OFF: The new and improved Tiger Shark, now with sodium! Anyway, this is the new and long-expected mission, a Greenvalley and Wood production. Joint post..
ON: Wood stepped onto the refitted bridge, which smelled oily and new. It looked like a standard Akira bridge, but had some modifications to several stations, making them 'Redshirt-friendly'. With that thought in mind, our Operations Officer moved over towards the Ops console, making final supply checks and power diagnostics.
=/\=Savali to senior staff, report to the Tiger Shark observation lounge in ten minutes.
Just arrived and already a mission. Starfleet had better have a good reason to cut shoreleave so short. Before going straight to the observation lounge, however, he thought he'd make a final check in the cargo bay. The corridors were, more than usual, a busy mash of crewmen, making final adjustments and putting new wall panels into place. This was of course the new Deck 5, starboard side, which had been completely destroyed in the supernova. It was now that Wood noticed he still wore a Hawaii shirt, so a detour to his quarters was quite necessary. Nine minutes later, walking into the Observation Lounge, everyone was already seated, except for Thirteen, and Savali was not sitting at the head of the table.
=/\=Thirteen to Savali, I will not be able to make it to the briefing, sir. I have a situation here in the armory. My apologies. =/\=Understood, Lieutenant. We will notify you of the outcome.

OFF: Attention, please do not use Thirteen for the moment.
The doors of the observation lounge hissed open, and everyone turned their heads in that direction.
A young human male with normal length black hair and brown eyes entered the lounge.
He glanced at the people in the room, walked over to the head of the table, and smiled.
''Greetings everyone, my name is Andrew Greenvalley, I'm the so called mission specialist, as Starfleet would like to refer to my job. I am here to tell you about the mission we're about to go on.'' He sounded calm.
''We are going to investigate a pulsar star. That's a star made up completely out of neutrons which emits high-energy beams into space.''
He took a small device out of his pocket, and placed it on the table before he activated it.
Above the device a holographic model of a pulsar star could now be seen.
''The energy beams emitted by the star contain enough energy to power a dozen of colonies for a lifetime.''
He looked through the observatory and was satisfied that everyone one listened carefully.
''Starfleet wants us to go out there and examine if it is possible to collect the emitted anergy somehow to be able to use pulsar star's as future energy sources.''
''You might wonder why I just used the word 'we'. I will be joining you on this mission. I have made my lifetime study of stars, and therefore Starfleet thought it to be a good idea that I should join you.''
''Now there's no need for miss Laika to worry, I will not take over her job, I will simply be assisting.''
He looked through the room again.
''Unless I am miscounting, we are missing one crewmember, aren't we?''
''That is correct,'' captain Savali said, ''Thirteen, our CTSO is working in the armory to make sure the Tiger Shark is fully capable again once we set sail.''
Greenvalley nodded: ''Alright.''
''Any questions on the subject can always be directed to me, don't hesitate to ask. I hope we will be able to cooperate well, eventhough I will only be on this ship during this mission.''
''Very well, that's all I've got to say, captain, they're all yours again,'' Greenvalley said smiling at Savali, who nodded.
As Greenvalley sat down Savali said: ''Alright, I've got nothing to add to that, except that I wish to go right now. Mister Dowding, you know what to do, everyone to your stations, dismissed.''
The observation lounge emptied, and Greenvalley followed the others to the bridge, where he took seat next to J'Leera.
''Hi,'' he said. ''Hello,'' J'Leera replied.
''I guess we'll be working together during this mission,'' Andrew said.
''Yeah I guess so. I think we'll manage,'' she smiled.
''Mister Dowding, are you ready?'' Savali asked.
''Ready as I'll ever be sir,'' he replied.
''Then lay in a course for the coordinates Greenvalley gave you,'' he ordered, ''engage.''

Luke walked out of the turbolift and onto the bridge. He smiled - it had that new starship smell! He walked over to his console and activated the navigation systems. Thanks to the new upgrades he had helped to install the nav. system was over 68% more effective. Luke was secretly sure that the Tiger Shark's navigation systems were the best in the fleet. Only a little egotistical. He gently moved his hand over the console, he was becoming rather attached to the Tiger Shark and now looked upon her as a living being, which made him extra attentive to her.
He glanced round the bridge which was virtually empty apart from Commander Wood, who Luke smiled at. The Commander nodded his head in silent acknowledgment and Luke guessed he was busy so he didn’t try and start a conversation. The Commander left the bridge after Commander Savali's voice echoed through the intercom. They've improved the comm. Luke thought.
After making a few adjustments to his seat (They never got the height right!) Luke entered the Observation lounge and took his usual seat next to J'Leera who was already there.
"Hey, how was the holodeck?" Luke asked
"It was really good. A perfect way to relax." She replied. "Its a shame you couldn't of been there." She added.
"Yes I know. The beach was so beautiful but I had things to attend to." He replied.
J'Leera knew not to persue the matter. She was sure that Luke would inform her if there was anything major going on.
The rest of the crew entered the briefing room and Luke smiled at the crew now his family and friends. He noticed that Thirteen was missing and hoped everything was ok.
Commander Savali sat down and Luke wondered what they were waiting for. His question was answered as a human male walked through the door and greeted the crew.
As the briefing went on Luke found himself becoming more and more intrigued. He began to think if he would need to make any adjustments to he nav. systems because of the high energy beams when the briefing was dismissed.
''Alright, I've got nothing to add to that, except that I wish to go right now. Mister Dowding, you know what to do, everyone to your stations, dismissed.''
Luke nodded and left the Observation lounge and sat at his station on the bridge.
"U.S.S. Tiger Shark to Starbase Bellicose. This is Lt. Dowding requesting permission to leave the Starbase."
=^= Permission granted Lt. God Speed. =^= Came the response over the comm. system.
The screens flashed from automatic to normal control as the Tiger Shark neared the launch bay doors. Luke took control and slowly guided the now refitted and shining Tiger Shark out of the Bellicose. Piloting gave him such a great feel!
Andrew Greenvalley came over to Luke had gave him the co-ordinates. Luke thanked him and smiled. Andrew headed back to his seat next to Commander Savali's centre chair. That struck a chord of emotion in Luke. The Tiger Shark's first mission in a while without Captain K'Vada. He was extremely confident in Commander Savali's abilities and couldn't of asked for a better CO but it seemed strange without the Andorian Captain. Perhaps that feeling would ease with time.
''Mister Dowding, are you ready?'' Savali asked.
''Ready as I'll ever be sir,'' he replied.
''Then lay in a course for the co-ordinates Greenvalley gave you,'' he ordered, ''engage.''
Luke's hands swiftly moved over the console and the Tiger Shark jumped to warp. The Bellicose gone in a blink of an eye.

--Before the briefing--
After leaving the holodeck, Felix received a message from Admiral Elron informing him that Captain K'Vada had been reassigned and that he had to depart immediately so he could not find enough time to personally inform the crew about this. He also informed Felix that he was to take command till further notice and that a mission specialist Andrew Greenvalley was to join them for this mission, and that he will have all the info about the mission when he arrives.
After he listened to the message Felix went back to the TS he was making way through the crowd of ensigns, lt., and engineers making final repairs on the TS. But after a few minutes he made it back to his quarters. He took a shower and changed into his uniform. After that he made way to the bridge there was still no one from the TS crew there, and the bridge was almost empty if you weren't counting in a few people tuning the new bridge consoles.
After looking around he made way to the ready room, where he found a pile of pads on the desk, they were containing info about repairs that have been made, about the improvements done.... Most of them were for the chief engineer but were delivered to the wrong place.
He called an ensign up and gave him the pads that were for the CEO and told him to take them to main engineering. After finishing that he gave a call:
=/\=Savali to senior staff, report to the Tiger Shark observation lounge in ten minutes.=/\=
--Observation lounge, mission briefing--
Felix was just about to explain that a mission specialist was going to join them when the wolf appeared on the door. (lol) Greenvalley arrived and introduced himself. An interesting man, Felix thought while Greenvalley was briefing them on their new mission. It sounded pretty routine, and the man wasn’t that bad at first sight but only time will show if the first impression of him was the correct one.
After the briefing was over everyone departed back for the bridge. Felix was thinking about the pulsar while making way to his seat. He got the center seat once again. After sitting down he gave the order to set course for the coordinates provided by their mission specialist.
''Mister Dowding, are you ready?'' Savali asked.
''Ready as I'll ever be sir,'' he replied.
''Then lay in a course for the co-ordinates Greenvalley gave you, warp 7'' he ordered, ''engage.''
After the ship jumped to warp Felix brought up the console on the captains chair and was going over the info they had on the pulsar. He did not plan to be suprised by anything.

************************* BEFORE *************************
Rye had kept a low profile after being released from the TS' sickbay. The Mission had been very stressful on him, and with the damage to the ship he had to repair with the Starbase's refit teams, he had been exhausted. So now, Rye had been preparing for the next mission. He had been redesigning the engineering section that had been utterly destroyed in the supernova. He had replaced some redundant consoles with a new office for himself, and upgraded the LCARS system to a redesigned, more user friendly version he had written. He now sat in his office running some diagnostics on the Warp plasma injectors when a call came in from Commander Savali. =/\= Savali to senior staff, report to the Tiger Shark observation lounge in ten minutes. =/\=
Rye quickly made his way up to the bridge, and stepped into the lounge. He was happy to see Commander Laika sitting at the table. He assumed his position next to her and chatted with her for a few minutes as the rest of the senior staff gathered into the room.
******************************************** After the briefing ********************************************
Rye made his way back down to his office, where he saw his assistant engineer, Lieutenant J.G. Dennis Nguyen.
"Sir, I just noticed a slight imbalance in the chamber reactor, it is still in acceptable limits, but it could become a greater problem later." he said
"Very good, Lieutenant. Please affect repairs, and give me a report and a diagnostic." The CEO replied
"Aye, sir" the young Lieutenant said.
Rye continued to look at an overview of the upgrades that had been affected while at the Starbase. Knowing that they may have to be repaired again, Rye would have to be familiar with these systems. He was particularly interested in the upgrades the Lieutenant Dowding had done. It appeared that he showed great promise in Navigational systems.
At 19:30, Rye got off duty.
"Mr. Daniels, Lieutenant Nguyen has a diagnostic of the chamber reactor, when it finishes, could you leave the analysis on my desk.
"Understood, Commander" The Ensign said.
And with that, the Commander left Engineering for his quarters. His quarters had been in the section of Deck 5 that had been destroyed. Fortunately, Rye had not had any personal belongings on the ship, so there was no real loss. That and the fact h had a brand-spanking-new set of quarters made it a plus. He had specially ordered certain furniture, including a new leather recliner, and an optional blue lighting system, in addition to normal lights. He sat down, and began to read some old naval history books. This had been a hobby of his in childhood, and loved reading naval strategy, primarily through the 16th to mid 20th century when real planning and intelligence were required.
He was just getting into the book when he got a beep on his communicator.
(=/\=) "J'leera to Rye"
"Rye here, how are things?"
"Not too bad. I was wondering if you wanted to get a drink with Danny and I when we get off duty at 21:50."
"Sounds good, would you like to meet in my quarters? I can have the replicator make a wonderful dinner."
"That would be nice. I'll see you then!"
Very Well, Rye Out." (=/\=)

“Oh, well,” J’Leera sighed as the group made their way back to the ship. “It was fun while it lasted.”
She really enjoyed their brief shore leave, grateful for the chance to finally kick back and relax, but now it was time for them to get back to their work and do their duty. She had heard that the mission would not be stressful at all. In fact, she had heard that it could be a simple scientific investigation. She hoped so, because she was getting rather tired of their hazardous missions. Not that she really complained though. If Starfleet wanted them to do a dangerous mission, then she would do it, but why did it have to be all the time?
She hoped that it was a research mission, she that she could get the chance to do the work that she joined Starfleet for.
After leaving the holodeck, everyone split on their own separate ways to take care of last minute details. J’Leera didn’t really bring anything with her, so she went straight up to the bridge to find out what was going on.
Several of the junior officers told her that a newcomer was on board. They thought that he was scientist, but weren’t sure. She nodded, “How are the sensors holding up by the way?” she asked the man who was monitoring the science console.
“They’re fine now,” he replied. “I’ve just finished recalibrating them. I assumed that we were probably going to need them, so I went ahead and got that job out of the way.”
She nodded and checked the results. “Excellent work, Ensign…?” she looked over.
“Ensign Holman,” he answered.
“Well, these results are extremely good. How did you manage to do them so quickly?”
“Oh, I have a certain knack with these things,” he answered proudly. “Engineering is something that I’m just good at.”
“Well then, by all means, don’t keep it to yourself. Teach your methods to the others.”
“Of course I will,” he nodded.
“Excellent,” she said and turned to leave. “Oh, and the computers in the science lab probably need updating too. I’m assigning you to that task.”
“Aye, Commander!”
With that, J’Leera turned and headed toward the observation lounge. She hadn’t had much time to work with her assistants, but she suspected that Holman would make a fine officer one day. She wanted to work with him more closely and see to it, that it happens.
As she entered the observation lounge, she did not see the newcomer, so she took a seat and waited. Not long after, a man came in whom she did not recognize. She assumed that this was the one that the officers on the bridge mentioned. The now Lt. Commander Fitzpatrick came in and sat next to her, talking about what had happened on the holodeck and the upcoming mission. Neither one of them knew for sure what to expect, but they looked forward to it.
She glanced around. Everyone seemed to be there with the exception of Thirteen who was busy at work, so she waited for the briefing to begin.
The man came to the front and introduced himself as Andrew Greenvalley and that he would be overseeing the mission.
J’Leera listened closely as he explained how they would be investigating a way to harness the power emitted by a pulsar to use for the adjoining system. From what she heard, the plan sounded plausible, but then grew concerned about this Greenvalley’s role would be since she herself was science officer.
He noticed her concern and assured her that he would not be taking her place, but merely monitoring their progress and assisting. After that, the meeting ended and everyone took their places on the bridge to prepare to leave.
J’Leera immediately took her station and looked up to see Mr. Greenvalley coming over. He took a seat next to her, smiling pleasantly.
''I guess we'll be working together during this mission,'' Andrew said.
''Yeah I guess so. I think we'll manage,'' she smiled.
Actually, she looked forward to having someone else to work with. Often she had to work by herself and depend on her assistance. Just then Luke came in and took his station. She looked over at him curiously, wondering where he had been. However, it was obvious that he didn’t want to talk about it, so she didn’t press the issue.
As they left the starbase, she couldn’t help but to wonder why the Captain was suddenly reassigned. It was strange not seeing him there anymore and she knew that she would miss him.
After they had been underway for a while, a thought suddenly popped into her head. She slapped her comm. Badge, (=/\=) "J'leera to Rye"
Very Well, Rye Out." (=/\=)
They weren’t supposed to reach their destination for a while, so she thought that she’d take the time to get to know her crewmates a little better. She turned toward Mr. Greenvalley. “If you’re not busy, would you like to join us?”

Luke couldn't stop grinning. He was piloting again. This was how things should be. He could feel every movement the Tiger Shark made, almost as if he had become one with the ship. He snapped out of his trance as a panel on his console flashed.
"Odd"
Luke said to himself. He accessed the computers main navigational data and ran a comparison to the data he was recieving and the data they had on file. It didn't match. He glanced behind him and was just about to cal over Commander Savali or Greenvally when the console beeped again and Luke saw that the data now much the onboard files.
"Probably a computer blip" Luke muttered
At the end of his shift Luke's eyes were itching and his neck was sore. It was over tiredness. He hadn't been getting much sleep at the moment. There was always something to do. He got up and rubbed his eyes. An ensign by the name of Jack Harrison came over and replaced Luke at helm. Luke smiled at the ensign and Jack smiled back.
"Good night Jack" Luke said sleepily
"Night Lt." Jack replied.
Luke left the bridge and the turbolift took him to his quaters. He spent an hor lying restlessly in his bed, tossing and turning. He decided he would be better off doing something productive and so he headed off to the holodeck with a pile of padds and tech schematics.
Arriving at the Holodeck he activated his medieval church program and walked inside. Sitting on the floor by the alter Luke got to work.
He didnt know how much time had passed, but he eventually lifted his head from the work. He heard a noise and assumed it must be a mouse or something. After all it was an old church. He heard it again, this time louder. It was no mouse. A small friar with a pot belly appeared from nowhere. He smiled at Luke.
"Have you come to repent my child?" He asked
"Computer, what is happening. I asked for no characters to be displayed. Remove the Friar please."
There was no response. Luke was just about to ask the computer again when the Friar drew a long knife from inside his brown robe.
Luke panicked. The computer wasn't reposnding which probably meant safetys were off. He headed towards the exit but the man appeared in front of him.
"Repent and your soul from purgatory shall spring!" The Friar cried with a crazy element to hsi voice.
Luke treid to walk passed him but the man swung round and stabbed Luke in between his lungs.
"Repent?" The man asked wickedly
Lukes breath weakened and everything went black...
"Lt.! Lt.!" A voice called quietly.
Luke stirred. He opened his eyes to see Jeret standing over him and shaking his shoulders gently.
"Luke wake up!" He hissed quietly
"Jeret, what?" Luke said groggily
"You fell asleep you halfwit! You were only out for a couple of minutes but if you had been caught.." He trailed off dramaticaly.
"My shifts ended. I think I'll go and get some rest." Luke said.
"I think that is a very good idea." Jeret replied. "Whatever your doing alongside your duties on the Tiger Shark is sending you over the edge."
"I like the work. It helps me not to remember." Luke said
Jeret sighed. "Just get some rest mate. We'll talk later." He smiled and patted Luke on the back before sitting at the helm.
Luke left the bridge confused and overwhelmed. Was Amy's death still affecting him. Was that what his nightmare was about?
He shook himself. He had to get his act together.
"I am a Starfleet officer" He said to himself. "I am a Starfleet officer."

Andrew smiled at J'Leera and thanked her for her invitation, he'd be there at 21:50.
This was a great opportunity to get to know some of the crewmembers.
=/\= Greenvalley ot Fitzpatrick, where are you situated at the moment? =/\=
=/\= In my quarters sir. =/\=
Andrew smiled, =/\= Sir will not be nessercary mister Fitzpatrick, I would like you to meat me in the science lab. =/\=
=/\= Understood s... mister Greenvalley. =/\=
Andrew stepped into the turbolift which took him to the floor of the sciencelab, where he upon arrival was greeted by Rye.
''Hi,'' Andrew said shaking Rye's hand, ''I hope your construction skills are up to date?''
Rye nodded. ''I'm going to ask commander Laika to assist me in finding the most significant way of collecting the enrgy beams. Once we have succeeded doing so, I would like to request of you to build the technology we came up with.''
Andrew calmly continued, as he spawned a big blueprint of the Tigershark above the holotable, ''I would like you to examine where this device could best be attached to the Tigershark.''
''However, you must make sure that the device will not interfere with other systems of the ship, and it must be placed as economically as possible, that we can build it big to collect the biggest range of energy.''
Rye nodded, looking at the floating blueprint with an interested expression on his face.
''Can you work on that?'' Greenvalley asked.
''I'll manage,'' Fitzpatrick said eagerly.
''Of course you can ask any officer's assistance, and mine too, if you think you'd require that,'' Andrew said, ''I'll fill you in on the device itself as soon as J'Leera and I have found the best method of collecting the energy.''
''Okay, sounds good to me,'' Fitzpatrick answered.
''Great, I'll be attending further buisiness now then,'' Andrew said, ''I'll see you toninght at dinner.
''Oh you're coming too?'' Rye began, ''That's cool, then you can meet some of the crew, and get to know them a bit.''
''I'm looking forward to it,'' Andrew said, as he walked around a corner, back on his way to the bridge again.
<Tag Fitzpatrick>
Once he arrived back on the bridge Andrew approached J'Leera.
''I see no use in waiting any longer, so, when you're ready I suggest we begin,'' he said.
''Alright I'm ready, J'Leera said, ''astrophysicslab?''
''Perfect,'' Greenvalley responded.
The two of them went down to the lab, and soon all panels in the lab were glowing with technical information and starcharts.
''Okay,'' Greenvally said, ''where shall we begin?''

Rye was intrigued with the blueprints Greenvalley had provided. He studied the design for a few minutes, and figured on the best location. The least aerodynamic part on the ship would be the best location for the collection grid. Rye quickly realized that it should be mounted on top of the weapons pod in the aft of the ship. Rye contacted Greenvalley...
(=/\=) "Fitzpatrick to Greenvalley."
"Greenvalley here, Commander, go ahead."
"I have found a prime location for the device, and have started to make prepartions for construction of the collector. When I have the final specs, I'll begin construction.
<TAG THIRTEEN/GREENVALLEY>
With that, Rye left to get to his quarters to prepare for his guests. Rye had also taken the initiative to invite Luke, Wood, and Cmdr. Savali. Felix couldn't make it, however, the rest had all eagerly accepted. He set in the replicator patterns, and set his dining table for the officers.
At 21:45, people began to shuffle in.

Off: Part one of a joint post by Tiffani and Felix
--21:00 Main Bridge--
Felix was seated at the center seat and was going over the latest status reports. After he was done with them, he got up from his seat and relinquished command to the next shift. After once more checking their speed he went into the turbolift for a short ride and then he made way towards his quarters.
--21:10 Felix & Tiffanies quarters--
Once he arrived to their quarters he found Tiffani sitting on the sofa and reading a book.
"Hello dear", he said as he lowered and gave her a quick kiss
*she closed the book and leaned up to give him a kiss* hello Hun
*she smiled as she leaned back against the couch again getting comfy* I suppose the meeting went well? *She questioned* sorry i did not attend was not feeling well.
"Yes it went well", he started as he was sitting down
"A scientist named Andrew Greenvalley came aboard to give us the mission briefing and hell be tagging along for this mission.", he said
"He seems like an Ok guy, but only time will show if i was right"
"Anyway were on course to investigate a pulsar and it’ll all probably turn out as an ordinary, quiet science mission", he finished
Just as Tiffani was about to say something a call came from Ryerson Fitzpatrick inviting Felix and Tiff to a dinner at his quarters but seeing everything that went on Felix thanked him and told him that they will not be able to attend.
"So, you were saying?", he turned to her after closing the channel
*she smiled as they were interrupted she wondered what things would be like if he was to actually become Co she wondered if she would see even less of him*
"Oh i was just going to say that it sounds like it will be a pretty simple mission but of course as the teach us in the academy one can never be to sure"
*she leaned against him and cuddle*
"But enough business talks"
*she chuckled as she placed a hand on her stomach*
"we really should start concentrating on names for the baby"
*She smiled as she tiled her head to look up at him*
"Names you say, well you are probably right, what do you say about Jean for a girl and James if its a boy?", he said while putting his hand around her shoulder

Off: Part II
*she smiled and thought for a moment* Hmm James sounds okay but i was thinking of Maybe Carlina Marie for a girl *she leaned against them as the talked* that is if you don’t mind?
"Mind, of course i don't mind", he smiled
"As if id ever go against something you want", he added
*she leaned up and kissed him gently on the lips* no you never would but we are husband and wife and as such we should make decision together
"Its good to let others make the decision sometimes", he said
"So what do you want to do now? Have you heard from your mother recently?", he asked
*she shook her head* "no i have not heard from mother sense our wedding *she paused* which is surprising i must say i was sure she would contact me sooner"
*She laughed and swatted him playfully* my mother has not dated sense my father death i doubt she would find a man now *she grinned* and besides i would be able to tell if she had *she stood up and made her way to the replicator* actually im hungry care to something to eat?
"No maybe just a cup of tea, peach tea, and make it hot", he said
*she chuckled*
"Very well Sir"
*She gave him a teasingly wink due to his tone in his voice*
"Computer One Peach tea Hot *it replicated and she picked it up and handed it to him returning to the replicator she ordered a hot fudge sundae with a brownie and pickle"
*she waited for it to appear and then returned to the couch as she noticed Felix looking at her strangely*
"What? Im hungry"
"It’s been a while since you last called me sir", he laughed
"And im glad the child wont be hungry", he said after she began eating the meal
After he finished his cup of tea it was already 2300.
"Time certainly does fly fast when you’re having fun", he said
"Im goanna go to bed now dear, i could use a good night sleep", he added as he got up and gave her a kiss
*She smiled at him* "okay dear"
*she said as she took a bite of her ice-cream*
"i shall be their shortly im just going to finish this then send a letter to my mother"
*she watched him as he stood to head for bed*
"Don’t be surprised if im sleeping by the time you arrive"; he said as he walked off to the bedroom, changed and lied down, it only took a few moments before he fell asleep, it has been a while since he had a good night sleep.

Fully aware Luke was not going to get any rest he was glad when Rye contacted him and invited him to his quaters for an informal gathering. Maybe he wouldn't get any sleep but at least he could relax. He left his quaters at 21.35 and headed for Rye's quaters that weren't too far from his.
He arrived at Rye's quaters early and was greeted graciously. He handed the bottle of wine he had bought along to Rye.
"It's not replicated." Luke said. "Its from Vedra. Where I spent some of my childhood."
"Thankyou Luke. I'm sure we'll all enjoy this!" He smiled. "Come in and take a seat. Everyone else should be arriving soon."
Luke nodded and smiled. He felt more relaxed already.

=/\= Understood mister Fitzpatrick, nice work. =/\=
J'leera and Greenvalley had made some progress on their work, however it was far from finished.
At 2145 Andrew chimed at Rye's quarters.
He'd dressed up for the occasion in a neatly looking black suit with a red button shirt. Black, shiny shoes covered his feet.
The door opened and Andrew stepped inside to find Rye, Luke and J'Leera already at the dining table Rye had prepared.
''Hi,'' Andrew said, being greeted by the others.
He shook everyone's hand once more, he hadn't met Wood quite yet, and then he sat down in the empty chair next to J'Leera.
Five minutes later Wood and Danny arrived as well, and everyone was seated again after a quick introduction with Greenvalley.
Rye served a great variety of food, and soon everyone was eating and talking. It was a most pleasant occurence.
''So mister Wood, you are the Tiger Shark's first officer for this mission?'' Andrew asked.
<Tag Wood>
''I've always wondered what it'd be like to have a commanding position on a starship,'' Andrew continued.
''Luke,'' Andrew adressed Luke, ''is being the navigational officer not a boring job? With all due respect of course.''
<Tag Luke>
Andrew turned to Danny: ''It's a pretty new position, marine officer, isn't it?''
<Tag Danny>
''I hope we'll manage to find something before we reach the star,'' Andrew said to J'Leera.
<Tag J'Leera>
''You did a good job today Rye,'' Andrew said, ''where did you have in mind to plant the device?''
<Tag Rye>
Taking another sip of his wine Andrew interestingly listened to the answers of his questions.
It was a nice crew, a fantastic group of people. I'll enjoy my time aboard, Greenvalley thought.

The evening went well. With lots of talking and laughter, this is what the crew needed!
Andrew seemed like a great guy and Luke was glad to see he was taking in an interest in the crew. It would be a shame to see him go after this misson. He fitted so well into the Tiger Shark family.
''Luke,'' Andrew adressed Luke, ''is being the navigational officer not a boring job? With all due respect of course.''
Luke snorted in his wine glass. "Most people think that!" He laughed. "I suppose its just a love your born with. I don't think my life would be complete without having a ship to guide. Its just the feeling I get when i navigate the ship. Undescribable." Luke smiled. "Oh and don't worry, no offence taken."

OFF Luke, because you gave wine, you are maroon. Greenvalley is, yes, Green J'leera is Darker Green Wood is
Uniform, or suit. That was Rye's quanderey. He had finished making preps for his company, now, after a shower, he had to decide whether to get into his dress uniform, or wear a nice suit. After a few minutes, Rye decided on his black suit.
Now, he went over his checklist: Place Settings >YES< Mozzarella Sticks >YES< Pork Chops >YES< Assorted Vegetables >YES< Salad >YES< Kahlua Cake >YES< Red Wine >REPLICATED< Cranberry Juice >YES<
Rye was just getting the last of the preparations completed when his door sounded.
"Come in!" Rye said. Luke appeared at the door holding a bottle of wine.
"Hi, Rye. I'm sorry if I'm early."Luke said.
"Not at all. Come on in, Luke." Rye welcomed.
"Here...Luke handed Rye the bottle of wine. "It's not replicated, its from Vedra. Where I spent some of my childhood."
"I appreciate that Luke, come on in, and relax. Can I get you anything you drink?" Rye asked.
"Please. I'll have a Quantum Fireball. I'm in a happy mood!"Luke said. Rye decided to get himself one as well, so they both sat in the new couch talking about nothing.
A few minutes later, the door chimed again. Rye and Luke got up and went to the door. His door whizzed open, and Andrew Greenway appeared dressed in a suit similar to Rye's. So after getting him a somarian equinox, they sat back down, talking about the mission. At 21:50, J'leera, Wood, Buster and came to the door.
For the first hour or so, Everyone sat around in Rye's quarters chatting, then we all gathered around the buffet. "If anyone needs anything special, just tell me, and I'll get it for you."
Pork appeared to be against the Fabrini diet, so Rye had replicated a pasta dish for J'leera. Other than that, everyone was happy.

Luke looked at the plate. Pork. How was he going to get out of this one?
"Excuse me? Rye?" Luke said
"Yes Luke." Rye said turning to face him.
"I can't eat pork. My gut doesn't like it much." Luke said.
"Oh..." Rye said.
"Im so sorry for the inconvenience Rye." Luke said apologetically.
"Oh no bother at all. How would you like the pasta dish J'Leera has?" Rye said.
"Thankyou that would be lovely." Luke smiled and Rye swapped the pork for the pasta dish.
"Sorry Rye. Growing up the way I did causes me to have a bit awkward eating habits."
"Honestly Luke, Its no bother. Enjoy the meal!"

After a while, Mr. Greenvalley came back up to the bridge. J’Leera assumed that he had been done to Engineering talking to Rye, so she also assumed that he would want to get started right away.
“Well, first I suggest we have the computer create a holographic model for us to work with. How much information is available on the star so far?”
“Not a whole lot, but it’s enough to get started,” he answered. “Most of the data we’ll have to collect ourselves. But what we do have is already downloaded into the ship’s main computer.”
J’Leera went over to a console and quickly found the data that he was referring too. True, there was quite a bit of data there, but lacked the necessary energy outputs. In order to find the most efficient method of gathering the energy, they first had to know exactly where the energy was being released at the greatest amounts.
“It looks like this data will need to be update soon,” she said while looking it over. She then explained the lack of the energy output levels and why it was necessary.
Mr. Greenvally nodded in agreement. “I anticipated that of course, but I thought that we could start the calculations taking into account the position of the energy array that will need to be put into orbit.”
“Of course,” she nodded. “Then once we have that, we can synchronize the orbit of the array to match the specific place where energy output from the star is the greatest. Once we’ve determined the place and how fast it’s rotating, then we could determine the kind of orbit the array must be placed in.”
“Precisely…” he acknowledged. Just at that moment, Rye called in saying that he had found a suitable spot for the device. Mr. Greenvalley was very pleased and wanted to get to work right away.
Together, they accomplished a lot, but eventually had to call it quits unless they wanted to fall asleep at their consoles. They decided that they should take a break and go to Rye’s dinner party. Not that they objected of course. By that time both of them were very hungry and were looking forward to some dinner.
Before they went though, they took some time to go back to their quarters and find something more appropriate to wear.
J’Leera quickly found the outfit that she was looking for and hurriedly dressed. It was a simple looking maroon dress with small black flowers embroidered over it. It was her most favorite dress, one that her mother had bought her when she joined Starfleet.
After putting her hair up, she quickly made her way over the Rye’s quarters and went in. Not everyone wsa there yet, so she took a seat and waited. After a while, people started to come in and get settled. Mr. Greenvalley was one of the last and he sat next to her. When dinner started, he began asking a lot of questions to each of the crewmembers, wanting to get to know them better. One of the questions were directed at her too.
''I hope we'll manage to find something before we reach the star,'' Andrew said to J'Leera.
“Oh, I’m sure that we will,” she nodded. “I think that nearly everything is ready, now all we need to do is actually collect the data that we need from the star itself.”
As they started to eat, J’Leera looked down at her plate dismayed by what she saw. Was that pork? she wondered and sampled it. She put it down quickly. Yes it was pork. She quickly looked over towards Rye who was busy serving drinks. How could she tell him that Fabrinis do not eat pork? she wondered. I don’t want to offend him, however I don’t want be up all night with a stomach ache either.
After a few minutes, she managed to wave Rye down and she careful explained that Fabrinis could not eat pork, since the fat that it contained did not sit well with them and the fact that in her culture, very few meat is eaten at all with the exception of fish. She then apologized for any embarrassment this might have caused him.
Rye shook his head, “No, not at all. Here, I have something better for you,” he went to the replicator and brought back a plate of Fabrini pasta.
J’Leera smiled, “How did you know that this was my favorite kind?”
Rye just smiled and returned to his seat.
She noticed that Luke was having problems with his dish as well and watched as he then exchanged the pork for a similar dish. I wonder why he can't eat pork? she wondered. She'd ask him later though.

After dinner, Mr. Greenvalley had been discussing different things with the officers. Rye was talking to Commander Wood about a thermodynamics lecture they had attended while on shore leave, and then he just sat listening to everyone talk...Rye was happy. This crew needed more relaxation. With their recent disasterous missions, and the death of Amy, we needed a nice, calm mission.
"Rye, where did yo decide to put the collection grid?" Greenvalley asked him.
"Well, as you know, the place where the most energy rays will pass is the least aerodynamic part of the ship. That is where the weapons pod and navigational deflector are. We can either deploy it between the two nacelles, or just alog the weapons pod." Rye explained.
"Ah, Okay. Great job. Greenvalley said
***
At the end of the evening, people slowly left the party. Luke was the first to go, then one by one, people thanked Rye, and said "Good Night". As Greenvalley and J'leera walked out together, Andrew said,
Good job, again Rye. I'll see you tomorrow."
Rye nodded his acknowledgement, and waved. He then got his uniform on, and went to his next shift. Even though he was tired, he still had to get this done, so he walked in the Engine Room, and saw Ensign Bates, and Ensign Nott.
"Hello, sir. How are you?"came from both ensigns, and Rye had a discussion with them about what they had done. Rye was pleased, so he sat down in his office and had a look at the to do list. The replicators in Captain Savali's quarters had to be repaired, and there was a power fluctuation in the navigation control system.
Rye called Captain Savali.
(=/\=) "Fitzpatrick to Savali. If it is ok, sir, I will come to your quarters to fix your replicator."
"I appreciate that, Commander, now is fine."
"Very well, sir. Fitzpatrick out."(=/\=)
Rye made his way to the Savali's quarters, and repaired the coaxial flux capacitor. Savali thanked him, and Rye went on to check out the power problem. Rye crawled through jeffries tube 336A to get to the power control module.
Upon inspection, Rye found that the module had been connected improperly, and was giving off intemittent power. Rye repaired the connections, and called the bridge.
(=/\=)"Fitzpatrick to Bridge"
"Bridge here, sir. Lieutenant Norton here." "Lt. please go to the helm and run diagnostic 247 Beta." "Sir, the diagnostic says that the re is an intermittent power fluctuation." "Can you isolate it?" "Negative, sir." "Understood, Mister. Fitzpatrick out"(=/\=)
Rye couldn't understand this. The computer couldn't isolate the problem, he'd already found a problem and repaired it. How wide-spread could it be? Rye would have to continue invstigating.

OFF: Might I remind you not to use Thirteen yet, he did not attend the dinner party.
Satisfied Andrew had left Rye's quarters, it had been a great evening, the crewmembers had already accepted him, something that didn't always occur when he went on a mission with a ship.
He walked along with J'Leera for a corridor or two, and then said goodnight turning into the direction of his own quarters.
He threw himself on his bed once he'd dimmed the lights in his quarters. A minute later Andrew got up again and replicated a small glass of irish whiskey, his favorite drink on nighty occasions.
Soon relaxing classic music sounded through his quarters at a low volume, and Andrew sank down on his couch, enjoying an hour of rest before he decided to go to sleep.
The next morning he got up early and, after a quick breakfast, could be found in the astrophysics lab again, where he was now figuring out in what way he could get to know the star's energy output as precise as possible.
Two hours later he was joined by J'Leera, who came in and greeted Andrew with a yawn.
''Goodmorning, slept well?'' Andrew asked. ''Yeah, but a bit short,'' J'Leera answered, ''for how long have you been here already?''
''Just two hours, I was hoping to find how we could best find the star's output before you'd get here, but I'm afraid that didn't turn out to be,'' Andrew said.
''Well, let me help you then,'' J'Leera smiled.
''Alright,'' Andrew said, ''perhaps we can do something with the amount of emitted particles at different ranges from the star, see how the concentration differs from close to the star to far from it.''
''The frequenty in which they are emitted might help us too,'' J'Leera suggested.
''Tomorrow morning we'll be arriving at the star, then we can use sensors and all kinds of measuring devices to help us. We'll be making a lot more progress then,'' Greenvalley said.
''Indeed,'' J'Leera confirmed.
Andrew nodded. ''Alright, let's get to work with what we have now.''

As the evening progressed Luke felt his eyes drooping. It wasnt that he was bored, he was actually having a fantastic time. It was just that he was so unbelievably tired!
Luke decided that with the meal over that he would call it a night. He still had a few star charts to load up into the computers databanks.
He said goodnight to everybody and thanked Rye and apologised again for the inconvenience over the meal.
"Honetly Luke It was fine. No problem!" Rye said
Luke thanked him again and left the room with a casual wave to the rest of his crew mates. He headed for his quaters to pick up his padds and data chips.
After replicating a flask of Yorkshire tea (his favourite) and quickly changing into his uniform. Luke headed to astrometrics. He may not be officially on duty but Luke liked to keep up to standard.
When he arrived at Astrometrics Lt. Bower was there.
"Having a good shift Max?" Luke asked.
"Yeah, it's alright. The graveyard shifts always quiet!" He laughed.
"You got that tech padd I asked you for?" Luke said.
"Yeah its over there, its got the data that was gathered from one of Bellicoses deep space probes on it as well as the new information you gathered yesterday." Max replied.
"Cheers Max. Ill upload that now as well."
The two officers continued with their work and eventually Luke had finished. He was just about to leave when the console he was working at flashed. A warning light.
"Dowding to helm. What's going no up there?" He asked
=^= Nothing Sir. Everythings running smoothly. Whats the problem? =^= Came the voice of Jeret.
"No problem. Don't worry. Dowding out." Luke replied.
Max looked at Luke strangely.
"The computer just told me that we were heading towards the sun in a local system. Its probably just a glitch in the system. Its odd that its happened sp soon after a refit though. Thats another job for me to sort out." Luke said.
"Well I'll leave you to it Luke. Ive got to be up on duty in about 4 hours. Night." Max said.
"Yeah night" Luke said. It was going to be a long one for him!
At 0600 Luke had run every single scan he could possible think of, checked every single scrap of navigational data and checked the navigational computer 3 times but nothing had come up. He aksed the computer for the time and groaned after taking a sip of the now cold tea. He had to be on the bridge in an hour. Just enough time for a shower, change of uniform and a snack.

After dinner, J’Leera walked back toward her quarters with Mr. Greenvalley for a short ways. When they neared his quarters, he told her good night and they went their separate ways.
By the time she reached the door, she was about ready to collapse. If she didn’t get inside quickly, then she’d be asleep before she knew it and people would be wondering why she were standing in front of her door with her eyes closed.
Fortunately for her, she made it inside in time and managed to change before collapsing on the bed. She was asleep in seconds and wasn’t aware of anything until the computer woke her up by indicating that it had a message for her.
Groggily, she sat up and rubbed her eyes. She was tempted to let herself collapse and go back to sleep, but she also realized that she had a lot of work to do, besides being a little curious about the message. So, she slowly pushed herself up and walked across the room to the console.
“Computer, what is the message?” she asked.
“Message is from Starbase Conquer by Jatira Laika,” the computer responded.
“Jatira?” she asked in surprise, suddenly awake. “Computer, play message.”
An image of her little sister popped up on screen. J’Leera was somewhat surprised to see her wearing a civilian outfit rather than her cadet uniform. She listened to what her sister had to say.
“I suppose you’re wondering why I’m dressed like this,” Jatira began. “Well, it started out as soon as I got here really. On my first day of classes, I realized that security just wasn’t for me. I thought that’s what I wanted, but I was wrong,” she paused. “Now, I’ve already spoken to mom and dad and they agree with me. Remember how you’ve always told me that I’m good with dealing with other cultures and that I should pursue that? Well, I have. I’ve transferred out of Starfleet and am now studying diplomacy. So far I’m doing very well in it and I hope to graduate soon. Next week is my big exam, so I’ll keep you posted.”
“I sorry that I missed you on Starbase Bellicose, but I couldn’t afford to miss class. Hopefully, I’ll see you soon. I miss you. Well, bye for now.”
J’Leera sat back in her chair, not really surprised. All along she suspected that security was the wrong field for her and had often encouraged her to go into government work. Well, I’m glad that she’s happy now.
After sending a reply message wishing her well in her studies, J’Leera quickly got ready and headed back down to Astrophysics. Mr. Greenvalley was already there and hard at work. He still wasn’t sure about how to calculate the energy output levels, but as soon as they reached the star the next day, all of that would be clear.

--0700, Felix and Tiffanies quarters--[/i]
=/\=It is now 0700 hours=/\=
Came the computer voice. Morning already Felix thought as he was slowly waking up. He yawned, and thought that he finally had a good nights sleep. He looked at Tiffani who didn’t seem to have been woken up by the computer voice. Felix got out of bed slowly so that he wouldn’t wake up Tiffani as she deserved a bit more of sleep.
He had a shower and changed into a fresh uniform. After that he made way towards the living room. He ordered a cup of coffee from the replicator and took over some pads to look at while drinking his coffee. Once he was finished he put the empty cup back in the replicator and went out of his quarters.
After a short walk he arrived to the turbolift and entered it.
"Deck 1, bridge", he said.
--Main Bridge, 0800 hours--[/i]
At 0800 Felix entered the bridge and said good morning to all. He was glad that no one was late for their shift. When Wood saw him he immediately got up from his seat.
"Good morning Mr. Wood", Felix said
<Wood>
"Anything new to report?", he asked
<Wood>
"That’s fine"
After he finished the convo with Wood he decided to check on the progress of mr. Greenvalley and cmdr. Laika.

After ending the convo, Felix activated the pad on his chair and was going over the reports from last night.

As J’Leera and Mr. Greenvalley were finishing their calculations, they received a message from the bridge.
=/\=Savali to Cmdr. Laika=/\=
“J’Leera here,” she quickly responded, putting her work down for the moment.
=/\=What’s the status with your project=/\=
”We’re nearly ready, sir. We should have all the necessary preparations finished by later this afternoon. Then we’ll be ready to start analysis on the pulsar.”
=/\=I see=/\=
”So far, everything seems to be going as scheduled,” she continued. “And I must say that this mission is progressing surprisingly well considering the last two that I’ve been on. Mr. Greenvalley’s device shouldn’t interfere with the ship’s normal operations.”
=/\=Make sure you send me the report when you are finished, and also the proposal on where you would like to attach the device=/\=
”Of course,” she answered. “Engineering sent up a diagram of the most ideal location for the device early this normal. As soon as we hammer out the details, I’ll have the report sent up immediately.”
=/\=That will be fine, Savali out=/\=
“So, how far are you on that report?” J’Leera asked Mr. Greenvalley.
“I’m almost finished with it,” he picked up his PADD and showed it to her. “It’ll be done just as soon as calculations are completed.”
“Oh, and here’s Fitzpatrick’s report right here,” she picked up another PADD. “I’ll get to work on this one while you finish the first report.”
“Agreed,” he said and the two went back to work.
A few hours later, both reports were finished and J’Leera had Ensign Holman bring the them up to the Captain to read. On the reports, J’Leera had asked if the Captain wished to make any recommendations on their course of action as they neared the star.

***The night of the party***
Wood smiled, "Yes, so they say. Honestly, I'm much more comfortable as an ops officer." Wood laughed. "But that's just cause i can get along with relays quite well. But it's the idea that I have the Tiger Shark at my command this night shift that really gets my adrenaline going, so if you don't mind." With a mocking menacing smile, Wood scooped some potatoes on his plate.
The rest of the night was great, it felt like the ice was finally broken, and the senior staff finally got used to each other's presence. Wood, however, left early, just a minute after Luke. The night shift was calling.
"Happy commanding!" J'Leera wished Wood when he left the quarters.
***The next day***
The sound of the bridge equipment had a strange echo in Wood's ears, while he was trying to fight boredom and tiredness, when Savali entered.
"Morning sir, had a good night?" "Yes, yes. Slept like a charm." Savali barely suppresse a chuckle...
"Yes, sir. We will be arriving at the star later than we predicted. The navigational system had several hick-ups, so we had to reduce warp for a few diagnostics. We'll get there at 0700 tomorrow."
OFF: Don't arrive at the star before I post tomorrow plz..

As Luke piloted the Tiger Shark towards its destination he felt his eyes droop again. Perhaps he would go see Buster and get something to help him sleep, he didn't want to make any mistakes.
His console bleeped at him.
"Not again" Luke muttered.
"Commander Savali Im going to have to drop out of warp and initiate a full stop." Luke reporeted to Felix.
"Explain Cmdr." Savali said.
Luke looked at him quizzicaly.
"You were promoted yesterday, Can we please focus on the problem at hand?" Savali said.
Luke smiled despite himself. Promotion, it always felt good. "The navigational systems have been expereincing some difficulties repeatedly. In the past day Ive had to go through the entire system twice. I am worried that theres something im missing and if thats the case a malfunctioning nav system could cost us our lives."
"Right. Find that problem Mister Dowding. I want a full report as soon as possible."
"Aye Sir." Luke said as he dropped the Tiger Shark out of Warp and initiated nav shutdown. He would find the problem.
"Dowding to Lasel and Bower."
=^= Bower here Sir. =^=
=^= Lasel here. =^=
"You two meet me in Astrometrics in 10 minutes. We've got a lot of work to do."
