Looking over the navigation systems after the last incident, a sub-space message came for the Commander. Seeing how the ship was with-out a tactical officer, the CNO was pulling extra work on communications.
Jamey turned in his chair toward the Commander, "Commander, you have a sub-space message from Cmdr 1C TJ Edwards; marked personal."

Deis blinked for a moment in surprise at the mentioning of her former academy comrade TJ Edwards, but composed herself instantly, nodding and rising from the center seat. "Understood. Savot, pipe tha' message through to the console in my quarters. Ah'll deal with it when I 'ave the time."
The Vulcan Ops chief, seated just beside the new Navigator, nodded without turning from his console and tapped in the necessary commands to carry out the Commander's wishes. Deis herself walked towards the front of the bridge toward the two officers, and when the communique transfer was complete Savot spun to face her in anticipation of her next orders.
Deis put a hand on the back of Savot's chair, leaning slightly to do so though her petite height made it unneccessary. "Al'righ gentlemen, seems we 'ave a minefield filled t' burstin' with scanner trails. That renders our recon plans a bit presumptuous for tha now. However, we may still have somethin' t' gain from splittin' this lady if we can distract those signals while another gets to scannin' hot and heavy."
Savot nodded silently, agreeing as he usually did with Irae's assessment of the situation. Deis smiled a bit at her friend's predictable response, then nodded to each officer in turn. "Mr. Parker, ye'll maintain yer station here on the alpha hull. Savot, if memory serves, mission logs from just before my arrival show ye commandin' the gamma section against the invadin' Borg cube. Ye'll proceed there with Zimmerman now, and await my signal from 'ere. While ye wait, run Zimmerman through some nav sims as he may need a refresher course so t' speak."
Savot immediately idled his console and stood from his station, nodding to Zimmerman to join him as they headed for the turbolift together. "Understood Commander Irae. I will signal you when we are in place." With a final firm nod to the Irish commander, Savot's body was shut from view as the turbolift doors closed with a whoosh and carried both he and the young science chief towards the bottomost section of the mighty Prometheus vessel...

Turning to look at the Commander, Jamey nodded in acceptance and said, “Yes, Sir”
Jamey turned and faced his console, called up the program for separation and readied the warp drive for the alpha section; along with the navigation dish and internal dampening field generators.
Touching the panel, Jamey sent a notice to all ships consoles and workstations telling of the coming separation; this would allow all crew members to ready themselves by going to their appropriate stations.
Turning back to the Commander, Jamey said, “Awaiting further orders, sir”.

OFF: So... are we separating into thirds, or are two-thirds going to stay together?
ON:
Zimmerman and Savot left their stations and headed to the turbolift, other officers already slipping into their seats. The doors closed, and the two officers began the descent.
"I do hope you remember your training, Lt. Zimmerman," said Savot. "It seems there will not be very much time to practice."
"No..." said Kevin, hoping the gamma section would prove as easy as shuttles did. "But you don't have to worry too much," said the science officer, brightening. "I might not be the best in the Federation, but I can get the job done."
"Of that I have no doubt," Savot siad. "It is you tendency to produce... I believe Commander Irae called them 'pranks,'...."
Kevin laughed. "That's off-duty, Savot. At least, after my last attempt to escape duty, it is."
The doors opened. "Time to get cracking, sir," said Kevin merrily.

Arrigh then. Jamey to yer post. Ill take th Main. Savot an Zimmerman be already aboard theirs.
::she watches him walk out and then takes the main chair, hitting a button and bringing up manual controls and taking the shafts in hands. After the seperation sequence is complete she feels strange about it. Her ship is floating in three pieces right now..it makes her grin. She had done this on simulation but this is her first try flying the real thing..and its all she dreamed it could be.::
::Her voice comes over the comms on each third:: =/\=Engage triangulation an scan. I want constant reports o anythin on sensors. =/\=
::a small screen map shows before her all cool and hologram like and she navigates her portion of shipness through and around the beamings that so disrupt the comms and scanners.::
::Deis third of the craft is the furthest away from the planet, so the other twos sensors pick up movement from the planets surface, apparently from atop a mountain. Something heading their way very very quickly...when they appear on sensors they look like great stone/metallic teardrops laying sideways. A beam shines from the very tip of it and with this, Savot and Jameys ship thirds are scanned...the scanners show that your being scanned...then a tractor beam tries to lock on to both::

After the separation, the thirds moved about their assigned sections of space … searching for the cause of the strange occurrences on the planet surface, evidently caused from something from above.
Over the comm system, from the Commanders ship, =/\=Engage triangulation an scan. I want constant reports o anythin on sensors.=/\= Jamey acknowledged the Commander by simple text from this panel while keeping an eye on the tactical sensors.
From out of no were, from Jamey’s view point, come a bright beam from some type of craft. The craft was so small on his sensors that it was almost unreadable. With another comm message from the Commander; “the scanners show that your being scanned”. Linking with the Commanders ship’s sensors, that were collecting data from a different vector, Jamey could see a teardrop shaped ship. Jamey also saw Savot’s ship being scanned as well. ‘Tractor’, Jamey thinks to himself.
Jamey’s third of the El Salvador has a thin side profile, using this to its advantage; Jamey lines the ship so that side is facing the alien craft. Increasing power and changing shield frequencies to keep the tractor from establishing a lock, Jamey locked phasors and fired directly on the point of the tractor emission. This disrupts the alien craft enough for Jamey to plot his escape.
“Jamey to Commander Deis, I have broken away form the craft” while sending a message to Savot of his actions hoping this too will help them brake away from the menacing craft.
“I can’t get a lock on the alien craft from this position; its metallic make up is keeping the computer from getting a firing solution.” Jamey continued to tell Commander Deis. “Did you see where this ship came from … are there any more?”
Turning his third back towards Savot’s last known position … there was nothing there … the alien ship, on sensors anyway, was gone too. “Commander Deis, do you see Savot?” Jamey asked across the comm system. “He was just there”, a short pause, “I don’t have the alien ship on my sensors anymore either” With that said Jamey initiated a sensor sweep of the area and then reported back to the Commander, “I’m not picking up any debris on my sensors, I also do not see any impulse wake nor any type of warp signatures; their just gone.”
“Commander, I believe its time that someone goes down to the surface to talk to these inhabitants; there is more here than meets the eye. Somebody isn’t telling us the whole story.” Jamey said with a frustrated look.

As the tear-drop style probe-ships approach from the planet, Savot taps away rapidly at his console, scanning them as they approach. "Reduce closing speed, Mr. Zimmerman, begin a wide vector around the approaching craft," came his order to Zimmerman who sat at the nav station of the El Salvador's tertiary hull.
Glancing down quickly at the console to confirm his intended set of commands, Zimmerman nodded from his station, "Aye, Commander, coming around."
Savot opened an immediately telemetry with the main hull that housed Commander Irae, immediately tight-beaming her any and all data recovered from the probe. Making sure it got to her completely and as fast as possible, Savot barely glanced at the information himself as each data module flashed across the screen for transmission, but one scan's readings his did pick up, though only someone with experience in Engineering and design would have noticed it...
Just as Savot turned to open a frequency to the other hulls and report his findings, the tractor beams erupted from the tips of the approaching craft, attempting to lock on. "Mr. Zimmerman, evasive pattern alpha-laira-B, now." His voice extra calm in Savot's version of dramatic concentration.
Zimmerman's hands moved well on the console for one who's practice was a little rusty, and pilotting a ship a bit larger than he was used to. However, neither of their efforts were fast enough, and as the hull spun to the side to attempt escape, the beam focussed itself on the tertiary hull, and with barely a full second's delay, the entire hull, and the probe itself, were dissolved in mid-space, re-integrating moments later at a dead stop, inside what appeared to be total darkness with the exception of the dimly lit tear-shaped vessel still in "front" of them.
Zimmerman leaned over to the Ops console beside his nav station, "Initiating full scan, Commander.", but Savot shook his head slowly.
"Negative Lieutenant, disengage all main systems. Set sensors to passive reception only, no outgoing scans. Let us allow them to believe we are disable for the moment, and observe how they respond.", Savot began disengaging half the unnecessary systems throughout the ship, leaving Zimmerman to close off the rest.
Zimmerman obeyed, though a little apprehensive, but then who wouldn't be trapped "somewhere" in a completely dark area after having their entire portion of the ship BEAMED out of space.
But just then, the darkness faded, and lights began to flicker on one by one...

Kevin just stared at the enormous... room? ship? thing... the third of the El Salvador had just been transported into.
It was huge! Stretching farther in any direction than Kevin could see, lights turned on. It might have been a trick using mirrors, but Kevin couldn't tell without scanning via sensors. The other vessel was still there, probably scanning them, waiting for a response.
"Erm... commander, its my personal opinion that scanning our surroundings might be a good idea."

Savot listened to Zimmerman's statement patiently, then nodded slightly. "I understand that line of thinking and the desire to gather more information Lieutenant. However, there is reasoning behind my decision. Rather than be attacked in any way, we and our vessel have been abducted from space into what appears to be a vast internal facility of some kind. Since they have the technology to tag and transport something of our size, while utilizing high-impulse speeds, they certainly could have done us harm without bringing us here. I therefore find it more logical that their intentions are curious, rather than malicious, in nature. Also, as the activating lights would suggest, this facility likely begins its studies when the captured vessel is considered disabled. Were we to show signs of activity, it is more likely that they would then take measures to insure our incapacity. Should the need arise we will be able to power up our systems and attempt escape, however, for the moment we will content ourselves with observing as much of the inner workings as possible."
Zimmerman listened, seeming to churn Savot's comments and reasoning around in his head.
"Additionally, though I have no difficulty in explaining the reasoning behind my orders when there is indeed time to do so, that will not always be the case. It most likely will fall upon you at some point to carry out an order than you do not understand, perhaps do not agree with. I can only assure you that I do not have the destruction of our ship or any of our deaths as a personal goal, Mr. Zimmerman. Should our methods disagree, while you are certainly free to offer your own suggestions, you will have to content yourself with following my final decision with that assurance in mind," Savot ended with a slight bow of his head, showing his sincerity to the younger officer.

"Of course," said Kevin. "I won't question you in a battle situation. And I do agree with you, I guess. But I just seemed a bit... I dunno... deaf, without being able to scan our surroundings."
"An understandable feeling," replied Savot. "It is good that you are capable of dealing with that particular discomfort."

~Mr's Savot and Zimmerman find themselves in the dark, having obviously just been teleported. You understand the feeling when you experience it and that was it...just much much more powerful. The ship around you and everything seems to be perfectly intact, including yourselves. The darkness faids into huge lights and indeed your on a factory floor of there are ports to see by. Around the third of the El Salvador there stands roughly 300 very small robots currently going over the hull with a "fine toothed comb", scanning, scanning and deciding where best to put the bulk material to use.~
{Main Hull} Nae i dinnae see him...hes gone from scanners! ::Hearing that Savots dissappeared she feels a lurch in her stomach...she hopes hes just cloaked...or having been taken instead of discentegrated...but she cant allow worry over a trusted friend and companion, not now:: She answers as the questions are fired to her, checking her own sensors that threaten to flicker in and out as she nears one of the beams:: Nae, thar be nae more. Either tha thin be cloaked, an WELL cloaked or tha whole crafts beamed...but i dinnae any technology tha lets ye beam a whole vessel an th people inside. :: She agrees with Jameys next words...time to find out what the hell is going on down there::
::The comms are working as shes not mobing through one of the interference ribbons, that shes beginning to suspect may have been a trapfield. An early warning device of...whatevers going on here. She hails the Capitol below and recieves absolutly no answer:: Federation ship El Salvador t' Darvon Primancy...::and she finds only empty static, as would anyone else that tried to comm them below. She tries this for several moments before frowning and sending back::
=/\=Thar be nae an answer Lt. Im gettin nuthin but static. Try from yer end...maybe yer clearer from th ribbons than i be.=/\=
:: BUT When the Lt tries to comm as well...he also comes up with nothing, no answer, not even a ping. He sends back to her:: "Nothing Commander...its as though none of them are even there."
:: Deis is getting worried right about now:: Arrigh Lt...stay th course...keep yer coordinates and continue scan. :: Deis herself takes a moment to scan the planet for life signs..., then comming back to Jamey:: Good Laird...thar be not a sign o life on th surface. Im goin down thar... ::Then she breaks the main hull from her formation and heads into closer orbit, taking the whole thing down, able to land it in a smaller piece whereas when the ship was whole...it would have been a lot more difficult::

As the vast number of robots began moving across the outside of the hull, tension began to rise among the seemingly optionless crew of the Gamma hull of El Salvador. Lt. Zimmerman winced as the robots began making preparations to probe and scrape their way through a disection of their ship. "Commander, we can't let them tear apart the ship sir."
Savot, from the center seat, nodded. "I concur Lieutenant. However, we are still unable to utilize our full defensive capabilities without drawing even more of this apparent facility's resources against us." The vulcan narrowed his eyes slightly. "I require more data. Lieutenant, prepare to send out a one second sensor burst at maximum power."
Zimmerman spun back at his station, floating his fingers over the console preparing to carry out the order. "Aye, Commander, preparing burst."
Savot rose from the command chair moving to the Ops station, with which he was more familiar anyway, and began entering his own commands. "I am going to inverse magnetize the hull in a moment. In one burst the robotic probes will be flung from the hull. Synchronize your equipment to send out the sensor burst at the same instant. The distraction from the unexpected resistance may hide our scanning efforts." Savot then finished a series of commands on the console, his fingers poised for the final entry, and turned his head slightly towards Zimmerman. "Are you ready, Mr. Zimmerman?"
Kevin nodded, swallowing slightly as he did so, hoping this wouldn't end badly. "Ready, Commander."
Savot nodded, "On my mark.... execute." Savot timed his entry on the console with his final breath of speech, and the robotic probe creatures were indeed flung from the outside of the vessel, not only damaging several but temporarily disabling their control clusters as their recent command data was wiped clean by the magnetic field. Zimmerman's timing was equally on par, flinging out a precious burst of sensor energy to hopefully gather what information they could, perhaps figuring out what their next move should be. "Sensor data coming in now, sir." Just as quickly the burst was ended, and the two officers leaned over their consoles to examine the small amount of data they were able to gather. Upon reviewing it, Savot's eyebrow inclined, and Zimmerman himself back away from the console slightly in disbelief...
"They have a planet's worth of people down here! It's like they're being harvested by this place!", Zimmerman exclaimed as Savot nodded his agreement.
"Indeed. It would appear they are attempting to produce a workforce from these gathered beings. Given the vastness of this area and the biological data of the beings held within, I surmise these beings may consist of the population of Darvon. Without further detailed data, however, confirmation is impossible at this time," Savot hypothesized as he rose from his station, moving back to stand beside the command chair. "Unfortunately, our situation has not changed. It is still unwise to employ our defensive capabilities to protect our ship. However, given the apparent importance of sentient life to their efforts, I believe I have a temporary solution."
As Zimmerman sat looking at the vulcan from his helm station, slightly unconvinced about the whole thing, Savot tapped the intercomm button on the command console, "Attention crew of the El Salvador: This is Commander Savot. We have been transported inside an alien facility of some sort, and our vessel is facing the initial stages of dissection. We cannot risk using our armaments against a station of this size and unknown capabilities at this time. However, it is clear that living beings are seemingly higher priority to those behind this facility than technology acquisition. Therefore, all crewmembers will form in groups of 5, each group armed with 3 hand phasers, and 2 phaser rifles. You will all head to the nearest disembarking areas and exit the ship. Avoid detection if possible, but avoid the use of extensive force at all costs. The life forms already captured have been scanned at reasonable health, so we will not risk bringing more destructive means against ourselves in order to avoid capture. Maintain communication silence between groups and take only brief tricorder scans. Simply do what you can to distract the station from dismantling the hull. All crew will execute these orders within the next 3 minutes. That is all."
Zimmerman looked at Savot in disbelief, "We're going to leave the ship?"
"I share your discomfort at doing so but at present it is the most prudent course given the circumstances. We must remember that our duty is not only to our own safety, but to the success of Commander Irae's overall mission. Our part in that mission is more important than our personal circumstances," Savot said, clipping a hand phaser and tricorder onto either side of his belt. "You and I will remain together Lieutenant." Savot then moved to the Ops station, locking out the main computer with as detailed an encryption as he could muster in 60 seconds.
Then he nodded to Kevin, and the two officers made their way to a disembarking ramp, dashing out into the depths of this massive alien facility in an attempt to play a game of cat and mouse for as long as possible, each knowing the end result was inevitable...

Back in space ... As the Commander took her part of the ship to the surface of the planet, Jamey assumed a higher polar orbit in response to sensor readings that was coming in from the probe that was launched earlier in the mission. Scanning the anomaly, the ship’s sensors picked up energy patterns that were very uncommon for a planet; 'if I didn’t know any better I would swear that the patterns were code based', Jamey thought. Recording a sample of the pattern, he requested for this sections science officer to analyze the pattern. He also thought it was time to put the ship’s holographic generators to some good use. Leaving the science officer to her work, Jamey stepped over to the next station, pulled up the sensor logs from the encounter with the tear-shaped ship, and recreated the ship’s geometry with the holographic program. The ship couldn’t produce and sustain many images from polar orbit but he wasn’t betting on this plan needing very many anyway. Setting the ships sensors to not only output a holographic image but also the same type energy pattern as the tear-shape ship transmitted, the program was set to run in fifteen minuets. The program would generate the ships, have them transmit the pattern and orbit around a large mountain range on the Northern Hemisphere. If he were lucky, maybe something significant would happen. Jamey turn to the female science officer, “ have you found anything”? Turning in her seat and looking up with her large brown eyes she said, “ I have found, using data that was recorded by the Commanders ship and the readings we are still getting from the probe, all have a root pattern. The other patterns seem to be different except for these two.” Pointing to the readout, “ both of these patterns came exactly at the same time as the tear-shaped ship appeared and then again when it vanished.” “ I believe we need to reproduce this same pattern with the holographic ships. Please feed that pattern to the program Hollow-Ship-Jamey-One.” Jamey requested from the officer. Turning to the rest of the crew on the bridge, “ Ok folks, keep a sharp eye; don’t leave one stone unturned.” Looking down at the time, “ we have three minutes, remember … eyes open.” The program ran, at first nothing emerged, then the sensors picked up a change in the pattern emitting from the planet. Not just a small change, a huge change but all with the same root pattern; alarms sounded from almost every console. “ Report”, Jamey asked. “ We have a large energy signature from the planet; from the second largest continent in the Northern Hemisphere.” A voice from the bridge reported. “ It seems to be searching systematically in grids.” Rushing to the helm, Jamey readies the ship in case he needs to move the ship from the searching energy signature. But no action was needed; an almost undetectable beam was emitted from a high mountain peak towards one of the holographic decoys. The pattern of the image fades from the disruption from the beam, and then all is calm. Jamey and the crew now had data to review but not after contacting the Commander. Jamey wrote a report and sent it to the Commander but not after he contacted her over the COMM system, “ Lt. Jamey to Commander Dies … you need to read this …” With that, Jamey sent the report to her.

Kevin clutched the hand phaser and tricorder carefully, fearful of loosing the few technological peices of equiment he still had. Whoever was running this enormous facility reminded Kevin of the Borg. The Borg stuck people in big ships. The Borg controlled their every move. The Borg assimilated their ships, like the robots were doing to the El Salv.
Kevin followed Savot off the ship, and the group headed away from the only safe thing Kevin could see in the large room they were in.
"Commander, what if they scan the El Salvador and realise there are no biological life forms aboard? Maybe they will tear it apart faster."
"It is a risk we must take, Mr. Zimmerman. However, because several crewmembers possess pets, and there are bacteria all over the ship, we shouldn't need to worry about that particular threat."
"Yes, sir," said Kevin.

:: Deis manually lands her "chunk o ship" on the rather rocky and arid plain near a city built of the same rock of the planets surface. She expected such a landing to bring suprise but shes the one suprised...theres not a single person in the city at all. Her scanners show a whole lot of nothing. She turns and asks her tactical officer... He hasnt held the position long...only since we held leave on Earth, but hes good at his job, he confirms part of what Jamey is now sending to her:: Theres not a lifesign for miles...not even plantlife Commander. This whole place is a dead rock...
But...how can tha be Roark? ::and shes interrupted by the comms:: "Lt. Jamey to Commander Dies … you need to read this..."
::She looks to her console as the report comes in and her greygreeny eyes go wide...she almost dosent understand it for a minute...then she starts thinking technical:: My God...grids...beams...wha IS this planet?! ::she forgets getting out of the ship and going out to look...she doubts we will find anyone on the surface. Who ever heard of a planet...scanning itself? She gets back on the comms::
=/\=Irae t' Jamey...all this information commin back...yer report. And thar be nae a live person down here...wait..::shes silent for a moment:: Holy Hell we got life signs...finally. But they be shielded somehow. Tis lookin....like th planets center say me scanners down 'ere. Wi yer report...i dinnae ken tha this be a planet atall...
=/\=My suspicions exactly Commander ::Jamey answers:: The code...the reaction. This is either a craft of some kind...or a...im not certain enough to make a full hypothesis. What do you see down there Commander?...::he recieves static as though the comms have gone down, yet his are working just fine. Something is jamming Deis third of the ship:: Commander? ::no type of responce...your scanners indicate that the third ship has taken off again and is now streaking along the curve of the planet so quickly as to shatter ROCK on the outside, the sonic booms must be immense...and she seems to be taking evasive action.::
Onboard: Before the Rush... Roark: Commander we got blips on sensors. Moving fast... Deis: Life signs? Roark: nothing Commander...shielded mechanicals...thats all im getting. Deis: On screen! ::The screen flairs to life and she sees whats comming towrds them...three of the tear drop shaped ships, all three of them firing their odd tractor beams...Deis immediatly takes evasive action and shouts at her nav ensign, who can only obey as swiftly and as accuratly as possible:: Gimme full impulse NOW!! ::When they take off the Main hull groans slightly forced to assume that kind of speed under gravitational conditions but it gets moving...if she thought the ship could take it...or the land beneath us...she would hit warp one and get back out to where Jamey is...but its too late and too dangerous to do that. Maybe in the Biddysal...but not the real deal. They begin taking buffeting damage from the speed of wind and the pull of gravity...and the teardrop shaped ships shoot after them, not as quickly at first, but catching up quickly::
Within the Planets Core: Savot and Zimmerman find themselves, for the moment...ignored completly. Thousands of smallish robots that only come up to their knees swarm around, flicking scanning lights at the ship third that just pulsed them. A few of the robiticals are no longer functional and none of them now, get too close to the ship. More information is required from this "scrap" before it can be taken apart and then sent to the recreation factories that will use its materials to...well its obvious. They can see the construction as they walk...huge machines, larger than the el salvador itsself...whole are being worked on by many of the little bots. Sparks come from their welder components. Anyone that sees this save for perhaps the most stave and conservative of Vulcans, would be amazed and frankly...awed. The "engines" of Darvon are so immense as to give the impression of infinity...much better than actual infinity would itsself.
As they stare or run they find themselves trailed by about 12 of the botlets...that just seem to watch them. Scanning them every few moments as their counterparts are doing to the bit of El Salvador. They merely follow as the men dash from the huge factory room into a section of hallways that are almost as creepy as the inside of a Borg Cube. People...at least a thousand of them, resting in strange cubby holes with the humanoid shape to them. They simply appear to be asleep save for the strange visors worn by each of them over their eyes. Theyre not restrained in any way though there appears to be medical life support hookups on each person. The oddest sight is that of a young girl, perhaps as old as 12, placed in a cubby that is indeed child sized.
Now the botlets seem to be herding you but not dangerously so. Its obvious...they dont want to damage further "components".

Kevin kept glancing around, expecting a dozen Borg to beam in suddenly, ready to assimilate the team. He was most certainly trigger-happy, decided Savot.
"Sir, I don't really care about giving away our defenseive and offensive capabilities. Those... robot things, whatever they are, are herding us into this- assmilation chamber!"
"It is not an assimilation chamber, Mr. Zimmerman," replied the Vulcan.
"I don't give a damn! We have to leave, Commander."
"I do agree with you on that point," said Savot. The small robots came closer as the team stopped, Kevin's phaser set to kill, full-spread and directly at the robots.
"Permission to open fire, sir," questioned Kevin.

((Hihi..finally posting! Figured I'd hop right in with Deis cause she's by her lonesome where she is..so there it is and Hi everyone! ;D))
Being a new officer to the job of Counsellor creates some bit of anxiety in the individual, especially Zoë. She had just barely gotten out fo Academy and had hoped that her first missions on board the El Salvadore would be quiet..research type missions. Unlike the crazy mission that was her Academy training mission..which had really tested her mettle.
The ship had been split and Zoë had gone with the XO Deis Irae and she now stood with her on what appears to be a completely dead planet. No..not a planet as later indicated..a craft fo some kind with lifeforms on it.. Hmm.. interesting..but there is no time for pondering they get blips on the screen and they have to move fast!
Zoë does her best to man any free console that needs it to aid in their escap. Who are these beings and what do they want? She wonders as the ship pitches and rolls and Zoë wonders if her career will be much shorter than expected.

As Commander Deis responded to Jamey’s report, she gave her own back to Jamey. ‘Not a planet?’ Jamey thought, ‘then what is it?” As she kept talking, the COMM connection was lost … [glow=red,2,300]static[/glow]. Jamey, already sitting at the helm, broke his orbit and rushed the ship to the last known position of the Commanders ship. On the way, his tactical sensors picked up three of the tear-shaped ships. Jamey ordered his tactical officer to configure the shields so they would hug as close to the ship as a second skin; he also brought several standby generators online and patched them into the structural integrity field and internal dampeners. “Ok folks, everybody hold on”, Jamey said. Turning to the science officer he continued, “Ready that program and broadcast code at those ships”.
“What code do you want me to send?” the science officer asked. “Every code we have recorded … all at one time … in one large burst”, Jamey answered back. “We are going to help our Commander.”
As the atmosphere was beginning to affect the ship, Jamey plotted a course that would but his part of the ship behind the tear-shaped ships. While slowing the ships speed, Jamey asked the tactical officer, “Load the Hellfire Torpedo, set for immediate dispersal and wide spread. Ready one Quantum Torpedo to be fired as soon as the Hellfire skips past the enemies shields.”
“Yes, sir.” the tactical officer answered.
“The shockwave from the quantum torpedo should destroy the ship or at least knock them from the sky.” Jamey added.
As the ship began to moan from the stresses from the planet, Jamey could see the Commander’s ship racing for space. “We are in position …… fire torpedoes!” Jamey said with a loud voice.
“Torpedoes away”, came the response.
The Hellfire torpedoes did there job, they phased passed what appeared to be a shield of some kind. “Fire the quantum torpedo NOW!” as Jamey turned to look at the tactical officer harshly. The officer worked hurriedly firing the torpedo, but it was too late. However the Hellfire torpedoes seemed to do the trick anyway; one ship took a direct hit and was destroyed while the other two ships broke their pursuit taking a lazy course away from all the commotion. They seemed to be adversely affected by the concussion of the blast, the two remaining tear-shaped ships seemed to be so confused by the turmoil that one crashed into a near by rock face while the other flew out of sight.
Turning to his science officer, “Did the ships react to the bombardment of the code we were broadcasting, or was it indeed just the concussion from the torpedo blast?”
“I can’t tell at this time, but the ships didn’t seem to even acknowledge us when we took up a position behind them. So, our broadcast may have made them believe that we were one of them”, said the science officer.
“Hmmm … keep running the sensor logs back through to see if what we picked up from them was any different that what was recorded from the other tear-shaped ships”, Jamey instructed.
After both ships returned to space, Jamey tried make contact with the Commander’s ship, “Jamey to Commander Dies … we have intercepted the ships … are you OK? … Commander? … Please respond.”
Not getting a response form the Commander, and seeing that the Commander’s ship wasn’t holding a stable orbit, he knew it was time to put the ship back together, ‘at least these two half’s anyway’ Jamey thought.
“Ready the ship for docking. Bring up a remote connection to the Commander’s ship, we need to reconnect and get that ship in control before if falls out of orbit.” Jamey said.
Opening the docking clamps for his ship … and successfully opening the Commanders docking ports remotely, Jamey eased the two ships together letting the computer do most of the approach. The ship reconnected with a soft but defiant thump.
“OK, ready a medical team and a security team; board the ship only though the main turbo lift shaft. I want to keep all other connections closed until we know what is going on.” Jamey instructed.
After reconnecting with the ship, Jamey moved the now one ship to a high polar orbit … where it seemed at least they could hide from the searching beams emitting from the plant at an alarming rate.
“Jamey to Commander Dies …. Please respond” ….Nothing …..
“Ok teams … move out. Report back to me every ten … and keep a tricoder lock at all times.” Jamey said as he hoped nothing was wrong with the Commander.

::For the moment all Deis can do is concentrate on getting us out of this. Shes aware that another persons come onto her "bridge" and that the persons manned one of the stations. She hasnt as yet gotten a chance to speak with our new counselor though at the moment, her nerves are steel. She hits the comm getting a bit of static and says:: Jamey, Acknowledge...DAMN! ::thumping her fist against the comms...theyre down again:: Someone get these comms workin now! UGH!!
::she shouts as the ship lurches, throwing everyone down on their faces that wernt holding on for dear life as one of the tractor beams finally snags us. Deis thumped her head rather hard on the comm but it dosent appear to be giving her difficulty after she shakes the stars out of her head, unknowing theres a trickle of blood from the midst of her forehead. Others have similar small injuries from the lurching impact but nothing worth writing home about. Bruises, scratches, a small myriad of discomforts. But when theres a larger impact from behind them, EVERYONE holds on.::
::Deis shouts at the sensor guy, not bothering with names at this point:: Gimme a readin! Wots goin on out there!
:: The Someone at that point chimes up:: Its another third of the Sal, Commander. Lt. Jamey!!
::Deis kinda grins then and says:: Someone remind me t put tha boy up fer a medal or a ribbon or somethin...
All persuers are...gone Commander. Destroyed. ::The sensor person answers:: Were out...in orbit...but a bad one. Were going to spiral back down if....Weve been overridden!*THUD*
::Then the computer chimes up:: Docking complete.
HAHA!! He got us!! :: Deis laughs out loud and then falls down in her chair with her hand to her forehead...she dosent care HOW he did it...only that he did it. The comms are completly fried on this third of the ship thusly letting out no information. But it dosent take long for Jameys people to get to us. Deis is standing and waiting when they get there. The redocking procedure respread out power connections and strengths...the comms come back up and Deis says over them::
=/\=Lt. Jamey...i owe ye a pint o guiness. But lets save me Ops and Science man forst aye?=/\=
OFF: Once i get a post from Savot, ill be able to answer the Savot/Zimmerman posts. Zoe...feel free to be the sensor person that deis dunno who it is atm. And welcome aboard the USS El Salvador. Purmau. Dunno what third of the ship your on, but we got a lil work for ya ROFL.

Swiping the phaser from the Lieutenant's hand with the benefit of vulcan speed and strength, Savot then stepped in front of the young officer, looking him straight in the face. His countenance was calm as always, but framed with a firmness that also flowed through his voice.
"Lieutenant Kevin Zimmerman. You will not reply to a Starfleet officer with profanity. We have a duty to perform here and that is what we will do. The robots have indeed been herding us, I have taken note of this. However, I have also noted for some time now that 13 meters further in this direction is an inactive ventilation shaft. As we have moved, tricorder scans have revealed that this shaft continues all the way back to the El Salvador", Savot spoke very mundanely and paused half a breath in between each single statement in order to calm Kevin's understandably anxious mind, and attempt to focus his thoughts on facts.
Savot turned the phaser to face him, and reprogrammed it while calmly walking the group the remaining distance to the ventilation shaft, meanwhile continuing his speaking, "Mr. Zimmerman, you will take the remainder of our team, and proceed through the shafts back to the ship. Do not go out of your way, but if you encounter any other teams on your path back, gather them with you as well. When you arrive at the ship, you will, if you recall our final moments onboard, find the main computer encrypted. The communication system remains unlocked. Your primary goal is to do everything you can to attempt to re-establish communication with Commander Irae. If you are unable to do so, you may then attempt to decrypt the computer. However, you will continue to refrain from using weaponry unless absolutely necessary. Those captured are obviously unharmed and as such risking a full-frequency conflict with this facility and those responsible for its creation is unacceptable. I am remaining behind to continue my investigations. I doubt I will be harmed either. Now, proceed as ordered. I will cover your escape by overloading your phaser after you depart."
Savot watched the Lieutenant left with no other choice but to proceed, but through his anxiety, a look of concern for the vulcan Commander at his remaining behind, alone with these things, showed on his face, which Savot felt proved he had not overly angered the very independent science chief. Zimmerman gave a final nod and climbed into the shaft followed by the other 3 crewmen on their squad. Savot waited patiently for the proper count of time, then tapped in the final combinations to overload the phaser. Setting it just in front of the shaft entrance, Savot then turned and walked just outside the immediate sphere of danger.
The tell-tale high pitched hums of danger emanated from the machine, causing the robots to either scan the disturbance, or perhaps the signature was familiar enough that they knew to back away. Regardless, after a few seconds a large blast burst out from the weapon, tearing rends into the walls and conduits around the area, sending shrapnel flying in several directions. The shaft was rocked by the explosion, but relatively undamaged, and the bottleneck tightness of it served to disperse mild radiation from the phaser's former power source through much of the shaft, not harming the living beings inside but proving just enough to dampen the scanning attempts of the nearby probes.
As the smoke cleared and debris settled, the robots would find a pointed-eared Commander lying on the floor, conscious, but allowing himself to be considered otherwise, and taken in for a closer look at whatever lie in store for living beings in this place....

Kevin climbed down the shaft, desperately hoping he'd never get to a command position. It must be terrible as a first officer, tryign to protect the Captain while staying calm. And the Captain would have the weight of his or her responsibility for the crew on his or her shoulders... Kevin shook his head. He'd never accept a promotion past Commander. It was too much for him.
And what about Savot? Kevin was worried about him. It wouldn't do any good to leave poor Savot to these robots. But Kevin had been given a direct order, something he wasn't about to question. Added to his deep fear of the Borg, it was enough to convince the young scinece officer that retreat was acceptable. After all, the needs of the many outweighed the needs of the few, right? Still, Kevin hoped Savot would get out okay...
Zimmerman and his team exited the shaft. Not wanting to delay at all, Kevin had his team begin jogging towards the El Salvador. As he reached the ship, he saw several other teams milling about. He sent members of his team to grab the others and bring them to the ship. He hoped desperately that the robots hadn't damged the ship so badly that communications were gone. The robots were taking the ship apart slowly, but steadily.
Kevin sprinted the last hundred meters towards the ship, hoping the other parts of the El Salvador would be able to free Commander Savot and himself from the robot's grasp.

OFF: Thanks Deis lol. Sorry all but I got viruses eating my comp form the inside out and am awaiting information for when I reformat so I am not on much for fear of virus stuff.
ON: ~She grabbed onto something as the ship learched and held on untill she was certain it was stady again. Then she moved quickly about looking after the paitents in sick bay who had been tussled about.~
Every one remain calm! ~Knowing panic tends to be the first respose to havoc. She started getting people back onto their beds and tending injuries as more begain to arrive. She administered hypospray to ease pain turing to the nurses and ordering them to make sure the ones with the worse injuries are seen first. Broken bones, concusions, and the like and let the ones with bruses wait.~

---Back on the now two thirds ship orbiting above the polar surface--- Gathering up his PADDs that were laying all over his desk and fumbling them as he walked over to his shoulder pack lying on his sofa table, Jamey walked out of his room. Now walking down the corridor, Jamey saw the young science officer that had been on his third of the ship; Jamey stopped. “ Hello, do you have a moment?” Looking up from her PADD, her eyes gleamed ‘hi’ but she said it anyway, “ Hi, yes, I have just completed my shift and was going to my quarters”. “ Do you mind if we went to the lounge for a drink and to chat; I have the results from your study of the code from the tear-shaped ships?” Jamey added. “ Sure”, the officer replied back to Jamey Later on in the lounge, Jamey and the officer talked about the findings they both had researched. After a few drinks and a bit of dinner, they both looked up at each other with the same light bulb shinning over their heads. “ You thinking what I’m thinking?,” Jamey said. “ I believe so; the code is simple isn’t it. It almost seems too simple to be true. All we need to do is send the right code at the right time and we can basically restart their whole system.” The officer said back to Jamey. “ Yep, your right; we were thinking the same thing. I wonder when the system restarts, if it will call up stored system information like our own computers do now; you know, from a protected source.” Jamey said to the officer while flagging down the waiter. The waiter came over to their table and asked them for their order. Jamey, being a knock over for dessert, asked for a New York style cheese cake with chocolate and caramel. With a smile from the young officer she said, “ We can only hope it does and for that code to be better than what we see now.” ---- Later --- After talking this over with the Commander, Jamey sat down at one of the science stations on the bridge and started to type instructions for a plan; to put it into old Earth computer terms, re-boot the planet. The Commander came onto the bridge and asked if Jamey had everything ready, to which the reply came back as yes. “ Then we a’ better get a’ crackin’ then shouldn’t we,” the Commander said. With broadcasting the code from the navigational array for the added power it would give the signal, the ship stood poised for what would happen. What happened was not very noticeable either … but thankfully was caught by a crewman on the bridge keeping a sharp eye on any type of signal coming back from the planet. “ Commander,” he said, “ I believe we have our answer.” As he pointed out on the view screen with an over imposed circle an opening in the planets surface. From this opening rose an array tower that started to ping with an audio only signal. “ Putit on the speakers”, the Commander said. [glow=yello,2,300]--- garbled speech … some more code … garbled speech ---[/glow] After about three hours of work and information from the ship’s computer, Jamey reported back to the Commander. “ What this is … is a plea for help. The first part of the message was a general distress message that was translated into text that stated their systems were loosing power and everyone on the surface of the planet had been captured by their “inner system”. It also stated that all of their technology was being ‘taken’ from them from flying … and after that the message stopped Commander then the code started. It seems that “Inner system” was used as a proper noun. The code that came after seems to be very basic compared to the code gathered to date and I'm afraid it will be necessary to put this code directly into the planet’s system; we can't simply broadcast this code as we have before." Looking around the bridge with a concerned look, "If we could only find out how to get in touch with the other part of the ship ... and get them to input this code somehow into the planets systems.” With that the Commander gave the command to contact the other part of the ship that sensors showed was inside the planet when the signal array opened its hatch to raise out of the ground. “ Commander,” Jamey said, “ we have broadcast the same signal that opened the array before ... and sent the code with information to the other third of the ship on the carrier signal. We can only hope now that someone on board the other third of the ship will see the message and be able to figure out how to input that code into the planets system. I guess you could say we are playing the waiting game now. Maybe after they learn that they can send coded commands to the planet … they can open a large enough port so the ship can escape.” The Commander looked at Jamey with hopeful eyes, not liking that she had to play a waiting game, but she knew it was up to her people inside the planet now to progress this sticky situation further.

OFF: Time out! Is this Devron system the same one where Q put an anti-time anomaly in the TNG episode #747 "All Good Things..."? I just realised the system's names are the same...
