T'Mar had taken some time off as she was close to giving birth and occupied herself with decorating a christmas tree. Though Vulcans do not decorate christmas trees, she thought she'd give it a try because she had already finished a wardrobe for her child, arranging furniture and the neccesary hygienic items. When she finished she sat down in a comfy chair and looked at the tree and felt it had not entirely been a useless way to spend time as she felt more relaxed. The Scavenger was heading for Bajor to deliver some goods for the space station. It was now a quiet part of space so nothing was expected to happen. (ooc: If anyone wishes to join in, you're welcome

On the bridge, Emelye was reading some reports when a distress call came in. "Sir, we are receiving a distress signal from a nearby sector" Sovas said. "Can you further pinpoint the location?" Emelye asked him. She welcomed some exitement on a dull mission. Sovas checked his readings. "The signal comes from an Andorian colony. The message says there has been a massive flood and they require assistance. The sealevel has suddenly raised 3 meters and a storm has breached their coastal defences." Commander Brianon nodded. "Let's see what we can do. Helm, set a course."
T'Mar woke up from a doze and looked out the window and noticed they were changing course and inquired about it. "A distress call from an Andorian colony commodore. We're just gonna check it out and see if we can help clearing up the water, help the people." "I see. Be careful commander. The Andorians are known to have a temper." Emelye nodded. "I know, that's why I'm not fond of them. I'm also curious why they're calling for help, considering they're also very proud. But we'll see. We'll manage." "I have every confidence in you commander Brianon." Emelye smiled. After a while they arrived at the colony, and a flood had indeed struck a major settlement. However, the Andorians denied having sent a distress call. Scavenger hung around anyway, also because the science officer noticed an interesting deposit on the other side of the planet in a rocky area. The Andorians didn't mind letting the Scavenger crew take a look there. Luke had something to ask Commander Brianon. "Sir, perhaps we could use this opportunity to land the ship and do some repairs and refits we haven't gotten around to lately." Emelye nodded and authorised the landing. Half an hour later a door at the bottom of the ship opened and the ramp slid out. The first to walk down the ramp was commodore T'Mar who was going for a walk in the fresh air. Emelye first protested and said they should first make sure the area was safe. Sensorreadings of the surroundings indicated there was hardly any activity so T'Mar dismissed the warning. She longed for a walk on solid ground. Her husband came with her. A science team headed for the caves to collect samples. T'Mar didn't stay out for long and returned to the ship after an hour and wished the awayteams succes.

OOC - T'Mar, how long have you been pregnant? It seems like a long time now.
IC - Trust was in his quarters hanging up some Christmas decorations. He loved Christmas. Not just for the presents but for the whole idea of people everywhere joining in celebrations and having a good time made his body tingle. He loved looking at Christmas lights on houses and trees back on earth, they reminded him of glowing angels watching over the houses. Trust loved singing Christmas carols, his favourite was "Do You Hear What I Hear?". Trust also celebrated the religious side of Christmas. He always gave thanks to God for giving the world it's first Christmas present, Jesus.
Trust finished hanging up the tinsle and other decorations, stepped back and smiled. The room had a nice comfortable feel to it. A small Christmas tree stood in the corner, it's lights flashing on and off. An agel sat atop the tree looking over the room.
An hour later Trust went and reported into the bridge. He was going over some reports when the Scavenger picked up a distress signal.
"Commander No-One, set a course for the Andorian colony, warp 6." Ordered Emelye.
"Yes sir." replied Trust.
The Scavenger changed it's course and headed for the Andorian colony. Several hours later they arrived at the colony. Scans showed that a flood had once been very severe and had done some devastating damage but there appeared to be no danger anywhere. The Andorians denied sending a distress signal which puzzled Trust's mind. Could the Scavenger have been wrong about the distress signal? If not why would the Andorians lie? Trust thought about all this for a long time.
Later Trust was given orders to set the Scavenger down on the planet. Trust skillfully landing in a clearing and asked to join the away team.

She... well for all that word meant to her kind... was currently in human form, human female form... it was something she liked... humans were at least a lot prettier than some of the other species out there... Andorians came to mind... blue was simply not her colour... to use a human euphemism.
Sitting, or more accurately floating in mid-air she watched the Scavenger come into land... she wished she could say it had been hard to lure them here, but they were so predictable these Starfleet types... answering distress signals with barely a thought that it might put themselves in distress, and what did they get for their trouble... oh well, she was bored, and it had been so long since she'd had the chance to really play with the whiney little Starfleet babies... but what to do, so many possibilities... hmm... start small... such a nice sunny day and those poor little boys and girls are running around with their shirt sleeves tied around their waists... time for a little change in climate.
Below she watched in amusement as the Starfleet crew headed for the safety of their ship quickly... it was only a little snow storm... anyone would think it was dangerous...
No, this wasn't amusing enough anymore... hail... boring... hide the sun... so been done... throw them into the planets past... no there weren't even any decently dangerous creatures on this world a few million years ago...
"Now we're talking." The Q decided snapping her fingers... "lets see what they make of this!"
The planet, Andorian base, and Scavenger soon found itself in the blazing heat of three suns... in the blink of one eye Q had literally hurtled them across the quadrant to a completely different star system.
Q watched with amusement and fascination as the Scavenger crew began to gather themselves together and figure out what had happened.

"Those two extra suns are not supposed to be here" T'Mar murmured. As she walked back to the ship she saw Trust No-one, the helmsman. "Get to the bridge and check the navigation sensors." Although she was on leave she stepped back into her role as commanding officer. Trust nodded. "You should also get back inside ma'am" he said. Emelye was standing on top of the ramp waiting for T'Mar. "Let's go to the bridge" she said. "Are you alright sir?" "I am alright Emelye. I do not plan to take over right now for this emergency, but I will join you to the bridge." "I've seen some sort of flash" Emelye said. "And if I'm right, Q can make such flashes and change things. We must get back in space before Q juggles again. Maybe it won't matter, it's just a feeling we should get back up there. I'm going to order a launch."
A while later everyone was back on board and in the meanwhile Trust had found out that the planet was moved to another system several thousand lightyears from their previous position. "It will take a few months to get to Bajor commander" he said. Emelye was sitting in the command chair, T'Mar was sitting beside her, not feeling all too comfortable since that chair was not well adjusted to her current needs. "Once we are back in space, I'll go to my quarters" she said quietly to Emelye. The supplies will still be in adequate condition once we get to Bajor." Emelye nodded and ordered Trust to take off.

As Luke showered, grimy after a hard day's work, he thought about the possibility of a Q in the vicinity. He had always wanted to meet one, he was fascinated by them. He suddenly jumped as a pair of hands clasped his shoulders. It was Emelye. He smiled and turned his head, kissing her on the lips. "Hey," he said. "Ready to put the tree up?" She hummed in the affirmative, and gave Luke one last kiss as she headed for the living area. After a good five minutes, he joined her. She was already assembling the tree, a 6ft plastic one, better than a real one during space flight in Luke's opinion. "I'll grab the baubles," he said, suddenly realising his remark was ambigious. Emelye rolled around on the floor laughing. He smiled. Suddenly, the ship gave a violent shake. Luke fell roughly, but saved himself grevious injury by using a side breakfall, something he had learned from his many years of Ju-Jitsu training. The red alert klaxon suddenly sounded, and the ship shook again. "All hands," came T'Mar's voice, albeit distorted and fuzzy. "We... att.... unknown... ien... explo... All... ds... battle stations!" Luke and Emelye ran quickly, each seperating at a small junction. As Luke burst into engineering, he was greeted by a peculiar sight, 1940's Paris. He knew it well, he had studied it as his project for History class in high school. It was during Nazi occupation in World War II. But, instead of Nazi flags everywhere, there were British flags and Nazi flags. Luke spun around. The door leading out of engineering had gone, replaced by the rest of the street he was standing in. He spotted a discarded newspaper lying on the ground. The main headline read, 'Nazi/British Alliance Use First Nuclear Weapon On Washington D.C.!' Luke's jaw dropped. This was wrong! He read on avidly. 'It has been confirmed by British Intelligence agents that Washington D.C. was effectively destroyed this morning at 9.15 a.m. This followed a warning to the American's stating that if they did not surrender, a weapon of mass destruction would be used. The American's, not believing that such a weapon was in the clutches of the Fuhrer, foolishly ignored Chancellor Hitler's warning. With the confirmed death of President Roosevelt (OOC: Sorry if i'm wrong, I wasn't sure), mass celebrations have already begun in Berlin and London. American troops in Cyprus, Italy, Egypt and Southern France are already evacuating their troops, and the Americans are expected to desert other strongholds and cities, including Tokyo, Toronto and Moscow by the end of the week'. Luke couldn't believe what he was reading. Suddenly, he remembered his perdicament. The street was eerily quiet, not a soul in sight. Luke wasn't suprised. It was very early morning, and their was probably a curfew in the city anyway. Luke suddenly had a thought. He might be in the holodeck! "Computer," he said quietly. No reply. He said it again, louder than before. There was still no answer, quahing his hopes. Then, another thought came to his head, Q.

(ooc: The interactions with other ships are discussed on the Starbase Assailant and Section 47 board. I think your idea is nice. Do you have any idea why Q did this to you and how to get out of this situation?)
T'Mar had stayed on the bridge and now that Emelye was busy decorating a tree, T'Mar had taken up her usual seat and was dozing quietly untill the ship rocked violently. She woke up and demanded a status report. "No damage reported sir, but there are a few injuries. Dr Sulak is preparing for additional casualties in case this is an attack. Frankly, I do not know what happened. There are no other ships and my sensors are not reading any anomalies." "It might be Q. I noticed the flash when we were moved here. I am curious why he has not appeared yet."

Luke didn't like his new clothes, they were uncomfortable. Itchy, and made with primitive wool. Luke dismissed his irrelevant thoughts. He had to be cautious, it was mid-afternoon, and the city was buzzing with activity. As Luke noticed, there wasn't one french person in sight. Only british people and German people. Luke had no money, no residence and nothing apart from clothes to his name, something he had to fix. "Du!" he suddenly heard. he turned and saw a German soldier running towards him. "Yes?" Luke said. "Ah... du are Englisch. I believe du hath dropped your vallet?" The soldier handed Luke a small brown package. "Thank you!" said Luke, not believing his luck. "I hadn't realised I had dropped it". "Guten Tag," said the soldier, giving a curt nod before walking off. 'I wonder whose this is?' Luke thought. He entered a small Cafe and sat down at a vacant table. Slowly, he opened the wallet up. There was a huge wad of German Marks in it, equivalent in to about 3,000 pounds in British money. Luke, being a historical expert, worked that out easily. He also sensed his excellent geographical knowledge would come in handy here, as he might need to get to learn the area. After paying for a large coffee and a croissant, Luke searched through the other contents of the wallet. There was a picture of a small child, probably about 3 years old, that was badly worn away. Luke noted that the child looked familiar, but then noted that this was quite ludicrous. Her hair was very curly, but her face was so familiar. It suddenly hit Luke, she looked like Emelye! Luke shook this off. It was ludicrous. As he seived through the rest of the wallet, he found a small ID card, possibly something the Germans introduced to the city. The ID card read 'Johnothan Hargreaves'. More interestingly, Luke read something else, 'Family: Wife, Aimee, Deceased, Daughter, Emelye, Deceased'. Luke's stomach dropped. It had to be a coincidence. Emelye's mother wasn't called Aimee was she?' he pondered aimlessly. Suddenly, a man burst into the room. "Japan!" he screamed. "We have Japan! The Americans there have surrendered!" Everyone in the cafe cheered loudly. To avoid exposure, Luke cheered involuntarily. Everyone smiled as they went back to work. Luke wondered how drastically history had been changed. Japan under German occupation, Canada, parts of america, Italy, Russia, the Middle East, the list just went on. After some decision, Luke decided to head to the city records building. Maybe that would provide some answers of who Johnathan Hargreaves was.

The Grinch, as most called him, sat on his thrown in his elaborately decorated castle. He was bored, and had just viewed the most boring combat he had ever seen. Combat, being an activity in which two citizens are chosen at random to fight to the death to amuse their king (The Grinch) usually amused him. The Grinch possessed a vast empire in a realm not known to the inhabitants of the Milky way galaxy. It is a realm beyond time and space. It's a place where time and space and physics are not subject to the rules of the inferior physical universe, and futhermore, can be manipulated.
The Grinch began to drift off into sleep at his throne, when he was suddenly awakened by one of his guards.
Guard: Sire. Sire.....Pss. Sire.
Grinch: Mm. Yes, what do you want simpleton?
Guard: I have noticed that you have not been impressed with your normal routine of inflicting pain and fear and agony into others. I grew very concerned.
Grinch: Yes, it has been a series of failures lately. What do you want?
Guard: I found something that you may find interesting. I detected something in a galaxy not too far away, in the alpha quadrant. Something very unusual is happening. Time and space is being manipulated...
Grinch: How is that possible? There is no way that those inferior creatures in that realm could have the means of doing that.
Guard: And that is what I found interesting! Maybe we could go and see what is happening.
Grinch: It piques my interest....Slightly at best.
Guard: Does it not sound exciting? Not only can we find out what or who is responsible, but we could also find new races to enslave.
Grinch: Those inferior beings do not matter to me. They are immaterial. Although it would be interesting to see how they react to pain and agony. I see the logic in this. Prepare a ship.
Guard: Very good your higness! At once!

T'Mar had been conferring with her crew about the next course of action. Luke appeared to be missing which concerned everyone. Especcially Emelye seemed quite concerned. "Send out a distress signal" T'Mar said. "Commander Sovas, send out a broadband distress call and signal to Starfleet our location and our situation." After the meeting, Emelye was waiting till the others had leftthe lounge except the commodore. "Sir, you should know that Luke and I have feelings for each other. I'm very worried about him. " T'Mar noticed that her first officer was fighting her emotions. "Do not think I have not noticed. I am also not opposed to crewmembers forging relationships. In a large group of people, living closely toghether, it cannot simply be prevented. We must all deal with our emotions while we're on duty." Then the red alert rang. "Commodore, we are being intercepted by an alien ship, they are arming weapons!" Sovas said. "All hands to battlestations!" T'Mar yelled. She sat down on her chair to lead the battle. Suddenly she felt a sharp pain start in her back and engulf her belly. She did not wince but quietly sent a secret signal to chief medical officer Sulak to come to the bridge immediately.
The alien ship opened a hailingfrequency and Scavenger responded hoping this could be settled peacefully. "Alien ship, prepare to be boarded" was all they got. "So much for diplomacy" Emelye muttered. "All hands, prepare for the assault. Whether or not we may unwillingly be breaking their rules, I will not let this ship fall into their hands at any condition. Lock weapons!" T'Mar said with a touch of aggression in her voice. Doctor Sulak stepped out of the turbolift. "Goodafternoon Commodore" he said and sat down on the left chair next to her. Emelye was surprised to see him. "Aren't you supposed to be in sickbay preparing for casualties?" "Well Commander Brianon, it is procedure to have a medic on the bridge in these situation with a CO in her present condition." "There is no such regulation as far as I can remember but prudent" Emelye replied. "I know myself well enough I would start ignoring my own welfare in the heat of battle" T'Mar said quietly to the other two, out of hearing range of the rest of the crew. But she felt the pain return and it was stronger this time. She tried using a meditation technique to postpone labor but that would be hard in a battle situation. The alien ship was nearing fast. "The aliens are within firing range and firing phaserweapons" Sovas reported. "Return fire!" T'Mar said. Next the aliens fired some kind of photon torpedoes. Most of thems were evaded but one torpedo which penetrated the shields, hit the Scavenger right under the saucer which caused the ship to lunge backwards. The blast caught T'Mar off guard, nearly sending her flying across the bridge like most of her crew. While she fought to hang on to her chair she could not controll the pain and groaned loudly. The doctor grabbed her hand and helped her up. "That's it Commodore, I am taking you to sickbay!" "No, I must stay here! I cannot leave now" she protested. "Come about, target their weaponsystems!" She got back into her chair. "This is going to take hours anyway doctor. Enough time to incapacitate their ship and be on our way." "I doubt it" Sulak replied dryly. Then the ship rocked violently again. This time T'Mar held firmly onto her chair. "Sir, the engines are hit! Reports of many casualties coming in from that section. The warpcore coolant is leaking so they're shutting down the core." The commodore hardly heard it as was preoccupied with other matters. "Take her to sickbay doctor" Emelye said. "I'll hold them off and get us out of trouble sir." T'Mar nodded and slowly got up. Sulak helped her into the turbolift. Another torpedo hit the ship knocking out the rest of propulsion capability they had. "We are sitting ducks now doctor" T'Mar said. "This is not a good time." She was quiet and composed again. "I agree sir that this is not a good time. It is quite unlikely that we will be able to keep these aliens off our ship." Then he got a message from sickbay that it was overcrowded by wounded crewmembers. "The ship is being pulled by a tractor beam" T'Mar said. She had noticed the ship going into motion again but into one direction. "I will bring you to your quarters sir as I think that sickbay is an inadequate place now for you. It is simply too crowded there." T'Mar agreed. She felt no desire to give birth in such a chaos.
Emelye sought ways to shake off the aliens. "Commander Sovas, any ideas to disrupt their tractor beam?" "I am concidering a number of methods sir." Emelye didn't wait for an explanation. She thought they could have an interesting discussion on that later. "Try them all commander!" Sovas send several energy pulses from the deflector dish but they appeared ineffective. "It really is too bad the phasers are inoperative" he said. "Any chance to get engines and weapons back online? Sovas contacted several departments. "So far, nobody can estimate when systems will be functioning again. " "Swell!" Emelye muttered. "Sir, we're being boarded! Reports coming in from all decks!" Sovas reported. "Well I wondered when they'd be showing up" Emelye replied. "Arm yourselves people!" and took up her phaser.
T'Mar was sitting in her quarters accompanied by a nurse as the doctor was needed in sickbay. She heard the boarding alert. "Get two phasers from the locker near my desk" she said. The nurse was surprised. She was an experienced medic but she had not been serving in Starfleet very long. "What's happening?" she said. "Get the phasers. We are being boarded! We must be able to defend ourselves. You do know how to fire one do you?" "Yessir" she replied and did as ordered.

"There is no record of a man named Johnathan Hargreaves in this city mister...?" "Dunsmore," said Luke, trying desperately not to roll his eyes at the rather unpleasant English soldier. "Well i'm sorry but now you have to leave". Luke walked away, now even more puzzled than he was when he went in. As he gazed at the beautiful Eiffel Tower, just across the street, the ground suddenly shook. A massive explosion erupted from the bottom floor of the tower, shattering the glass that now adorned the building since the Germans made it their headquarters. Luke covered his head instinctively, whilst small pieces of metal and glass hit him. Smoke rose into the air, and people ran screaming. Suddenly, a hideous screech of metal pronounced itself, and Luke looked upwards. He knew what was coming. The tower started to fall, pieces of metal falling with it. He screamed with futility, as the giant hunk of metal made its slow descent to the ground, collapsing other buildings on top of him and the street.

down the days Q watched amused as the Lt Commander, Luke Dunsmore, that she'd separated from the other crew tried to make sense of his situation... she'd used his own mind to make it all up, it was almost too easy... so amused was she in fact waiting to see what he'd do next that it took her some minutes to realise the ship she was playing with was under attack.
"Well now, what's this, someone's interrupting my game." Q said aloud to herself.
She wondered if she should interfere or just watch... she was in fact contemplating interfering when she realised that the good Starfleet Lt Commander was in a little trouble and didn't seem to have the usual knack other Starfleeters she'd known did for getting out of that trouble...
Well dead people just weren't amusing, so Q grabbed him back and dropped him on the Scavenger's bridge, it would seem that the crew could use the extra pair of hands anyway, since for now, Q would wait and see what this new enemy would do...
One never knew, amusement presented itself in the strangest of ways, and Q was curious to know more about the new element that had attacked the Starfleet Vessel, so for now, she would let this new group do as they would, as long as it amused her to do so.

Sickbay was in shambles. The lighting was offline, the glass between the doctor's office and the ward was shattered (along with several other structural elements), and the hyposprays were less than orderly arranged. On top of that, it was flooded with people. Tough, even for a Vulcan trying to maintain a calm exterior. This was nothing like life on Starbase Horizon.
The attack had caused quite some injuries, ranging from bruised limbs to ruptured spleens.
In operating gowns, Sulak was calmly giving orders to his assistant and the two nurses while he was working on Crewman Ju'Riz' hybernatory gland, while suddenly the boarding alarm activated. Retracting the arterius hybernatus, Sulak raised his voice to reach the young Ensign near the door and instructed him to erect a forcefield in the doorway. "And please instruct the crew to direct further casualties to Cargo Bay 3. I shall signal the secondary medical team."
The forcefield activated, and not a moment too soon, because whatever was boarding the ship produced a dull thud on the sickbay door, greatly weakening the bulkhead..

Emelye was busy organizing the defence of the bridge. If they weren't using the doors to get here, they would beam in. The aliens however were using transport shuttles to lock on to the Scavenger and use the airlocks. This bought the crew some time to set up the defences. One problem was that the communication system had gone down. Emelye urged the repair team on the bridge to get that fixed. "Communication is of utmost priority. If we can communicate with engineering, that would be great." "And with the commodore's quarters sir. They need to know what is happening" Sovas said. "Guards are posted there so there's a line of defence there." "I have sent my best men. They will defend the commodore the best they can. And if need be, she herself is excellent in handling a phaser." Emelye sighed. "Well, once the comm's back on, you tell them to do more than their best because the commodore won't be able to point a phaser at the bad guys!" Emelye told Sovas, inaudible to the others. "She's gone into labor and we need to get these hostiles off the ship and fly the hell out of here." Sovas did not twitch. "Well sir, our chances are slim, but I may have an idea to speed up repairs. I can rerout some power from the photon torpedoes to communications and get the secondary system online." "Get on it!"
"This is not a good time" T'Mar muttered. "Oh I fully agree" the nurse replied. "But try not to think about it right now. It will only give you more stress." "Vulcans are never under stress" T'Mar said. She was lying in bed on her side and faced the door, holding her phaser close to be ready to shoot as soon as any hostile would break through. "I am a Starfleet officer and I have a duty. I know I cannot defend my crew right now but there are three lives here. Where my husband is, I do not know. I hope he is safe." She looked at the fresh medical officer. "You look scared. You should be, but do not give into your fear when the time comes." "I won't sir" the nurse answered.

Luke screamed as the huge metal bulk collapsed on top of him. He covered his head, somewhat futilely. Strangely, there was no pain. Had he died? He lifted his head. He was on the bridge, being stared at by Sovas and Emelye. "Luke!" she said. He smiled. "Where...?" she began, but then said, "No time now. Sorry. We're in the middle of a battle. We've been boarded. Grab a phaser and await of my instructions". He nodded in the affirmative. Quickly, he grabbed a phaser from the equipment cabinet and waited. Trust nodded at him, seeming glad to see his friend safe and sound. Suddenly, a loud clank rang out, and the ceiling above them creaked inwards. There was an eeire moment of silence, before the realisation of a torpedo hitting the bridge hit them. The explosion wasn't that bad, but a massive hole in the ceiling was created, blowing out everything and everyone on the bridge. Luke had managed to grab the conn, as he saw Emelye and Sovas dissapear through the hole. Slowly, it beckoned to him against his will, and he succumbed to its arousal. Instead of immediate death, he found himself screaming in the middle of Arctic tundra. A blaring Sun hung above him, as well as the rest of the bridge crew gathered around him.
Off- Q, if you please...

Suddenly there was a flash and T'Mar realised that she was no longer aboard her ship in her quarters. It was very cold and she wrapped the covers around her body. Doctor Sulak hurried towards her. She saw her husband looking dazed and chilled. Vulcans are no fans of cold environments. "Sovek!" the commodore cried out. He dropped on his knees beside her. "The time is near" she told him. "We must find shelter, no matter what Q is up to" Emelye said resolutely. "I can see some kind of a cave half a mile away. Let's check it out. Sir, can you walk?" she asked T'Mar. "I fear that I must" she answered feebly. "We must hurry, it is too cold AARGH!" "In a moment" Sulak said. "While we walk, we must gather all wood we can find to get warm and to melt some ice." There was a a glacier ending near the cave. They hurried towards the cave, pausing a couple of times to let the commodore breathe. Once in the cave, they started a fire and made themselves comfortable. The fire was not big so they sat close toghether to keep warm. For the commodore they laid down some moss and uniform jackets to make her comfortable. Luke had done some surveying further in the cave. "Look sir, I've found some animal skins. Looks like people used to live here." He gave them to Sovek who thanked him. "Give also some to the others" he said. "We may be here for a while." "Any sign of remaining locals?" Emelye asked who had dropped in and heard the conversation. Luke shook his head. "No commander. I haven't seen anyone and the chamber where I've found these skins hasn't been occupied for some years. Perhaps these people have moved on. Our ancestors were nomadic during the ice age." "Right. Doctor, how is the situation here?" "Getting close commander Brianon. I must ask you and Mr Dunsmore to leave now. I will call you when there is news. Dunsmore and Brianon left as Trust came in with an armful of wood. "I've found some more dry wood on the other side of the glacier. I think the commodore can use it well right now." "Thankyou commander No-one" the doctor answered. "I am certain she will appreciate it." T'Mar looked at Trust gratefully. "Very good. Please put some on the fire. The heat will take the edge off." A few minutes later the fire in T'Mar's chamber was large and hot. Humans would take it for a sauna but to the Vulcans it was like a pleasant summer's day. (ooc: Q, where are you?

Luke, not being used to the severe cold, shuddered violently as a particularily violent blizzard made its way towards him and Trust, who had been sent out for fire wood. Suddenly, he felt dizzy. The landscape around him span and he collapsed onto the ground, his lips blue.

Trust spun around and watched Luke fall to the ground. For a second Trust stood there in shock. Then he realised that Luke was going into hyperthermic shock.
Trust rushed over to Luke and tried to raise his body temperature. Luke was having a hard time breathing. His speech was slurred and made no sense. Trust wondered why Luke was talking about waffles at a time like this.
"We have to make shelter until the blizzard passes. But first a fire for you. I hope this wood will be enough and that the winds don't blow it out."
Trust got down and started working on the fire. It took awhile for the wood to catch. The snow in the air had made the wood fairly wet. The fire was small but provided enough heat to keep Luke from dying. Once trust was fairly certain it wouldn't go out he started working on building an ice shelter.
"Do you know what you are doing Trust?" Asked Luke.
"No not really but I remember back on Earth a race of people called eskimos used to live in ice huts. Of course they had tools to help them make ice bricks so the best I can do is make a hole in the snow. Once we get a fire started in there it will warm up but not melt the ice if we have a big enough ventilation hole. At least it will do."
Trust was starting to sweat and wondered if anyone would find them out here.

Luke awoke in the morning, not at all refreshed from his sleep in the artic tundra. However, when he awoke, it wasn't arctic tundra he saw. It was a vast rainforest filled with the sounds of birds and animals. Luke was boiling hot and he quickly rose and shedded his arctic jacket, boots, scarf, hat, goggles, and arctic pants. He was in his normal uniform, but even this was too much. In an effort to cool down, he took off his top and rapped it around his waist. Trust was nowhere to be seen, but his bed was still there, as well as his shirt, so he couldn't have been far. Sure enough, about a minute after Luke's musings, he saw Trust clamber through a very thick grouping of ferns. "This is Q's doing!" he screamed. Luke laughed, but he wasn't happy about where they were. He wondered if the rest of the Scavenger crew were here as well.
Emelye burst into tears as she saw the horrific sight before her eyes. It was Luke and Trust. Both had been torn apart by some kind of animal. The snow was crimson red for at least 3 feet. She sobbed, silently, knowing she had lost Luke.
Off- (Ok here's the deal, me and trust are in some rainforest, and the rest of the crew are still in the snow. They think were dead, but we're not. Q is playing with them. Q, take it away...)
(P.S. in the future, if i'm typing speech but put the @ symbol either side of the words, its because I have this new computer, but my old one the keyb oard was screwed up and the " symbol was the @ key and vice versa. I'm still getting used to a keyboard that works!)

(Hi everyone, I'm back. I was away on choir rehearsal week so I didn't have access to internet)
Emelye confirmed that Trust and Luke were dead but didn't know Q had swept them off to another place. As soon as the snowstorm started it stopped again and the scenery changed in a flash. Now there were high trees and luscious undergrowth but no sign of Luke and Trust. Emelye walked back into the cave which was overgrown with plants. Then she heard the cries of a newborn child coming from inside the cave. "At least that's going allright" she thought. After a while, the doctor appeared and saw Emelye had been crying and asked what had happened. "Trust and Luke were killed by something, and then they disappeared. I don't know where they are! How's the commodore?" "Resting" Sulak answered. "She is doing quite well." Emelye walked further into the cave to tell the others what had happened. She found T'Mar lying comforably wrapped in the skins they had found cradling her newborn daughter. "Trust and Luke are gone" Emelye said to her. First they were killed and the world outside has changed and now their bodies are gone. But I'm glad the rest of us are okay." "It is Q's doing" T'Mar said quietly. "And I do not wish to concern myself with Q's mischief. If Q has indeed killed Trust and Luke, we have a serious problem on our hands." "And we have nothing here to construct a subspace transmitter or beacon" Emelye said. "We're in big trouble here." She shrieked as she saw Luke and Trust enter the cave.

Luke, Trust, Sulak, Sovas, are you still here mates? If nobody posts here today, I'll continue the story tomorrow. I hope you both come up with something.
