The rushed briefing given by the Trill Admiral suggested that he was not happy at coming late to the room Seth was secretly thankful the Admiral had been late.. The Wezean had arrived ten minutes late himself, much to the disgruntlement of the other senior staff of whom Commander Park was the most senior present. With the Section Admiral's departure, Commander Trek had been given command but he was not present, much to the confusion of those that were here.
"So any questions. If not we need to depart immediately." Lin said.
Seth had never met a Klingon before. He imagined himself standing face-to-face with Ch'Lork. What would this grizzled old warrior look like? Perhaps describable as 'old school' according to old Earth phrases, this Klingon was looking for revenge and probably revelling in his defiance of the treaty - not to mention attacking a world given to the Tholians by the Federation in allied Federation space.
Seth replied, "No sir," to Magellan Lin and with a nod at Park the Admiral dismissed them. The Nevada's acting first officer stayed behind, talking to the Admiral, while the rest left the briefing room. Seth sighed as he exited alongside his fellow staff members. Mixed feelings were amok in his head. Wanting to occupy his attention with a mission yet doubly yearning for rest, and a lengthy period of it at that.
He watched his fellow officers, and saw that they were heading in the direction of the docking ring again. Seth knew the Nevada was nearly ready to depart. All they had to do was board it and complete final checks, then wait for the Ambassadors to board safely and with no trouble. Commander Littlewood walked ahead, wanting to get to the ship early to deal with problems in the engine department. Seth walked with Sarlina Vise and Lilyanna Parker. Two fellow Lieutenants, now that Parker had been graduated to the rank of Lieutenant Junior Grade.
"What do you make of this you two?" He asked a little bluntly, stepping between them as they headed back to the Nevada. "Ship availability must be tight if the Nevada is being recruited as soon as she returns."

The Romulan panted for breath, his shirt sticking to his back. He had long since discarded his robe and over-shirt, which were lying crumpled in a heap, not far away. He circled his Tholian opponent, wincing every odd step; his bare arms were covered in bruises from where Lovine had managed to strike, but he knew Lovine had suffered a few strikes herself. Still, she seemed to be winning this battle, and he didn't mind at all.
Lovine proved to be a worthy opponent, and it had taught him a great deal about her fighting skill. Equally, Tedak believed that Lovine must've learned a great deal about his style too. Shifting his dagger to his right hand, he ran his left through his hair, then shifted the weapon back. He crouched low, ducking under one of Lovine's swipes, grimacing as his injury played up. While Lovine had seen to his injury, it was far from healed, and the Tholian was very much taking advantage of that knowledge.
He rolled, swiping out his arm to strike his oppononent, but Lovine danced out of the way, quite gracefully for a Tholian wearing an armoured suit. Mid-roll, he felt himself being kicked and, brought out of balance, he sprawled in the sand. The Tholian towered over him, ready to finish the duel, when Vebn's voice suddenly cut through to the combatants.
The Romulan slowly got to his feet, listening as the older Romulan ordered him to the Nevada, assigning him as the observing diplomat for this mission, immediately. "I would not be surprised if you were to come as well," Tedak observed, as he pulled his sleeveless robe back on, not bothering to put on the other shirt. "I guess I will request a moment to change, once we are aboard Nevada, Vebn did sound urgent."
Grinning, he tucked his dagger away. "You fight well," he commented, as he straightened his robe.
Minutes later, a disheveled and bruised looking Romulan and a fairly untouched-looking Tholian reported to the Nevada. The Romulan almost smiled as he announced his presence, glancing around in wonder as he'd never been on an Akira-class vessel before.

Tholians Heard of 'em Hate 'em
Dr. Lucy Grey stepped from the civilian transport onto a landing port and became Lt.Cmdr. Lucille Grey in an instant. Her shoulders straightened automatically with pride.
From being Lucy, grand-daughter of Vice Admiral Grey to a Lt. Commander and Chief Medical Officer of the Neveda was soothing.
Soothing.
What a dumb word. Lucy took a deep breath trying to calm herself. She knew she'd been gone too long for Starfleet to forgive her. Being a senior officer was an excuse. They *had* to forgive her. Almost a Commander. Her head sunk into her chest without thought. Almost.
Could have been a Commander. Should have been by now.
"Cmdr. Grey?"
"What?" Lucy didn't look up. There were too many ensigns trying to gain her attention. Too many Yeomen wanting a Lieutenent Commander to sign off on their entrance exam attempt.
"Cmdr. 1st. Class Park requests your presence. I will guide you."
Her soul wavered. Her right leg jerked forward. Lucille "call me Lucy" Grey forced herself to follow.

Magellan looked at Parks a moment,
"Your a fine officer Parks but as ranking officer and as this is a delicate mission I will be commanding - you will remain my XO. Commander Dantrek is going ashore this mission, reassignment. If that's all I would like you to give you chance to assemble your crew and allow us to get underway. Have the helmsman set a course for the Betreka Nebula - maximum warp. I ll also need you to come up with some ways to handle Ch'lork from a tactical perspective. My orders are detain not destroy. Perhaps work with engineering?"
TAG Parks
"Okay very good. Carry on. I ll be in the ready room contact me once we are in warp."
Magellan nodded to the rest of the assembled staff and left to pack a bag and get aboard the Nevada.

Vebn sat in his office hands steepled beneath his chin. He had just learned from one of his informants that Magellan had formulated a plan to apprehend Ch'lork and in doing so no doubt save the peace talks.
He pondered a moment as to what would be best for the Romulan Empire. He decided that the war was definitly in their interests. The conflict was destabilising the Tholians, Klingons and the Federation and was economically beneficial as they were selling weapons to both sides.
He suspected Magellan had more up his sleeve but... he cogitated a moment further and then decided to cover himself and have someone on the ground to make the Romulan case should Magellan succeed. he tapped his comm unit.
"Tedak. I have learned of Magellan's plans. He is going to arrest Ch'lork when he does it is likely to herald an end to the war. I want you to be on hand on teh Nevada when that happens to represent the Romulan Star Empire. And be quick I think she leaves soon"
He tagged off the comm without a reply, knowing Tedak would obey happily or otherwise.
Time now to cover their options.
"Nelon. Do we still have those cracked Klingon communication codes?"
"Yes"his aide replied, keying in a security number and bringing up the frequencys.
"Excellent" Vebn replied, "Leave me"
He waited until Nelon had left and then reactivated the comm using a scrabbled secure line.
"General Ch'lork he greeted over the voice only comm line - I have some information that may be of use to you."

"Understood Sir. I will assist you in any way." Jon said knowing that was coming. ~Don't worry Jon you will get that command one day.~
Jon was just leaving the briefing when he saw the turbo lift open and out walked his CMO Doctor Grey. " Commander Grey welcome back. The Nevada has missed you."
<Tag Lucy>
"Sir, good to be back. Is the briefing over?"
"Yes commander you did. Admiral Lin will be coming with us. We will be looking for a rouge Klingon ship." Jon said as he entered the turbo lift and ordered. "USS Nevada" Jon continued after a short time. "We will be attempting to capture but i believe they won't go down with out a fight. So i believe we will have some injuries to tend too. Any questions Commander?"
<Tag Lucy>
They reached the docking port where the Nevada was docked and they both entered. They split at the junction since they were on the deck where sickbay was. Jon entered the turolift. "Bridge." As the lift went up Park started to think about the past again with his sister.
15 years ago-----------------------------------------------------------
Jon was hiding behind a set of creates watching some Klingon's load there shuttle. Jon looked to see if he could what main ship this crew was connected with. Jon knew he was going to be going to the academy in the fall, however his sister was more important the following the family tradition.
Jon saw a box marked spare parts and jumped inside. the create was picked up and he heard some Klingon's talking he could tell they were loading the create into the hold. 20 minutes later he was put in the cargo hold of the Klingon ship, jumping out he moved to the far side of the cargo hold. He had a basic tricorder and universal translator with him. Jon also knew he had a locater beacon similar to the starfleet communicator. He knew he would be located by starfleet when he activated it.
Jon walked out of the hold looking for any signs of his sister. Jon heard some Klingon's in the mess talking and heard his sister was in the brig. Jon headed to the lift and took it to the brig deck.
Present day--------------------------------------------------------------
Jon stepped out and walked across the bridge and sat in the command chair. "Helm when the Admiral and ambassadors are aboard set course for Betreka Nebula - maximum warp." Jon walked to the Ready Room with out hearing the helm officers reply. Jon knew it would be done he need to talk to his sister.

"After you," Seth said sheepishly to Parker and Vise as they reached the docking vestibule. The Nevada's navigation officer and Counselor stepped through first, thanking Seth with a laugh; the Ops officer followed them in. They had returned to the ship then, and a very brief time it had been off it. Seth in fact had been on and off the ship twice since his coming off the Bartlet, moored in a dock on the other side of the station.
It was with a slight sense of alarm that the Wezean realised that the rest of the senior staff and the Admiral Lin - as well as some of the ambassadors - had boarded the vessel already. He made his way hurriedly to the bridge, paying attention to his presentation. His uniform had not been changed since before he'd gone over to the Bartlet with Lieutenant Hasak. He made a hardly forgettable mental-note to change it after he'd shown himself on the bridge per obligation.
Straightening his rough, wiry hair as best as he could and rubbing his chin proudly - but knowing that it would cause disapproval - feeling the rough stubble, Seth stepped on to the bridge. Immediately he had to duck out of the way of a Romulan. The green-blooded man wearing what looked like Ambassadorial robe was standing not far out of the turbolift with his back to Seth, evidently not long out of the turbolift himself. Seth squeezed past the Ambassador, smiling as best he could when he felt the Romulan's eyes lay on him. Seth knew this wouldn't do, and when he saw the other ambassador in front and to the left of the Romulan he had to stop just for a double-take.
"Ambassadors," he said as he turned to face them. Only now did he see that the Romulan Ambassador looked rather worse for wear. And meanwhile, the pristine Tholian in its (his/hers?) bulky encounter suit was standing still as a statue and seemingly unscathed. "Welcome, sirs. Lieutenant Helacaan, Ops Chief."
Surreptitiously, Seth glanced down to the command area at Park; as he thought the Commander was making his towards the ready room probably to see the Admiral. In that case, it was time for the Ops chief to step up: "Ambassadors, would you like me to assign someone to guide you to your respective quarters?"
<Tag Tedak & Lovine>
As the ambassadors politely issued their responses, the Nevada jumped to warp, on a course for the Betreka nebula.

|USS Nevada |Deck 4
It had been a while since she'd seen Cmdr. Park but he hadn't changed much. Maybe another stress line under his eyes. The scar was still there. Which meant that her nurses hadn't convinced him to have it removed.
"Admiral Lin will be coming with us.
"Not at this time, sir. Yeoman Baris gave me a padd with the briefing agenda on it. I'll read it when I get the chance. Probably will have the entire meeting on it by the time I get to my office. All I heard about was Klingons fighting with Tholians. If it comes down to helping one or the other, you need to know that I'll favor the Klingons."
They reached the docking port where the Nevada was docked and they both entered. They split at the junction since they were on the deck where sickbay was. Jon entered the turolift. "Bridge."
Lucy sighed lightly, looked around at the clean white reception area then walked slowly into the medical ward. To her left was the corridor leading to her office, to the right the main exam areas and around that to surgical units, morgue, nurses and doctors lounge as well as several small shared staff offices. In her minds eye she saw it all as it was laid out on a grid.
Stepping smartly to the left, Dr. Grey headed for her office.

"Ambassadors, would you like me to assign someone to guide you to your respective quarters?"
Tedak turned to Lovine to see what she would say. Personally, he'd rather go by sickbay first as his back was stiffening up again, and he was generally starting to get sore. Yet, it would help to know where his quarters would be, to retire to later.
"That would be acceptable Lieutenant..." he trailed off, requesting the Human's name to be able to properly address him in the future.
"Please allow me to introduce ourselves," he continued, "this is my esteemed collegue, Ambassador Lovine of Tholia. I am Ambassador Tedak, representative of the Romulan Empire." He allowed Helacaan to guide them to their guest quarters, then turned briefly. "Might I request the quickest way to sickbay? I was injured not too long ago, and my sparring session with Ambassador Lovine has not helped much, I fear."
~
A little later, the bedraggled Romulan walked into sickbay, as dignified as was possible. "Doctor, I require a medical check-up," he stated formally, "though my injuries were seen to, they were not done so by a trained medic. I believe I have a broken rib or two and despite being treated, they are starting to smart."
The Romulan waited patiently for Doctor Grey to respond. Fortunately, he carried a PADD with his medical history for instances like this. "I have no allergies, but I have a history with injuries like this," he explained, as he handed his medical file over. "Do you have experience in treating Romulans?" he enquired politely.

"Have I ever?" A bright smile crossed the Romulan's face. "Oh my dear, you aren't telling me you've never been on a holodeck are you? I use them almost daily, either for entertainment, or keep my training up. Perhaps you'd like to join me? After, perhaps, you've helped me fix my rib? I'm sure you can do that much..." Lovine looked over to where Tedak was pointing, moving carefully she found the device that she would need to repair the Romulan, moving back to him she noted he had taken his clothing over his upper body off to aid her in mending him "I practice my fighting skills on the holodeck," he continued to explain, "mostly hand-to-hand and my dagger. I'd be pleased to show you, unless you have a preference for another sort of weapon? Perhaps pitch yours against mine? With the holodeck safeties engaged of course, wouldn't do for diplomats to get hurt in friendly competition, would it?" Lovine continued to move the device up and down slowly near to Tedak’s back, she did not know if she was working it right but the display suggested she was. “Yes, in the present climate i doubt it would look very good at all if either of us was injured. I would be quite interested to see your fighting style, i may find a few new methods to add to my own” Lovine knew that he would either he flattered by that statement or suspicious. As Lovine completed the repair of Tedak’s ribs she indicated to him to show the way to the holodeck.
As they arrived on the holodeck, Tedak began inputting some details and the room around them changed from a bland room with yellow lines to a duelling arena of some kind. Tedak removed a dagger from his clothes and looked to Lovine in a way that told her he was about to ask what sort of weapon she would prefer. Not giving him a chance to ask she moved her hand to the left arm of her suit, pressing a button she pulled out a dagger that had up until then been a part of her suit. The dagger itself was quite bland, a small blade with a slightly curved tip, the handle was the same metal that made up her suit and at the point where the handle met the blade a small circle with a symbol stood out from the blade. Lovine knew Tedak would not know the symbol, but had a Tholian been here she would never have used this blade but as it was only the Romulan and as she preferred this blade to the other she choose to use this. Their duel was a heated and almost equal fight, with Tedak and Lovine both landing their fair share of blows, but as the duel had gone on the Romulan had began to slow in his attacks. As Tedak rolled, swiping out with his arm to strike, Lovine danced out of the way, Lovine knew she could move quite well even with this annoying suit as Tedak’s roll continued Lovine saw an opportunity to end this, launching her legs towards him she made him topple and land badly in the sand towering over him, ready to finish the duel, Lovine was angry when Vebn's voice suddenly cut through. "I guess I will request a moment to change, once we are aboard Nevada, Vebn did sound urgent." Lovine replaced her blade into her suit “Yes, he did sound urgent, but i doubt the Nevada will leave without us, that foolish admiral would not wish me not to see his great capture of the Klingon i have no doubt.” Grinning, he tucked his dagger away. "You fight well," he commented, as he straightened his robe. Lovine would have smiled had she lips instead she spoke quickly “As did you, we should do it again sometime” Minutes later, a disheveled and bruised looking Romulan and a fairly untouched-looking Tholian reported to the Nevada.
Lovine looked around the bridge of the Nevada, it seemed too big for any practical use, you could not moved quickly from one station to another, ‘what if the security officer dies and the moments it takes for someone else to take his place the ship is hit hard?’ the thought moved out of her mind as she continued to wait fro someone to notice her and Tedak’s presence. Finally a officer moved up to them, his rank pips told her he was a commander and the colour of his uniform said he was either operations, security or engineering. "Ambassadors, would you like me to assign someone to guide you to your respective quarters?" Tedak turned to Lovine to see what she would say. I was injured not too long ago, and my sparring session with Ambassador Lovine has not helped much, I fear." Lovine looked to the Romulan, ‘so i was winning because you were injured, i must challenge you again to see if i am truly better than you’ “Ambassador, i will speak to you later, i have duties to attend to. Commander, i ask that anyone wishing to see me knock first and do not enter until i say otherwise” Lovine knew that they would not but she felt like saying it.
<Tag Seth/Tedak>
Lovine entered her quarters and found Kek sitting waiting, he moved to show his displeasure at her little duel with Tedak “’Do not start brother, i am quite capable of protecting myself against one Romulan who is more peaceful then these federation officers”’ moving to her temporary desk she noted a incoming message was waiting, “’how long has this been waiting Kek?”’ Lovine watched as her brother simply shrugged as he left the room, turning to the screen she opened the channel. Lovine looked at an extremely old female Tholian, the symbols on the screen told her who the woman was and that she had to show respect “’Empress Hoeine, what gives me the pleasure of your presence?”’ Lovine knew the empress these days was nothing more than a figure head, but that did not negate from the fact the Empress’s words were law, even the Assembly had difficulties if the Empress spoke against them. The woman looked at Lovine with a look that suggested she was weighing up Lovine, “’I am contacting you because of what the Assembly have began to vote on. They are considering re-activating project Drayl.”’ Had Lovine not been seated she was have fallen at those words “’But i thought me and you had completely ended that project, the people were against it”’ Lovine realised what must have happened, the people’s cry for blood ended the block on the project “’When will the project begin, and where?”’ Lovine knew it was a long shot, but she hoped the empress had not contacted her like this just to tell her one of her weapons that she herself had mothballed and sealed away was about to be used. “’the vote is to ensure it is in position, if another attack occurs the ships with them are ordered to fire them at the nearest Klingon world with a high population.”’ Lovine looked at the screen she could not speak, the words just could not come, before she could the Empress spoke again “’I am sorry Lovine, i could not stop it, i must go, may the strength of Tholia be with you, and may you stop the use of these destructive weapons before we all end up in danger”’ with this the screen went black.
Lovine was in shock, she liked killing, but this went beyond that, she had to act fast, peace was more preferable than that weapon being used. She wished she had destroyed the blasted thing and burned every and all records of it, including the scientists who had made it. Lovine whispered to herself “i must stop them before they unleash a Metagenic weapon or my people will never be forgiven”

Seth idly watched as the ambassadors looked at each other, asking what each other wanted to do. The Wezean wished they could have sorted this earlier, for some reason, something told him that they had not had time, being busy with other types of converse between each other.
"That would be acceptable Lieutenant..." the Romulan ambassador said; Seth urged him on, and then got confused at why the Romulan had trailed off like that. It eventually occurred to him that the Romulan was requesting his name. "Helacaan, sir," Seth said again, had the Romulan forgotten that quickly or had he not been listening properly? Seth knew from personal experience that Romulans could be difficult but this...
He shrugged it off, feeling like laughing at the whole event. He was not naturally touchy with most things - only very particular experiences - so here it was amusement that ruled him
The Romulan introduced himself as Tedak and the Tholian as Lovine. "This way, ambassadors," Seth said as he stepped into the turbolift, nodding to Bovois to take the Ops console. "Your quarters are adjacent to each other, so that you may discuss your important matters." Seth detected a noticeable stiffening in Tedak's stance, while there was almost nothing from the Tholian except a slight shifting of the head. There was little room in the turbolift, the Tholian's encounter suit taking up much room - although the Tholian was the shortest in the turbolift, with Seth roughly in the middle and Tedak being the tallest.
"Might I request the quickest way to sickbay? I was injured not too long ago, and my sparring session with Ambassador Lovine has not helped much, I fear," said Tedak once they'd reached the two quarters. Seth gave them both a quizzical look. In that case he was right, in a sort of way; the two ambassadors had been engaged in some unusual activity. This was an odd change to things; returned from a stressful mission, launched quickly almost desperately on a new one, and immediately greeting two ambassadors between which there was a certain tension.
"Certainly, sir." Seth said, maintaining decorum. "Head to the turbolift from whence we came, order 'main sickbay' and take the first door on the right out of the turbolift. In fact, I might come with you. Assuming everything is to your satisfactory, Ambassador Lovine."
"I ask that anyone wishing to see me knock first and do not enter until i say otherwise" the Tholian responded flatly.
"As you wish, Ambassador. I will ensure your wishes are made known." Seth nodded, and then turned away from the Tholian, walking with Ambassador Tedak to the turbolift. He had heard that Doctor Grey was back aboard the Nevada, and he thought it was about time for a physical. She was well aware of his previously broken bones etc. by now, so he had no qualms at the examination.

|Sickbay exam room reception
A bedraggled Romulan walked into sickbay, as dignified as was possible.
Accepting the medical chart, Dr. Grey nodded her head at Lt. Helacaan before turning her full attention to the ambassador.
"I have extensive experience treating Romulans, Ambassador. At one point I was part of a rescue team." She looked into Tedak's eyes, continuing without expression, "Romulans had captured a small team of our marines. We were successful, I might add. But while on the ship, I treated many Romulans being held prisoner by their own people. I had no idea why and didn't learn enough of the language to find out."
<Tedak>
"As a matter of fact, we had left our communicators behind. The universal translator would have come in very handy. Several times I'd wished I had hidden it on my person. But we would have been found out sooner. As it was, we made our escape easily."
Lucy almost smiled. It hadn't been very easy at all. The Romulans were a formidable enemy. The three-man rescue team were discovered almost as soon as they found the Romulan brig. After treating the marines and unwilling to release the Romulan prisoners without knowing what they were being held for, Lucy had taken time to heal the wounds she could in the time allowed which turned out to be 4 hours. Time enough to learn a great deal.
<Tedak>
Checking the overhead bio cluster against the handheld scanner, Lucy grinned. "Two ribs broken, one cracked. At least this time. I'm seeing several healed breaks. It seems you make a habit of getting beat up. Try to take better care next time, huh? Or wear heavier padding."
<Tedak>
<Helacaan>
"Sorry to keep you waiting, Seth. I'll be finished here in just a second." Turning back to Tedak, the doctor signaled a nurse to assist. "Ambassador, I'm about to place a bone knitter around your torso. Try not to move. I don't want to give you a sedative. It's still uncertain which of them will give us the best result and I know that Romulans have a high tolerance for pain. Not that the knitter is painful but it will be uncomfortable while it repairs the bone."
<Tedak>
"About 20 minutes. Longer if you move around," Lucy answered. She turned her head toward Lt. Helacaan. "Seth, your turn. Right over there, please," Lucy pointed to the adjoining bio bed. As he sat, leaning slightly forward to maintain his balance, Dr. Grey asked, "Any complaints? Or is this just your way of saying Hi?"

"I'm sure you did the best you could for them doctor," the Romulan answered pleasantly, as he sat on the indicated biobed. "And if you desire, I can help you with the language, I assure you I'm quite fluent. However, wasn't the universal translator of any use to you?"
"As a matter of fact, we had left our communicators behind. The universal translator would have come in very handy. Several times I'd wished I had hidden it on my person. But we would have been found out sooner. As it was, we made our escape easily."
Tedak nodded; Romulans weren't exactly known for their hospitality towards prisoners, especially if they were Starfleet. Overall, his species was known to be quite xenophobic, a fact he resented. "What's the verdict doctor?" he asked, keeping his voice pleasant.
"Two ribs broken, one cracked. At least this time. I'm seeing several healed breaks. It seems you make a habit of getting beat up. Try to take better care next time, huh? Or wear heavier padding."
"I was sparring with Ambassador Lovine, no beating up was involved. The holodeck safeties were engaged. My ribs were broken during a conference. A Tholian attendant tripped, knocked Ambassador s'Khellian off his feet, who in turn knocked against me. I fear I had a somewhat nasty fall." He smiled. "However, Lovine does fight well, and she did show me all corners of the court, I suppose. I'm putting it on being out of shape due to injury. I promise you though, I haven't lost my skill. I showed her too, ask her." His smile widened.
"I'm familiar with the device doctor. My ex-wife is a healer on Assailant, I assure you, she's tended to me a fair number of times. In fact, it is how we met in the first place. As for my tolerance of pain, I assure you that it's a myth. I can control it if I need to, because I'm trained to do so, but only when I direly need to, as it requries immense concentration on my part."
He sat perfectly still as the cool hands of the doctor touched the bare skin on his arms, and suppressed a shiver. The device was uncomfortable, but he wasn't about to admit it. "How long will this take?" he enquired, "and perhaps you should give me a sedative. I'm not a patient man, when it comes to the mending of injuries. I'm hardly traditional, that I want all healed the natural way. Please, be quick about it, I have duties to attend to."

With the Ambassadors safely aboard and being shown to their quarters Magellan allowed himself to relax a bit.
"Okay Mr Parks. This is your ship you have the conn until such time as we intercept Ch'Lork. Have your nav officer prepare a search route radiating out from Aenvolis and the nebula. I can't imagine a Negh'var cruiser would to too difficult to find. I ll be in talks with the Ambassadors."
TAG Parks
Magellan made his way down the ship to the Ambassadors quarters. Commander Hellacan was already present seeing to their needs.
"Commander, a moment please"
Seth looked up and walked over.
"Yes sir?"
"The critical member of this diplomatic entourage is Lovine. We need to ensure the Tholians do not retalliate against the Klingons. Therefore we need to keep her happy. I want you to act as a liason. Make sure Lovine has everything she needs. And Commander monitor comms traffic. Don't block it but I don't want her calling down any Tholian reinforcements when we find Ch'lork. This is a federation matter and I want it to stay as such."
TAG Seth
"Good I ll see Major Korok first. Oh a word to the wise about him - make sure he doesnt get any alcohol. I want him clear of thought. If he does have the Doctor on hand to sober him up."
TAG Seth
Magellan left the commander and entered the Klingons quarters.
"Korok we need to talk" he said confidently "I need to know that the Empire stands by us in apprehending Ch'lork."
Korok grimaced, "Ch'lork is doing his job as a member of the Klingon Empire."
"A job the Chancellor has distanced from himself. I need to know the the Empire will not retalliate on the Federation when we arrest him"
Korok growled, "If you stick to the deal we discussed then no we won't. Betray us and all will pay in blood"
"I expect nothing less." Magellan replied and left the Klingon who slumped down into his chair.
Next he apporached the Tholian delegation.
"Ambassador Lovine. Could I have a word. I have a deal to propose."

OOC: Admiral Lin, my rank is Lieutenant. "Are you ready for me yet?" Seth asked the Doctor, his wish to remain polite eventually being drowned by his anxiousness to get the physical out of the way. "Sorry to keep you waiting, Seth. I'll be finished here in just a second."Helacaan tapped his foot impatiently, beginnning to eye the sickbay's exit more and more. He wouldn't actually leave of course, for that would be impolite and he wouldn't want to upset the Doctor, especially considering her recent return to the ranks of the Nevada crew. He looked around the sickbay. Not much had changed in the time between Doctor Grey's heading out on leave and her recent return. No change in layout, but then Seth supposed, an Akira class was not the Federation's main focus when it came to maintaining medical departments' tech level. Seth stopped from his wander around sickbay next to a biobed. He cocked his head, something about that last thought had been oddly familiar. "Seth, your turn. Right over there, please." Seth sat on the biobed next to the one he'd stopped by, hunched his shoulders and swung his legs loosely, almost like a bored infant. "Any complaints?" Dr.Grey asked. "Or is this just your way of saying hi?""Both I guess," he said, smiling jokingly. "I thought I'd accompany Ambassador Tedak to the sickbay, and figured it would be a good time to have my physical done. Aside from the usual aches, legs, back and my.. front, no complaints at all. I guess you've still got to scan me though?" <tag Grey> Seth headed for the exit once the physical was complete; he turned around on his way to the door. "It has been good to see you again Doctor," he said to Lucy Grey. Then he simply left, leaving the remark hanging, feeling it was sufficient. He decided that, in heading back to the bridge, he would stop by the Ambassadors' quarters again. As well as the Romulan and Tholian he had already met, there was also - amongst others - a Klingon Ambassador and of course a representative of the Federation also. Seth received advice that the Klingon and Tholian's quarters should be separated by a deck or two - or three, which was why Ambassador Korok's quarters were located separately from Tedak's and Lovine's. Upon arriving, he proceeded to lurk outside the two quarters, checking that nothing was amiss without causing the Tholian Lovine unnecessary trouble - just as requested. The Wezean was finally given something to do when he saw Admiral Lin approaching hastily from around the corner of the corridor. Seth listened intently to Lin's instructions, and simultaneously felt the weight of responsibility laying on his shoulders part by part. Liaison to the Tholian Ambassador... that was hardly his area of expertise, particularly when he knew little of the Tholians' personality. Still, this was an Admiral, to defy orders would be the equivalent of a Starfleet death sentence. "While I am hardly a diplomat, sir, I shall do as you order. I will prevent the Ambassador from calling in 'friends', but do not expect me to socialise in matters of politics with her, simply because I cannot." Lin seemed to appreciate this and then effectively gave Seth an order to watch the Klingon representative closely as well. While he could forgive the Admiral for mistaking him for someone of the rank of Commander, it did not sit well with him that he was 'babysitting' the Ambassadors. Still, sacrifices were necessary if they wanted to stop this war for good. "Sickbay, this is Helacaan. The Klingon Ambassador, quarters on deck 8 section 13A, just to inform you that he may need to be cured from alcohol intoxication and poisoning at some point. I will call again if that situation should arise. Just, be prepared." Seth hesitated then clicked off his commbadge, he was feeling rather jaded with all this. <tag Grey> Seth entered the bridge five minutes later, content that Lovine was fully catered for in her needs. He would likely be calling on her soon, but keeping tabs on her quarters from the bridge Ops console was as good a place as any to watch for trouble, when not actually in the Tholian's abode. "Sir," he said to Park who was now standing in the command area, organising the search for the Klingon warship. "The Ambassadors are secure, what can I do to assist in the search? Long-range sensors are available but we'd have no idea where we'd be looking for this ship." <tag Park>

OOC: this is anoher JP between myself and Tedak
IC: Lovine began passing the length of her quarters think about what the empress had said, she was panicking and just when she thought things could not get worse, worse walked through the door. Lovine watched as the records officer moved around the room to come up to her “Ambassador, that was a very neat trick you pulled during the talks, i am very embarrassed now so i hope you will not try it again” Lovine looked at the man and laughed “Like i had anything to do with you being unable to walk better than a two year old human” Lovine felt happy when the records officer moved in a way to show his anger before he moved away towards the replicator “You know your highness, for a possible future empress you sure do act like a human.” Lovine snapped “I told you never to speak my true title, let alone mention that, get out!” the records officer began to move to the door “remember that there are some who would want nothing more than to see your entire family dead” with that last statement Lovine forcibly kicked the records officer out the door. Lovine walks away from the door, furious at her records officer 'how dare he threaten me, and with that little information as well' Lovine was angry but she calmed down after remembering the comm. from earlier. Lovine stood thinking for some time before she decided who she would ask for help from. Pressing a button on the consol to open a channel to sickbay she hoped he was still there. "Ambassador Tedak this is Lovine, when you are done, would you come by my quarters, i have a few things to discuss with you?"
"Give me a moment ambassador, I will be with you as soon as I can get dressed." Tedak was glad he was almost done, and when he was he quickly pulled his tunic back on, rearranged his robe, gave the doctor a polite nod and smile, then walked out of sickbay. A few minutes later, he entered Lovine's quarters. "You wished to see me, madam ambassador?"
Lovine looked at the Romulan, "Yes, please come in, these words are not for an open door I fear" Lovine showed Tedak in and offered the one chair in the room "It is of no use to me, these human chairs are not designed for my frame sadly"
The Romulan laughed. "Indeed not, though perhaps you could have one designed for you that would be comfortable." He sat down, folding his hands in his lap. "I presume that by closed door, you mean this is in confidence?" Lovine laughed "I will have to do that but later, yes what i am about to tell you is something that is above classified to my people" Lovine moved around to look out the window at the streaky surroundings "As you know my people are in an outrage against this attack by the Klingon's. They are pushing for an attack on a level we have never before used" Lovine turned to look at Tedak "I serve my people Tedak, not my government yet what they are suggesting would put us at odds with the rest of the civilisations on this ship. What would you do in this situation?"
"I'd follow my own conscience," he answered, "which would be to go talk to Lin. Trust me, I have been in such a situation only recently, and it put me at odds with my own people, but it saved lives in the end." He rose to his feet. "May I use your replicator?"
Lovine listened carefully to Tedak's words, 'maybe he is right', suddenly realising he had asked a question himself she quickly answered "Of course, while you are there could you get me a drink, Lovine program 12 or 13 will do thank you"
Tedak nodded, walked over to the replicator and ordered the desired drink for Lovine, then decided to order the same for himself, curious about the beverage. He handed one glass to the Tholian then held up his own. "To future relations," he offered, sipping the alien drink. He coughed a few times. "What exactly is this?"
Lovine laughed "It is an old drink that is customary amongst my family to drink amongst special friends. The initial taste of it is quite strong but its after taste is much sweeter" Lovine said this as the sweetness entered her mouth 'or at least what one would take as her mouth.
"Ah. Well I'm always open to try something new. I'm sure my curiosity will be the end of me one day." He smiled as he sipped it again, with the same result. "Strong indeed. Anyway, was this all you wished to discuss? Or was there more to it?"
Lovine took another sip "My people are much like your own Tedak, we have valued our isolation for centuries, it is only now that the Kasan have forced us to move into others territory. I am sure your people have done some terrible things to maintain you way of life, but i fear that even that will pale in comparison. I will take your advice, but until i do i would prefer you not speak of this to anyone, particularly about the Mutagenic Weapons" Lovine realised she had never said about the weapons and now wished she never had.
"Mutagenic weapons?" The Romulan sat up a little straighter, setting his glass down on the table. "I will hold my silence, with one exception, I will speak up if this threatens my people."
Lovine nodded "That term i will accept, but i can assure you at present the Romulan people are the closest thing to an ally to the Assembly and they will not attack your people, it is planned to be used on the Klingon people" Lovine looked down with shame.
"Then we must do all we can, to prevent an attack. They will retaliate, and I'm sure the Federation will support it if needed. I don't know that my people will approve such an attack, it is without honour. You must tell Lin."
Lovine looked up "I agree, it was i myself that had the weapons placed into cold storage, but my people are in a rage and with little but blood to cure that rage the Assembly are beginning to undo the laws that were passed to prevent an attack. I will summon Lin now, your words have shown me that i was correct about the other government's reactions to such an attack"
"I aim to serve." The Romulan bowed slightly, glad to be able to do so again without agony. "I will be in my quarters, if you have further need of me. I believe we have adjacent quarters. If Lin needs confirmation of your words, call me."
Lovine bowed lower than was proper for her status but she felt the need "I thank you Tedak, i hope this will not stand between us in the future" Lovine began to show Tedak to the door when she noticed the room shake a little.
Tedak nodded once more, almost collided with Lin as he walked out, then walked back to his own quarters, then passed out on his couch. The drink had been too potent for his system to handle, and he'd have quite a headache when he'd wake up again later.
Lovine was shocked when Admiral Lin walked trhough the door as Tedak left, Lovine did not offer the admiral a place to sit nor did he wait for her to speak instead he spoke first "Ambassador Lovine. Could I have a word. I have a deal to propose." Lovine began to feel the room was moving around her, ‘is this normal on a human ship?’ “of course, there is also something i must discuss with you” Lovine was about to tell Lin what she had told Tedak when she felt her entire body seize, Lovine knew what was happening for it had happened only a few months prior, she was feeling the effects of her body reacting to a deadly poison in her system. Before she could take a step or speak she fell to the floor. The last thing she heard was admiral Lin calling for a medical and security team.

"Yes admiral and no i wouldn't think it would be hard to find one." Park was about to correct him about his last name but decided not too. Jon walked out of the ready Room and headed to the command Center of the bridge. "Helm Set course for Aenvolis. Start a search patter working our way from the nebula and outward." Jon sat in the command chair and turned to Commander Thomas who has taken over as Acting CSTO until the Nevada received a new Co and XO or a New CSTO.
Jon was over looking a Padd about 15 mins later when Seth came up to him. "Yes Lieutenant." Seth turned and gave him id report. "understood, Set the sensors to locate a Negh'var type class ship i know it won't be hard to find." Jon thought about it a few seconds. "Well you never know with Klingon ships. I just hope things go easier this time."

"Ooh my head!" The Romulan ambassador pushed himself up into a sitting position, pressing one hand against his temples. He kept his eyes closed, for fear the light might be too bright for him to handle. He had no idea how long he'd been unconscious, but he didn't think it had been that long.
It took a moment for him to remember what exactly had happened, and he grimaced. How could he have been so stupid to try a foreign drink he'd never even heard of before?
A cold wind fanned into his face at a steady pace, which he recognised as the beating of wings. Which one of his pets was trying to help him wake up this time? Carefully, he peered through his fingers and spotted brown Nut hovering before him. The firelizard squawked gently, there was no alarm in his eyes, which wheeled lazily in a mix of blue and green.
Carefully, he pushed himself up onto his feet and forced himself into his bathroom. Disoriented, he walked into his bedroom first, remembering then that these were not his own quarters. With effort, he redirected himself, managing to find the desired room on the second attempt. For a minute, he wondered if Lovine would have the same effect from this drink, and he considered calling her.
However, just in time he remembered that Lin had entered just as he had left, and refrained from disturbing her. The Romulan reached the sink just in time, feeling his stomach heave. Grimacing, he splashed a few handfuls of water into his face, then tried to get the foul taste out of his mouth. He felt sick, and he vowed to himself not to try any strange drinks ever again. That is to say, empty an entire glass without researching it's possible effects on Romulan physiology first.
Groaning under his breath, he dragged himself back to the couch, keeping the lights in his quarters low, as the brightness indeed hurt his eyes. Only a few minutes had passed since coming home, but to him, it felt like eternity. The Romulan closed his eyes and let himself drift into sleep, hoping that the next time he'd wake up, he'd be feeling better. Nut circled a few times above his head, before finally settling on his lap, curling into a tiny brown ball, drifting into a doze.

|Sickbay |Exam Room
"Both I guess," [referring to saying Hi to the doctor while getting his physical over with] Seth Helacaan said, smiling jokingly. "I thought I'd accompany Ambassador Tedak to the sickbay, and figured it would be a good time to have my physical done. Aside from the usual aches, legs, back and my.. front, no complaints at all. I guess you've still got to scan me though?"
Giggling, Lucy marveled once again at the male species. No matter what race, they all thought they needed an excuse to come to sickbay. Saying hi to a friend was excuse enough. ~'But no matter, at least they show up.'~
Seth headed for the exit once the physical was complete; he turned around on his way to the door. "It has been good to see you again Doctor," he said to Lucy Grey. Then he simply left, leaving the remark hanging.
Lucy smiled, watched as her nurse gave the Romulan a sedative, then turned her attention to Seth's medical chart. Recent readings were different then the last time he'd been in her sickbay. But, to be honest, not different enough to call him back in for a repeat.
"Sickbay, this is Helacaan. The Klingon Ambassador, quarters on deck 8 section 13A, just to inform you that he may need to be cured from alcohol intoxication and poisoning at some point. I will call again if that situation should arise. Just, be prepared."
"No problem, lieutenant. I have just the thing for him. Grey out."
After releasing Tedak to full active duty (whatever that was), Dr. Grey settled into the routine of physicals for the senior crew and assigning her doctors the junior crew according to rank.
=/\= "Medical emergency. Ambassador Lovine's quarters" =/\=
The message was already being responded to as Lucy spun around to prepare a biobed for the Tholian.
Her heart pounded as she waited for the creature to appear in her sickbay. She didn't like them but had heard good things about their attitude toward aliens - such as humans. That was a generality. Was Lovine the same? Lucy wasn't in a rush to find out but here was the opportunity to learn new things about a new species.
She couldn't pass it up.
The shimmer of Starfleet's transporter showed blue leaving the Tholian laying on a designated emergency biobed. The overhead bio cluster ran through several species' physiology finally settling on the correct one.
"Computer, erect stasis unit; analyze blood gasses," Lucy called out in a flat voice.
Noises behind her tried to invade her concentration. She ignored it.
The computer's equally flat voice came through with an initial diagnosis. "Anaphylactic Shock, high iron content, blood pressure dropping."
"Computer, who was with our patient at the time of her collapse?"
"Admiral Magellan Lin."
~'Well, it's not possible that Lin created the situation, but I'm not taking chances.'~
=/\= "Dr. Grey to Cmdr. Park. The Tholian ambassador is in sickbay. Possible poisoning. Maybe allergic reaction." Lucy shook her head and said softly, "Hell, I don't know what's wrong. But I will soon." Raising her voice, she continued, "Jon, place Admiral Lin under security surveillance. You'll have my preliminary report in 30 minutes. Grey out. =/\=
<TAG: Park>
=/\= "Then come to sickbay. I'm not going to broadcast problems over an open airwave." =/\=

"Understood, set the sensors to locate a Negh'var type class ship i know it won't be hard to find." Seth nodded, moving to his station as Park continued, "Well you never know with Klingon ships. I just hope things go easier this time."
"Yes sir," Seth said, taking the Ops console back from Bovois and going about setting up his scans. He frowned. "Easier this time, sir? Have you fought Klingons before?" I didn't make too much sense to Seth; as far as he knew Klingons had been allies of the Federation since the late twenty-third century, just over a hundred years ago in fact.
<tag Park>
As Park offered his reply, Seth's console received an emergency call from below deck. Namely, from the Admiral himself who was in the Tholian Ambassador's quarters. Already stunned, Seth was about to relate the news to Park when Doctor Grey informed him directly over a commline from sickbay, apparently it was believed the Tholian had been poisoned. Helacaan felt a confusing pseudo-guilt; he felt like others were clearing up a mess he'd left, even thought that was ridiculous as he'd had nothing to do with Lovine's seemingly sudden collapse. The Wezean was supposed to be liaison to this female alien, although that responsibility did not of course extend to personal bodyguard.
A medical team was already on the way to sickbay then; Seth chose to focus on his scan calibration for finding the Klingon warship until told to do otherwise. Commander Park and Commander Thomas coordinated in sending security teams to the Tholian's quarters.
As liaison to the stricken Tholian, Seth did find himself recruited to go down there, while Park answered the summons from Doctor Grey to come to sickbay.
<tag Park & Grey in sickbay>
The Ops chief followed the security team, walking in the middle behind a group of four of them - who all had hands ready down by their phaser holster. They approached Lovine's abode; the door was wedged open and the Tholian was of course already beamed to sickbay. Admiral Lin was nowhere to be found, it was quite deserted bar one blue collared ensign who was going about scanning parts of the floor and walls with a tricorder. Whatever the commotion had been when the Tholian had first been found, it had evidently been a short affair.
Seth went to enter, but looked back at the expectant security crewmen standing just behind him. "Wait outside," he said. He walked in and looked around briefly. Lovine had not made herself at home too much yet, the place was still rather bare; but then Seth had no idea what Tholians considered aesthetically pleasing.
"Ensign," he greeted the blue collared officer.
"Sir," he replied, "Just running some forensic scans."
Seth nodded, quickly realising that he wasn't doing much good here. He twisted around, noticing the bored security, "Let us check on the Romulan Ambassador," he said to them, making a cutting motion with his hand towards the adjacent quarters.
"It's locked," a security guard said, frowning at the door mechanism, "My usual override isn't working." Seth checked the panel himself, soon reaching the conclusion that his wasn't going to work either. Odd.. he thought vacantly. Eventually, they resorted to wedging the door open by force. Inside they found an asleep Romulan Ambassador with what looked like some odd brown pet on his lap, rising and falling with the unconscious Romulan's breathing.
"Ambassador," Seth said. The Romulan barely even stirred. "Ambassador Tedak," he said with a little more force. Eventually the Romulan did move, opening his eyes tiredly. Even though security crew had forced their way into his quarters, it had taken him a while to come 'round. Tedak stood, rubbing his head and murmuring something Seth could not hear. Seth frowned, if he were in a different place - home perhaps - from the way Tedak was acting he would have thought he was 'hungover' so to speak.
"Ambassador are you alright? Are you aware that Ambassador Lovine has been taken to sickbay with suspected poisoning. The Admiral was witness to her losing consciousness."
The security stood behind Seth in an almost flanking formation; although it was not really their intention, it would make the most hardy of people believe they were being put in an intimidated position.

Jon snapped out of his stare to address Seth. "Sorry Lieutenant i have a history with Klingon's. They can be crafty if they want to be." Jon saw Seth head to his OPS console and started to get the scanners set. Jon's combadge chirped just as a alarm was going off on Seth's console
=/\= "Dr. Grey to Cmdr. Park. The Tholian ambassador is in sickbay. Possible poisoning. Maybe allergic reaction. Jon, place Admiral Lin under security surveillance. You'll have my preliminary report in 30 minutes. Grey out. =/\=
Jon was just about to give orders when Doctor Grey added. =/\= "Then come to sickbay. I'm not going to broadcast problems over an open airwave." =/\= Jon replied "Understood Doctor i will be down shortly."
Jon turned to Commander Thomas and said "Commander Thomas take a security team and post them to Admiral Lin, Make sure they understand watch but no interaction. If Lin orders them different have them tell him it's under my orders for his safety." Thomas nodded and headed out. Jon then turned to Seth.
"Lieutenant i understand your the liaison to the Romulian Ambassador. Take care of your obligations to the Ambassador first the sensor can come later. Check the Tholian's Quarter's first." Turning to the Helm "Ensign Parker you have the bridge, I'll be in sickbay." Jon walked to the lift and entered and said "Sickbay." as he entered sickbay Doctor Grey was working on the Ambassador.
"Doctor Report." Wow still felt weird having to say it to the crew. Park understood that this was the how command was. Park walked over to where the doctor was standing by the Ambassador's Bio-Sign's.

Groggily, the Romulan rose to his feet, barely catching Nut in time. The little brown made a scowling sound and took wing, finding a perch elsewhere. The light was still too bright on his eyes and he barely registered the forced door.
"Ambassador are you alright?"
"I'm fine lieutenant, just a headache," the Romulan replied, taking a few seconds to let the words register. A whole flood of words followed after the initial question and it took him several minutes to get his brain to sort the blur of words into phrases.
"Are you aware that Ambassador Lovine has been taken to sickbay with suspected poisoning. The Admiral was witness to her losing consciousness."
"She was what?" He shook his head in disbelief. "She was fine when I left her. We had a drink and then I retired to my quarters." He took a few deep breaths. "And some drink that was. Poisoned you said? How? When? Surely you don't think Lin would.."
He trailed off, staring at the young lieutenant in disbelief. "No, Lin certainly wouldn't. Ahh, you think I did...no I didn't. Why would I want to kill her?" He shook his head again, rubbing his temples. "Oh my head, what a mess." He tilted his head a little, as if in thought. "I presume you'll want me somewhere for questioning? I passed out as soon as I came home, I don't know how much time has passed since. I'm sure you'll want to investigate that. While I have diplomatic immunity, I assure you I'll work with you as best as I can. How is Lovine? Did she survive? Will she be all right?" He didn't want any opportunity to spar again ruined over this; he found himself liking the Tholian diplomat, even though it excaped him on why he did.

Magellan could hardly believe what was happening. He had thought bringing the Ambassador aboard the Nevada was the safest thing to do and the only way to end a war. Now this had happened and all his plans no looked to be coming to nothing.
He was also none too pleased by the babysitting presence of Commander Thomas. He wasnt entirely sure if he was being protected or watched.
"Come on then" he stated dryly to the Commander. He went first to Sickbay where he discovered that the Doctor was still treating Lovine and had no time for him. He spotted Lieutenant Hellacan, and motioned for him to join him.
"I believe I asked you to look after our guests. I do not call having them poisoned doing your duty." Magellan could feel his blood beginning to boil, "This needs resolving now. Tell your doctor to check for Romulan chemical signatures." He held up a hand "No I am not saying Tedak did it but I for one am not trusting anything. Check also with Korok, Its not his style, his a half wit but you never know."
TAG Seth
"I want answers Lieutenant and I want them soon or else you ll be transferred to Tug duty faster than you can blink and that will be the end of your career. Thomas follow me."
The Commander looked at Seth and shrugged falling into step behind the Admiral.
The bridge was not especially busy as Magellan arrived and it didnt take him long to locate Parks, "What kinsd of loose ship do you run here mister. No don't answer that, you may incriminate yourself and in doing self book yourself a bunk beside Lt Hellacan on the tug. Where is Ch'lork? Why havent we found him yet?"

Ch'lork remained motionless in his command chair. The Nevada could be seen to hang in space in front of his cloaked ship. A thousand possibilities ran through his head.
The Federation were their allies but very weak and cowardly had remained neutral in the war. But this ship was bold, it had come to challenge him. Challenge HIM a Dahar Master. If the Romulan hadnt warned him he imagined that the Nevada would have surprised him and his ship would have been destroyed as he certainly wouldnt have surrendered. Not a very glorious death.
He could of course skulk away back over the border in Klingon Space or cross federation territory into Tholian space. But the first seemed cowardly and teh Chancellor had made it clear he was an old relic and the other was too risky.
He had however been presented with a critical advantage on board that vessel were the only 4 people who were fighting for peace. Without them the war would continue and Ch'lork would be shown as right and that no concession must be given to the Tholian scum.
"Baa'k ready my honour guard. We will seize their ship and slay them all. Hand to hand - they deserve an honourable death. When an opportunity presents itself take down their shields and beam me and my guard aboard. Today is a good day to die."
"Yes liege" Baa'k replied and began to bark orders.
Ch'lork smiled and fingered the hilt of his dak'tahg, there were days when it felt good to be a klingon.

Jon looked shocked as admiral Lin appeared from the turbolift almost as soon as Jon had returned to the bridge with Seth and Commander Thomas in tow. Admiral Lin started to yell at Jon.
"Admiral with all due respect sir, I have a duty to the personal and passengers on my ship as well as the mission. I just arrived on the bridge myself after getting a report from sickbay about our guest there. If i may add you may be in command of the fleet i an attached to, But if you don't calm yourself i will have you restricted to quarters for the rest of this mission for medical reasons, Now if that is all i was just getting a report from the sensor report when you came on the bridge."
All the officers on the deck was shocked Jon had stood up to the Admiral Park thought he saw a little smile from Lin before he just stood back and let Park run his ship. Park turned to Seth who took back his station and said. "Report." Just as Seth started to read off his report the proximity alarm went off.
"Klingon ship declocking off the port stern." Commander Thomas said from the tactical station. "Admiral i suggest you try and speck to them. Commander Thomas Raise Shields, Yellow alert and open a channel."
