she knowing how long she’d been unconscious, Tracy woke up coughing, only semi-pinned by the beam resting across her ribcage. After managing to pull herself out from under the debris, Ensign Everettt moved to check on the still unconscious Cadet, relieved to find a pulse. A few minutes later and the debris was at least cleared from the young man, and the operations officer knelt beside him once more. “Can you hear me, Cadet? Are you alright?”
James awoke looking at the young ensign who had been with him when the incident had happened. He replied "yeah,I'mm fine mam." he thought' now this would get me to sickbay.' he said "I was on my way to Sickbay to find out what power they needed and the lift dumped me here." he started to push some parts of the the Debris away from him and looked at the ensign in front of him, he thought' how the hell are we gona get back up from here'
<Anabelle>
"Back to the bridge, of course I will" replied James getting to his feet, he continued on It is coing to be a long climb but I'm willing if you are?"
<Anabelle>
He moved towards the doors and started to help open them he he started to wonder if this was the right thing to do but he had to folow what she told him to do, he gave her a qizzical look as if to say you first.
a few moments later He started climbing up the turbolift shaft folowed closely behind by the ensign he thought how does this look. Just then he noticed a lisft heading towards them. "whach out!" he shouted as the lift headed towards them.

He thanked Kayles when the Admiral beamed out and the force field kicked in trapping Commander Hope. Cadet Annabelle sudden non appearance and taking out one of the Drones even the odds alittle. They still had one more drone to deal with and he felt a little wierd talking to air. But she was there and if she couldn't be seen then it was a advantage,
" Cadet take my phaser I just changed the settings take out that other borg. Dont destroy it we might learn something from its storage device."
Looking back to where Lt Commander Egan was he yelled " Stay there Commander Egan and thank you for the force field and thank god our chief engineer is a magican. As soon as the drone is taken care I want the memeroy storage device to see if we can learn anything"
He still wasn't sure where Admiral drew was but he was pretty sure he was safe. He waited for Cadet Annabelle to take care of things. He was going to have to ask her about this invisiblity trick she had. Not to mention how to scan for it , it was nice to have but did have some security risk to consider with it. Officer who could this would be a benefit and a risk if they ever went off the deep end.
Looking back to where Commander Hope was he could tell the process was not complete yet. She still appeared mostly Romulan for the moment. Which could be useful if they could get through to her.
Trying to draw everybody attention to give Cadet Annabelle a chance to do her thing. He prayed her early shot was not luck but skill he stood up and started talking to commander Hope drawing the attention of the other drone.
" Commander Hope I would have to say your appearance is quite a improvement in my book. Not many people could pull off the drone look but I have to say your doing great. Why dont you tell what you want with this ship"

Now that it was clear the Cadet was going to be alright, Tracy dismissed anything he was saying and immediately started determining what to do. “Well we need to get to the bridge. I have a very important message for Admiral Drew.”
"Back to the bridge, of course I will. It is going to be a long climb, but I'm willing if you are?" James replied, his words barely registering with the focused Ensign, who was already prying the turbolift doors open to use the shaft as the way up. The young Cadet moved to help her without being asked, but she barely spared him a glance, too worried about the Borg and determined to deliver her message to think about anything else.
Once the doors were open and the two began to climb, Tracy allowed her mind to race in a million different directions as she settled into the simple rhythm of climbing. Where had the Borg come from? Was she going to end up as a drone? The thought of being assimilated and losing herself in the all powerful will of the collective sent chills down her spine. She’d rather die than become one of them.
"Watch out!" The cry of warning from Cadet Stewart drew the young woman out of her thoughts, her eyes flying upward to see the lift barreling down on them out of control. Glancing around in almost a panic, her eyes fell on an emergency lever and Ensign Everret pulled it without even thinking causing clamps to release just above them in the tracks of the lift.
“Go, go!” Tracy cried out as the two of them scrambled to get below the clamps and as far away from the lift as possible. A few seconds later, and a screeching thud just above them signaled the lift slamming to a halt. For a moment, there was silence except both of them breathing heavily from their rush to get out of the way. Glancing up at the immovable bulk of the lift, Everret sighed.
“Well…we’re not going to be getting to the bridge that way.” Tracy remarked sarcastically, glaring at the bottom of the lift. Almost as a confirmation, the car creaked above them and the shaft shook slightly, signaling the lift wasn’t going to stay there forever. Looking more closely, Tracy found that one of the clamps had broken outright on impact, and another was cracked. It was only a matter of time before the lift went plunging down the remainder of the tunnel.
“Ok…we need to get out of here.” Ensign Everret commented almost to herself as she glanced around for any sign of what deck they were on. 13…well that was better than 15. “The access point for Deck 13 is on the other side of that lift, so we need to climb down and get out on Deck 14. From there, we’ll find another way to the bridge.” Tracy muttered, still speaking more to herself than James as the two began to climb back down in a hurry.

"Stay there Commander Egan and thank you for the force field and thank god our chief engineer is a magician. As soon as the drone is taken care I want the memory storage device to see if we can learn anything."
“Understood.” Egan replied, glancing nervously at the incarcerated Cadet and Commander. The Bajoran felt a wave of sympathy, as it could be any one of them in that position…getting assimilated was just a matter of being in the wrong place at the wrong time. While Commander Hope appeared conscious and…well Borg…Cadet Bit-Cloud was unconscious, groaning occasionally. Did drones feel pain? Redos didn’t think they did, and wondered if something had gone wrong with the assimilation, perhaps sparing the young man from actually becoming Borg.
On a whim, while still keeping an eye on the drone roaming around the bridge, Lieutenant Redos pulled out his tricorder and aimed it at the two former Starfleet personnel behind the forcefield. It did indeed appear that Commander Hope’s brain wave patterns were somewhat altered, not entirely but enough to indicate communication and modification from the Collective. The Cadet’s, however, appeared untouched. Even with the nanoprobes roaming his bloodstream and the implants sprouting from his skin, his brain waves were still normal.
Glancing around the bridge to find the most senior officer still present and finding Commander Manto by the science station, Egan called out, “Ma’am, the Cadet has been physically assimilated but doesn’t appear to be connected to the collective. If we beam him to sickbay, it should be fairly simple to save him.”

S'reena stood motionless within the forcefield that held her, watching her commanding officer get beamed away. From the corner of her eyes she saw a Trill woman approaching, wearing a malicious smile upon her face. She listened as the woman started barking orders, seeing how she relished being in command of the bridge now that Drew was away.
To the Borg/Romulan's surprise though, Drew came walking back onto the bridge, looking none to pleased. ~that's my Drew~ she thought, or rather the part of her that was still S'reena though. That part knew how the admiral loathed being transported to safety, or even surrounded by security at dire times. He was a man of action, a man used to be on the frontier. He wasn't a desk-jockey, fearing to be in danger. No, Drew lived on danger.
Outside the forcefield, Bit-Cloud had collapsed and S'reena saw a Bajoran kneel beside him, talking to someone without her peripheral line of vision. "Beam him to sickbay," S'reena spoke softly, causing everyone to jump. So far, apart from the 'resistance is futile', she had remained silent. "He is defective, he cannot be assimilated."
The red light of her implant turned upon Redos, scrutinising him. There weren't many cadets on the bridge now; S'reena assumed they were out and about, attending to various duties. "He needs to go to sickbay," she insisted, upon which someone apparently took mercy and transported the unconscious Vulcan cadet away. "Thank you," S'reena added.
Her expression hardened, pain visible in her remaining eye. The nano's doing their work were hurting her, causing her agony. She looked at her hand, sprouting another implant, as though the limb wasn't hers. She took a step forward, towards K'ratak and the invisible Annabelle Bennett. Her implant had picked up the girl's presence. The Romulan bounced off the forcefield twice, before finally just simply stepping through it, her body having adapted to it's frequency.
A phaser shot struck her, but it bounced off harmlessly. She was part of the collective, she had adapted. Raising her hand towards the invisible cadet, she grabbed the girl's shoulder though to everyone else it appeared as if she were reaching into thin air. "Your biological distinctiveness and knowledge shall be added to the Collective," she spoke firmly. She ignored the Klingon standing beside the girl altogether; the Borg didn't need him just yet.
Commander Dharma Meri glared at the assimilated first officer from the safety of her perch behind a console, yanking Drew down beside her. "Shoot her!" she cried fanatically, "destroy that Borg!"
Drew just glared at her. "Don't kill her, she's not fully assimilated!" he called, revoking his night-watch officer's order. He may not trust the Romulan woman, he may not even like her very much lately, may even find her too stubborn, but she had proven to be loyal, even when she visibly hadn't been. He vividly recalled several deceptions on her part, remembered her munity, but also recalled her courage.
S'reena turned, looking at Drew, then turned back to the cadet she was holding in her grip. "I'm sorry," she whispered, bringing her other hand up.

Things were not going well for them Commander hope had broken the force field. She also had his cadet it appeared she coult detect her with somthing other then normal sight. Knowing his phaser would not work and that both his cadet and the admiral were in danger.
He took just a moment to think he had studyed everthing he could find on the borg. He knew there primary link to the collective was in the right shoulder area. He also knew that he would have to be careful not to hurt Commander Hope to much. Not to mention this would not fix the problem either just slow it down. Her borg body would repair its self and reestablish its link quickly.
Not waisting any more time he drew his kling blade from his back. With one quick motion he threw it will all the strenght he could muster and hit there Romulan Commander in the left shoulder. It was only luck that she was not wearing all the borg armor, the blade hit is mark and had gone deep. The only think he could pray for was the information was correct and the link would terminate for a moment but for how long was anybody guess.
He looked at the Romulan commander and thought he saw a glimer in her eyes. He had wanted to do that since coming aboard. Although not like this no matter how much he hated her he took no joy in what had been done to her. There would be no honor in this for him only regret.
" Commander Hope if you can hear me let Annabelle go and step away from the Admiral. If there's anything left of you please do this. If not your not going to leave me with alot of choice's "

Annabelle wasn't quite sure how it happened. One minute she was taking the Phaser and moving to disable the final Borg and the next, she was in the clutches of the former first officer. She struggled to break free from the assimilated commander, knowing that if that hand came to her face, she would be assimilated as well.
Just as the hand came up, K’ratak threw his blade at Commander Hope. He then proceeded to talk to the Romulan. "Commander Hope if you can hear me let Annabelle go and step away from the Admiral. If there's anything left of you please do this. If not your not going to leave me with a lot of choice's"
Annabelle, hoping that the distraction would be enough to loosen the Commander’s grip, tensed her muscles and twisted. She felt the hand give, and dodged out of the way of the other, moving free. She quickly moved out of reach, training the modified Phaser that K’ratak had given her on the Commander. She tried to remember her academy training.
What were the Borgs’ weaknesses? Weapons with mass she recollected. Remembering the events in the mess hall with the tray and seeing that the Commander’s head was not completely covered, Annabelle looked around for something to knock the Romulan unconscious.

Methos was standing on the bridge when the Borg appeared, one of them being Commander Hope. He joined in the craziness of fighting the borg, two of which went down before the forcefields were enacted around the commander. He watched as she had the two cadets beamed to sickbay and as she seemingly grabbed nothing in mid-air. As the tubules extendend from her hand, Methos saw her lips move. Methos quickly glanced around and saw a phaser rifle laying on the floor. He grabbed it and jumped at the Commander/Borg. As he landed behind her, he felt the rifle hit her in the base of her neck. She crumbled to the floor, and Methos heard another thud on the floor. Methos looked at Lt. Commander Redos and said, "Beam her to sickbay."
He then tapped his commbadge. =/\= Bridge to sickbay, prepare for a Borg being beamed to you. It was or is Commander Hope.=/\=

Lorna was busy with her research, then word filtered down that there were Borg on the bridge, Commander Hope and Cadet Bit-Cloud among them. The involuntary shiver went down Lorna's spine as she double checked that all her staff were armed and then passed round hyposprays full of high dose anesthetic/neural paralyser combinations. Although you needed to get close to use it, the biological components of a Borg could be taken out quite effectively.
Lorna didn't know what was happening on the bridge but no Borg had beamed into sickbay and she couldn't hear shooting, both of which had to be good signs. Then an unconscious Borg materialised on biobed 2. It took Lorna a second to recognise Cadet Bit-Cloud under the implants. Her tricorder readings indicated that the assimilation had not affected the young man's brain. She pressed a hypospray to his throat and set to works stopping the nanites. His normal Vulcan physiology had to reassert itself before some of the implants could be removed.
She, Elenna and K'Lanna set to work removing as much of the Borg technology as they could while his body started to work again.
=/\= Bridge to sickbay, prepare for a Borg being beamed to you. It was or is Commander Hope.=/\= Lorna looked up at the ceiling. =/\=Thanks for the warning, Colonel. We'll be ready. Dr Holsen out.=/\=
Dr Kwan took over for her on Cadet Bit-Cloud's surgery. Lorna and two nurses awaited the arrival of Commander Hope. The Commander arrived on biobed 3. She was currently unconscious, but Lorna pressed a hypospray of anesthetic to her throat just o be on the safe. Scans indicated that the large knife in her shoulder was disrupting her connection to the collective. Lorna sealed off the transmitter and then set to work removing it. She know it was going to be a long day.
Several hours later Lorna was feeling exhausted. Her two most recent patients were back to their normal shade of pale green and the last of the Borg technology had been removed. S'reena's slight skull fracture had been repaired and it did not seem that there was any neurological damage to either of them. It was now just a matter of waiting for them to come round and seeing how much they remembered.
She glanced up realising that she had been lost in the moment for a second or two, Cadet Bit-Cloud was sitting up in bed. Lorna walked to his side.
"Hello Cadet. It's good to have you back, you gave us all quite a scare. How are you feeling?" It wasn't really an adequate question given what the young man had just been through but...
Tag: Bit-Cloud
(OOC: You haven't been out that long, I figure you'll want to be in on the end of the mission.)
After her conversation with the cadet Lorna went to check on Commander Hope, she checked the read-outs carefully, she was just on the verge of coming round.
"Commander Hope, S'reena," she called. The woman's eyes opened and she looked around. "You're in sickbay," Lorna explained "How are you feeling?"

"Huebner to Engineering, I am at the door, please let me in."
Noah looked up. "Rens, Someone let the lad in," he called to the technician nearest the door.
After Huebner entered, Rens was quick to close it again. Huebner approached Noah.
"Sir, I have been sent down from the bridge to assist with the shields. I have some ideas about modifying the shields as I have worked with them in the past. If we can get enough power to the shields we can set them up in randomly modulating frequencies which should help keep the Borg off of us for a while. Further, if you happen to have a modulated regenerator coil we could incorporate that into the shield system so that we will have a primitive version of regenerative shielding."
"No modulated regenerator coils, but have a couple spares of standard regenerator coils in store in Cargo Bay one, which you could modify to suit your purpose. Go for it. We'll work on the frequency modulation from here."
<Tag Huebner>
"Johnson, you catch all that?" he called to the nearby Defensive systems specialist.
"Aye, sir. I'm already on it."

The Borg/Romulan staggered back when the large blade smoothly cut into her shoulder, disabling her connection with the Collective in the process. She cried out at the sudden silence in her mind, feeling suddenly very lonely and abandoned. The pain of the wound seared through her body, reminding her of the fact that her body was still organic and therefor subject to injury if she wasn't careful.
The Klingon had released his blade as she stagged back, but she hadn't released the cadet. She felt the girl wrench away from her grasp and she cried out in frustration. She didn't know who or what she was right now; she was cut off from the Collective yet the people she knew to be her friends weren't helping her either.
She had seen the hatred in the Klingon's eyes, recalling that this was what he had wanted to do ever since he'd come aboard. She'd seen it in his eyes before, and had made sure to keep well away from his grasp.
Her vision exploded when something struck her hard on the back of her head and then her vision went completely dark as her limp body struck the deck. After an unknown length of time, she awoke in sickbay, looking up at the Human chief medical officer.
"Commander Hope, S'reena," she called. The woman's eyes opened and she looked around. "You're in sickbay," Lorna explained "How are you feeling?"
The Romulan blinked, confused at hearing her name. Was this her name? What was her designation? A look of pure frustration crossed her features. "We.." she started, then shook her head, trying to find the right word.
Then the Hanson shook violently as two more Borg cubes dropped out of transwarp and opened fire on the Federation starship. S'reena fell from her bed and landed hard on the deck.
On the bridge, Dharma shoved Drew from their hiding place the moment the Borg were gone from the bridge. "Fire!" she cried, pointing at the screen, "destroy those ships!" She was knocked off her feet, striking her head hard on a railing and collapsed soundlessly to the deck.
At environmental control Lieutenant Jared Arakkis, assistant security chief, frowned. "We're taking quite a pounding," he reported, "life support is failing on decks 6 and 15, hull breaches on decks two, three and seven, emergency bulkheads are in place."

Bit looked to the doctor. "fine" he said looking around before trying to remember what was going on. The last thing he remembered was running from borg then nothing everything went blank till just now.
He got out of the biobed and started to stretch before losing balance and hitting the ground hard as the ship shook from being attacked. He picked himself back up then remembered what was happening. He then started to leave SickBay when a nurse blocked the door.
"And where do you think your going?" the nurse said looking at Bit. "Umm well i was going to go try and help" he said looking for ways to go around the nurse
"Oh no your not, What your going to do is go back and lay down for a little bit and relax and get some better" the nurse said pointing to a empty bio bed.
Bit sighed then turned around and went back to the bio bed and laid down as instructed.

Annabelle stopped looking as soon as she saw Methos started moving. Commander Hope fell to the floor and was quickly beamed to sickbay. Annabelle weighed up the situation, wondering whether or not to unshield. There was no immediate danger and it was clear from S’reena’s actions, that although the rest of the crew couldn’t see her, the Borg had adapted. They could see her. She moved back to the duct and quietly reappeared, not wanting to cause alarm.
K’ratak noticed her appearing and motioned her over to him. The rest of the crew had barely noticed her, apart from the fact that she was friend not foe, as they rushed about trying to keep the ship under control and defended, although the captain did give her a strange look. She wondered how many people knew of her ‘skill’. She didn’t want too many people to know unless they had too.
She crossed the room and began calling up shield and weapons data on K’ratak’s orders. She was worried that the shields were still a long way from being any use. She tapped her comm. badge. “Bennet to Engineering. How long until the shields are working?”
<Tag Huebner or engineering crew>
The ship shook and Annabelle was once again thrown to the floor. She hoped it wouldn’t become a habit. As she climbed to her feet once more, she glanced at the view screens and groaned. Great. More Borg. She turned to her instructor. “what do we do now?”

Not wasting any time when the ship rocked from weapons fire, he turned to his cadet who was freed from Commander Hopes grasp. Not wasting he turned to his cadet " Get What ever weapons system you can on line and target the the borg ship thats still in active. We might get lucky and destory it and give us some cover to get out her."
Looking around the bridge he could still see some shock on officer faces, accept for Admiral drew who was already taking his seat and preparing for combat. With out a word he yelled his voice command to the computer " Red alert all hands mand battle stations"
turning and looking at colonel Methos, " Your going to have to handle internal security, me and my cadets wont have time to handle both tatical and security with that many borg ships"
" Admiral I would suggest we try and get out of here , we are out gunned by a factor of 10."
Tapping his combadge " Commander Bates we have 4 Borg ships off our port bow. I need shields and engines unless you want to live on one of those ships."
Looking over at the science sections " We either need a way to become invisible or a way out of her we wont last long against them"
Looking back down at his readouts and Annabelle " You got any ideas there cadet now would be the time to voice them. I would maybe see if you could get anything out of Commander Hope that might help. Try contacting sick bay and see if you can talk to her"

"Have you ever enhanced shields?" Konal asked Clark. Clark had been through quite the gauntlet with his medical issues, but sickbay had taken care of him, and he was once again on the bridge.
<Clark>
Konal rubbed her neck ridges with her left hand. It was her nervous habit as the intensity on the bridge increased, and the tension built in her muscle.
There was not a lot of time for teaching, being in the situation they were in, so Konal took the reins more than she usually would.
"An inverted harmonic sequence will work for now, but they will adapt to the algorithm quickly. Even if we use a good randomization algorithm, they'll catch on."
She punched it in quickly. Time was of the essence.
"Shields are rotating, that'll buy us a minute or so. We are working on a better solution as I speak." she said loudly over her shoulder, ensuring that Commander K'ratak could hear her.
Konal was clueless on what to do next. If she didn't know what to do, how could she expect her Cadet? Intuition, however, wasn't learned, it was conditioned. Given that that Clark knew his field well, which it seemed he did, he should be able to utilize the tools at his fingertips to create a solution. Then again, so should Konal.
"What about graviton bursts?" Konal said. "It damaged the ship when we came through the rift. Maybe we can shield ourselves with them. Photons would bend around us, and it would make us essentially invisible."
The only problem was that they did not have anything to generate gravitons.
"The RIFT!" Konal yelled to her Cadet, half scaring him. "The location where we came out of the rift. It's closed, but there are still a large amount of transient gravitons in the area. If we align the center line of the ship orthogonally with the field, we can use the warp core to amplify them around our shield."
She turned, "How fast can you modulate the warp field around the ship to convolute the wave signatures with the graviton field?" She checked the console, "We only have less than a minute to get back to the rift site and get the warp core working that way in order to create this shield, but it should work!"
She turned back to Cadet Clark. "Start reprogramming our external sensor array to create a sequential neutrino burst, firing each one on the ship in a circular direction. This will cause the graviton field to align correctly when we are in the former rift."
"If this works, it might get us home she mumbled." She didn't tell anyone- it might be a pipe dream, but the rift, if the gravitons aligned correctly, had a small chance of reopening.

Bates:"No modulated regenerator coils, but have a couple spares of standard regenerator coils in store in Cargo Bay one, which you could modify to suit your purpose. Go for it. We'll work on the frequency modulation from here."
Huebner thought, "Great, that's just great. I have something to work with but I have to get back to Cargo Bay 1. I have to go back out on a ship possibly crawling with Borg and find a cargo bay, modify a regenerator coil and get it into place."
Just then he heard Bennett's voice on the com, “Bennet to Engineering. How long until the shields are working?”
Huebner replied, "Engineering is working on rotating the shield modulation and getting power to the shields. I have the information I need to make them regenerate, but it's going to take some time for me to get it up and running."
Huebner turned to an Engineering crewman and said, " You're with me!" Then the two of them sprinted out of Engineering heading for the Cargo Bays. On the way Huebner asked the crewman his name. "I am Arik Jennsen, sir!", said the crewman. "Nice to meet you Jennsen, here you might need this!", as Huebner tossed him his hand phaser. Huebner unslung his phaser rifle and they continued onward.
~10 minutes later~
Huebner and Jennsen arrived near Cargo Bay 1 when a Borg drone suddenly appeared in front of them. the drone grabbed Jennsen and tubules sprung out of it's wrist latching on to Jennsen's neck. Huebner didn't hesitate, he quickly fired a shot hitting the Drone square in the face, dropping it to the deck with a crash. Huebner pulled out his tricorder and began scanning Jennsen. "Oh, no! I was too late!", Huebner cried as a strange metallic piece sprang from Jennsen's cheek. "Huebner to Sickbay, I need an emergency beam out! Jennsen has been partly assimilated by the Borg." Moments later Jennsen vanished in the sparkle and whine of a transporter beam.
Huebner took a few minutes to catch his breath and whisper a prayer for Jennsen, hoping that the good Doc would be able to heal him before it was too late. Sucking in a deep breath Huebner strode into the Cargo bay. After a brief search and several self sealing stem bolts later he found the regenerative modulator coil he was looking for. Realizing that he had left the tools in the hallway he cautiously checked outside the door, but saw nothing. Creeping out he grabbed the tools and returned to the Cargo Bay. He quickly set to work.
~15 minutes later~
Huebner finally had the part modified correctly and realized that he now had to get the piece to an access port for the shield system. He accesses the computer and found directions to the nearest port, miraculously on this deck! Sprinting down the hall he opened the door and was nearly knocked off his feet as the entire ship shook from some kind of blast. Quickly gaining his footing he entered the port and quickly snapped the piece into place.
"Huebner to Engineering, I am done with the part and it is in position, the rest is up to you!
<Tag Bates>
Huebner then tapped his combadge and said, " Huebner to Methos. I have completed my assignment and am requesting new orders, Sir!"

listening to Commander Manto and her idea " I hope your right commander I really do, today is a good day to die. Its just I have dinner planns and dont want to miss them" Looking around the bridge and feeling the ship rock from Borg weapons fire. The shields were back on line but his internal scans showed a few borg had beamed aboard.
Tapping his combadge " Colonel Methos you have 6 borg aboard heading for engineering" Tapping his combadge again " Commander Bates you have 6 borg coming your way eta 3 mins, I would suggest you get ready there not happy that you got the ship systems back on line"
He looked back down at the Admiral " I can clear a way to the spot Commander Manto as picked. We will only get one shot at this sir I get clear a path to it, I can not clear a path out of it if things dont work there will be to many borg ships directly in our way"
Looking back down at his readouts Tapping his combadge again " Commander Hope if you are awake we could use what ever information you might have on the borg to punch through some of there shields right about now."

S'reena was in the process of replying to Lorna's question when the Hanson was violently shaken in a way that meant something nasty had happened to it. Lorna was tossed of her feet to the deck and rolled. Her arm banged into the side of S'reena's biobed. As the shaking subsided Lorna came to her knees and looked around sickbay. The two cadets were still safely on their beds but the FO had fallen to the deck along with pretty much everything else.
Under the flickering lights Lorna knelt at S'reena side quickly checking her over. She was unconcious again but there was no further damage done. Lorna breathed a quiet sigh of relief. The last thing the FO needed now was an aggravated head injury. With the aid of one of the nurses she got Commander Hope back on to the biobed and carried out a more thorough scan. The woman's eyes flickered and Lorna breathed yet another sigh.
"Welcome back yet again Commander." She smiled grimly. "How are you feeling?"

"I'm pretty sure the trouble has just got worse," Lorna said, knowing that was more or less obvious from the shaking that had occurred.
"Commander Hope if you are awake we could use what ever information you might have on the borg to punch through some of there shields right about now." Commander K'ratak's voice came from the comm system. Lorna looked at S'reena.
"I know you're not well and you know you're not well but I'm not going to stop you giving information if you feel up to it."

"Huebner to Engineering, I am done with the part and it is in position, the rest is up to you!"
"Thank you, Cadet," Noah replied, "We're ready down here."
"Bates to Bridge, I've got that shielding you wanted. That should prevent further beam-ins."
A minute later another call came in. "Commander Bates you have 6 borg coming your way; ETA 3 mins. I would suggest you get ready. They're not happy that you got the ship systems back online."
"I imagine not," Bates replied. "Thank you, Commander." He then turned to the rest of engineering. "Alright everyone, we've got 6 drones on their way here. I don't often give this order, nor do I like to, but everyone arm yourselves. Brac, phaser rifles all around."

When Methos got the call from Commander K'ratak, he was almost to Main Engineering to check on his marines.
=/\=Thank you commander, I am almost there any way. Methos out.=/\=
He then got the call from Huebner asking for orders.
=/\=Good Job with the shields cadet. Do a site-to-site transport and get to Main engineering. There are 6 drones on their way there.=/\=
When Methos entered, he saw that there were four Marines and Cadet Huebner standing by the entrance, he motioned for them to gather around and told them of the Borg threat. About that time Commander Bates came over and told Methos that everyone in engineering was armed with phaser rifles.
"Thank you Commander, I hope that none of your people will need to use them. Question for you though, is there anything in the hallway that we could use as an explosive, in case the Borg adapt to the phasers? If not can you replicate some old Earth weapons that shoot protectiles, such as crossbows?" Methos asked.

S'reena cast the doctor a blank look; her mind was a jumble of thoughts and emotions and it was taking up most of her energy to sort it out. Slowly, she raised her right hand and just stared at it for several seconds. There were no more implants there and her hand was wrapped in a snow-white bandage. Her right sleeve was torn off and the rest of her arm was bandaged as well.
She rose from the biobed, supported by the doctor and one of her nurses and she took an unsteady step forward, towards Bit-Cloud's bed. "Cadet Bit-Cloud?" she asked, her voice as unsteady as she felt. She took another step forward, this time unassisted. "I'm going to the bridge," she finally acknowledged, "I...need help?"
The Romulan turned, casting a look of doubt at the doctor. "I am...no longer Borg, am I?" She saw the doctor shake her head. "Good, I hated it."
Assisted by one of the nurses, S'reena finally headed to the bridge. She smiled when she saw Drew standing in the middle of the bridge, snapping out orders left and right. It almost felt like old times, except she felt increasingly confused. Seeing the Borg cubes made her yearn for them, but the connection with the Collective was gone.
She spotted the Klingong officer, K'ratak and her hand went to her shoulder, where he'd stabbed her. Except, him doing so had ended up saving her, so she was partially grateful. "Are we going home?"
<cadets, get to bridge, get us home! Konal, K'ratak, assist!>

Konal and Clark worked together, getting ready for the neutrino burst. "Do you have the calculations yet?" They had worked side by side for most of the mission now, and interaction between the two had become second nature.
"I'll need you to feed them into the engineering console."
"How's the warp alignment?" she asked. It was crucial that the vectorization of the warp field was precisely what they had laid out, or the wrapping of the field with the graviton wave-particles would not occur. That would result in no shielding, and no chance at getting home.
"Maneuver the ship to the preset location." Konal ordered. "I don't care whether we are being attacked or not." she preemptively responded to objection, "if we do not do this now, we will all be dead anyway." Usually the Commander did not have such a morbid outlook. When she did, it implied that she meant business.
"Phase compensators are operating fully?" she asked Cadet Clark in an inflection that was similar to the way a mother would ask her son if his homework was completed.
"I suggest we start firing the neutrino field around the sensor array. Make sure the speed is able to be modulated. If phaser fire disrupts it, we will have to compensate.
The ship vibrated as the inertial dampers compensated for the unusual emission of neutrino particles. While the particles were massless, the generators that accelerated them into existence were two phaser banks that had been hastily modified. Konal had promised K'ratak it would work without disrupting the Hanson's firing power.
"Neutrino circulation at prescribed parameters," Konal noted. "Graviton field realigning." This looked like it was going to work.
The ship shook violently as the fields coalesced into a fourth dimensional lepton conglomerate, stretching for eight hundred meters. The Hanson was in the middle.
"Shielding complete. We are not completely invisible... they can still see our warp signature, but we should be safe from.."
*KABOOM*
The ship violently shook and the lights went out for a couple of seconds before emergency lights went on. "WE WERE SO CLOSE!" Konal cried. Just a few more minutes and they would have been back.
"What went wrong, Cadet?" Konal asked.
The numbers were right, she double checked them again.
"I can't find the Borg ship?!" The field must have destroyed it? It had damaged it when they first arrived. Perhaps this time it finished them off.
Your numbers are correct, Elal said, entering the bridge. "Stellar Cartography shows we are in the Alpha Quadrant."
Konal's shame of failure turned into glee of success. So much so, she hugged Elal, who uncomfortably stood like a statue, neither capitulating or denying the show of affection.
"Report," she said excitedly to Clark.

Watching Commander Manto and her cadet work on getting them home, He looked up to see Commander Hope enter the bridge. She looked the worse for war and glanced at him touching her shoulder. He didn't have time to say anything, the borg ship were gaining on them.
Looking back down at his read outs and deciding that it was all or nothing, he over charged phaser banks. He knew it would burn them out but what differnce did it make, if they didn't get home they were not going to last long anyway. Looking over at his cadets who had just got out sick bay." over charge the phaser banks and fire on the closes borg vessel maxium fire power. It wont matter if we burn out the phasers we wont last long if we dont get home"
The ship rock from the pounding they were taking. He watched his cadets use every trick they knew and invented a few to get more power to weapons. He glanced up to see that they were pulling it off Manto was coming throught on her end. He looked back down to see the phaser banks were burned out beyound repair. When he noticed the read outs showed no borg ships. They were back in there own space but they still had borg aboard, which was not good. He would have to wait for Mathos report on that, He looked over and smiled at Manot and her cadet. " Good job Commander looks like I"ll get to keep my dinner date after all"
Looking over at the tired looking Commander Hope " Commander Weapons systems are off line shields down to 8% , All phasers banks are burned out will need total replacement, Photon torpedoes are empty. We still have 6 borg drones aboard Colonel methos is handling it. Suggest we contact the nearst ship for assistance"

S'reena nodded towards K'ratak then took a tentative step towards Drew, her expression one of hurt and fear, but also of anger. Anger at the Borg, for nearly destroying the one place she really called home. "We're back home," she whispered, then repeated the phrase in a louder tone of voice, allowing it to carry it across the silent bridge.
She took her seat beside Drew and rested her hand on his arm. "I'm sorry," she whispered, referring to the fact that she'd nearly assimilated a cadet, and that she had managed to get herself and another cadet assimilated. The Romulan woman didn't feel like herself, in fact she didn't feel well at all. She felt alone, abandoned and cut off, after having experienced the collective mind of the Borg. But she knew she had family on the Hanson, and hopefully friends to fall back on. She hoped Paul Drew would be able to help her regain her confidence.
"Paul," she whispered, digging her fingers into his skin, "I'm scared." She watched him just look at her, finally cracking a smile at her.
"We all are S'reena," he answered gently, "now let's get home. Give the order to go home and get us a tow if we can't get there."
She nodded, then beckoned for Helm's attention. "Set course for Conqueror." She turned around to face Redos and his cadets. "Signal any and all starfleet vessels in this vicinity, we may need a tow home. We're easy prey for any enemy out there at the moment without shields."
She tapped her combadge, knowing that Bit was now released back into Bates' care. "Engineering, put repair priority on shields and weapons."

Annabelle’s fingers flew across the control panel, manipulating the weapons controls. It was no good though, she was getting frustrated. Her brain was working over time and her fingers couldn’t keep up. That would not normally of annoyed her but the console was working even slower than her fingers. K’ratak barked orders
"Over charge the Phaser banks and fire on the closest Borg vessel maximum fire power. It won’t matter if we burn out the Phasers we won’t last long if we don’t get home"
Annabelle did as instructed, raking her brain for anything that would give them the upper hand and a chance to escape. Then, before her eyes, the Borg ships disappeared from the read outs. What was going on? She thought looking at the position data. What she saw filled her with relief. They were back in the Alpha Quadrant.
A sudden light headedness came over her and she had to reach for the station to keep from falling over. She felt her head from where she’d hit it when the trouble began. ‘Ouch that hurt’ she thought to herself ‘lets not do that again’. The fall must have done more damage than she’d originally thought. She had probably been running purely on the adrenalin of the situation.
She saw k’ratak looking at her with a slightly worried look on his face. She knew she owed him a debt of gratitude. He’d saved her from being assimilated. But she didn’t want to appear weak in front of him. “Orders sir?” she said crisply, hoping he hadn’t noticed her sudden light-headedness.

"Signal any and all Starfleet vessels in this vicinity, we may need a tow home. We're easy prey for any enemy out there at the moment without shields."
“Yes, Ma’am.” Egan replied as he turned to follow her orders. The computer still seemed to be functioning more slowly than usual but considering everything that had happened that had been a far less pressing concern. After initiating a general distress signal, the Bajoran began to scan the general area, which took a few moments thanks to the computer. It turned out the Hanson had reappeared somewhere between the New Haven colony and Starbase Conqueror and the Hepta and a small transport were within sensor range.
The communications systems appeared to be malfunctioning, so Redos had to get a little creative to send a message to the Hepta requesting assistance, but eventually contact was initiated. “Admiral, the Hepta is underway and should be here in a little more than three hours. They have been informed of our condition and are prepared to render aid.” the Commander reported, grateful to finally have some good news to deliver rather than warnings.
The two operations Cadets were assisting with repairs elsewhere, which left Egan with very little to do at the moment except fill power transfer requests and await word of the Hepta’s arrival. The moment of quiet gave the Bajoran officer time to reflect. This had been his first mission on the Hanson, as well as his first mission in Section 47 and with the Academy, and they’d nearly all been assimilated. Not exactly a standard mission to begin with, whether first, twentieth, or last. ‘Something tells me this ship is never going to be dull…’ the operations officer thought to himself as he glanced around the bridge at his fellow officers.
