Dayas voice startled Tinyl back to the here and now. "Anything worth noting?"
She frowned and glanced around and back at the doctor. "Um ... sir, nothing visible I can put my finger on anyway. But something is, for lack of a better word... off."
She felt tense, and the hair on the back of her neck was standing on end, something wasn't quite right. But whatever it was, wasn't visible to the naked eye.
"I'm sorry sir I am not sure how to explain it." she let out a sigh, thinking her instructor probably thought she was nuts.

The Romulan [Commander Hope] tapped her combadge. "Hope to Smith, what is your status and that of Cadet Rogers? We seem to have some troublesome readings, please keep alert at all times."
"We're fine ma'am," Cadet Smith replied. "We are headed into town apace with the rest of the away team. I am attempting to keep at least two other members of the team in sight at all times." He looked over at Rogers, whose nose was still buried in his tricorder, then added, "though I'm not sure Cadet Rogers is purposefully going anywhere in particular, ma'am."
All the while he had been keeping a sharp eye on the locals. They seemed docile enough, if not downright skittish. Smith could understand them being a little unnerved by the Starfleet team, especially with some of them armed, but there were some in the crowd that were far more than just unnerved. They were nervous. "Permission to speak freely, ma'am," Cadet Smith said in a bit of a hushed tone a brief moment later, before their conversation had officially ended.
"Permission granted, cadet," the commander replied.
Cadet Smith continued to talk in a lowered voice. "To be honest, ma'am, these people make me just a little suspicious. It is clear that a number of them don't like us being here one bit, almost as if they are afraid of something. I don't have a clue what it might mean, ma'am, but it makes me uneasy... in a professional way, of course, Commander."
<tag Commander Hope>
Cadet Smith almost asked about what she meant by "troublesome readings," but he felt he had already taken too much of his superior's time. Besides, it wasn't his place to know. It was his place to stay alert and be prepared to protect Cadet Rogers and the other members of the away team. If Commander Hope wanted him to know, she would tell him on her own time.

She frowned and glanced around and back at the doctor. "Um ... sir, nothing visible I can put my finger on anyway. But something is, for lack of a better word... off."
He nodded as he took in the information, "completly understandable cadet, dont worry though, i'm sure one of the others will find something else that will help"
Just as he finished, he saw the doctor walk over to her cadet, with Cadet Nurem following, then she walked back towards commander Hope. "see what i mean?" he asked as he walked up to the cadet's side, who stood back a ways from the doctor.
"nothing to worry about just yet, just keep trailing her and act like her assistant" Daya said as he looked up, watching the surrounding areas, checking on the marine cadet, and keeping an eye out for any unusual company

"Commander, these people appear in good health, but there is something wrong with their adrinaline. They appear to have more than necessary for normal systems. I am not sure what has caused this, or if this is normal for them." She said trying not to be overheard by anyone, especially the locals.
She had started to cross back to her little work area, when she overheard the marine instructor. "Sorry, cadet, I didn't realize I had a shadow. Speak up next time. Wait just a minute." She said walking over to her gear, and she pulls something from her pack. She returned.
"Here, cadet, take this, and follow me." She said handing her a shovel. She meant to continue looking like a geologist, and figured it wouldn't hurt to help the cadet look like one of her crew. She didn't mind the protection, and even welcomed it when on a strange planet. She noticed her cadet a ways off.
Report, cadet, and I hope it explains the readings from earlier. She said when she texted her cadet. She walked back over to her area, and noticed the security cadet following her this time.

Brelev had read over Cadet Roger's PDD anxiosly. "Opinion Commander" S'reena asked.
"I have to admit I'm surprised that their adrenal system could be functioning like this and yet them be so normal. The Hormone system uses a series of feedback systems to maintain homeostasis, as I'm sure you are familiar with. This level of Adrenalins in thier system should trigger the release of a negative feedback, but this has obviosly not occured. This is not natural. Either an enyme is missing in thier systems to make the feedback hormone, or they simply break the rules of science as we know it." Brelev replied.
"When we get back to the ship I want you to work with Paris and Rogers to find out what's going on." S'reena orderd.
"Of course, There is nothing else I'd rather do. Cadet Nurem, you have taken an extension course in the sciences, so I would appreciate any help you could give us." Brelev asked.

"I think we should keep our eyes on them, more adrenline in the system can't be a good thing. We need more data though. I suggest we break up into teams. I think I would like Cadet to go with Daya, and I would like Cadet Smith to accompany me. I am heading more north through the village and past it to see if I can dig up any more information." She said giving suggestions for who might be good together and safe as well. She wanted to head through the village, but she had another task for her cadet.
"Cadet Rogers, I want you to check the status of our crew, make sure we aren't changing with the environment as well. Don't worry about checking Cadet Smith or myself. You can check us when we get back. Cadet Nurem and Brelev, could there be something about this planet that is so unnatural that it could affect us? Would you please check into that Brelev?" She said, and headed off with Cadet Smith in tow, not waiting for a response from the others.
She walked straight up to the start of the village, and looked like she intended to walk through. No one seemed to stop them, and she wondered why they were allowing this. It seemed so wrong, and she felt like she should take a different route. She knew that she had to get this information though, and she didn't know of another way to do it. She didn't know what was telling her this was wrong, and she decided to go ahead anyways.
"Cadet, keep your eyes open. We don't want anything to go wrong, and I have a bad feeling about this." She said giving him a bit of a warning of what might happen. He looked alert, and that made her feel better. She saw a few locals around, and she took out her tricorder to start scanning. She saw a few readings, but things were still vague on what could be wrong. She continued to track through the village taking readings.
In the center of the village several of these people were together, and she wondered how good this was going to be. She didn't like the look of them, and decided to go back the way she came. As she turned around she found that they were surrounded, and she realized how much trouble they could be in.
"Cadet, I do believe we are in for a lot of trouble here." She said as they got closer to them.
=^=Paris to Hope! We need mega assistance!=^= She shouted in her communicator before they came at them. She was knocked off her feet, and everything went black.
She opened her eyes finding herself tied up, gagged, and blind folded. She heard things around her, like dripping water, but she wasn't sure what was going on. She remembered being in the village, but that was her last memory. She managed to get the gag off, and she wondered if she was alone.
"Cadet, are you there?" She said, and heard nothing realizing he must not be there. Instead she got hit in the back of the head, and the gag was replaced. The blind fold was removed, and she saw it was bloody. She realized it was to help with her wound. She looked around, to find herself surrounded by several of the planet's inhabitance. She realized that she had been kidnapped, and she became afraid.

The forward viewscreen now displayed an extreme close up of the moon the Hanson was approaching, hidden behind that moon, the sensors told the crew that another ship was hiding.
“What can you tell me about that ship Mr. Reynolds?” Drew asked, “any idea who we might be dealing with here?”
<tag Reynolds and Farsir>
“That’s interesting,” Drew replied, leaning forward slightly in his chair, “we shouldn’t be finding unknown signatures this close to Federation space.”
Allowing his officers to get back to work, Drew stared out into space, and thought over his options. It seemed likely that whoever was behind the moon, were the very same people who had attacked the Ush system. However, it also seemed unlikely that the attackers would remain so close to the scene of the crime. Clearly, there was something else going on here and it was going to take some time to work out just what it was.
“Can we hail them?” Drew asked.
<tag Reynolds and Farsir>
“Understood, Cadet Pride, move us to hailing range, although stand ready for evasive action, I don’t want to take any chances.”
<tag Pride>
“No response Admiral,” Reynolds replied, “but they can certainly hear you.”
“That will do,” Drew answered, standing from his chair and walking to the centre of the bridge, “this is the USS Hanson to the unknown vessel, please identify yourselves.”
As expected, there was no response.
“We mean you no harm,” Drew continued, “We simply wish to know what you are doing in this system.”
This time, a shrill voice did reply.
“That is no concern of yours.”
“It is when a planet has been attacked,” Drew answered, “Did you witness the assault?”
“Yes,” the voice replied.
“Then perhaps you would like to answer some of our questions?” Drew asked.
Before anyone could reply, the Hanson shook violently.
“Report,” Drew called out, grabbing onto his chair for support.
“They have fired on us, and warped out of the system,” Reynolds reported.
“Damnit,” Drew cursed, “Cadet Pride, track them, Mr. Reynolds, arrange for any repairs that need to be carried out.”

Farsir heard commander Hopes question, and rechecked the link between the tricorders. He tapped a button on his station panel. "Confirmed commander, we are reading all tricorder readings succesfully. I can't fully understand the medicaL tricorders so I'm transfering that information to sickbay, as we speak,"
“What can you tell me about that ship Mr. Reynolds, any idea who we might be dealing with here?” Drew asked.
Reynolds just looked at his cadet, Farsir thought the look ment I'd like to hear your opionion so he did. "sir I believe we are dealing with a spieses we are unformilar with. They may have been in exploring this part of the galaxy for many years and didn't want us to know about them, or they just like to keep to themselves, or they could be here for the first time"
"That’s interesting," Drew said moving closer to the fromt part of his seat "we shouldn’t be finding unknown signatures this close to Federation space.”
"It's true this sector hasn't had much activity for a while sir, so maybe today was a good day to arrive." Jason had replied back, and with no response he went back to work."
A few moments later Drew asked "Can we hail them,"
Farsir looked down on the panel, "We can sir only if we were within communication ragne, due to the current possition we are in arund the moon The surface provents us to be able to reach the reang we normaly would be able to, However we were to do that sir we would lose all contact with the away team in the prosses of getting in range sir,"
“Understood, Cadet Pride, move us to hailing range, although stand ready for evasive action, I don’t want to take any chances.”
After Pride took the Hanson into communications range Farsir tried to hailing them again, "No response Admiral,” Reynolds reported “but they can certainly hear you.”
(OOC) I don't know how to the box with the quote of someone's post so I hope nobody minds that I just copie what Drew put but in a diffrent color as so you know it is not my own posting but a copy of someone elses work. If this upsets anyone including you Drew I am very sorry it won't happen again

"Report," Drew said.

“Damnit,” was Drew's only response, then in a calmer and in control tone he said “Cadet Pride, track them, Mr. Reynolds, arrange for any repairs that need to be carried out.”
Jason check the damgage report, "Admiral, the only damage appears to be from the outter hull and shields, which are functioning at thirty-five percent," he relooked at his instramentation then at Reynolds "Down to thrity-five percent after one hit is that possible sir, or am I reading this Wrong?"

Cadets Rogers and Smith met up with Commander Paris and the others from the away team. Paris and Hope were talking about some medical readings. Smith was not a medic, and understood very little about what they were saying. He did, however, figure out that something was wrong. The officers and cadets who understood what that stuff meant looked both confused and concerned.
Cadet Smith was very pleased when the doctor asked him to accompany her into town. For one thing, he was excited just to be taking part in more action than standing next to a cadet with his nose in a tricorderd. And for another, he was glad for the opportunity to make the doctor's acquaintance. He had no knowledge of her previous pranks, which, being a stiff-collarred Marine trainee, he would have disapproved of. All he knew was that Paris was a smart, young... attractive... officer that he would very much like to get to know.
As he was thinking this, Commander Paris was already on her way into the town. Cadet Smith moved quickly to catch up to her, though he trailed her slightly at first. "Cadet," she said, barely turning to look at him, "keep your eyes open. We don't want anything to go wrong, and I have a bad feeling about this." With that, Smith walked next to her, keeping a sharp and suspicious eye on the locals. He put his hand on the grip of his phaser rifle, which was still set to stun, as this was, theoretically, a friendly planet.
Cadet Smith raised his weapon and put his finger near the trigger. "Back off!" he shouted to the crowd. "We're not here to hurt you." He turned so that he and Commander Paris were back-to-back facing the menacing crowd. He pulled out his Type-II hand phaser to give to the doctor, but before he could say "take this!" someone had knocked her down. The phaser he was trying to hand her was knocked down too, and he now put both hands on the phaser rifle. As soon has he had a firm grasp on his rifle, he spun around and shot at the nearest person. The energy pulse stunned the and knocked him on his back. The crowd backed away very temporarily, but it was long enough for Cadet Smith to hit his combadge. "Smith to everyone, officer down, we are under attack!" He stood over the doctors body and shot at the ground around them several times, which seemed to scare the crowd just enough that they kept a modest distance. Fortunately for Cadet Smith, the phaser he had dropped earlier was on stun, because someone behind him picked it up and shot him in the back. He faded into unconciousness, and fell forward on his face.
When he came to, he was on his back, and the first thing he felt was a soft tapping on his shoulder. "Cadet Smith, are you alright?" He couldn't identify the voice, or even the words for that matter, as he was still a little out of it. Soon he noticed was that his phaser rifle was gone, which made him sit up with a start. He immediately reached for his concealed Type-I phaser. He drew the tiny weapon and pointed at the fuzzy image of a humanoid being crouched next to him. As his eyesight came into focus, he realized it was Cadet Nurem. It was she who had tapped on his shoulder and asked if he was alright. She put her hand up to his pointed phaser. "Easy there," she said as she pushed his hand down.
"Sorry," he said, and returned the phaser to its hiding spot. He looked a little flushed, but it wasn't clear whether this was due to embarassment or the phaser shot.
"It's okay," Nurem replied with a faint smile. "Are you alright?"
It was at this moment that the entirety of the preceding events hit him, and he looked around hurredly. "The doctor!" he shouted and jumped to his feet. He looked to Cadet Nurem standing next to her. "Where is Commander Paris, is she alright?"

Brelev had begun taking a few soil samples when her combadge alerted her. =A=Smith to everyone, officer down, we are under attack!=A=. Brelev took a moment to locate cadet Smith before closing her tricorder and heading in his direction. As she ran she pulled out the type 1 phaser from her belt, but continued to kep it down and none threatening. A crowd had formed and Brelev suspected that, like most humanoids, these aliens had a thing for spectatorship. "Get back, all of you, get back." she orderd, not really expecting anyone to listen. Surprisingly most of them complied. Perhaps it was her alien features, maybe the authority in her voice, either way she could see Cadet Smith sitting up, guided by Cadet Nurem. Cadet Rogers was seated nearby looking stunned.
"Is everyone alright, what happend? Where is Commander Paris?" Brelev asked rushing over.
<Tag cadets Smith, Tinyl and Rogers>
"You preformed Admirably, all of you. I'm going to see what I can track down. Everyone leaves a trace, someone who does a grab and run like this usually leaves a large one. Cadet Nurem, please assist me." Brelev put away her phaser and took out her tricorder. 'Try to locate Commander Paris's life sign. I'm going to scan the area for anything suspicouse her kidnappers may have left behind."

Cadet Pride was nearly thrown out of his seat when the Hanson was fired on. He kept thinking when are the Engineers going to install seat belts.
As quickly as it began it was over the alien ship warped out. Cadet Pride heard the order to start tracking the Alien ship. Cadet Pride heard the damage reports coming shields were down to 30% How could that have happened. What did they hit us with.
Cadet Pride was studying the his readouts. Admiral I Have them but if we don't start after them soon were going to loose there trail. They are distorting the warp trail and doing a better job of it this time. In another 20 Min's I wont be able to track them. There able to some how degenerate there trail and scatter the warp signature.
Cadet Pride sat at his station think for the first time how hard command was going to be. Do you follow and leave the away team behind, or do you stay and wait for the away team. Neither aspect was a good one. He sat there and waited to hear the Admiral orders.
Cadet Pride was hoping to get another crack at the alien ship he didn't like the idea of the aliens firing on his ship and wanted to make sure the aliens got that message if they meet up again.

Daya was once again standing by Commander Hope while everyone was busy doing what they needed. He overheard her comm badge call out to her =^=Paris to Hope! We need mega assistance!=^=
Daya turned towards the direction she had gone when she sent cadet Nurem back to him, and looked into the town. He started running towards the town and met up with Cadet Nurem and Cadet Rogers. "Lets move" he said as he kpet running, they turned around and being a hundred feet in front of him, led the way.
Moments later he heard Cadet Smith over his comm badge call for help. "Smith to everyone, officer down, we are under attack!"
"[word deleted]" Daya said as he sped up his pace, the two cadets still in front of him. When they arrived Cadet Nurem went to Smith's side and Commander Brelev was soon at the scene. "Is everyone alright, what happend? Where is Commander Paris?" Brelev asked rushing over.
Daya raised his phaser rifle and kept it pointed at the ground, keeping the crowd of inhabitants at bay. "Keep back" he said once and they didnt venture any further.
When Smith had finally stood up Daya went to his side, "you ok?" he asked looking into his eyes, checking for any signs of injury.

"Thats good to hear, i need you to tell me what happened, everything you can remember, i know you already told Brelev, but tell me now, two minds are better than one." <Tag Smith> Daya listened to his story, and a few thoughts came to mind. S'reena, alarmed by Paris' cry for assistance, followed by Smith's shout that an officer was down, sped after Brelev and Daya. She notived Brelev was doing a marvelous job keeping the crowd at bay, while Daya and his cadet tried to protect the away team.
The Romulan kneeled besides Smith, while keeping him supported in an upright sitting position. "Rogers, when you're up to it, Cadet Smith is injured." She knew the proud marine would probably write it off as nothing, so she gave him a stern glance. "Stay down cadet," she snapped, though not unkindly. The stern tone got his attention, it wouldn't do to pamper a marine cadet S'reena knew. "Now, tell me what happened. I know you've already told Brelev and Daya, but I would like to hear it in your own words."
<Smith/Rogers>
S'reena looked up at Daya, who had returned to them. "Any sign of Doctor Paris?" she asked, not even bothering to hide her concern. As ranking officer, she was responsible for the entire away team, and if one of them was injured it was also her responsebility. She wondered if she had failed anywhere, but she couldn't really find fault in her actions. "Take Nurem, and search the perimeter. Try finding her biosignature, or even her combadge signal."
<Daya/Nurem>
"Right, up you go cadet," S'reena told Smith, pulling him to his feet. "Rogers, stay with him. And yes, you're to take his concealed phaser. Cadet Smith is in no condition to fire any kind of weapon right now."
<Rogers/Smith>
S'reena tapped Brelev on her shoulder and moved a few paces away. "See if you can find out what got hem so agitated," she suggested, "and commander? Please be careful?"
<Brelev>
Next, S'reena tapped her combadge. "S'reena to Hanson. Admiral, we've got a serious problem. Doctor Paris has been abducted and there is no sign of her. Cadet Rogers was stunned and Cadet Smith was shot in the back. We could use a little assistance."

After being stunned Krythan found that it was very hard to concentrate on one thing, everything had happened so fast and he didn't know what was going on. The splitting pain he was feeling was not as grave as what the soldier had gotten so Krythan sucked it up, still feeling like hell, and took the scans.
"M-m-m-a-m, I-I Thi-i-ink H-e-e'll b-e-e-e,"He paused to try and control his speech," F-i-ne...." He gasped and flipped the tricorder back, right now all he wanted to do was get back to his quarters and sleep off the nasty effects of a stunning... This wasn't really what he had in mind when he had joined Star Fleet but he knew it would probably happen so he didn't bother giving himself anything for the stun, Instead he turned back over to the cadet and gave him a shot for the pain, "Th-a-t should do... Get to s-i-ck...bay..." He sighed with the last word and hoped someone would just take him back to the ship.
But at that moment he noticed that the doctor was gone and gasped, "Wheres the Doctor?" He asked to anyone, the effects of the stun feeling like nothing now. It would be hard to learn about medicines if his teacher was dead...Plus he had grown very fond of her professionally.

S'reena ran up shorty after Brelev got an answer out of Smith. S'reena tapped Brelev on her shoulder and moved a few paces away. "See if you can find out what got hem so agitated," she suggested, "and commander? Please be careful?"
"Aye Commander." Brelev replied. She looked around at the crowd, trying to decide who was worth asking. An ederly women stood nearby looking concerned at Cadet Smith, perhaps her compassion would make her more willing to cooperate. "Excuse me, Matriarch." Brelev used the respectful term for elderly women. "One of my crewmembers has gone missing, presumable while this attack occured. She is a friend of mine and our ship's Doctor. Did you see anything that might help us find her?"
The women looked hesitant. "My eyes are poor, my hearding worse, please speak up." Brelev repeated the question, speaking slower and louder. 'Ah, yes. There is much unrest on our planet, always has been but never so much. Many young people don't agree with the government, perhaps they took your friend as protest, maybe a a hostage."
This did not help Brelev "Did you see anything that happened here?"
"No, no I heard commotion, got bumped around by other's rushing over but I saw nothing that could help you." The women replied. "Speak to other elders, the youths are less likely to cooperate."
'Thank you for your time." Brelev replied. She wrote up what the women said on a PaDD and then looked around for someone else.
Everyone seemed to have a different opinion on what had happend, some said it was the police, one even argued that The Doctor had pulled a weapon on a local which Brelev knew was very unlikely. IN the end she figured out enough to determine that whoever had attacked The Doctors had beamed out soon afterwards, to were however was still to be determined

Angel didn't like her new environment, and she wondered what these people wanted with her. She was glad she still had her commbadge, but looking at it, she noticed it wasn't looking the best it could. She sighed and realized that it was no use, she just wouldn't be able to understand these people without her commbadge. Three of them were huddled together in the right corner, and she wondered what they were studying.
Jorta looked over at her companion. "See, I told you, they are spying on us. This isn't good, and they have to be stopped. What is this thing anyways? It shows so many things at once, and what are these of? She was scanning something, and a lot of it. We just don't know what. It might be wise to talk to her, find out what she knows. It doesn't look like she has anything that might translate for her though, and what if she can't speak this language?" She said, and stood straight again ignoring the device now.
Angel didn't like the look of this, and she wondered what might happen next. One of the spoke, and after that another merely nodded. The first came forward with something in its hand. Angel wondered what it could be, and decided she didn't want to find out. Two of them came forward and took the gag away holding her down. She pinched her mouth shut, realizing that the device was to go inside her. She wasn't a lab rat, and she wasn't ever going to be.
One of them spoke, and another grabbed Angel's nose pinching it shut. Angel knew what they were doing, it was the oldest trick in the book, but how long could she go without air? She didn't want to find that out either, but she had no choice. They notice this isn't working, and one of them puts an elbow in her ribs. She cries out in pain, and they make her swallow the small device.
"Muka, de joda? I said, can you understand me now?" She said, and Angel suddenly realized it was a translator like she had never seen before.
"Yes, I understand you, can you understand me too?" She said, and one of them nodded. She didn't like this at all. "What is it you want from me? Why have I been brought here? Is there something I am suppose to do?" She asked, and was almost hit for her questions.
"We will do the asking, not you." The female said, or at least what Angel thought was female. She heard it in the voice, but she wasn't certain. It was getting harder to keep her eyes open. She tried to concentrate. She noticed her tricorder was what they were looking at, and she groaned knowing this was going to be a long day, or night since she had no idea where she was or what time it might be.
"What is this thing? What were you doing with it?" She said making the questions easy.
"We call it a tricorder, and use it to scan things. I was checking the planets layers underneath its crust, also know as its surface. I am a biologist, and I was hoping to find out more about the planet." She said as she lied to them. She knew if they found out what she was really doing, then there would be a lot of trouble.
"You lie to us, and I know it!" The woman said angrily. "Take her to the Coruta, and see if we can get a truthful response from her." The woman said, and Angel didn't like the sound of that. She was more curious as to what the new translator could and couldn't do. She hoped the crew rescued her, and soon.

Drew listened to the damage report from Cadet Farsir, and silently thanked the gods who protected starships. The damage could be easily repaired, and would not cause any delays in the mission.
“I don’t know how they hit us so hard with one shot Cadet,” Drew admitted, answering Farsir’s question, “that’s something we will need to find out for next time, arrange for repair teams to get the shields back to full strength.”
“Aye sir,” Farsir replied, keying in commands to his console.
Drew thanked him, and then turned to listen to Cadet Pride’s report, another twenty minutes and they would lose track of the alien vessel. Although Drew wanted to catch up with them, he couldn’t leave the away team behind; they would have to wait to chase down the attackers.
“Continue to monitor them Cadet,” Drew said to Pride, “we can warp to there last known location and continue the search later on.”
As Farsir and Pride worked there stations, Drew returned to sitting back in his chair, for the time being there was nothing he could do, apart from trust his crew to do their jobs.
Just as Drew was thinking that, S’reena’s voice came over the comm system.
"S'reena to Hanson. Admiral, we've got a serious problem. Doctor Paris has been abducted and there is no sign of her. Cadet Rogers was stunned and Cadet Smith was shot in the back. We could use a little assistance."
“Understood Commander,” Drew replied, “We will beam them both directly to sickbay, what’s going on down there?”
<tag S’reena>
“And there is no sign of where Dr. Paris may be?”
<tag S’reena>
“We have been attacked as well,” Drew stated, “possibly by the same people who attacked the planet in the first place, I think its best if we regroup.”
<tag S’reena>
“I understand that Commander, but for now we need to poll our resources to find the Doctor, and whoever has done this, I want you and the away team to return to the ship.”
Closing the channel to S’reena, Drew looked up at Cadet Farsir at Operations and said, “Beam the entire away team back, Rogers and Smith directly to sickbay, activate the EMH to treat them.”
<tag Farsir>
“Very good point Cadet,” Drew replied, “Mr. Pride, take us back into transporter range of the planet.” <tag Pride>
“Hanson to Away Team,” Drew said, tapping his comm badge, “Commander, I need the Instructors to gather in the conference room once you return, we need to plan our next step, send the non-injured Cadets to the bridge, they can start the search effort for Dr. Paris from here.”

Tinyl felt like she was walking on eggshells. Something was not right, but there were no outward signs. Lt. Daya approached and listened to the conversation before speaking.
"Nothing to worry about just yet, just keep trailing her and act like her assistant"
Commander Paris handed her the shovel which she took and followed the doctor.
"Here, cadet, take this, and follow me."
"Yes Sir." Tinyl said as she thought at least this way I can keep an eye on her. She continued to listen to the conversation her thoughts running through various scenarios.
Commander Brelev joined the small group and addressed her.
"Of course, There is nothing else I'd rather do. Cadet Nurem, you have taken an extension course in the sciences, so I would appreciate any help you could give us."
"Sir, I am at a loss as to explain any of the readings, they don't make sense. I can only assume that these people are either not what they seem or an oddity of nature of some sort." Tinyl replied.
With this information stated Commander Paris sent her off with Lt. Daya. She was unsure exactly what was happening but chose to just follow orders and keep her eyes open. ---------- With the 'officer down' cry she headed for the trouble center, Lt. Daya leading the way.
She knelt beside Cadet Smith who had been struck by a phaser blast, knocking him out briefly.
"Cadet Smith, are you alright?"
She placed her hand on his upraised phaser which suddenly appeared in his hand.
"Easy there,"
"Sorry," he said, and returned the phaser to its hiding spot. He looked a little flushed, but it wasn't clear whether this was due to embarassment or the phaser shot.
"It's okay," Nurem replied with a faint smile. "Are you alright?"
Then came the realization that the doctor was missing.
"The doctor!" "Where is Commander Paris, is she alright?"

Cadet Pride: After hearing the Admirals order plotted a course and brought the Hanson back into Transport Range. It did sound like the away team was having problems of there own.
Pride: Admiral make I make a suggestions. Since the warp tray is fading fast and we have to get the away team aboard and search for the doctor. I could take a shuttle craft and follow the trail. The Hanson then could follow my warp tray and catch up to me. I would stay Hidden from the alien ship and we would know where they are going. I'm a good pilot and know how to stay out of sight. Not to mention with some of my ability's I could power down life support to minimal and all other non-needed function to stay hidden.
Pride: Sat back in his chair and waited for the Admiral answer He wanted to help and was thinking this way they can find the doctor and keep track of the alien ship at the same time

Farsir tracked the signles from everyones communicators and was ready to beam them aboard when he noticed that there was no sign of doctor Paris.
"Sir, I can beam everyone but Doctor Paris back, I'm having problems locking on to her. She might not be wearing her communicator,"
Cadet Pride turned to Drew "Admiral may I make a suggestions. Since the warp trail is fading fast and we have to get the away team aboard and search for the doctor. I could take a shuttlecraft and follow the trail. The Hanson then could follow my warp tray and catch up to me. I would stay Hidden from the alien ship and we would know where they are going. I'm a good pilot and know how to stay out of sight. Not to mention with some of my ability's I could power down life support to minimal and all other non-needed function to stay hidden."
Farsir turn toward the admiral "Perhaps I should join him incase there may be a need for two people in the shuttle," he turns his head to look at cadet Pride "not that I'm doubting you can do it on your own,"

"aye, sir beaming the rest of them aboard," after the away team was beamed aboard he checked to see if they were beamed into the right areas "transport seccesful, Rogers and Smith are in sickbay and the EMH has been activated to treat them,"

Brelev prepared to beam out as S'reena had orderd when he Romulan turned to her "Commander, you and I are going over the data we've gathered. I'm certain two scientist can come up with something."
"I should hope so." Brelev replied as they dematerialised. One o board the Hanson Brelev led the way to the nearest lab. "I'm concerned that by leaving Commander Paris on the planet that her kidnappers will see her as irelevent and expendable." she admited, not wanting to question S'reena's decision, but hesitent never the less.
"I doubt that," S'reena replied, following Brelev into the lab, "had they thought her expendable, we would've found her dead body. As long as they hold her, they may think they have some leverage over us. However, Starfleet does not negotiate with terrorists. Should they prove to be that, then Doctor Paris may very well be written off. But let's not run ahead of facts, shall we?"
"Perhaps you are right." Brelev agreed. "Let's download these readings and get to work, the sooner we have this mystery solved the sooner we can find Paris."
"Indeed," the Romulan replied, "what have we got so far?"
ooc: sorry brelev for modifying into your post....didn't want to reply with a fewliner.... ~s'reena~

Angel wondered what was going to happen in this Coruta, but something told her she didn't want to know. That had been several hours ago, and now they didn't need to even tie her up any more.
She hadn't ever felt so used as she did now, and had learned what torture really meant. She lay on the floor with nothing to restrain her. She had no inner resources to move let alone escape. She didn't like this place, and hoped that when she finally got away that they would never come back here. She hoped her crew would find her, and she wasn't sure how long before she would be broken. So far she had been able to keep her true intentions secret, but were they done torturing her? She didn't want to think about any more of that, and shuddered at the thought.
She was joined by that woman again. "So, are you ready to tell us what you are really doing here, or are we going to have a little more 'fun'?" She said looking down at the torn woman on the floor.
"I don't care what you do to me, I am telling you all the truth!" Angel said getting really mad.
"Okay, I see we still have grasped the situation, don't worry, I am sure you will get it soon." The woman said, and chuckled as she left Angel to ponder that.

"Aye ma'am" Daya said as he walked to the edge of town, with Nurem close behind him. Taking a afew readings n a tricorder he didnt find anything on this side, nor any of the others. He was in the middle of town, where the doctor had been, whenhe looked up at S'reena, shaking his head.
The Romulan scowled audibly, then waved to the rest of her team to get their attion. "Away team, regroup!" she called, "we're going back to the ship." Since both Rogers and Smith had already been beamed out, all that was left were Brelev, Daya and Nurem.
"Get freshed up, we'll be meeting in conference room two in fifteen minutes for debriefing," S'reena told them, "and to compare notes. We need to devise a plan to rescue Doctor Paris. Daya." She glanced directly at the CTSO. "You and Nurem go past sickbay and see if Smith's ready for action again. I'm certain he won't want to be left behind, not when his pride's at stake."
"Aye"
When the team arrived on board Daya and Cadet Nurem went straight to sickbay. He walked in to see Cadet Smith sitting on a biobed, getting a final check up.
"How is he?" he asked the closest nurse, who looked up. "He'll be fine, but i recommened he stay off his feet for a......."
"Great, i need him" Daya said as he looked at the nurse, Smith hopped down from the biobed and followed him out of sickbay, towards the conference room.

Cadet Smith related briefly the event that had taken place there. Commander Brelev immediately enlisted the assistance of Cadet Nurem to try and track down the kidnapped doctor.
"I'm fine, sir," Cadet Smith replied confidently, though somewhat unconvincingly. "It was only on stun."
Again Smith told his short tale, this time including more detail. When Lieutenant Daya asked about other memories, such as faces or sounds, Cadet Smith went silent. He squinted and stared off into nowhere in particular and replayed the riot in his mind. Only this time he tried to focus on more than just the obvious. His mind's eye shot to the moment before Commander Paris was knocked out. Although he wasn't able to directly witness who hit her, he focused on the moments immediately after that. He saw a man standing there in the front of the crowd, dressed mostly like the other locals, but his robes were black and he had his hood up. Smith froze the scene in his mind and concentrated on that man. He was the same height as the others (around 5 1/2 feet tall), but he seemed like he had a slimmer and more athletic build. And his skin -- or what little of it showed underneath his hood -- was far paler than the other natives.
Smith moved on and let his mind's eye scan the rest of the crowd as the action played out. He picked out at least two others in the crowd that were similarly dressed and had the same pale skin tone. Then he saw another, just as he was being shot in the back, standing in the doorway of a building. At that point his memories were over and Smith focused back on his instructor. He described what he remembered, then looked around. "There," he said, pointing to a building near the edge of the town. "That's where the fourth hooded man was standing."
Bedell Smith, a Marine Cadet, was uncomfortable having someone physically supporting him like that. He wasn't even injured, but a slight headache and a sore back. He would heal in no time if they would just let him get up! But the First Officer's orders were clear, and Smith was bound to obey any lawful order. Unfortunately, this qualified. So he sat and told his tale, volunteering his vague but certain memories of the hooded men.
Commander Hope turned to address a couple other members of the away team. Among other things, Smith overheard her tell Lieutenant Daya to take Cadet Nurem along. "Poor Nurem," Smith thought (but did not say), "she seems to be getting dragged all over the place today!"
Hope turned back to Smith and offered him a helping hand, indicating that he could finally get up off his rear and get into gear.
As much as it pained him, he reluctantly handed over his concealed phaser. He had every confidence in himself that he could still fight in his condition, but it would much easier with a phaser. Commander Hope had not, however, said anything about the knives in his boots, and thus they stayed right where they were.
Cadet Smith stood there, weaponless, his leaders convinced he was too injured to do anything. He reached around to where he was shot in the back. The uniform jacket was hardly scathed, and he didn't feel a bruise or any other external injury, either. He was still sore, though. He did not say a word about it, however, for it is not becoming for a Marine to complain.
As he stood there, he overheard the First Officer talking to the ship. It became evident that he was about to be transported to Sickbay (though what they could do for him that walking it off wouldn't, he wasn't sure), and he prepared himself mentally. When he was surprised by anything, such as an unannounced transport, Cadet Smith had a tendancy to react somewhat violently.
Sickbay appeared around him a few moments later. What Smith surmised must be the EMH (by the blank collar) approached him and directed him to a biobed. Smith sat down and answered some routine questions, breathed deeply, described the pain, etc. Then the 'doctor' called a nurse over, spat some medical technobabble at her, and moved on. The nurse was a relatively low-ranking enlisted female, about Smith's age, and very attractive. She smiled shyly. "So you were actually shot, Cadet...?"
"Smith," he replied with a subly flirtatious grin, "Bedell Smith. And you are...?"
"Oh sorry, how rude of me," she blushed, "Ellen Hopkins."
"Good to meet you, Ms. Hopkins. But to tell you the truth, the shot was only a stun, and I'm fine, really I am."
"Well, Cadet Smith," she said slightly playfully, "the doc says I gotta give you this medicine."
Although reluctant to the concept, Smith was much more willing to give in to this attractive young nurse. "You gotta do what you gotta do," he said indicating his willingness. The tips of her fingers were soft against his skin as she administered the hypospray. Their eyes met for a few seconds afterward, but the moment was shattered by Lieutenant Daya barging in.
As nice as this little encounter had been, the arrival of the CTSO snapped Cadet Smith back into mission mode, and he jumped off the biobed as soon as he heard the nurse say "he'll be fine." He was eager to get out of there and on to rescuing Commander Paris. Smith followed Lieutenant Daya out of Sickbay and up to the command deck. The three of them (Daya, Nurem, and Smith) entered the conference room and sat down at the long table.
OOC: I hope this post isn't too long, but it seemed like so long since I last posted, lol.
