~ These are long distance & detailed Star Maps denoting the approximate location of Starbase 47 and the surrounding Sectors ~
~ The red diamond signifies our final location ~
Our new location is shown by the diamond, you can see the dark matter cloud the Starbase has passed through, and the stable wormhole that will be discovered in due course ...
Given what we know of speeds within the Star Trek Universe, I speculated that we would require a distance insurmountable at conventional warp speeds. Given our fastest vessels can sustain warp 9 for 12 hours (requiring a further 12 for cool down) we can go off the stats that the Raven (for eg) can travel 25 light years in 6 days.
It would take approx 2 years: (1 year in total at warp with 1 year total core cool down time) to travel 1,500 Light Years.
Which equates to 20 years travel time if we go on the premise that a vessel sustaining max warp for 12 hours will require a further 12 hrs to ‘cool down’ before going back to their max warp once again, repeating this process throughout their travel back to the Sol system.
Our final destination, once the shock-wave has dissipated, is this:
Omega Centauri (NGC 5139) ::
Location: -- Constellation of Centaurus Distance: -- 15,800 Light Years from Sol System Status: -- 10 million Stars, comprising approximately 4,000 Stellar Masses
*** Please note :: The stable wormhole that can be seen in the right image will not be discovered until approximately two years after arriving at our new location ***
