Having never talked to someone with such authority she felt very nervous and since it had never occurred to her to go to Commander O’Conner before this moment which at this point she wishes she had Commander Edwards turns away from his console to look at her which makes her even more nervous.
“Sir I was having some problems with my telepathic abilities so I went with the doctor to see what the problem was in this case though there wasn’t a problem the guardian of these people whose name is Ciritus was just trying to contact me and he has been guarding these people for years because he doesn’t want any harm to come to them. It might be unwise to mine the rings because we don’t know exactly what will happen to the people below.” She says still nervous but trying not to show it as the commander looks at her and he takes a minute to let the information sink in.

TJ looked at the cadet as he processed the information she had given him.
"Very well. 'Tis a good thing ye did in bringin' th' matter t' our attention, cadet.
"Can ye be tellin' me if you'll be able t' get ahold o' this Ciritus again?"
"I'm not sure," she answered.
"Well, I'm goin' t' be asking ye t' try. What I'm wonderin' is if we can get t' speak with him directly t' avoid an incident later.
"Th' Federation is in need o' th' minerals that might be on th' rings an' moons o' this beauty, yet 'tis best t' keep in th' good graces o' th' natives," he said as his attention went back to the viewscreen.
"Dismissed, cadet... an' thank ye."

“Very well 'tis a good thing ye did in bringin' th' matter t' our attention, cadet can ye be tellin' me if you'll be able t' get ahold o' this Ciritus again?" the commander says looking directly at her not blinking.
"I'm not sure I could try to reach him again he did help me to learn how to control my abilities so maybe that will help," she answers.
"Well, I'm goin' t' be asking ye t' try. What I'm wonderin' is if we can get t' speak with him directly t' avoid an incident later th' Federation is in need o' th' minerals that might be on th' rings an' moons o' this beauty yet 'tis best t' keep in th' good graces o' th' natives" he said as his attention went back to the viewscreen.
“Yes, sir, I will do my best to represent the fleet’s wishes.” She says awaiting the order so she can go and do.
"Dismissed, cadet... an' thank ye." The commander says without looking at her she turns and leaves to go to her quarters where she feels she must try again upon entering her quarters she finds she is alone and she lays on her bed without getting undressed and she finds she is trying too hard after several attempts and hours of trying she drifts off to sleep where she is standing on the moon this time.
“Hello my young friend what can I do for you I noticed you were trying so hard to reach me next time just relax it is the best way to find me.” He says laughing and looking at her.
“I have come to find out what exactly the rings and the moons mean to you and your people the Federation wants to mine them for the ore but we don’t want to harm your people is this possible at all?” she asks watching to see what he will do just in case he gives her any indication but unfortunately he doesn’t.
“If you want the ore in the moons then take them as for the rings you must leave them alone my people need them to survive you could ask them yourself if you want to I would allow you and your friends to visit them as long as you don’t bring any weapons is this all you want of me?” he says still looking kind she only nods and he smiles sending her off to where she was going in her dream.

Sickbay: The Vision!
Cadet Liz Janeway had returned to sickbay with Stuart Mercy. While laying on the biobed, she had gone into a type of trans.
“What is happening, Dr Mackler?” Stuart asked while looking over the bio readings.
“Look at this panel, here. You see these waveforms? Those are her neural pathways. The high rate of activity seems to indicate that she is communicating with someone or something. She isn’t in any immediate danger. You continue monitoring her and notify me of any changes, while I make my report to the Captain and First Officer.” Dr Mackler left sickbay in search of the bridge.
A few hours had past, when Cdt2C Janeway had come out of her sleep.
“I must see the Captain. I need to make a report about what happened.”
“Well, all of the scans indicate no problems exist with you. I suppose it’s alright.” Stuart gave her a clean bill of health and excused Liz to return to the bridge, to make her report.
Sickbay: Preparing For The Away Mission
“This biobed sure is interesting and of great value. Never had the luxury of seeing such a thing before.” Stuart reflected out loud.
“You’re correct of its value as far as saving and maintaining lives, Cadet Mercy. It’ll become one of your main diagnostic tools once you graduate and take up the position of Chief Medical Officer.” Dr Mackler assured him.
“I suggest you get prepped for the away mission. It should be commencing soon.” Dr Mackler instructed.
“Yes! Other than a basic medkit, should I need anything more specific for this mission?” Stuart looked inquisitively at Dr Mackler.

Instead of a wonderful dream, she finds she has another nightmare, and these have been happening often. Unfortunately she keeps reliving an experience she would rather forget. She shakes off the dream, gets up to run water over her face, and heads to the bridge to report on the new situation. At such a late hour, she finds the halls empty, and she hopes the commander is still on the bridge.
Walking onto the bridge, she finds the commander is still there, and she is very much relieved to see him.
"Sir, I have made contact with him again, and there is new information. He says we can go down to the planet to visit the people, but we must leave our weapons behind. He also stated that we must leave the rings alone, but that we can have the ore in the moons as they are of no use to anyone. Is there anything else?" She says standing at attention awaiting some kind of order, and hoping not to be dismissed again. She doesn't want to go back and sleep anymore because of her nightmares, and thinks it best if she gets some work done. She awaits word from her XO.

(OFF: Sorry for not posting sooner! ) ON: After telling Commodore ONE of their expedition, Commander Ford and Cadet McLeod went to an airlock close to the main sensor array and each put on a suit. The walk out to the main sensor array was not too long, but both Cleburn and William felt a little uneasy the first few moments as they looked around outside the ship. Soon, though, both were confidently walking towards the sensor. "So this is the main sensor right?" Cleburn asked. "Yep," replied William. "This is it. Without the main sensor array, warp drive would be impossible. Even impulse would be hard. Phasers and photon or quantum torpedoes would be fireing blind. Obviously, its a very important system. If you walk down into the dish you'll see where the center piece can be dislodged from the rest of the array. Whatever you do, don't shoot it." The two talked for a little while longer and then turned to go back inside the ship. (OFF: for more info, watch FC where Picard, Worf, and Hawk walk out onto the sensor. you can also go to www.ditl.org. it's a great site for all sorts of info)

He also stated that we must leave the rings alone, but that we can have the ore in the moons as they are of no use to anyone. Is there anything else?" TJ frowned at the mention of leaving weapons behind. Usually, phasers were carried, but out of sight, even on diplomatic missions. Being weaponless on a strange world was not good, and as a former CTSO of the Hepta, red flags went up in TJ's brain.
"No weapons, d'ye say?" mused the Irishman. "'Tis not likin' it I am. Far too close t' settin' a trap.
"Still, maybe there is a way around it..." he said, making a note to ask ONE about including Commander Chan as a member of the away team. Her skills in various forms of the martial arts would prove useful in the event of an attack on weaponless Starfleet personnel. He had seen Xin-Ling battle before, and knew she could handle several assailants at once. Just how many she could face simultaneously before the outcome was in question he had yet to find out. TJ noticed the cadet's hesitancy to leave the Bridge, and asked her the problem.
"Nothing, sir," she repiied. "It's just that I think I'd do better if I spent a little extra time here."
"Well," TJ mused, "if 'tis extra duty you're wantin', we can accomodate ye. But would ye not rather be about some form of recreation before your shift comes up? Ye still are havin' three hours 'til your turn at duty again."

Cleburn and Commander Ford had tramped all over the sensor array. Commander Ford pointing out the various parts of the array and explaining there function. Cleburn asking a question here and there. Cleburn finially said, "Well, sir, I believe that ye have shown me just aboot ev'ry par tof the sensor array. Could we head inside, and could you explain the idea of a sensor cloak?" "Sure, we can head on in." Commander Ford answered as they headed back to the airlock. Tag Ford Cleburn paused for just a second before heading into the airlock. He glanced a the planet he had figured they were heading to. "You know, sir, tis a beaut of a planet, but she just seems a lil dangerous, ye know like a Highland storm just before it hits." Tag Ford

Dr. Mackler led Stuart to where the medkits were. Other than the basic kit she retrieved a couple of anti-radiation ampoules and placed them in the kit. “Just load a hypospray with this and administer to anyone who may be affected with radiation poisoning.”
“What will their symptoms be?” Inquired the medical cadet.
“Believe it or not, if you have ever had too much to drink, it’ll be something like that. They will become dizzy and lose their bearings. Ultimately they will vomit as the radiation will affect the stomach lining and shortly afterwards will start affecting other major organs as well.” Dr. Mackler went ahead and charged two hyposprays for the away mission.
“I see. I’ll keep my eyes open then.” Stuart helped in preparing the rest of the medkit.

"I suppose I could try and entertain myself, and there must be some one who is lonely right now. I could go if you would prefer sir." She says still standing at attention. A bit of a smile slowly peeked through TJ's worried countenance, followed by the characteristic twinkle of his eyes when he smiled, though it was somewhat muted due to his concern over the "no weapons" policy that was being set by the alien guardian of the planet below.
"If you prefer," he began in answer, "ye may be takin' your seat at th' console. But 'tis warnin' ye I am, that this is your final opportunity t' escape extra duty hours on this shift!" he said, his smile widening.
"Sure, an' why don't ye let th' colleen come over here an' take th' extra time on duty," came a voice from the empty chair at the console.
The cadet, startled by the voice, took her seat at the console as TJ's mischievous smile deepened slightly.

She began her extra duties swiftly not sure exactly what was going on, but she had heard the commander was sometimes causing trouble. She suspected he was somehow linked with the voice, but she didn't give it much thought because of the tasks at hand. She sees several things have happened since she had last been at her post.
Half an hour passes and not much is going on. She yawns and wonders if this is how third shift always runs. The commander asks if she is bored or just plain tired.
"Sorry, sir, didn't realize anyone saw that. I am a little of both, and didn't seem to know there wasn't going to be much to do here at this hour. I would have still been sleeping if it weren't for reliving a nightmare." She says chuckling without looking up from her console.

Time: After leaving Comander Ford Cleburn walked back to his quarters to read up some on what he and Commander Ford had talked about. He set down in his quarters and began reading after ordering a cup of iced tea. He read for a while. He glanced at his watch and realized he still had training to do before the away mission was called for. He got up reached over to a cabinet and pulled out an beautifully inlaid box. He carefully opened it to reveal a beautiflly crafted claymore. He hefted the claymore and gave it a prelimimary swing. He softly began chanting a ancient ballad in the old gaelic. He walked out of his quaters still concentarting on the sword and singing softly. He turned a corner and almost ran headlong into someone. Tag someone i have not met After speaking with him(or her). Cleburn wlaked silently into the holodeck and said," Computer begin program McLeod SKye alpha." Cleburn turned as the scene changed and walked up to an ancient cottage on a bare hill back in the Highlands. An old man was standing at the door. Cleburn said,"Sir, I have returned." The old man looked up and said,"Aye, that ye have laddie. Let's see of ye've learned anything since our last drill." With the old man pulled out a claymore almost the same as Cleburn's. the two began fighting after bowing.

Just got word from the Captain. There are RL circumstances that made it difficult for him to respond. We'll need to speed through the away team's work on the panet, negotiating with the natives and getting aboard ship quickly to prepare for the graduation upcoming.
Please note... If any cadet has not yet turned in his or her bio, you need to do so ASAP.On the Bridge...TJ had already discussed the situation with the Captain, and now, with the new "no weapons" policy set by the planet's guardian, he had another difficulty to consider.
Pressing a switch on his chair, he spoke into the ship's intercom.
"All hands, this is th' First Officer. By order o' th' captain, th' followin' cadets will be reportin' at once t' Transporter Room Two as members o' th' away team.: Commander Jack Parker ... Commander Xin-Ling Chan ... Commander Jordan Mackler ... Mr. Penfold ... Cadets Jamey Parker, Brandon O'Connell, Blackburn, O'Neill, Stuart Mercy, Cleburn McCloud, J'Ka, Liz Janeway."
TJ turned to the cadet sitting at the Operations console.
"Ye best be gettin' on your way, colleen. We'll call up another cadet t' operate your station."
With that, Cadet Janeway left the Bridge. Two Hours Later...The away team had trasported to the planet's surface just a little over one hour earlier when an announcement from the Cadet Tillsdale in the Operations Chair disrupted the peaceful silence of the veiwscreen.
"Picking up something here, Mr. Edwards," the cadet reported.
Suddenly, as if moving itself out from under a blanket, a large warship rippled into view. The design was Klingon, but the markings were not from the Klingon world.
The planet's image on the viewscreen was disrupted by a Romulan face...
"Hepta, this is Sub Commander Tal. You are prisoners of the Romulan Empire, and are hereby ordered to stand down and prepare for boarding." Okay, those of you still aboard the Hepta, we now have a "double threat" if the guardian of the planet below is actually hostile (that we don't know.) Have fun, but don't blow up the captain's ship!

Realizing her name has been called, she hands over her station to someone else, and preps for the away mission.
Beaming down was nothing, and now they stand on the planets surface. She is nervous, and has no idea why she was sent down here. She can't help with the language, doesn't know the location of anything, and realizes she is going to be of little help to anyone. She feels something is wrong as well, as if someone was trying to tell her something. The away team starts to walk toward the nearest village, and Liz drifts to the very back hoping to break away and find out what is going on. It isn't easy as J'Ka is watching her, but finally the cadet is looking away and she disappears behind a rock before anyone realizes she is gone.
She walks down a narrow path to the top of a hill, where she sits indian style on a rock near the path. She closes her eyes and relaxes trying to see what the commander sees, as she senses some tension from him.
"Hepta, this is Sub Commander Tal. You are prisoners of the Romulan Empire, and are hereby ordered to stand down and prepare for boarding." She hears this as well, and realizes the ship is in trouble. She wonders if they know of the away mission, and of the guardian. There has to be something she can do, as the romulans are cousins to the vulcans. She realizes that just because they don't have the mental disciplines doesn't mean they can't communicate, or something. Realizing what she must do and how this will drain her, she gets into the mind of the romulan's cheif engineer. He starts to resist, but then he willingly responds to her and she starts to brainwash him, which doesn't take long.
She makes him punch a few wrong buttons, so the ship will be disabled and not a threat. She waits a few minutes to see what happens, and then realizes the romulan threat has been taken care off. She slowly returns to her own body, and feeling really tired drifts off to sleep.
When she wakes up it is dark, and a little girl is sitting next to her on a different rock.
"Weok notura bonak." The girl says looking at her, and all of a sudden she understands as if the guardian had given her a gift.
"I will help you. I know of a village not far from here, and I would bet that is where you want to go." She says looking at the little girl who is now very happy. They walk carefully down the path and toward the nearest village together.
Once there, she realizes something has gone wrong here too. She lets the girl run to one of the huts, and the girl disappears inside reappearing with a man.
"Who are you? What do you want?" He says with a puzzled expression on his face. She thinks for a minute and then responds.
"I am Liz Janeway. I wish to see your people, and learn how important the guardian and rings are to your people. Am I the only outsider to visit your village?" She says wondering what happened to the others.
"No you are not. The other outsiders are under arrest, since they would not talk to us." He says, and Liz is unhappy with the response but tries not to show it.
"The others are my friends, and wish none of you any harm." She says hoping no harm had come to any of these people, and she realizes she has no idea what kind of training the rest of the away team has for fighting without a weapon.
"These outsiders haven't hurt anyone, but they wouldn't tell us why they came. That is against the village law, but now you have told us. I think we can free them, but I will have to talk to the village elders and see. It will have to wait until morning, and since you have no place to stay it would be an honor if you would stay with us." He says waiting for her answer, and she just nods.
The next day the rest of the away team is freed, and with the information we had come to get she tells them it is time to go back to the ship. She looks at Penfold when she says this, hoping he will trust her on this one.

OFF: I don't know if I'm supposed to be on the ship or with the away team. I think I should stay on the ship, though, since Penfold is with the away team and there would be no one to man the science station.
"Hepta, this is Sub Commander Tal. You are prisoners of the Romulan Empire, and are hereby ordered to stand down and prepare for boarding."
This doesn't look promising, thought William.
ONE stood up. "I'm afraid I don't agree to your terms," he said in a calm voice. "You are commiting an act of war, and-"
"I have targeted your away team, and- erm, please hold," the Sub Commander looked slightly miffed at being cut off helfway through his victory speech. The screen went blank for a moment.
"That was odd," commented William.
Tal's face reappeared. He was now looking more than a little miffed. In fact, he looked positively unhappy. "I regret to say that, with the engine- I mean, uh, technical difficulties we are experiencing, I must take back what I said earlier. Stand by for further communication. Sub Commander Tal out." The screen went blank once more.
"Can anyone explain this?" asked ONE. No one spoke for weveral moments. Finally, William cleared his throat. "Sir, I believe I should contact the away team. It would be fastest to transport me down to them, rather than transporting them up here, because we could not transport them all at once, while it would take very little time to transport a single person. I will inform the of what has taken place."

Cleburn was in the middle of his training when the announcement to beam down came. "Excuse me, master." Cleburn said stepping back. "Computer, end program." Cleburn said and ran toward the transporter room. When he heard about the no weapons rule he ran by his quarters and laid the claymore down. He hurried back to the transporter room just in time to avoid being left behind. He transported with the rest of the team. He was kind of near the middle of the pack. He did not notice Liz slip away. When the team got in the villiage Cleburn noticed something was wrong. He began backing up, but was hit on the head from behind. When he came to he was in a small dark hut. "Is everybody ok, and did someone see what happened to Liz?" Tag someone Cleburn called the ship, "McLeod to Hepta, we seem to have been taken prisioner and Cadet Janeway is not with us. Please advise." Tag someone on Hepta

Things had quieted down a bit. The crew of the Hepta was over the initial shock of a Romulan Officer telling them they were prisoners. Captain One was in his ready room while Commander Edwards was checking a power surge in Engineering. James sat in the Captain's chair. He looked around the Bridge. All was quiet and the Ensigns at Science and Ops were quietly joking around with each other. The Science officer was a sweet girl who couldn't be much older than 24 or 25 and the Ops officer was about her age. He seemed to like her a lot and the girl's reactions betrayed that it was mutual. James smiled. He liked it when a crew got along well and he enjoyed seeing their little romance spring up. At 35, he didn't exactly consider himself old, but when he looked at how young some of the crew were, he sometimes felt like their grandpa. Starfleet Command had the strange tendency to send more and more children to the line. Of course, after the recent Dominion wars tehy didn't have much choice, but it was a nasty tendency. Some people were just too young to put on a starship. Quietly musing about the crew, he softly hummed to himself. Looking in the direction of the new-found couple, he softly murmered a Shakespearian sonnet.
A soft blip from the Ops console made the young Ops Ensign look up. Suddenly, he completely turned away from his grilfriend at science. James tensed. "Commander, there's something......I cannot be certain." James looked at him. "Calm down Engsign, tell me exactly what you......" James didn't get a chance to finish his sentence. "Sir, two Romulan Warbirds decloaking off the port bough!" The viewscreen sprang to life and they saw two enormous green warships appearing only a short distance away. "CRAP! Red Alert, all hands battle stations! Raise shields, arm all phasers and photon torpedoes! Captain and XO to the Bridge!" James yelled as he relieved the young Ensign and took his place behind the Ops console. The doors to the Ready Room opened and Captain One entered the Bridge. At the same time, the turbolift doors opened and Commander Edwards, who had just been on his way back from Engineering, stormed in. Both men yelled in harmony. "REPORT!"

off: Hey Commander O'Connor welcome back. ;D
on: Suddenly after she is reunited with her crew, she feels really dizzy as if something is wrong again. Sensing distress coming from many people, she faints and finds herself with the guardian again.
"What is going on?" She says looking around finding herself standing on a ring above the planet, and she sees the hepta. All of a sudden two romulan ships declock, and she realizes this is going to get interesting.
"This happened a few seconds ago, and now the two that appeared are attacking your ship. I would like to know why and is it going to hurt my people." He asks looking from the ships to her. She thinks for a minute realizing how she could help her crewmates, but is it the truth?
"I am not completely sure if they are a threat to your people, but I know the other two ships are Romulans, who are our enemies. They will go to any length to make us prisoners, and maybe even hurt the people down below if necessary. I can't say for sure though, as I am not part of them. I stopped them from attacking us earlier, but now there are two of them and I can't stop both. I can stop the one, and that will even the odds a little; however that won't stop them from sending more ships." She says trying to explain as best she can. The guardian looks at the ships thinking, and then he disappears to leave her alone.
He returns momentarily and fixes the view, and both the romulan ships are in distress because of a new anomaly, which doesn't affect the Hepta.
"That should fix the problem, and now they won't be sending any more ships either. Don't worry, I have fixed the new anomaly to not hurt your ship or the ore you want from the moons, and it won't hurt your friends ships either." He says smiling and looking at her, and she just nods and smiles back.
Not long after she faints, she wakes up with the crew standing all around her.

Just as TJ stormed onto the Bridge, he thought he noticed non-Federation issue uniforms flickering down a side corridor, but chalked it up to fatigue.
"Report!" he bellowed as he entered the control center of the Hepta.
Within seconds, there was the sound of disruptor fire in the corridors, mingled by a man's scream from outside the Bridge.

An explosion rocked the Bridge. TJ tumbled head first into Commodore ONE. James turned around as both men disentangled themselves from themselves. If the situation hadn't been so dire, James would probably have been on all fours laughing his behind off. There was pounding on the turbolift doors. TJ truned around. "What the......Security, seal off the Birdge." At that moment, the computer sounded the intruder alert. #Intruder alert, intruder alert, Boarding parties on Decks 1, 2,3, Sickbay and Engineering.#

Seth wondered why he wasn't sent down together with his cadets, but took it for granted. He closely monitored the sensors on his console to be sure that there wouldn't be an oudside threat for the away team. Seth was relaxed because he didn't expect the hepta to be in a hostile environment, but when some ships DID decloak not far away from the ship, he almost fell from his chair in amazement.
"CRAP! Red Alert, all hands battle stations! Raise shields, arm all phasers and photon torpedoes! Captain and XO to the Bridge!" Commander O'Connor yelled and it took some seconds for Seth to catch up to the situation.
Suddenly a message came from engineering: "there seems to be a problem in raising the starboard shields."
"No problem," Seth replied, "I'll turn the ship to make sure that the warbirds stay on our left, that should buy you some time! In the meantime it might be wise to rerout some extra power to those shields, they might have to endure some damage. Lieutenant Bern out."
In a quick move Seth turned the ship without awaiting any orders. He knew that this was wrong, but in this distress situation he also knew that it was sometimes best to take a little bit of initiative.
Without any warning Seth was thrown over his console, he looked around and saw that he wasn't the only one to endure such a problem. Only seconds after that he heard the firing of weapons outside the bridge while the computer gave notice that there were intruders on the ship.
*That's what I call running behind the facts* Seth thought to himself as he armed his phaser and made sure that he was ready if the intruders broke into the bridge.
"What the ...? Security, seal off the Birdge." Seth heard Commander Edwards say and with that safety he returned to his own post to see that there wasn't an immideate threat from the warbirds, their weaponsystems were not loaded.
Patiently Seth awaited an order from the FO.

Cleburn was quite surprised when suddenly they were relesed. He saw Liz there and noticed when she spoke with Penfold. He listened to the report Liz gave. When a villiager came up and spoke to Liz Cleburn realized that he was speaking a form of gaelic. Cleburn spoke to one of the villiagers who appeared to be in charge. He smiled when the villiager explained that he had no clue what Cleburn was asking about. Cleburn then asked about how they fought. The elder responded that they did not have any enemey's. Cleburn turned when the order to return to the ship came. Tag whoever OFF: Proabaly my last post for a week

Hearing the order to return to ship, she was very glad to be going to, what she had considered these last few weeks as, home. The beam up was uneventful, but they were under a red alert and the computer mentions something about intruders. The doors open and three armed romulans enter.
"Well look what we have here a bunch of officers and cadets. They aren't armed either, this should be easy." The lead romulan says looking very happy, and that is when she overpowers them with her mind. It doesn't drain her like the first time, and she wonders why. Once they have the romulan weapons, Liz sits down on the transporter pad and relaxes her mind sending a ship wide threat to all romulans aboard. This time however it does drain her and she faints.
off: when on the starbase she will wake up.
