Pride: Looked at Illito and checked the time. " I"ev got to get back to the bridge we will droping out of warp soon with the warpcore out of sorts I need to be there, I promise to return as soon as I can" <Tag Illito>
Pride: Returned to the bridge and assumed his station. When he noticed to message one for Captain Tras and one for him self. It appeared he had been permoted to LT Commander smiling thinking this was going to drive Captain Tras nuts. Just then Pride received a hail from starfleet Command the admiral on the other end of the message was informing him of his permotion and wanting to talk to Captain Tras to inform him as well. " hold for a minute admiral I will conect you to captain tras"
Pride: chimed into the captains ready room and could hear some kind of fight occuring. " Captain Tras you have a incoming hail from star fleet command concerning me the admiral would like to talk to you. Will also be dropping out of warp in 5 mins to enter the system. Warp core his holding steady but it might be a bumpy ride coming out warp I will do what I can. May I patch the admiral throught to you now?" <Tag Tras>

Pride checked the time, and said he had to leave soon. “Just a second,” Illito said, grabbing her tricorder from her desk. She scanned Pride with it, only taking a few moments. “There,” she said, and Pride hurried off.
Illito watched him leave sickbay, then turned to the computer to upload the information from the tricorder to his file. The results really weren't all that different from the last time she had done a medical physical of Pride, not so very long ago. Which was why Illito hadn't had to do anymore than have a scan taken; she trusted that if Pride had developed an allergy he would have mentioned it and she already knew his medical history from the last physical.
After she had finished with that, Illito tidied up her office a little bit, and wished briefly she had done that before Pride had seen its state of slight disrepair. However there was no way for it to be helped now. As Illito was thinking she saw someone entering sickbay; a Bolian Lieutenant in yellow uniform.
Illito stepped out of office, and thought briefly, trying to remember the name of the officer who had entered.
“Lieutenant Gray, right?” Illito asked.
“Yeah,” Aeryn Gray replied. “I heard you were starting to redo sickbay physicals, and since you just started I figured now would be when you have the least people coming down.”
Illito nodded. “Unfortunately that is true.”
Aeryn sat down on one of the biobeds as Illito started the tricorder scan. “So how is engineering?” Illito asked.
Aeryn shrugged. “Pretty much a disaster area.”
Illito frowned. “I'm sorry to hear that.”
“You're not the only one. It's not absolutely horrible, but certainly not running at top efficiency,” Aeryn said, since she viewed anything less than that as pretty much a disaster on its own. And it didn't help that whoever the Chief Engineer was wasn't taking charge.
Illito picked up the tricorder when it chirped its finish, and glanced at Aeryn.
“Done?” Aeryn asked.
“Unless you've developed some health issues since last time...”
Aeryn shook her head.
“Then that's all. Thank you for coming down, I appreciate it.”

"We will settle this, and not with words," Tras challenged. "Consider this a physical test. You and me, until the first one passes out. A fair fight."
He pulled Drago back to his feet by the front of his tunic and pulled him closer until they were nose to nose. Luke squinted, staring right back at the demanding fool.
"You will fight me." He ordered. "And if I win, you will follow every order I give you to the letter, without questioning me on the bridge. If you win, you can question my orders albeit in private, and I'll get Pride off your back."
Luke smiled, and pulled himself away from Tras. He said if. He wasn't quite as confident as he would have Luke believe.
He took a step back, then raised his fists in front of his face again, stepping his left foot backwards, bending slightly through his knees. "Let's get this settled," he challenged, then punched forward once, catching Drago on his shoulder, sending him stumbling back.
Luke grimaced as the punch hit him. He was a little shocked that Tras was actually willing to go ahead with this. The logical thing to do at this time was call Secuirty, throw him in the Brig and allow Command to deal with him. Unfortunately Luke didn't deal with logic that often, and when he did it was his own brand.
"Will you not defend yourself Commander?" Tras sneered. He was now walking round Drago in a tight circle. Again with the melodrama...
"Computer, deactivate the artificial gravity, Ready Room, Deck 1." Luke ordered.
Before Tras could even think about yelling belay that the computer confirmed Luke's voice pattern and the situation suddenly became a lot more interesting.
"30 years from now I became quite the expert at Zero-G combat." Luke said. "And then I had about 5years to practice the said skills in extreme battle conditions." He said this whilst using the wall as a springboard, smacking the startled Tras in the face with his boot before grabbing onto the edge of the large window that adorned the back of the Ready Room. Luke know hung, bat-like, from the ceiling.
"Something tells me your not quite such an expert." He said, grinning ear to ear. Which made quite a startling image, what with the Commander being upside down and all.

Pride: Waited for a response from Captain Tras, While doing that he did a interanl scan of the ready room and noticed the Gravity was switched off going throught the the recored too see who switched off he noticed it was ordered by Commander Drago. He started to chuckle thinking to himself. Your the one who poked the bear Tras and now the bear is poking back.
Pride: Went into the system and instructed the computer to only accept Commander Drago vocie print in order to switch the Gravity back on. Then he covered his tracks to make it look like a system error. There you go Commander Drago lets make sure he cant switch it back on unless you want it on. When the computer was ordered to switch it back on it would tell who ever gave it that order that Commander Drago was the only who could authorize it.
Pride: Looked at Commander apirana and signaled him over to show him what he had found. Thinking he might get a kick out it. Still waiting for a response from Captain Tras and with a admiral on hold. " Captain Tras the admiral is waiting and he is not very happy about it you might want to talk to him before he looses his temper" <Tag Tras>

Tras was sent tumbling head over heelsm smacking to a halt against the bulkhead on the other end of the readyroom. He fought down nausea and glared at the upside-down commander. "That is hardly a fair fight," he scowled as he nursed his jaw, "but if this is how you want to play it...."
Using his feet for balance, he thrust himself forward with all his might and slammed into Drago, knocing the wind from the man's lungs. "Commander Pride kindly follow given orders of non-disturbance," he snapped over the comlink, "the admiral will wait until this matter is settled. Tell him it is personal and important, tell him I am discipining a disobedient officer and that I'll get back to him asap!"
Tras returned his attention to the gasping Drago, who lashed out at him again. While Tras had no intention of losing, he did doubt if he would win. He didn't like zero-G as it disoriented him because of an inner-ear problem he had which caused partial deafness he had managed to hide so far. His deafness made him an excellent lip-reader, but made him lose his bearings in zero-G.
"Computer, restore gravity. Ignore further orders for gravity changes." The computer acknowledged and both men tumbled to the deck. "Continue," Tras ordered, taking up the defense again, "and please, don't hold back."
(Drago)
------much later -------
Tras faced the angry looking admiral as he quietly explained what had been going on, and the problems he'd been facing ever since coming aboard. "However we're in orbit of Karn IV now. What are your orders?"

Pride: Didn't have time to fight with Captain Tras he put the admiral on hold and started to bring the ship out of warp. Suddenly system started over load from the strain on the warp core being out of alinement. Ship started to rock with out even thinking pride started to get things under control and sent the ship to red alert. " Captain to the bridge possible warp core breach in progress." <Tag Tras>
Pride started shouting to Apirana" I need more power to thruster and the containment field for the warp core. I also need a plan trojectry to try and slow us down using what ever gravity well you can find" <Tag Apirana>
Pride: Glanced back at Kate "This is going to get alot worse before it gets better you might want to warn sickbay the ride isn't going to be smooth" <Tag Kate>
Pride Looked down at his read outs they weren't slowing down trying to alter his course so they wouldn't run into the planet was becoming hard there to many course changes he was having to Make when he made one there were another 2 waiting. " Commander Drago I need a hand helm there are to many course changes and to much information coming in. I need someone to clean it up and only look at what I need"<Tag Drago>

As the gravity returned to normal Luke fell to the floor, however managing to avoid any serious injury. He sprung to his feet immediately but was distracted by a shift in the speed of the Scavenger. Tras clearly didn't notice and yet again was rabbiting on.
Before Pride's voice came over the comm to Tras Luke was heading for the door, something was seriously wrong. Luke knew what a Ship at Warp was supposed to feel like and this was not it.
=^= Captain to the bridge possible warp core breach in progress =^=
"Come back and finish this!" Tras yelled as Luke was about to step out of the door.
"Gladly." Luke said, spinning round and planting a heavy fist onto the side of the smug Captain's face. Immediately knocking him to the floor.
"Don't push me." Luke said to the now sprawled out Tras before stepping onto the Bridge, straightening his Uniform jacket.
"Status report!" He barked.
"Commander Drago I need a hand at the helm. There are too many course changes and too much information coming in. I need someone to clean it up and then I only have to look at what I need."
"Understood Lt." Luke said, moving over to one of the unused consoles at the back of the Bridge. "I'm going to take over the inputting of flight information, all you have to do is pilot the ship."
<TAG Pride>
"Engineering I need you to get us out of Warp by any means possible!"
Luke didn't bother waiting for a response, instead he set about attempting to get the Scavenger off her current course setting. There would be one large dent in Karn IV if he didn't.
"I need an update on the status of the Warp Containment field now!" Luke yelled over the din of the strained hull and the emergency sirens. "And someone turn off that forsaken noise!"

Pride: Smiled when he saw Commander Drago walk out of the ready room with out Captain Tras. The next thing he knew Commander Drago was taking charge and for once dureing this mission things felt right and that they might make it through this in one peice. With Commander Dragos help pride was getting the information he needed. Still trying to pilot a ship at warp was no easy feet it wasn't designed for course changes like he was doing.
Pride: Heard Drago yelling someone turn off that forsaken noise!" automaticly pride killed that alarm noise. " I still need a gravity well or something to try and slow our speed trying to think of something while to slow them down was not easy pride was trying to change the flight path of the ship so they wouldn't hit the planet. The ship was really responding that well it couldn't handle big changes only little ones and it wasn't enought to clear the planet. Looking at the flight path " Commander Drago impact in 2 mins 25 secs" <Tag Drago>
Pride: " Commander Apirana I really could use some information right now anything to slow this ship down" <Tag Apirana>

The Scavenger had finally reached there destination and almost as soon as they did things got even worse. For some reason control of all navigational systems was lost and the Scavenger entered warp drive. They would reach the planet in a matter of minutes and if Pride didn't stop the ship it wouldn't matter if Tras and Drago fought each other.
"I need more power to thruster and the containment field for the warp core. I also need a plan trojectry to try and slow us down using what ever gravity well you can find"
"You'll get it, but containment is completely down," Paikea reported," if Engineering doesn't get containment back up we will have to try to eject the warp core."
That was of course easier said than done. Warp ejection in warp drive was dangerous already, but without containment things were a lot more complicated.
"I need an update on the status of the Warp Containment field now!" Luke yelled over the din of the strained hull and the emergency sirens. "And someone turn off that forsaken noise!"
"Containment is still down, engineering is working as hard as they can," Paikea reported as he turned off the claxons." If we don't slow down we will hit the planet in 3 minutes."

Tras had meant to pull Drago back to finish the fight, but the sudden swing towards his face caught him by surprise. He was knocked flat to the deck and lay sprawled as Drago stepped over him onto the bridge. It took a few seconds to regain his senses and when he got up Tras felt utterly dizzy. That was two blows to the head he had received, both of which he hadn't seen coming. He's good Tras mused, as he scrambled back to his feet and as dignified as possible re-entered the bridge.
He tugged at his tunic and ran a hand through his hair to reposition a few stray auburn hairs. He cast a glare at Drago though the ex-captain was dutifully manning the navigations controls, with Pride alongside him joining the battle. "Drop the warpcore," Tras ordered, "we are at warp I know that, and I also am aware of the dangers involved but if we eject the core we'll drop out of warp. We can recover it later if needed, or request a tow home."
He took a few insecure steps towards Drago and Pride, and there was no more menace in his demeanor as he walked. "You figh good," he commented Drago, as he unsteadily approached. Then without warning he collapsed to the deck, a belated reaction to the two strikes to his head in combination with his hearing problem.

Pride: Didn't even know Captain Tras was on the bridge until he was standing next to him and Drago. When he heard Captain Tras order "Drop the warpcore," Tras ordered, "we are at warp I know that, and I also am aware of the dangers involved but if we eject the core we'll drop out of warp. We can recover it later if needed, or request a tow home."
Pride: Couldn't beleave what he was hearing when he heard Captain Tras hit the deck blacking out. Trying to stay focused on what he was doing he turned to drago " Sir I dont think thats a wise idea even with the risk this core isn't stable which means the risk are alot higher if it blows we wont have power for shields. I know we are running out time so my thought is to over taxes the core. reroute the power to other system. We will burn them out but I think it will work. The only way I'll eject this core is if you tell me to I wont do it on Captain Tras order its his fault we are in the postion I'll trust your judgement over his anyday of the week" <Tag Drago>

Aeryn was most of the way back to engineering when the ship shuddered once. “Blood and ashes,” she muttered, and ran the rest of the way to engineering. She arrived, and couldn't see the person in charge of engineering. That didn't mean there wasn't one, but Aeryn wasn't sure either that there was an assigned person. So she began to take charge. It was quite likely that she was going to get in trouble later, after all, Commander Apirana had made it very clear she wasn't in a command of engineering position, but right now that was the absolute last thing on her mind.
“Jasons, Kyar, Nabavian” Aeryn said, picking three people she saw more or less at random, since every engineering officer had been drilled in what to do during a warp core breach, “I need you to pump coolant back into the warpcore. Breheny, Roser, Tiede, Kirkhart, do what you can to stabilize the magnetic field.”
Aeryn was heading over to the warp core herself when she heard an announcement from the bridge. =/\=Engineering I need you to get us out of Warp by any means possible!=/\=
=/\=Yes sir,=/\= she replied. She was going to do that anyway, or at least try her absolute best. Obviously computer-initiated shutdown wasn't working, which left a manual shutdown or deliberately filling the computer system with a virus that would drain power from the warp core, forcing it to shut down. A manual shutdown would be faster though, more likely to work, and less likely to affect the whole ship even more negatively if it didn't work. Or, for that matter, even if it did.
“Lt. Osnoe, I'm going to try a manual shutdown. If it looks like I'm not going to finish in time I want you to release one of the backup computer viruses to drain power, keep it isolated to the warp core though.”
Aeryn approached the warp core, frowned briefly, then grabbed the appropriate tool for the job. Manually shutting down a warp core was almost never recommended, since it was a very risky maneuver, that failed frequently. Aeryn herself had failed it the first five times she had tried it, as a holodeck simulation. At that point she had already practically failed that engineering class itself, but even with it no longer counting for a grade she had been intrigued by the problem, until she had been able to do it fairly consistently time, without the computer telling her she had failed and died. Of course that had been in a holodeck, with rather controlled circumstances.
Aeryn continued to think about first doing this while she worked, rather than just thinking about what might happen. After all, if the warp core couldn't be contained in time they were all going to die anyway.
A few tense moments later Aeryn suddenly jerked back from the warp core's side, then warily backed away some more. The ship shuddered again, then slowed down but stayed in warp. Aeryn frowned at the warpcore, she couldn't think of anything to do about it now. The computer virus approach would likely take away the Scavenger's ability to even eject the warp core, which at this point wasn't worth it. After all, while the ship could quite possible explode, at least it was a slightly lower possibility.
=/\=Engineering to Bridge=/\= Aeryn started, planning to advise an immediate ejection of the warp core.
“Wait,” Ensign Kyar advised her.
=/\=Hold, sorry=/\=Aeryn told the bridge, and glanced at Kyar to tell him to talk quickly.
“We've slowed down enough the process of the warp core breach,” his words hurried out in a rush. “That the possibilities of it breaching are much less than if we keep it onboard the ship.”
“Right.” Aeryn said. She thought, and verified his conclusion quickly, after he had thought of it, so she'd advise the bridge of that. “Thanks.” =/\=Bridge. I advise warp core ejection, we can't get it completely contained. However if we eject it we may be able to stop the warp core breach=/\=

Illito felt the ship shudder, and instantly recognized that as a bad sign. A voice she recognized as Katie's informed her that the ride wasn't going to get smoother anytime soon.
Then the emergency alarms were going off for a while, which was a wholly discouraging sound. They were turned off soon enough though, but Illito wasn't sure if that was good or bad, since for those in the body of the ship it left them ignorant as to how extreme the threat, and Illito included herself among those. She was fairly certain, based on the few updates she was getting from the bridge, that the turning off of the alarm did not mean the threat was over, just that it was going to continue for a while. But a lot of people were missing that information, and Illito couldn't help worrying slightly about them.
However, with the ship red alert alarm off she heard a faint beeping coming from her office. Illito checked sickbay to see that no one was rushing in that needed to be taken care of by her personally, and ducked quickly into her office. The alarm appeared to be from her monitor of Drago and Tras' life signs. Tras was unconscious now according to the scan of life signs. Illito tapped her commbadge. =/\=Emergency medical transport Captain Tras to sickbay=/\=
He materialized on the biobed, and Illito noted two recent marks on his face, that looked like punches. She was disgusted that he and Captain Drago had actually gone through with the fight, and didn't see how it could have solved anything. Still, a part of her was glad that Drago was the one who had actually apparently won.
Illito used the dermal regenerator carefully, and watched as Tras slowly came to consciousness. Then, content that he wasn't permanently hurt, she hurried away to see to a patient that had just come into sickbay, holding an injured hand.

Pride: Waited for a respones from Drago and after hearing the warp core might beable to eject he thought some more. The risk were high and the ship would be on back up power, but if they think the could eject it some what safely even still no main power and having to try and recover the core. Think there might be another way to do this but even that had risk but if it worked then they would still have main power.
pride: Turned to drago the already and set his plan in motion in case drago went for it. " Sir there is one last option the shuttle craft. If I take a shuttle out and engage the warp drive it would collaspe the Scavenger warp field which would drop the ship out of warp and allow us to keep the warp core. There are risk but I know what I need to do I have praticed it a couple of time with a 8 out of ten chance of it working. either way we do it the risk are the same I know I can do it" <Tag Drago> pride did hold something back each time he had done it he had been injured the stress on the shuttle was great and last time it nearly killed him but he didn't want drago knowing that and he didn't want commander drago doing it. He knew that if drag was lost the crew wouldn't beable to handle Captain tras.
Pride: Waited for a response and started the automatid prelaunch sequence on the shuttle. He also sent a report to Illito letting here know what was happening. He didn't include his plan he didn't want to worry her. Looking back at the read outs time was running out they would have to make a decision soon.
Pride: Looked at his former Captain thinking you are the reason I'm willing to take the risk. I wouldn't do this for Captain Tras unless ordered to, you on the other hand dont even need to ask just give me the word.

Tras moaned as he opened his eyes, but quickly shut them again as the ceiling seemed to rotate on its own axis. He barely remembered what happened and he couldn't quite determine his present location. Pressing a hand against his head, he struggled to sit up and fight the feeling of nausea. "What happened?" he croaked, as he caught Illito's glance from the other end of sickbay.
He hopped off the bed but had to grab it for support before he would crash back down to the deck. The bruises on his face were healed, but the nausea and headache remained. Drago's kick and punch had done some damage and he didn't doubt he was suffering from a severe concussion. Adding to that the rattling his brains had taken when he knocked his head on the deck, twice.
"I need to get back to the bridge," he told the doctor, holding up a hand to silence her coming protest, "you can monitor me if you wish darling but I'm going." Rather unsteadily, he left sickbay and headed for the bridge. "Report!" he ordered upon entering, then sagged down in the command chair, "where's Commander Pride?"
Tras glared at Drago. "Where's the navigator, and what is he up to. Why haven't we dropped out of warp yet and why haven't we dumped the core as per my orders?"

Pride: Watched Drago for what seemed like for ever before his shook his head saying yes " Do it" Pride looked and drago " See you later I do expect you to come and get me when this done" <Tag Drago>
Pride: "Computer one to beam to shuttle craft 2" As the computer began trans port pride dropped his combadge on his seat so if Captain Tras showed back up he couldn't beam him out of the shuttle. Pride appeared in shuttle and Ran to the pilot seat the computer had finished preflight. Pride rotated the shuttle around so that he would be going in the same direction of the Scavenger. Bring all the power the shuttle had on line and dumping it into the warp corp. Luckly the engineering crew had slowed the ship down some what and the shuttles warp core would be able to keep up.
Pride: Double check his read outs and punched it the shuttle dropped outside of the Scavenger and engaged warp. Pride watched as the warp bubbles collieded it was quite the light show he thought. Pride saw the Scavenger warp bubble collapse. The shuttle systems started to over load pride felt the engery jotl hit him. he was having a hard time trying to see, double checking his course he was headed straight for the planet impact in 5 secounds one chance. Just as the shuttle entered the atmospher pride fired thrusters using the last of his power trying to angle the shuttle for a remote mountain range wouldn't do to crash into someones yard. Pride watched as the mountain range became visible in the cockpit. This is going to hurt. The shuttle impacted into the mountain range pride felt the impact and pain shooting up his body. The shuttle crashed pride was thrown from the pilot seat to the back.
Pride: After the impact pride tryed to stand up but couldn't he had broken his leg. He could feel pain in his chest he was having a hard time breathing and he couldn't really see his vision from the power jolt had done somthing to sight. Pride tryed to stand again then the world went black.
OCC okay someone come and rescue my butt I have no intention of croaking.

Luke was no fool. He knew the situation and was well aware of the options, heck he was just about to go down to the Shuttle Hanger himself. He also knew that the stress on the Shuttle could possibly cause a fatality. Another reason why he was going to go to the Shuttle himself.
Luke leaned back in his chair, he frowned. Less than a minute and a half to go. He slowly nodded his head. "Do it." He paused. "Get back here as soon as possible."
Pride needed no more than that and within seconds he had transported off the Bridge to one of the smaller Shuttles. Luke sighed, there was something about pilots that just screamed reckless and stupid.
"I should be the one doing this." He muttered whilst taking over the helm. He was surprised at just how challenging it was to hold her steady. There was more wrong that issues with the containment field.
"Report!" Tras ordered upon entering, then sagged down in the Command Chair. "Where's Commander Pride?"
Luke snorted and ignored the question, focussing on the ever decreasing countdown and keeping the Ship steady.
Tras glared at Drago. "Where's the navigator, and what is he up to. Why haven't we dropped out of warp yet and why haven't we dumped the core as per my orders?"
Luke turned round. "He's saving our asses, and as for your orders a monkey could have come up with something better so I decided not to listen." He turned back round whilst adding the small question... "Problem?"
Before Tras could answer the Scavenger bucked violently sending several standing officers to the floor. The forward viewscreen showed an outstanding array of colour just before the Scavenger came to a startling halt. The crew on the Bridge could just make out something entering the planets atmosphere, a trail of smoke and light billowing from it.
"We have dropped out of Warp." Luke said, staring at the chronometer. 11.2 seconds.
"The Shuttle has impacted the planet on the Northern Hemisphere, on a particular large stretch of mountains." Apirana reported.
"Aknowledged." Luke said, standing up before Tras could make a move. "Send down an emergency party, I don't want to rist transporting Pride not knowing his condition. Make sure Tintagel goes down, that might make the difference between saving Pride's life or losing it."
"Ahem."
Luke groaned. "What?" He asked, now facing the standing Tras, certainly looking worse for wear.
"I believe you're doing my job." He said simply.
"Get in contact with the Karn Capital, we have some explaining to do." Luke ordered, ignoring Tras.
"Commander Drago!" Tras yelled.
"I am busy trying to run this Ship which you seem incapable of doing!" Luke yelled back.

Pride: Woke up after some time his body was in pain his vision still alittle blury but getting better. Laying still for a moment he began to open his mind to search with in himself, He knew he was in trouble. Even thoe he could heal himself Illito was right there were to many things wrong with him. He didn't have the energy to fix himself. The impact had banged him up pretty good. He could tell his lung was punctured he tasted blood and knew he was bleeding internaly. The broken leg was the least of his Problems, he was blocking out the pain but it was taxing not to mention he was having a hard time staying awake.
Pride: Layed there he knew if the Scavenger was safe Drago would get him. Pride chuckled alittle knowing if Captain Tras tried to stop him well if the first beating wasn't bad enought I hate to see what this one would be like. Laying there he thought about Illito hoping he might see her again. He knew his time was short if help didn't come soon he wasn't going to make it. Trying to extend his life Pride close his eyes and started to slow his heart beat. that would slow down the bleeding for awhile but he had never tryed to slow it down this much. Putting all his energy into he felt his heart slow to the point of one beat per min he knew he wouldn't wake up again with out help. Have to give them time to commme geetttttttt meeeeeeee. the world went black again.

Tras yanked Drago back by his sleeve, almost losing his balance in the process. "I am in command," he snapped as he shoved Drago down in the first officer's seat. Then his infuriated expression disappeared and his tone grew softer. "I do happen to agree with your assessment of the situation. I want you to join the away team and search for that brave though stupid navigator. What was he thinking?"
He sat down beside Drago, rubbing his temples thereby willing his headache to fade. "That was a smart trick you played on me," he continued, looking Drago squarely in the eyes, "however I will not tolerate my orders being questioned in public. If you have an issue, we will deal with it in private, is that understood?"
Tras got up again and started pacing. "Actually, I think we both need to join the rescue operation. If Cavit decides to show up for duty she can handle the situation from up here. Consider it an attempt at teambuilding. I will meet you and Doctor Tintagel in the shuttlebay in fifteen minutes. Make sure you bring survival gear, and sufficient means to protect yourself."
Ten minutes later, Tras entered the shuttlebay, dressed in a lightweight survival suit and likewise backpack, also brandishing a phaser rifle which was slung casually over his shoulder. He still looked worse for wear, but the spirit burning in his eyes were completely opposite as to how he felt. "Let's go!" he ordered his team, "Drago, land us as close to the crash site as possible. Tintagel, make sure you're ready to treat Pride. Paikea, do whatever you have to do that you do best."

The giant personality transplant of Tras had taken it's toll on Luke in the form of giant confusion. Suddenly Luke found himself practically co-running the Ship with Tras, something that was definately out of character for the pompous Captain, and now he was facing an away mission with him.
"It's all very odd." He said to himself whilst riding the Turbolift to his quarters. He needed to change before taking the Shuttle down, something comfortable and flexible - definately not a standard issue Uniform.
Changing into a set of Civi's that he had worn pretty much non-stop whilst serving during the Peackeeper period, 30 odd years from now... Or it would have been 30 odd years from now... Picking up a slightly modified hand phaser and stapping both that and a tricorder to his belt he left for the Shuttlebay, picking up a decaf Coffee before exiting the room.
He was early, as far as he could tell, which he liked. This would give him time to prep the Shuttle and get things the way he liked them. Which included taking off the auto-launch sequence, that was just plain dull.
Tintagel, Apirana and Tras soon arrived, with Tras back to his old self... Almost... Luke could see the clammyness of his skin and the slight shake to his left hand. He made a mental note to himself to check Tras' medical files when they returned and any recent scans he had received whilst on the Scavenger. He hadn't hit him that hard.
"Let's go!" Tras ordered. "Drago, land us as close to the crash site as possible. Tintagel, make sure you're ready to treat Pride. Paikea, do whatever you have to do that you do best."
Luke snorted. "How specific." He said, sarcasm clearly present in his voice. "I am just doing the final checks, we should be leaving the Hanger in 2minutes."
"Time is ticking." Illito reminded Luke.
"We will get to him Commander." He replied simply, pressing a few more buttons and checking a few more readouts.
"Shuttle Osiris to Bridge, requesting permission to launch."
=^= Aknowledged Osiris =^= Came Cole's voice over the comm. =^= Depart when ready.
"Thank you Ensign, any sign of Commander Cavit as yet?" Luke asked.
=^= No Sir. We have sent a Security detail to her quarters as she is not responding to comm calls =^=
"Understood Ensign. Osiris out."
Within seconds the Shuttle had cleared the Hanger, smoothly flying towards the planet's surface. Luke grinned, he could feel the Shuttle respond to his every whim - This was flying!
"I am detecting a vessel on an intercept course Sir." Apirana said.
"Status." Tras said before Luke could respond.
"It appears to be battle ready..." Came the response.
Luke frowned. "I'm increasing speed, there's no point in a conflict if we can avoid it."

Pride: Was still blacked out he didn't feel the shuttle strating to slide. Even if he had he wouldn't have been able to get out of the shuttle with out help. With the cockpit totaly pushed in the only way out was throught the rear. What ever team came to get him they had there work cut out for them. The shuttle had crashed onto a very steep slope and the rock was mostly shale. The shuttle was still in danger it would be long before the shuttle slid of the slope and fell into the valley below. If the the rescuese team didn't get to pride soon he was a goner.

Tras held onto his seat, hoping that the maverick commander at the helm would land them safely. He also prayed his seatbelt would hold him securely in place. He did join the cheering when they seemed to escape their assaillant, though not heartily.
He cast a single glare at Drago, but gave him a quiet thumbs up for the marvelous flying stunt. He certainly wouldn't have done it any better, he wasn't a trained pilot to begin with. "Engage landing procedures," he ordered, then turned in his seat to look at Paikea and Tintagel. "Any sign of the shuttle or Commander Pride?" he asked.
--- a little later ---
Tras glanced out the starboard window, watching the ground speed up towards them as the Osiris smoothly entered her landing trajectory upon Drago's commands. "There!" he suddenly shouted, jabbing an indexfinger at the window. "On the cliff edge, a shuttle!"

Illito heard from Drago that Pride was crashed in some shuttle, injured, and she grabbed her medkit and hurried to the shuttlebay. Then she was waiting for the rest of the members to show. They seemed to be taking forever, and while Illito objectively knew it didn't make terribly much sense for her to transport down alone rather than waiting the two more minutes all she could think of was that Pride was lying somewhere on the ground, probably injured, and that she wasn't going to leave him there. Of course, she couldn't really go on her own, since as she had pointed out to Pride, she couldn't precisely pilot a shuttle very well.
Drago wasn't long though, but he didn't seem like he would take terribly kindly to the suggestion to leave without the rest of the away team, so Illito didn't bother asking. As soon as the shuttle they were in got close enough to the ground that Illito thought she had a chance of seeing anything she scanned the window nearest to her for any sign of the shuttle that Pride had been in.
Tras found it though, perched on the edge of the cliff, and Drago quickly brought their own shuttle as close to it as he could. “Can we transport Pride out?” Illito asked, a trace of her anxiety escaping in her voice as she glanced at the other members of the away team.
“With his condition whatever it may be that may not be the best decision,” Drago said.
“But we should set up a transporter with a lock on him in case the shuttle starts to fall off the cliff,” Illito said, trying to appeal to reason, but not knowing how reliable her own thoughts were right now. Apirana nodded though, seeming to agree with her, as Drago set the shuttle down after what seemed like an eternity.
As soon as she could, Illito stepped out of the shuttle, and walked at a medical pace toward the shuttle. She tried to asses the situation, and as much as she wanted to just rush in she thought they should try to move the shuttle further away from the edge before anyone went in, since that could cause the shuttle to unbalance and fall. Illito mentioned her thoughts, and waited impatiently to see what the others thought.

Pride: layed on the floor of the shuttle unware of the outside world. Not know what was occuring outside his body or the shuttle. He had gone deeper into his mind then he had ever gone before. He knew that he was introuble but he had done everthing he could do to by time for himself. He knew he wouldn't wake up with out Illito help, he didn't have the energy for it.
Pride: Thought about everything that had happened on this mission. What he actions and paths he chose to follow. Think unto himself the only regret I have is not hugging Illito befor I left. Pride hadn't given up hope he knew if Drago could he would get to him. Now thats a very confusing fellow. I hope I get a chance to figure him out some time. The differnce's between Captain Tras and Commander Drago were night and day. If Captain Tras had take the chance to get to know his crew and give them some lee way then maybe things would have been differnt. Commander Drago had earned the crews respect and proven to them that he would go the extra mile for them. Inexchange he wanted there loyalty and respect.
Pride: Deep into his owne thoughts he kept thinking of Illito he thought there was somthing there. She was a wonderful woman and he hoped against all odds that the would become more to each other. She's everything he could ask for, I wonder how much trouble I'm going to be in with her he thought that scared him a little he'd rather take beating from Drago then get on her bad side.

"I have an idead." Luke said, staring at the teetering Shuttle. "There's no way the Shuttle will take a lot of movement without falling over the side and I don't want to risk transporting Pride out. I've seen what transporters can do to someone who is already suffering from internal bleeding or something similar, and it isn't pretty..." He trailed off, his clear thinking suddenly interupted by a long forgotten image of an old friend who had not spoken to in a while... Memories of the past, or future - depending on your perspective, were proving hard to erase completely.
"Ahem." Tras cleared his throat loudly, fingers drumming against the side of the Shuttle.
Luke snapped back to reality and looked round the cockpit at the others present. "Sorry." He said absent mindedly. "As I was saying. I think I can knock the Shuttle from it's position and then hold it level with the Mountainside, allowing Tintagel and Apirana to move into it to rescue Pride." He paused, still working out the calculations. "It's risky simply because I could miss out by a second and we could all end up watching the Shuttle smack the bottom of the valley, but I believe that's the best option. The main problem is how to knock the Shuttle from it's position. Phaser fire could ignite already malfunctioning systems and the Osiris knocking it could mean Im wouldn't have enough time to swing round and catch the falling Shuttle. But whatever we decide it needs to be done quickly, Pride cannot be in good shape."

"Sensible thinking doctor," Tras answered as he listened to the suggestions offered, "do it." He interrupted Drago's train of thoughts, not wanting to hear the gruesome details. "Just a lock, in case of emergency," he explained, "either we beam him out on the risk of internal injuries, or he crashes down the cliff in his shuttle towards certain death."
Yet he listened patiently to Drago's suggestion, nodding every now and then in agreement. He's smarter than I gave him credit for Tras mused, already having altered his opinion of the man somewhat. He scowled in annoyance as he noticed his hand was shaking as he held the tricorder that kept continuous tabs on their surroundings.
"How do you propose to knock it out of position, without risking it teetering over the edge?" Tras querried, wanting to know Drago's logic behind his suggestion. "What if we use a tractorbeam to hold it steady?" Tras was neither security nor engineering expert, having his interest lying purely in science. The low continuous hum inside the shuttle made Tras unsteady on his feet as his balance was thrown off-centre. He shook his head in annoyance over his own weakness, and that he was losing control over it.
He was growing careless in hiding his disability, and it riled him. Covertly, he glanced at Illito to see if she'd noticed. "Work your plan out commander," he ordered Drago. "Paikea see if you can make the basics work, and work on locking on a tractorbeam. Doctor, we are not going to risk your life by allowing you to enter that shuttle. I will go in myself to retrieve Commander Pride."
