Commendations
(This section is filled in by the Commendations Officer and/or Biographies Officer)
2403.0602: Star of Excellence (First Award): Lieutenant Junior Grade Simon Clark: The Command Staff of Section 47 recognises Lieutenant JG Simon Clark of the USS Enzio as a worthy recipient of the Star of Excellence award, for his excellent individual post of 27 March 2017
2404.0917: Zefram Cochrane Award: Lieutenant Clark is awarded the Zefram Cochrane Award for displaying excellent mission awareness and for providing additional resources for his vessel the USS Enzio and for Starbase 47.
Reprimands
(None on record)
Family:
Mother: Helen Clark (d. 2399),
Father: George Clark,
Sister: Abigail Watson nee Clark.
Personality [46]
[8] Logical: Talented mathematical, logical abilities: organised, structured, and analytical, remembers formulae
[7] Spacial: Excellent spacial awareness: intuitively visualises complex structures and environments, how mechanisms fit together, and could be modified.
[6] Emotional: Good understanding of emotions of self, and others, and the reasons behind those feelings, helps others to understand. Objectively recognises emotions within himself, (but finds it difficult not to react to those emotions - see Intrapersonal)
[5] Linguistic: Normal linguistic abilities, able to express himself to others, and communicate adequately. Limited knowledge of spoken languages. Uses programming languages regularly.
[5] Musical: Normal musical ability, enjoys playing piano, not especially good at it. Can't read music, plays by ear.
[4] Kinaesthetic: Passable hand-eye coordination, learns better by theory than by doing, not bad at physical pacing, does not always notice how tired, hungry, thirsty he is, or how these things impact on emotional state. Sometimes misjudges his own physical abilities.
[4] Interpersonal: Passable social skills, to recognise and use body language, tone, emotion. Passable team-worker.
[3] Intrapersonal: Poor understanding of own strengths and weaknesses, does not take time to, or reflect well on own actions and experiences. Finds discussions of such to be difficult, and finds it difficult to hear constructive feedback as anything other than criticism. Requires professional support to internalise acute temporal disphoria.
[2] Environmental: Limited survivalist, treats all as similar, does not adapt well to changes, poor intuition for basic needs.
[2] Existential: Limited philosophical or spiritual affinity. Struggles to relate to other's existential perspectives and beliefs.
Personal Record
2388.0902: Joined Starfleet Academy,
2393.0812: Graduated Starfleet Academy, Science Track, second class honours,
2393.1218: First Assignment, USS Hanson NCC 750078 (Intrepid Class, Light Cruiser): A Cadet training vessel serving under Commander Manto, Commander Elal, Captain Konal.
2394.0112: Contracted Drafaria. Held in medically induced stasis for 6.4 years.
2401.0103: Re-joined Starfleet academy, Cadet third class, Engineering track,
2402.0814: Graduated Starfleet Academy, Engineering Track, first class honours,
2402.1211: Assigned to USS Enzio as Chief Engineering Officer (Prometheus Class)
2403.0315: Promoted to Lieutenant Junior Grade upon return from the Galactic Barrier (USS Enzio Mission 8).
2404.0915: Promoted to Lieutenant prior operation to remove quantum spheres from Starbase 47 (Disaster... and Tenacity)
2405.0205: Promoted to Lieutenant Commander prior to USS Enzio Departure (Mission 10)
Medical Summary:
2392.0715-2394.0115: Memory loss period associated with Drafaria infection.
2395.0112: Contracted Drafaria. Neural degradation, loss of memory and body function.
2394.0115-2400.0601: Held in medically induced stasis for 6.4 years.
2400.0616: Cleared of Drafaria infection.
2400.1103: Released from Starfleet Medical.
2403.0203: Serious burn to upper left shoulder, sustained on contact with alien entity.
Medical Report
2402.1211: While on an away mission with USS Hanson, Simon Clark contracted the mutagenic virus Drafaria, which inhibits the function of neurotransmitters in the nerve cells of the brain, causing retrograde amnesia and loss of body function. The virus mimics the function of dendrite receptors in the synaptic cleft, and so was missed by the biofilters of the transporter system. He was rushed into medical suspended animation to limit the progression of the disease, when the nerve degradation started affecting primary organ function. Upon return to Starbase 47, he was transferred to a quarantined laboratory while Starfleet medical researched the possible cures for the disease. The disease's high rate of mutation made isolating the infection difficult, and the stasis was maintained for 6.4 years until effective treatment were effected. Simon lost nearly 18 months of memory to the disease, and spent 6 months in physical and cognitive rehabilitation. Simon is cleared for active duty, there appear to be no lingering cognitive affects except for an 18 month period of memory loss. This is not expected to return with time. Physical ability is slightly below average, particularly hand-eye coordination, expected to return over 12 months from release, with a proscribed exercise regime. Regular counselling recommended to support patient's internalisation of acute temporal dysphoria.
