Motion One: Selection of a new Site Executive Officer.
After 10 years of dedicated service, Fleet Admiral Karynn McCormick has announced her retirement from CSS, vacating the position of Site Executive Officer. CSS will discuss candidates for a new Site Executive Office. The successful candidate will be selected from the existing CSS members, and if necessary will be promoted in rank to Fleet Admiral.
- Nomination: Fleet Admiral Magellan Lin
- Motion to promote Fleet Admiral Magellan Lin to Site Executive Officer - 6 ayes – carried
Section Admiral Drew informed CSS that the selection of a new Site Second Officer to replace Fleet Admiral Lin would take place at the next CSS meeting. He asked CSS for suggestions on how this should be done.
- Motion proposed that the SSO would no longer be a voting position. And that the SSO would be held by a current member of the CSS as a secondary responsibility.
- Motion tabled until this could be discussed with the non-present CSS staff and to propose this for a later vote.
- For now SSO will remain vacant
- Open for nominations from the CSS.
Motion Two: Creation of a new tier of the Section 47 Hall of Fame for Legendary Members who have made an Outstanding Contribution to Section 47.
Rear Admiral Torek has suggested creating a new tier of the Hall of Fame to recognise those members who have made an extra special contribution to the site.
- Motion – 5 aye – carried – to be called Hall of Fame for Legendary Members
Motion Three: Induction of Fleet Admiral Karynn McCormick into the Hall of Fame, if Motion Two successful, the nomination will be for the Admiral to be the first inductee to the Hall of Fame for Legendary Members.
- Motion - 5 aye - carried
Motion Four: Creation of a new medal, to be known as the McCormick Star of Distinction.
This medal will be awarded to members who have performed with distinction in their ship or admin role. It will rank below the James T Kirk Star of Excellence and be awarded by majority vote of the CSS. Like the Roddenberry Star and James T Kirk Star of Excellence this medal must be nominated by either the Section Admiral or the Site Executive Officer or the Site Second Officer.
- Motion - 5 aye – carried
- The new medal would be named in honour of Fleet Admiral McCormick. Designed to recognise wide ranging contributions to Section 47 with a less narrow criteria than the Roddenberry Star and James T Kirk that are very specific and focused on administration support. This medal will be easier for all members to achieve.
Motion Five: Update on Site Advertising.
Admirals Magellan Lin and Steven Smith will update CSS on the current status in regards to site advertising.
- Motion tabled until next meeting – status: progressing well, more info to come next meeting.
Motion Six: Fleet Update.
Discussion on the current status of the simming fleet, based on CO reports received.
Site activity down
- CO reports not being received (in general)
- Use the CO/XO password protected board as a one stop place for reporting.
- Fleet Review needed
- CSS should become more active and post once if not several times a week; This is extended to CO and XO of ships.
