Kiral sat silently and listened to the briefing. An escort mission. Well, that shouldn't be too difficult. A small part of her was disappointed. She had been expecting combat of some sort. Ah, well, it wouldn't be right to send a training vessel into a combat zone. As a cadet, she would be stuck with the easy stuff.
Everyone left after the briefing, but Kiral opted to stay behind with her instructor, who was still eating. She was starting to wonder if Commander McCormick would ever be done when she finally spoke.
Yes, Kiral thought eagerly. Let the mission begin...
She started to say something, but never got the chance. The commander had vanished. Joan McCormick's combadge was laying on the chair, and the french fries were sitting on the table.
Kiral's hand flew up to her own combadge. =^= Cadet Kiral Mallen to security! Commander McCormick just vanished!=^=

Yahnie listen to Commander Rezula has she spoke to him. The next moment she had disappeared in thin air. Yahinie hit his comm. Badge “Cadet Youngblood to all security teams, “Commander Rezula has disappeared like she has been transported to someplace aboard the ship” “Start a ship wide search and be sure you search everywhere even crew quarters”. “Attention all cadets be on alert of anything suspicious in your areas.” < All Cadets>

The hatch leading to the bridge whooshed! open and TJ walked through.
"Final reports..." he called. In response, several yeomen stepped up to him and he began signing the departmental reports that had to be completed prior to the Hepta leaving spacedock. Once those signatures were done, and all department heads had checked in to the Operations Console on the bridge indicating readiness to set sail, they would be off, and deliver this ... verago!... [no other word occurred to him] to her mother at Alcor.
At last the final yeoman handed him the PADD to sign, then suddenly screamed as she placed the documents down onto – thin air! The captain had vanished!
There on the floor where he had been standing was his comm badge... all that was left.

Feeling a bit childish, Alria trailed after her instructor as she left Ten Forward to return to the bridge. "This should be an easy mission," “Yes, it will be nice to learn my station a bit on a simple mission before-” Alria stopped suddenly when she realized that she was alone on the turbolift. “Commander? Computer, what is the location of Commander Nikmud?” “Commander Nikmud is on Turbolift Four.” But that couldn’t be, she wasn’t- Alria looked down and saw the Commander’s combadge lying on the floor. As she leaned down to pick it up, the doors opened and she heard a piercing scream coming from the bridge. “What happened?” she asked breathlessly as she ran to the group of yeomen standing with mouths gaping near the captain’s chair. But then she saw the combadge on the ground and didn’t wait for a reply. “Cadet Alria to security. Reporting the disappearance of the Captain and First Officer from the bridge and Turbolift Four, respectively. Commander…” She racked her brain furiously to come up with a name. “Commander Rezula, do you know what is going on here?” Just as she finished her inquiry, she heard the prayer-leading cadet’s announcement. She glanced around, confused, at the remaining crew members on the bridge. Unfortunately, she was left with only eight yeomen and a technician, all looking as bewildered as she felt. What was she supposed to do now? Tapping her combadge again, she tried to keep her voice steady. “Alria to security. Could you please relay to me any information you have as to the status of the crew?” <Tag Yahnie, all>

From her quarters, Polly followed the reactions of the cadets. "So their crew is missing," she smirked to herself as she fingered the can of pepperspray she usually carried on her person for safety reasons. As a diplomat's daughter it was generally understood that she needed to carry something in the event of someone wanting to harm her. Bodyguards often lacked certain qualities when dealing with young women. She looked down at it and grinned, suddenly getting an idea.
As nobody would be suspecting her, a simple cocky teenager, nobody would be tracing her. Even so, Polly made sure she couldn't be tracked as she made her way to the location where she'd beamed TJ to. She smiled sweetly at the obviously furious young captain, for young he was with his 23 standard years of age. "I'm very sorry for doing this to you," she said sweetly as she approached him, "but I told you you'd be sorry didn't I? Too bad Thomas, you're really kinda cute you know."
She needed him to strike out at him, and it didn't take long before he finally did after continued taunts and insults issued at his address. Polly nursed her bruised jaw and bloodied lip and smiled again. "Thank you Thomas, that's just what I needed," she said, then promptly tore the sleeve of her dress, tousled her hair and further damaged her dress to appear as though she'd been assaulted. Then she lifted the can of pepperspray and aimed the nozzle at him. "As I said I'm very sorry for doing this," she repeated as she pressed down on the top, releasing a fair amount of spray into TJ's face.
She watched him collapse to his knees and kneeled beside him, lifting his now tear-streaked face up to her and kissed him fiercely. "Goodbye," she told him as she got up and left.
(edwards)
By the time Polly reached the bridge, she had managed to work herself up such that she appeared to be disdraught and in a state of shock. "He assaulted me!" she cried, tears streaming down her cheeks, as she approached Youngblood, clutching at his arm in terror. "Captain Edwards," she sniffed, "he assaulted me, then disappeared when I defended myself. Look what he did to me." She gestured to her bruised jaw and torn dress. "He forced himself upon me, but I managed to get away."

Yahnie has been getting calls from all over the ship that all the senior staff has been disappearing. Yahnie thought to himself that all the missing Officers had to be still on board because they haven’t got beamed off the ship they were enroute to the Star Alcor. Yahnie had thought to himself that to check the transporter logs, that it should tell him where they went to, but when he checked he only found a dead end. Whoever did this have to be an expert because they covered their track very well? Cadet Youngblood went up to the bridge, all the cadets were there looking for some sort of direction and confused. Yahnie went to the security console and went to send a sub space message to the Starbase. To Cadet Youngblood’s amazement, the diplomat Polly O’Shaserra came on the bridge. "He assaulted me!" she cried, tears streaming down her cheeks, as she approached Youngblood, clutching at his arm in terror. "Captain Edwards," she sniffed, "he assaulted me, and then disappeared when I defended myself. Look what he did to me." She gestured to her bruised jaw and torn dress. "He forced himself upon me, but I managed to get away. Cadet Youngblood shrugged off the crying teenager and replied, if you haven’t notice all of the senior staff as disappeared, I have taken command of this ship and my first duty is obvious. Until I get to the bottom of this I am placing you in protective custody, therefore I am assigning to you more security officers for your protection.
To the Chief of Starbase Security: Douglas MacHeath shortly after the mission briefing one by one the senior staff had disappeared. I had the security teams checked the entire ship. During the briefing the Captain and diplomat Polly O'Shaserra had words; I believe that she could be involved in the disappearance of the senior staff. She was under armed guard according to the Captain orders. I believe that the senior staff is still on board because we are enroute to the Star Alcor. The Ops Cadet has not taken steps to assume command therefore I will assume command, and hopefully find the missing senior staff. I also checked the transporter for any clue of their disappearance but I believe who ever done this has covered their tracks very well. The diplomat Polly O'Shaserra came on the bridge crying saying that the Captain has assaulted her, she had a bruise jaw and torn dress. With the disappearance of the senior staff I have ordered more security officers for her safety. End of message.

As moments passed with no response from the security cadet, Alria rolled her eyes and stepped to the ops station. There were reports coming in from all over the ship; cadets and petty officers unable to trace their vanished superiors. She gestured to a nearby yeoman and spoke to her quietly. “Since we seem to find ourselves rather short-staffed all of the sudden, would you please go through these reports, instruct all cadets to converge on the bridge, and inform me of anything…” Alria trailed off as she saw the security cadet strut onto the bridge. He seemed to survey the personnel indifferently, then took steps to the security station.
“Inform you of anything vital? Aye, sir.” The yeoman turned to the console, leaving Alria to wonder what had happened ‘working together’ part of the Academy. She only had a moment to ponder, however, before the diplomat’s daughter (what was her name? Molly? Patty? Sarah?) burst out of the turbolift and practically fell on Cadet Youngblood.
Alria watched the pair’s exchange from afar; her eyebrows raised slightly as she heard Youngblood state his command of the ship and slightly more as she saw him essentially blow the teenager off. The other cadet continued to the security console, where he stood for several minutes.
As Alria approached the fuming young woman, she addressed the security cadet. “Cadet Youngblood?” She cleared her throat, attempting to sound as confident as she knew she needed to. “I’d like to speak with you in private in just a moment.”
“Um, miss? I’m Cadet Alria.” She found her voice growing stronger and felt more confident than she had since departing for the Starbase months ago. If there was one thing her mother had taught her, it was how to handle diplomats and the like. Although she had to admit, despite her age, this one seemed a little bit more feisty than a normal diplomat. She moved to put her arm around the young woman’s shoulders. “Let’s first get you down to sickbay, shall we? Get those bruises taken care of and some new clothes. I promise you, we’ll get this whole thing sorted out in due time and process.”

Alex didn't like being locked in, and sighed. She looked around hoping to get out somehow, but she wasn't sure how. Things were starting to look hopeless.
She was about to see if there was some way to pry the doors open, and looked around to see what she could use. There wasn’t much in this area, and she wondered what it was used for. Alex hated this, and wondered who would do such a thing. She wondered who she had offended to end up in a prison like this.
Alex suddenly had an idea, and pulled out both her tricorder and phaser, she put the phaser where the door would part, and started to bang on it with her tricorder hoping it would open up. If only I had my phaser working or my tricorder even, then I could blast my way out. Like this they are useless. Will this even work? Alex thought wishing she knew. She figured it was better than not trying though.
Suddenly she hit her hand instead of the phaser and cursed under her breath. She sighed and decided to take a break from that. Alex put both the phaser and tricorder down on the deck near the door.
Alex sat down on the other side of the small room, and wondered what she could do for her throbbing hand. Out of nowhere, she felt the gravity go away in the room, and everything began to float. Great, what next? Oh no, I hated Zero-G training, and I didn’t fair so well. I hope my stomach won’t do anything I will regret later. Now I wish I hadn’t eaten breakfast. Alex thought as she started to float along with a few other objects. She felt her head hit the ceiling, and she muttered a few more curses.

Polly's eyes widened as she heard Youngblood order for more security to follow her around. "I don't need more security!" she shrieked in hysterics, "I want Edwards found and locked in the brig, on the charge of attempted rape!" She knew she was putting up a convincing act.
Then a female cadet placed her arm around her shoulders and guided her back to the turbolift, murmuring something about a medical check up and fresh clothes. Polly took to quietly crying against the young woman's shoulder, knowing that everything would be done to hunt Edwards down.
"I don't want more guards," she sniffed, "the two outside my quarters should keep me safe. I suppose trying to visit the captain and attempt to make amends over our fight in Ten Forward was a foolish endeavour."
(Alria)
**Later**
Polly sneered down on TJ as the man was beamed into her quarters from his hidden location, securely bound and gagged. She had made sure his biosignature was carefully masked and would not be traced by any form of sensor.
She jabbed the hypospray against his arm. "Biomask," she said, "now I can move you anywhere without you ever being found." "And this will make certain you won't leave these quarters without my consent. And just to make certain you know what it feels like to disobey here's a little demonstration."
Polly produced a little remote control and keyed in a short sequence, causing TJ to visibly wince, his face contorted in agony. "I can make it much worse of course, this was just a light setting. However, since I still have need of you, I won't demonstrate that."
The teenager sat down on his lap. "You're mine captain. You were always destined to be mine, didn't my father tell you that years ago? And didn't he cry insult on you when you blatantly refused him? Now is payback time my dear."
The teenager loaded up another hypospray. "And now this will make certain you won't be crying out for help. You can speak, but just not raise your voice, and it'll also block any attempt at telepathic communication, sending and reception." After injecting the fluid, Polly removed his gag. "How do you feel now? Helpless? You must know, your crew will be hunting for you. Not to save you, but to bring you to justice."

...She needed him to strike out at him, and it didn't take long before he finally did after continued taunts and insults issued at his address. TJ could stand it no longer. It was not in his nature to strike a woman, but this ... brat... was begging for it. Finally, losing control, he struck out at Polly....Polly nursed her bruised jaw and bloodied lip and smiled again.
She watched him collapse to his knees and knelt beside him, lifting his now tear-streaked face up to her and kissed him fiercely. "Goodbye," she told him as she got up and left. As the spray's effect lessened, TJ began to recriminate himself. Even if Polly had deserved it, it was not appropriate, professional behavior. Mentally, he could hear Katie's voice castigating him for striking the girl.
"An' just what was it that mother an' father taught us, Tommy?" she reproved him in his mind. "An' since ye were ten, what is it that I've been teachin' ye?" TJ could see the angered look on his elder sister's face...
"Is it nothin' you've learned?!" she cried.Polly O’Shaserra’s quarters ...Polly ... jabbed the hypospray against his arm. “Biomask,” she said, “now I can move you anywhere without you ever being found....And this will make certain you won't leave these quarters without my consent. And just to make certain you know what it feels like to disobey here's a little demonstration.”
Polly produced a little remote control and keyed in a short sequence... Things were happening so quickly! Moments ago, he had been nursing his eyes from the pepper-spray attack where he had been confined in the small, dark area, and now he found himself bound hand and foot in Polly’s quarters. Not a happy situation!
He struggled angrily in his bonds, but found them to be more than adequate to hold him fast. She had planned this well!
His eyes widened slightly in anticipation when Polly produced the remote control and mentioned a punishment for disobedience. Pressing the sequence into the control resulted in intense pain – pain that shot throughout his body, not localized in any one place. ...“I can make it much worse of course, this was just a light setting. However, since I still have need of you, I won't demonstrate that.” That was a relief! Well, to avoid the torment of this devilish girl, he would comply, but only within reason. And the first chance he got – !... “You're mine captain. You were always destined to be mine, didn't my father tell you that years ago? And didn't he cry insult on you when you blatantly refused him? Now is payback time my dear.” This was too much! TJ shook his head furiously. There was no way he would link with this... this – descriptive epitaphs, too weak for the rage rising in him, failed. Nothing he could call to mind was sufficient to describe her. She was as despicable as she was... beautiful!
Yet his heart belonged to another, and she would not have it – not in this millennium! ...“And now this will make certain you won't be crying out for help. You can speak, but just not raise your voice ...” After injecting the fluid, Polly removed his gag. “How do you feel now? Helpless? You must know, your crew will be hunting for you. Not to save you, but to bring you to justice.” Before, the gag had effectively muffled TJ’s cries of frustration, but he determined he would not satisfy her.
“An’ just what might ye be meanin’ ‘bringin’ me t’ justice’?” he said in a voice medically quieted to little more than a whisper.
When Polly told him of the charges she had leveled against him, he was both shocked and further infuriated, but could do nothing... but sit there and smile.
Secretly, he hoped security would successfully find him to bring him to trial. The computer would verify that he had not done anything unjust, leaving Polly O’Shaserra to answer some very embarrassing questions.

"I know what you're thinking Thomas," Polly interrupted his train of thoughts, "and who would they believe? A teenager in genuine hysterics, showing all the signs of assault, or a Starfleet captain? Even medical examination gave assault as result, linking the bruise on my face to your DNA."
The girl walked over to her replicator. "Murphy's Irish Red," she ordered, "medium size." With the tall glass she returned to her captive and held the cool brew to his lips. "I am not heartless Thomas," she whispered sensually, "you will not starve in my care, nor will you have any further sufferings. Unless of course you try to escape."
(TJ)
"I will be back later and then we'll dine together." The glare she shot him informed TJ that she wouldn't tolerate any backtalk and would only accept co-operation. "I want to know when we'll be arriving at my mother's home planet, so that we can engage in the next step of my plan."
She gave him another kiss, replaced the gag and left her quarters. The two guards assigned to her dutifully followed her and she smiled at them. "Any sign of the captain yet?" she asked, modulating her tone to sound extremely worried.
The three of them crossed various corridors as the guards took her on a tour of the ship on her own request, and at some point they actually came across the lizard instructor, Rezula. The guards gasped as they freed the instructor from her narrow prison.
Polly approached, somewhat palefaced as she extended her hand towards Rezula to help her from her unfortunate position. "Are you all right?" she querried, looking terrified. "Is the captain with you?" She tapped her combadge. "Security this is O'Shaserra. We've just found Commander Rezula while on a tour of the ship. What is going on!"

Personal Log Cadet Yahnie Youngblood:
This has been the toughest decision I had to make. I had to take command of the USS Hepta. The senior staff has disappeared and the other cadets have had the look of confusion and without direction being not sure of what to do and because of not wanting to make a mistake. The diplomat Polly O’Shaserra has been on board since our departure. At the briefing while listening to the captain was speaking and I had suggested that while the diplomat Polly O’Shaserra was on board she should have an armed escort while being here for her own safety and protection and she should not have the freedom to roam vital areas of the ship. During the briefing she had words to the captain. After the disappearance the diplomat came up to the bridge with her escort. Since she has been in her quarters with armed escort she came up to the bridge and claimed that the captain had assaulted her. She was trying to get me to show her more attention but I was so involved in finding our senior staff. I shrugged her off not paying attention to her advances. Instead I had ordered more security and placed her in protective custody for her safety. I was not able to escort to sickbay for her injuries. After all that has happened I had to think about the events that took place and I believe that the diplomat Polly O’Shaserra is involved in the disappearance of the senior staff, but proving it would be difficult because whoever had done this has coved their tracks very well. I believe my next course of action is to question the diplomat Polly O’Shaserra to find out what she knows about the disappearance of the senior staff. I hope my beliefs and concerns for the safety of this vessel and her crews don’t lead me down to a court martial offense. I just hope I can gain the other cadets respect and help in finding the senior staff.

Had he been able to raise his voice, he would have. As it is, he was reduced to a soft volume at best.
"'Tis not takin' any drink from th' likes o' ye I'll be doin'!" he said angrily, glowering at her. With a face of fury that would have done Pele, Hawaii's volcanic goddess, proud, hatred shooting from his eyes, he stared harshly into the face of his captor.

Cadet Youngblood was just finishing up his message to the starbase when his comm. badge came to life. Security this is O'Shaserra. We've just found Commander Rezula while on a tour of the ship. What is going on?" Cadet Youngblood responded, “Take her to sickbay and I’ll meet you there.” After Cadet Youngblood heard the teenager voice at first got his skin crawling but then his heart was racing because his commander was alright. Cadet Youngblood left the bridge and entered the turbo lift. As he got on the turbo lift the cadet said to the computer “sickbay.” Cadet Youngblood arrived moments later in sickbay. His commander was being examined by the Doctor. She was laying down on the Bio Bed. The Cadet was a bit nervous and went to her side and when he approached her Commander Rezula sat up on the side of the bed. Commander, “Cadet Youngblood said to her as soon as your able to I very much would like to relinquish command to you and we need to talk as soon as possible, much has happened since you disappeared and I need to bring you up to date as soon as you are able to be cleared from sickbay.”

Polly hovered close, the expression on her face genuinely anxious. What had happened to Rezula had never been her plan, the instructors weren't meant to get injured. "Will she be all right?" she asked for about the fourth time now, pulling at Youngblood's sleeve to get his attention.
When Rezula finally sat up, Polly couldn't help but think how frightening the reptillian woman looked. Involuntary, she took a small step back, hiding behind the young cadet. Her guards never left her side, taking their job very seriously.
"I-I have to go back to my quarters," she finally stammered, "for my own safety as you suggeste." She darted out of sickbay, straight back to her quarters where the guards took up their guard outside her door again. They were not invading on her personal privacy, which was very fortunate.
Once back in her quarters, Polly let herself fall down on the couch, glancing up at TJ. "We've found your CTSO," she told him, "she was found stuck in some conduit. While on a tour of the ship, we located her by accident. The rest of your crew is still missing, though I have no doubt they'll be found soon. The reptile woman is all right, although she seems somewhat shaken."
She got up with a sigh and removed his gag, but not before giving him another series of shots. She lifted his face up to her and smiled softly. "Are you hungry yet? It won't do going into a hunger strike, you'll only weaken yourself. You don't want me to force feed you, do you? You know I'll gladly do it, feed you that is. A shame you didn't like the beer I got you earlier. It was a special blend of Irish Red my father invented years ago, he did it especially for you you know. You should feel honoured that I have it on file still, that I kept it safe for you."
Her eyes were now flashing with anger and without a thought, she backhanded him across his face. "Ungrateful brat," she spat at him, "but you'll see my way soon enough my dear. You'll see."

The diplomat Polly O’Shaserra was trying to get my attention tugging on my sleeve trying to find out the condition of the commander, He truned to her and replied.“I know your concerned of the commander, we need to let the doctors do their job and once they tell me her condition I will let you know.” As the commander sat up on her bio bed I told her to come and see me when sickbay has released you we do have a lot to talk about.” “I’ll be in the security office when you feel up to talking.” Cadet Youngblood left sickbay and headed to the security office. About ½ hour later Commander Rezula entered the security office.
(Commander Rezula)
Commander Rezula, “I am relinquishing command back to you.” Shortly after the briefing one by one the senior staff has disappeared. After you had disappeared I went to the bridge because I have been getting calls from all over the ship. I called all security teams to do an extensive search of the ship and we found nothing. I had checked the transporter logs and found nothing. Whoever did this covered their tracks very well.” As soon as I got to the bridge I immediately took command. “To my surprise the diplomat Polly O’Shaserra came to the bridge. She had told me that the Captain had raped her. She had a bruised jaw and a torn dress. I took steps and had given the order for more security guards to protect her and to see for her safety.” I did respond to her crying by telling her that if the Captain did do this to her that he couldn’t have because he disappeared like everyone else.” She was escorted off the bridge and taken to sickbay, later she was released from sickbay. “If you recall the Captain and the teenager had words during the briefing this is why I ordered more security. I was going to question her but she has diplomat clearance from me for the questioning her.” “I sent a sub space meesage to the starbase to Chief of Starbase Security: Douglas MacHeath to let him know what was going on. Toward the end of that message I got a call from the diplomat Polly O’Shaserra that she found you in the corridors disoriented. I order the security guards to take you to sick bay.
(Commander Rezula )
He turned to the diplomat Polly O’Shaserra and told her that he was heading to the security office to fill out the reports. When he arrived at the security office he turned and told the diplomat Polly O’Shaserra that if he finds out anything he will let her know. (diplomat Polly O’Shaserra)
The cadet proceeded inside the security office and sat down in the chair and started his paperwork.

... [Polly's] eyes were now flashing with anger and without a thought, she backhanded him across his face. "Ungrateful brat," she spat at him, "but you'll see my way soon enough my dear. You'll see." Taken by surprise by her blow, TJ lost his balance, falling to his side. Eyes blazing in fury, he uttered just one word...
"Never!"

Polly grabbed TJ by the front of his shirt and hoisted him back onto the seat. "Don't be angry," she purred as she caressed his cheek, "I'm certain you'll see my way." She held up the little remote. "If needed I'll use this to make you see my dear. Now, what would you like for supper? Would Saurkraut do? With sausage of course and potatoes."
The teenager disappered into the kitchen and an hour later came back with two steaming plates which she deposited on the table. "I am going to untie your hands now," she said, "please note that you've got nowhere to go and you'll be dead before you reach the door. Can't have that happening can we?"
She pointed towards the plate as she guided him to his seat, then untied his hands. "Please enjoy. It'll be a few hours still before we can get some sleep. And you'll not have to worry about sleeping on the couch, I'll gladly share my bed with you. And I promise you won't be touched while you're asleep." She smiled shyly as her cheeks blushed lightly at the very thought of sharing a bed with a man.

Kiral Mallen waited on the bridge, feeling useless. She tapped her foot anxiously as she stood at the science station. She wasn't training in security, she wasn't a doctor, which left nothing for her to really help out with. If only her instructor was there with her she would have been given something to do, but there had been no word from Commander McCormick.
There was a reason why cadets didn't normally have ships to themselves.
Kiral hated being idle. She was a Trill of action. All of her life she had spent doing whatever she could to take up time. At the Academy she had been busy to her heart's content. And here, on a Starfleet ship, during a crisis, she had nothing to do but wait.
Her spirits lifted when the report that Commander Rezula had been found in a conduit came in. Her first hope was that the others would follow and things would get back to normal. She was wrong. Sighing, she tapped her combadge.
=^= Cadet Mallen to security. Has there been any word from any senior officer other than Commander Rezula? =^=

Alria was frustrated with the lack of direction on the ship. Even with the senior officers gone, the rest should be banding together to form some sort of rescue mission, or at least have a meeting or two to compile all available information. Instead, she had been left to deal with things by herself; she was sure everyone was doing things that they deemed important, but she was also sure that things would be working out much more smoothly had they all banded together. Unfortunately, she was still a little unsure of herself and her situation to feel okay taking the step to actually assume leadership of the remaining crew- she was just a lowly cadet, after all. Surely there were more qualified people left? Everything was just happening so fast; she wasn’t sure she could keep up.
She had escorted Polly (she was pretty sure that was the name) to sickbay, giving the girl a shoulder to cry on and an ear to listen. Alria couldn’t help but feel a bit of churning in her stomach as she heard Polly describe the captain’s actions; it certainly didn’t sound like a Starfleet officer, but she knew how being in a position of power could corrupt some people, especially men. And the impression she had gotten of Captain Edwards during the briefing had not been the most favorable; he seemed like one who had gotten by on charm (and his accent) for a long time. But Alria knew she should try not to judge, especially not before she had spoken to the Captain herself.
Leaving Polly in the capable hands of the remaining medical crew and EMH, Alria returned to the bridge. She found that Youngblood had left the bridge, but had no desire to try to locate him and begin what was likely to turn into a power struggle. Until they all banded together, let him do whatever he felt was necessary. She’d do the same.
She did notice the science cadet standing by her station, looking anxious, and approached her, smiling. “I was wondering where all the other cadets had disappeared to.”

Rezula hadn't realized what had happened to get her kidnapped, and she wasn't sure how they had rescued her, but she was glad she wad back with the cadets. She protested all the way to sickbay, and then found she was announced of good health.
"See, I don't need to be here. Miss, you don't have to fear me, I wouldn't harm anyone unless they were harming the crew. So don't fear me," Rez said to the teenager, then noticed her cadet came in. He said his little peace, and she was about to say something when he left as quickly as he came.
Rez went to her quarters after she was done in sickbay. She took a shower and changed clothes before eating. Half an hour she went to her office to see Cadet Youngblood at her desk.
"I see you seem to be comfortable. For future reference, no one sits behind my desk before asking me," she said not liking this one bit. He said something, and she realized there was no one around to run this ship but her right then.
"Well, then, you are acting Security chief until we find Commander Nikmud or the Captain. I will be in command til then. So I guess you need my desk, just don't leave any crumbs in the chair," she said and chuckled.
"As for the captain assulting the teen, it is possible. Are you certain the captain disappeared before she was attacked? What proof do you have? Don't accuse or send messages without making sure you have positive proof he assulted her before he vanished. For all we know she could have been knocked out if he assulted her, or he could have hurt her so bad that she could have escaped back to her quarters or to safety and her injuries were severe enough that she became unconscious and could only report what he had done after he disappeared. There are tons of possiblities that need to be looked into. As for Polly, you have no reason to question her. Find the captain, then arrest him, and that's final," Rez said using some authority in her tone.
Polly entered, and she sighed. "Miss, I am sorry for any trouble that my cadet has caused. I am in command of this ship for now, and we will be looking for the captain to arrest him for his crimes. I don't like that an officer like him would do such a thing. Can you explain to me what happened when you were assulted? I need to know so I can make a report now for Starfleet. When we find the captain he will be put on trial for this, and your record signed and dated would help justice come out," Rezula said.
"Lets do this in the captain's ready room, this is Cadet Youngblood's office for now, and I don't think he should be doing anything other than finding the crew and arresting the captain. If you will come with me," Rezula said and lead the way to the bridge. She was about to show Polly to the ready room when she noticed an idle cadet.
"Go ahead and go inside. I will be along in a minute, something I need to tend to," she said and moved off toward the science station. She heard what was said.
"No cadet, only I was found. Joan mentioned that she had a few analysis that were incomplete before the breifing, why don't you analyze them and report on what you find. Also, I think our desitination was important because of the ore deposits. Star Fleet wants to make sure they are real and not just some myth conconted so this planet can become part of the Federation. I need you to gear up to see if this myth is at all real. I also need you to make sure the science station is working. You were trained in science back at the academy in San Fransisco, or so I was told, so you should know more about what is needed for this than I. I am nothing but security, and now the Commanding Officer of this ship," Rez said.
(Mallen)
"Very well, take all the time you need, and don't hesitate to contact any Science officers. I know Lt. Commander Joshua Jenkins is around somewhere. Contact him if you need help. Right now I highly doubt that he knows anything is amiss," Rez said.
(Mallen)
Rez listened and responded before heading over to the ready room. She entered to find Polly sitting down comfy on the couch like she owned the place. Rez didn't like this, but didn't say anything. She grabbed a padd and sat down in the captain's chair.
"Okay, so tell me, what exactly happened when you were assulted? Start with what you were doing before it happened, and don't leave any detail out."

... She held up the little remote. "If needed I'll use this to make you see my dear. Now, what would you like for supper? Would Sauerkraut do? With sausage of course and potatoes?" TJ did not answer, but for the first time looked at the remote with fear in his eyes, then quickly attempted to cover that fear with a glare of anger. A worried look covered TJ's face once more as he thought about the remote Polly held... and he was getting hungry. Well, perhaps a taste or two... but he mustn't make it look as if he enjoyed it. That was enough! If he could only get his hands on the remote while still untied. He determined he would try, if the opportunity presented itself.
"Th' bed?" he questioned with sarcasm. "No, thank ye... th' couch will be doin' just fine!"

Before going back to quarters Polly stared up at Rezula as her eyes filled with tears again. She averted her gaze and stared at the floor in embarassment. "I was going to his quarters to apologize," she whispered, her voice barely audible.
She sat in the office, her hands folded in her lap, looking more like a child than her fierce usual self. "He came at me, at first giving me a hug, telling me it was all right and forgiven. He wanted to give me a kiss on the cheek, which was all right with me but then..." She started to relate how he suddenly wanted more of her, and had torn her dress when she struggled. She told Rezula that the medics had indeed found his DNA on her.
"I was fortunate I had a cannister of pepperspray on me," Polly sobbed, burying her face into her hands, "I used it on him to get him away from me and then I ran. Before I had reached the door though, I heard a transporter being activated and when I turned to look, captain Edwards was gone."
(Rezula)
Back in Polly's quarters
Polly merely smiled at him as she sat herself opposite of him at the table. "And what would I tie you to?" she asked sweetly as she spooned up some of her stew. She chewed carefully as the food was hot and very sour. "Oh no my dear, you're sleeping on the bed. It'll be as I tell you to, and you have my promise I won't touch you while you sleep. And I always keep my promises. I'm sure you remember that."
She pointed at his plate with his fork. "Aren't you at least going to try it? I really worked hard on getting this right, especially for you. I'll be very disappointed if you don't finish it."
After dinner, she guided him to the couch, knowing he wouldn't be going anywhere, not in the drugged state he was in. "I've got something for you," she said as she walked over to the bookshelf, producing an old hardcover bound book. "The original works by William Shakespeare, in the original english writing." She held the book out to him. "I thought you might like that."
For a moment, Polly thought the fearful and hateful expression in his eyes made way for pure joy. She smiled again. "Please read from it," she suggested, "I'd like to hear some MacBeth. Please?"
(TJ)
A few hours later, Polly guided TJ into the bathroom, shoved a clean sleeping wear and a towel in his hands and then told him to take a shower. "I'll wait outside. Don't try anything my dear, I'll always be faster than you."
He knew better than to disobey. Minutes later he reappeared and she nudged him towards her bed. "Lie down," she told him, producing a pair of handcuffs. One end she tied around the top of her bed, while the other went around his left wrist. She pulled an extra pair of blankets from a cupboard and draped them over him, then kissed him on his forehead. "Sleep well my dear," she said, as she stepped in on the other side, under the first pair of blankets. She would keep her word, but she would make sure he had no means of escape.

As the teenager left the captain’s ready room, the cadet went over to the ready room. “Enter” The commander barked out.” Ma’am, If I can speak freely” It’s close to the end of the shift; you ought to take a little time to rest and collect your thoughts. To give you a bit of what happen the moment you had disappeared, I started to receive calls all over the ship. The first call I got was from the bridge. I was told that the captain had disappeared in front several Yeomen and a Cadet. They had told me all that was left was his comm. Badge. The same was happening to all the senior staff. I must admit though when she came to the bridge it took me by surprise and the only thought I had was to her safety. I did forget to escort her to sickbay because I was scared that things was going to happen to the ship too so I was so involved in the ship’s safety as well. I felt it necessary at the time to take command and I also felt that I should inform the starbase what was happening because I felt very uneasy taking command and that everyone was looking to me for guidance and I did what I felt was best for everyone concern. I had all security teams to search all areas even crew quarters. I also had checked the transpoter logs, but I found nothing and whoever did it was an expert in covering their tracks. Ma’am I apologize if I did anything wrong, if there are any charges brought towards me I will do the best I can for my defense and for the safety of this ship and her crew. If there isn’t anything else I will continue with the search.
(Commander Rezula)

After dinner, she ... produc[ed] an old hardcover bound book. “The original works by William Shakespeare, in the original english writing.” She held the book out to him. “I thought you might like that.”
For a moment, Polly thought the fearful and hateful expression in his eyes made way for pure joy. She smiled again. “Please read from it,” she suggested, “I'd like to hear some MacBeth. Please?” TJ took the codex from her hand, opened it and leafed through the pages. Very well, he would read, but he would not emote. He was a skilled performer, but would not grant the spawn of Sean O’Shaserra a performance this night!
He settled on one of the lines for the title character, and read... emotionless and without feeling.
We have scotch'd the snake, not kill'd it. She'll close and be herself, whilst our poor malice Remains in danger of her former tooth. But let the frame of things disjoint, both the worlds suffer, Ere we will eat our meal in fear and sleep In the affliction of these terrible dreams That shake us nightly. Better be with the dead, Whom we, to gain our peace, have sent to peace, Than on the torture of the mind to lie In restless ecstasy. Duncan is in his grave; After life's fitful fever he sleeps well. Treason has done his worst; nor steel, nor poison, Malice domestic, foreign levy, nothing, Can touch him further.
