Savot conversed with Kahlan who seemed enthusiastic about discussing her book, and the captain found her to be a most driven child where study was concern. He was uncertain precisely how that attitude measured up to the 'average' Romulan child her age but it would be commended in a Vulcan her age. Shortly after beginning their talk, Kahlan's parents arrived to retrieve their quintet.
"I take it you had no trouble with them captain?" S'reena asked politely, as Kyala was handed to her.
Savot had risen, pausing the briefest of moments that it took for the pair of older girls to hop up and move with happy alacrity towards their parents. He clasped his hands behind him after returning Kyala and dipped his head towards S'reena, "None whatsoever Commander, Doctor Hope", Savot paused to nod in acknowledgement of the Hope patriarch before continuing, "All the children were very well behaved and Ladies Kahlan and Yarna acquitted themselves most admirably as the eldest, ensuring their siblings were provided appropriate sustenance and dessert. In every aspect it was a most satisfying experience and I hope the children enjoyed themselves."
He then politely inquired, "Were the two of you able to enjoy the gathering on Holodeck 1?"
Michael smirked, indicating the mess that used to be his uniform. "I can quite say that we did sir," he replied as Jeisen woke in his arms, finding interest in the remainders of cake on his shirt. "We had quite a food fight, initiated by our lovely first officer.
Savot arched a brow, particularly at the revealed identity of the food fight's instigator. Well, it seemed the Hopes hadn't had a terrible time at least so Savot felt quite reassured that letting Jackson oversee the adults' party had been the right thing to do.
S'reena smiled. "Thank you for taking care of them captain, I know that at least Yarna had a good time." Her smile widened. "You seem to be her role model, and I can't say I blame her."
If Savot had been prone to blushing he may well have done so at the unexpected compliment. The captain's entire brow rose in honest surprise at this, and he tilted his head slightly as though processing the information before his countenance returned mostly to normal. How bowed his head gratefully, "The honor is to serve, Miss Hope. You are most welcome and thank you for allowing me the opportunity." He nodded farewells to those of the children that were awake and let the family depart.
*****************************************
After bidding the Hopes goodnight Savot returned to his quarters. He checked in with the bridge to confirm all was well there then read the latest log entries from engineering to check on the power issue Mr. Fire had informed him about. In theory Savot could have contacted Fire to ask for an update, but that would only have taken time away from the repair efforts and done more harm than good. Fire was a trained officer and would certainly inform Savot if there was any need to, so the vulcan limited himself to reading the repair effort stages as they were logged.
The bridge informed him there was a message waiting for him from Starfleet Command and the vulcan pulled it up, frowning slightly at the contents seeing he'd been promoted to Commodore. Savot was truly honored at the faith and confidence his promotions seemed to suggest Starfleet had in his abilities; he merely worried, most illogically he had to admit, that the more responsibility he was given the more opportunity he would have to let someone down. The human phrase went something like: 'the higher the climb, the farther the fall'.
Thankfully, logic won out in the end as he convinced himself that worrying in that manner would only serve to distract him and increase the likelihood that he'd do the very thing he was worried about so the best course for him to take was simply do his duty to the best of his ability. He replicated a 5th gold pip and set in on his desk with the others to affix to his collar when he went on duty the next morning; then he replicated a small amount of Alfred's flaked goldfish food to sprinkle into the 'bowl' for his companion's consumption.
Following a sonic shower the Savot garbed himself in Starfleet issue black shorts and a charcoal-gray tanktop to sleep in and after an hour's meditation he bid Alfred goodnight, vocally doused the lights in his quarters, and drifted off to sleep.
(The summons to the briefing room will occur in my next post, with the actual briefing taking place in the post after that. Won't be more than a day or 2 so post however you like in the interim, then we'll get ourselves back on the clock. The last thread will remain open until I get the sense that everyone has closure from that and is done posting there, then it'll get locked as per usual.)

She stirred in bed as she rolled over to her left, her eyes slowly opened and she yawned heavily as she lay there, after five minutes of staring of into the darkness she finally found the willpower to lift herself up off of the bed.
Sitting up on the side of the bed Stacey rubbed her face as she sighed. “Computer.. lights.”
The lights blared to life and as per usual Stacey squinted in slight pain as her eyes several seconds later her eyes adjusted and she stood up. She stretched before walking somewhat slowly towards the replicator, the effects of sleep still not fully shaken.
“Coffee.. extra large mug.” The replicator started to power up as normal, but after a few seconds instead of the expected coffee sitting on the shelf there was a bowl of Ice cream. Staring at it somewhat perplexed Stacey sighed and said.
“Computer.. why is the replicator not working?”
the response took a few moments but eventually came. “Replicators on this deck and section are being disrupted by ongoing engineering repairs.”
Her eyes rolled slightly before a heavy sigh, turning back around she walked into the bathroom and took off her sleeping clothes and stepped into the sonic shower, as per usual the lights in the shower came to life, but after that nothing.
Growling slightly now Stacey demanded of the computer. “computer sonic showers why are they not operating?”
“Sonic showers on this deck and section are being disrupted by ongoing engineering repairs.”
Her head fell into her hands as she regained her composure, stepping out of the malfunctioning sonic shower Stacey pulled on a bath robe and walked back out into her bedroom. After picking up a clean uniform and shoes she carried them out into the main corridor, she looked down the empty corridor thankful no one could see her in a robe and with hair all mangled from a nights sleep.
Walking the small distance to a turbolift she waited until the doors opened again hoping her luck would last and it would be empty.
However when the turbolift arrived it appeared her luck ran out because as the door opened inside stood one of the ensigns she had noticed often on the bridge, she looked down at the floor as she stepped in and said.
‘V.I.P quarters.”
She looked to her left and noticed the ensign eyeing her sceptically, she looked up and sighed as she said. “I am testing uh my idea for new duty uniforms.. pretty good huh?”
He shrugged slightly as she said. ‘well I guess you have to have the figure for it Ma’am.”
She squinted at him as she mumbled. “Damn comedians.” The turbolift stopped and she stepped out as he sniggered away.
Thirty minutes later Stacey exited the V.I.P quarters, showered, hair brushed and filled with coffee. Looking down the now filling up corridor she made her way back to the turbolift. After a further five minutes she stepped into engineering, looking around for a moment she spotted her target. James Fire stood in front of a diagnostic panel in what seemed to be in deep thought.
She walked up next to him and asked. “lieutenant.. the power to my quarters is being disrupted by what I am told is ongoing repairs.. secondly did you find out the problem with the holodecks?.. oh hold on a moment”
Tapping her comm. Badge before it slipped her mind. “Jackson to all ships Counselling Staff.. please compare your schedules for the day and find a time you are all free.. I would like to see you all before the days end.”
looking back at Fire she said. ‘Sorry.. had to do that before I forgot.. go on with your report.”

The shuttle craft Haggis continued on its course to rendezvous with the USS El Salvador, where Mc7_of_9 was to serve as a mission specialist for what he was sure would prove to be an interesting mission.
Computer, how long until we arrive at the El Salvador?
The shuttle is due to arrive at the El Salvador at 0830 hours, came the computers response.
Good, thought Mc7 to himself. That would give him a few hours to finish off reading through the background documents and have a nap. It would be his first time aboard the El Salvador, and the first time he had worked with the ships CO, Commodore Savot. This mission would have many firsts. Due to his previous existence of being a drone of the Borg collective, he did not serve as part of the Fleet during the Dominion War, so he would have no first hand knowledge to rely on.
Standing and stretching, he walked over to the replicator and ordered his customary cappuccino. Once the steaming hot drink materialised, he removed it from the slot and returned to the pilots chair. Getting comfortable, he picked up the briefing PADD and began to read.
His reading was interrupted by a chirp on his console. Looking up from the PADD, he was surprised to see that the shuttle would be docking with the El Salvador in a mere ten minutes. Better get myself ready then, he thought to himself as he stood and put his now empty cup back into the replicator, to be recycled back into the ships energy system. While standing he smoothed down his uniform, getting rid of some the creases which had developed during his trip from Assailant to meet the El Salvador.
Tapping the comm panel, the Admiral opened a channel to the ship,
Shuttle craft Haggis to the USS El Salvador. This is Vice Admiral Mc7_of_9, requesting permissions to dock.
A female voice came across the channel in response,
Shuttle craft Haggis, you are cleared to dock in shuttle bay 2, follow standard docking procedures until you reach the bay barrier, at which point the on board tractor emitters will take over the docking procedure.
Mc7 chuckled quietly to himself. The female on the other end of the was obviously fairly recently out the academy, and following strict protocols in telling a wizened old Admiral how to dock a shuttle.

Savot sat at his desk in the Ready Room, the El Salvador having returned to her usual patrol route following their last mission. Their impromptu social event that the vulcan had still yet to investigate the full details of was over and now they were 'on the clock' again so to speak. Savot himself enjoyed work but he couldn't deny that his afternoon with the ship's children had been a pleasant one.
His console chirped with the notice of an incoming mission outline from Command and he brought it up on the display screen. His eyebrow arched in fascinated intrigue as he read the details, in particular those concerning the presence of Vice Admiral Mc7_of_9 aboard the El Salvador serving as mission specialist. Savot had never served with this particular officer, nor had he ever had a superior officer aboard the El Salvador since he'd been assigned as the vessel's CO. The latter he could not begin to address until the situation was upon them but the former he could at least embrace via a review of the Admiral's dossier prior to his arrival.
He checked the ETA for the Admiral's shuttle, just over 6 hours from now, then tapped his commbadge, =^=Savot to Jackson. I've just received an outline of our next assignment which will include the presence of Vice Admiral Mc7_of_9 as a mission specialist. His arrival is scheduled for 6 hours hence, inform the senior staff to be available for briefing in 6.5 hours and make the appropriate VIP security arrangements through Mr. K'ratak. While Starfleet security is entirely qualified, Marines are more specifically trained for personnel protection.=^=
<Tag Jackson, then any Savot response>
As Jackson signed off Savot returned to his reading of the Admiral's bio to familiarize himself with the officer's record. The vulcan then pulled up the reference files regarding the intended mission in order to prepare himself for briefing the senior officers. He would ask the Admiral beforehand if he'd rather give the briefing personally or was content to have Savot do so.
******************************************** [Arrival]
Savot stood at parade rest within the shuttlebay as the Haggis finished her landing, Colonel K'ratak at his side with the personnel he'd selected to provide the Admiral's security during his time aboard the ship. The vulcan hadn't known whether it was Admiral Mc7's preference to be received by command officers in dress uniform or if he was content with a respectful yet functional reception so Savot had taken the middle ground: he was in his dress uniform but everyone else wore their standards.
As the hatch opened Savot came to attention and when the Admiral exitted the craft and approached Savot gave a crisp salute that flowed seamlessly into the traditional vulcan salute, "Welcome aboard the El Salvador, Admiral. Your service honors us."
<Any Mc7 response>
Savot introduced himself then indicated the Klingon Marine next to him, "I am Commodore Savot and this is Colonel K'ratak our senior Marine Officer whose staff will be providing your security during your time aboard, and my First Officer Commander Jackson is currently on the bridge. We've scheduled the mission briefing in a half hour's time; may I show you to your quarters or would you prefer to proceed directly to the briefing room?"

Lieutenant James Fire heard his comm badge chirp and he would press it, "Lieutenant Fire here."
"This is Ensign O'Hare, we are having some slight difficulties, one of the crewmen caused a massive backlash in the conduit and power throughout this deck is down."
James sighed, "Understood Ensign take him to sick bay if he is injured I will take care of the power outage from here." He tapped his commbadge, "Senior engineering staff our meeting is postponed until tomorrow at 0900." He replied into his commbadge and stood up. He walked out into main engineering towards the panel and brought up the power grid to the deck that lost its power. From there he began realigning the conduits passing over the burnt out power conduit in holodeck one. When he heard a voice from behind him..
"Lieutenant.. the power to my quarters is being disrupted by what I am told is ongoing repairs.. secondly did you find out the problem with the holodecks.. oh hold on a moment"
James turned to see the first officer standing behind him.
"Sorry.. had to do that before I forgot.. go on with your report."
James laughed only slightly, "It's not a problem Commander." He turned and looked at his report again on the PADD, "There was a cascade in the power conduits throughout that deck. Crewman Ortani was working on replacing the burnt out EPS unit in holodeck one when the nearby power conduit exploded in a shower of sparks and from there the power failed. I just bypassed the power around the holodeck so the entire deck save the holodeck should have power again." He replied, "The holodeck will be off limits until I can locate the main cause for the failure. It may have been human error however."
<tag Jackson>
He smiled looking from the PADD, "They are escorting the crewman to sick bay he just suffered some minor burns and a slight amount of shock. Going to give him a few days off to heal." James finished.

Listning to James as he spoke, she nodded as she took in the report and puled a face of concern when he mentioned the crew man near the small explosion, however her momentary concern was alieved when Fire mentioned he had been taken to sickbay.
“Very well James.. When the repairs are completed I will want..”
her sentence interrupted by a comm. Channel by Savot.
=^=Savot to Jackson. K'ratak. Stacey rubbed her forehead and sighed slightly, before tapping her comm. Bagde. “Aye sir.. I will contact K’ratak within the hour.. Jackson out.”
She looked back to James and pulled a face of confusion.. before saying. “Oh yeah repairs.. uhm I would like a report on my desk when they are done.”
Now instead of walking out and reporting to the bridge as she had planned she walked directly to where the computer said K’ratak was. Walking up behind him she said.
“Colonel.. I would le you to arrange for security for a VIP make sure it is to regulations for someone of the rank of Admiral.. I want it done within five hours.”
<Tag K’ratak, you can decide where she found you>
remembering the other part of Savot’s request, she tapped her comm. Badge and said. “Jackson to all senior officers.. a briefing has been scheduled to start in six and a half hours.. anybody who is late will be scrubbing plasma manifolds.. Jackson out.”
The last thing they needed was an Admiral thinking they couldn’t even gather the staff on time.

He heard Commander Jackson walk up behind him as he exited his office. He was a little shocked when he heard they had VP a flag officer. He didn't remember seeing anything in his daily communications. Normaly somebody would have sent a mesage to inform him but none were sent.
" Understood Commander Jackson I will have a Marine protection team ready and standing by. I do have a question what do we do when the admiral say's he doesn't want one. Its been my theroy and proven most admirals prefer not to have security." <Tag Jackson>
He stood at attention as the admiral exited his shuttle the security team was standing by a few feet behing hind. He wasn't sure what the mission was or why they need a admiral but something told him this was not going to be easy. He listened as Savot made introductions and kept quite until he asked a question. As everybody got ready to leave the security team quitely took positions behind the admiral following him.

K’ratak of course asked the logical question about what to do when the Admiral insisted he needed no such security measures, Stacey slightly shrugged her shoulders.
“Just remember he is a guest not a prisoner.. so no need to have him followed twenty four seven.. just make sure nothing happens to him.. check his quarters you know the deal.”
Turning on her heel she walked out, and made her way to the bridge. As she arrived she watched the procedure of shift change over.. this practice always intrigued her.. being the counsellor she never had a duty station so to speak and as such never had to hand over a station but now as First Officer when the Captain wasn’t present when she arrived on the bridge she was automatically given a report.
The Lieutenant in charge of the bridge during the last shift stood up and walked over to her, he nodded slightly as he said. “Good morning Ma’am.. we had a minor engineering accident about an hour ago.. Engineering reports they are working on it.. Sickbay is complaining they are short handed again.. the problem in engineering has caused setbacks to some study going on in the Astrophysics department needless to say they are the warpath.. well have a good shift Ma’am.”
She sighed as she looked down at the Padd. Looking back up with a weary face of resignation. “You know just one morning I would like to hear.. Ma’am everything is perfect.”
He smirked as he straightened his uniform. “we can all dream Ma’am.”
She smiled and patted him on the shoulder. “Okay lieutenant.. good work dismissed.”
The new duty shift settled in and Stacey read over the reports from the departments.
**two and a half hours later**
“Commander we have a shuttle on sensors the uhm Haggis.. they are transmitting a request to come aboard.”
Nodding knowing Savot was already awaiting the arrival of the Admiral Stacey said. “give them the permission engage shuttle landing procedures.”
She turned with a sceptical look on her face as she said to no one in particular. “The Haggis.. sure are scrapping the bottom of the barrel for shuttlecraft names aren’t they.”
Several minutes later the shuttle had landed and no doubt Savot was greeting this Admiral with his usual Vulcan Calmness, she was thankful Savot had skipped an entire formal greeting which would have required her presence.. and the dreaded dress uniform.. for which Stacey constantly tried to find an excuse never to wear as she was entirely under the belief it made her look frumpy.

She looked back to James and pulled a face of confusion.. before saying. “Oh yeah repairs.. uhm I would like a report on my desk when they are done.”
James nodded, "I will make sure a report gets there ma'am." He replied and watched as she walked away and would press his comm badge, "Lieutenant Fire to Ensign O'Hare, I am on my way to aide with repairs."
"Understood, sir O'Hare out."
James lifted the PADD off the panel and made his way towards the holodeck with his repair kit in hand when his comm badge chirped again.
“Jackson to all senior officers.. a briefing has been scheduled to start in six and a half hours.. anybody who is late will be scrubbing plasma manifolds.. Jackson out.”
James sighed as he stepped into the turbolift. "Oh boy." He said under his breath and sighed heavily as he rode down and exitted on the proper deck. Ah, I see the deck plating and bulkhead looks a little charred." He said heavily. And, looked towards the EPS pack that sat in the corner. "I'll handle it Ensign return to engineering to make up a report to send to Commander Jackson." He said and just as the ensign was about to leave he said something else, "Oh and as for the reasoning it was due to a malfuctioning power coupling and has been replaced."
He watched as the ensign nodded and left to write up the report that was requested. Then he would attach the EPS gel pack into it's place and fuse it into place. From there he lifted the power coupling and replaced the one that had fried. He turned and looked towards one of the Petty Officers that had been assisting him, "Alright time to test it out, Petty Officer Lucas lets enter the holodeck and run the most complex program that an engineering person can think up." He then turned to the crewman that was standing there, "Crewman stand here and watch make sure nobody tries to walk past this point and make sure the EPS pack and the power coupling doesn't short out."
The crewman nodded, "Understood sir."
James smiled, "Alright Mister Lucas let us enter the exciting world of holodeck one. And, hopefully it works." Before he entered however he would turn to face the crewman, "Make sure you stand back I think one medical emergency is enough for right now."
=^=Holodeck One=^=
The crewman nodded again, "Sir may I go see how he is doing once we finish the testing phase?"
"You may." He replied as the door behind him closed he looked around seeing the black walls surrounded by the yellow lines that formed a grid of sorts throughout the entire holodeck. "Alright Petty Officer Lucas let us begin the testing."
"Yes sir." Petty Officer Lucas replied, "Computer standard United States Naval uniform from the twenty first century Commander rank." He watched as the Starfleet uniform was replaced with blue coveralls that had U.S. Navy on the left and his last name on the right. Both in golden letters and a khaki belt with a golden belt buckle. Two silver oak leaves were resting on his collar and he would smile. "Good so far."
James smiled and nodded, "Computer standard United States Naval uniform from the twenty first century Captain rank." His uniform changed as well, however instead of silver oak leaves he had silver spread perched eagles on his collar. "Computer run program Fire and Lucas thirteen." He replied they had put this program together earlier in the month, and it would be a great test. Instantly the ground changed to a gray non skid surface surrounding the ship was a large ocean. He looked around and smiled, "No glitches so far Commander." He said quietly.
They were the Commanding Officer and Executive Officer on board the USS Bataan, an amphibious assault ship from the early twenty first century. He looked around as people passed them saying 'good morning captain.' Or, 'good morning sir.' James smiled when suddenly the speaker behind them blasted, or a 1MC as they were referred to back in those days. "Toxic gas, toxic gas, toxic gas, there is a report of toxic gas in compartment 2 tack one hundred thirteen tack four tack lima, engineering female berthing. At sea fire party provide from two main."
Lucas looked over his shoulder, "I guess we better get to the bridge huh?" He whispered softly as the message was repeated once again.
James nodded, "Yeah, I bet we might want to do that." He replied as personnel rushed to their stations and would begin to ascend a ladderwell. They were only a deck below the bridge. And, once there another officer had appeared and the words 'Captain on the bridge.' Were echoed James smiled, "At ease." He said as several people popped to attention. He walked towards the window and looked out then would whisper to Petty Officer Lucas, "I think the program is running smoothly."
Petty Officer Lucas nodded, "We really should come back to this during our time off sir."
James nodded, "I have a meeting soon I'm sure." He whispered softly then would talk out loud, "Computer end program." The scene changed around them as the normal holodeck returned to view and their uniforms changed as well. "Well Petty Officer Lucas you may have the rest of the day off, I'm going to put the bulkhead back into place. And, send the crewman to sick bay to visit his friend."
=^=Outside Holodeck One=^=
"Yes sir." Petty Officer Lucas would reply as both walked out of the holodeck.
James looked towards the crewman, "Go check up on Crewman Ortani, and you have the rest of the day off." He said watching as the crewman nodded and walked away. James lifted the panel and placed it back where it belonged, Nothing out of the ordinary, I think it's usable again. He thought to himself and pressed his comm badge, "Lieutenant Fire to Ensign O'Hare, the holodeck is running smoothly again I'm on my way to pick up the report. Please place it on my desk.
"Understood sir."
James smiled the meeting was only a few hours away, but he would go to main engineering first so he could get the report to give to Commander Jackson before the meeting commenced.

[Briefing Room]
When all the officers had assembled and taken their seats, Savot began the briefing, "Obviously, we will be having a personnel addition on this assignment: a mission specialist in the form of Vice Admiral Mc7_of_9." He gestured towards the Admiral respectfully before continuing, "I will outline the general mission then the Admiral will expound on any details he feels necessary."
The vulcan called up a planetary model on the main screen as well as the individual screens embedded within the table surface in front of each officer, "This is Vagra II, a planet under quarantine in the Zed Lapis sector almost completely barren and with an atmosphere just meeting the bare minimums for human needs. The quarantine was issued in 2364 by the Enterprise-D after their Chief of Security was killed by an entity residing on the surface."
Savot segwayed immediately into bringing up a visual of the entity in question which resembled a vaguely humanoid oil slick, "The entity identified itself as Armus and attempted to hold survivors of a crashed shuttle hostage to compel the Enterprise's Captain to agree to take it off the planet. According to reports filed by Counselor Troi who was in extended contact with Armus, it was a remnant of a race of titans who sought to remove all evil from themselves and leave Vagra II to seek a new euphoria to dwell in. This 'evil' allegedly coalesced into the being Armus who was left for generations in no company other than loneliness and his anger at being rejected by his people."
"Captain Jean-Luc Picard refused to respond to Armus' demands and was able to retrieve the shuttle survivors at which point the Enterprise D torpedoed the shuttle remains to ensure Armus could never leave Vagra II of his own accord and instituted a quarantine of the planet to avoid any other ships being similarly ensnared", Savot's hands manuevered over the LCARs controls to move the Vagra II data to the side and call up another file.
The humanoid visage of a Changeling, well-known from their involvement in the Dominion War, then graced the screens as Savot continued, "Since the end of the Dominion War the race known as the Founders has sought numerous methods to atone for their part in exacerbating the war and the deaths it brought. After studying data on the Armus creature they believe its amorphous nature could potentially allow it to be integrated into their 'Great Link'."
"Armus is supposedly the collected evil of an entire race suffused into a single being which appears to be the source of its very potent abilities. Were it to concede to joining the Great Link that evil would be dilluted exponentially rendering that power all but inert, and the Armus creature would again be part of a community and allow it to eventually recover from its long-term isolation", the final image was that of the Changeling homeworld, the surface of which looked like an endless ocean of shifting semi-fluid matter that represented the combined essence of all Changelings merged together.
Savot then intertwined his fingers before resting them on the conference table in front of him and summarized, "In essence, our mission is to rendevous with a group of 5 Changelings waiting for us on the border of the Zed Lapis sector, transport them to Vagra II, extend their offer to the Armus entity and if accepted transport it safely to the Changeling homeworld in the Gamma Quadrant via the Bajoran Wormhole at Deep Space 9."
The vulcan captain then paused to see whether the Admiral would chime in at that point or wait for the crew's questions/input first to see if he could address their concerns with his data.

"Wasn't that where Lieutenant Natasha Yar was killed?" S'reena asked abruptly, having listened with interest to the briefing. "I remember reading a report about that, when I was still assigned to the USS Hanson. It was a few years ago, if I recall correctly." She paused, as she was painfully reminded - through her own doing - of the time where she could still see.
Her expression clouded briefly, before she resettled her attention on her commanding officer, and their mission specialist. "I do believe though, that if we are to take this Armus to the Great Link, then we are putting this ship and her crew in grave danger. As well as the Founders, as they'll be confronted with pure evil, something I think they're not used to."
She paused, taking a few seconds to organise her thoughts. "Is there no way we can transport Armus, like Ambassador Kollos was transported in Kirk's time? I'm sure that with proper research, between myself and the chief engineer, we could build a sort of sarcophagus to keep him, and of course sustain him. A single person could be assigned to well, converse with him, without touching him of course. Perhaps someone who isn't so..susceptible to evil itself, or even to erh.." she hesitated, groping for the terminology. "Being touched by something substatial," she finished.

S’reena spoke up with valid concerns, but for the whole meeting Stacey felt on edge, she didn’t like the Dominion and the founders held a special place in her most deep and dark thoughts.
She squirmed uncomfortably in her chair, not sure whether to burst out laughing or to scream at the stupidity of it.
Leaning forward she took a harsh tone perhaps harsher than anyone on this vessel had heard from her normally light natured personality.
“Captain.. Admiral.. I must concur with Commander Hope .. I don’t like the idea of exposing anybody to this.. creature of evil.. secondly I have concerns about this whole plan, for one thing and excuse me if this sounds dull.. but is it wise to introduce pure evil into a race of beings that share a single state being. I mean it is like putting a live plasma torch next to the warp core, seems like you are just asking the founders to be corrupted by this evil.. that is of course if Armus doesn’t decide to kill us for the amusement.. I am sorry but I have a problem with this whole thing.. I was just out of the academy when Armus was discovered I remember reading the reports.. I was also a serving member of Starfleet during the Dominion war.. and I think putting these things together is unadvisable.”
She sat back in her chair and took a deep breath, as she fiddled with her hands, defiantly on edge at the mention of the founders.. thoughts of her lost fiancé dancing in her mind.. the smouldering buildings of Starfleet academy.. the long list of names displayed on consoles for people to see if they had lost a loved one or friend.
Her heart had sped up as she pictured these things in her mind, the screams of dying she had seen first hand all those years ago still burned in her memory, the sensor recordings of Dominion ships tearing up Starfleet vessels leaving none alive, like all those that served in the war she held the memories and the pain inside.. Unable to fully let go.. not because she didn’t want to but because the ferocity of that war had been like nothing else.. no one at the time could say they didn’t lose anybody.. everybody lost a family member, friend, shipmate.
Her black eyes glistened with the moisture of forming tears as she tried to fight the images form her mind.. but what was worse than the images something she could never explain to a mere human was, that when she was near someone that had died like she was often in the war.. her like other Betazoids could hear them scream in her mind.. their thoughts bursting into her mind leaving a scar or wound that never healed nor was forgotten.

Savot nodded silently at Hope's comments, pleased that she had arrived at the same preventative ideas he had. He was also familiar with the transport of Ambassador Kollos since it significantly involved one of his personal heroes then-Commander Spock. Before he could respond; however, Commander Jackson vehemently added her own misgivings regarding the mission and while they were all well founded Savot arched an eyebrow at the tone he'd yet to hear thus far in Stacey's voice. However, he'd read her file and knew of course that she'd been profoundly impacted by the Dominion War and as such her feelings on the matter were quite understandable.
Savot spoke with an understanding tone that sounded remarkably the same as his everyday tone, "Your concerns are well founded Commander Jackson and I share them. My hope is that a containment device such as Ms. Hope suggested can be constructed in which to transport the entity but in either case the uppermost portion of the hull will separate from the remaining 2/3 of the ship and that portion will house Armus and a skeleton crew for the duration of the journey assuming Armus even elects to cooperate with us at all. That way if anything does go awry en route the rest of the ship will be outside the range of effect and able to contain the primary module or destroy it if necessary."
"I will be aboard the primary hull while Commander Jackson retains command of the remaining 2/3 of the El Salvador. Colonel K'ratak and some of his Marines will accompany me to provide security though firearms proved little use against the creature in the past. However, the Enterprise's records included studies of the energy given off by the creature as that was what blocked their transporters from recovering their shuttle crew; I want Commander Hope and Mr. Fire to review the data both for use in constructing a potential containment device and to determine if any modifications can be made to hand phasers to increase their effectiveness."
Savot then returned his attention specifically to Jackson as he address more of her personal concerns, "As to the risk of exposing the Founders to this power and malevolence that was naturally a major concern of Starfleet Command's as well and only after detailed simulations was this plan approved. Naturally the simulations are not guarantees but it follows logically that the Changelings could not make use of Armus' power unless it became fully integrated with them, but in so doing that very power would be diluted beyond their ability to focus. To expound on your metaphor: in order for them to bring the plasma torch close to the warp core they'd have to remove its power supply and as such it would be unable to ignite."
"If Armus joins with the Link he will cease to be simply Armus and as such his power will vanish; he would only be able to utilize it again were he to leave the Link and become singular again which after eons of isolation he is unlikely to do. Likewise he is unlikely to kill us simply for the amusement of doing so. He could have killed Captain Picard and the shuttle survivors just to spite them but that wouldn't have ended its loneliness."
The Captain then turned back to Hope to respond to her initial inquiry, "The security chief that was killed was indeed Lieutenant Natasha Yar, a regrettable loss. Her record is replete with commendations for bravery and courage under fire."

Lieutenant James Fire listened quietly, he had several ideas of how they could construct such a device, but he wasn't certain how effective each was.
"I will be aboard the primary hull while Commander Jackson retains command of the remaining 2/3 of the El Salvador. Colonel K'ratak and some of his Marines will accompany me to provide security though firearms proved little use against the creature in the past. Likewise he is unlikely to kill us simply for the amusement of doing so. He could have killed Captain Picard and the shuttle survivors just to spite them but that wouldn't have ended its loneliness."
James waited for his commanding officer to finish speaking, "Sir a phaser will not have much effect this is true, however a phaser rifle with the correct enhancements may be able to injure him possibly kill him if necessary. But, I do not see a reason to do so I have read the reports as well and I agree, and I highly doubt he will try to escape, but I will get a team together and have something constructed."
James took a moment before he made his next request, "Commodore although I know that it will be extremely dangerous I request to be on the same portion as Armus. So that I may watch the sarcophagus that myself and Commander Hope put together. And, make sure that no fluxuations or any ill fated mishaps with said device occur?"

What Savot had said made some sense and while she was not at all convinced she stayed silent on the matter for now, any other concerns of hers would wait until the senior staff had dispersed.
"Commodore although I know that it will be extremely dangerous I request to be on the same portion as Armus. So that I may watch the sarcophagus that myself and Commander Hope put together. And, make sure that no fluxuations or any ill fated mishaps with said device occur?"
Jackson leaned forward again, looking at Fire and then Savot. “I don’t believe that is wise sir .. we will already have you, Colonel K’ratak and Admiral MC_70f_9 over there.. if something is to go wrong over there I am going to need some senior staff over here to deal with it, however I leave it to you. Also I have other security measures I would like you to consider, while the ship is split in two I would like one of our counsellors aboard the primary hull to be on the bridge at all times, to keep an eye on emotions.. we don’t fully know the extent of Armus’s power.. the Enterprise never had a chance to do a scientific study of the creature… also sir.. while over on the primary hull I would feel safer for the crew left with me.. if yours and any other senior officers security codes were blocked from the other two thirds of the ship, until such time as Armus is safely transported down with the founders.”
She had finally successfully been able to regain control of her thoughts, and block the images from jumping to her immediate thoughts, however she still felt on edge

He sat and listened he was a little shocked at what he is hearing, pure evil beamed aboard to join a race that tried to wipe everybody out. He didn't understand why nobody seemed to think this was a bad idea. Maybe it was because he was klingon and had seen first hand what evil could do how it could influnce people. Then to join the link and be spread out it was what Armus want all along to grow of course he would agree to go with them.
He sat and listened to the plan he would be providing security for two flag officer against something that could with stand hand phaser. He had two hope that Mr. Fire could enhance a phaser rifle. Then he and idea he wanted to remind everybody what they were dealing with the evil that would be coming aboard. Reaching down he pulled a klingon distributer from his boot and placed it on the table it was a evil looking weapon with no stun setting and only one purpose. " Sorry Commoder Savot and Admiral I'm still new to the ship but I must remind you all exactly what we are dealing in a more dramatic sense." He placed the weapon the center of table so all could see it or know where it was at. " This weapon was created by my people ages ago its only with in the past few years that our weapons have a stun setting and that was not easy for us. You are dealing with pure evil with no sense of right. You want to let if join a great link which in its own sense just like everybody here has a touch of evil. The difference being that we have been able to keep it in check. The founders haven't been able to purge them selves of this now we are going to enhance it."
" Point being is my race is a warrior race we have committed acts of which I can't speak of because it shames me. We did this on our own accord with our own beliefs now you are going to enhance this by allowing this evil to join a race who still has emotion. What assurance do we have this evil will not effect them. How do we know once Armus joins them that he wont over power them with evil thoughts. Even if most are able to with stand his influnce it would only take one to act on it. Even now in the empire there are those who wouldn't think twice about picking up that weapon and killing each and ever one of you. Are we ready to accept that responsablity take that chance. Will we be able to live with this if it goes bad all it will take is one founder to act because Armus influences. Yes I know there is no way to be sure because it could happen now. But what happens after the joining if something happens then you will never know it it was the founder or Armus influence. Evil is Evil its the balance that keeps the universe in check you can't have one with out the other. Now we are going to tip that balance in a race that we defeated at a high cost. Nobody can be certain what the out come will be. Its like time travel we know how to travel through time we've done it by chance or on purpose but this doesn't mean we should do it. Our history is full of things that were meant to be good but were used for evil. I fight urgers everyday of my life I dont know how well I would fight them if all of a sudden I had something urgering me to act on them. I will obey your orders and carry out my duties but I ask make sure you know what your doing because the price could be high if this doesn't work right. Look at my races history we were called evil by races we defeated to grow our empire and he didn't need any extra influences to do it. We did it with hunger and wanted to do it please keep that in mind imagen if we had the abilities of the founders when we did these thing I might now be sitting her now you might not be sitting her now. I'm sorry if I offend anybody or if I'm out of line, but I have seen evil first hand and its something that I dont wish on anybody or any race" <Tag all>

Savot listened to Jackson and nodded at her points before looking back to address Fire, "I concur Mr. Fire the majority of the ship cannot be hamstrung by the absence of too many senior staff. However, we will need a capable engineer aboard with us for the very reasons you suggest so select someone you feel qualified to handle it. Likewise, should Armus agree to the transport we will block the command codes of those officers travelling on the primary hull."
He then turned slightly towards Admiral Mc7, "Though it is ultimately your prerogative to travel aboard the primary hull with us sir I advise against it as it is clearly the area under the greatest risk for the duration of the mission." Savot wasn't sure where the Admiral would decide to go, it's possible he was Command's liason to the 5 Changelings and as such would need to be in proximity to them for the duration.
Savot then narrowed his eyes as a Klingon disruptor was placed on the table, before listening to K'ratak's monologue. At the end Savot tilted his head slightly and began to speak, "While your lecture was most heartfelt and I'm certain well-intended, this is not an Academy classroom Colonel. Even the youngest among us have dealt with evil in one form or another that is not an experience the Klingon Empire has a monopoly on."
"Likewise, as I've attempted to explain the evil in question will virtually no longer exist if our mission is successful. Consider a billion-pound weight: it would crush any single one of us that attempted to carry it alone. However, give a 1-pound piece to a billion different people and it is a weight barely worth mentioning. Both Armus' 'evil' and his powers exist because he is this concentrated collection of darkness. In order to join the Great Link the individual is equally distributed among each one of the Changelings within it: it ceases to be Armus."
"While it is mathematically possible for Armus to reject this opportunity I find this an extremely unlikely outcome. It has already attempted to derive satisfaction from simply killing and abusing those weaker than it, and he still felt empty. Having truly found acceptance and welcome within the Link it is nigh inconceivable he would choose to leave it."
"Additionally, even if the evil was still somehow potent enough to effect the Founders they would be unable to do anything with it. Armus himself could not transport himself off of the surface of Vagra II and the Founders are likewise unable to leave their homeworld without requesting a ship since one of the provisions of the Dominion War surrender was their being forbidden to construct or possess any vessels of their own."
Savot ended with a polite nod towards the Marine, "Your objections are noted and your concern for the ramifications of our mission are appreciated Colonel. I assure you we will take every possible precaution and should any data we collect on Armus during the transport indicate that his power would grow rather than dilute upon entering the Link we will abandon the attempt."

James nodded, it was perhaps better if he stayed behind anyway so he would sit back and listen to what Colonel K'ravak had to say.
" Sorry Commoder Savot and Admiral I'm still new to the ship but I must remind you all exactly what we are dealing in a more dramatic sense." He placed the weapon the center of table so all could see it or know where it was at. However, before James could respond Commodore Savot brought up the exact point that he wanted to make. Or, at least the more extended version anyway. James would lean forward going back on the previous request by his commanding officer. "Aye sir I will stay behind, I think I know just the officer to go on such a mission. I'll send Lieutenant Beverely Lucas and a small engineering task force of three to assist her?" He would ask solemnly not feeling defeated when his request was rejected.
<tag Savot>
He turned to Commander Hope and sighed, "Commander I'm not entirely familiar with the situation with Ambassador Kollos, but I will do some research I think if we modified forcefields and some shielding around the area it would do a lot of good in keeping the crewmembers out."
<tag Hope>
He then turned to the rest of the senior staff, "As for keeping Armus in I don't see how that could be much of a problem. Though the methods may be a little harsh, I believe in the report from the Enterprise crew and Counselor Troi when the creature was angry it became weaker. This was what allowed the Enterprise to get their survivors out of the shuttlecraft."

Mc7 listened intently during the briefing, and intentionally refrained from speaking. He felt it was important that his presence did not interrupt the dynamics of the crew, so he held his tongue until the ships Command Crew had their say before the Admiral spoke.
"I believe that all of the points raised here are well founded, all based in fact given our only contact with Armus thus far. However, we must also bare in mind our primary mission, to seek out new life, establish peaceful contact and in the long run, establish trading routes and potentially more. Have we been wronged by Armus? Without a doubt. Should we allow this wrong to prevent us from offering our help to Armus to become a much happier being? I think not.
It may also interest you all to know when I was tasked with this assignment I contacted Captain Picard. He was in Command of the Enterprise when first contact was made with Armus, and ultimately when Lt Yar was killed in the line. I explained the El Salvador's mission to him, and suffice to say, he was certainly in favour of it. In fact, he said he could not think of a better way to honour Lt Yar than to undertake this mission, and succeed.
Additionally, concerns were raised within Command over working with the Founders. There are still some in San Francisco who still don't trust the Founders, given the atrocities committed during the war. I'm not sure about all of you, but I can certainly understand this. But again, I come back to our core ideals and values. There's an old human phrase that I find myself coming back to, Forgive and Forget. While it may not always be possible to forget, I believe that each of us has the capacity to forgive. I have personal experience with this. As you will no doubt be aware, my name is not a typical Human name. This is because I was once assimilated into the Borg Collective. When I was liberated I struggled with this very issue myself. How could I forgive having years of my life taken away, and being made to do things that still give me nightmares today? But then I realised, although I will never be able to forget what was done to me, I am able to forgive.
The Federation has a history of compassion, look at what we achieved with the Klingon Empire. We were on a course to war, but after the destruction of Praxis, we turned a would be enemy into what is now our staunchest ally. Who is to say this mission will not be the equivalent to Praxis with the Founders?"
Once he had finished, Mc7 looked around the table trying to gauge the reaction, but was unable to do so from the straight faces which looked back at him.

The conversation was halted with the Admirals speech, which Stacey had thought was condescending to give to a table full of officers but refrained from saying so.. She also thought it was hard to buy the forgive argument from someone who never faced the Dominion, but she was smart enough not to say anything to such effect.. but she did take into account that it probably struck her as such as she was never good at taking lectures from those younger than her.. especially when in her career lectures were her department, after he was done she cleared her throat.
“Well our objective is clear.. James, S’reena get to work on a way to safely bring Armus with us… K’ratak, Security arrangements are to be in place before we reach our destination.. I will confer with Medical and counselling departments and arrange for the move of all non essential personnel from the Primary Hull.. Commodore, Admiral anything else to add before we disperse?”
<Tag>
**After Briefing**
The senior Officers stood up but before K’ratak had a chance to leave Stacey said. “Colonel a moment please.”
When the two were the only ones left in the room Stacey sighed and said.
“Colonel.. I don’t with to turn in to a lecture so I am going to keep it pithy.. On this ship I don’t want anybody carrying ranged weapons that don’t have a stun setting.. it sets a bad example.. Please leave your disruptor in a weapons locker.. and carry a regulation Starfleet phaser like the rest of your Marines.. Oh and get quarters ready for our Founder guests.. and keep restricted areas off limits.. Dismissed.”
Walking out of the observation lounge Stacey entered the bridge, she didn’t want to stay up there long so she walked over to a communications panel and activated a ship wide comm. Channel.
‘All hands this is Commander Jackson.. Please make arrangements for any families to be moved from the primary hull to the secondary ones.. for our next mission the crew will be temporarily split in two.. your department heads will give you your assignments.. Jackson out.”
<Tag anybody who needs Jackson backpost will be done>
She stepped into the turbolift and it suddenly occurred to her that the place she would be spending the majority of their assignment was a room she had never had the need to be before. Thinking she should probably get familiar she said.
“Auxiliary bridge.”
The turbolift did it’s job and seconds later the doors opened into the auxiliary bridge, it was much smaller than the main bridge with only one command chair.. instead of the two on the main bridge. It was currently empty and Stacey walked around the small perimeter.
As a standard procedure when the secondary bridge was not needed all command functions were locked out in preference for the main bridge.. A security precaution to ensure nobody stole the ship from under the noses of the bridge crew.

He just sat there listening to his Commander officer inside he was boiling with anger. They weren't getting the point even with his explenation that the evil would be absorbed by so many the effect would not be as great. They didn't understand that sometimes people are just on that edge and one little push could send them over. Even if the weight of a stone was spread through out by just a pound sometimes that pound could be to much already on a person.
He was going to respond but thought better of it he wouldn't embarce his Commanding officer and kept quite. He would already have his hands full with the security requirements something that would not be easy in its self. When the meeting was over Commander Jackson wanted a word with him he figured it would be about his out burst. He was a little cuaght off gaurd when she brought up the weapon.
He smiled at here and went over and picked it up he turned it over and showed her there was no power cell and where one should have gone was welded shut making impossible to put one in.
"Commander when I was young I obeyed my commanding officers and did things that shame me still all in the name of glory and the empire. When I came to star fleet I realized what I had done was wrong and it was evil. I force races to surrender to us and serve us in the name of the empire I made them our servants and destroyed the way of life. I have since learned better and keep this as a reminder how easy it is do again all the circuts have been removed and its just a show peice." He chuckled a little
" I keep it as a reminder like I said so when those thoughts rise in me I can pull this out remember the price of those thoughts. Not to mention when your in a jam this can be a little intimidating and get your point a cross. This weapon can never be used again I have seen to that. I ask that you inspect it and that you allow me to keep carring it since now you know why"
" Also I dont agree with this mission " he held her up before she could respond " However I'm a star fleet officer and will obey my orderst to the fullest of my abilities this mission will not fail because of my personal feeling on it. With that being said I have ever intention of filing a complaint with the klingon council on this and bring it to federation council. The klingons empire suffered just like everbody else will have great concerns about this and the fact that the founders are involved. I'm sorry now for any problems this may cause but I must do what I think is right with in the scope of my duties" <Tag Jackson>

**Backpost for the sake of the Colonel**
She listened quietly when the sudden feeling of a headache washed over her mind, she sat down in one of the chairs and motioned for K’ratak to do the same. She sighed and muttered. “I am too old for this.”
She tapped her hand impatiently on the desk as she formulated a politically correct response to give to him. Finally deciding on what to say she cleared her throat and said.
“K’ratak, first of all if you want to keep the deactivated weapon on your person that's I fine, but I would appreciate it if you didn’t show it off in front of Flag Officers of the fleet.’
She leaned back in her chair exhaling heavily and looking at the ceiling, and trying to stop the room from spinning as a result of the new found headache. Which oddly enough was one only the Marine commanders of the El-Salvador had the power to install in her.
“Colonel.. as for your complaint to the Klingon High Council.. it would be wrong of anybody to forbid you to do such a thing, however let me remind you that the Klingon High Council doesn’t dictate what the Federation can and can’t do.. Secondly with all due respect to yourself.. by the time the Klingon Council took notice of your compliant not only would the mission be complete but it is highly likely we will be dead from old age.”
She looked down at him and rubbed her face. “And lastly Colonel You’re a Federation Marine.. if you want to run to the Klingon High Council every time Starfleet does something you don’t like you joined the wrong military.. I don’t personally like what Starfleet is doing either but I have no intention of running to the Betazoid government.. which does have a say in Federation policy unlike the Klingon’s… Commodore Savot has taken your objection’s to mind and will place them in the ships log.. there is nothing more to be done.. Now I suggest you get on with making sure this mission runs smoothly… But I will Savot and the Admiral know of your intentions”
Standing up and leaving NO time for a response Stacey left the room.

After the briefing, S'reena waited outside for Fire to come out. Auric cheeped softly in warning when he did, so she could intercept him. "Mr Fire, shall we meet in engineering in say, two hours? I am strongly in need of a little down time, or rather; I am behind in my training and if I don't meet the requirements like everyone else, there might be 'hell to pay' I believe is what the Humans would say..." The Romulan paused. "I won't be late," she promised, "and I'll bring further information we might need." She reached out and patted his shoulder. "Don't be concerned about your engines lieutenant, I won't come near them." <fire> - a few minutes later - Wearing black-leggings, a tight-fitting black sleeveles shirt and being barefeet, S'reena walked into the gym. At her waist she carried her trusted Honour Blade, while above her, Auric circled and chittered loudly. She used a single line on the floor as a guide towards the training mat, though Auric was learning to send her images on where she needed to go. Their bond was settling and the little gold was learning to be a proper guide. Oblivious to anyone that might be looking on, she started a warming up routine as she was used to doing. Any time she came close to stepping off the mat, either she would feel the edge with her foot, or Auric would chirp a warning. Smiling, she sped up her routine, this time taking out her dagger. She danced gracefully around the mat, occasionally pausing to wipe her hair from her face. Perspiration started to show on her brow and her shirt started to cling to her body, but she didn't give up. Her dance increased in motions, making it seem as if she were fighting an invisible opponent. It was almost as if she could still see, to those that looked on. Her moves were precise and well executed, leaving a very small margin for error due to being sightless. (anyone who wants to observe ) -- two hours later -- Still panting from her exercise, her hair still wet from the shower, S'reena walked into engineering, carrying a single PADD. "I have all the information we need on the case that had carried Ambassador Kollos," she informed the chief engineer, "what've you got?" (tag fire)

James nodded as the meeting came to a close and he would slide the engineering report to Commander Jackson from earlier. "Here you are ma'am as requested." He said so that she could read through it. "All tests that were ran came back normal."
<tag Jackson if you want to reply>
After which he would leave the conference table and leave the lounge where he would find Commander Hope awaiting his arrival, or departure whichever was a better word for it.
After the briefing, S'reena waited outside for Fire to come out. Auric cheeped softly in warning when he did, so she could intercept him. "Mr Fire, shall we meet in engineering in say, two hours? I am strongly in need of a little down time, or rather; I am behind in my training and if I don't meet the requirements like everyone else, there might be 'hell to pay' I believe is what the Humans would say..."
The Romulan paused. "I won't be late," she promised, "and I'll bring further information we might need." She reached out and patted his shoulder. "Don't be concerned about your engines lieutenant, I won't come near them."
He would smile though he assumed that she could not see him, however her little creature would see him smile and hopefully allow her to know. "Whenever you arrive ma'am is whenever you arrive. And, don't worry about the engines." He would reply keeping his smile he had loosened up quite a bit since the accident.

James stood at a table with a phaser rifle and a couple members from his senior staff. And, a holographic image of Lieutenant Tasha Yar. "If we raise the setting and modify it to select a random setting every three seconds it may not kill it, but it will do some harm." He was saying as he looked towards the klingon disruptor. When Lieutenant Lucas spoke up..
"And, you're thinking about taking away the stun settings?"
James shook his head, "No that would be against Federation regulations and everything we stand for." When he heard footsteps behind him which he assumed to be Commander Hope.
Still panting from her exercise, her hair still wet from the shower, S'reena walked into engineering, carrying a single PADD. "I have all the information we need on the case that had carried Ambassador Kollos," she informed the chief engineer, "what've you got?"
She was standing directly next to the holographic image. "Commander Hope I would like you to meet Natasha Yar." He said, "This is a holographic image of her during the Armus incident shortly before her death." He then lifted one of the phaser rifles, "I am planning on modifying a rifle so that its settings are altered every point five seconds while its being fired. And, raising its settings by taking away its safeties."
As for the tomb we need to find some way to entertain and distract Armus during transport. I can modify force fields to keep others out, but I think if we can keep him happy where he is we shouldn't have a problem. We also need to find some way to protect the bridge I was thinking that if the force fields around the room fail then we need to set up some sort of perimeter around the main sections of that 1/3 of the ship."

Her trip to the Auxiliary bridge helped her get a feel for the room, Stacey had always believed in getting to know a room before attempting to work in it, that aside she liked knowing where the steps and chairs were. Nothing looked more silly than a command grade officer falling flat on her face because she didn’t know the layout of a room.
She had sat there for a long while reading over the report handed to her by James Fire and the Enterprise logs from the first meeting with Armus.. and any information she could get about the Founders great link. Her eyes feeling rather dry form the constant reading she stood up from the command chair in the empty auxiliary bridge and walked to the turbolift.
The thought crossing her mind that this bridge would make a great room to hide in should she not want to be found for a while.. everybody needed to be left alone at times.
The turbolift took her to her desired location and Stacey stepped out into the corridor, a few minutes later she waled into Engineering and caught the end of James Fires comment to the visibly tired S’reena.
She walked up and said. “Apologies for eavesdropping.. Counsellor’s habit.. but as for forcefields around the bridge it is a good idea.. however I think you should put some thought as to what part of the ship this tomb for Armus will be placed in.. I think having it in the shuttle bay would be worth thought.. If we removed the shuttlecraft first then have the tomb as you say in there with the force fields of course.. if anything should go wrong.. the last resort option to open the shuttle bay doors and blow him into space remains an open one.. after all if our holographic friend here proves anything it is that if he wished it he can kill with a thought.. and my main concern is once on board a federation warship he may decide gaining revenge on a universe that so clearly wronged him is a more attractive option than join a community… anyway put some thought into it and brief us when your ready”
Leaving Engineering she made her way back to the main bridge.
Entering and spotting Savot and admiral MC7_OF_9 she walked over and quietly said. “A moment please sirs.. in private.”

once all three were inside the captains ready room, she said. “Sirs.. Colonel K’ratak has expressed his intention to send a formal complaint about our actions in this mission to the Klingon High Council.. I assume they would either have no problem with this or they have been informed?”
