CMDRfc Disasterman was sitting on the bridge waiting for his shift to end. He had gotten bored for some reason during this shift. It didn't help the matters that they were still docked at Starbase Bellicose, but he had volunteered to take extra shift to allow some of the other bridge officers extra time to spend on leave.
"Priority message coming in for you Commander," said Ensign Morgan.
"Thank you, Ensign. I will take it in the Admiral's Ready Room."
Disasterman left the bridge and entered the Ready Room to take the message that was coming in. To his surprise it was from the Admiral himself.
"Commander, I need you to take the Tulip out for some engine tests. The slipstream is still being worked on so just use the normal engines," said FA Elron
"Aye sir. Will you not be joining us on this test?
"No, I have some things I need to take care of here on the station. Besides you are perfectly capable to do this on your own and you have a great crew. Plus this will give you a chance to see how the new crew members are before I come back and we head off into the unknown again. Besides, I hear that Commodore ONE is on board. If you run into any problems, he can help you."
"I wasn't questioning my abilities since I have taken the Tulip out for test run before, plus I was the Captain of the ship a long time ago. I was just asking since usually you were on board to oversee the tests. I will call back the crew and get started right away."
"Good luck, Commander. Elron out."
With that, Disasterman returned to the bridge and told Ensign Morgan to contact all the crew that was still on the station and have them return to the ship. Even tho this was just a set of engine test runs, they were going to be run with full crew and as if they were heading on a mission.
"Senior staff please report to your stations. Commodore ONE, you may join us if you so choose."
The bridge slowly filled with the senior officers. After everyone was in place, the Commander sat in the Captain''s chair and said, "Commander Saberwyn, please take us out."
With that command, Bema Saberwyn slowly backed the Tulip out of it's dock at the starbase and headed out into the vastness of space.

Angel was resting in her quarters when she heard the announcement. It had been some day, and she was ready to relax. Unfortunately now wasn't the time for this. She got up and put her boots and the tunic part of her uniform back on, and left heading for the bridge.
She entered the turbolift, and noticed it wasn't empty this time. There were several people in it, and she guessed they were heading for the same destination she was. She squeezed into it, and noticed a couple of people looking at her. She didn't return the stares, but ignored them instead. ~What, haven't they seen new members of the crew before? I didn't forget to wipe diner away from my lips earlier, did I? Is there something wrong with the way I look?~ She thought, and decided best to keep quiet.
Finally they arrived to the bridge, and she moved forward quickly so as not to be squished. She moved to her new station, and saw that it had been cleaned up nicely. She could see no evidence of a sandwich ever touching the station, and she was happy to see that. She hit a few buttons to see what was needed of her while here. She noticed a few messages, and wondered where that sandwich loving idiot had disappeared to. She noted that there was no one here when she came to take the station over.
She didn't like what was going on here, and decided to have a meeting with the rest of the ops team. Right now she turned to her task, reading each message and giving the necessary stations the power they needed. Right now there weren't many messages, and she sorted through them quickly, giving helm and engineering the power they needed to get underway.
She looked to see how the station was set up, and remembered a few advanced ways of saving power. She started to set up the couple of ways she remembered being talked about. She often listened when Admiral Kim talked to her about saving power. She loved his class at the academy, and was always eager to see what he would teach her. She always read up on what he was teaching, and showed off at every turn.
~The first way to save power is to create a power web. Loop the little areas that don't need a lot of power to run. You then net certain systems into each other, that way a lot of power isn't used to run both of them. Be careful of which systems you net together.~ She thought quoting the textbook in her mind as she had memorized it. Admiral Kim had written their textbook, and she had taken a lot of time memorizing her texts. She wanted to be prepared for anything that might come at her.
She shook off her past, actually the future, and brought herself to the present. She needed to concentrate on what she was doing, or she might fry a couple of systems.

Singh had spent a fair part of the last few days making sure he knew the engineering staff and they knew him. It was difficult at first to explain to various officers why he was now CEO and not one of them, but eventually they accepted that due to the unusual drive of the Tulip his qualifications were more fitting than theirs for the general job. He was however willing to allow them free reign with the practical side of things since he was better at the theory than the practice. So long as the ship continued running as close to optimum as possible, Singh wasn't too bothered how it was done since these people had been doing it for a long time now.
The engines were humming well for the test run. Both warp and slipstream were capable of running as well as possible, although the common problems of running two seperate systems on the same function remained. All the problems which came from using impulse and warp to begin with were here again with the difference that there was much less practice in coping with it. Not many people realised the statement 'maximum efficiency' actually meant 'maximum possible efficiency' and was actually much lower than people thought.
'Senior staff please report to your stations.' came the announcement over the ship's comm. Singh didn't really have a station beyond the engine room, but he did his best to report to it anyway. 'We're pulling out in a minute, people' he called across the room. 'Watch the engines on the startup and all. You know what you do' Singh pulled a panel off under one console and plugged his pocket device into it. It gave him the readout for the various power levels and efficiency ratings. All that was needed now was for the ship to start moving. The thrusters for taking them out of dock would not need watching, but after that would come the first of any problems that were going to occur.

OOC: Sorry for the delay, it took me a while to write this post.
IC: Personal Log: Stardate 920405.6 Well Katherine and I have officially been married for two full years. I managed to find an Elanian Singer Stone as an anniversary gift for Katherine, I'll give it to her when we go to dinner tonight, after my shift ends at 1900 hours, oh and I will need to thank the Chef for hand making the lasagna and cannoli we will be eating tonight.
Several hours later Bema was sitting at his station moving the ship out of its dock at 1/4 impulse, despite protests coming from Stabase Control. After he cleared the main doors of Starbase Bellicose, he accelerated to full impulse. "We are free and clear to navigate. Course heading sir?" Bema said as he turned to face Commander Disasterman. "Set course heading 836 mark 281 speed warp 8 and try not make anyone else mad Mr. Saberwyn," the FO said with a bit of a smirk. It had been a while since Bema had to rely on just the warp drive. "Aye sir," he acknowledged as he returned to facing his console. He started thinking about the singer stone he had found for Katherine. 3 hours until I can give this to her, Bema thought as he looked at the time display on the Navigations console. "Commander Saberwyn is there a reason you keep looking at the clock?" Commodore ONE asked with a hint of amusement. "Today is my second wedding anniversary Commodore. I am waiting for my shift to end at 1830 hours, for a 1900 hour dinner with Katherine," Bema replied without looking to see the smile on the former FO's face. "Did you remember to get her a gift?" Commander Disasterman asked now also smiling. "Yes sir. I got her an Elanian Singer Stone," the CNO replied. [Tag:ONE, Disasterman]
At 1900 hours Bema sat in Katherine's and his quarters. Candles were the only source of illumination in the room, a bottle of of wine and two wine glasses were sitting on the table next to two plates of lasagna and a dish of cannoli. Bema stood at the doorway in casual clothing waiting for Katherine to return from a little holodeck time with Jaclyn, with a dozen Lilies of the Valley. Kate walked in and was nearly floored by the sight of her husband holding her favorite flowers. She was even more surprised when she walked in to find dinner was a meal her grandmother had made for her and her brother James, when she was a child. "Happy anniversary Mrs. Saberwyn," Bema said as he placed the singer stone in one hand and the bouquet in the other. Katherine replied by giving Bema a very passionate kiss. "This looks like the stone Nana owned," Katherine commented. Bema nodded as they sat down at the table. The evening went well for twenty minutes. "Uh oh," Katherine said as she set her fork down. "What is it?" Bema asked looking worried. "I think my water just broke," she replied. "Ok, this is not a problem. This is not a problem," Bema said as he tapped his commbadge. =/\=Saberwyn to sickbay.=/\= =/\= Butari here. Go ahead Commander=/\= =/\=Katherine's water just broke.=/\= [Tag: Dr. Butari.]

(OFF: Kayleighs last name is NOT Burati, It’s Butari)
Kayleigh had spent a short time getting to know her way around the Black Tulip before retiring to her quarters to unpack and then report back to sickbay and duty. She’d just walked in when the comm. in sickbay blipped and the voice of Lt. Cmdr. Saberwyn was heard.
=/\= Saberwyn to sickbay.=/\=
She tapped her combadge and responded.
=/\= Ensign Butari here. Go ahead Commander =/\=
A smile crossed her face as she heard his response.
=/\= Katherine's water just broke =/\=
She picked up a nearby medkit and tapped her combadge again.
=/\= I’m on my way Sir. =/\=
Kayleigh activated Holi and explained the situation, grabbing one of the other medics in case they had to move Katie. “Let’s go.” she said as the two made their way out of sickbay and towards the Lt. Cmdrs. Quarters.

Elron was sitting in the Command Centre of Starbase Bellicose catching up on some vital fleet management issues. He'd been neglecting them somewhat during his deep-space assignments on the Black Tulip, so now he was forced to take some time away from the ship. As well as the tedious but compulsory logistical issues, there was a considerable amount of material from the Brunel Propulsion Institute which required his attention. "Tell the USS Raven to keep us informed on the status of the New London colony, and let me know as soon as Commodore Sonak is back at her post," Elron said to the aide sitting next to him. Elron had several personal aides assigned to him from the offices of Fleet Commander and Personnel Officer, but he refused to take them with him on the Tulip. He often worked with them when he was on Bellicose, however, and had called on two of them to help him work through today's workload. "Aye, sir. The USS Darwin requests a liaison with the Second Fleet while they conduct some field research in the Persei sector.""Tell them they have our full support and can contact the starbase if they need further resources."The starbase Command Centre was considerably larger and more luxurious than the bridge of a starship, and had many different areas for the various aspects of starbase operation. They were all within hearing distance of each other though, and Elron couldn't help overhearing the docking co-ordinator as he desperately instructed the USS Black to reduce her speed. "Bellicose to starship Black Tulip, reduce speed to at least 500 m/s immediately! You're travelling far too fast!""Say again, Control? I didn't copy that," the CNO responded innocently. Within a couple of seconds though, they'd cleared the Starbase and were on their way. Elron grinned. He knew he shouldn't allow his crew to get away with such things, but he also knew there was no real danger. The aide seemed mildly disconcerted, but returned quickly to the task at hand. "Admiral Nova's requested an update on the fleet's status from you. Whenever you get the chance, he said.""Dammit," cursed Elron quietly, "I haven't submitted this month's report yet. No wonder he's asking for it. Tell him I'll get onto it as soon as I can." Elron now turned his attention to the Brunel files. Apparently they'd been working on a new form of matrix compositing for the quantum epitaxial hull plating. There was also some new data on how to calculate the slipstream coefficient perturbations to higher orders of magnitude. "Paul, forward this on to Acting Ensign Singh on the Tulip. He may find it interesting.""Aye, sir. Shall I keep you updated on how their run goes?""Yes, please do, but don't worry if they don't report in for a while. I don't want anyone hasseling them for updates unless it's me.""Understood," the Commander replied with a smile. Elron hoped he wouldn't have to spend all day up here with the two aides, but knew that the Tulip was in safe hands until he could get away. OOC: Good luck, guys! I'll drop in from time to time if I can, just to keep things interesting, but I might use one of my NPCs from the Science Dept.

After helping Katherine onto the sofa, Ensign Butari arrived. "Contractions are fifteen seconds apart. They started shortly I contacted you," Bema commented as the medical officer started scanning Katherine with a tricorder.

Kayleigh scanned Katie with the tricorder, while the medic pulled Lt. Cmdr. Saberwyn aside to talk to him. A minute later she looked up as the two talked having finished her scans.
“Sir, we have to move her to sickbay.”
<tag Lt. Cmdr. Saberwyn>
She tapped her combadge and ordered the waiting stretcher to be brought to the Lt. Cmdrs. quarters. She knew that after she left sickbay would be preparing for her.
=/\= Please send a stretcher to Lt. Cmdr. Saberwyns quarters. =/\=
A response came a second later.
=/\= On our way Ensign. =/\=
She turned towards the Lt. Cmdr. Again. “You’re more than welcome to come with us Sir.” she said as she helped the medic prepare Katie for the transfer.

A minute later the stretcher arrived and once Katie was on the stretcher the group headed back towards sickbay. Her vitals were stable and the contractions steady. Neither her nor the baby were in distress and Kayleigh was pleased.

Angel had been working hard for the last little while, and was happy to see her power web thrive. She knew this was what was needed, and hoped she wasn't revolutionizing things in this time. She didn't want anyone to realize when she was from, and did her best to hide everything she did. She made sure to put the web she made behind a few systems to make sure no one found it, and she put it where only her access code would be able to access it. She knew that wouldn't keep those higher in rank from finding it, but the rest of the Ops team wouldn't be able to.
She was satisfied with just having the power web, and knew she shouldn't try anything else. She didn't wish to risk anything, and knew that Lt. Harry Kim was the founder of such a thing. If it was found sooner than when he discovered how to make it, then the future could be jeopardized, and she didn't want to tamper with anything like that. She might erase a few of her memories, and she was afriad to do that. She didn't want to not exist, or to remember things differently. She knew she had to be very careful, and did her best to not change any more of her station, even if it was for the better.
She hadn't noticed the rest of the bridge, and found it best to continue to watch the power levels. She knew they wouldn't spike on her, not with the web in place, and she tried her best to look busy. She knew with everything in place that there was nothing to fear.
She looked forward to this new mission, and to a new start with this crew. She felt really good, and hoped things would work out for her. Suddenly she started to think of Jason, and she found she really missed him. She thought about sending him a message, but decided now was not a good time to compose it. She had work to do, and tried to stay focused on that, and that alone.

(Sorry I got bored waiting)
Kayleigh and the group arrived at sickbay and Katie was spirited away to one of the private rooms where she would be made comfortable. One of the medics took Lt. Cmdr. Saberwyn aside and helped him prepare to be present at the birth of the child.
Kayleigh filled Holi in with the developments and stepped into the office to fill out the reports letting Holi handle Katie for now. She settled in the chair behind the desk and propped up her bum leg. She tapped the console and began writing up her first report of the shift.

OOC: My appologies for not replying sooner. I've been rather busy. IC: As the new medical officer started scanning Katherine, Bema started talking with the other medic she was with. A minute later Ensign Butari looked up as the two talked having finished her scans.
“Sir, we have to move her to sickbay.”
"Go ahead."
She tapped her combadge and ordered the waiting stretcher to be brought to the Lt. Cmdr's. quarters. She knew that after she left sickbay would be preparing for her.
=/\= Please send a stretcher to Lt. Cmdr. Saberwyn's quarters. =/\=

She turned towards the Lt. Cmdr. Again. “You’re more than welcome to come with us Sir.” she said as she helped the medic prepare Katie for the transfer. "I will come with you, these are our children she's carrying," Bema said with a slight smile.
A minute later the stretcher arrived and once Katherine was on the stretcher the group headed back towards sickbay. Her vitals were stable and the contractions steady. Neither her nor the babies were in distress and Kayleigh was pleased as they headed for sickbay. "You're doing great, Kate. We are almost at sickbay," the CNO commented cheerfully. "Bema if I weren't in this much pain right now, I would so hurt you," she almost shouted. Bema threw a questioning look at Dr. Butari. "Hormones," she replied with a smirk. Kayleigh and the group arrived at sickbay and Kate was spirited away to one of the private rooms where she would be made comfortable. One of the medics took Bema aside and helped him prepare to be present at the birth of the child.
Kayleigh filled Holi in with the developments and stepped into the office to fill out the reports letting Holi handle Katherine for now. Bema was just abou to rejoin his wife when his commbadge went off. =/\=Bridge to Commander Saberwyn.=/\= Bema sighed and tapped his commbadge. =/\=Saberwyn here Commander Disasterman. What can I do for you?=/\= =/\=Your prescence is requried on the bridge.=/\= =/\=Acknowledged. I'll be right up.=/\= Bema closed the channel and turned to the medic. "Please tell Holi and Kate I was summoned to the bridge. I'll be back as soon as I can," Bema said as he headed for the door. He quickly returned to his quarters to change back into his uniform. Within a few minutes he was on the bridge. "Sorry for the delay. Katherine went into labour as we were eating," Bema commented as he headed for his usual station. [Tag: bridge crew] But this time Commander Disasterman stopped him. "Not navigations this time Commander. Since Admiral Elron is not here, I am in command and I need you as my first officer," the acting CO said with a seriousness, but still managing to convey his pleasure at saying this news. Bema was quick follow the order and he took his place where the commander would usualy be. Commander Paris checked her sensor readouts and spoke aloud. "Sir we are approaching an 'M' class planet. There is a distress call originating from the northern continent," she said to Disasterman. "What type of signal is being emmited?" Commodore ONE asked. "I think it is a borg signal," she replied. "Lifesigns?" Bema chimed in. [Tag:Commander Paris.] "If they have been severed from the Collective, I can be of some assitance to them," Commodore ONE commented. "I'll lead the away team, if that's all right Commodore and we'll render aid if needed. Commander Saberwyn you have the bridge untill we return," the CmdrFC. said as he and Commodore ONE rose and headed for the turbolift. Bema was about to protset this choice until he realized that he was in command of the ship. He moved to the captain's chair and sat down. [Tag:Commander Disasterman]

[Sickbay]
Kayleigh worked for the next twenty minutes working on reports. She could hear the chatter coming from the main section of sickbay and relaxed. Katie was in good hands with Holi and she knew it.
Finally the last report was finished and she stood, heading for the room where they had placed Katie. As she reached the door she knew that time was getting close. She stepped into the room and moved to the side of the bed, relieving one of the medics who stood there. Holi stood on the other side, overseeing the delivery.

"There are several of them, not all Borg though. It looks like a conference, but then again, who knows?" She said, and remembered this stardate. ~Oh no, not this one! Of all the times I get to come back and see events, it has to be this one! This is going to be a bumpy ride!~ She thought as she remembered this event very avidly. She never did like what happened here, and she wished she could change history. She knew better though, and realized the importance of this needing to take place.
She didn't like it, and remembered to keep her lips zipped about what she knew. She needed not to tamper with anything, and decided now was a good time to take a silent temporal oath.
~I, Angel Paris, swear to uphold the time line. I will allow events to happen as they did in my past without messing them up. I will help only in what I should be doing, being an officer of the Federation. I must play dumb in all that I do here when it comes to history.~ She thought, and was happy with this. She couldn't let anyone know what had happened to her, and then a thought hit her. All they had to do was scan her, and it was all over.
She knew she couldn't get hurt, she couldn't allow herself to. It was too much of a risk, and then she realized she would have to dodge medical evaluations altogether. That was going to be such a challenge, but she thought she could pull it off. She pushed these thoughts from her mind.
Suddenly she heard something, and realized it was the borg collective. She didn't like hearing this again, and had hoped that the implant wouldn't start acting like that. Unfortunately it had picked up what the collective was saying, and she found it a bit strange. She ignored it not wanting anyone to realize she had a borg implant, and an important one too. She looked like a normal officer for now, and she liked that appearance. She then thought of what pranks she pulled and such, and realized she wasn't completely normal, but it would do. She couldn't help but smile as she remembered the surprise on a certain admiral's face, or the revenge that happned with a certain first officer. She was having fun, and she didn't want anyone to question her on every act that was happening, on anything that was to be their future.
She had a lot on her mind, but she remembered to continue to answer the calls of her duty. She had a few messages, and suddenly there was a distress call.
"Sir, we are picking up a distress call, a couple of light years from here," she said, and patched it through immediately not needing to be told. Static came out upon the speakers before anything else.
=^=...anyone out....we nee.... Hello? Please..... immediately.... repeat.... Is.... out..... assistance.....=^=
She started to work fast on clearing up the static. She knew if she applied a standard scratch and resistance manuver they would have a good portion of the static cleaned up. It only took a minute, and she wanted to play it again, but there was still static.
She looked at how it was being sent, and almost kicked herself. She knew it was from a relay becon, they were sending the message through a probe. She used the probes relay and dissolved the rest of the static in a very old manuver she had come up with in class. ~Although in this time, it will be a very new manuver.~ She thought, and played the message again, without the static.
=^=Is there anyone out there? We have had quite an experience with this place, and we need some assistance. It wasn't pretty, and the star near here collapsed, we are not sure if it did it on its own. Hello? Please respond immediately. I repeat, Is anyone out there near us? We require some assistance.=^=
She did a quick scan, realizing he would want to know where this was coming from. She saw where it was, and almost gasped. She kept her lips pressed firmly together not letting it out. She couldn't let on. She couldn't believe she was going to see this with her own eyes!
"Where is that coming from, Paris?" She barely heard the question, and she turned a little red.
"Sir, it is coming from the... a nearby neubla. About a lightyear from us," she reported, and caught herself as she almost gave the future name of the nebula. ~Good one girl, tell them the name of it. After all, it isn't name for a good twenty years yet.~ She thought, and realized she would have to try harder not to let on about what she knew.

After hearing the news about a Borg distress call coming from the planet, CMDRfc Disasterman became a little worried about what they may be getting into.
"If they have been severed from the Collective, I can be of some assistance to them," Commodore ONE commented.
"I'll lead the away team, if that's all right Commodore and we'll render aid if needed. Commander Saberwyn you have the bridge until we return," Disasterman said as he and Commodore ONE rose and headed for the turbolift.
The two men discussed who else should go with them on the mission as the turbolift took them to their final destination, the transporter room. They decided on a couple members of both the marines and the security detail. After contacting the men who would be accompanying them, they prepared to head to the surface. After getting a couple tricorders and everyone arming themselves with phaser and plasma rifles, the team got onto the transporter pad to go to the surface. Watching the readings of the tricorders carefully, the team moved slowly thru the trees toward the crash site.
The group stopped about 100 feet from the site and began a detailed scan of the site. No survivors were detected, but being Borg, this could be misleading. Disasterman signaled for the marines to approach the site to check it out before the rest moved in.

"There are several of them, not all Borg though. It looks like a conference, but then again, who knows?" Commander Paris said. Bema nodded and stood from the chair. "Notify Commander Disasterman that there may be lifeforms that are not Borg down there," Bema said as he half turned to Lieutenant J'Ka "Sir, we are picking up a distress call, a couple of light years from here," she said, and patched it through immediately not needing to be told as Bem areturned to the CO's chair. Static came out upon the speakers before anything else. =/\=...anyone out....we nee.... Hello? Please..... immediately.... repeat.... Is.... out..... assistance.....=/\= Bema looked at Commander Paris to clear the transmission, however it looked like she was already on it. It took her a few minutes but she managed to clear it up with out a hitch. She than replayed the message that was now clear. Currious, I'll have to ask he how she did that later on, he thought as the message replayed. =/\=Is there anyone out there? We have had quite an experience with this place, and we need some assistance. It wasn't pretty, and the star near here collapsed, we are not sure if it did it on its own. Hello? Please respond immediately. I repeat, Is anyone out there near us? We require some assistance.=/\= "Where is that coming from, Paris?" Bema asked. He noticed the COO turned a little red, he was about to question it when she replied. "Sir, it is coming from the... a nearby neubla. About a lightyear from us," she reported, "Open a channel," he replied. Commander Paris nodded. "This is the Federation starship Black Tulip, we are just outside the nebula, we will be there soon," Bema commented in a clear voice. "Ensign Johnson lay in a pursuit course and engage at Warp 5," the CNO said in his 'command voice'. The female ensign was quick to comply with his order, and within a few seconds they were at the peremiter of the nebula. "Drop to impulse Ensign. Commander Paris locate the source of the distress signal and send the co-ordinates to Ensign Johnson. As soon as you have located the ship close to within transporter range and notify sickbay we may have incoming wounded. Beam any survivours to sickbay," the Lieutenant Commander ordered in a calm voice. [Tag:Comander Paris] As soon as the survivours were aboard Ensign Singh spoke up. "Commander I am detecting a strange energy surge," Shingh said. "Source?" Bema asked as he stood and walked up to the engineering station. "I am not sure sir. I don't recognize the energy pattern," the CEO replied. "I've seen this before. Where did I .... oh no," Bema suddenly stood upright. "Lieutenant J'Ka raise shields. Ensign get us out of here full impluse," Bema commented as he quickly moved back to the Captain's chair. Before Rebecca could comply, the bridge screen showed a ship decloak. "Is that a Romulan ship?" Ensign Singh asked. "No Ensign. It is a pirate battleship one that the Tulip last dealt with on stardate 900517.5," Bema replied. "We are being hailed," Lieutenant J'Ka said. "On screen," Bema quickly replied. The face of Olgran Giesbaa appeared, the face had been scarred in the last two years but he was still recognizable. "Unidentified starship this is Commodore Giesbaa of the Terran Battleship Destructor. You have entered space annexed by my followers, you have two hours to withdraw or you will be destroyed," he said before the screen went blank. "Commander Paris, Ensign Singh and 2nd Lieutenant J'Ka please report to Briefing Room 1 immeadatley, I will join you in a few minutes to give you a full briefing. Ensign Johnson please get Lieutenant Commander Goodspeed and Ensign Butari to also join us there," Bema replied. Fifteen minutes later Bema finished the briefing on Commodore Giesbaa. He looked at each person before he proceeded. "Recomendations?" he asked as he sat at the head of the breifing table. [Tag:Commander Paris, Ensign Singh, 2nd Lieutenant J'Ka, and Ensign Butari.] OOC: For those new officers on the ship, Olgran Giesbaa was a S47 cadet who stole a shuttlepod. Since then the character has become an NPC and kidnapped a Starfleet Admiral, after joining a pirate crew and killing the captain. The following link is an account of his last encounter with the USS Black Tulip. It woule be beneficial if you read from the twentith post(pg1) until the end of the first paragraph on post 46(pg2) section47.proboards18.com/index.cgi?action=display&board=mission&thread=1082306582

{Sickbay}
Sickbay seemed to grow silent as Katies delivery continued, seeming to have reached a lull which sent the nurses and others, including Kayleigh scurrying for something to do. Things would speed up soon enough she thought as she moved out into main sickbay and began restocking supplies. Kayleigh knew that labor could last hours and there wasn’t much for her to do so she kept herself busy but close in case she was needed again.
<tag anyone, find a way to drag Kayleigh into the mission please>

Angel moved quickly to do as she was told. She found out exactly where in the nebula the ship was located, even though she knew what was going on. She didn't want to change anything, to risk changing the future was too much a risk. Angel sent two messages out, one to navigations with the coordinates, the second to sickbay informing them of the incoming causalties.
Angel continued to watch the events unfold as she worked at her station. She knew this was a bad day to be here, but she also knew there was nothing she could do, not unless she wanted to change history.
She left her station and headed for the briefing room. Angel listened to the briefing, and was not puzzled in the least bit. She wanted to tell them what they needed to do, but she remembered it wasn't anyone with her name in the history books for this. She needed to play dumb, and now was the best time for this.
"Maybe we can fool their sensors and use the nebula to hide ourselves until we find that ship. We can then rescue them, and get them to safety somehow," Angel said, sounding as if she questioned even her own logic in this. She wasn't sure this would work, and didn't even remember anything about this part. She wanted to kick herself for not memorizing her history book as she should have.

The presence of the Romulanish ship was apparently not wholly unexpected to some of the longer serving crew. Singh wondered what the history of the ship had been that they had met the thing before. It would make interesting bedtime reading, but right now there was a briefing to go to.
A while later, the reading session had been prematurely terminated by the explaination. 'Recommendations?' Saberwyn asked After a vague suggestion by Paris about fooling sensors, Singh suggested a slightly less risky option. 'If we try to fool them, we stand a good chance of being spotted. Hell, they'd spot us at impulse using radar if they had it. Any sensor using reflection is impossible to fool without heavy modification or honeycomb paint and as a Romulan ship, they'd probably have tachyon sensors which do just that for spotting cloak. I suggest either we ask them if we can continue our mission under their supervision or explain what we are here for and hope for the best. There is bad history between the ships, but nobody is wholly evil and if they refuse, we know there's something they want there too.' 'And what if they do refuse?' Saberwyn asked, possibly seeing what might be Singh's suggestion before he made it. 'In that case, I suggest we make them chase us as far as possible, turn round, activate slipstream and use the speed for a headstart enough to at least see what is there and pick up anybody still alive. Sod the wreckage, people are our first concern' <Saberwyn>

Sod the wreckage, people are our first concern." "There are problems with your three suggestions. One problem is the slipstream is being worked on, which is why we are using the warp drive. Two is that your are assuming Commodore Giessba isn't after us and a humanitarian. Remember Ensign he tried to destroy his ship two years ago. Finally I know he doesn't trust Federation starships. He said that this place has been annexed by his people, he's also territorial," Bema said resting his hands on the table. Bema stood from his chair. "We have an opportunity here to bring one of the Federation's most dangerous terrorists to justice. The potential gain outweighs the potential loss, therefore we are going to arrest Mr. Giesbaa. The plan I have is to send in a Marine team to extract the commodore from his ship," Bema said as he stood behind Ensign Butari. "What about the shields on both ships and his little fighter squadron?" Ensign Singh asked. "For the shields we will use an antimatter spread to mask us dropping our shields. Simultaneously we will fire tachyon bursts into his shield grid, which will destabilize his shield harmonics. As for his fighters, Lieutenant Commander Goodspeed has that answer," Saberwyn said as he moved back to the head of the table. "For three years Lieutenant Commander Saberwyn has been running Air Combat Maneuvering drills with the shuttlecraft and his Navigations officers. We will engage the enemy fighters to draw them away from the mothership," Jaclyn spoke up as all eyes turned to her. "Now if there are no further objections. Lieutenant J'Ka prepare your men for an extraction. Commander Goodspeed ready the shuttles. As for the rest of you make whatever preparations are needed to be ready for an altercation with Commodore Giesbaa. Dismissed," Bema said resuming his seat. As the group filed out, Bema spoke again. "Ensign Butari please remain," he asked as he rose again. When only the new medical officer remained Bema spoke again. "What is Katherine's status?" he asked. [Tag: Butari] "If things start to go badly with this plan I want Holi and you to get Katherine off this ship and out of danger," Bema ordered firmly. He stood and waited for a reply. [Tag: All]

Angel sat back and watched history in the making. She knew her suggestion would be thrown aside, and that is why she commented like that. She wanted them to come up with something without her helping too much.
Future girl heard the plan, and when dismissed she headed off to her station. She noticed no one had tampered with what she had done, and she was glad she had set it up where they couldn't find it very well. She looked over her station, and found it in order just as it should be.
Angel started to prep for what was going to happen. She knew several stations would need power for this, and she made sure they had it. She noticed the reserves hadn't even been tapped yet, and she was glad the web was working.
Angel noticed several things going on at the different stations, and wondered if this was how it was every time someone made a time jump. She realized there wasn't much of a record for what was going on, and then she remembered reading about something from a Commander Paris.
Angel got excited as she realized it was her record that she had read all those years ago. ~Actually that hasn't even happened yet. History still is in the making, and I am apart of it. I never even realized I was reading my own words. How fascinating and exciting. Should I write it just like I left it? Today is the wrong date though, it will have to be later.~ Angel thought excited about leaving something for her younger self to read.

”Sir, she’s resting comfortably and not in any pain other than the occasional labor pain. There isn’t much we can do except wait it out.” She smiled slightly. “Is this your first child?” she asked. He didn’t reply to her question but continued. "If things start to go badly with this plan I want Holi and you to get Katherine off this ship and out of danger," Bema ordered firmly. He stood and waited for a reply. “I understand Sir.” She wasn’t keen on the idea of abandoning her post but would keep Katherine safe if things were to go badly. “Is there anything else I can do Sir.” She didn’t like being stuck in sickbay but knew that was where her job was. Although inwardly she hoped he had something else for her to do. "Be ready for wounded. When we enter combat with Commodore Giesbaa there is a possibility that we will suffer damage.," he stopped for a moment and thought about what the Doctor asked. "These are our frist children which, is why I want my wife off this ship if Olgran starts to get the upper hand. That'll be all Ensign," Bema said keeping his frim tone insuring she understood the seriousness of the situation. He waited untill she left the room and then called up a log recording. Mission Log:supplementle. Log by Lieutenant Commander Bema Saberwyn. With Admiral Elron on Starbase Bellicose and Commander FC Disasterman replying to a Borg distress call, I have been left in forward command of the Tulip. Katherine has gone into labour meaning I will soon be a father. However these bits of good news are over shadowed by a large bit of sad news. Commodore Olgran Giesbaa has resurfaced, and he's given us a ulltimatem. As a Starfleet officer and having been trained as a Jedi I'm obliged to aresst him, even though he killed my best friend two years ago. 'A Jedi doesn't seek revenge' One hour later. USS Black Tulip bridge. Bema walked onto the bridge from the briefing room. "Report?" he asked as he walked to by the Opperations and Navigations stations. "Shields are still armed, the ship is on yellow alert," Commander Paris replied as she moved to her station.
=/\=Shuttle bay one to the bridge.=/\=
=/\=Bridge here. Go ahead.=/\=
=/\=We are ready here Commander Saberwyn.=/\=
=/\=Acknowledged. Stand-by to launch when I give the signal.=/\=
As soon as that chanel was closed another was open.
=/\=Transporter Room 2 to Bridge.=/\=
=/\=Bridge here. Go ahead.=/\=
=/\=The Marine team is ready down here.=/\=
=/\=Understood. Stand by to transport over when I give you my signal.=/\=
Commander Paris closed the other channel as her console began to beep. "We are being hailed by Giesbaa," she said smoothly. "On screen," Bema commented calmly as he sat in the CO's chair. The sea of stars on the screen was replaced by the Commodore's face. "Federation starship your time is up what is your descision?" the Commodore asked . "This is Lieutenant Commander Bema Saberwyn of the USS Black Tulip. My answer is no. You are officialy under arrest. I order you to stand down and you will be escorted to Starbase Bellicose," Bema replied in a firm voice. "This is what I think of you 'order'," Olgran replied. The tacticle officer looked at his station. "Sir there are six torpedoes coming in," he said. The ship shook as the torpedoes hit the shiled. "This is your only warning Commodore. Is you persist it will mean your capture, the destruction of your fighters and massive damage will be caused to your ship," Bema said raising his voice a little. The screen went blank and the ship shook again. "Red alert, all hands to battle stations," Bema said raising his voice another few decpiles. [OOC: I will be adding to this as sson a I possibily can. Tag: Bridge crew.]

CMDRfc Disasterman and the landing party were slowly working their way to the crash site. After receiving the update about there being possible non-Borg survivors, the party worked harder on getting to the site. The party was within about 50 feet of what they had originally thought was a crash site, but it now appears to be just a landing site. Scanning the area with the tricorders, the party eventually found the cause of the distress signal. What was left of a Borg drone was hanging from a tree. Commodore ONE moved over to the drone and deactivated the signal.
"I can't seem to communicate with any other Drones here. It seems that they all have been destroyed somehow. I have deactivated the signal so hopefully we won't have any others come after these."
The landing party continued searching the area for the life signs that the Tulip had informed them about. Eventually a cave was found and the people were found. After talking with the survivors it was learned that they were the ones that had destroyed the drones. They had taken measures as the drones were "recharging". Several of their friends had been assimilated which made it harder to "kill" those drones. Eventually the ship just landed here on this planet and the survivors had been fending for themselves until the party had arrived. While Disasterman and the party had been listening to the stories of the survivors, ONE had been surveying the Borg sphere. Walking around the outside he finally found a way to access the ship's computer. With a little modifications, he figured that they could get the ship to launch and take it back to Federation space for research.
When ONE entered the cave to talk with Disasterman, the survivors all jumped up to attack him. It took a bit, but Disasterman eventually convinced them that ONE was with him and no threat to them. ONE told Disasterman about his plan to take the ship back to Earth so they can do research on it.
Disasterman thought this was a great idea and asked ONE to start the work needed to be done and told the rest of the landing party to help out any way they could by collecting water and food since they might be there a while. Some of the survivors went out with some of the marines to show them where they collected water and hunted for food. Eventually everyone was working on collecting supplies, the ship, or setting up a camp that would be better accommodations compared to the cave. That night the survivors had the best sleep since being captured by the Borg.

The ship was a flurry of activity as the klaxon began to sound. The Destructor fired another few shots at the Tulip as Bema satin the CO's chair. "Lock in a firing a roatating pattren of phasers, torpedoes, and tachyon bursts. Fire when ready," Bema said to the tactical officer. "Commander Saberwyn dorsal shields down to 35%. Several smaller vessels are launching from the Destructor," Commander Paris commented as her console began to beep. "Understood. Notify Commander Goodspeed and tell her to launch," Bema ordered. "Ensign Gosset execute deffensive pattern Archer-Beta, keeping our bow locked on the Desturctor," Bema yelled as the Science station exploded. [Tag: Commander Paris, Ensign Butari] As soon as the shuttles were away the tactile officer spoke up. "Sir our tachyon bursts are creating a disruption in their shields," he said as the Tulip shook from another volley from the Destructor. "Prepare the antimatter spread and prepare to lower shields. Lock phasers on the weakest areas. Try disabling their weapons, shields, and propulsion," Bema ordered. The ensign acknowledged and moved to obey when his console began beeping. "They are rotating their shield harmonics," the ensign said excitedly. "Fire the spread. Lower our shields," Bema said as he tapped his commbadge. "Bridge to transporter room two. Energize," Bema closed the channel and turned to the tactical station. "Reraise the shields Ensign." All of this happened in a matter of seconds as reports from the transporter room and the tactical station reported that their plans had worked. Commander Paris spoke up over the cheers. "Two of the shuttles have been heavily damaged and I am reading that both pilots are injured. It's Commander Goodspeed and Ensgin Johnson," she said turning to Bema. "Bridge to Transporter Room Three beam the shuttle pilots to sickbay," Bema said with a hint of sadness in his face. [Tag:All]
