=/\=Doctor Tintagel to Captain Drago, Commanders Cavit and Apirana, Lieutenant Anderson, and Ensign Cole=/\= Illito said after tapping the commbadge. =/\=Could you please report to sickbay for a physical at some point today when you get a chance=/\=
She had sent off the announcement when the computer chirped. “Lieutenant Pride has left the brig,” it informed her. Illito had just tapped her commbadge to talk to him to see if he was all right, when Captain Tras walked into sickbay. Her hand dropped to her side as she reluctantly faked a smile and walked out of the Chief Medical Officer's office.
“Ahh dear doctor, are we ready for the physicals?” Captain Tras asked.
Illito didn't even really have to think a lot about it to know it was a bad idea, but at the moment assigning someone else to do the Captain's physical was looking like a good idea. Unfortunately it would also be a terrible insult to the Captain's position. Instead Illito just nodded and held out a hand pointing to one of the biobeds. “If you'll just have a seat there, sir.” Illito walked behind him, but kept a little more distance than she usually did with people, since she was trying to somehow subtly convey that she wasn't interested. She wasn't quite sure she was succeeding though.
“I haven't yet received a copy of your medical records, sir,” Illito apologized, “So I'll need to know if you have had any major illnesses or injuries in the past, and what they were, as well as if you have any allergies.” While she was waiting for his answer, she started the scan.

Pride: Looked at Captain Tras as he responded to his question "You will return to your quarters, and report for your first shift in an hour. When your shift commences you will hover over Drago like an annoying instructor and you will report everything he does correctly and everything he does wrong. And no I can't tell you who to like or not to like, but I can tell you how to do your job." Looking at Captain Tras " As you command sir"
Pride: Left the brig and headed for his quarters when he arrived he changed his uniform and sent a message to Commander Drago before his shift started " Commander I don't know how much longer I can keep my cool I'm sorry for any problems I may have cause you but after our last mission I'm alittle more guarded when there are changes. As of now I have been released from the brig I'm to report to the bridge and hover over you like a instructor and report everything to captain Tras. Sir I'm looking for input right now I'm sure you got my last massage and hope the need will not arise for us to have to take the ship back please let me know how you want me to play. I'm worried about the crew and you sir this captain has it in for you." <Tag Drago> pride made sure there was no trace of the message and it would delete it self if somebody else tried to open it.
Pride: Looked at the time 30 Min's before shift started and decided to head for the bridge Well the captain did say he expected his officer to arrive early. Leaving his quarters he headed for the bridge to take his station.

Luke slowly made his way to the Bridge. In all honsety he was a little shell shocked... Suddenly he had found himself demoted and a Navigation Officer. Not that this was a particularly bad thing, he hadn't yet had the oppurtunity to take the helm of the Scavenger and flying a Starship was something he sorely missed... But would it be odd? Serving those who had previously served him? This was not Luke being obnoxious and conceited, this was Luke being concerned with the Command staff dynamic.
The Scavenger crew had only recently lost their relatively long term CO, Commodore T'Mar, who was replaced with Drago - whom all seemed to be slightly concerned with. He was hardly the regular Commanding Officer. However, within weeks of this appointment yet another CO had shown up, one in total contrast to T'Mar and Drago and who seemed to be intent on everyone hating him... It just couldn't be good for ship moral and relationship forming.
These musings had led Luke to the Bridge. He slowly walked over to the helm, avoiding eye contact of those that watched him.
"This is just strange..." He thought to himself, sitting down and accessing the navigational systems.
Seconds later Tras strolled onto the Bridge. Luke heaved a sigh of relief, if he had been caught in that Turbolift with that man he would be held up on murder charges.
"Why aren't we on our way yet to Karn IV, Commander Drago?" Tras snapped as he sat down in the Command chair. "Set course...and step on it!"
Luke frowned. "Karn IV, Warp 6." He stated in a monotone.
"Make that factor 7.5." Tras ordered. "Your lack of punctual time keeping has already made us fall behind schedule."
Luke didn't even bother to reply, he just punched in the co-ordinates and allowed the Ship to jump to Warp.
"Ah, Lieutenant Pride." Luke heard Tras say. "You have your orders.
Luke slowly turned round and saw Pride standing there, hovering above his shoulders.
"Great." He muttered.

Pride: Walked on the bridge in time to hear Captain tras giving Commander Drago his orders "Make that factor 7.5." Tras ordered. "Your lack of punctual time keeping has already made us fall behind schedule." Looking at Captain tras and thinking to himself he's enjoying this way to much hoping Commander Drago had gotten his message he walked over to Drago postion.
Pride: Heard Captain Tras addressing him"Ah, Lieutenant Pride,You have your orders." Looking back for a secound with a cold gaze the one reserved for his enemy's " Understood sir Commander Drago has performed your orders and excuted them there are no problems to report at this time also Commander Drago is current on his qualifications by starfleet standard I will continue to monitor his progress as you have ordered sir" <Tag Captain Trass>
Pride: Turned back to Commander Drago and approached him as to double check something " Sir I"m sorry he has me watching you I have already longed my protest with starfleet letting them know how I feel about this. Walking over to the seat next to Drago and taking and tying his system into Drago to watch everything he did " Captain Tras my station is now tied to Drago I will be able to watch and monitor and change anything he does at this time there are no problems"
Pride: Looked over at drago thing to himself how long am I going to be able to do this, I'm going to end up back in the brig there's no way I can do this to this man he deserves better then this hell we all do. Pride decided to send a communitcation to starfleet letting them know that Captain Tras felt that there standards for qualification were not good enought for piloting and that he was having to monitor Commander Drago on the helm even thought his skill were as good as his owne hopefuly someone will take offense and call Captain Tras.

Paikea had never seen things go so bad so quickly for his friends and crewmates. He could remember the day that Commander Drago had come to the Scavenger as her new commanding officer. The relationship between him and the rest of the senior staff was strained immediately. Pai could remember having the conversation with Semia about reported the commander to Admira Lin. That seemed so far away now.
Paikea and most of the crew had come to accept Drago as there new CO and everyone respected him. He was a compitent commanding officer and he was even starting to become a permanent fixture on the Scavenger. That of course changed almost instantly. This new Captain Tras came and took over in a matter of minutes. He didn't ask anyone for any recommendations or suggestions. He had already demoted there old commanding officer and sent Pride to the brig.
These events sounded so much like a holonovela, but here he was living in it. As Paikea worked at his station he couldn't help but think what Tras had done to punish Drago and Pride. He of course didn't have to wait long as Commander Drago walked into the bridge and to the helm station. Paikea was about to ask what he was doing there, but Tras interrupted and ordered him to take us to Karn
Paikea immediately became angry with Tras as he berated Drago for no reason at all. The only thing that held his tongue was the stare from the rest of the bridge crew. Paikea calmed down a bit, but he wouldn't let his friends be treated with disrespect from a man who didn't deserve it in return.

To say Luke was awkward was an understatement. He knew that Pride was only doing as he had been ordered, but his continued watching, even from a separate console, was just annoying. The Scavenger herself handled well at high warp, but she just wasn't the Tiger Shark.
"Always with the comparisons." He mused.
Something caught his eye on the left side of his station. A small flashing red light. It took him a whie to realise what it meant, it had been a fair amount of years since he had piloted a Starship.
"Tras, we might have a problem." He stated.
"Captain Tras, Commander. And I am well aware, I am monitoring the Ship's report Ops readouts."
Luke turned round. "Do you not think we should drop out of Warp?" He enquired, trying to keep a level tone. "This could put the Crew in danger, surely we can be late just to check it out?"
"We have less than a day to get there Commander. The Warp engines will hold out until we get there."
Luke stood up. "Are you stupid?!" He exclaimed. "They might well be fine but what if they're not?!" The anger was well and truly boiling over now.
"Sit down Commander." Tras said, remaining seated.
"Or what?!" Luke yelled, walking over to the arrogant man sitting in his seat.

Pride: Hated having to monitor Commander Drago he found it degrading when he noticed the same warning light drago did before he could say anything Drago was already on it haveing words with captain Tras. Everybody on the bridge could feel the tention waiting the out. Oh hell if Commander drago is going to the brig I might as well join him. Turning to look at the exchange between Captain Tras and Drago Pride spoke up. " Sir I concure with Commander Drago we should drop out of warp to check this out. We can still make our dead line at warp 8.5 if this because unstable then we wont make it at all." Looking from Commander Drago to Captain Tras thinking this wasn't going to end well " Futher more sir you are required to head the warning for the safety of the ship and its crew as well as for the safety on the mission it wont do us any good if we blow up before we get there. Futher more there are high warp shuttle's in the landing bay you can always send a advance party if it should take longer to repair" <Tag Tras>
Pride: " I would also like to add that Commander Drago is following starfleet Regs by warning you and this is no fault of his owne these things happen it should not take long to repair sir"

Tras flicked his eyes from the commander towering over him to the lieutenant still standing near the navigations console. "Your objection is noted," he answered, "but we will not drop out of warp. Engineering will have to keep monitoring the warpcore and the matter/antimatter mixing chambers."
His gaze flicked back to Drago. "I will tell you one more time commander, sit down!" When the disgraced commanding officer did not, Tras gracefully rose to his feet. "I am getting the distinct feeling you are trying to pick a fight. Very well then. Pride, take the helm, and that's an order. Eveyone else, keep to your stations!"
Tras pulled off his uniform jacket and tossed it into his seat, then took on a defensive position, shielding his face with his fists, putting his left leg slightly behind his right for balance, his knees lightly bent. "Fight me," he ordered, "let's get this powerplay of yours over with. You've been defying my orders ever since I came aboard, now it's time to put a stop to it. And as I doubt a little brig time will do you any good, perhaps this will."

Pride: Couldn't believe what was going to happen Captain Tras and Commander Drag were going to fight it out here on the bridge in front of everybody and to top it off Captain Tras had only noted his objection and wanted engineering to monitor. " This is crazy he said loud enough for everybody to hear I've had enough of this you Captain Tras have taken every privilege due a commanding officer and smacked us in the face you have degraded our commanding officer Commander Drago every chance you could get and have thrown the welfare of this ship and crew out the window in the name of a mission now you want to fight Commander Drago on the bridge that is not going to happen you two are going to work this out in private and not in front of the crew and by what every gods you pray to not on this bridge you can send me to the brig if you want I don't care you can charge with what ever you want but if either of you lay a hand on each other on this bridge or in openness of the crew. I will lock out the nav system setting course for the nearest star base and let them sort it out I'm not joking you 2 either take it to your briefing room the holodeck but you will not do it here and if you think I'm joking, Computer begin Pride one alpha one on my mark. Now Sirs the ball is in your court" <Tag Tras and Drago>Looking back at his console and checking the read outs to make sure there were no changes in the warp core.
Pride: Looked back at his commanding officer who he hated and the man he had come to respect Commander Drago " I'm not joking you can ask Commander Drago how serious I'm I've learned allot on our last mission and you wont break the lock before we reach star base. I will be waiting for security to escort me to the brig but that wont stop me from activating the program you two either take it in private or I'll do it" Looking around the bridge hoping to get some kind of support in this pride waited to see what options he had left. He was not going to let commanding officer fight on the bridge no matter how badly he wanted to see Captain tras get his butt kicked.

Tras glared at the young navigations chief, acknowledging to himself that he hadn't anticipated this move while admiring his guts. He nodded once. "Drago, my readyroom," he ordered, "now commander, or I'll drag you there myself."
He glanced at Anderson. "Miss Anderson, the bridge is yours. And do not even think of altering any of my given orders. When Commander Cavit decides to grace us with her charming presence, fill her in, leave nothing out. And tell her my orders are standing, if she so much as changes even one bit of them, she'll find herself relieved. Understood?"
(Anderson)
Tras turned his back on Drago and preceded him into the readyroom. Once Drago entered behind him Tras stood leaning against his desk, his eyes flashing in fury. "Now where were we? Oh yes..." Tras resumed his defensive position. "Please, hold nothing back," he mock-pleaded.

Pride: Felt the breath he had been holding run out of him, he knew he was going to be in big trouble for what he had done but to be honest he feared Commander Drago more then he feared Captain tras. Nodding his head to Captain Tras making sure he heard and saw him honor his part off the deal. " Computer cancel pride one alpha" Looking back down at his console perhaps for the last time as a star fleet officer. " Captain Tras I will wait for security to escort me to the brig or may I escort my self to await charges" <Tag Tras>

Tras turned before marching off towards his readyroom. "You have your orders lieutenant, I suggest you follow them. Why would I want you in the brig when you are the only person capable of decently flying this ship? Now, snap to it, and no more questions. Warn me when we're nearig Karn IV, and only then are you allowed to drop us out of warp. And stop repeating every order i give back at me, it is childish and a waste of breath."

Pride: Was shocked and a little worried but for once on this mission he wasn't going to push it. " Understood sir" Pride figured if the Captain can finaly give alittle especialy on this matter then he could give alittle back. Looking back down at his console and thinking about Illito for a moment wondering how she was doing then thinking its time for her to get updated because some one's goind to need a doctor and it wont be commander Drago.
Pride: Signaled Illito and sent her a full report not leaving anything out and warning not to come running up her there was nothing should would be able to do. He just didn't want her caught off guard with somebody coming down to get treated for being in a fight he also sent a little extra message letting her know that he missed her.

Pride: Doubled checked his readings on warp matrix they were still outed of wack but holding. Then standing up he walked over to Commander Apirana " Sir we need to do something about this if those 2 go to blows its not going to be good for anybody not for this ship or Commander Drago somebody has it in for him and will use this against him. I dont know what else to do accept flood the ready room with sleeping gas to prevent it from happening. Captain Tras had left sickbay, and Illito relaxed fractionally to see him gone. Not a single member of the senior staff had responded to Illito's request for sickbay physicals, even to say they were busy and unable to come down for a few hours. Illito figured that was going to make her job harder, since she assumed no one was just going to show up. After all, with the starting of the new mission there would probably be enough to occupy the senior staff without them having to be hauled down to sickbay. Still, Illito would have liked to know for sure that no one was coming down for a while, since then she could try to get some work done in other areas for sickbay.
But now that Tras was gone Illito walked back into her office, keeping an eye on the door in case anyone came through wanting medical help. “Computer, locate Lieutenant Pride,” Illito asked.
“Lieutenant Pride is on the bridge,” the computer informed Illito, and she sighed softly to herself; she'd missed him again. She had decided to tell him about his own expected sickbay physical when her computer chirped. Illito walked over to it to see what the problem was, and saw a message from Pride himself.
“In the name of the Obsidian Order,” Illito muttered as she started to re-read the information from Pride. What was happening on the bridge was completely and utterly ridiculous and if Illito thought she could have made the slightest bit of difference she would have been on the bridge herself. Of course she couldn't really do much, except emergency beam both of the men down to sickbay, but that wouldn't do anything except delay this conflict.
“Computer,” Illito ordered, thinking about what she could do. “Monitor the life signs of both Captain Tras and Commander Drago, and if they become injured inform me, and if it's a serious injury emergency beam them down to sickbay, with my authorization.”
“Processing,” the computer replied, and Illito shrugged. That was the best she could do at the moment, since Pride had said she wouldn't be able to do anything from the bridge.
Then Illito tapped her commbadge, and started to talk while tapping out a response to Pride's message. =/\=Illito to Lt. Pride, Captain Tras has ordered new sickbay physicals of everyone, so if you get a chance to come down to sickbay could you please do so.=/\= As Illito was awaiting acknowledgment from Pride she finished the message she was sending to his console that read 'Thanks for letting me know about everything. I miss you too. How are you holding up? '

Paikea couldn't believe the sight before his eyes. They had to be playing tricks on him. Never had he thought that two Starfleet officer's, commanding officers at that, would actually come to blow on the bridge. Paikea relaxed a bit when Pride interrupted the captain, but of course Tras was ready and quickly put his attention back to Drago. When Tras ordered Drago to accompany him into the readyroom, Paikea was sure that he was actually going to go through with the fight.
Both of the men silently and slowly walked into the readyroom. Paikea hoped that they would resolve there problems like civilized people.
"Katie, what do you think about this?" Paikea asked glad that it was her and not Semia left in charge. If she was here, she would of blown up on Tras and maybe even Drago.
<Tag Katie>
"Sir we need to do something about this if those 2 go to blows its not going to be good for anybody not for this ship or Commander Drago somebody has it in for him and will use this against him. I dont know what else to do accept flood the ready room with sleeping gas to prevent it from happening. We have to stop this its not going to be good for the mission or the rest of the crew"
"Well Lt. I don't think we can do that," Paikea said as he actually thought of flooding the ready room with sleeping gas," but your right we will have to stop this and I'm going to try to end this."
Paikea knew that he could get in a lot of trouble, but that didn't matter. Though if he was provoked he would not hesitate to put both men in there place. Tras and Drago might be sure in there abilities and be pretty good, but Paikea was notn champion for nothing.
"Captain, may I speak freely?" Paikea asked, but did not let Tras respond," what the hell are you two doing?"

Katie stood in shock as she watched two grown men acting as if they were children in a school yard. She wanted to do something but knew anything she tried would be immediately rebutted by Captain Tras. So like everybody else Katie stood in silence as the drama continued to unfold. It wasn't until Lt. Pride finally spoke up that the situation become some what under control.
"Yes sir." Katie sheepishly replied.
"Katie, what do you think about this?" Paikea asked.
"I think we have a Captain that would excel as a Klingon officer rather than a Starfleet officer." Katie said.
Katie walked from her station to the Captain's chair. She felt strange sitting in it because there were more qualified and high ranking officers already on the bridge. Katie couldn't help but smile though, the bridge looked so much different from this chair. Katie noticed the bridge looked much bigger from up here.
"Everything is so big." Katie whispered.
Katie didn't know if anybody had heard her comment but she quickly placed her fingers over her lips as if to conceal her words. Katie turned her head to Paikea. She couldn't help but smile in his direction. Katie could feel the eyes of everybody on the bridge looking at her as if they were waiting for her to say something. She could only think of one thing.
"Resume our original course Lt." Katie said.
OCC: Oooh this is soooo exciting! I've never been in the big chair!

Pride: Was relieved to know that Commander Apirana felt the same way "Well Lt. I don't ," think we can do that," but your right we will have to stop this and I'm going to try to end this." Looking at Apirana " Thank you sir I was alittle worried I was the only one but now I realize that I don't stand alone and that means allot to me there's only so much I can do I'm only Lt but your a commander and no matter what happens star fleet will listen to you thanks" Walking back to his station and noticing kate.
Pride: Looking at kate he could tell she was enjoying the center seat he smile at her thinking to himself it looks good on her maybe she will transfer to command he heard her orders "Resume our original course Lt." sitting down at his station and double checking his reading on the warp matrix and turning back to face here " We are are track to arrive in 3hrs warp matrix is still out of aline meant but holding Mam" Making sure she saw the smile on his face. When pride looked back he saw he had a message from Illito.'Thanks for letting me know about everything. I miss you too. How are you holding up? '.
Pride: Was surprised when his comm badge signaled him and he heard Illito vocie to report to sick bay. Turning to kate and asking permission to report to sick bay she nodded her head boy she's got this down pact. Getting up from his station he headed for sickbay all the way there he couldn't stop smiling he was going to see Illito he didn't know if he was ever going to see her outside a brig again after arriving in sick he saw Illito in her office by herself.
Pride: Walked into here office he couldn't help him self he had never tried hugging her yet but he had missed her alot and was worried about her, He walked around to where she was sitting and hugged her alittle more then maybe he should have but he cared about her so much " I never thought I would see you outside a cell I'm so sorry if I put you on the spot that was never my intention"<Tag Illito>

Illito was surprised by Pride's hug, but as soon as she passed the instant of surprise, she returned the hug, and smiled at him. “ I never thought I would see you outside a cell I'm so sorry if I put you on the spot that was never my intention,” Pride apologized.
“Put me on the spot?” Illito repeated, incredulous, but she wasn't quite sure what to say to assure him that she hadn't had any problem caused for herself, that he shouldn't have to worry about that anyway, and that she had been far more worried about him being stuck in the brig alone. “You don't have to be concerned about me,” Illito said.
“So,” she asked, not making any definitive moves about starting Pride's sickbay physical because she was hoping he could stay in sickbay as long as possible, “What punishment did our 'honoured captain'” Illito laced the two words with as much sarcasm as she could, “Consign you to?” Illito glanced up to meet Pride's eyes, hoping he hadn't actually been reprimanded beyond the time in the brig, but she doubted that would actually be the case.

Pride: Was feeling better while he was hugging Illito, She hadn't asked him to stop yet but he was keeping a eye out in case somebody walked in. He had no desire to make things hard for her with her staff When she asked him a question “You don't have to be concerned about me,” Looking her in the eyes " Thats a little hard for me to do, you are always on my mind and the first and last person I worry about no matter whats going on"
Pride: Knew she wasn't in a hurry to get the physical started and listend as she asked him if anything else had happened “What punishment did our 'honoured captain'” Illito laced the two words with as much sarcasm as she could, “Consign you to?” Looking and smiling at her
" For the moment nothing other then double shifts and being confined to my quarters after shift although after my last stunt on the bridge who knows. This is stupind you know to grown men duking it out. I was hoping they might talk it out but my little stunt only made them take it in private but I couldn't allow that to happen on the bridge. I dont know what else to do Illito things aren't right the more I learn what it means to be human the more I understand my adoptive parents that humans aren't ready to learn how to use the power of there minds" <Tag Illito> Releasing her from his hug and walking around to face her just incase somebody walked in " We reach the planet in 3hrs but before we begin there's something else I want to tell you Just as I watch how the commanding officer act I'ev also come to learn that there are things about being human I enjoy and thats I feel about you I would not trade that for anything no matter what. I dont know whats going to happen to me and the rest of us on this mission but one thing is certain you are the most importan thing in my life and I wont trade that. I might have to do things that dont make sense but the safety of this ship and crew and you tell me that I must do something to try and stop this maddness" <Tag Illito> Looking at her again want to show her how much she means to him how he felt about her " I'm not quite sure how to express to you how importan you are and how you keep me going right now there are somethings that are still new to me but if there is a god then maybe I will get the chance to show you"

Luke rolled his eyes. Melodrama never went down well with him. He often wondered why people bothered with it. The whol dramatic air of events didn't prove anything and more often than not led to the sever annoyance of everyone present.
Instead of gracing the pompous fool with a response Luke slowly sidestepped the ACO and sat down in his chair. He motioned for Tras to take the other seat.
"What are you playing at Drago?" He snapped.
"Grown ups." Luke replied. "It's called talking through an issue instead of fighting over it. Something we both seem to have a problem with."
Tras remained motionless, staring at the now smiling Drago. Before he could speak the doors to the Ready Room hissed open and Apirana briskly strode into the room.
"Captain, may I speak freely?" Paikea asked, but did not let Tras respond. "What the hell are you two doing?"
"We were actually just about to have a little chat, weren't we Captain?" Luke said, now unable to expose a full blown, toothy grin. He could always rely on a concerned member of the Senior Staff of any vessel to show concern that usually was misinterpreted as rudeness. He knew this because more often that not it used to be him...

Tras scowled in Drago's direction, then glared at Apirana. "Do you always continue speaking before actually receiving permission to speak freely?" he challenged, "it seems to be common happening on this vessel. From now on, if you ask permission for something you wait until permission is given, is that understood?"
(Apirana)
"Good, now get back to your station! I want to be informed as soon as we arrive at Karn IV, and not a second too late either! When we get in range, start scanning the system. Even whatever you deem irrelevant, I want to see in your report, and I want it explained why you would deem it relevant or irrelevant."
Tras glared back at Drago. "This crew is inefficient, disrespectful for command, and ill-trained." Now he glanced back at Apirana who had lingered in the doorway. "Get security to start drills," he ordered, "and get that Cavit woman to the bridge. It's taken her long enough to report for duty. If she's not here in ten minutes, beam her to the brig. And I will not be disobeyed!"
Once the Human officer had left the readyroom, Tras turned on Drago. "We will settle this, and not with words," he challenged, "consider this a physical test. You and me, until the first one passes out. A fair fight." He pulled Drago back to his feet by the front of his tunic and pulled him closer until they were nose to nose. "You will fight me," he ordered, "and if I win, you will follow every order I give you to the letter, without questioning me on the bridge. If you win, you can question my orders albeit in private, and I'll get Pride off your back."
He took a step back, then raised his fists in front of his face again, stepping his left foot backwards, bending slightly through his knees. "Let's get this settled," he challenged, then punched forward once, catching Drago on his shoulder, sending him stumbling back.

“I dont know what else to do Illito things aren't right the more I learn what it means to be human the more I understand my adoptive parents that humans aren't ready to learn how to use the power of there minds,” Pride told Illito, releasing her from the hug.
Illito nodded, but she didn't actually quite agree. The whole 'humans aren't ready' struck her as a little bit patronizing. And maybe learning to use the power of their minds could actually help humanity. Plus there was the whole problem of trying to judge a society or species, which Illito had a naturally negative reaction to. But Illito wasn't sure, which was part of why she didn't say anything. The other was that she didn't want to get into an argument with Pride now, or, indeed, ever. After all, he was just too good to be true, and she didn't want to do anything that she thought might jeopardize their relationship.
It was almost like he could read her mind and her worries, the way Pride replied. Illito wondered briefly if he could, since he could read Angel's, but Illito had been under the impression that was a special circumstance and besides Pride probably would have told her if he could, right?
“I might have to do things that dont make sense but the safety of this ship and crew and you tell me that I must do something to try and stop this maddness.”
“Of course,” Illito said, understanding Pride's desire to do something to stop Captain Tras from just continuing on his apparently planned path of provoking a mutiny. She herself wished she could do something, and she would do something if she could, even though she went about the situation in a different way than Pride did. She just didn't feel comfortable in a direct confrontation with authority, even when the authority was in such an unlikeable form as Captain Tras didn't mean all the orders Tras gave were wrong.
“ I'm not quite sure how to express to you how important you are and how you keep me going right now there are somethings that are still new to me but if there is a god then maybe I will get the chance to show you”
Illito wasn't quite sure what Pride meant specifically from all that, except that he was far more eloquent that she could manage to be, and she certainly got the general picture. Still she didn't know just what she would indeed say as response. 'Me too' sounded a little flat, even though it was how she felt. “We'll have lots of time,” Illito said, half-intended as an assurance for herself, and half for him, and half as a wish for the future.
“I don't know how you can keep standing up to Captain Tras,” Illito admitted to Pride, admiring him slightly. “If I'm ever going to I just start to think that it won't make much of a difference anyway,” Illito said, “Even though I know there would be some value in just showing that I don't agree with his decisions.”

Pride: Looked at Illito across from her desk " I need to say I'm sorry I know that I'm being to broad with my feeling right now. I know that its not all humans and I"m being unfair, I can see that now in my self with saying that. I know that there are bad apples no matter what race you come from" Looking at here Illito again and smiling when she said something “I don't know how you can keep standing up to Captain Tras,” Smiling back at her wishing he could hug her again "I'm only doing what we all know is right and I'm not standing alone now more of the bridge officers are also starting to say something. Hopefully we'll be able to sort things out before we reach the planet" <Tag Illito> Looking at her again wishing she could feel his emotions and know what she meant to him
Pride: Looking and listening to her talk again If I'm ever going to I just start to think that it won't make much of a difference anyway,” Illito said, “Even though I know there would be some value in just showing that I don't" Shaking his head not want to disagree with her but want her to understand her position " Listen Illito you walk a very fine line right now, you are the only officer aboard who can relieve the captain I'm not telling you to do this but you have to stay out of this. If it comes down to where you might have to relieve him and I'm not saying you will you have to remain outside this problem. You have to show that your decision was based on your medical opion and not emotion not that you would do anything to suggest anything else. But if your on record disagree openly with the captain then your medical decision will always be in question no matter how right you are for doing it"<Tag Illito>
pride: Could tell she was thinking of a response to what he had said " There is one other thing when my sister came aboard the bond we share is emotional. I don't read here mind just her emotions and try translate what she thinking. You haven't asked about it out of respect for me, but I didn't want you to think that I could read minds or something. I can interupt emotions with people I bond too. I can also interupt emotions sometime from people who openly show them I'm not always right about what they are think but sometimes I'am"

"Do you always continue speaking before actually receiving permission to speak freely?" he challenged, "it seems to be common happening on this vessel. From now on, if you ask permission for something you wait until permission is given, is that understood?"
"Aye sir," Paikea said holding his tongue. At that very moment he wanted to strike both men. Tras for being himself and Drago for pushing him.
"Good, now get back to your station! I want to be informed as soon as we arrive at Karn IV, and not a second too late either! When we get in range, start scanning the system. Even whatever you deem irrelevant, I want to see in your report, and I want it explained why you would deem it relevant or irrelevant."
Paikea hesitated for a second, but he left the readyroom and immediately contacted Semia.
=^=Semia what the hell is wrong, your duty shift started four hours ago. The new Captain is angry and will do something if you don't show up quickly.=^=

Everyone on the bridge was looking at Paikea now, wanting to know what had happened.
"There going to go through with it," Paikea said as he got to his station and did as Tras ordered. It was idiotic to ask for so much information, but he had to follow his orders.
"Katie, how far away are we from the planet?" Paikea asked pleased that at least his friends were here.
