The would be reaching earth soon it have been alont time since he had seen earth. He was looking forward to seeing it again and getting the rest of the senior staff back. While it wasn't a big deal they were gone it still was lonely on the ship. He missed his friend and hope Commander Jackson was doing okay. Still it would be nice to get everybody back where they belonged and back out there into the unkown.
He was looking forward to getting back to work and seeing something they haven't seen before meeting new races. Oh well he could wait a little longer after call family was family and Commander Jackson need some time to deal with her family issues.

The El Salvador-B had returned to the 'nest' so to speak, to planet Earth, a few times since her commissioning and Savot always found it intriguing how so many crewmembers, even non-humans who had never lived on that blue-green globe seemed invigorated every time they approached it. The United Federation of Planets, though humans certainly comprised a large percentage of it, was an ideal as much as it was an institution... and an ideal which by its very nature had no prejudice or exclusion within it, and the vulcan officer frequently found himself very priviledged to be even a tiny component of that all-encompassing vision.
As the vessel received its orbital permission from Starfleet Headquarters, her crew began to either disembark to visit, however briefly, friends and family or stay aboard ship and either make time for personal projects they'd been putting off... or even just taking a moment to relax in the lounge over a drink or conversation. Any leave requests that were feasible to the unknown nature of the El Salvador's stay around Earth, first among those a priority clearance for either a shuttle or use of the transporters for the Hope family since their wife and mother was already on the surface, were granted with the firm understanding that any departing crewmember was to remain reachable at all times.
Captain Savot stood on the outer hull around the main deflector in a stark white space suit, his feet and those of the engineering team accompanying him rooted firmly to the ship via magnetic boots. In truth he was mainly there to oversee the routine maintenance checks on the deflector's physical components, as he felt that too much direct 'interference' from a commanding officer could be viewed as a lack of faith in his or her crew's abilities, and especially of late Savot's belief in the crew's performance was quite high.
However, he also felt it beneficial for a superior to interact directly with each facet of the crew from time to time to ensure them that they were considered equally important and not taken for granted. The 'human relations' portion of command was never one of his strongest points, and it was for that reason he had never intended to pursue command on his own, but all he could do was give his best attempt and see where that took him.
Kneeling down beside the open panel to one of the deflector's power transfer coils, the vulcan detached the magnetically secured tool that had been requested by the Engineering Lieutenant checking the coil, then activated his suit's comm-unit for his half-hour report to the bridge, =^=Savot to Bridge. Diagnostic team's status is nominal; the stability of components Epsilon-23 through Gamma-7 has been manually verified. Estimated completion of manual diagnostic in 1.7 hours, Savot out.=^=
Thus far the vulcan had no personal plans to go below to the planet's surface that currently, due to his 'upside-down' orientation, hovered in space above his head. However, the demands of duty while in Earth's orbit should be sufficiently malleable to provide him the opportunity to leave the ship should it be necessary.

S’reena headed off toward a transporter room after giving Stacey the address of her parents house, Stacey wanted to make another stop off in to see her Dean before going to Australia.
Stacey walked into the small hospital room and almost immediately bumped into Jennifer the woman she discovered was to be her daughter in law and mother of her grandchild. Stacey smiled and immediately hugged Jennifer something she realized she didn’t do the first time.
“Welcome to the family dear.”
Jennifer chuckled as she was being almost crushed by Stacey’s hug. “Thank you Mrs. Jackson.”
Stacey pushed back on Jennifer and looked her sternly in the eye. “We will have non of that Mrs stuff… call me Stacey.”
A big smile grew across Jennifer face as she said. “Stacey it is.”
The two spoke for about an hour, during their conversation they shared stories about Dean, about Jennifer’s life ambitions and about Deans father, the topic of the topic of the baby never escaped Jennifer’s lips and Stacey couldn’t blame her it was something Dean had no doubt wanted to do himself.
Stacey stood up and smiled widely as she said.
“I have to go now Jen, I will be in Australia if you need me.”
*** Half an Hour later***
The warm heat on her face was something Stacey had missed awfully about earth since transferring to a starship, even the holodeck couldn’t manufacture the feeling of the sun beating on the skin.
Stacey walked up to a house and took a deep breath, she double checked the address but hesitated pushing the doorbell. After a second she pushed it, and waited nervously for a response she had no idea what to expect of S’reena’s parents.

(Back post for the good Doc)
He arrived in Medical to begin his physical after they were in orbit around earth. He wasn't a big fan of Medical but the doc was seemed to be okay in his book. Besides it was better then putting it off and having to do it when he was busy with reports and Training.
As the doc started his scan he caught the question he asked.
" Other then some fresh bruises from Commander Hope I'm feeling fine. Before you ask yes I have had some broken bones and scars from previous missions. According to the Doc at the time every seemed to heal up nicely. Although I do feel a little stiff once in awhile Doc"
(Current)
He had finished his physical and arrived on the bridge the captain was there. A quick scan found the captain monitoring some refits out side the ship. He kept a close eye on him just in case something malfunctioned, the captain was more the able but sometimes it was good just to have a saftey net.
While he was working he noticed some orders waiting for him granting him the rank of Col 1st class. He was a little shocked but with everything that had gone on he hadn't had time to read his mail. He would adjust his rank when he was off shift he was still concerned about Commander Jackson but didn't want to press her. He figured when she was ready to call the ship she would.

Rihan tr'H'Idlanii and T'Reya t'H'Idlanii stood watching their youngest child, clutching at eachother in horror. Their daughter was blind, but she was doing a very good job of hiding it from them. Now that they knew, they could see the subtle differences.
T'Reya stepped forward as Stacey entered, holding out both hands towards the woman. "It's so nice to finally meed some of my daughter's friends," she exclaimed. The woman looked very much like her daughter, except that she was at least twice her age.
At that precise moment, Michael and the children materialised right into the livingroom. He crossed the brief distance to his wife, giving her a quick kiss. "Lieutenant Michael Hope," he introduced himself, "I'm happy to finally meet my wife's parents in person." The two Romulan elders smiled in return, moving off a slight distance to have a quiet conversation with the new arrival.
S'reena smiled, happy that Michael was welcomed so warmly, even though it took nearly seven years for him to be finally and officially be introduced to them. She tapped her combadge. "Hope to El-Salvador. Captain, I would like to extend an invitation to you and the remaining senior staff to reside at my parent's house." Her smile widened. "I believe Doctor K'Vada would find the area to his liking, with a wide variety of plant and animal life to study. You yourself would find it adequate for your tastes to...sir. The area is remote and very quiet."

Stepping inside the house Stacey immediately felt like she had made a mistake agreeing to come, she couldn’t get her mind out of that hospital room and every second she spent away made her feel a tad guilty about not being there.
S’reena’s mother was the first to approach Stacey with both arms outstretched it took Stacey a little by surprise, the mother wasn’t much like the daughter S’reena didn’t strike Stacey as an openly warm and friendly person she was more reserved, however her mother seemed quite the opposite.
Stacey smiled widely as she walked toward S’reena’a mother.
“I am Stacey Jackson it is a pleasure to meet you.”
S’reena’s mothers attention was soon diverted from Stacey as Michael Hope and the children beamed into the house, Stacey looked to the smiling children and again felt a pang of guilt.
She walked over to S’reena just in time to over hear her invite the senior crew to stay at her parents house. Stacey didn’t interrupt instead she walked towards Michael now answering a flurry of questions from S’reena’s parents and said.
“Sorry for interrupting but please apologise to S’reena for me but I need to go back to San Francisco.”
Stacey didn’t wait around instead she walked out of the house and slowly made her way back to the transporter padd used by the citizens of the town. Stacey just couldn’t handle being in the room with an entire smiling family when her only family was laying on a hospital bed.
*** San Francisco***
Stacey arrived back in the hospital room she had grown to loath, she sat back down next to Dean and grabbed his hand.
“It’s time to wake up Dean.” She said quietly as she laid back in her chair and closed her eyes five minutes later she was asleep for the first time since hearing about Deans accident.

Savot was just stowing his space suit after completing the deflector diagnostic, the condensation of the sweat built up during the work pressed the outer edges of his hair against his temples and forehead, when a communication signal came up from Commander Hope, =^=Hope to El-Salvador. Captain, I would like to extend an invitation to you and the remaining senior staff to reside at my parent's house. I believe Doctor K'Vada would find the area to his liking, with a wide variety of plant and animal life to study. You yourself would find it adequate for your tastes to...sir. The area is remote and very quiet.=^=
Savot's right eyebrow arched at the unexpected invitation but he tapped his badge in reply without hesitation, =^=Though I do not know how long I can avail myself of their hospitality, I would be honored to meet more of your family, Commander. I cannot speak for the others but I will ensure the invitation is disseminated amongst the other senior officers. Thank you for your invitation I shall join you shortly. Savot out.=^=
The vulcan set about returning to his normally presentable state; a sonic shower here and brushing his hair back to its routine neatness was quickly followed by the donning of a fresh uniform. The transporter room was quickly able to pinpoint Hope's location via her commbadge and the vulcan captain materialized on the path leading to the front porch, his hands at his sides as opposed to his usual posture of holding them behind his back.
Upon seeing the individuals he presumed to be S'reena's family from their appearance, Savot raised his right hand in the traditional vulcan salute not in any subtle manner of implying the link between vulcans and romulans, but simply because he himself was vulcan and that was the greeting he knew, "Peace and long life. I thank you for your hospitality; it pleases me to have the opportunity to convey my satisfaction with your daughter's performance since joining our crew. Indeed, Dr. Hope has been of assistance in our sickbay as well, and Ladies Kahlan and Yarna have also proven quite helpful in evaluating our ship's security protocols."

Her eyes opened slowly as she felt something give her a sharp prod in the shoulder.
“Mum your snoring.”
She turned her head and muttered. “Oh sorry.” She turned her head to go back to sleep when her eyes popped open completely and she was wide awake. She jumped out of her chair in an instant. “Dean your awake.” She leaned in and hugged him almost squeezing the life out of him.
Dean winced as his mum hugged hi for all she was worth. “Yeah I woke up an hour or so ago.”
Stacey moved back and smacked his shoulder. ‘You should have woken me dear.”
“I didn’t want to disturb you.” Stacey was glad to see the colour had returned to his face, he was no longer pale as she was when she first arrived.
“Mum…. I am getting married.”
She smiled as she sat back down. “I know that already.”
Dean looked confused and inquisitively asked. “how do you know?” She grinned as she replied. “I’m your mother I know everything.”
*** 2 Hours later***
Stacey had been asked to leave the hospital room as visiting hours were over, she toyed with the idea of going to S’reena’s house but she decided against it she wanted to spend sometime alone.
She stepped out of the hospital and tapped her comm. Badge. “Jackson to El Salvador… one to beam up… energize.”
A second later she was standing in the transporter room of the El Salvador, she made her way directly out of the room. She made her way directly to the bridge hoping to let Savot know she was back on board, however when she arrived she learnt he had gone down to Earth to visit S’reena and her parents.
Stacey left a message for him with the bridge crew and made her way to the mess hall even though she had eaten a rather big lunch she had yet again gotten very hungry.

He noticed Commander Jackson appearance on the bridge briefly before he could say anything she was already gone. Looking around there was a whole lot for him to do a quick check and showed she was in the mess hall. He was feeling a little hungry and decided to go and get some food and check on Jackson at the same time.
Arriving in the mess hall and getting a bowel of pea soup he found Jackson sitting by herself. He walked over and took a seat next to her and sat down, he wasn't sure what to say but felt he need to say something.
" I hope all is well with your son Commander Jackson, while I don't have any children and can not relate to your worry. I still hope all is well and you are doing okay, I know it must be hard to balance personal issue's while dealing with a career in star fleet."
He kept quite hoping his words cared the feelings he was trying to get across. " My father told me once that no matter what you do in life if you have kids you will always be a parent first before all else. Needless to say he always ask when I will settle down and make him a grandfather." <Tag Jackson>

Arriving in the mess hall that was rather empty Stacey ordered a large salad and coffee from the replicator, she walked to an unoccupied table preferring for the moment to sit alone.
She was about half way through her salad when she heard the chair next to her move she looked up to see Colonel Wolf take a seat next to her. She offered him a small smile before he said.
Needless to say he always ask when I will settle down and make him a grandfather."
Stacey put down her fork and turned to Wolf and replied. “Yes Dean is awake now and he is going to be fine.” She paused and thought over what Wolf had said he was told about being a parent.
“When you first hold your newborn child in your hands all you thought was important fades from your mind… that small life in your arms becomes the most important thing you have ever done or ever will do… it is the scariest and most wonderful part of your life.”
She lifted the mug of coffee to her mouth and savoured the aroma before taking a mouthful.
“Being a parent is never easy but the rewards far outweigh the costs… and when you get to mine and your fathers age… you realise your job as a parent is never over no matter what you thought or how old your children get… They turn around and give you a grandchild… and you can watch as your own children suffer through the sleepless nights and endless diaper changes and you know that they finally understand why you did the things you did when they were young.”
Stacey finished the remaining coffee in the mug and set the empty cup on the table. She looked to Wolf one last time and said.
“If you will excuse me Colonel… I have some paperwork I need to catch up on.”
With that, she stood up and walked out of the mess hall towards her office.

"I am T'Reya and this is my husband Rihan," S'reena's mother introduced herself and her mate, "overthere is my son T'Rell. We are honoured to receive our daughter's commanding officer in our home. Please, be comfortable. May I offer you anything?"
The woman smiled at her daughter, who turned a darker shade of green when her daughters were mentioned. "Now now S'reena, there's no reason to be embarassed by the fact that he knows your children. I assume he has a very good reason to recall them."
S'reena nodded. "They went to his readyroom, to hide...a children's game they were playing. I was on an away mission at the time and Michael was supposed to watch them."
In turn, Michael quickly snuck away, casting everyone an apologetic smile.
Yarna tugged the captain's pant leg, looking up with a hopeful look in her eyes. "Will you play with us?"
"Yarna, he's the captain!" Kahlan hissed, before her cousins pulled her away. Yarna, however, was very persistent.
T'Reya walked over to her daughter. "He's very hansome," she whispered, her eyes bright in bemusement.
"Mother!" She sighed. "You must excuse my mother captain, she's not used to so many visitors from Starfleet..." She scowled under her breath. "Weren't you going to get some refreshments? Otherwise I am.." She desperately wanted to be away from her mother right now.
T'Rell smiled, patting his younger sibling on the shoulder. "Easy there little sister. Were more of your fellow crewmates coming down?" He glanced past her at the Vulcan. "Are there? Do we need to prepare guestrooms?"

He watched as Commander Jackson left and took what she said to heart. He didn't know what the future may hold for him but the advice would stay with him. Finishing his meal he got up and went back to the bridge with the captain off ship he wanted to make surre repairs and upgrades were completed. He didn't doubt the star base personal but want to make sure things were at there best for the captain and crews return.
Arriving ont he bridge he looked around it was wierd not seeing Roberts at the tatical station. He missed his friend besides the captain he was the longest serving officer aboard the El-Sal. The new officer seemed to be fitting in and getting a feel for the ship. Still he wished Roberts was still here, although he tatical skills were improving and he was knocking off the rust. He was lucky thoe Roberts had left him a few training programs and notes to help him out.
He was getting the itch again to be out there among the stars, he didn't mind shore leave but he was ready to get going again. Still he knew the other officer didn't get to earth that much and were taking advantage of the moment. He couldn't blame them for that who knew when they would get a chance to return again. Still it was odd for the El-Sal to feel so empty funny how much life a crew can bring to a ship the thought to himself.

"I am T'Reya and this is my husband Rihan," S'reena's mother introduced herself and her mate, "overthere is my son T'Rell. We are honoured to receive our daughter's commanding officer in our home. Please, be comfortable. May I offer you anything?"
Savot bowed his head to each member of the family as they were introduced, then shook it slightly in response to T'Reya's offer, "I am content for the moment, though your offer is most kind."
After listening to the exchange involving the girls' visit to the Ready Room, he nodded, clasping his hands behind him at this point in his usual posture, "I was pleased to have the opportunity to meet them. Few of the El Salvador crew elect to bring family with them so I don't often encounter children aboard ship."
As though summoned by the reference to their first meeting, Yarna tugged the captain's pant leg, looking up with a hopeful look in her eyes. "Will you play with us?"
"Yarna, he's the captain!" Kahlan hissed, before her cousins pulled her away. Yarna, however, was very persistent.
Savot unclasped his hands and knelt on his left knee to make himself more level with the young girl. He laid his hands atop his right knee as he responded to her inquiry, "Your invitation is most kind, Miss Yarna. I commend you on your thoughtfulness as a hostess. However, since you will be aboard ship when we leave Earth and your grandparents will not, logic dictates that I use this time to speak with them and join you in recreation after we depart. Agreed?" The vulcan finished with one of his softer expressions.
The vulcan captain then heard a low exchange between T'Reya and S'reena, after which S'reena addressed him, "You must excuse my mother captain, she's not used to so many visitors from Starfleet..." Her tone of voice seemed to signify some sort of tension. "Weren't you going to get some refreshments? Otherwise I am..", S'reena inquired of her mother.
Savot looked toward his Science Chief, "There can be no offense where none is taken, Commander. Rest assured your mother's charitable assessment of my appearance caused no discomfort on my part."
T'Rell smiled, patting his younger sibling on the shoulder, perhaps attempting to alleviate her discomfort. "Easy there little sister. Were more of your fellow crewmates coming down?" He glanced past her at the Vulcan. "Are there? Do we need to prepare guestrooms?"
As Savot made to respond, his commbadge chirped. "Forgive the interruption; this message may better equip me to respond to your inquiry", Savot said as he bowed his head in polite apology before tapping the badge, =^=Savot here.=^=
=^=Lieutenant Kelbren, sir. I apologize for any interruption but you left orders to be notified of updates to the condition of Counselor Jackson's son. The Counselor has returned to the ship and she said he'd regained consciousness; the immediate crisis has passed and Commander Jackson is prepared to depart at your convenience=^=, the gruff voice of the Klingon engineering officer who'd once critically wounded Savot in a fit of alien-induced madness relayed the message seemingly from thin air.
Savot nodded, a habit he'd yet to shake when responding to communications where the recipient had no way of seeing said nod, before responding, =^=Thank you, Lieutenant. Begin recalling ship's personnel and inform everyone we shall break orbit at the beginning of Alpha shift tomorrow morning, Savot out.=^=
Taking a step forward to rejoin the circle of conversation within the Romulan home, Savot replied to T'Rell's earlier question, "It would seem no extra guestrooms will be needed this visit, though on behalf of my senior officers I extend gratitude for your willingness to provide them."
The vulcan faced his Science Officer though that was hardly necessary for her to hear him, "However, you and your family are free to remain here until 0700 tomorrow should you so desire Commander."
Addressing his hostess then he bowed slightly in apology, "I regret the brevity of our introduction Madame, though I am pleased to at least have met you and your family. I hope I shall have the honor of conversing with you again. Perhaps next time we can extend the El Salvador's hospitality to you in return."

"You and your crew are always welcome here captain," T'Reya answered formally, "we have the room and there is enough around to accomodate those who wish to go sightseeing." She grinned. "Soon, the skiing season will start, I'm sure you'd love that."
"Mother!" S'reena hissed, "Captain Savot does not ski. He's Vulcan, and Vulcan's don't like cold." She sighed as she thanked the captain for the leave extension and gave her word she'd be back aboard by 0700. Now she remembered why had never invited her crewmates home, even though she knew that had hurt her mother in the past.
She felt an arm circle around her shoulder. "Don't worry," Michael whispered, "I think your mother is just happy to have had visitors. I don't think she knows that was embarassing to you." He chuckled. "Look at it this way....be glad he's Vulcan, there's no feelings to hurt and he won't get embarassed."
"You're wrong," the Romulan replied softly, "he does, but he doesn't show. Mother should've known better, especially with T'Rell married to one..."
"Come, let's go for a walk. The weather is beautiful and it's still warm. We'll take the children and then when we get back wel'll make dinner for your parents. I mean, you still love to cook don't you?"
"Do I ever?" S'reena smiled, placed her hand in Michael's and allowed him to lead her outside.
~~
At 0700 exactly, the entire Hope family materialised on the transporter PADD. "I'm taking the kids with me, you should report on the bridge," Michael said, taking Kyala from her.
S'reena nodded. "I'll get back into uniform later," she mused, then headed for the turbolift, Auric in tow. Seconds later, she stepped out on the bridge. "Commander S'reena Hope, reporting for duty," she announced, "permission to change into uniform?"

Savot departed the home of S'reena's family, once again extending the vulcan hand salute and the sentiment, "Live long, and prosper" before the transporter pulled him back to his command. Having heard of Jackson's return to the ship, the vulcan made his way to the Ready Room tapping his commbadge en route as there was something he wished to discuss with the Counselor, =^=Savot to Counselor Jackson. When your schedule permits I would like to speak with you in the Ready Room. I will be working there regardless so there is no need for haste if you are currently otherwise occupied.=^=
(Jackson response if any)
*******************************
The characteristic whoosh of the Ready Room doors revealed Counselor Jackson, at which time Savot politely stood to welcome her, "Thank you for coming, Counselor, please sit down."
Vulcans aren't famous for their small talk, so when they have a particular matter to discuss they tend to get right to it, and this was no exception, "Commander Jackson, after allocating considerable length and intensity of consideration to the matter I would ask you to consider becoming the El Salvador's First Officer."
He paused a moment to let the statement itself sink in before expounding on his thought process, "I have allowed the position to remain vacant for too long and our last mission in particular has demonstrated that I alone am incapable of addressing every situation that may arise. A First Officer supplements a Captain's command resources, anticipating his or her needs and intentions while also pointing out alternative points of view for the Captain's consideration. Both your years on vulcan and your training as a Counselor should serve you well in antipating my style of command and understanding the basis upon which my orders are given."
"There is of course the matter of technical proficiency as well, but it's come to my attention you've sought to learn certain facets of starship operation since coming aboard the El Salvador and I have no doubt in your ability to eventually attain a command-grade understanding of those operations. My main reasoning behind your selection is the fact that a ship's First Officer often serves as a liason between the crew and the Captain."
"A Captain is traditionally a distant figure and my vulcan background exacerbates this effect, and though I have attempted to offset these difficulties since taking command there are no doubt many who still find me difficult to relate to. Your Counseling background; however, necessitates that you be approachable and engender a sense of trust with your patients and it is this ability that I believe will serve you best should you accept the appointment as First Officer."
Savot had his hands atop his desk, fingers interlaced as he spoke, "This is entirely your choice and you may rest assured I shall take no offense should you decline, and I will be pleased to have you continue as our Counselor. You may take some time to consider the offer, of course, and if you have any questions as to the command style used aboard this vessel that you would like answered to aid in your consideration process I shall endeavour to answer them adequately."
(In between chunks of speach Stacey can feel free to inject any fitting remarks, and I imagine one more Savot post will follow to answer your questions, if any are posed, and to 'dismiss' the meeting so to speak)

She sat at her desk in her office pouring through the Padds that had piled up since she was on Earth. Making it about a third of the way the work the comm. Channel came to life with Savot’s voice.
=^=Savot to Counselor Jackson. When your schedule permits I would like to speak with you in the Ready Room. I will be working there regardless so there is no need for haste if you are currently otherwise occupied.=^=
her head bolted up from the paperwork and she tapped her comm. Badge =/\= On my way now sir.=/\=
she was thankful for the distraction and eagerly raced out of her office where she would no longer have to look at her paperwork
the trip to the bridge was uneventful, suddenly she started to think over the reasons Savot would need to speak with her, she couldn’t remember doing anything that would get her in trouble, she finally settled on Savot just wanted to inquire about her readiness to leave Earth.
She entered the ready room and stepped inside. After a short welcome and being offered a seat Stacey sat down. And waited for Savot to speak.
"Commander Jackson, after allocating considerable length and intensity of consideration to the matter I would ask you to consider becoming the El Salvador's First Officer."
Staceys eyes widened and the room started spinning for her, she had never given thought about a command position before she had been a counsellor for thirty two years and just assumed she would be a counsellor for how ever many years remained in her career. Stacey looked up realising she had yet to say anything.
She listned silent as Savot listed the reasons why he chose her, she was still having trouble believing it was real she looked around the room expecting to see a group of people jump out and scream ‘got you’. But nothing happened.
"This is entirely your choice and you may rest assured I shall take no offense should you decline, and I will be pleased to have you continue as our Counselor. You may take some time to consider the offer, of course, and if you have any questions as to the command style used aboard this vessel that you would like answered to aid in your consideration process I shall endeavour to answer them adequately."
Stacey stood up and her haze dropped she looked at Savot for a moment before saying. “It would be my privilege and honour to accept Captain.. I will redouble my efforts to learn the technical aspects of this ship… Thank you sir.”
Stacey couldn’t think of anything else to say or ask she was still recovering from the shock, she was excited and happy of course but also sad that her days as a counsellor were soon to be over… and she would have to wear red something she swore made her look even older.
“Permission to be dismissed Captain?”

Finishing his system checks he notice the crew was starting to return, he noticed Commander Hope had beamed back aboard on time. He had to give her credit in all the time he had known her she was never late. Come to think of it if she wasn't early then she counted her self late.
He noticed Commander Jackson enter the captains ready room and was in there for quite a while. Which was a little strange but didn't think anything of it he was keeping busy heading up 2 department on ship. He was sure when a replace would be found for tatical but want to make sure who ever took over didn't come into a mess. Roberts had a system for keeping things in order and he wouldn't disappoint his old friend by letting it go into chaos.
Still he was ready for another mission he was getting restless sitting around space dock. While it was good for the ship to get repairs and upgrades it drove him a little crazy. He wanted to be back out there looking into the unkown and see what was looking back. He was never good and sitting back and waiting, it was one of his weakness he needed to improve on. He thought that maybe Commander Hope might beable to help him with that when time presented it self. His ability to wait needed improving and her abilitys might come in handy by helping stay focused and not let his mind wonder into what if's.
