"Thank you for your information mister Jamison, I will note in your records that you are very alert and helpful" Seth said to Will and nodded.
Before Seth was able to ask any further questions, another cadet came to his attention, if only by announcing himself in a loud voice. "Sir, Cadet 4th Class Tiberian Wong, Commander Bern, Sir"
"Good day to you cadet!" Seth replied smiling, "That is an introduction by the book, but might I add that I'm standing just a couple of feet away and I see no need in damaging my hearing just yet?" Seth winked and added, "what is it that you would like to tell me?"
"Sir, we are under the impression that an officer of some substantial rank has been interfering with the ships security systems" Tiberian said and handed over a report to Seth. "Said officer is apparently quite gifted in computer science, as he has been able to run rings around the most senior staff members and the main computer. I am currently examining crew records to ascertain whether anyone has such capabilities, within the appropriate rank bracket. Given we can also gauge that the pirate vessel is a stolen Defiant Class vessel, I am also examining theft records"
It was quite typical to land headfirst into trouble when being away for a short time, but some ideas started to form in Seth's mind.
Tiberian took a slight pause and continued with his report. "Cadet Jamison and I believe that following these lines of inquiry will aid us in locating the Captain. Any assistance or expertise that could be offered would be greatly appreciated, Sir"
"That's a nice story there from you as well mister Wong" Seth said and was clearly impressed. "Do you believe that this interfering officer is one of the Hepta's crew?
<<Tiberian>>
"I see." Seth said, "You said that he is quite gifted in computer science. Did it occur to you that the said officer found a way to avoid the rank-clearance in the system and therefore doesn't necessarily have to hold the rank of Lieutenant Commander or higher?"
<<Tiberian>>
"Ok." Seth replied and addressed both cadets now. "As far as I can tell it's just some vague impressions at the moment, but you might be on the right track. Can you try to find out from where the security systems have been tampered with? Unless there is solid evidence I am afraid that our hands are tied behind our backs. Please report back with any new findings. If you need any clearance just send for me. It seems that at the moment I am in command of the Hepta."
Seth felt a chill run across his spine. He was a bit baffled by this since it wasn't uncommon for him to be in command.
"Is there anything else?" Seth asked and listened patiently while he rubbed a dark spot that had just appeared on the back of his hand.
<<Will / Tiberian>>

"If that's the case," Jamison replied," then it could be anyone aboard this ship. May I suggest, sir, that we that we confine all nonessential personnel to their quarters and limit computer access to them for now. We can then go thru and eliminate anyone that we know for sure is not the perpetrator. This will at least save us some time when it comes to checking backgrounds. I think that's a start. What about you Tiberian?"

Sheeta listened to what they were saying. "If it is someone on board, could it be possible that subspace messages have been coming and going to this person? Maybe we should check those logs before we start any background checks. People can be careless," Sheeta said.
She was still checking a few things out about the theft records. Three popped up, and they caught her eye.
"Sir, I have three thefts on Defiant Class vessels. I think we should get the specs on all three, and come up with a plan to find and rescue our captain," Sheeta suggested not looking away from the console. She sent Alex the theft records, hoping that the woman would get to work on getting specs.
Alex went back to the console she was working at, when she noticed the theft records. "My my, someone's been busy."
Alex started to search for the ship's specs, but was having a hard time locating them. She sighed, then got up and went over to where she could talk to the doctor.
"Excuse me, does anyone know when I will get out of this sardine can and back to my job?" Alex said a bit upset that she had been in isolation so long.

Jamison turned to Sheeta as she finished her statement and asked, "But if someone can over ride the computer to bypass the inhibitors surely they could cover up any transmissions, right? But you are the instructor ma'am and if you say check 'em, then I check'em "
Will set off pulling up all transmissions to and from the ship since it left the starbase.
"I also feel that it would have to be someone new aboard. All the instructors have been here forever so that just leaves us cadets and anyone who was brought aboard for this mission." Will said "I have all transmission ready to display at your convenience ma'am."

"That's a nice story there from you as well mister Wong" Seth said and was clearly impressed. "Do you believe that this interfering officer is one of the Hepta's crew?" "Sir" Tiberian replied "I've run extensive internal sensor sweeps, matching every bio sign to a comm badge signal. No one is on board who shouldn't be" "I see." Seth said, "You said that he is quite gifted in computer science. Did it occur to you that the said officer found a way to avoid the rank-clearance in the system and therefore doesn't necessarily have to hold the rank of Lieutenant Commander or higher?" "Not wishing to be impertinent sir, but the officer would only actually need the rank of a full lieutenant, thus broadening our scale. However, as you put it sir, a gifted computer scientist could easily override the security lockouts" "Ok." Seth replied and addressed both cadets now. It seems that at the moment I am in command of the Hepta." "Yes Sir" replied Tiberian, turning on heel and returning to his investigations. He established a computer search algorithm, to search through all the present personnel, and filter out anyone with insufficient academy grades of IQ points to accomplish this task. He then voiced his agreement to Will's suggestion of confining all non essential personnel, adding that there computer access should also be disabled. With the search program running, he then moved on to locating the Defiant Class vessel. Whilst Sheeta and Will were talking, Tiberian drew up the list of the three missing ships. The USS RUTHERFORD, USS HERALD, and USS ARTFUL DODGER all came up on the screen along with the circumstances in which they had been stolen. Suddenly, one the tactical lectures he had attended in the academy came flooding back. Racing round to the command chair, where Acting Captain Bern was now sitting he said excitedly: "Sir, I have a hypothesis on how we might find the Captain" Seeing the intrigued look on Bern's face he continued "All these are the potential ships that the Captain is on, and each of them is undoubtedly cloaked or hidden. If we convince Starfleet Command to allow all stations and vessels across the Quadrant to transmit the prefix codes of all these vessels on all frequencies, we could order all ships to decloak and power down. Then it would be a simple matter of sending in recovery ships" Tiberian stood rigid as a board, waiting for Bern's response, and beaming in spite of himself.

Xia arched one slender eyebrow. “A Captain,” she breathed with open excitement playing on her features. She continued circling him, lost in thought... TJ attempted with all his might not to follow her motions. His face kept straight forward, but until she first vanished from his peripheral vision, his eyes followed this beautiful creature, and, torn between relief he could not then see her, yet intense desire to do so, he caught her in the corner of his eye at his other side as she slowly examined him, as a planet revolving around a star examines the luminary. As she came into sight again, he could feel his resolve weakening... weakening... weakening...... She faced him once again, moistened her dark, red lips seductively.... As she faced him and moistened her lips, an involuntary moan escaped from the Irishman. He knew he was about to fall. He could not resist this beauty much longer. His entire body began to tremble as she moved in for the kill....... With the feral behavior with which she was genetically imprinted, Xia leaned in to his chest, the top of her head just meeting up with his chin, and she breathed in his scent deeply. She emitted a low, rumbling cat-like purr and reached up her hand to stroke his neck but stopped short of touching him. The sweat now dripping profusely from his brow, Xia saw how the Starfleet Captain closed his eyes and gritted his teeth, trying with all his might to ignore her erotic titillation. TJ agonized, longing to respond to her, yet knowing he dare not. And yet, if she continued as she was, he would soon be naught but a trophy in her extensive collection. She drew back her hand. ... Xia motioned to the guard who snapped off the barrier allowing her to pass through. She strapped on her weapons, gave Edwards one last furtive glance and was gone. Relief mingled with sorrow at Xia's leaving flooded the Irishman. His knees were shaking, barely able to support his weight as he leaned against the bulkhead. Had she stayed an instant longer – had she touched him – ah, that deadly touch! It would have all been over!

"Well, people make mistakes. They could have accidently left a record for us to find. We never know, so we check all possiblities before we rule anything out. We don't want to make mistakes," Sheeta said, and waited for him to get those ready.
"Yes, it could be a cadet, or it could be the doctor. He is the only one who is aboard who wasn't here last mission. It could also be some civilian we have aboard. It could be anyone at this point, even someone from the pirate ship. We must be open to any possiblity," she said noticing he had the records ready. She viewed them and sighed finding nothing out of the ordinary.
"Okay, we have one of two possiblities since there is no record in here. One, the person is too good and made sure to leave no trace, which will be harder to find who ever is behind this. Two, it could be someone from the other ship, and while easier to trace, we won't know exactly who it is. Cadet, you and I will go through the ships records. We will view everything the ship saw the crew do. If there is anything unusual, we will see it. Lets start with when the invaders visited and left. If one of them wasn't near a console, then we rule out the second option, meaning it is of the crew," Sheeta explained as she moved out from behind the station to allow him to be there.
"Cadet, its time for you to take charge. Show me what you can do when in charge."
Josh was sitting next to Bern when Cadet Wong came up to them. He was reading something on a padd, and when he heard the cadet's suggestion, he raised his head giving the cadet attention.
"Its a good idea, one flaw though. Each ship doesn't know the prefix codes to those ships. We would have to convince Star Fleet command on why we need those codes transmitted, and I don't believe they would allow for that to happen. We could ask for the codes for those ships, and search for the ships ourselves by using those codes. Then maybe once we find them we can power them down. Does that sound good?" Josh said not sure if it would work.

Firestorm jumped quite literally when cadet Wong spoke up. His fur was standing on end in fright as he turned, his tail lashing angrily. "That was a very brave act cadet," he hissed, re-sheathing his claws, "I could've ripped you up before you could've uttered so much as a scream."
The Sivaoan gave the cadet a clean bill of health as he was sufficiently protected since having gone through the disease as a child. Next thing he knew a box materialized in sickbay, marked as medical supplies. However when he moved to open the box, he gaped at the contents. Instead of supplies, a male corpse was lying in the box.
Quickly, Firestorm moved the body to one of the biobeds and erected a quarantine field around it. "Alex, look at this!" he called, waving the quarantined medical officer over, "we are going to be in trouble over this, or rather commander Seth is going to be."
Then he gave off the Sivaoan equivalent of a chuckle. "But now that we have the body here, it'll save me a trip down to Vulcan. As you seen to be looking better, perhaps you can assist me?" He gazed down at the corpse and carefully started removing his clothing. When both medics were staring down at the young Vulcan's naked body they discovered something odd. "Look at this," Firestorm pointed out, pointing at a discoloured hole at the Vulcan's chest. "This must be what killed him," he added, holding a tricorder close to the entry point. "Here, help me turn him over, I want to see if there's an exit point."
There wasn't, so the projectile was still inside his body. Then Firestorm shook his head. "Despite massive trauma to the chest, it can't be what killed him. He's Vulcan, his heart's not situated in his chest. Yet there's massive bruising to his side. Almost as if he's been beaten after he got shot. He must've been in agony, poor fella."

"I'm cured?" Alex said in disbelief. The doctor told her so, and she came out to see how she could help. She smiled when Firestorm mentioned Bern being in trouble later.
"Well, someone should create a little mischief, or this would actually be a normal mission," Alex said and chuckled. She helped to turn the Vulcan onto his side. ~Man he's heavier than I would have thought.~
She realized what Firestorm said about the bruise on his side. ~Now that is very strange. Why would someone beat up a Vulcan? Better yet, what creature would be able to beat up a vulcan?~
"Doctor, I suggest we scan and find out what is in his chest. If they sent something into him that would make him weak, then maybe we can understand what kind of creature was able to beat up a Vulcan. If there was another way of beating him up, then I don't know of it," Alex said not sure of what else to suggest.

Will took over the console when Sheeta stepped aside and began pulling up the video feeds of when the intruders came on board.
"Ma'am?" he said, "I don't believe it could have been one of the pirates from the other ship. The inhibitors had to be tampered with BEFORE they came over in order for then to come over, correct?"

"I already know what is in his chest," Firestorm deadpanned as he worked to retrieve the object. Seconds later he held a small metallic object between the tweezers he was holding and showed it to the other doctor. "Projectile weapon," he hissed, "this is what weakened him, but not what killed him. They first shot the poor boy and as he went down they viciously kicked him. A well aimed kick in his side is what killed him. I wouldn't be surprised if the shot had taken him by surprise. That or someone who knew him pulled the trigger."
He pointed at the bruising around the entry point. "It was a small projectile weapon and was fired at close range, but not close enough to cause an exit wound. However this projectile dit ricochet off his ribs, causing the massive trauma."
The Sivaoan put the object aside and motioned for Nikmud to release the body. "There is no need to molest this body any more than we already have. I just hope this boy's katra was recovered before he actually died. Or that he managed to place it into an unknowing victim before he died." He sniggered. "Wouldn't that be ironic? His assaillant going mad because he bears the essence of his victim?"
(alex)
Firestorm tapped his combadge. "Sickbay to bridge, I have discovered how the poor Vulcan boy died. He was beaten to death after being shot at close range. I am returning the body to his family in a few minutes."

Jent knew he was taking a risk, but he decided it was time. He was sick of being bossed around by that girl, and he wanted something better. ~They always get the good stuff, and they never share much of the spoils either. I sick of this life, there has to be something better.~ He thought, as he made the call.
"Hullo, I dan't knaw if anyan cun hear me un the ater end, but her goes. I em Jent, and we or the USS Artful Dodger, and we or an route to Taleskes six. It es hamboose for us, and we da or bist to meek sure naw to elluw aters to see it. The exess cade to uncluk the plenut is 65891332. I stale the cade whun naw un was leeking. Our ship's cade, weel I dan't knaw thut un at all," Jent said hoping they would get the message. He signed off and sent it to the USS Hepta, since that is where the guy in the brig was from. He carefully erased everything, and hoped no one would find out he did this. It was crucial that the crew didn't find him in this.
Serena had been watching things from her station when she saw it. It looked like a little bleep, but it was too much of one to have her let it just pass. She started to scan it, and gasped when she was what it was. She couldn't open it, at least not yet. She downloaded it to a padd, and walked over to see the captain, settling next to him in the extra chair.
"Hello there, I don't know what it is worth to you, but we have a spy. I picked a little something up on my radars, and I thought you might like to know," Serena said moving the padd closer, and then pulling it back when he tried to take it.
"Oh, you thought I'd just give this to you. What's in it for me?"

Jamison and Sheeta were looking at the vid feeds and not finding anything out of the ordinary. It appeared that Will had been right about the inhibitors being tampered with before the pirates arrived. That meant someone on board. While they were checking other information, the communications officer called Commander Bern to the station.
"Sir. I just received this transmission and it sounds kind of garbled."
"Let me hear it." said the commander.
"The Artful Dodger!? Get me all the information on that vessel, now!" Bern ordered
Everyone scrambled off to do their part. Just then...
"Do what you need to do and do it quickly doctor. We may have a lead on the captain. Bern out."

Having nodded at Commander Jenkins, and gone off to refine his strategy, Tiberian heard the garbled transmission. Listening to the strange accent and the information given, he set off at once to the Tactical console and began drawing up all te information on the USS ARTFUL DODGER. With the full information now appearing on his screen, he read aloud to the bridge crew: "USS ARTFUL DODGER, stolen two and a half months ago whilst on route to be decommissioned. It had only a skeleton crew aboard, all were either beamed directly into space or killed aboard. Ships locator beacon, as well as its black box, was jettisoned in the Gamma Erandi system, roughly 35 lightyears from here. No confirmed contact since that time. The Dodger was being decommisioned due to a number of engineering problems, nothing crippling, but enough to prevent them from normal duties. Their imulse manifolds were continuously stalling, preventing sublight speeds above 3/4 impulse, and a joint defect in their inertial dampeners and plasma injectors limited Warp speed to factor 7. Plus the outdated Romulan cloaking device was still susceptible to Tachyon scanners" Having finished explaining the ship schematics, Tiberian drew up a second screen about Taleskes Six. "Sir Taleskes Six is approximately 12 lightyears from the Vulcan system. At maximum warp, we could reach there in less than one hour" Whilst everyone bustled about in readiness, Tiberian decided to sate a little bit of personal self indulgence: "Computer, Red Alert. All hands battle stations" Drawing appraising looks from all the officers on the bridge as he walked to the turbolift preparing to assemble his marine team, Tiberian shrugged and grinned, saying: "Sorry Sir, I always wanted to do that" And with that he departed for the armoury.

Josh chuckled. "Don't worry about it cadet. I'm sure we all have things like that we would love to do, and alot of the time we just don't get the chance to say something like telling the computer to go to red alert."
Josh was about to say more, but the cadet left. He figured the cadet was just doing his job, and got back to what was going on.
=^=Doctor, its now or never. We need to be on our way.=^=
Josh heard the reply, and then ordered for the vulcan to be returned from whence he came. After that was over, Josh sat down, and knew what was next.
"Find that ship, lets go rescue our captain."
Alex carefully put the body back down, and shook her head. "What a tragic way to live. Having someone's katra in you, only making you feel like you are crazy."
Alex moved back into the area she was to get make sure the information she had was transferred to Ops. She returned to the doctor.
"Does this mean I can leave sickbay and return to my duties in full?" Alex said anxious to get back to work on the bridge.
Williams was busy where she was working, and had ignored the doctor's call only half hearing it any ways. ~I have too much to do, and too little time to pursue some physical. He will just have to wait.~ She thought, and continued with what she was doing.

Jamison left right after Cadet Wong. He knew that the security personnel would have to ready as well. He reached the armory right after Tiberian.
"I guess we're the main line of defense on this tub. You got any kind of plan in that brain of yours?" asked Will as he grabbed a phaser and a rifle. He wasn't sure what they were gonna to just yet but he was sure he would need his weapons.
Just as he was strapping on his phaser, he remembered what happened to Cadet Ardawen.
"We need to check as many weapons as possible. We believe that there may be malfunctions in some of them if not all. Remember the one that blew up in Ardawens hand?"
Both cadets tapped their coms and got more cadets, both starfleet and marines, to report to the armory. They put everyone of them to work checking every phaser and rifle in the room.
"Everyone do a complete inspection of every weapon. We also need to do it one at a time for each person. We can't have all of our weapons broke down when we engage the pirates. So break down one, inspect it and then reassemble it. Then move to the next one."
Jamison then turned to Wong. "Anything else you can think of before all hell breaks loose?"

Josh noticed they were closing in on the pirate ship. "Shields up." He opened a channel to the ship.
=^=All hands, battle stations.=^=
Josh felt the ship rock a little and knew it had begun. "Evasive manuvers. Find them, then return fire at will."
Sheeta headed off to find her cadets.
Alex came onto the bridge, and headed to her station, knowing what to do.
"Searching now," Alex said and looked around to see what she could find. It took a couple of minutes, and she uploaded what she found to Sheeta first, then to the security and navigations second.
Sheeta went to the armory, and found they were searching the weapons. She sighed.
"There is no need for that cadets. The weapons are safe for now, we searched and found it wasn't us that blew up that weapon. After scanning the blown up phaser, we found an outside force is what caused it to explode. So get those weapons put back together and lets get to work on making a plan to rescue the captain. I have a detailed map, thanks to Ops, of this place now," Sheeta said pulling out a padd and downloading the information.
"Jamison, Wong, what do you think we should do here?"

Without hesitation, Jamison spoke up. "I believe we only have 2 true options ma'am. First, and preferably, we find the ship, disable the shields and beam aboard just like they did us. Once on board, we can free the captain and take back the vessel."
"And option 2, Cadet?" Sheeta asked
"Option 2 isn't gonna be anyones favorite. Weather we get back the captain or not, that ship can not stay in enemy hands. If we can't board it we must destroy it."
"Are you suggesting that we blow it up with the captain still on board?"
"Only as a last resort, ma'am. We can't let our feelings for one person jeopardize the lives of many."

"Your right, I don't like option two, and propose an option three. We rescue the captain, and if we can't take back the ship, then we blow it. Cadets take over, its time you show me what tactics you know. Lets do this right," Sheeta said, hoping they would find a way to get the ship back. ~I'd hate to have to explain why we blew that ship up.~ She thought.
"Cadet Wong! I can't believe you didn't catch this before! Go and arrest Dr. Firestorm for aiding and imbeding on theft, and make sure you take him before the commanding officer to let the CO pass judgement on his crimes. Don't forget to arrest Bern as well. Our CO will know what crimes they are, I will make sure he knows," Sheeta said sounding very unhappy. She watched the cadet leave.
Josh noticed they were doing their best. "Three out of ten small ships destroyed, sir." He heard the report and was somewhat pleased, even if he didn't show it. Suddenly he saw the doctor with a cadet.
"What is the meaning of this cadet?!"

As Tiberian was assemblng his marine team and choosing equipment for the assault, Will entered the armoury. "I guess we're the main line of defense on this tub. You got any kind of plan in that brain of yours?" asked Will as he grabbed a phaser and a rifle. "Board, shoot, shoot some more, keep shooting, rescue the Captain, shoot a little bit more, and then consider asking someone for a surrender" Tiberian replied with a devilish grin, as he loaded flashbangs and photon grenades into a backpack. "We need to check as many weapons as possible. We believe that there may be malfunctions in some of them if not all. Remember the one that blew up in Ardawens hand?" Will then said. "Just one thing" Tiberian replied as he finished reassembling his own rifle "I want three security personnel at each of the following locations, the bridge, engineering, sickbay, transporter rooms, battle bridge, and anywhere with ample computer access, go" As the security officers filed out of the armoury, Sheeta entered. "There is no need for that cadets. The weapons are safe for now, we searched and found it wasn't us that blew up that weapon. Somewhat taken aback by this, Tiberian interjected "With all due respect Will, I know for a fact that it is the procedure in the marines never to leave a man behind. If a tactical assault fails I believe negotiation should be undertaken. Forcing us to kill one of our own is a victory for them. Anyway Starfleet Directive 010: Before engaging alien species in battle any and all attempts to make first contact and achieve a non-military solution must be made. Also Starfleet General Order 17 clearly states Starfleet vessel captains are to consider the lives of their crew members as sacred. In any potentially hostile situation, the captain will place the lives of his crew above the fate of his ship. If the Captain would treat us in such a way, we should afford him the same right" "Your right, I don't like option two, and propose an option three. We rescue the captain, and if we can't take back the ship, then we blow it. Cadets take over, its time you show me what tactics you know. Lets do this right," Sheeta then suddenly said "Cadet Wong! I can't believe you didn't catch this before! Go and arrest Dr. Firestorm for aiding and imbeding on theft, and make sure you take him before the commanding officer to let the CO pass judgement on his crimes. Don't forget to arrest Bern as well. Our CO will know what crimes they are, I will make sure he knows," Tiberian left immediately, highly confused by his new orders. He had just been told to arrest the ships doctor and acting Captain without even being given a reason. Deciding to determine what was going on before commiting borderline mutiny, he went immediately to sickbay, where he approached doctor Firestorm. "I'm very sorry to bother you sir, but I need you to come with me immediately"
<Tag Firestorm>
Having collected the doctor, Tiberian went immediately to the bridge, walking in with the doctor in tow. Commander Jenkins had turned round to witness his entrance, shouting: "What is the meaning of this cadet?!" "If only I knew sir" Tiberian replied "I have been told by Commander Sheeta to arrest both Dr Firestorm and Acting Captain Bern, and bring them before Commander Jenkins for judgement. However, under Starfleet General Order 28, I have chosen to disobey this order until I can actually gather what the hell is going on!"

"I'm very sorry to bother you sir, but I need you to come with me immediately"
Firestorm put down his PADD and gazed up at the cadet from his sitting down position at the microscope. "Was the captain found?" he querried, after shutting down the microscope. He'd been examining tissue from the dead Vulcan, whose body had been returned to his family along with his most humble apologies.
The Sivaoan still needed to lodge complaints about how he had gotten into the possession of the body, but for some odd reason he felt now was too late. Instead, he had sent an apologetic letter to the family explaining how through some misunderstanding he had received the body where he'd been well aware of the family's wishes and how he had decided that, now that he had the body, he might as well go through with the autopsy.
Along with his letter, he had also sent a preliminary report with his findings. Now, he stood up from his seat and nodded at Tiberian, wondering why exactly it was so urgent that he needed to come with the marine cadet.
When they arrived at the bridge, the marine immediately beelined for Jenkins, who seemed not at all pleased at finding the civillian doctor on his bridge without practical need. Despite his sharp hearing, Firestorm couldn't hear the heated discussion Jenkins and Tiberian were having, and he didn't try to overhear either. He was certain that, should he have a need to know, he'd be told eventually.
As it was, he seated himself at the science console to review some data he'd recovered from the Vulcan, while he waited to be informed as to why exactly he'd been called to the bridge.

While Tiberan went off to round up the doctor and Commander Bern, Jamison set about arming and assign missions to the security and marine personnel that they were gonna use to board the Artful Dodger. He also sent details to all the locations throughout the Hepta that he believed the pirates would try to beam over to. The plan was a simple one provided they found the ship and could get the shields down. They would beam several teams over to various vital locations and take over the ship and release the captain. With any luck, it would only take seconds for the rescue to take place. Jamison was set to go so he kept himself busy by walking around and checking and rechecking everyone else. Once Wong returned they would send each team off to different transporter rooms and they would then standby. After that, it was up to the folks on the bridge to find them a target.

Serena had been patrolling, hoping to find who sent that message. She still hadn't been able to have it opened, and wondered who would do such a good job of coding it.
Serena returned to her station hoping the traitor would turn up soon. Suddenly a few alarms when off. She looked, and realized who was at their back door.
"Deploy small fighters. Prepare for battle. Hail that ship!" She said realizing the captain was asleep at this hour. She thought about waking him, but decided not to bother. A face came upon the screen.
"Back off, or you will leave me no choice. Your captain will be found by some federation ship within a week, and I guarentee he won't be breathing," she said not caring who she was dealing with.
"I'm not going anywhere, neither is this ship. I suggest you just give up, might be easier for you in the end," a man said, and she wondered why he even bothered.
"This is your final warning. When we escape you, your captain will have no chance," Serena said hoping he would realize this wasn't an empty threat. She commanded to close the link, and watched them take on the small fighters.
Serena was impressed that they could take on the fighters, and realized this wasn't going to be as easy as she thought.
"Okay, get us into space. Attack them, manuvers geto six one three. Make it snappy," she yelled not happy they were losing the battle. ~Oh well, we will win the war.~
A little later they were close enough to attack the intruders, and she ordered to open fire. After a few shots reports came in that their shields were weakening.
"Keep it up.." she was about to say when suddenly they found they were being shot at now.
"How did they find us?! Move us to a new spot, and pray they don't know where we are," Serena warned, her purple eyes showing how upset she really was.
Moving did nothing to help them, and suddenly Serena found people on the bridge that she didn't know.
"They are invading, take now prisoners!" Serena yelled and dropped down out of fire range grabbing her tool. The device was what she needed, and she didn't envy the person holding the phaser. ~I will only have one shot at this, so I need to take out their commander.~ She listened for who was barking orders, and found him easy enough.
Serena came into view and aimed the device at him. She felt something hit her hand, and she dropped the device. As it hit the deck, it smashed into a bunch of pieces. Serena looked to see what had happened, and noticed someone shot her hand.
"Freeze!" She heard, and realized that it would be easy to disarm him, then noticed a couple of phasers on her.
"Looks like we have a problem here. Good thing we don't have any failure to communicate. THE BRIDGE HAS BEEN TAKEN! ARM YOURSELVES, AND KILL THEIR CAPTAIN!" Serena said glad she had managed to activate communications with security below. Suddenly she was beamed away, and noticed her second officer in their department had pulled her out of that sticky situation.
"Remind me to kiss you later. Now, we must retake our ship."

Josh couldn't believe this. "Cadet, release them, and return to your duties. I plan on talking to your instructor about this later. If I think I know what has happened, then she won't be happy. I don't tolerate this, and I congratulate you on questioning that order. It was an order she shouldn't have given, dimissed," he said making a mental note to talk to Sheeta about pranks. He sighed and turned back to the current situation.
Josh heard they were being hailed, and he said to answer the hail. A woman was on the viewscreen. ~She's pretty.~ Josh thought, and smiled.
"I am Commander Josh Jenkins of the USS Hepta. We wish to engage peacefully, but will do what is necessary. We are on a search and rescue mission right now," he said hoping she would introduce herself soon. He thought he felt his cheeks becoming warm. It wasn't long before the conversation was ended.
"As soon as we get their shields low enough, I want security and marines to go in," Josh said, and found about ten minutes later they had the enemy shields down low enough. He contacted the marines and security officers who were going to rescue the captain telling them they had a green light.

Thankful that he had taken the Doctor and Commander Bern to the Bridge, rather than the Brig, Tiberian practically sprinted back to the armoury, nearly knocking Will over on his way in. Seeing that a multi location assault had been devised, Tiberian looked at the team allocation, and opted on accompanying Will to the Bridge. As the teams made their final preparations, Tiberian addressed them all. "OK gang, a few rules that will hopefully get us back alive. Number One, don't shoot each other, just the bad guys" This caused a certain amount of laughing and smiling in the ranks, breaking the ice and putting people at their ease. "Not joking guys" Tiberian continued with a smile "I once stunned my instructor during Hell Deck training. That actually brings me to my second point, all weapons set to heavy stun only. We want prisoners, not atoms, and this will help if somebody forgets rule number one. Next, don't shoot the warp core, if you do, you might experience a bang anda loud ringing in your ears. Luckily you'll be nowhere near them, so you should be alright" The smile fading instantly, Tiberian continued in a serious manner: "Now the real stuff people. We move quick, effective and ruthlessly. Shoot first ask questions later. Secure key areas of the ship, report in to me or Cadet Jamison on Alpha team. Once key areas are secured sit tight and dig in. We'll begin deploying internal defence countermeasures as soon as we know what areas to cut off. Here' the humdinger people. We've got two plans if the primary goes cockeyed. Backup one is we vent the atmosphere in all unsecured locations, killing all the occupants. THis risks the Captains life if he is out of the brig, and will only be used if an assault and countermeasures have failed. Backup two is worse. The Captain and us are expendable, and if recovery and exfiltration are not possible, the vessel will be destroyed, with us on it" An eerie hush enveloped the room at this statement. Undeterred and undaunted Tiberian finished "I don't know about anyone else here, but I don't plan on dying today. So lets get the Captain, get the ship, and get the hell back home, who's with me?" A resounding chorus of "Yes Sir" echoed around the room. As Tiberian moved towards the exit. "Lets show a bit of urgency" Tiberian said as he and Will left with their team. They entered transporter room one and took up positions on the pads, waiting for the transporter chief to give them the nod. "OK lads" Tiberian said "Last one to bag a bad guy buys the beers" Grinning, He saw the transporter chief nod, and moments later he materialised on the Dodgers bridge. Phaser fire flew in all directions as Tiberian and Will both felled security officers. As Tiberian fired again, felling someone running for the door, he heard a thud beside him. Turning and levelling his phaser he saw what looked like the ships commander on the floor, with Wills and another marines phasers aimed at her backs. Moments later she was transported away. "Alright" Tiberian yelled above the claxons "Consolidate and seal us in. Check with all other teams progress. If computer access is unavailable, prepare to move and clear"
