“Interesting idea,” remarked Dr. Carner. He sounded more like he was trying to prod her along than seriously consider her idea, but when Illito glanced up from the PADD she had been marking notes down on, he was deep in thought. “Yeah,” he muttered, after a while. “Every scenario I can come up either has very similar predicted consequences, or it is obviously going to fail. I don't see that it makes a difference whether we do it by thickening the atmosphere or by mutating plant life.”
Illito nodded. “There are a lot of ways to kill a planet,” she said, agreeing nominally with him.
“I'll work on the data and what we know of Tholians to determine exact ratios of what materials we wish to inject into the atmosphere.”
“Right,” Illito said, idly drumming her fingertips against the edge of the PADD. She understand that she wouldn't be much help in that work, but she didn't want to just wait around for Dr. Carner to finish.
“If you wouldn't mind setting up the basics for a holographic simulation, which we can input the values I find into?”
Maybe she would rather just wait around for Dr. Carner to finish. “Sure!” she answered cheerily, wondering internally how she was going to manage this challenge. “I'll get right on that, then.” She waited for Dr. Carner's acknowledgment before heading out of his office, for one of the holodecks on Assailant. Illito knew next to nothing about holographic simulation. She'd taken a class on the subject, but that hadn't covered much more than integrating the replicator database with that of the holodeck and coding personalities.
Illito would have asked for help, but the people she knew who could help were all busy with their own assignments. So, rather than immediately turning to a stranger to solve her problems, Illito dredged through the data she needed to set up the simulation, and kept trying approaches until something worked. Most of them didn't work, but Illito was making enough progress that she didn't want to call anyone else. After all, this was her job.
When Pride called, Illito was deep in contemplation of whether or not holodecks, being simple mechanical processes, could choose to deliberately make things difficult for specific people, and leaning towards an answer of yes. Perhaps the holodeck didn't actually hate her, but Illito hadn't seen any proof on that side, quite the contrary.
" Illito I'm thinking of taking the alien ship out for a spin. I'm going to be putting it through alot of test. I was hoping that you might have something for Katie to handle the motioin sickness" Illito
“I can prescribe something, but she's going to have to go through Assailant sickbay to actually get it,” Illito said. Her ability to solve simple issues like this had vanished when she'd lost her sickbay. She could still see crewmembers, and perform physicals, just she had to go through Assailant to give out anything. Which made sense, since it was their supplies she'd be giving out.
" I was also wonder if you might be free later on tonight as well for a walk. I want to hear how your day went "
Illito frowned at the holodeck again. “I'm not sure, but I don't think so. I'm not precisely doing well with my task, at present. But I'd love to, if I had a chance. Anyway, I'll let the Assailant sickbay know, and Katie can just drop by there. Be careful, out there,” Illito said. Pride was going out in an alien ship, and she didn't necessarily trust that the ship was safe. Not that asking Pride to be careful would make the situation more safe, but somehow it felt like it did.

When Illito answered he was happy to hear her voice. " Understood I'll have her drop by and get what you ordered. " Lowering his voice alittle " I hope you can get free later I miss you but I understand" he could tell she was worried about him taking the ship out after all it wasn't one of theres. You wouldn't know what it could do and what type of safety warnings it had " Illito dont worry to much I promise to stay safe and not push it to hard. Besides if you do get free I wont want to layed up in sickbay"
Looking over at Kaite when she asked if they would get in trouble " We'll be okay they asked to figure out what happened and to see what we could learn. Well there's no better way to learn then by testing. We''ll take it out through the other side of the star base so the klingons dont pick it up. I'll signal Daya to cover our trail so they dont pick it up, besides the information we'll get will go along way to what they have been up to and how far they have comen in ship advances. "
He could tell Katie was thinking about it " Besides some time off this base would be good for us all. Give us a chance to talk, after all we weren't there with the scavenger and we can compare notes on how they are handling all this. Sometimes not being there is harder then being there. You always ask your self was there something I could have done if I was there" <Tag Katie>

Lex sat alone facing a blank wall with only a chair propped against it. The room itself was dark and damp with a distinct odour which he couldn't place floating about in it. He had been waiting there for several hours, which he was not in the least bit surprised about. He had been called to what remained of Starfleet Headquarters for a very specific reason and he doubted that it was for a catch up.
"Captain, a pleasure as always."
Lex turned in his seat and grimaced. They had sent the one person who had an amazing talent of getting right up his...
"I submit my apologies for my late arrival, things are not going well on the front lines."
Lex nodded his response.
"I am sure you are wondering why it is I have asked you here?"
"Not at all." He replied. "I am fully aware of what you wish to ask me and I of course will not tell you. Surely Command know this?"
"This is no time for one of your games Lex!" The woman yelled, spitting in disgust, her face now centimetres from his. "We are losing this war! The information you hold is vital to the survival of the Federation!"
He laughed, standing up suddently and violently pushing the female Officer to one side. "Did you ever think that maybe the Federation doesn't deserve to survive?! That maybe, just maybe, the noble civilisation that it is, is actually a corrupt and festering parasite on the universe, one that needs to be removed with immediate affect?!"
The woman's mouth dropped in disgust, her eyes shone with disbelief. "That uniform you wear says something different! Every order you give, every decision you make, every life that is lost because of this bloody war is for the sake of the Federation that you so willingly destroy with your words!
"This uniform no longer means a thing!" He yelled, ripping his communicator from his chest and throwing it to the ground. "Everything that we once thought to mean something no longer does! The Universe has become peverse, and we are partly to blame for that. It's time we face up to what we've done and do something about it, not complain about how hard things are for us!"
The woman laughed hysterically. "Not complain?!" She spat. "Not complain about how hard things are?! Have you seen the mortality rates? Heard of the diseases? Learnt of the pain that people endure everyday?!" She began to angrily pace the room. "Do you know what this place once contained?" She asked, gesturing to the walls around her.
Lex shook his head.
"The names of those lost for their Uniform." She said quietly. "And now there are too many names. Now this room is merely a shell, living within a dead, hollow world that we once called home. All lost! All lost because of one small mistake, one thing that could've been changed and now nothing! We are losing this war Lex, now tell me what I need to know and you will be allowed to return to duty!"
"It is not active duty I require Commodore..." Lex turned his back to her and began to walk to the door which would take him away from that place for the last time. "It is the salvation of my soul."
"Are you with us Captain?" The questionnable tone cut through his memories.
"Of course Admiral, I'm sorry, where were we?" He replied.
The situation Luke found himself at that particular time was considerably different to where his mind had taken him moments before. However, it was with similar content. Once more he was being asked for information and once again it was information that he couldn't dislose. Not because he didn't want to, he simply did not have what they wanted of him.
"I believe we are in the same place that we have been since your return."
"Ah yes..." Luke replied, sighing. "There."
"I cannot for the life of me understand why you are not being more co-operative. By answering our questions the commissioning of a new ship will be sped up and you can get out amongst the stars again and out from underneath our feet."
"I have told you all that I can. We had little time in the Mirror Universe before we had to fight for our lives, what their Fleet was doing I couldn't possible say but I think we can all assume that their intentions aren't that of peace." Luke rubbed his eyes and scratched the back of his neck before standing up. "I've filed an official report, so have all of my Senior Staff, there is no more that I can do." ... Hours later Luke emerged from the Office in which he had spent the better part of a day in and groaned audibly, causing a startled look or two from passers by. He trapsed through the decks of the Assailant before arriving at his temporary quarters where he sat with a cup of coffee for a moment or two before setting about the work he could achieve before the end of the day. He reflected back on the day of meetings, barely remembering the first of many with the Klingon CO, which prompted him to check a few things with Parsons via the comm, confirm dinner and ask Commander's Tras and Kirk to his quarters.
Both Officers arrived together which Luke took as a good sign. He hoped it meant that they had at least spent the day together, the mission they were to take part in meant absolute trust in one another was a must.
"Please do take a seat." He said to his quests, pouring two fresh cups of coffee for his Officers and another for himself. "The reason I have asked you here is simple." He said, taking a sip of the piping hot beverage before continuing. "You two are to play a key role in a slightly unconventional mission."
Tras raised an eyebrow, Kirk's expression remained neutral. Luke was sure that his old friend was still harbouring a grudge... Something to be dealt with another time.
"You two are to take a Klingon Shuttle, equipped with cloak, to one of the neighbouring recently colonised Tholian planets where you are to enter the planet's atmosphere and gather all the information you can on the facilities that you find there." He stopped and leant back in his chair, signalling that he had no more to say.
"What do you expect us to find?" Tras asked.
"There is reason to believe that the Tholians are preparing to launch an assault on the Federation as well as the Klingons. This cannot happen. I am not going to go into details, for there is no reason to at this time, but it is absolutely essential that you gather all the information that you can from that planet. Am I understood?" The two nodded and stood to leave. "The Klingon Shuttle is cleared for departure within the next hour, make sure you know how to fly it and cloak it and let's pray that's all you'll need to know. Dismissed."

while he waited for Katie to answer he signaled Commander Daya, after all if anybody could cover for them it was him.
"Commander Daya I'm taking the mirror fighter out to put it through some test. So we can figure away out to combat them. I don't want to draw unwanted attention to us, I was hoping you might make sure that there wouldn't be any from the Klingon ship. I will take off in 20 mins with a 2hr flight time. Can you please make sure they dont pick us up, I'm sure you can cover outdeparture and our return." <Tag Daya>
Looking back at Katie " Well thats the first problem taken care of, katie I know you have concerns but so do I. I need to know something about this fighter if it has what I think it does the federation has a bigger problem then what they know. They only way I can confirm my feelings is by takeing it out" <Tag Katie>

"I can't speak for the Captain, but the plan is for you to remain with the crew and take the position of Chief Navigation Officer. If there is any awkwardness between you and the Captain, do not let it interfere with your duties. I am confident in your abilities and know you will do your job. The fact that the Captain has kept you on this mission shows he feels the same way."
"You will have all the access you need, Commander. If you run into any problems, let me know. Dismissed."
* * *
"I am Captain Lor' Thank you must be commander parsons, commander Daya, and captain hunter" he asked as he stood to greet them. Commander Parsons stepped forward and shook hands with the klingon, who seemed to crush parsons hand in his own, he then walked to hunter, and shook his hand in the same matter. When the captain stopped in front of Daya, he looked him over for a moment, before extending his hand. Daya shook the captain's hand with as much gusto as he was receiving, and it seemed like the two were testing one another's strength. "HAHA, you have a good deal of strength with you, your not part klingon are you?" He asked jokingly, and Daya shook his head, "I am not, unfortunately" The captain smiled heartily and showed them around the bridge quickly. "This is where you will be working with our tactical officer, Lt. Koar I look forward to some of your upgrades." Daya looked over at the console, the Lt. and then back to Parsons and hunter. "get to work?" He asked looking at Parsons.
"Indeed, Gentlemen, Parsons said smiling."
With a nod from the commander, Daya moved over to stand behind Lt. Koar. Commander Parsons took a padd and handed it to Daya before handing one to Hunter. Daya looked over the PADD, "we can start with these, and then work from there later."
Parsons updated the Captain on their progress, and the large officer moved on after slapping Parsons on the back for the weapons upgrade.

As soon as the Klingon Captain turned his attention away, Daya looked down at the console to see that he had received a message, how he managed to get a message he wasnt sure about, but after reading it he had a few questions to ask later.
However, knowing that Pride would need his help, since he had asked for it anyway, Daya figured he would do all he could. Sending a message back to Pride by disguising it with sensor scans, he replied quickly. Pride, i will do my best, just let me know when you are leaving[i/] Daya turned his thoughts back to another PADD that Parson's had handed him, which contained a shield upgrade, he started a slow download and brought up a screen to moniter the progress. Using the progression screen to cover his tracks, Daya brought up a link to the computer mainframe, where he downloaded the plans for the bird of prey they were working on currently. With a wink at Parsons, he brought up the progression screen again and waited until it finished.
Daya looked up as Lt. Koar stood up to stretch patting his stomach with a hearty hand. "Time for lunch" he said as Daya's eyes grew with anticipation. With a nodd from Parsons, Daya got up and followed the Klingon to the mess hall, where he loaded up with all sorts of food, as well as a large glass of Klingon blood wine.

Getting the answer he was hoping for he smiled. Thinking to himself it was nice when your Tatical officer could arrange some cover for you. " Well Katie that takes care of that all we have to do is go for a ride. I'ev already got clearance from Commander Parsons do what ever we need to do. So that just leaves you giving in" Smiling his best smile" and going along with it tatical data is just as importan as the rest right" <Tag Katie>

Katie had gotten her injection to help her with any motion sickness she might get when Pride flys the alien fighter but that didn't settle her feelings about going out in the alien fighter.
The reports she had been reading she knew that somebody might mistake them for an enemy and try and attack them. Katie felt even more worried about it because there were more Klingon ships in the area than normal and they liked to shoot first and then ask questions later.
"Are you ready?" Pride asked.
"As ready as I'll ever be." Katie replied.

Seeing some concerns in Katies face, but happy that she was going through with the mission.
" Okay I'ev already got half of preflight done, if you can call it that its more fingering out what things do. I need you to hook up some kind of power to this." he handed her a black box
" Its a transponder if we are detected on senors we'll show up as a long range shuttle the snow bird. Its in for repairs and I borrewed it from the dock master. Nobody will know differnt at first look unless they do a more detailed scan."
He was still a little nervous his preflight was confirming what he feared. The ship was sime alive a living being of sorts. But until he flew it there was no way to know the extent of the advances that came from his world or at least the mirror one.
" Once we get in the air start engaging the system senors and such. There also a cloak on board I would like to see how that works and what kind of energy drain and signal we give off. I'll take us out to pratice course to test flight abilitys and weapons, It would seem higher ups want to know as well and had the course close to everybody but us. There's a frigate standing by to make sure we done have any unwanted vistors either."
Think for a moment " Kaite I have been holding back information until I can prove it. If I'm right this fighter is at least 10yrs ahead of anything the federation has. Which means it had to come from my world in the mirror universe. If I dont respond right away its because I'm linked to the ship so I might not answer your questions right off the bat. Its been a while since I have flown anything like this. I know how but it takes alot to maintain the link with the ship." <Tag Katie>
Hitting his combadge " I picked something up in sick bay that will allow you to monitor my brain activity. It has a booster attached according to the doctor that will allow you to mointor me. I just need you to study the read outs and give me your thoughts about the strain my brain is under. Dont worry I wont over do it have to much to live for now but your medical look will help" <Tag Illito>

Kirk had received his orders and with Tras in tow made his way to the docked Klingon ship. He never liked Klingon ships, they smelled horrible, they were always too humid for humans and worst of all they always seemed to be sub-standard when it came to shield strength but over compensated when it came to weapons strength.
They two officers walked in near silence the entire way but even though they did not talk did not mean they did not communicate. Kirk could feel the apprehension that he too felt about taking a Klingon vessel into a highly hostile area. It was times like these that he wished he had the USS Defiant at his disposal. Nothing could beat a warship with a cloaking device for dangerous missions such as these.
After a few security checkpoints they entered the shuttlecraft. Kirk waited a few second to let, as he liked to put it, ‘Federation air’ rush into the Klingon shuttle. Not surprisingly as Kirk and Tras sat down at the controls everything was as raw as could be, no creature comforts to be heard of.
“Pre-flight check list please.” Kirk said as he assumed the position of shuttle commander. He did not look for Tras’ expression to this sudden chain of command but after all he was the new Chief Engineer and as far as Kirk knew Tras was just a commander.
“Powering up main engines.” Tras said as he worked his side of the controls.
“Check,” Kirk replied before working his side, “Main computer online.”
“Check,” Tras replied, “Cloaking device powered up.”
“Check,” Kirk said still working the controls, “Course plotted.”
“Check,” Tras said while he finished his side and the last on the list, “Weapons and shields online.”
“Check, and check.” Kirk replied.
Kirk then tapped his combage and opened a channel with the Starbase, “Commander Kirk in Klingon Shuttle Dakota ready for launch, awaiting clearance.”
“Dakota this is Starbase Assailant you are cleared for launch.”
“Thank you Assailant, Dakota out.” With that Kirk piloted the shuttle safely out of Assailant and when they were the proper distance from the Starbase he engaged the re-plotted course and speed. In that one single action the shuttle changed course and quickly went to warp.

After finishing his third helping of a delicious klingon plate, Daya patted his stomach and sighed greatfully, then realized the other klingons were watching him. he heard murmurs in klingon about human not liking their kind of food, and someone said they had never seen anyone eat so much. Daya smiled as he looked at Lt. Koar, "should we get back to work?" he asked before standing up, with Koar behind him, a look of shock on his face.
Daya returned to his work shortly after his meal, and was glad to see that they would be left alone for awhile, or at least there would less people on the bridge for a short time. Daya started to access a few data bases, before finding one that would help him. Remembering where this data base was located, he returned to putting in a quick upgrade, before finding more information. Finally he found what he was looking for, and with a smile he dove right in, only to stop short when he realized it would take days to get all the positions and battle plans for the Klingons, and more for the tholians. Shaking his head, he started downloading piece by piece, and in between he added in a few more upgrades.

Katie listened to Pride as best she could, but it was hard when she felt her heart racing. She hoped that he couldn’t tell how incredible nervous she was.
Katie wondered how Pride was able to talk her into this flight. She knew she would be much more comfortable and more importantly she would be SAFE back aboard the Starbase. She only had data to analysis and joyriding in an alien ship wasn’t her idea of analysis.
The idea that this single ship could be much more advanced than anything the Federation had was a frightening notion. She knew that once Pride was done flying she was going to need to forward all the data to her contact back on Earth.
Katie took one last deep breath and closed her eyes trying to calm her nerves. She knew that Pride was waiting for her to be ready and so after a few seconds of calming breathing she was as ready as could ever be.
“I’m ready when you are.” Katie said.

"Dakota eh?" Tras commented as the Klingon shuttle went to warp, "couldn't you come up with something more Klingon? You do know Klingon ships are male and not female right?" He locked his console to automatic and walked aft of the shuttle to check on their special equipment. "Sensors are operational, and are currently calibrating for operation within the nebula. They should be done in a few minutes."
He walked back to the other side of the shuttle and with a smirk, retrieved two pillows. "Some human comfort," he grinned as he tossed one to the chief engineer, then placed his own on his seat before sitting back down. "Ration pack?" he offered, holding out a silver-wrapped item to Kirk. "I haven't had breakfast yet, I had to shut down the Carolina first, Admiral Lin's orders. I'm sure she's in good hands with the maintenance crew, she's a good ship."
Tras patted his console. "This one'll do but he's no Carolina and certainly no Scavenger. It's sad the Scavenger was destroyed isn't it?" The commander knew he was babbling, but it was more to keep himself occupied until they entered the nebula and got where they ought to be. "So, tell me a little about yourself commander Kirk, while we wait. What makes you tick?"

"Dakota eh?" Tras commented, as the Klingon shuttle went to warp, "couldn't you come up with something more Klingon?”
“I don’t speak Klingon.” Kirk said coldly as he made minor course adjustments.
“You do know Klingon ships are male and not female right?"
Kirk decided not to respond to that question. The assumed sex of a craft was an inconsequential point as far as he saw it. A ship was a ship and a ship’s designation was just that, a designation.
Tras locked his console to automatic and walked aft of the shuttle to check on their special equipment. "Sensors are operational, and are currently calibrating for operation within the nebula. They should be done in a few minutes."
“Acknowledged.” Kirk replied.
While Tras was fumbling around the back Kirk did his best to try and make sure all the important systems were going to be working when they needed them the most. Just as he finished glancing at the console he saw a small white pillow fly from the back to the shuttle right into his lap.
"Ration pack?" he offered, holding out a silver-wrapped item to Kirk.
“No thank you.” Kirk replied.
"I haven't had breakfast yet, I had to shut down the Carolina first, Admiral Lin's orders. I'm sure she's in good hands with the maintenance crew, she's a good ship."
This started an awkward silence and Kirk took the time to think about his day. Not twenty-four hours ago he was still on board the USS Tiger Shark as the ships Chief Operations Officer with a crew that he was very familiar with. Now he was the Chief Engineer of a ship less crew, he was sitting along side a man he had never met before today and to top it all off he was under the command of a Captain that did not belong in this time.
Tras patted his console as if trying to start up a conversation. "This one'll do but he's no Carolina and certainly no Scavenger. It's sad the Scavenger was destroyed isn't it?" Kirk listened as Tras continued to babble.
"So, tell me a little about yourself Commander Kirk, while we wait. What makes you tick?"
“I am sure this is not the time for small talk.” Kirk replied.
“C’mon we have a few hours to kill.” Tras said, clearly trying not to let the conversation die so quickly.
“If you want to know the details of my Star Fleet career you can review my file.” Kirk said before pulling out a data PADD from the left side of his console.
Kirk watched as Tras waved him off while at the same time he had stuffed his face full of the ration pack. He knew that he would have to get to know this new crew but he hoped that it was not going to be so soon. It was not that he resented Tras or anybody else but it was the fact that he resented Drago and all that he stood for.
Kirk was a private man by nature; one could even accuse him of being a recluse. He had to be because friends did not come easy to a former Borg drone. The first site of his ocular implant put most people off to him. He could tell from their looks that they knew never to turn their backs on him for fear of having his assimilation tendrils strike them down and turn them into mindless drones.
Tras was still eating and was still very much interested in hearing about Kirk and ‘what made him tick’. Kirk on the other hand was interested in nothing more than getting this mission done as quickly and as efficiently as he could. Instead he decided to humor his new colleague, which was not in his nature to do so.
“I was born on Earth in the year 2368 to a family of freighter Captains. I spent a lot of time living on freighters but I was never too far from home.” Kirk said, his words trailing off as he thought about his life as a child. When looking back he sees it not as his life but as somebody else’s life. The life he is currently living did not start until after he was freed of the Borg.
“I was assimilated while on my way to the Academy.” Kirk said coldly. He went back to work on the console in front of him. Work was his only self defense mechanism when it came to the pain he felt about the lives he took while he was a drone, “I was rescued four years later and after a brief battle with Star Fleet to allow me to join they finally approved my application. There was a fear that Borg inside Star Fleet was a security risk.”
The human side of Kirk felt a great deal of frustration because from the time of his rescue until the time of his death he will forever be known as Borg to the Federation. His place of birth and human ancestry did not matter to them, he was Borg and that made him a possible threat one day, despite his immaculate service record.
“Do you require more information?” Kirk asked.

Daya looked down at a small pile of PADDs he had already used to upgrade the klingon's systems. With a sigh he brought up the positions of the Klingon vessel, and looked at the progress of its download. 'barely 1 percent, this is gonna take awhile' he thought to himself as he pulled out another PADD. While he was waiting for the download to finish, he thought back to his days in the academy, with his friend and fellow crew member Kirk. They had grown apart after they left, but now he hoped that they could once again become good friends, and hopefull this time Daya wouldnt have to carry Kirk to sickbay.

Looking at Katie he smiled, it still seemed like she was distracted by something. He wasn' t sure what it was but thought better then to ask. As the climbed in to the fighter he put Katie in the front seat and took the back right behind her.
" You'll be have a better view of read outs in the front, As he climbed into the back and strapped him self in. He felt something just brush his mind, it became more so when he touched the controls to bring the systems on line. He mind opened up to it and he felt the ship, it blended with him until he could see what the ship saw. It was like he was the ship his every movemnet was respond to by the fighter with out touching any controls accept what was in his hand already.
" Katie my god I wish you could see what I see, its like I thought its differnt but the same. Its a little more crude then what you would find on my world but still more advance then federation standard maybe 5 years ahead not the 10 I feared."
" I can see and feel everything from the deckplates ship is resting on to the warp core warming up. Oh this is intersting "
All of a sudden the ship took off , he pictured the testing grounds in his head and the ship was up and moving. They blew right past everthing.

Commander Daya went off to the mess hall and Hunter tagged along with another Klingon Officer. Parsons had been invited to Join the ship's commanding officer in the Captain's Mess. As the former Scavenger XO made his way through the ship, his stomach churned at the thought of the upcoming meal. Parsons had limited experience with Klingon food and was not a fan.
* * *
Commander Parsons sat swapping war stories with the Klingon Captain and the large Klingon occasionally laughed heartily at Parsons trying to choke down his meal.
After they had finished, Parsons asked if the Captain would show him around the ship, hoping both to familiarize himself with the Klingon vessel and to occupy the Captain while Daya and Hunter did their work.

He had heard horrors about serving on Klingon ships and he could see why. The first thing he could think of was the smell which permeated throughtout the entire ship. He could feel it encompass his body and he seriously doubted that a good shower would be able to take away the smell.
He of course didn't allow his displeasure to be seen by his Klingon counterpart who had somehow already insulted his entire ancestory. Paikea had the mind to tell him off in a few different languages, but he kept his tongue. He remembered what the Captain had told them.
"I suggest we tour your ship's scientific systems, I do hope they are adequate," Paikea said with a touch of scorn.
"They are more than adequate when we destroy our enemies," Kurtuk said laughing," we have killed a many Tholians and my sensors have never failed me."
"Kurtuk, I am not impressed," Paikea said," from what I have seen and I have seen little, I could disable your systems and transport your bodies into the cold mercyless vacuum of space. Then again there wouldn't be any honor in that."
Paikea was ready to defend himself, but to his surprise Kurtuk began to laugh.
"You are either brave or very stupid human," Kurtuk said," I could kill you where you stand."
"I doubt it," Paikea said as he took a drink from the table that had been prepared for them," For the Empire!"
"For the Empire!"

Illito ran the program one last time, keeping a careful eye on the data that was output, before notifying Dr. Carner that Illito was ready. Illito met Dr. Carner inside, but the Doctor only nodded briefly at Illito, before commenting: “Thank you for your help, I can take things from here for now. A call came through for you, one of the counselors?” Dr. Carner's tone indicated with professional disinterest that he neither knew nor cared why one of the counselors on Assailant would want to talk to Illito.
Illito nodded her thanks for the relay of the message, though she wondered slightly why the counselor would have contacted Dr. Carner. Did the counselor really think Illito would blow off the appointment if she could? Then, again, Illito kind of had blown off the 'first' appointment, or at least she'd not showed up. But she'd been busy at the time, and had explained reasonably why she couldn't make the meeting. Illito was fine with the fact that she had to see a counselor, but she wished they would give her more notice, more warning.
She left Dr. Carner in the holodeck to proceed to the counseling office. “Hello,” the counselor, a female human. “If you'll come right in.” Illito did so, and sat down in the chair she was pointed to. “What would you prefer I call you, commander, doctor..?”
“Just Illito's fine.”
“Alright. I'm Maria.” There was a pause. “I'm not used to doing this kind of counseling, for a whole crew,” Maria said, in a move Illito could tell was calculated to make her feel more comfortable, that Maria and her were on equal footing. It didn't work.
“Oh,” was all Illito replied.
“Do you miss the Scavenger?” Maria asked.
“It was just a bundle of mechanical pieces. It lacked spirit of its own, just whatever we put into it.” Illito shrugged. “Of course I miss it. It was my home.” She was trying to be honest as she could be, trying to say her words without thinking about how the counselor would interpret them. Otherwise she knew this counseling truly would be a waste of time.

As the ship was flying to its destination he was hopeing Illito would have time to study his brain activity. It wasn't to hard for him it was like rideing a bike it came back to him. Although it was a little wierd because it wasn't quite the same as he was use to.
He started to strecht out and discover what else the ship could do. Thats when he found a small cloaking unit. Well lets see how this works and he engaged it, he felt the power drain but it wasn't to bad. He started to see what other systems were there for him to explore, " Katie this thing says its waiting for upgrades to open its own rift in space. The system is on board yet but the design I'm seeing is beyound my understanding. I'm sending the information to your front screen for you to look at" <Tag Katie>

Tras had kept his eyes on Kirk as the human told him just about his entire history, then shook his head. "No commander, I don't 'require' more information. I was just interested in getting to know you a little." He paused briefly as he checked their heading and current location against their departure point.
"And I don't view you as just Borg. You were freed from the collective and made yourself a career in Starfleet. And ex-Borg aren't always viewed as the enemy and you certainly aren't alone either. Did you know that one of the flag admirals at Section 47 is an ex-Borg? He's currently in command of the USS Raven, I learned recently." He smiled briefly. "That AI aboard Assaillant is a wealth of information."
He paused again to report on sensor findings. "We're coming up on the nebula now, and are entering it in ten seconds. Adapted sensors are coming online, and I'm starting scans."
Tras sat back as the sensors did their work. "I used to be in command of the Scavenger," he said after a long silence, "but circumstances forced me to resign that position." He didn't elaborate on the issue, trying to goad Kirk into asking the questions this time.

When the Captain of the Klingon vessel had finished showing Commander Parsons around, the former Scavenger XO returned to the bridge to check on Daya and Hunter. He hoped they had made significant progress.
Walking over to Mr. Daya, who was working diligently at his station, "Progress Mr. Daya, how are those weapons upgrades going." Parsons moved close to the officer so that they would not be overheard by the rest of the bridge crew.
<TAG Daya>
"I see," Adam responded.

"well, to be honest, im running out of stuff to upgrade......ive been making up little upgrades as i go for the last hour now. other then that, i have another day and half to get all this information downloaded, and thats just for the locations of the Klingons ships, i havent even started on the Tholians yet.
"I see," Adam responded Daya wasny so sure he did see, If they were caught untold things would be done to them. While staring at a PADD, and idea came to his mind, "sir" he said, calling Parsons to his side. "what if i created a program, that acted like a virus, only instead of deleting information, it copied it and sent it out to station, where hunter sat and collected the data, we could gather the information we needed in less then a day. Of course i would have to stay and monitor the program, and then stop it."

Katie tried her best to look at the stuff that Pride was sending her but she was having a hard time concentrating. Her eyes showed her that she was going upside down and around but her body couldn’t feel the effects of the moves. At times she had to just close her eyes and pretend that Pride wasn’t turning this into the worst experience of her life.
“I can’t understand it either.” She was lying. Her eyes were still locked closed.
Katie opened her eyes and saw the star base tumbling before them. She felt awful, her stomach tightened into knots and she felt her eyes strain so much that she felt light headed.
“Say why don’t we take this new information back and look at it on solid ground?” Katie asked. She hoped that Pride would agree because she didn’t know how much longer she was going to be able to stand this merry-go-round.

Studying Katie life sign he slowed the ship down and centered it. He was now taking it easy on the ship and was not over doing it. " I hope that is better katie, Sorry about earlyer I forget that not everybody is a pilot"
Seeing the testing grounds on the senors and how shook up Katie was. I think I'm going to have to slow down and take it easy. " Katie I can always turn this ship around and take you back to star base just let me know"
