Judd turned back to the jumble of circuit boards and wiring that was the targeting computer. "I reckon we can cobble together a link from the sensors. We better get started."
As the Engineer knelt at the console once again Savot nodded, setting down the engineering kit he'd brought with him and opening it in case there was anything Judd needed that he didn't already have within arm's reach. The vulcan went to a nearby computer and accessed the functioning sensors.
"I concur with your assessment. As the sensor array is in working order, I'll use it to gauge the orbit patterns of each platform. By comparing the orbits with the ETA of the debris, we'll be able to extrapolate which angles of fire would be left vulnerable should the firing control system of this platform fail to operate. The Captain can then have the El Salvador in position to cover those angles if necessary. Since there's insufficient time to perform an actual test fire, we should run what internal diagnostics we can to get as much assurance as possible", Savot stated as he worked at determining when the meteors would arrive and what the positions of Platform 2 would be during the approach of the debris wave.

Wolf: Made arrangements with the bridge to send probes to the planet surface near the shuttles equiped with hight powered lights to try to distract the predators away from the shuttle. After taking care of the that he joined Commander Parsons on the planet.
Wolf: Beamed down to the planet and saw the chaos going on. Not so much people running scared just teams trying to get things done feeling sorry for them he turned to Commander Parsosn " Sir if its okay with you I'm going to see if there's anything I can help with they sure look like they could use a extra hand right now" getting his okay from Commander Parsons wolf went to see if he could join one of the search teams to find there missing crewman

As Judd worked under the panel, Savot was privy to language not normally associated with officers and gentlemen, mostly concerning the ancestry and hygiene habits of the nameless engineer that first assembled the panel, with an increasingly noticeable Tennessee drawl added for good measure. Finally, though, Judd seemed to have some success. "Awright, sir, I reckon I got this here bucket o' worms ready t' link with yer sensors." Judd wormed his way out from under the panel and keyed a few controls. "Yup, she's hummin' right along, but with this thang that could just be cos she don't know th' words. We're about as ready as we kin git, Commander."

Savot nodded his acknowledgement to the Engineer, then tapped his combadge, =^= Savot to El Salvador. All platforms report ready to engage debris. Coordinates to cover the targets of Platform 3 should it misfire have been uploaded to you. =^=
Deis, sharing the bridge with none of senior officers, replied, =^= Aye, Commander. We're in position t' cover ye if needed. Meteors'll enter weapons range in 37 minutes... mark. Good huntin' t' ye gentlemen, Irae out. =^=
**********************************
As Savot and Judd ran what last minute checks they could, and got full readiness reports from the other two platforms, the minutes ticked down to showtime.
Platform 1 sent a powerful beam lancing into the encroaching mass first, successfully shattering the targets in its arc of fire down to kibble-sized chunks that would burn up in the atmosphere with no further risk to the planet. Number 2, after teaming up with Platform 1 for the last few shots while their firing arcs overlapped, then held its own ground beautifully. Judd's people destroyed what debris could be destroyed, and struck larger ones just enough to give them a momentum that would take them safely past Corinian 4 with no risk.
Finally, it came down to Platform 3 to mop up the last of the meteors, each one remaining still large enough to cause catastrophic damage to the planet if they struck. The El Salvador hovered in a nearby orbit, her weapons ready to strike out at Platform 3's targets if something went wrong with the equipment. This one final hurdle to cross and the planet would be safe. Tension filled those aboard the last defense station and the crew aboard the El Salvador, Captain Irae most especially as she sat straight as a rod in her center seat.
Even the exultations of the personnel on Platforms 1 and 2 was dying down as they watched their viewscreens intently to see what happened next...

Judd was leaning forward, intently scrutinizing a power consumption display, when there came from behind him an angry electrical snap, accompanied by a curl of acrid smoke. Judd whirled and dropped to his knees, his hands already fumbling for tools. "Damn, we're burnin' out capacitors awfully quick!" His hands fairly flew over the jumble of circuitry, then a larger, angrier spark sent Judd back onto the seat of his pants with curse. He leaned in, and his face went pale. "Oh damn! Commander, we've lost the sensor link! The input was just too much for these jury-rigged circuits! We're gonna have to target manually!" He jumped up and took a seat at a control panel and started keying in commands. On the main viewscreen, a greenish targeting reticle appeared. "Sir, if y'all can aim, I can fire!"

Wolf: Had been with the search party for hours they were getting ready to head back in, When wolf decided to stay out and head deep into the mountain range. In his mind it was the only place left and the only place they couldn't scan and it boardered the ocean so if Zimmerman came ashore it had to be there. Thinking he'd better signal the ship to see if he could get another body or at the very least let them know where he was heading. " Wolf to El salvador I'm going to head deeper into the mountain range to try and find our lost Zimmerman if you can spare anybody I could use the help" <Tag anyone still on the bridge> Waiting for a reply wolf started to figure out the easyest way into the mountain range.

When Ethan felt the shuttle jolt to the right he almost jumped out of his seat. The short range sensors showed that a large animal was ramming itself into the ship. There was nothing that he could at the moment, but hope that it would lose interest in them. Lucky for them it did and they went about collecting the remaining pieces of fragments.
After that initial scare everything went right for the away team. It was slow work, but it was completed in a timely manner. The people on the El Sal would have the missing piece to finding a cure for this.
"Commander our communications is coming back online," Ensign Smith reported.
"Good, get me the Captain," Ethan ordered.
"Link opened," Smith replied.
=^=Away team to Captain Irae, our mission is complete, we have collected all the remaining fragments and are now heading back home.=^=

Once on the planet, Wolf located Commander Parsons, "Sir if its okay with you I'm going to see if there's anything I can help with; they sure look like they could use a extra hand right now."
"Excellent idea, Captain."
Getting his okay from Commander Parsons, Wolf went to see if he could join one of the search teams to find their missing crewman.
Wolf headed off with a search party, and Parsons stayed behind at the makeshift headquarters, helping to coordinate the search effort. So far Ethan had had the most luck. Identifying and collecting much of the wreckage from Kevin's shuttle. There was still no sign of Kevin.
Parsons rubbed his face with his hands. He had been staring at maps and scan reports for hours now. As he did, a hovercraft roared up and a junior officer jumped down. Opening the cargo hold, the officer reported that Kevin's propulsion unit had been found on the ocean floor. It was found much closer to shore than expected and its power cells were empty.
Just as it seemed that no progress was being made, this new piece of evidence emerged and the teams continued the search with new focus and new hope.
Meanwhile a squad of marines was beaming down to the surface near Captain Wolf's location, to assist him in his search of the coastal mountains.

Savot quickly turned and gestured to two of Sandage's team standing nearby and they each took a console and began locking on to debris. They divided the remaining meteors between them, each one feeding trajectory data to Savot's console at which point he locked on to the nearest one and fixed it in the station's sights so Judd could fire. As this was set up, the vulcan tapped his combadge and raised the ship, =^= Captain, technical failure in the sensor link on platform 3. Manual targetting initiated, suggest you engage the final wave from its rearmost point and work toward the station. Between the two of us we should successfully destroy the remaining meteors.=^=
Out in space, the El Salvador swung around gracefully to fall in behind the last of the threatening debris. Phasers struck out from the powerful vessel, and pinpoint-targeted shots burst out from Platform 3 one at a time. The sight itself was relatively slow-paced and unspectacular, but for those involved who knew the ramifications of failure, it was as tense and blurred as a 40 starship crossfire.
Blessedly, with the proficiency of the relatively untried tactical officer holding station on the El Sal's bridge, and the masterful work of Sandage and his teams, the threatening meteors were destroyed down to the very last. That part of their mission was finally completed. As the El Salvador settled back into orbit, aboard Platform 3 Savot stood back from the sensor console he'd been manning and turned to Judd, giving him a tilted nod. "Well done, Lieutenant. Your department performed their duty admirably. Effective immediately you are cleared to stand down and recuperate. I'm returning to the ship now, come aboard as soon as you're ready." <Tag any response from Judd>
With another approving nod to the Engineer the vulcan tapped his badge and faded from sight as he reboarded the El Sal and headed back for the bridge.

*Meanwhile, on the bridge itself, Deis was just treatin' herself to a sigh of relief as a number of calls came through from the planet surface.*
=^= Wolf to El salvador I'm going to head deeper into the mountain range to try and find our lost Zimmerman if you can spare anybody I could use the help.=^=
*Punching a command on her chair arm Deis replies, * =^= Search at yer discretion, Mr. Wolf. All senior officers are hip deep in their own work at the moment so I'm afraid yer on yer own Marine. *Barely havin' closed the channel Deis got another bleep from an incoming hail, this time from her recently promoted Ops Chief aboard the recovery shuttle* =^=Away team to Captain Irae, our mission is complete, we have collected all the remaining fragments and are now heading back home.=^=
*Though she smiled a bit at the extra piece of good news, it was bittersweet so long as her science chief was unaccounted fer. Frowning slightly for a moment, Deis opened a channel in response,* =^= Bang up job, Commander Hope. Yer promotion was well deserved. I'm afraid we cannae take ye back just yet though. Ascend to an altitude sufficient to guarantee a risk-free transport of yer recovered fragments t' the El Sal's quaratine labs. Then get yerselves back down and pass over e'ery inch o' that planet if need be. We will nae be leavin' until I 'ave either a livin' Science Chief or a damned convincin' corpse, unnerstand? Try and reach Parsons or tha' new Marine chief and see if'n they've found out anything helpful. Find him Hope. Irae out. =^=

Judd leaned back in his seat with a gusty sigh of relief. He mumbled a word of thanks to Savot, then, as the XO of the El Sal transported out, Judd rose from his seat. "Alright, good work, folks. Let's get this thing back to regular working condition, and git outta here."
Interestingly, now that the pressure was off, the remainder of the repairs were able to be performed at a more liesurely and thorough pace. Even so, with many pairs of hands to make light work, the station was back to full operation in just under two hours. Judd and his team gathered up their gear, and once they were ready, Judd tapped his comm. =/\=Sandage to El Salvador, Seven to transport.=/\=
About three seconds later, the cool blue transporter beam swallowed seven people and deposited them aboard the El Sal. Judd turned to his people. "Okay folks, stow yer gear an' call it a day. Dismissed." Judd himself went to his office, put away his tool kit, and three minutes later was in his cabin. A sonic shower and a change of clothes later, Judd was back in his office, working on the report that the Captain would want.

It had been a long time since Kevin had been so close to death, or so it seemed to the science officer. He enjoyed his newly discovered life almost as much as the one he'd had aboard the El Salvador. But he constantly found himself wishing he had some way to reach Commander Savot and the others. There simply wasn't anything he could use, though the last city the music group had visited boasted an wide variety of technology, albeit primitive.
The music group was called Tet'chek, which Kevin figured was some sort of name the group has spontaneously come up with. His trumpet mixed well with the alien instruments, which seemed to be mostly a variety of string and percussive instruments. Althought Kevin didn't like some of the music, none of it was too outlandish, and none of it - thank God - bore any resemblence to country. Kevin had not practiced enough while on the El Salvador, but he had quickly regained his chops.
One night (technically, morning), Kevin stood outside the performance hall where the band had recently finished playing, and caught sight of an official-looking person who made his slow way toward the off-worlder.
"Are... you... Zimmerman?" asked the man in slow, poor English. Kevin wasn't sure he'd heard correctly, and asked the man to repeat what he'd said (one of the phrases Kevin had picked up, and probably the most used as well). "Are... you... Zimmerman?" asked the man again.
"Yes! Yes, I am!" nodded Kevin. "Were you-"
The man held up his hands and said something quickly in the native tongue. Kevin got the idea that he only knew how to ask him who he was, and that Kevin shouldn't move. The official hurried off into the night. Kevin was intent on waiting for him, but the band was soon returning to the hotel they were staying at, and Kevin was forced to leave.

Wolf: Looked at his team of Marines " It would appear Commander Parsons had a hand in getting you guys free I'll have to thank him later, Okay we are going through the mountain range according to the locals there are coastal city on the other side. I'm hoping our Zimmerman is in one of them unable to contact us. So lets move" Wolf team formed up on him and started there hike through the mountains. It took only a couple of hours to make it through when they arrived on the other side of the mountain range they found there first small town along the ocean. Giving his team a break wolf when looking for the towns leader to ask him a few question. On his way to the towns center wolf eyed a poster on the outside of a drinking establishment. Having to do a double take to make sure he wasn't seeing things he walked over to look at it closely there on the poster was a picture of a man who looked allot like zimmerman . All of a sudden he started to laugh he couldn't help him self.
Wolf: Snatched the poster of the wall and walked in to ask the owner a few question. After talking to the owner wolf found out the people on the poster were some kind of band and had left 2 days ago to the next town. Still having a hard time believing his luck wolf walked back out side to contact the captain. I hope she's got a sense of humor. Pulling a tracking device from his gear he attached it to the poster and signaled the ship.
" Wolf to Captain Irae Mam your not going to believe this it might be easier for you to look at something first can you have the transporter room beam something to the bridge It might be easier then trying to explain it because even I don't understand it. Lock on to my homing signal when ready. Me and my team are going to move out and head to the next town " <Tag Irae>

*The first thing Deis did as she heard her Marine officer's transmission was wonder if he'd taken in some bad local water or something, the man dinnae make any sense. But, if for no other reason than to sate her own curiousity at this point she piped a message down below.* =^= Bridge t' Transporter Room 1, Mr. Wolf's puttin' out a homing signal. Lock on and transport directly t' the bridge if'n the biofilters check out. =^=
*A few seconds later the irish Captain figured the object musta cleared the checks since it appeared on the console in between ops and the helm. Her eyes were still squinting with a sort of frustrated bewilderment as she picked up the portrait and saw what Wolf had been goin' on about. Not waiting even the 7ish feet it'd take to get back to her chair, Deis slammed her finger down onto the ops station's hail button.* =^= Damn fine job Marine! Ye've earned yer week's pay. Track Zimmerman t' tha' next town ye're headed towards. Relay yer current position t' Parsons an' hail Ethan on tha' shuttle an' give 'im coordinates fer tha' next village. I willnae accept anymore of my crew getting lost on this planet. All of you keep a hard eye on each other's backs. Keep me informed, Irae out. =^=
*Towards the end her focus on the situation had driven much of the brogue from her speech, but it was a good focus... one of hope. Taking in a deep breath through her nose Deis sat back down in the center seat, the proof of her Science Chief's survival clutched firmly in her grasp...*

As soon as the fragments had been transported off the shuttle, Ethan immediately headed back down to the planet to look for Kevin. It had been more than eight hours since his shuttle had been discovered destroyed in the middle of that lake. Ethan was positive that Kevin was alive, he was to hard headed to let himself die.
"Commander we are being hailed by the El Salvador," Ensign Smith. It seemed that the Marine chief had gotten lucky and got a great tip. The coordinates that he had recieved were less than twenty miles away from the lake.
"Contact the ship and inform them that I will beam down to the planet," Ethan said as he took a medkit and waited to be transported to the coordinates that he had been given.

" Understood Captain I just hope Mr. Zimmerman hasn't decided to leave us and become a rock star" with a little chuckle in his voice. "Excellent work, Marine. I will brief the local authorities and meet you in the town."
Parsons relayed the good news to the commander of the search and rescue effort and resources were redeployed to secure the roads leading out of the mountain town now being approached by Wolf and his marines.
Adam was then transported up to Hope's shuttle and greeted by Ensign Smith.
"Sir, Commander Hope has transported down to the town," the Ensign said as Parsons noticed he was surrounded by Marine gear. The CTSO helped the Ensign stow the gear and transported down to Hopes location as the squad of Marines approached the outskirts of the town.
Parsons looked around for a few minutes before locating Mr. Hope. The El Sal's Ops Chief seemed to be looking at a poster on the side of a building.
"Ethan," Parsons said approaching him from the street. <TAG Hope et al>

Wolf: arrived in the town in less then hour on there apporach he saw Commander Parsons and Lt hope arriving. He had to give credit to Hope he had ran just as hard and his team and arrived. Wolf estimation of hope had gone up a few points and he had a new foudn respect for him. Wolf knew it wasn't a easy run and had pushed his team and they performed quite well.
Wolf: looked at Commander Parsons " Sir I suggest we start our search at the local drinking holes. It would seem thats where this group plays maybe we can get a lead on where they are staying from the owner of the clubs." <Tag Parsons>
Wolf: Looked at Hope and walked over to him, for his part he wasn't showing any signs of being tired but wolf knew better. He pulled some pills from his pocket and gave one to hope. " dont worry there not going to do anything but put more oyxgen into your system there perfectly legal and standard issue for marines. It just one of those things we keep quite so you all think we are superman. It will cut down on the tired feeling you might have, and there natural no chemicals no side effects other then you might get alittle hungery alittle later" <Tag Hope>

The lead chet'ket player of the band was a short little man who was usually very nice. Whenever he got angry, his face would strongly resemble a tomato and he'd begin yelling. Kevin though he looked very amusing, but kept his mouth shut. He could pick up chords much more quickly than some of the other members of the band. The 2-5-1 progression was not as popular on this planet, but it still seemed to be the most common organisation of chords. What really irked Kevin was his lack of ability to read the alien music. In addition, some chords held more than seven notes, while some held less, and he had departed from the acceptable chord many times before he really understood what he was supposed to be playing.
One of the oddest things was the chet'ket, which was essentially a bunch of magnets put together in a very complex way. Certain magnets resonated when struck with a mallet. The connections between the chet'ket's various parts was impossible for Kevin to understand, and he learned that even amoung the natives it was difficult to learn how to play the instrument. Kevin had noticed that some of the chet'ket players (not the lead player, but many others) were less than sobre when they played their instrument. Apparently, some sort of drug enhanced their abilities during performance and gave them a horrible headache afterward. Kevin was strongly remined of the classic rock era of Earth, and hoped these alien drugs were not as lethal as some on Earth had been.
"Hey, Zimmerman," said the lead chet'ket player. He pronounced 'Zimmerman' with an odd accent, as did all of the natives. "People are looking for you. Come with me. I'll show you."
Kevin was grateful that the short man used simple sentences. Without the universal translator, it had taken some time to learn the mere basics of the alien language, and Kevin still had problems with dialouging. He followed the man out of the hotel lounge the group had been playing webok (a game which mixed billiards and hard physical contact) in, much to the disappointment of the other players. Once outside, the chet'ket player pointed to a group of people on the outskirts of town. Kevin tried to see above the automobiles and pedestrians in the city. At first he didn't see anything, but then...
"Is that Parsons? And Hope?" Kevin asked no one in particular. It was difficult to make out the Starfleet uniforms at this distance, but they couldn't very well be anything else.
"Eh?" asked the chet'ket player. "You leaving?"
Kevin bit his lip. He hated to leave the band like this, because they were quickly rising in popularity due to Kevin's unique instrument, but duty called, and he missed the El Salvador. "Yes," he said nodding. "Sorry."
The man shrugged. "That's okay. You helped a lot. Go get your trumpet." Once again, the foreign word sounded odd.
"You- You're giving it to me?" asked Kevin, surprised.
"I never had to pay you," said the man, smiling. "Its the least I can do. Come back again some time, Kevin Zimmerman."
They shook hands, and the chet'ket player took one last long, hard look at Kevin. Then his face broke into a grin and he shuffled back into the hotel. Kevin retrieved his trumpet and made his way to the other officers. He looked back once at the hotel, sighed, and then resumed his course. It would be a long time before he got back to this planet...

Savot was just getting back to the bridge over an hour after Captain Irae had gotten the poster beamed up from Wolf. After beaming back from Platform 3 following the meteors' successful destruction, the vulcan had gone to sickbay to observe and assist Dr. Minn in her treatment of Councilwoman Zairce's daughter.
Minn, after reviewing the data gathered from the recovered fragments, had developed what she felt was the proper treatment regimen. Councilwoman Zairce had requested that her daughter be the first to receive treatment, even knowing the risk involved in being the first test subject. Dr. Minn administered the hypo she'd prepared, and waited for several tense moments before the daughter's life readings slowly began to return to normal. Sighing in relief, Minn informed Zairce of the success and had a chair moved near her daughter's biobed so the Councilwoman could wait until her daughter regained consciousness. Commander Savot politely excused himself, informing Zarice both of the full success of the meteor deterrent and that Captain Irae had come back aboard should she wish to confer with her after her daughter awoke.
***************************************
As the vulcan stepped back onto the bridge he was almost immediately greeted by an incoming message from Commander Parsons who, as senior officer on scene, was reporting the successful recovery of a very much alive, if a tad scruffy after his recent ordeals, Commander Zimmerman.
Smiling widely, the Captain turned to her First Officer in satisfaction. Savot returned the gesture with a satisfied nod of his own, taking a seat at the Ops console until Ethan and the others got back to the El Salvador with the shuttlecraft. The only thing left to do now was remain on station for the next few hours to make sure the radiation treatment was taking hold on the global scale.
<Tag any actual dialogue inserts if anyone feels the desire to elaborate my "they reported this/he said that/etc.", and any further expounding. Mission will hopefully get wrapped up in the next couple of days. >

"Chancellor I'm happy to report that the vaccine is currently being rushed towards every medical and triage center," councilmen Lusa reported," in a matter of hours every person on Cornian will be safe from the radiation."
"That is great news," Zarice replied with a genuine smile on her face. It had been a very long time since she had done that and meant it. "What about the meteors?"
"Our defense platforms will take care of them," Lusa responded," in a matter of days we will be able to forget about this plague that has effected our home."
"Yes, your right, but before that can happen we will show hour saviors proper thanks," Zarice said," prepare a feast in the National Plaza and send out all of our surplus food to the states. Tell them that they are to give the food to everyone and anyone."
"Understood," Lusa responded and cut the transmission. This indeed was a great time for the people of her homeland and hopefully the Federation would accept them into there community of planets.
"Computer where are the command team of the ship?" Zarice asked.
"The command team are currently located on the bridge." Zarice would thank them first and then show them what a grateful people were like.

<Backpost: Finding Zimmerman and Reporting In.>
Parsons stood near an intersection discussing how the search for Zimmerman would proceed with Lt. Commander Hope and Captain Wolf. Wolf's squad of marines stood by anxiously awaiting their next order.
"Well, I suggest we proceed to the venue on the poster and see if they have seen Kevin," Parsons was saying as he was struck with the realization that a familiar figure was walking down the street toward them.
Parsons squinted and took a hard look, "Zimmerman?!" the Commander shouted, equally a question and an exclamation. As the figure moved closer Parsons and Hope moved to join him and confirmed that it was indeed their lost Science Chief.
"My God, Kevin, it's good to see you." Adam clasped his crewmate's hand and shook it heartily. The men exchanged stories, Kevin of being stranded and the others of the search and situation on the ship and planet.
After their exchanged, the entire team transported up to the El Sal. Once safely aboard and off the transporter pad, Parsons tapped his combadge and informed the Captain and bridge crew of Kevin's return to the ship. Adam posted a security officer to look after Kevin, as was standard procedure until the newly found officer was re-acclimated to the ship. Parsons went directly to the bridge and made a full report.

Wolf: Was happy to be back aboard the El-Salvador they had found Zimmerman and the mission was wrapping in. He was looking forward to a shower and a hot meal. As he went back to his quarters he started to think about his first mission.
Wolf: He still hadn't dealt with that yet being the Body guard for a admiral and seeing the admiral get shot on his watch. He still felt like he had failed even though the admiral had lived and he had cuaght the asasin he still felt like he had failed. He knew there would come a time where he would have to protect the captain and was hoping he wouldn't fail her. Entering his quarters he showered ate and headed for the bridge.

After logging an official report of his time planetside, and being checked out by Sickbay and deemed clear of any alien organisms, Kevin headed for the science rooms. He was delighted to learn that the fragments had all been recovered and that his part of the clean-up had been completed. Saliberus and Fenchurch were both glad to see him, and they made him recite his experiences (again). Kevin wasn't a very good story-teller, and the fact that he had relied heavilly upon the natives rather than his own capabilities made him feel a little shy whenever anyone asked about it, but no one else seemed heavilly concerned about how he'd gotten picked up by the band, or how the fisherman had saved him from probably drowning. Or rather, everyone seemed happy to learn that he wasn't dead (as many had believed recently), and no one wanted to rain on the party.
It was at about 2100 that Kevin stopped by the officer's lounge and found Parsons and Hope there, catching up on various reports coming in from the ship and planet.
"Hey, Kevin," said Ethan, waving him over. "How's it going?"
Kevin shrugged, his youth readily apparent in the adolescent-esque reaction. "I'm rather bored, actually. You've gone and finished everything while I was away, I think. Do you want to bring me up to speed?"

Adam's report of Kevin's safe return had piped through to the bridge a few minutes prior, and Savot turned around in his chair at one of the auxiliary stations at the back of the bridge to face in the direction of the Captain's chair, "Captain, personnel report coming in from Command. A new Chief Navigation Officer has been transferred to this command, one Commander Travor Gonto. He's been shuttled to Starbase Assailant for retrieval there, or if our return is significantly delayed a shuttle can be provided for his use to rendevous with us."
Deis turned in her chair to face her First Officer as he began giving the news, and nodded with satisfaction at the information, "Well, we've just about got a full senior staff now. Tis quite a change from just a few months earlier; good news indeed. Hmm, well I'm nae sure how long it'll be before we break orbit. We'll 'ave to stay until we be sure the radiation treatments take an' the Corinian business is all settled."
As if summoned by the mentioning, the turbolift whooshed open to reveal Councilwoman Zarice. Standing up upon noticing her, Savot clasped his hands behind his back as he spoke, "Councilwoman Zarice, may I present Captain Deis Irae, commander of the El Salvador. Captain, this is Councilwoman Zarice, liason between the Corinian council and our relief efforts."
