S'reena watched as the cadets and their instructors busied themselves. The Romulan couldn't help but feel worried for the admiral, and not only because she was her triplets' godmother. That reminded her to get into contact with her a little more often, also because the three toddlers seemed to miss her.
"It's not like McCormick to get herself lost," S'reena mused, then turned to Drew, "I'd like to take the Aerowing and start a search for McCormick." From the look on his face S'reena already knew that he wouldn't approve it.
"The Aerowing is much faster than the Hanson," she argued, "and more maneuvreable. We'd be able to cover more ground that way and reduce the risk of harm coming to the admiral." She glanced towards Shinsei, but kept addressing Drew. "I'm certain that Commande Shinsei would love the opportunity to fly the Aerowing, god knows we've never used it before. Now is a good time as any to test-fly her."

Drew looked up at S’reena in surprise, the Hanson had only just gone to warp to start the search, and she was already suggesting the launch of the auxiliary craft the ship carried.
“I would rather keep all the shuttles aboard for the time being,” Drew told his Exec, “we are still being pursued by that Shadow class ship, the aerowing would be no match for it if it got caught.”
For a few brief moments, Drew honestly thought that S’reena was going to continue to argue with him, her eyes were flashing with anger, but then she seemed to regain control of herself.
“Commander, why don’t you help Cadet Isis with the search pattern,” Drew suggested, eager to give S’reena a task to keep her mind off the situation, “now we have full power back, we should be able to boast the sensor range.”
S’reena merely nodded her head in agreement, and walked over to the console where Isis was working. Drew made a mental note to keep an eye on the Commander, her and Admiral McCormick had a close relationship, and S’reena had a nasty habit of sometimes doing stupid things.
“Cadet Taylor, is the Romulan ship still pursuing us?” Drew asked, looking up to the tactical console.
“Affirmative,” the Cadet replied, “Although at the moment, we are maintaining the lead.”
Drew nodded his head as the Cadet gave his report, pleased that so far the Hanson was keeping control of the situation, the last thing they needed was to get into a firefight. However, Drew knew he had to plan for that eventuality.
“Cadet Taylor, start working on a battle plan incase we have to engage them,” Drew ordered, “find their weak spots, and any other information that you think might be useful.”
“Aye Admiral,” Taylor replied, turning his attention to his console.
Pleased with the performance of the Cadets on the bridge, Drew decided it was time he was properly briefed on what had crippled the Bristol and possibly the Sutherland too.
“Cadet Boissey, report to the ready room,” he said over the comm system.
Closing the channel, Drew rose from his chair and headed towards the ready room, where he would await Cadet Boissey’s arrival.
“S’reena keep on course,” Drew ordered, “we need to maintain distance with the Shadow ship, as well as begin a full search pattern once we drop out of warp.”
Again, S’reena didn’t answer, but merely nodded her head in response, and resumed working with Cadet Isis.
Yep, definitely need to keep an eye on her, Drew thought to himself, just as Cadet Boissey entered the bridge.
“Perfect timing Cadet,” Drew said, walking over to greet her, “I want you to go over all the information you have on this EM shockwave that crippled the other ships, and any ideas you might have on what caused it.”
“Understood sir,” Boissey replied, following Drew into the ready room.
OOC:
OK, Taylor when you can next post, start analysing the Shadow ship, feel free to make whatever sort of battle plan you like.
Cadet Richards, continue with your current task of upgrading the sensor input, I am sure Commanders Reynolds and Hope will be able to give you lots of input in that area.
Cadet Boissey, I thought I would get you out of Engineering for a bit.

Location: Bridge Crystal waited impatiently until warp power was restored. There wasn't much for her to do most of the time except think, and Crystal wasn't overly fond of being with her thoughts. Instead, she listened to the sounds of the bridge and of the people talking to each other.
=/\=Engineering to bridge. Warp drive back on line. The ship’s ready to go.=/\= Crystal smiled slightly at this news, then did the less-than-complex job of feeding the coordinates the Admiral had given her to the computer, and the ship went to warp.
“We'll be there in thirty minutes,” Crystal said, and settled back to observe what was happening around her. Commander Hope suggested taking the Aerowing out, and Crystal perked up, hoping that something interesting was going to occur. However the Admiral dismissed the idea as being too dangerous. Crystal thought that a little strange, since the Admiral had taken quite a few chances with his own life when investigating the Merchant Vessel. She didn't say anything though, she didn't want to add to the growing tension between Commander Hope and Admiral Drew.

The Hanson jumped to warp and Charlotte couldn’t help but feeling the weight on her shoulders a little lighter. She checked the repairs reports and asked the engineers to keep an eye on the core and the EM containments. She sat back to her console again, drew a deep breath and loaded the hull sensors log. She barely had the time to give the EM weapon hypothesis a thought when the comlink beeped again. “Cadet Boissey, report to the ready room,” Admiral Drew’s voice ordered. After a second of perplexity Charlotte woke up from her thoughts and gave the engineering hold to Commander’s Smith best man. The turbolift drove her quickly to the bridge. “Perfect timing Cadet,” Drew said, walking over to greet her, “I want you to go over all the information you have on this EM shockwave that crippled the other ships, and any ideas you might have on what caused it.”
“Understood sir,” Boissey replied, following Drew into the ready room. She carried on as the room’s doors closed behind her. “It took us a while to understand it was an EM wave without the sensors available. The “symptoms” the Hanson showed led us : the containments fields, the power system fluctuations and the sensors damage.” Charlotte restrained herself to watch openly the decoration of the Admiral’s office. She focused on the desk. “Commander’s Smith found a solution with additional polarizers that we connected to the hull to protect us from the wave. The reports from the away team on the Bristol proved the source was external and powerful. We didn’t detect a natural source as we were approaching the merchant vessel localisation, and even without sensors we should have been aware of the kind of stars that could produce such a phenomenon, then I must point the possibility that the wave was produced by a weapon. I was about to work on this possibility and our capacity to face it with the polarizers. I can’t predict the effect of a second wave right now.” <tag Drew> OOC : Yes Sir, thank you for this occasion to get out from engineering

"Well Mr. Richards, we have are work cut out for us," Jason said as he took the auxiliary console. The Shadow ship concerned him and he would need to keep an eye on it. His cadet was hard at work trying to upgrade the sensors. The shock wave had misaligned the sensors and they would have to fix them all.
"Mr. Richards what do you think is the best way of aligning the sensors?" Jason asked. Even as veteran operations officer, Jason knew that it could take a very long time to fix all these sensors. He had already sent out teams to fix the sensors effected.

"Ok good, very good Mr. Richards," Jason said glad that his cadet though like him. "Now we need to upgrade the sensor input if we want to find the culprits."

S'reena scowled under her breath as she rejoined her cadet at the science station. Kalen and Cain were still occupied in the laboratories it seemed, but all was well with S'reena. At least from the science station she could do as she pleased, without everyone looking over her shoulder to see what she was doing. Everyone would be too occupied with their own stations to notice.
Yet, she was fully aware of Drew's eyes on her, and she knew she had to proceed carefully. "Cadet Isis, what are the results of the analysis on Shadow's life support systems?" she asked quietly, as she leaned against the wall beside her cadet. Then she frowned as Isis gave a negative answer. "What do you mean, I hadn't asked you to perform one. Oh well...I guess I forgot." The last thing she wanted was another fight with the cadet, who already seemed to have a volatile nature. Not too surprising, apparently having been raised among Romulans (or so S'reena assumed).
"Perform the analysis now," she suggested, "what life support systems does the ship use. In addition, get me all scientific information you can dig up about the other ship we encountered, as well as the Sutherland."
S'reena gazed around, eyes locking with Richards. "I'll also need tactical data on the Sutherland, weaknesses and strengths." She ignored Reynolds' sharp glance in her direction, and most certainly ignored Daya, whose eyes also seemed to be on her and her cadet. ~this is insane~ she thought ~I merely made a suggestion...don't I have the right to be unhappy about a decision made?~
Certainly, the Hanson hadn't followed pursuit yet and they hadn't located the Sutherland yet. "Daya, see if you can find me the Sutherland's last known location," she finally spoke up, as she accessed certain data files on the computer. "Isis, when you're done I have a special task for you," she whispered, "meet me in my quarters after your duty shift. And this will be between you and me."
(Isis...come up with something nice hm? Don't well on Shadow too much, the Sutherland is more important, as well as the other ship.)

Daya went back to work quickly, not wanting his cadet to see him idle. Accessing a few records, Daya finally found the closest spot to the sutherland. "Commander Hope, last known location of the Sutherland was 10 kilometers west of our current location, bearing 362.971." The commander looked up at him from her station, and then back to her station.
Daya turned his attention back to his cadet, trying to get him more involved. "Were you paying attention?" he asked <Tag Taylor> "Well, what i did was access the information data base, and then narrow it down to the sutherland, and were they had last made contact with anyone" <tag Taylor>

"Mr. Richards what do you think is the best way of aligning the sensors?" Reynolds asked.
Max thought for a moment. Align the sensors would be easy, but to find the root of the problem would be something that would take long time.
"In order to align the sensors I must recover part of the lost energy and soon to verify sensor by sensor, that will take few minutes"
"Ok good, very good Mr. Richards" the Commander responded, later he said "Now we need to upgrade the sensor input if we want to find the culprits."
The sensors are a fundamental part in a ship. The objective of Max was now upgrade the sensor input. The Computer could make great part of the work, but always it is necessary to be alert.
"Computer, begins a diagnostic in the sensors and verifies fluctuations of energy" now speaking towards the Commander "I believe that it will be sufficient so far. It is necessary to ask Tacticals if they need something."

Drew listined with increasing alarm as Cadet Boissey raised the possbility of the EM shockwave being the result of an weapon, it was even more worrying to think that the Hanson might not have a defence against a second wave. When the Cadet had finished her report, Drew asked the most obvious question.
“In your opinion what sort of weapon would be capable of producing these effects?”
“As I said Admiral,” Boissey replied, “I need to run more simulations before I can reach a conclusion there, we have a number of possibilities to consider.”
Drew nodded his head in acknowledgment, and briefly turned his head to gaze out of the starport, watching the swirl of colours as the Hanson flew at the speed of light.
“If the Sutherland encountered this at a closer proximity than the Bristol, it could have been destroyed,” he said out loud, forgetting for a few moments that the Cadet was present.
“That is a possibility,” Boissey agreed.
Drew turned back round to face the young woman, remembering that she was present.
“You can configure one of the stations on the bridge to run your simulations,” Drew said as he walked round from his desk, “I would imagine Engineering is rather packed at the minute.”
“I’ll do that Admiral,” Boissey replied, “am I dismissed?”
Drew nodded his head, and Boissey turned on her heels, and headed for the bridge. Drew watched her leave, and then walked over to the replicator, ordering a steaming hot cup of tea. Pulling out the leather chair behind his desk, he sat down and pulled forward his computer console, searching for the last reports received from the Sutherland for any long as to what may have happened to her.
After about half hour, Drew felt he had read enough, it was clear from the logs that whatever had happened to the Sutherland, it had been unexpected, they had had no warning that something was about to happen.
Finishing off his tea, he got up from his chair, and decided it was time to get back onto the bridge, straightening his uniform; he walked out onto the bridge.
“All stations report,” he called out as he took his seat in the centre of the bridge.
OOC:
Cadets, good posting, the time is probably right for us to discover the Sutherland, Cadets Taylor, Richards and Boissey, this could be something one of you could do. I like your idea that this might be some kind of weapon Charlotte, perhaps something we could expand a bit on?

The elderly Vulcan stirred and opened his eyes. Cadet Henchard rushed to his side and administered a pain-killer to the Vulcan. Even though Vulcans claim not to be bothered by pain, Henchard figured that it would be a good idea to eliminate any possible problems that would arise.
"Cadet Henchard to Commander Brelev," Henchard said, tapping his comm badge. "The Vulcan is awake, now. Maybe we'll be able to get some answers."
"Acknowledged, Cadet. See what you can do. Contact the bridge if you find anything."
The Vulcan attempted to sit up in his place, but Henchard could see that any attempt to do so was accompanied by a subtle, yet visible, expression of pain on the Vulcan's face.
"Don't move. You're safe now. You're currently in the sickbay of Starfleet's USS Hanson."
"I... I..." stammered the Vulcan, unable to speak.
"You've been exposed to high levels of a severe poison gas. Can you tell me your name?" Henchard hoped to gain some sort of insight into what actually happened on the merchant vessel.
"Name... P'Radikus. Uuuughhh." The Vulcan rolled onto his side.
"Cadet Henchard to the bridge. The Vulcan, P'Radikus, is awake, but his condition is currently unstable. If you want any answers, now's the time to ask the questions."

Brelev had left Cadet Henchard to look after the Vulcan while she retired to her office to catch up on some paper work which had piled up over the past week. She had to write up a report on both cadets, and while doing so a note on her screen caught her eye. Someone had taken the time to inform her of an incident that had occured while she was on the away team. Max Smith had been trapped in an air lock after the EM blast, why was it she had to find out about this almost a day later and Max Smith had not botherd to report in for a look over? Brelev was about to interupt whatever Max was doing to haul him in and give him the "for your own safety" lecture when Cadet Henchard called her over.
"Cadet Henchard to Commander Brelev,"The Vulcan is awake, now. Maybe we'll be able to get some answers."
Brelev let him continue on his own, suggesting he contact the Bridge personnal who would want to speak with the patient. Perhaps she should have been guiding him more, maybe even letting him watch her instead of the other way around, but how would he learn then? Brelev took a moment to look over the breifing she had been given at the beginning of the mission, it was clear at this moment things had changed from the original plan, after all the directions they had been given where to find the Sutherland and on it Admiral McCormick, but apparently the Sutherland had not been the only ship to enter the EM field here without taking the necessary procautions, and the Ferengi they had encounterd where obviosly taking advantage of the excellen pillaging oppertunities. If all went well they would find the Sutherland before the pillagers did.
Brelev stood up and decided to visit the patient herself. "Cadet, you said him name is P'Radikus?" Henchard nodded. "that name sounds very familiar, may I speak with him?"

*door beep* "enter" said Commander Hope. "Oh hello cadet."
Isis walked in wondering what was wanted of her when she said, just as S'reena began to speak again,
"Commander, before you knocked me out and did something to my implants, I maneged to catch a glimps of the captain's office onboard the shadow. What I saw was plaques of over 20 Federation starships. All but one of the plaques came from ships we sold to Ferenga(OOC: planet spelt right?) 6 years ago. The other one I knew I saw the name of before bur it wasn't the Sutherland. I will tell you the name when I fully remember which ship it is."

ooc: Isis' post takes place after we've gone off duty.
ic:
S'reena stretched at the science console, pleased with her cadet's work. "Now feed your findings to the tactical and operations consoles," she instructed her cadet, as she moved back to the centre seat.
Instructing a cadet, running a ship and in between things raising five children was hard work, and the Romulan first officer was starting to feel the strain. Adding to that was the worry for her friend, and godmother to her triplets. ~admiral where are you~ she wondered idly ~why did you have to go out on the Sutherland and endanger yourself?~
Checking the chronometer, she saw that she was nearly due to go off duty. She didn't need to look up when she heard the turbolift doors hiss; her replacement had arrived. Commander Dharma Meri had a look of sheer disdain and contempt on her face as she approached the command centre and tapped S'reena on the shoulder. "I'll take it from here," she said, her smile bordering on a sneer.
It was common knowledge that the Trill replacement FO hated Romulans, and hated crowds in general. She preferred the graveyard shift but knew that wasn't always possible. "You go and rest now, you look like you could use some."
"No kidding," S'reena muttered under her breath as she rose from her seat and bid Drew a good day and a quiet shift. Though she knew he too would soon go off duty. She cast Isis a meaningful glance, knowing that she too would be relieved soon.
The Romulan had barely entered her quarters and had greeted her entusiastic fair of youngsters when the door chime went off. "Come," S'reena called, dismissing the nanny to her own free time. Michael was still at work in sickbay, she mused, and knew he wouldn't be home for a while still.
The door opened and Isis walked in. "Commander, before you knocked me out and did something to my implants, I maneged to catch a glimps of the captain's office onboard the shadow. What I saw was plaques of over 20 Federation starships. All but one of the plaques came from ships we sold to Ferenginar 6 years ago. The other one I knew I saw the name of before bur it wasn't the Sutherland. I will tell you the name when I fully remember which ship it is."
S'reena motioned for her cadet to sit down, an action which resulted in 3 tolders crawling all over the poor cadet the moment she had done so. Seeing no harm in the children's actions and deeming the cadet adult enough to tell the kids off when she thought it was enough, S'reena took no action against it. "That is quite all right cadet," she assured Isis, "no-one is asking you to rush into things. I'm certain Admiral Drew will be dealing with Shadow when the time is right. I regret having to disable your implants but it was for your own safety, and for ours. While I don't believe you to be a spy for the Romulans, others may not share that belief. I would hate to see you end up getting treated as an oddity and a freak."
Then she picked up a PADD and showed it to Isis. "These are the schematics of the Aerowing. I want you to help me prepare the Aerowing for departure, but Admiral Drew is not to find out about it. Do you think you can assist me? I intend to take the Aerowing if our search for the Sutherland proves to be fruitless. I can't leave Admiral McCormick behind, no matter what happens, I owe her too much for that."
She gazed down at her cadet, almost pleading her for help. "It would be an adventure, but it would also be dangerous. As I am responsible for you, there would fall no blame to you. You could, and should, claim that I ordered you to help me, however I want you to consider it carefully. You can say no, but in such case I still ask you to treat this conversation as confidential."

Location : Bridge (mostly)
After she had been dismissed by the Admiral Charlotte took place at the engineering console on the bridge which was free for the moment. While the other stations were tracking down the Sutherland she had to work on what could put it and the Hanson in danger. She loaded the sensors logs of the Hanson when she was under the effects of the EM wave and the Bristol’s logs to compare them. The cadet also accessed the database to dig in the EM weapons characteristics. When the shift changing occurred she knew more about weapons that she used to and had noted several similarities between the two readings. She downloaded the files to a padd. She, too, needed a break and something to eat in order to think correctly.
The mess hall was crowded but she didn’t pay attention. She ordered pastas and a stronger coffee than she used to drink. She was trying to confront the two readings to know more about the source of the wave, its power, the distance from the vessels when they were hit. But the differences were tiny, almost irrelevant. The chances that the two vessels had been hit from the same distance were poor, and that was definitely eliminating a natural source. The weapon’s possibility strengthened under Charlotte’s eyes.
=/\= Senior staff, report to the bridge. The Sutherland has been localised. =/\=
Charlotte emptied her second cup of coffee quickly and headed back to the turbolift. She had to know if the Sutherland had been also the victim of the EM weapon.
When she arrived on the bridge she was surprised to hear about not one but two vessels. Someone was reading the report out loud : Sutherland localised on the long-range sensors, 3 million kilometres away from the Hanson’s position. The Sutherland seemed at deadstop, just like the Bristol earlier. Next to her was a Ferengi vessel which seemed unarmed. The pieces of the puzzles moved into Charlotte’s mind.
“Admiral I may have a theory about the EM weapon we talked about.”
Though quite busy and under pressure at the moment Admiral Drew let her say what she had to. “Go ahead cadet.”
“I think the EM weapon’s power has been restrained. Otherwise the casualties on the vessels would have been different. It seems the purpose was to neutralise not to destroy. Just like looters would do for a better profit… I would think the weapon is on the Shadow-class ship but I can’t see why they didn’t use it against us a second time.”

Drew listened inventively to Charlottes suggestions, that the Feregni were using this new type of weapon to neutralise opponents, it sounded like the perfect way to complete piracy without any of the bother of getting your hands dirty.
“It is possible they are experiencing problems with the technology,” Drew suggested, after Charlotte wondered why the weapon had not been used against the Hanson, “after all, they are an inexperienced crew aboard the Shadow.”
“Admiral,” Max Richards called out, “The Shadow ship is warping into the area.”
“Wonderful,” Drew cursed under his breath, “Cadet Boissey, try a deep scan on the Shadow ship, see what you can learn.”
“Aye Admiral,” Charlotte replied, walking over to her station.
It was only when the Cadet had walked away, leaving Drew alone on the command level that he realised S’reena hadn’t reported to the bridge, despite the call for senior staff to report to duty. Oddly enough Drew noticed that some other staff members had also not reported, Daya and Crystal Shinsei included.
His thoughts however were distracted by another call from Max Richards, who had been scanning the Sutherland for signs of Admiral McCormick.
“Sir, I am not detecting Admiral McCormick’s bio-signature on the Sutherland,” Max reported, “I am unable at this time to penetrate the Ferengi vessel’s shields for a scan.”
Drew tried hard not to react to that news, if the Admiral’s signature was not detected, then she was either dead, or on the Ferengi vessel itself. Both were not possibilities that Drew liked to consider.
“The Shadow ship is moving in closer,” Cadet Taylor reported, “they will be in weapons range in fifteen minutes.”
“Hail the Ferengi vessel,” Drew ordered, stepping up from his chair and facing the forward viewscreen.
“Channel open,” Max replied.
“Ferengi vessel, this is Vice Admiral Paul Drew of the USS Hanson, please state your intentions.”
“No reply,” Max reported, “But they definitely heard you sir.”
Drew nodded his thanks to Max for that information, and started pacing the bridge a little.
“Ferengi vessel,” Drew continued, speaking over the comm channel, “that is a Starfleet ship crippled next to you; failure to respond will be considered an act of aggression against the Federation.” “Federation ship, we have your Admiral aboard our vessel,” a cruel voice replied over the comm channel, “If you make any attempt to fire on us, or rescue her, we will cripple your ship just like we did hers and the others, your crew will fetch a good price in the slave trade.”
“That is an act of war!” Drew protested.
“That is business Admiral,” the Ferengi replied, “now I think of it, two Starfleet Admirals would also fetch a very good price, I am sure the Romulans or Cardiassians would pay handsomely for you both.”
With that the channel closed, leaving the bridge in silence. Drew angrily hit the railings he was stood next to, and cursed under his breath.
“Admiral, we have another problem,” Max called out, panic in his voice, “I am detecting an unauthorised launch of the aero wing, sensors indicate Commander Hope is aboard.”
Drew spun round and stared at the Cadet open mouthed, for a few seconds he couldn’t think what to say.
“Get them in a tractor beam,” Drew ordered, “Now!”
“Admiral,” Charlotte called out, “the Shadow ship is moving closer, we will be in range of their weapons in a few minutes.”
“Admiral Drew to Commander Hope,” Drew said angrily, hitting his comm button on his chair, “what the hell do you think you are doing Commander? Return to Hanson at once.”
There was no response.
“I am giving you a direct order,” Drew barked over the channel, “return to the ship now.”
Suddenly the Hanson shook violently, as the Shadow ship finally moved into weapons range.
“Red Alert!” Drew ordered, “Max, find a way to get control of the aerowing, Charlotte, how are you doing with those scans?”
OOC:
Crystal, S’reena tells me you and her have something planned, so I deliberately left you off the bridge so you could carry on with whatever it was.
Cadet Richards, despite your best attempts you wont be able to get control of the shuttle, use that saboteur storyline you had earlier on to explain some key systems to be offline – S’reena could have been the one who damaged the systems.
Cadet Boissey excellent work so far, lets see if we can’t find a way survive a hit from that EM weapon?

ooc: Isis feel free to back post frm S'reena's quarters to trying to board the Aerowing....just a note: you cannot shoot Daya or Shinsei, but you can stun the guards (write tht from your point of view please)...note to others: I am not taking any other cadets, just Isis.
ic:
S'reena and Isis hurried through the maze that made up the corridors of the USS Hanson. Both were armed with phasers, and both were carrying a phaser rifle on their back. "We've got to hurry," S'reena urged her cadet on, "Drew ordered all senior staff to the bridge, he's going to get suspiscious when we don't get there."
They reached the deck where the Aerowing was docked without much problems but when they reached the hatch they found Daya and two security guards waiting. "Where do you think you're going?" he demanded, leveling his phaser at them, "you aren't authorized to take the Aerowing. I got down here as soon as my logs showed someone'd been tampering with them, and all leads went right back to you commander."
The Romulan sighed. "I don't have time for bickering commander," she argued as she raised her own phaser. She nodded at Isis and the younger woman fired her phaser in two short bursts, sending the two guards crumpling down to the deck. S'reena fixed an icy stare on Daya. "Your choice commander, come with us or get shot. You have two seconds to decide...one..."
Daya lowered his phaser and S'reena took it from him, then turned him around and pressed the nuzzle of her own weapon between his shoulderblades. "For what it's worth, I'm sorry commander," she told him as she nudged him onward. They were just about to enter the Aerowing when Shinsei suddenly showed up.
S'reena nodded for Isis to keep an eye on Daya and get him into the Aerowing and start the pre-launch sequence. "You shouldn't be here Commander," S'reena called to Shinsei, "your place is on the bridge. I'm sorry but I can't take you."

OOC : Aye sir, will be done in two posts IC : Location : BridgeThe Admiral’s point of view helped Charlotte to see clearer in what was happening. She reached her station and started to work on the defence problem and the scan of the Shadow ship. To scan a stealthy vessel was not an easy task. Action ran really quickly. As the other ones were battling with Ferengi diplomacy or Commander’s Hope’s take off Charlotte had a cloaked ship to take care of. “Red Alert!” Drew ordered, “Max, find a way to get control of the aerowing, Charlotte, how are you doing with those scans?”“Not really good sir. Their shielding settings are not perfect but efficient enough to block most of our scanners. I can confirm the Ferengi bio-signs though we don’t have any lock on them. Unfortunately the tactical areas are the most protected. I can’t have a scan of the weapon we’re interested in. But their shields have weak points we can target.” She added the last comment to help the tactical officer. But that was all she could do about the scans. She now had to focus on the way to protect the Hanson. As she was affected to engineering station, that was her first duty. Trying to follow clear thoughts in spite of the agitation she called again the data she had about EM weapons. It took her a scary moment but there she found it. Coils could be used to produce EM pulses. Maybe she could turn some of them into a defence device. That she couldn’t do alone and certainly not here. She needed the engineering crew. “Admiral, I may find a solution to counter a second EM wave.” Charlotte said as she rose from her seat. “I’m returning to engineering to try it with some technical help…” The young cadet headed to the turbolift trying not to run into any crewmember.

Daya was sitting in his office, "resting his eyes" when he heard a soft knock and an rather concerned looking ensign stepped in, "What is it ensign?" Daya asked, rubbing his eyes. "Commander, somethings wrong with these logs, they just dont make sense to me" Daya motioned for the cadet to bring the padd over to him, and after reading and rereading them, he started to investigate. "Computer, who was the last person to access these logs, other than ensign Gibbs?"
~Commander S'reena Hope~ the computer replied, "locate commander hope" he said as he stood up, ~Commander Hope is currently on deck 3~ "the shuttle bay with the Aerowing!" Daya rushed out the door grabbing a phaser and two more officers on his way out. When he arrived, he stood and waited for the commander to show up. Around the corner came the commander and Cadet Isis

OOC not sure if that was all acurate with the computer and what not,

Location: Aerowing When her shift ended after taking a few precautions Crystal decided to go down to the shuttlebay. She thought S'reena might be planning something, and if not Crystal wanted to look at the Aerowing. She heard voices as she approached the shuttlebay, and entered it.
"You shouldn't be here Commander," S'reena called , "your place is on the bridge. I'm sorry but I can't take you."
“Call me Crystal,” she said. “And yes, you can take me. After all, you're taking him,” she said, with a head-nod toward the prisoner, who she suddenly recognized as Commander Daya. “And I can actually help.”
Crystal could see she wasn't exactly convincing Commander Hope. Oh, well, time for plan B. “Commander,” Crystal said, not wanting to call S'reena by her first name until Crystal was sure it wouldn't offend the Romulan too much. Or until she wanted to use it to annoy S'reena. “I know you're leaving. I can send a short message to Admiral Drew and tell him you're leaving, and he'll keep the Aerowing in.”
S'reena raised her phaser, ready to fire at Crystal. Crystal didn't blink. “Unless I deactivate it a simulacrum of me will inform the Admiral of the same thing in five minutes,” Crystal said nonchalantly. S'reena thought for a few moments, then lowered the phaser.
“Thanks,” Crystal said, walking quickly to the pilot's seat of the Aerowing and familiarizing herself with the controls. S'reena seemed to be waiting for something, and Crystal nodded as if she had forgotten. She tapped her to commbadge. </\> Shinsei to my quarters. Arsa 25 </\>
Crystal had by this time gotten her own phaser out. She didn't know how quickly S'reena could shoot, but Crystal hoped she was faster, if it came to that. Once she had piloted the Aerowing out of the shuttlebay she let out a short breath of air and relaxed a little. Whatever happened now, Crystal didn't have many major choices left to make.
She had taken a few precautions before leaving the ship, including tampering with the ship's computer to make it look like she was still on the Hanson. She had brought along a device that would block her lifesigns from appearing on the Hanson's sensors unless she turned it off. She could have done the same for S'reena, but she hadn't been asked to. Crystal had also taken advantage of the technical wonders available in her quarters to create a hologram of herself set up to look like she was sleeping.
Her back wasn't completely covered, and she would be found out the moment anyone decided to seriously look for her. But if they didn't she guessed she would have to pretend she was a deep sleeper in the future, even if the truth was far from that. But it would explain why she wouldn't respond to any contact. Unless Admiral Drew figured out she was on the Aerowing, but Crystal knew the risk she was taking. From what she could tell the Starfleet justice system didn't include death as a penalty, and Crystal had been in enough brigs to know that they really weren't that bad. Except when they were.
“I've done stuff like this,” Crystal said, trying to break the awkwardness of the silence. “Going off on an idiotic search to rescue someone because they meant something to me. Except I failed. He was dead before I even received the distress signal.” Crystal finished, and noticed that her attempt to engage the Romulan in conversation had failed rather spectacularly. And what had been initially meant as a light attempt to convince S'reena that it was a good idea to let Crystal come along seemed to be having the opposite effect, and was turning decidedly depressing for Crystal.<Tag everyone on the Aerowing>

ooc: looked fine to me ;D ic: S'reena sat beside Shinsei, going over the sensor readings Isis was feeding to her console. The younger woman still kept her phaser trained on the security chief while doing her work. "I'll take it from here," S'reena told her cadet, "why don't you start scanning for the admiral? We've already established that she isn't on the Sutherland." <Isis> The Aerowing sped towards the Ferengi vessel but suddenly came to a dead stop when a tractorbeam caught them. Cursing under her breath, S'reena moved towards the tactical console, quickly keyed in a sequence and the small craft's phasers shot at the Hanson, efficiently disabling the tractorbeam. “Admiral Drew to Commander Hope,” Drew's angry voice resounded over the Aerowing's intercom, “what the hell do you think you are doing Commander? Return to Hanson at once.”S'reena ignored her commanding officer, furiously working her controls to aid in their getaway from the Hanson. “I am giving you a direct order,” Drew barked over the channel, “return to the ship now.” "Cut him off," S'reena ordered her cadet, "ignore all transmissions from the Hanson...and see to it that they can't take over control." <Isis...take it away > Knowing that she couldn't fire at the weapons or shields generators, S'reena fired another burst at the short range sensor array instead. They'd still be able to fly, they still had their shields and weapons to use against the Ferengi but now they couldn't effecitively track the Aerowing. The Romulan could only hope that her actions and firing on the Hanson hadn't hurt anyone. She gazed up at Daya. "You have two choices commander. One, you spend the rest of this journey behind a forcefield or two, you assist me in rescuing Admiral McCormick. Any actions taken are my responsebility. You have tried to stop me and failed, and you'll fail in trying again." <Daya> Now, she turned to Shinsei. "You shouldn't have come, but I couldn't have asked for a better pilot. Set course for the Ferengi vessel, we have to move fast now." <Shinsei>

Daya had been listening to the growing "conversation" going on in the ship. After the admiral had been cut off, Daya shook his head. 'he's not gonna like that' He thought to himself with a soft moan. When the commander started shooting at the Hanson Daya instinct was to throw his hands up and cover his face, but after the first shot, he realized she knew what she was doing, allowing the Hanson to be able to defend itself, but unable to track the Aerowing. Hope gazed up at Daya. "You have two choices commander. One, you spend the rest of this journey behind a forcefield or two, you assist me in rescuing Admiral McCormick. Any actions taken are my responsebility. You have tried to stop me and failed, and you'll fail in trying again." "While i do enjoy the various sights of forcefeilds, I would also prefer to see the admiral alive and well, if you didnt remember, she was once my captain" Daya said in a matter of fact voice. "Besides, all you had to do was ask" Daya said with a slight smile as his restraints were taken off, and he took his place at the tactical station. ~~~~~ On the Hanson Lt. JG David Wells was rushing back to the bridge, being the replacement for Commander Daya he felt it his duty to tell the Admiral the commander was missing. When the Turbolift doors opened, all eyes turned to him. "Uh, commander Daya is missing" Not excatly sure weither or not that was the best wording to use, he was finally asked to take his spot and finish the cadet's training.( who is on LOA by the way ) David looked over the console in front of him and smiled, his first actual time by himself during a crisis of some kind. "Wells, system report." Pressing a few buttons David soon had the system display on his screen. Short range sensors offline, Long range are green, weapons, sheilds all other systems green"

Before Cadet Henchard could reply Brelev's comm badge alerted her. =/\= Senior staff, report to the bridge. The Sutherland has been localised. =/\=
"Excellent." Brelev smiled, she knew she was not required on the bridge, but that most likely her services would be needed in sickbay. "Cadet, insure P'Radikus is stabalised and prepare to set up a triage. The Sutherland is in bad shape, I'm expecting the crew to be as well." =A=Computer activate the EMH=A=
"What is the... Ah, it's you again, how can I help?" The EMH asked as he materialised.
"Help my cadet set up for triage." Brelev directed. =A=All medical personnal report to Sickbay.=A=
As the nurses and Medics arrived they assisted Brelev and Cadet Henchard in putting out extra biobeds. They where almost finished when three lower deck personnal enterd supporting two Security officers, both had the marks of being stunned by a phaser blast. "What happended, who shot them?!" Brelev asked, helping the men to get the injured onto two of the waiting biobeds.
"It was Commander Hope and her Cadet, they where headed to the shuttle bay. Daya's with them." One of the Crewman replied, he was visibly shaken.
"Mutiny?" Brelev asked, "No, I can't believe that, Nurse get me a mild sedative for this man." The ship gave a violent shudder and Brelev nearly lost her balance. =A=Admiral, what is going on, where is Commander Hope?"=A=
<Tag Drew (to summerize recent events for the sake of those who where on LOAs)>
"I always knew she was hotheaded, but Daya and Crystal too?" Brelev mutterd as she struggled to revive the stunned men.
"She can't be in her right mind Doctor, that's not like my wife." Doctor Michael Hope insisted.
Brelev saw no point in arguing with the distressed man, she knew S'reena and this was very like S'reena.

"I think I can get us onboard by destroying that (OOC: assuming the ferengi ship is a Marauder) Marauder's secondary weapon systems and beaming the Admiral in here through the hole!" exclaimed Isis "But it is going to have to take some seriously fancy flying and the computer has to do the fireing!"
She gave Shinsei the flight plan that had been quickly written up.
S'reena got given a look that she recognized as the one she had been given on the bridge of the Hanson.
"I want to see what she has come up with." said S'reena calmly.
She regretted this almost instantly, as the Aerowing dived underneath and came up on the left of the ferengi ship. The Aerowing slid past the rear phaser array of the Marauder and started spinning anti/counter clockwise in a figure of 8.
Shinsei gave Isis a look that clearly said "If we get out of this, I'm going to kill you!"
(OOC: for the next part, it is hard for me to explain in words, so I will tell you a way of showing you the speed of the next part.
1) Take a small box/cuboid (a rubber or a 4x2 Lego brick will do for this).
2) Flick your object so that it goes up in the air vertically, whilst spinning it from end-to-end (watch it as it does this).
3) If this works/you understand the instructions, then you have the idea. If you followed the instructions properly but the object "flopped" to the ground then get a new object or go back to step 2. You do not understand I will draw some diagrams tomorrow to help explain. I will put them in between {}.
4) If this has worked then the speed of the Aerowing (turning end-to-end) is about that.)
{}
{}
{}
IC: The Aerowing span round fireing all its weapons at the ferengi phaser emitter. Shinsei stopped the Aerowing just above the hole that was left.
<tag anyone onboard the Aerowing as im to tired to write more>.

S'reena flashed a grin at Daya while he hurried towards the tactical station. "Glad to have you on our side commander," she called at him while returning her attention to Isis. The younger woman seemed to have an idea and suddenly the Aerowing entered a series of aerial antics that surely would've been funny to watch had the situation not been so dire.
The Romulan held her breath as she suddenly had the feeling that her stomach was stuck in her throat. Normally she didn't get air-sick but now was as good a time as any to feel as such. "Slow down!" she managed as she fought to keep her breakfast down, but the Aerowing did not slow into full stop until they were where Isis had suggested they needed to be.
"Fire phasers," S'reena breathed, swallowing hard, "Isis, see if you can pinpoint the admiral. I doubt the Ferengi would make it THIS easy on us! I daresay we'll have to go in ourselves to locate her. Ferengi are smart and devious people, they'd have placed a sensor mark at her location."
<Isis....see if you can locate the admiral, but don't do it too quickly, you can take a few posts about it. Do add a bit more detail on HOW you conduct the search>
The Aerowing rocked violently as the Marauder opened fire on them. "Disable their weapons!" S'reena cried at Daya, as she held on to her console. The Aerowing rocked again and she lost her grip, tumbling backwards out of control. She grunted as air was knocked from her lungs upon impact and scrambled back to her feet. "At these times, I wish we had a cloaking device," she growled as she climbed back into her seat. "Daya, you may also wish to knock out their propulsion systems."
She knew Daya was a marksman when it came to firing any kind of arms, after all he was the security instructor for good reason and she relied on his ability to get the job done. She wasn't a bad shot herself, but having Daya along on their side made things easier. "Shinsei, keep us in position but get us out of range the minute they try something. Isis, keep ignoring any transmission coming from the Hanson, we'll deal with that later."
A little pale-faced, she gazed at the Aerowing's main screen. "Hang in there admiral," she murmured, "we're on our way!"

Location: Aerowing Crystal was a little startled when S'reena fired on the Hanson, but a little relieved. Since they were actually disobeying direct orders now, Crystal agreed with the decision to make it a little difficult for the Hanson to reclaim the errant officers.
S'reena directed Crystal to pilot towards the Ferengi ship, and also slipped in a compliment about Crystal's ability, which surprised Crystal a little. She hadn't really talked much with the first officer, and hadn't even been sure S'reena had noticed Crystal as anyone besides another name on the roster and another person on the bridge. And Crystal was far more used to being cursed for her piloting abilities than complimented for them.
Isis gave Crystal the flight plan, and Crystal barely had time to look over it before S'reena ordered her to put it into action. Crystal wasn't quite comfortable with someone else telling her the specific times she would move the ship, but she wasn't quite comfortable with the Aerowing anyway. As the ship started to spin Crystal turned to glare at Isis.
She wanted to point out that a fool maneuver like this was only a good idea when 1)The pilot knew what she was going to be doing ahead of time, 2)It wasn't the pilot's first time in the shuttle and 3)The plan had been tested in a holodeck simulation at least 20 times, but Crystal was too busy trying to keep the ship from slamming into the Ferengi ship. While the plan Isis had given had accounted for a lot, the Ferengi wasn't a constant, it kept moving, so Crystal had to avoid it.
With the Aerowing in place, Crystal noticed that S'reena didn't exactly look well. But the first officer kept control of the situation and gave Crystal orders to keep in range but run away if the Ferengi tried to attack them. She could live with orders like those.
