the Briefing Room on the Nevada immediately."
Bit had been meeting everyone in engineering and getting use to it when the message came over the COM. He thought he would take a few things with him before he left. He walked into his office grabbed a empty PADD and replicated himself a cup of black coffee then walked back out of his office
"It was nice meeting you guys i hope to meet the rest of the guys and hope we can all work togeather" he said to few engineers that were on duty then left engineering.
He got into the turbo lift and headed to the bridge. The doors opened and he walked out and headed to the Briefing room he entered and looked around to see some of the other officers then went and sat down in one of the empty chairs.

"I made the judgement sir, because I could consider it an honour to serve aboard a Starfleet ship, and with whom I assume are greatly capable officers."
"A satisfactory answer," Dan replied and smiled. "And a safe assumption when addressing the First Officer of such a powerful vessel."
Lucy sat up and leaned forward, setting her glass down. "Is Captain Nack joining us, commander?" she asked quietly.
"Ensign Bit-Cloud certainly should have by now. I know from experience that it doesn't take that long to get here from Engineering," Dan noted then tapped his commbadge. "Commander Trek to-" Just then, Ensign Bit-Cloud came in and sat down. "Computer, cancel comm call."
"Thank you all for coming," Dan said, not taking a seat. "I apologize if my orders misled, but this is not a briefing. And no, Doctor, the Captain will not be joining us. I've called this meeting on my own discretion."
Despite the looks on their faces in reaction to this, Dan continued. "Command is not happy with how certain aspects of how our last mission went. Now Ensigns," he said, turning to Bit-Cloud and Helacaan, "Obviously you have no responsibility in this, but I thought it best to address the entire Senior Staff on this one."
Dan returned his attention to the group as a whole, and leaned on the Briefing table. "I'll say this straight out. The Captain and I are both in a lot of hot water, to borrow a human expression, over-"
At that moment, the holographic prosthetic that formed his left forearm and hand fluctuated, and he found himself losing his balance, and his holographic arm sank and rematerialized inside the table. He let out a grunt of pain in response, before deactivating the arm and straightening up again, waving off Doctor Grey, who had started to get up.
Doing his best to act like what just transpired hadn't happened, he reactivated his arm and continued. "Anyway, over certain poor judgment made during the incident with the Vulcan ship. Such mistakes are not, I repeat, not to happen again. If it affects the ship as a whole, and unless it's an absolute emergency where you have a split-second to act, you consult with the Captain or myself before acting. Is that clear?"
He didn't even wait for acknowledgment before calling out, "Dismissed," and turning their backs on them to face the window.

The trip from Roalan IV had clearly been more exhausting than Lisa had realized because when the door chime startled her out of a light sleep, it became apparent that she had drifted off. Rubbing her eyes and stretching her arms above her head, the doctor was startled when the chime rang again. Frowning, she rose from her chair and began to move to the door only to be inundated with a series of repeating chimes. Clearly, whoever was at the door was in some sort of hurry, a medical emergency or some sort of crisis with an attack on a ship perhaps?
As the door opened on the furiously tapping Ferengi, he glanced up and his expression turned from impatience to horror in the space of a second. Clearly chagrined by his less than calm behavior, the Captain quickly began to try and ease the awkwardness of the moment with idle chit chat, though the unease was one sided. “Oh yes, the room will be just fine, Captain. Thank you for checking on me.” Lisa replied, hoping to help soothe the nerves of the high-strung officer.
It seemed to work, as the two settled into rather normal small talk before the briefing was mentioned and Nack pulled out a padd. Figures which the medical administrator recognized from a distance as financial in nature scrolled past on the screen before it settled on the time and place for the briefing. Nodding in reply, Commander Waterson smiled gently. “Thank you once again for your time and the welcome, Captain. I appreciate it. I will see you at the briefing then?”
The Ferengi officer had already been in the process of backing out, and at this point was already at the door, so he merely nodded before placing the padd back in his pocket and making his exit. Shaking her head slightly at his retreating form, Lisa ran her fingers through her hair and debated whether to unpack or rest. Settling on rest, she recycled the mostly empty glass of water before moving towards the bedroom. If Captain Nack was any indication of the way this mission would go, this wasn’t going to be so bad or difficult after all. After a quick nap, she’d be ready to give the briefing to the rest of the crew and get the show on the road so to speak. With any luck, this would turn out to be a highly successful job.

With all of his information on the padd tucked into his back pocket, Captain Nack was prepared to assist Doctor Waterson in her briefing. He was a bit nervous, though, since he had not talked to anyone on his senior staff in the past day, and he was slightly embarrassed by his actions on the bridge, and toward Commander Trek.
Having the crew walking on egg-shells wouldn't be entirely bad. At least the work will get done in an orderly fashion, and not all hob-gobbled together. (As if the Ferengi had room to consider such accusations. One could say his whole command style was hob-gobbled.)
He walked the corridors, allowing the tips of his fingers to rub against the wall gently as he traversed the ship toward Waterson's level. It was a more calm walk, but his forehead was sweating. It was probably due to the recent stresses, and the fact that he was about to face what they manifested into. He had yet to call the briefing, though, and he considered calling it off as he made it to the turbolift, and asked to be taken to deck three.
He passed the Diplomatic Guest Quarters on the way to their guest's room. It was a luxury the did not afford to their guest, as she didn't have a diplomatic status, even though the intent of her mission was to restore the diplomacy of the region.
Nack wiped his forehead with his sleeve. It felt like someone had increased the temperature aboard the ship. It was always a dry air compared to what Nack's physiology enjoyed, a reason why his room was kept at a higher humidity, but now the temperature felt off.
The door chime rang, and on the first ring Commander Waterson answered, sparing Nack the embarrassment he suffered in his previous encounter. Wiping his brow again, he stated, "Briefing time." He smiled as pleasantly as he could, showing the sharp jaggedness of yellow-green teeth. He had treated himself to a long tooth sharpening the evening before, and was proud to show them off.
As she gathered her materials, his left arm started to feel numb as he used it to prop himself up against the door frame. He removed it, wiggling it a little to restore the blood-flow. Slowly the numbness rose up his left arm to his upper lungs, though, making it difficult to breath. Sweat dripped from his brow, but he didn't wipe it off this time, feeling too dizzy to do so.
He thought he heard Doctor Waterson ask if he was alright, but the room slightly spun, and the echoing voice was fleeting. Nack didn't answer. In what seemed like minutes, but really was only a few seconds, Nack had fallen to his knees, and then to his side, before going unconscious.
A ship-wide medical alert went out. =/\= Medical Emergency, Deck three. Captain Nack appears to be suffering a heart attack. =/\=

After shuffling the short stack of padds briefly to ensure that everything was where it should be, Commander Waterson placed them on the desk next to the door and picked up the almost empty glass of orange juice. Although this would be the first time she’d ever had to give a briefing to a group of people who weren’t all doctors, Lisa felt surprisingly calm and prepared. There was no one, absolutely no one in the entire galaxy, who knew more about this case than she did, and as such, there was a minimal amount of preparations for her to make. The padds of information were almost unnecessary, but it was better to be safe than sorry. After all, it would be strange if she recited everything from memory, even if her extensive knowledge and familiarity with the case was why she had been appointed lead investigator.
After finishing the juice and recycling the glass, the chime rang and it took only a few moments to cross the room and allow the less agitated, though…sweaty, Captain inside. Nack seemed almost cheerful, though perhaps it was a tad forced, as Lisa turned to retrieve the padds. Turning back, the look on the commanding officer’s face looked…off somehow. “Are you all right, Captain?” the doctor asked, concern mounting as he didn’t reply and his expression glazed over further.
As he fell to his knees, Waterson dropped the padds and reacted on instinct, catching his shoulder as he sank to the floor to prevent his head from hitting anything on the way down. Rolling the unconscious Ferengi onto his back and checking his pulse and respiration, the doctor was fairly certain Nack had just had a heart attack. “Medical Emergency, Deck three. Captain Nack appears to be suffering a heart attack.” Lisa reported calmly before going for her med kit.
Tricorder scans did reveal that it was indeed a heart attack, and a quick injection of anti-coagulants was all that could be done at this stage without the proper equipment. However, once he stopped breathing, the situation became much more serious, and after a hypospray of Cortolin and Leporazine had little effect, Doctor Waterson began to administer CPR hoping that would keep him alive until the emergency response team got there and he was transported to sickbay. Lisa was growing more concerned by the second and was about to signal for an emergency beam out to sickbay when the medical team finally arrived.
“He lost consciousness about four minutes ago, stopped breathing a minute later. I administered an anti-coagulant immediately, followed by Cortolin and Leporazine when his vitals crashed. I’ve been performing CPR for two and half minutes now.” Doctor Waterson informed the head of the team moving slightly out of the way but remaining nearby to assist. She wasn’t exactly an emergency doctor, although very familiar with bringing patients back who crashed on the operating table, so Lisa waited for instructions, determined to help however she could.

Cmdr. Trek's holographic arm faded out. Lucy was just a little taken aback at first but he reactivated it and continued speaking, "Anyway, over certain poor judgment made during the incident with the Vulcan ship. Such mistakes are not, I repeat, not to happen again. If it affects the ship as a whole, and unless it's an absolute emergency where you have a split-second to act, you consult with the Captain or myself before acting. Is that clear?"
"Aye, sir." Dr. Grey looked at Lt.Cmdr. Park. As Dantrek dismissed them, she got up, her fingers lightly touching the cup in front of her. Then, grabbing it, she walked over and tossed it in the recycle bin.
They had done their best to extricate the doctors from the Brain. I obviously wasn't good enough.
Lt.Cmdr. Grey gave the new ensigns a sympathetic look and said, quietly, "This happens on occasion. Sometimes your best isn't good enough."
<Bit, Helacaan>
"You'll get used to it," Lucy said reassuringly, "Don't worry about it now."
=/\= Medical Emergency, Deck three. Captain Nack appears to be suffering a heart attack. =/\=
Dr. Grey went into high gear, the only gear she knew of when faced with an emergency.
|Deck 3
The emergency trauma team was already there by the time Lucy stepped off the turbolift. They had a gurney leveled to the deck and was gently moving the captain over onto it. Then, the attending trauma physician touched the hydraulic button and the gurney rose to his stomach level.
Dr. Grey reached over with her tricorder. "What happened?" she asked calmly.
While a civilian (by the looks of her) explained the sweating and appearant dizzyness of the captain just prior to his dropping to the floor unconscious, Lucy noticed the color of Nack's face - a pinkish hue where normally he would be orange.
"Get him into ICU. I'll meet you there." Dr. Grey turned to the woman standing just out of the way of the working medical team. "I'm Dr. Lucy Grey. I take it you're a doctor? You gave him Cortolin and Leporazine?"

Jon Knew that Dan was talking about his transporter stunt that ended with him in sickbay however he had felt the need was there. As Commander Trek dismissed them he started to head back to the bridge when the Medical alert was issues and saw Dr.Grey bolt out of the briefing room. Jon looked over at Commander Trek as he heard the alert and knew where the Commander would be.
Stepping out onto the bridge Jon moved over to his station and worked with Thomas to get weapon systems up to full power. Thomas looked at Park and Jon saw the question on his mind Saying to Thomas "I know Dr. Grey will take care of the captain."
Jon wasn't sure his place since the Captain wasn't being attacked however he was going to have to give his teams the updates from starfleet security before start our next mission. As he copied the files into the holodeck to program a new training section Jon's mind just wasn't in it. He need to check on the captain. Turning to Commander Thomas Jon said "Commander you have the bridge, I will be in Sickbay with the captain."
Jon headed to sickbay and meet the medical team just as they were bringing the captain there. Jon had never seen a sick Ferengi before he was a bit taken aback but knew Dr.Grey was going to make him well again. ~Strange Commander Trek isn't here~ Park thought. As a nurse walked past Jon he got her attain "Please inform the doctor that i would like myself and Commander Trek informed of the Captain's progress." Since he knew there was nothing he could do there he headed back to his office to work on the training program.
After a little while he finished the program and tapped his combadge.=/\= Park to Commander Trek, Sir i have written a new training program for the security teams and want to know would it be a issue to start running it asap?"

Trek didn't even wait for acknowledgment before calling out, "Dismissed," and turning their backs on them to face the window.
Seth had no, or at best little, idea what the XO had been talking about. He was vaguely aware of some security issues aboard the ship, but apart from that, the XO's words had been a surprise to the frontier colonist. Another thing that had surprised him was when Trek's arm flickered and went through the table. Such things did not usually happen in Seth's experience, so that had been a minor shock...
"This happens on occasion. Sometimes your best isn't good enough." Seth looked for who was talking and realised it was Dr. Grey who was sitting opposite him and Ensign Bit-Cloud, he could see that she was sympathetic. He couldn't think of much to say to the Doctor, so he settled on a short nod, Seth was feeling in pensive mood after Trek's small speech.
Well I hope he doesn't make a habit of it, Seth thought as they left the briefing room. He looked to his left, Ensign Bit-Cloud was beside him. Seth thought that he may as well introduce himself. "Sorry Ensign," he said, "I do not believe I have introduced myself to you yet, Acting Ensign Seth Helacaan." Not entirely sure what kind of body gesture to use, Seth simply offered his hand.
<Tag Bit-Cloud>
Just then, =/\= Medical Emergency, Deck three. Captain Nack appears to be suffering a heart attack. =/\=
What? Seth thought, half unbelieving of what he had just heard. He glanced around at his new fellow officers. There was complete silence on the bridge, no one moved. Seth observed, some looked around in horror, others just staring straight forward unblinking. The tension in the room was almost tangible. Someone suggested that they all got back to work. Seth agreed, This. Is. Surreal. Seth felt like an outside observer, as if he wasn't actually there. No one knew him enough for him to influence the situation as he had only just arrived on the ship. He felt that the unique viewpoint the situation gave him was driving his brain insane.
Seth was not entirely sure how he felt about it, whether he felt sympathy (less likely), whether he was indifferent, whether he couldn't care less (very unlikely, and not an attitude that would stand him in good stead in the time to come). Walking to the Ops Console, he started pressing buttons, checking systems, other various things, not really concentrating. It was a confusing time for Seth Helacaan; or was it? He did not know.

Dan stayed facing the window, looking at the goings-on of the busy docking bay in which they were docked at the starbase, as he listened to the rest of the senior staff leave.
As they left, he didn't need his mental abilities to tell him of the tension in the air. The ensigns had no idea what in the heavens he'd been talking about, and Lucy had taken what he'd said too much to heart. Hopefully, he would be able to clear things up with each of them later.
His reflections and ponderings, which had somehow taken such a turn that his deceased wife's face was stuck firmly in his mind, were cut into like an ax into a tree by an announcement that no First Officer ever wants to hear.
=/\= Medical Emergency, Deck three. Captain Nack appears to be suffering a heart attack. =/\=
The demands of duty screamed for him to turn on his heel and bolt for Sickbay. Rational thought told him that it was best to let the good Doctor do her job, and have a tense First Officer breathing down your neck, literally or figuratively, would hardly help her ability to focus.
After a few more minutes, he returned to the Bridge; it was his proper place with the Captain incapacitated.
=/\= Park to Commander Trek, Sir i have written a new training program for the security teams and want to know would it be a issue to start running it asap? =/\=
Dan tapped his commbadge as he sat down in the First Officer's chair. Even if he had to inclination to do so, the redesigned Captain's chair was too small for him anyway. "Sounds good to me, Commander. Let me know how it goes. I'd be interested to here."
After ending the conversation with the CTSO, Dan looked down at his hand, then over it to the two new ensigns that he had just thrown for a loop. He would normally consult with Lieutenant Selgur, one of the people responsible for creating the arm, but the man was busy with the new fighters that had been delivered last mission.
He walked over to them. "Gentleman," he said jovially to the two ensigns, "I do apologize for, most likely, leaving you totally confused as to what just went on. One matter I will clear up is unusual scene you witnessed with regards to my arm," he said, rolling up his sleeves, and holding his arms out, and looking at them.
"They don't look any different, do they?" he asked, rhetorically. "But they are, very much so." He held up his right hand, "This is flesh and bone. But this on the other hand," holding up his left arm, "isn't." He deactivated the hologram, leaving a large emitter where his forearm ended just below the elbow. "Both controlled by my mind, but one by a network of neurons, the other by a neural transciever."
"What you saw in the Briefing Room was a malfunction. They're rather annoying, and they can be painful, depending on the circumstances, as you just witnessed. I don't know how much of experts either of you are in holo-technology, but I'd like you two to take a look at it," Dan said, requesting more than ordering.

"I don't know how much of experts either of you are in holo-technology, but I'd like you two to take a look at it," the Commander finished his explanation of pretty much everything that happened and was said in the briefing room.
Seth took a breath first, wondering whether or not Bit-Cloud would say something first. When nothing was forth-coming from him, Seth chose to speak. "I would be happy to have a look at it for you sir, when is a convenient time?" Seth was starting to wither under the weight of formality that he felt constricted by. Perhaps it wasn't totally necessary, but he didn't want to take the chance.
Trek told him what time was alright for him. Seth didn't really want to look at it right there, he was sure the XO had enough on his mind. He did have some knowledge of holo-technology, although what he had worked with before was no way near as advanced as Trek's imitation appendage. He hadn't even worked 'extensively' with starfleet holo-tech.
"I'll give it a go sir." Seth nodded towards the XO as the latter moved off.
<tag Trek>
A certain morbid curiosity drew Seth to thinking about seeing how the Captain was. It was hardly his place, he knew, but that didn't change how he thought. He moved to the Ops Console again and having little better to do at that time, started reviewing the Nevada's sensor usage. Keeps me busy, he thought. On duty at Starbase wasn't a problem for him, besides (excluding whatever was going to happen to the Captain), they would be departing soon.

Captain Nack awoke to find multiple figures hovering above him. In pain, and a bit delusional, he tried to sit up, but found a forcefield holding him in place.
"What's.... where am.. I?" he asked, but in a soft whisper. His lungs were restricted from moving to far from resting position by the invisible restraints holding him to the bed.
Doctor Grey stood above him, flashes of others - Park... Waterson... stood out as he came in and out of consciousness.
It was a few more hours before Nack became aware enough to hold a conversation, short as it may be. He requested a communique open to Commander Trek.
=/\= I need you to lead Commander Waterson in the briefing. =/\= Between sentences he audibly sucked in as much air as he could. The simple act of talking took all of the Ferengi's energy. =/\= We need to get this ship underway. =/\=
He told Waterson about the padd in his back pocket, telling her to give it to Commander Trek. He would know what to do with the information, as most of Nack's part of the briefing was going to be tactics for dealing with the syndicate.
With the diplomatic tensions rising between the Romulan Empire and Starfleet, this mission needed to get underway. Nack wasn't about to start being a commander, not his condition, but nonetheless, his disposition shouldn't stop anyone else from doing their job.
=/\= You have command of the ship until future notice. =/\= he told the first officer. =/\= Don't let me down. =/\=
His tone was considerably different coming from the weakened Ferengi than it had been a couple of days ago in his quarters. It was out of necessity, now, that Dan Trek lead the crew. Nack had faith in him. Hopefully the rest of the crew did too.
Nack tried to sit up, only to be forced back down again by the bio-bed's restraint system. "How bad is it?" Nack asked Commander Grey.

Park watched as Nack gave command of the Nevada to Commander Trek. Jon knew it was hard as Commander Trek moved away to get the Mission under way. Jon moved over to walk next to Dan. "Sir given that Captain Nack has given you Commanded it seams you need a new first officer. I volunteer."
<Tag Trek>
After Commander Trek made up his mind Jon informed him he was going to start the security training program as they reached a branch of the corridor where Jon turned and headed to the holodeck.
As he headed to holodeck 3 he tapped him combadge =/\= All security and Marine personal report to holodeck 3 for a training session, Commander Thomas remain on the bridge."=/\= Jon waited for the teams to arrive and activated the holodeck "Computer activate program Park Security training Program 1 Alpha set difficulty level at 2." Program Activated Enter when ready the computer said after a few seconds Jon entered the holodeck just as a few of the Alpha team arrived.
After about 15 minotaurs everyone had arrived and Park closed the holodeck doors. "Computer weapons." Park said. A table appeared with a number of weapons most Star fleet issue but some from the other cultures from the crew. " Ok teams since we have no marine commander i have been given command as u know so i have asked the marines to join us in training. now choice a weapon and get ready for the training to start.
Jon went to the table and saw that all the type 3 phaser rifles were taken calling out to the computer. "Computer one type 3 phaser rifle." the computer beeped in reply to the command. Jon moved to join the group and called out."Computer start program."
The area change and they were standing in the a desert back on earth Jon turned to the team. "we are in 2001 in the ending days of the Persian gulf war the enemy is from our era not back then. So be carefull the security setting are set to low so a kill shot will knock u out." Jon looked around and knew they understood he moved over to Alpha team. "I will command Alpha team Move out."

While trying her best to convey all the relevant information to the trauma team and staying out of the way as they worked, a woman who Lisa recognized, both from her personnel file and from the air of authority about her, as the Chief Medical Officer arrived. Lieutenant Commander Grey was someone that Doctor Waterson had been looking forward to meeting. After all, being a doctor on a strange ship you always wanted to be on good terms with the person in charge of sickbay.
“What happened?” Lucy asked with a calmness only doctors could possess in this type of situation. Glancing briefly at the busy medics, Lisa realized the question was best addressed to her, as after all she had been the one here when he collapsed.
“He arrived here to escort me to the briefing. He appeared fairly calm, but was sweating more heavily than seemed normal. When I turned to get my padds, his eyes glazed over slightly, indicative of dizziness, and he fell to his knees before collapsing further to the deck. I prevented him from hitting his head and called for help before retrieving a medkit and administering an anti-coagulant. When his vitals dropped, I administered Cortolin and then Leporazine, before beginning CPR.” Lisa reported matching Lucy’s calmness with her own.
"Get him into ICU. I'll meet you there." Doctor Grey ordered the team before turning back to Commander Waterson. "I'm Dr. Lucy Grey. I take it you're a doctor? You gave him Cortolin and Leporazine?"
“Yes, I am. Doctor Lisa Waterson, head of transplant research and procedures on the Roalan IV colony. I’m here as an investigator to assist with the upcoming mission. It is a pleasure to meet you, Commander. Though I should be somewhat busy with the investigation, I hope you will not hesitate to contact me for assistance should you need an extra pair of hands.” Lisa offered, smiling pleasantly at her colleague. It was always so nice to meet and work with other doctors. “As for the Cortolin and Leporazine, I was hoping to restart his breathing and revive him before the medics arrived; however, when that failed, I resorted to trying to keep him stable the old-fashioned way until help and the necessary equipment was available.”
With the condition of the Captain unknown, there wasn’t much time to exchange pleasantries much longer, and Lisa tried to remain as unobtrusive as possible. Doctor Grey and her medical team had things well in hand. Commander Waterson wasn’t entirely sure what to do exactly. She couldn’t have lasted just waiting in her quarters for word, but she felt somewhat useless standing off to the side in sickbay, watching the doctors and nurses work on the very still Captain.
Hours later he woke up, and still more hours later he was able to talk. During that time, Lisa helped with a few minor cases, but mainly just stood by waiting to figure out what was going to happen next. When a channel was opened to the first officer, Doctor Waterson moved closer. The mission and the Nevada would move forward without its Captain, at least for the time being. The Commander wasn’t entirely sure how she felt about that just yet, but only time would tell the impact of this change.
Taking the padd Nack had handed her, Lisa left sickbay in search of Commander Trek, at least she would be searching from him once she returned to her quarters and retrieved her padds once more. It wouldn’t do to go and see him unprepared for the briefing, although it was unclear just how soon the briefing would actually be given the Captain’s current condition. The collapse of the commanding officer was certainly an interesting development, but it would hopefully have little impact on the eventual outcome, or so Commander Waterson hoped at least.

Jon moves south from the start of the program and saw a few trucks full of Americans troops as one of his officers start to aim. "Lt. Nos stand down they are the good guys." Nos moved back in formation and the group continued on. Jon moved past them and the American troops paid them no mind. Jon picked up a era true walkie talkie and called to the Beta team.
"Park to Commander Draco Report." 30 miles away Commander Draco replies "Draco here.We have seen some Enemy troops but they are headed in your direction about 10 miles ago."Jon takes out a pair of binoculars and scanned around them seeing movement about 5 miles away. Seeing they were heading to the marine group Jon Contacts Captain Marks. "Captain Marks here Commander." Jon looks in the binoculars again and replies "Enemy troops about 3 clicks behind u. ETA to u about 15 minute bunked down and get ready to engage. Alpha team and Beta team in route to assit."
5 minutes till Alpha team arriving Park sees a huge explosion around where they are Park guns the trucks engine that they found about 2 minutes after they changed direction. As they make it to them he finds only one Marine and Captain marks up and Lt. Riker from the Beta team up. Every one else had fallen but the enemy was down. Park checked everyones lifesigns and they were fine. Park looked around and said "Computer end Program. With that the desert disappeared and they were back on the holodeck grid After a few minutes everyone got up and looked around seeing they are on the holodeck.
Jon moved over to a panel and started reviewing the session. Jon downloaded something to a padd and said to everyone "very good team, now to let you know something the weapons u had were being tracked by the ships computer and i have everyones score. You all Passed the test However I would like to see Captain Marks and Lieutenant Salfer in my office after the mission briefing. Dismissed." all the offices looked at Jon and headed out of the holodeck he also left and headed to his quarters to get cleaned up and ready for the mission briefing.

"Is it just cold in here, or is just me?" Nack said, more aware and less out of breath than he had been earlier. It had been a few hours since he had talked to Commander Trek by now, and Nack was growing increasingly impatient in sickbay, even though his need to remain there was obvious.
Nack turned his head. Being a doctor himself he could read the displays on the side of the bed showing his vitals. They were not up to par with what was considered normal for a Ferengi, and he knew that until it was, Doctor Grey would keep him there.
"I think there has just been too much stress." he pondered out loud. "I started the new position, dealt with a few lost marines, had staffing issues I had to deal with," as Nack continued his list of problems, his heart-rate could be seen as increasing on the monitor.
"I think this mission will be more relaxing. It shouldn't be entirely dangerous, from a ship-wide perspective. Not like last time." he told the nurse next to him. He used her as an outlet for his ideas.
"I think Doctor Waterson will just tell us where to go, and ask for help as needed. Our medical facilities are great - as well as our fire power...." he continued listing the positive aspects of the USS Nevada - the reasons why Starfleet picked it and its crew to help Waterson to achieve her goal.
"How long until I can leave?" Nack knew that if it were up to him, he would be able to leave as soon as his vitals were up to snuff. Doctor Grey, however, would have the final call - and being a Doctor himself he understood that making an assumption like that, taking the control out of her hands, might not be a smart idea.

=/\= Nack to Commander Trek =/\=
The Captain was awake. This was the best news Dan had heard all day. He had previously stopped by Sickbay, only to be informed that the Captain wasn't lucid enough to speak to anyone. So Dan had only observed from a distance for a few minutes, and left again.
=/\= Go ahead, Captain. I'm here =/\=
=/\=I need you to lead Commander Waterson in the briefing.=/\= A loud intake of air was audible between his sentences. He wasn't in good shape. =/\= We need to get this ship underway. =/\=
After a few more moments he said, =/\= You have command of the ship until future notice. Don't let me down. =/\=
=/\= Acknowledged, Captain =/\= Dan fought down the emotions as he spoke. The Captain and First Officer had only known each other a brief time, but a strong bond had already formed between them.
Commander Park spoke up. "Sir given that Captain Nack has given you Commanded it seams you need a new first officer. I volunteer."
Dan quickly regained control of his faculties. "Do you now?" he asked rhetorically. "I'll keep that in mind, Commander, if the need for a new First Officer arises."
Park mentioned something about going off to begin the security training. Dan gave a half-hearted acknowledgment, his mind already busy with other things.
He tapped his commbadge. "Acting Captain Trek to all Senior Staff. Mission briefing in one hour. Trek out." It was odd using that title to refer himself again.
Commander Waterson. He hadn't actually met her yet. Well, Dan thought to himself, recalling the motto of the Temporal Mechanics department, there's no time like the present.
He sought out and located Commander Waterson. "Commander Waterson, I presume? Commander Trek, at your service. What can you tell me?"

Seth opened the door to his quarters and entered. He hadn't had time to settle in properly as of yet, so he began by finishing putting away the few belongings he had brought. They were the same belongings he had when he left Ascension four years ago, and so carried the greatest of sentimental value.
After placing the holograph of him and his family on his side-desk, he lay down on his bed, and slowly exhaled. His first duty shift had been a rather eventful one, what with Captain Nack suffering a heart attack. Seth was half-tempted to pick up the padd he had placed on the side-desk, alongside the holograph. He decided against it, he was on down-time.
Besides, the ship's supplies roster was not something he particularly wanted to look at at that current time, it wasn't exactly his favourite part of Operations, and he was sure there were much more qualified and authorative Ops Officers capable of handling such things. The thing was, that despite that - officially - he was the ship's COO, he was still in-training, and Seth wasn't sure that he wanted the whole responsibility of the entire department just yet.
Responsibility. It had always been a problem for him, the only field in which he had felt able to take responsibility was where his family's standing on Ascension was concerned. Upholding its dignity was high on the list of Seth's many confused and conflicting priorities. Like when, on Ascension, there had been the controversy over the Helacaan Family's intentions in the politics of the world. Controversy which led to distrust, and distrust which went down those darker lines of thought, that secret which many accused the Helacaans of keeping. It was not to be thought about.
We'll see about those accusers when I get back there... thought Seth. But not until his task was done, if it ever got done.
Seth checked the chronometer on the wall, it was nearly time, and he had nearly forgotten. He tapped his commbadge,
=/\=Dr. Grey? This is Ensign Helacaan. Is it still possible to have my physical, or are you busy?=/\=
<Tag Dr. Grey>
Seth was... semi-anxious about wanting to get the physical over with as quickly as possible. He waited for Grey's reply, he knew what the Doctor would find during her scans, there was nothing she could do about it. There was nothing he himself could do about it, it had been deemed impossible to eliminate the aches he sometimes got. Repeated breaking of bones, through sport accidents, generic accidents, abuse...
It was something you couldn't cure with medicine. He felt underneath his tunic for the diagonal scar that went part way down his torso, and thought of how he had got it, he didn't shiver or anything like that, those times had come and gone. Now he would just sit, numbly, thinking of injustice.

Bit saw Helacaan take a go at it then decided to wait his turn "i'll try after Helacaan has finished" bit said smiling then took around the bridge. It had been the first time up here since coming aboard.
"Well I'll be in engineering if anyone needs me" Bit said smiling again then heading towards the turbolift. He pressed the button and got in
"Main Engineering" he said hoping the computer would know what he was talking about. Luckly it did and he was off, The doors opened a few minutes later and he walked out and soon entered engineering.g
He walked in and looked around then walked over to a console and started to mess with it trying to learn more about the ship he would be on. He accessed the schematics and started to go through them.
He pulled out one of the PADD's he had with him in the briefing room cleared it and started to put some important ship information on it. Then he went into his office and started to read over all of it

After gathering the scattered padds from the floor, Lisa realized she didn’t quite feel like going anywhere just yet. Standing around for hours doing almost nothing while waiting for news about Nack had seemed almost as exhausting as actually treating the Captain would have been, even though the doctor was all too aware that wasn’t actually true. With a sigh, Commander Waterson stacked the padds neatly on the desk before retrieving a cup of lemon tea from the replicator. She was going to take five, ten, or maybe even fifteen minutes to just sit and relax before going to find the first officer. Correction…he was the acting Captain now…
About halfway through the cup of steaming liquid, Lisa decided that she wanted a cookie, but while debating what kind she wanted, the chime rang. With a heavy sigh, the doctor placed the tea on a nearby coffee table and opened the door, not particularly surprised to find Commander Trek on the other side. Taking a few steps back to allow the tall officer inside, the doctor was a bit surprised when he got right to the point. "Commander Waterson, I presume? Commander Trek, at your service. What can you tell me?" the imposing first officer asked.
Raising her eyebrow slightly at the rather unspecific, open-ended question, Lisa debated for a moment what to actually say in response. After a few moments of pondering, she smiled politely up at him. “Well Commander, you are correct. I am Commander Lisa Waterson, though I could just as easily be addressed as Doctor Waterson. It is a pleasure to meet you, Sir. I’ve spent the last few hours in sickbay with Captain Nack, so I must confess to feeling a tad...weary; however, I am ready whenever you are for the briefing. Did you want a preview of the information I have for the briefing or was it merely a question of my level of readiness?” the investigator asked as respectfully as possible, not entirely sure what else to say.

|Sickbay - ICU
Nack tried to sit up, only to be forced back down again by the bio-bed's restraint system. "How bad is it?" Nack asked Commander Grey.
Lucy leaned over her captain to see around his ears -correction, Lobes- before saying, "You've had a Myocardial Infarction. There is damage to the left ventricle. I have you hooked up to the ECG and will keep you there until you're completely out of danger."
Seeing Captain Nack sigh and relax, Dr. Grey relaxed in turn. Then, patting him on the shoulder, she straightened his hospital gown over his small arm and reached for a padd. A quick report to Dr. Waterson and Captain Trek was in order.
=/\= "Acting Captain Trek to all Senior Staff. Mission briefing in one hour. Trek out." =/\= Lucy looked into the air and sighed.
Before she could react or respond, she recieved another communique.
=/\= Dr. Grey? This is Ensign Helacaan. Is it still possible to have my physical, or are you busy? =/\=
=/\= Mr. Helacaan, I think that is an excellent idea. Report to sickbay immediately. =/\=
The CMO had time to send her initial report to the acting captain and the on-board investigator before Ensign Helaccan entered. She pointed him to one of the exam beds, picked up the man's chart and started over to him.
"You've had several broken bones, ensign," she started, "could you clarify what might have happened? It doesn't look like they happened all at once, but I've been incorrect about a few things before."
<Helacaan>
Lucy smiled, saying, "Humor me, Seth. What it says in this drab, sterile chart is usually quite different from the real facts. By the way, how's your teeth? Solid? Brushing regular, are you?"
At Helacaan's expression, Lucy laughed. "Seth, if you have bad teeth, cavities and all that, then you've probably got a weak sketetal structure. Now, back to my original question. Give me a run-down on your broken bones."
<Helacaan>

The Acting Captain was delayedly abashed of his own blunt approach to the matter.
"Forgive me, Doctor. The pressures of Command have made me a tad weary myself. When I was an engineer, situations of heavy pressure were best served by being to the point. And with the exception of a few brief stints of command, I had been an engineer for a very long time. Old habits die hard."
That said, he clarified his question. "I've no worry of your level of readiness. I've been slipping in and out of sickbay the past few hours, and I've noted your devotion to the Captain. I am grateful for that. The intent of my question was a preview, as you put it. I don't like walking into a briefing unprepared, particularly when I'm the one conducting it."

T'Brel Peers, the reculisive helms officer, of the USS Nevada was perplexed to hear that their young Ferengi captain had just suffered a heart attack. Even though he wasn't a medical practioner he found it rather odd for someone so young to have one. Knowing that he wouldn't be able to do anything to help the situation, T'Brel stayed at his post where orders were likely to come in.
"Acting Captain Trek to all Senior Staff. Mission briefing in one hour. Trek out."
T'Brel was pleased to hear Commander Dantrek as acting captain. Serving in Section 47 for a few years now, T'Brel was well informed of the heriocs performed by the former Omicron and Raven's commanding officer. He knew that Commander Dantrek was the best person to cover for Captain Nack.
"Computer how long will a Level four diagnostic of the helm control take?" T'Brel asked wanting his department to be at maximun efficency.
"A Level four diagnostic will take approximately one hour, fifteen minutes, and three seconds."
"Begin Level four diagnostic," T'Brel said as he rose from his seat and walked into the briefing room. Even though it would not begin for another hour, T'Brel was sure that he would be able to keep his mind occupied.
