Kaylee asked Ardawen to sit down at the biobed, but he smiled.
"Sorry miss, I'm not injured I'm here to..... "
But Ardawen could not finish what he wanned to say.
"What do you mean you aren't sick or injured? What are you doing here then?" Kae asked shocked by what was said
Ardawen, made an other smile, "I came here to work."
He walked towards his new colleague with his hand out, "I'm lt Ardawen, I'm the new CMO on this ship"
"Sorry, sir, won't happen again," Kaylee said "Is there something I can do to help you?"
Ardawen looked at his assistent, she looked inbarrest, "do not worry miss, I will not report this. Maybe you could help me to a uniform of some kind while I take out some things here."
<tag Kaylee>
When Kaylee got back with his uniform ardawen went to something private, but so that Kaylee could hear him. "Now tell me, how are the medical checkup getting along?"

(( LOTS of backposting ))
Ian had working on something on his PADD, and had to set it down on the floor to answer a communication to him.
Chief Wigram to Chief Navigation Officer, could we meet at sometime to discuss the modifications to the ships engines.
Ian tapped his combadge and said, "Sure, whenever you want." He picked his PADD back up and went back to work on what he was doing, occassionally making sure the ship was still on course.
<<LATER AS THE SHIP ARRIVED AT THE STATION>>
Ian had been sitting at his seat, reading the information sent by the station. He pulled the ship over to the docking and made sure the ship had been secured before even motioning to get out of the seat.
Ian spent most of the time at the station either in the holodecks or working on something on his PADD.
<<LATER ((Again?)) AT THE TIME OF THE DINNER>>
Ian had shown up just a few seconds before 19:00 and looked for a place to sit. The most unusual thing was the Ian's hair wasn't the usual mess it was, it was combed as he did for special occasions such as this.
<<Tag anyone?>>
After the dinner he walked up to the acting CO, but noticed she was busy talking with someone else at the moment, so he waited until she was done talking, then approached and said, "Excuse me captain, but if I remember right, you wanted to ask me something earlier."

“General, might I introduce Captain Cir'Kem, the Starfleet presence here, and also Ambassador Savin of the Arbazan.”
“Good evening Ambassador,” Nika greeted, with a slight incline of her head, a shortened form of a bow that she had taken to doing. She wondered briefly what exactly the bar fight had been that it had connected Wong with an ambassador, or former military commandant, in what seemed to her to be a relationship based apparently on mutual respect.
Nika toyed with the idea of asking a question that had been bothering her a little, but she knew she certainly wouldn't want to ask it of someone like Ambassador Savin, for example. But Nika wasn't quite sure how she would phrase it, and decided she would rather have it in such a way that the Klingon Ambassador, Kurat would laugh at her than that he would be offended, although she did hope neither would be the case. Although him laughing at her wouldn't be the worst thing that could happen, and might even be kind of positive, in a way.
“Do diplomatic 'get-to-know-yous,' like this one, actually help in later talks?” Nika asked.
<Tag Wong-however you want to answer this one.>
Nika had been talking and listening for a while with the Klingon ambassador and Wong and Wong's sister, when Lt. Arika, who had been seated at another part of the table, came over. “Excuse me captain, but if I remember right, you wanted to ask me something earlier.”
“Ah, yes,” Nika replied, and turned to the person she had been talking to. “Would you excuse me for a second?” she asked, and they nodded.
Nika turned to Lt. Arika. When she thought about it now, her request was going to sound really weird and strange, but when she had asked the most recent thing on Nika's mind had been the voice of her sister, who had been disappointed in the way Nika had been assigned as acting captain, because Mirah didn't think Nika was qualified.
Nika decided that she would ask at this point though, since it was a way to relieve some of the tensions with her family. “I was just wondering if you could recommend any good holodeck programs to teach basics of piloting.” Nika thought she could guess that Arika's next question was going to be 'why' so decided to save him the trouble of asking and explain, at least as much as she could.
“It's because the Firont have a tradition that the ship's pilot is a position on the command track, and that in order to be a proper captain one has to have been a pilot and know how to steer a ship. But Starfleet works rather differently.” And Nika still wasn't sure how to explain that difference to her family, and she had some problems justifying it to herself. “If you don't want to though, you don't have to...” Nika shrugged slightly as she trailed off.

Tiffani watched as Matti made his way back inside his quarters, she smiled for a brief moment already feeling somewhat better, but she still missed the family atmopshere she once had, she sighed and turned and headed to the turbolift. as she entered she let her mind drift momentarily
*Sickbay* she said as she leaned against the wall as is shifted into motion. moments later she found the turbolift coming to a halt and the doors swishing open to reveal the corridors leading to sickbay. she figured she had better make an appearance just in case the captain or anyone questioned it. she walked down the corridor and entered in Sickbay. things to be in a somewhat dissarra she frowned slightly at the chaos it was in. she cleared her throught and waited for someone to notice her.
<tag sickbay>
*well i wasn't feeling to well at the diplomatic gathering, i started feeling rather nausage. and hoped you could get me something for it*
<tag Sickbay>
*Yes i do know that their was a sickbay on the station, but i don't trust those doctors, she said with a slight frown, now if you'll just giveme something for the upset stomach, i can get back to the station* she said in a little agitated tone. she found it rather strange they would question a Commander or First officer.

Ardawen saw, Cmdr Rylka come in he turned to LT Commander Daniels who cearly wanned to help her.
"You go and take a brake, I'll take care of this and report in later. dismiss"
<tag Daniels>
Then he turned to Cmdr Rykla, "good day, I'm Lt Ardawen the new CMO here please state the nature of the medical emergency"
"well" sayed Rylka "I wasn't feeling to well at the diplomatic gathering, i started feeling rather nausage. and hoped you could get me something for it"
"OK, let me take a look at it" while Ardawen scanned him "It is just a minor stomach flew, nothing they could not find in the stations sickbay"
"Yes" Rylka said a light frown, "I do know that their was a sickbay on the station, but i don't trust those doctors, now if you'll just give me something for the upset stomach, i can get back to the station* she said in a little agitated tone. "
Ardawen looked at her, "well I can not order you not to go, but I would not recommend it, you should try to take it easy"
Ardawen walked to his trunks and carefully picked one, he opened it and took some herbs out of it.
He walked to the strange looking commander, "Now if you just make some tea with this herbs you will be fine in no time"

Tiffani thanked the doctor and left sickbay, she did not feel like dealing with anyone really, she made her way to the turbolift and entered
*Transporter Room* she stated, then thought for a moment *Computer delay that order, reroute to Deck 4* she said. she had decided to head the doctors wors and made way to her quarters, she wanted to rest a bit before returning. she only hoped that the Captain was doing okay so far. she knew she wasn't living up to expectations currenly, but she was going through a hard time and last thing she wanted to do was be around diplomats or any Foreign Goverment Personnal.the turbo lift came to a halt and she turned the the hall in the corridor and walked down to her quarters, she entered and walked over to the replicator, in the process setting her stuff down on the table as she goes,
*One Mint Tea, hot* she ordered, it had always been a favorite of hers. she took the cup and went and curled up on the couch and sipped on the tea. she soon found herself driffing off to sleep.

“Do diplomatic 'get-to-know-yous,' like this one, actually help in later talks?” the Captain asked General Kurat. "How the hell should I know" the General replied laughing heartily "I spend most of these getting to know you sessions drinking and scaring the VeQ that come here, and most of the talks listening to old men talk over nothing. Very little of note happens at these conferences, just the same old concessions being asked for by some, the same old self preservation and stonewalling by others. No-one wants to help someone else during peace time, because they have no-one to unite against" During this speech he had been lolling ever closer o the table edge. As Tiberian leaned in to make sure he was still breathing, the General sat up with a start, throwing both arms outwards in a grandiose gesture. Tiberian and Helena had the good sense to duck. "But" the General continued drunkenly "the Klingon Empire will ever endeavour to try and behave honourably to our allies" He now leaned backwards, and suddenly began snoring. At that moment the CNO came over and distracted the Captain's attention, preventing a diplomatic incident. The General reawoke with a start and rose unsteadily to his feet. "If you will all excuse me, I have more drinking to attend to" He tottered off with Helena in tow, offering Tiberian a shrug of amusement. Tiberian leaned back and blew out hard. He preferred the front line to this.

John was stood alone, he was never one for social gatherings. John found a seat and sat down.
there wasn't really much for him to do, but he found a little entertainment by flicking a crum around, that soon got tiring though.
John sat up, but kind of slouching in his chair, he made sure his body language made him look like all he wanted to do was talk to some one.

Tiffani woke up with a start. she realized that she had fallen asleep and got herself together before exiting and making her way back to the turbolift, she entered and gave it commands
*Transporter Room 1* She said and soon it was in motion, she exited the turbolift and made her way to the Transporter room, as she entered she smiled at the Transporter Chief.
*Good Chief, please beam me back to the Diplomatic conference, preferable a place that is isolated* she said with a smile.
---mOments later---
Moments later she found herself back at th Diplomatic Conference, she looked around for the Captain but did not spot her right away when someone spoke to her she was a bit startled*

After Lt. Arika responded to Nika, the Klingon ambassador left in a rather dramatic fashion, taking Lt. Wong's sister with him. Wong sighed and leaned back in his chair. Nika turned to him smiled, pretty sure she knew how he felt. Then she turned back to a very disgruntled looking Ambassador Savin.
“I greatly apologize for the interruptions,” Nika said, her smile changing to a half-frown.
“Yeah. Right,” the Arbazan answered, but Nika wasn't quite sure what she could say to that. “To be honest I'm not even sure what your purpose is here.” He said it pretty much with the sole purpose of offending Nika, and she recognized that, but she was resolute she would do nothing on the spur of the moment.
She inclined her head slightly. “You have your point,” she said, thinking about the fact that she had no official negotiating powers, that the most she could hope to do diplomatically for the Federation was avoid offending anyone. And giving tours of the Victory, apparently in the hope that people would be impressed enough to be willing to make concessions to the Federation. And that, as far as Nika could tell, didn't seem to be working very well.
“When I heard Starfleet was sending a ship, I was actually kind of intrigued to meet the Captain. After all, I thought that Starfleet had standards generally for its senior staff. Guess even I can be wrong,” Savin said.
Nika raised an eyebrow at Savin, her diplomatic instincts, or at least what little she had of them, telling her to just stand up and walk away, and that was all very well and good, but Nika didn't quite know where she would go. After all, one diplomats rudeness didn't excuse her from the diplomatic talks. But she stood up anyway, knowing that she certainly wasn't going to keep sitting and pretend nothing had happened. Nika was aware that the people near to her had quieted, creating a hushed sound of expectation.

OOC: Oh thank you Captain, SO, SO much.
IC: At the ambassadors first statement, Tiberian had sat bolt upright, and on the second he was on his feet, his face a violent shade of magenta. He could see the Captain looking at him, bur was unsure whether the look was one to encourage him to sit down, or to encourage him to keep arguing. Before he could analyse this the ambassador was on his feet and in front of Tiberian. "What Lieutenant?" He asked, his voice dripping with disdain. Tiberian rubbed his eyes with his right hand for a moment, then saying. "Oh to hell with it" he lowered his hand, and then quickly headbutted the ambassador. A sickening crunch could be heard. The ambassador's eyes crossed in the centre, and as blood rushed down his tunic he collapsed backwards, Tiberian caught him, settling him back in his seat. No-one, save the Victory staff at the table, seemed to have noticed this transpire. Having quickly wiped away the blood and checked for a pulse, Tiberian lifted the ambassador up and placed his arm around his shoulder to give the impression of him helping a drunken man. He quickly carried him through the revelry and into the kitchens, where he saw one of the chefs emptying unused food down a chute. "Is it oxygenated and pressurised down there" Tiberian shouted above the noise. "Sure" came the reply "We send in men every so often to shovel the rubbish out" When the chef had left, Tiberian opened up the chute's entry hatch, and dumped the ambassador in, watching until a pile of rancid garbage cushioned his fall. Tiberian quickly departed and returned to the table, acting as nonchalant as possible. "So" he asked "When do the talks begin?"

Matti had been walking around the ship all day distracted with an uneasy 'feeling' eminating from the station. After hours of getting nothing done, he decided to find out what the cause was.
After being beemed over to the station, Matti started to walk around and try to 'feel' his way to the sorce of the uneasyness.
After spending a few hours on the station and not coming any closer on finding the sorce he decided that he had had enough for the day. So he went to get some food.
(I guess that I was just hungry. This strange feeling has run me ragged since we got here. Maybe all I need is some rest.) Matti thought to himself.
As he got up to leave, he noticed that some of the walls of the station seemed to be giving off a radiance of loathing.
(THE WALLS. The feeling is coming from the WALLS. Of course. Now i see. It must have come from when they built the station. I have to find out about the history of the station.) Matti thought to himself.
He walked out to a monitor on the corridor wall. =Computer. Display the history of this station.= As he read through the display he noticed that some of the data was missing. =Computer. Where is the records of the missing data?= {Missing data has been restricted.} =By who?= {Dr. Marque. The station historian.} =Where can I find Dr. Marque?= {He is in the station library.} =Where is the station library?= {All of deck 3.}
Matti quickly went to a turbo lift and was on his way.
OOC: I will add on to this post again when I have i have more time. im falling asleep writing this.

Nika was shocked when Tiberian headbutted Ambassador Savin. Perhaps the ambassador's comments had been a little offensive, but to begin with, this was a diplomatic setting. This kind of thing just didn't get done. And besides, the former security officer part of her was calmly pointing out that it was generally less dangerous and a better idea to punch someone than headbut them.
Tiberian supported Savin to leave, and Nika just sort of watched them leave, still completely surprised and trying to get a handle of what the consequences of these latest actions would be. She could take a fair guess that they weren't going to be good, and that there was no way this actually was going to remain undiscovered, since Ambassador Savin was going to tell everyone about it. Besides, Nika didn't think this should be covered up.
Tiberian returned and asked when the talks would begin.
“Tomorrow,” Nika replied, and stood up and turned to the rest of the people she had talked to at various points in the evening and were still nearby. Nika was startled enough that she bowed fully to the ambassadors, almost without even realizing she was doing so. “I apologize,” she told the ambassadors, “but I have a few things on the Victory that need taking care of this evening.”
She made her goodbyes fairly quickly, and walked with Tiberian back towards the transporter room. She didn't talk to him for a bit; she was trying to think of what she could say. “What did you do with him?”
Tiberian explained what he had done.
Nika nodded. “What's going to happen when he wakes up?”
<Tag Tiberian>
Nika continued to think, as the two approached the transporter room, and she fell silent, until they were both back on the Victory. “Would you mind walking with me for a while?” she asked, only it wasn't really a request.
“You know we're not going to-we shouldn't and we can't-cover this up,” Nika said, knowing that she was saying what they both already knew but thinking that perhaps, in this situation, just this once, that might be the best way to start off. She was, after all, fairly disappointed that this had happened. “This is yours to figure out how you want to deal with it, but may I suggest a sincere, formal-but private-apology?” Nika asked. “Unless you have a better idea?”

“What's going to happen when he wakes up?” the Captain asked Tiberian. "Oh don't worry Captain" Tiberian replied, a plan already formulating in his mind "I know what I'm doing" They walked in silence to the transporter, until they were once more on the Victory, at which point the Captain said. “You know we're not going to-we shouldn't and we can't-cover this up. This is yours to figure out how you want to deal with it, but may I suggest a sincere, formal-but private-apology?” the Captain asked. “Unless you have a better idea?” "No disrespect intended ma'am, but I actually do" Tiberian answered as his plan finally came together. "I know from experience that the Arbazan are a particularly proud race. It wouldn't do for a well known diplomat's standing, if he were to be beaten and dumped down a garbage chute. I'm sure after a quick apology and the right phrasing, he could be persuaded to turn a blind eye" Tiberian's eyes met the Captain's to ensure she understood that there would be no more violence involved.
<TAG Captain Cir'Kem>
"Then with you permission Captain I'll see to the matter" Tiberian quickly departed, beaming back to the conference. He wandered down to the lower levels, finally convincing a deckhand that letting him into the waste receptacle was a good idea. Tiberian quickly found the ambassador, scarlet with anger and dripping in garbage juice. The ambassador immediately flew at Tiberian in a rage. "I'll have your commission for this" He cried, running at Tiberian. He stopped the ambassador with a glare. “Now sir, lets think about this rationally. If you do prosecute me, you will be humiliated in front of the diplomatic community. I am willing to offer my most sincere apologies, along with, certain other remuneration’s, in exchange for your discretion” Tiberian smiled. “What’s your offer” Savin asked. “I know of the Arbazan fondness for Romulan ale, so shall we say 3 bottles” “Five” “Four” “Done” Tiberian offered his hand to the ambassador “My sincerest apologies sir” “Accepted, with gratitude” Came Savin’s reply. He then departed, walking to the nearest transporter room. “Lieutenant Wong to Captain Cir’Kem. Ma’am the problem has been sorted, and I’ll be returning to the Victory shortly”

Not long after Rylka left sickbay, Ardawen also left sickbay to report on the bridge.
He took his time, to take a good look arround.
Finaly he came to a turbolift, Deck 4 he spoke and the turbo lift began to move to stop at deck 4 a few seconds later.
Now Ardawen walked directly to the bridge, he did not hassitaded but walked in: "lt junior grade Ardawen reporting as the new CMO"

“I'm sure after a quick apology and the right phrasing, he could be persuaded to turn a blind eye,” Tiberian suggested.
“Fine, do it then,” Nika said, granting Tiberian permission to do what he thought would work as long as it wasn't violent and there wasn't a large chance of it backfiring. She probably would have preferred Tiberian had just stepped forward, or, even better, convinced somehow Ambassador Savin not to press charges without taking advantage of his cultural characteristics of pride.
=/\=Lieutenant Wong to Captain Cir’Kem. Ma’am the problem has been sorted, and I’ll be returning to the Victory shortly=/\=
=/\=Acknowledged,=/\= Nika said, as she entered the turbolift. “Bridge,” she ordered, since she was too wound up after the adventures of the diplomatic dinner to simply go off duty and try to relax. And being on the bridge usually managed to reassure her that she hadn't caused anything to go wrong, since she could see that it was still there, and that the ship wasn't being fired on, which she found oddly calming.
She entered the bridge, and temporarily relieved the night XO, Commander Isha. Cmdr Isha headed to a secondary operations station, able to stay on the bridge without staying in the captain's chair. Nika saw that she had a message from an Admiral, and wondered what it could be about. But it didn't read urgent, merely relatively important.
Nika's curiosity was piqued, and she went to her office to listen to the message. When it finished, she glanced down at her hands, as if by making sure they were real she could somehow reassure herself of the validity of the message, since it didn't seem like it could be true. It was letting her know that she'd been promoted, but somehow she didn't feel like she should have been promoted to full captain, since it seemed a lot like she hadn't done nearly enough. Nika shrugged to herself though, she had confirmation that this was genuine. That was...still kind of surprising. But she had some more work to do.
Nika reentered the bridge, and sat down in the center chair. She hadn't been there long, when a Lt. dressed in blue entered. “Lt junior grade Ardawen reporting as the new CMO.”
Nika smiled warmly at the new CMO. “Welcome aboard,” she said. “I'm Captain Cir'Kem. If there's anything I can help with..?”

Tiffani had not been back on the ship very long and been resting in her quarters when saidly her Communique panel beeded several times letting her know of the Incoming message, she made her way over and tapped the view button, as she did the Security Cheif's face from the Starbase appeared.
----Communique----
Cmdr Rylka please report back to the station for questioning and then the screen went blank
----Communique end----
Tiffani frowned, that was odd, what now she wondered, she made her way back to the transporter room and smiled at the transporter chief when she entered,
*Good Day Lt* she said with a half smile *Please be me back over the station*
*Yes Ma'am* Came his reply and she stood up on the transporter pad and soon found herself back over on the station with the security chief and 2 security guards standing in front of her
*Cmdr Rylka, you are hearby under arrest, come with us* said the Security chief as the two security guards grabbed her arm and escorted her to the brig*

Tiberian was making his way back to the transporter room, having successfully concluded *negotiations* with the Arbazan ambassador. He walked along humming to himself, passed through the throng of the party, and into the operations area of the station. As he walked towards the main transporter room, he saw a Starfleet officer being led by two security guards, and flanked by the station's security chief. Although he could not remember the officer's name, he instantly recognised her as the Victory's XO. Stepping into the middle of the corridor to bar the way, Tiberian challenged: "Halt. Where are you going with the Commander?" "Move out of my way" replied the burly security guard at the front, as he moved to push Tiberian out of the way. As the guard's hand touched him, Tiberian bent back its little finger, following it with a firm push to the guards stomach. The guard flew back, being caught by the security chief. All the guards reached for their phasers, but Tiberian's hand was already gripping his, although he had not drawn it. "I ask you gentlemen again" he said coldly "What goes on here?" "Commander Rylka iss under arrest" the Chief replied "We have the right to detain her" "On what charge?" Tiberian asked "That is not for you to know Lieutenant" the Chief answered belligerently. "Then you have no right to arrest the Commander on civilian authority. As a Starfleet officer, the Commander is under Starfleet juristiction, and subject to Starfleet regulations. If you have not disclosed the Commander's arrest to our Captain, then the Captain has not authorised her removal by an independent civilian power" He moved closer to the Commander and relieved her of her phaser, whispering: "Don't worry ma'am, I'll see the Captain as soon as" he then turned back to the chief. "Commander Rylka will return to the Victory, where she will be confined to quarters pending a further investigation. You will then come to explain yourself to the Captain" He gestured back to the transporter room with the phaser, and all four complied. As they positioned themselves on the transporter pads, Tiberian tapped his comm badge. "Lieutenant Wong to the Victory" "Victory here" came a response. "My compliments to the Captain, and will she please come to transprter room one immediately" "Yes sir" the voice answered. Tiberian looked at the Commander for a moment. "Send down the marine guards as well, Wong out" Moments later they were onboard the Victory.

John returned to the trasporter room after a very quiet "negotiations" on his behalf. The reason was John wasnt feeling well since getting aboard the station, he gaind the permission from the captain to go to sick bey, so he did just that.
On arrival at sick bay he was greeted by the CMO, he explained the sypotoms to her theese were: Feeling sick head ache dizzyness
John said to her that although the syptoms were minor it was best to be checked over by someone.

Ardawen just walked in sickbay, when the door opened again. A Lt. walked in.
Ardawen walked to wards him, "Hello I'm Ardawen the ships new CMO, please state the nature of the medical emergency. The man called, John Roberts, was complaining about head ache and dizziness to be short, he was feeling sick.
"Well Lt.", Ardawen replayed, "Let's take a look at it shall we, sit down"
While the Lt. was sitting down, Ardawen prepared the Tricorder. When he was done he turned to Lt. Roberts and scanned him.
After a while he looked at the Lt. "well you look perfectly OK, it could be some stress or something I don't think you'll have to worry."

"Well" Ardawen replayed "I could give you some medication against head ache, and for the dizziness I could recommend nothing else then some salt and a good rest for now"

When the Lt. was gone, Ardawen went looking over the medical records Whit a nice cope of tea, he needed to know something about his cremates medical history.

John smiled and said, "well I thought it be best to get it checked out, mainly because it only happend when I got onto the starbase" with that he got up and left, John took the doctors advice and went to his quaters, he had a very small amount of salt, but it didnt seem to help. In the end all that seemed to work was sleeping. <TAG anyone who thinks i shouldnt be sleeping >

"No ma'am just reporting in, and may I say I'm glad you trust me in this possission on my first non academic mission"
“Of course,” Nika replied. “I'm glad to have you aboard the ship.”
“Now if will excuse me I have to go back to my post and would you call anyone who hasn't got a checkup jet to go to me?”
Nika smiled slightly. “I'm afraid you're the one who is burdened with that responsibility,” she explained. “All things considered, people are probably more willing to listen to a doctor urge them to take care of their health than to a captain.”
She was going to say more, when she received an emergency communication from the Station authorities. “I have found need to inform you that your current first officer, Commander Rylka, has been arrested for a murder that occurred at 19:30 this evening. She is to be confined at your discretion until her trial. A trained legal representative will be appointed for her, unless you or one of your crew would wish to represent her.”
Nika blinked rapidly a few times. “Whose murder?” she asked.
“The Lumerian Ambassador, Aclia Kade.”
The name didn't mean anything to Nika; she was sure she hadn't talked to that ambassador. For all she knew Tiffani had, but Nika still knew that it was absolutely impossible that Tiffani would commit a murder. “When will the evidence you have become available?” Nika asked. If she knew the evidence she would be able to find out how it was wrong sooner.
“Right now, but it shouldn't be transmitted over-”
Nika cut him off. “I'll send someone to pick up a copy of what you have then. Now, if you'll excuse me, I have things to take care of.”
Nika stood up, finally responding to the increasingly insistent communication from Wong. “I'm on my way,” she said, hurrying out the bridge and to the transporter room. On her way she caught her breath enough to order someone down to the security office on the station.
Nika arrived there, and saw the marines standing around in a face-off with station security. “You're going to have to be confined to your quarters until this gets sorted out. But I trust it won't be long.” She glared slightly at the head of the group of station security, who shrugged casually.
After they had left, Nika turned to Lt. Wong. “Thank you for...taking care of some of this,” she said briefly, then moved on, since there was a lot of work that needed to be done. From what she knew the pre-trial hearing would probably normally be in 3-5 days, but it made more sense to try to get the case quickly dismissed, since it was all ridiculous anyway.
“I don't believe we have any trained legal representatives on our ship, so Commander Rylka will have to work with a public station representative, at least for the short time until we get this case dismissed,” Nika said, then paused, finally taking longer than a second at a time to try to think about this. She waited, to see if Wong would have any advice, but was also thinking that she should let most of the senior staff about this, though she doubted many of them could do much.
