Cyle walked around for amoment, trying to get a feel for this place, and for the sword in his hands. He had used a modified holo suite at home, he broke into a rich person's house and used it, and had created a program to teach him how to handle weaponry, and had started with the sword.
Cyle was preety confindent he could handle himself for awhile, but if any rather experienceed character were to challenge him, he doubted he would do any good.
Cyle looked around for the person who started this program, and decided he didnt want to use the computer, he wanted to do this the old way. He didnt find any leads though, so he sat down near a tree and rested for a short while

Joan had heard the message and cringed. She had been in sickbay before, and didn't like going there even now. She hoped she wouldn't keep remembering past times as she was only there for a physical.
"Sure doc, I'm on my way. By the way, Anderson isn't my cadet. She is an ops cadet." She says hoping to correct a small error. She didn't want people to think she stole a cadet, this being her first flight as a member of the Hepta crew. She remembered the mission where they were guests aboard the Hanson, and smiles all the way down to sickbay.
Once there, she sees the doctor is busy, so she leans against a wall near the door, not wanting to be in the way. She notices the cadet enters shortly after she did. She hears the cadets comments, and smiles.
"Well, cadet, we could keep each other company until it is our turn. The doctor must be busy at the moment, besides patience is a virtue. Please don't tell me it isn't right now, I do believe that patience is always a virtue, and it only gets better when it is practised." She says realizing she sounds like she is scolding. "Sorry, I don't mean to sound like an old school marm, but really I have heard that line a ton." She says trying not to look like an instructor at the moment.

"I guess your right Commander." Katie said.
Katie felt herself figiting again and she couldn't help herself. With one of instructors now talking to her Katie was becoming more nervious. She hoped it didn't show too much.

Once Joan has her physical, she heads down to the holodeck for some fun finding it is occupied. She smiles, and enters anyways. She hears the cadet, and decides to have a little fun with him asking for a sword and a change of clothes. She looks like an Amazon now, and remembers to remove the smile quickly before entering the scene.
"I am Joan, and I have been sent to kill you. Defend yourself!" She shouts and then gives a scream as if to charge. She cuts at his head, but he blocks it. The fight is on, and she doesn't know if he is ready, but she hopes he is.
Meanwhile, Lt. Johnson is busy trying to keep things going good until her cadet returns, which she finds isn't too difficult for the time being. All of a sudden an urgent message comes in with a high security clearance attacted to it.
"Captain, I believe I have a message only for your eyes." She says. "Aye, sir." She does as she is told, and moves on to continue her duties wondering what is taking so long with her cadet.
All of a sudden a man about thirty or so comes on the bridge and heads for Cadet Johnson. "Sorry, I was late getting to you. I hope things are going well. Have you familiarized yourself with your station yet?" He says trying to make a good first impression.
OOC: Cycle, what position are you training as?

OFF: There are TWO people in the holodeck. Me and Cyle. ON: Roz heard someone enter the holoprogram and she hid behind a tree and watched him. He looked skilled with a sword but who knew if he was any good with it. He started to move around trying to find her but she always stayed just out of his reach and detection. She climbed a tree at one point to get a better advantage and saw him sit down under the tree she was in. She tried not to laugh at the irony of the situation but smiled all the same. She then heard another person come into the holodeck and after getting a weapon of his own, he approached the man under the tree and asked him a question. Roz let them introduce one another before she spoke. Roz: The two of you have quite some guts to enter Amazon land. She then flipped down out of the tree and smiled at both of them. She made sure she was just out of their swords' reach when she landed. <tag: Cyle, Hunter>

Jordan saw the cadet and Joan enter. She was a bit busy at the moment but got to them quickly. She saw how nervous the cadet was and had Draco come down from a shelf on the wall.
Jordan: Cadet, this is Draco, my firelizard. He's going to hopefully keep your mind off the physical. As I said, it's quick and painless. Now just relax and I'll begin.
The physical was soon over and she sent the cadet back to duty. Now came Joan. She sat down on the biobed and Jordan didn't make eyecontact with her during the whole physical but she asked a few questions about the Hanson and the crew. Draco was scolding her the whole time for being a coward, which Jordan ignored until she finally snapped at him. He frowned and went back to his perch on the shelf. The physical ended shortly after that and Joan hopped off the biobed, smiling at Jordan. She paused before leaving and put a hand on Jordan's shoulder.
Joan: What happened wasn't your fault and I don't blame you for feeling as you do or for what you did. After all, Jason is quite handsome.
She winked and Jordan looked up into her eyes and smiled.
Jordan: That he is but I've moved on now.
Joan then left and went back to her duties. Jordan apologized to Draco for snapping at him and he apologized for criticizing her. Jordan then started working on a patient who had a burn on his hand from a bowl of hot soup pouring on his hand when he tripped. She looked at the hand and saw a few areas that were second-degree burns and a lot of his hand was covered with first-degree burns. Draco smelled meat and descended to sniff the hand but Jordan waved him off. The lieutenant looked at her curiously.
Lieutenant: What was that all about?
Jordan: Was it chicken soup that ya were burned by?
Lieutenant: Yes. How did you know?
Jordan: He smelled the chicken and wanted to sniff your hand. No doubt that he would have ended up lickin' it soon enough, which wouldn't have helped heal the burns on your hand any faster.
Lieutenant: Might have cleaned it.
Jordan looked up and saw the lieutenant smiling broadly and she laughed.
Jordan: You're being quite stoic about the pain but I bet those second-degree burns hurt more than ya can say.
The lieutenant nodded and Jordan saw tears begin to form in his eyes. She gave him a shot of painkiller and saw the tension in his eyes relax. Draco begged to lick the lieutenant's hand but Jordan told him no. She cleaned off the hand carefully and then began running the cellular regenerator over his hand. It was healed and back to normal a few minutes later. He slowly flexed his hand and looked at it.
Lieutenant: Thanks doc.
Jordan: You're welcome lieutenant.
She began putting instruments away as he got to his feet. Draco told her that he hadn't left yet and she turned back around.
Jordan: Is there something else lieutenant?
Lieutenant: Please, call me Malachi. I was wondering if... ah, nevermind.
He started to walk off and then turned back around. He opened his mouth then closed it and shook his head. He then left. Jordan looked up at Draco with a look of, What was that all about? Draco laughed but told her to figure it out for herself. Jordan cleared her head with a shake and then went back to work.

OFF: this may sound like a typical guy, but dang Doc, you fine! lol oh and Joan, its Cyle, not cycle. And i'm a marine, also i wasnt sure who you were attacking, so yeah on:
Cyle listened as he heard another cadet step up behind him, " names, Cyle" He said, not bothering to listen to anything else he had to say.
Cyle heard a voice speak up from above him, and looked to see a woman leap from the tree he was laying against
Roz: The two of you have quite some guts to enter Amazon land.
Cyle noticed she was just barely out of his swords reach, so he figured she wouldnt attacked unless provoked
"well, where i grew up, thats all you needed. Guts, and a good fight in ya" Cye sat toying with his sword, still leaning against the tree.
He then saw yet another person entering the program, dressed as an Amazon, He watched as she swung her sword, and pushed the other cadet out of the way, blocking the womans swing wth his own sword.
"coward, attacking someone from behind

The eyes of Andromache were riveted to the veiwscreen as Warbird rose in silence toward the underside ot its intended victim, the Klingon D-7 Battlecruiser. She smiled quietly. Had the Klingons been able to see her, a foreboding chill would have gripped each of their hearts without exception. Never would they admit to it, but this Themiscryan War Queen, tall and unyielding, had a growing reputation, chiefly among the Klingons, Romulans, and Terrans, and her stare would send shivers down the spine of the strongest of men. Many a legendary warrior had made the fatal mistake of underestimating her, and all were now in the afterlife. Whether the Elysian Fields or Tartarus, Andromache did not care. It was enough that they were dead.
Her slave, whose limb she had broken at capture, trembled as he entered the Bridge of Warbird. Andromache was a harsh mistress. Struggling to keep the tray he was carrying level, he approached the figure in the command chair, and knelt before her.
“Great mistress,” he began timorously, “For your pleasure...”
He bowed his eyes toward the deck of Warbird and extended his burden toward her. She, in response, swiftly brought up her foot, and, placing it against the tray, shoved both the slave and his burden backward to the deck.
“Idiot slave! I should have you whipped for your incompetence!” she scowled. Turning her attention to her Lieutenant, she complained, “Of all the stupid — to bring this to me in the midst of an attack approach!”
“I am ... sorry, mistress. So very sorry. I will clean this immediately, and, with your permission, withdraw.”
The War Queen glared at her slave, but said not a word.
Andromache was an exceedingly beautiful woman, but that beauty was a hard beauty. In many men, it generated a fear, a trembling heart. In all, it birthed admiration for such pulchritude.
Her slave struggled to rise to his knees, cleaned up the mess, rose with ungraceful difficulty to his feet, and left the Bridge.
Andromache turned her attention back to the viewscreen and smiled a cruel smile.
“Hold this position, Melanippe. We will board the Klingons’ vessel from here.”
“Yes, Your Excellency.”
Silently, Warbird came to a stop near the underbelly of the Battlecruiser.
Pressing a button on the arm of her command chair, Andromache issued a ship-wide command: “To the transporter chamber, sisters. It is time for the kill.”
As one, most of the 504 warriors obeyed her command, save for those who must remain behind for the smooth function of the starcraft. Even had they been reluctant, none would have dared disobey. The penalty would have been excruciating.
Unlike vehicles of the Federation, the Klingon Empire, or the Romulan Star Empire, the transporter chamber of Warbird was so large it could accommodate all the ship’s crew complement at once, that they would be able to maintain the element of surprise in their attacks. The huge transporter could be operated from the Bridge, and it was Melanippe who controlled it while most of the others went into battle on the enemy craft.
The hum of transporter engines rose, and 480 warrior maidens vanished from the chamber.

"Ye did well, Lieutenant. Continue on with your normal duties."
Coordinates were given in the message, which TJ had Keon Rosewall feed into the ship's computers and then said, "Take us t' those coordinates, Mr. Rosewall. Maximum warp."
TJ was excited. At last he would come face-to-face with his Amazons!
"Mr. O'Connor, ye have th' command," he said as he rose from his chair and went to his quarters. "Call me when we are approachin' those coordinates."

Corridors of the Klingon Vessel >>>
The warriors did not materialize in the same area, however, but were split into groups of 20 throughout the enemy vessel.
Many Klingons there were who were surprised at their appearance, and, as a result of that surprise, waited an instant too long, paying for that hesitancy with their lives. Like a tsunami the Themiscryans marched through the corridors of the battlecruiser, spreading death everywhere like a plague, sparing no one.
One Klingon security officer leveled his disruptor toward a contingent of Amazons, fired, and was shocked as his weapon had no effect upon the angels of death that marched through the Klingon ship. The blue glow around them had absorbed the energy of the disruptor and fed it into the shields carried by the Amazon warriors who had been fired upon. Antiope the Themiscryan turned her attention to him, pointing her shield in his direction.
Suddenly, from the dome in the center of the shield came a brilliant red beam that struck the Klingon, who screamed in agony and fell to the deck, dead. At the same time, Myrina, Antiope’s friend, swung her battle-ax, planting it into the neck of her opponent.
Klingon Bridge >>>
Nor were the warriors who materialized on the Bridge of the D-7 Battlecruiser any less efficient. Within moments, the Amazons had seized control of the Bridge, sparing only those that had not resisted them. By the time it was over, only seven Klingons yet breathed.
The few survivors were forced to their knees before Andromache, whose haughty look revealed the contempt she felt toward these her victims.
“I am going to allow you to survive this battle,” she said. “There is only one reason I permit you to maintain your worthless lives, and that is to deliver a message to your people for me. See that you obey my charge, or what has happened here will befall your entire homeworld.
“I am Andromache, War Queen of Themiscrya. Tell them to tremble at my name!”
On her wrist a beeping sounded. She did not mind – her victory speech had ended. Pressing a button on the wrist gauntlet she wore, she spoke into the device.
“Yes, what is it?”
“Forgive me, Your Majesty, but we have just received news via an intercepted radio transmission that a vehicle from the Federation of Planets has been dispatched with the ridiculous purpose of stopping us.”
Andromache scowled. Foolish Federation! How dare they think they could stop Themiscryan women!? Well, if it was a battle they wanted, she would accommodate them.
“What is the name of this foolish vehicle?” asked the Queen.
There was only a moment’s hesitancy before the voice from the gauntlet on Andromache’s wrist answered.
“They call themselves ”the Hepta”...

With a roar of fury, Andromache commanded, "Themiscryans, back to Warbird!" and the entire horde of Amazons vanished from the crippled battlecruiser.
Bridge of the Amazonian starcraft >>>
The War Queen stormed onto the Bridge, took her seat, and commanded the astrogator, "Drive us to the Federation vehicle, Melanippe. Cloak us as we approach."
"Yes, my Queen," she said, then sailed her hand over the controls of her console.
And Warbird responded, speeding toward Hepta, as she faded from sight.

Katie left sickbay relieved the exam was over. She had to shake off the uncomfortable feeling of being in there. It had been years since her grandmother died but the last memory she had was of her grandmother slowly slipping into death in front of Katie. Katie's mother always told her that 'grandma was sleeping'. She believed it until she was old enough to understand life and death. Since that day she had a fear of going to see a doctor.
After a quick turbo lift ride Katie was back on the bridge. She noticed that Lt. Johnson was busy working at their station. Katie was about to report back to her when she noticed Paikea reading at his station. She approached him quietly and in one swift move she gave him a quick tickle.
"Hey there stud." She said smiling.
<Paikea>
"How about when we get off duty you take me out to dinner?" She asked.
"Sounds good. I have to get back to my instructor, but I can't wait for tonight. Bye Cowboy." Katie said waving as she walked away.
"Sorry everything took so long Lieutenant."

"Acknowledged Captain," James said and tookhis seat in the Captain's chair while the Captain left the Bridge. James wasn't all too happy with the Captain coming face to face with hostile aliens, but there was always this little annoying sub-paragraph called Captain's prerogative and there was basically nothing he could do about it.
The Bridge door hissed open and a familiar figure entered the Bridge. James turned around. "Doug!" Lieutenant Colonel Douglas MacHeath smiled in return. "How are ya?" James asked enthusiastically. MacHeath's smile widened even more. "Awesome Commander, finally up and running again." It had taken MacHeath weeks to fully recover from the Imperialist attack. He had been brutally attacked and knocked out in his own quarters by a force of alien intruders. "Where are my Cadets? I heard there were at least two Marine Cadets aboard this time" "Your Cadets are in the holodeck training for possible Amazon encounters. MacHeath's eyes started to twinkle. "Amazones eh......" James looked at him. "Now now Colonel, don't get your hopes up, they're........." At that moment, the helm intervened. "Excuse me sirs, but we're approaching the designated coordinates." "Acknowledged," James answered and tapped his commbadge. "Captain, O'Connor here. We've reached the coordinates, please report to the Bridge."
Just seconds later, Captain Edwards enetered the Bridge and had just welcomed MacHeath back to active service when there was a load bang on the Bridge. Blue smoke filled the area and suddenly, Captain Edwards vanished in a greenish haze of an unknown radiation type. James was stunned, but MacHeath immediately ran to the Tactical console. "Red alert!"
Off: A big thank you to Commander McCormick for keeping the Marines and Engineers occupied!

James had recovered from his momentary shock. "Engineering, I want full sensor sweeps on all frequencies. I need an analysis of whatever it was that took the Captain and I want it yesterday!," he said before he started pushing buttons on the consoles of the Captain's chair. Behind him, Security and Marines entered the Bridge in quick succession.

Paikea was only doing one thing, and that was reading. He couldn't believe it, his instructors still had not returned from the science lab, but that was okay. Paikea was now well versed in the Amazon mythos. Then out of no where Paikea felt someone tickling him. He at first was afraid, but then realized that is could only be Paikea.
"Hey there stud." She said smiling. Paikea quickly stopped reading and turned to Katie. She looked good in a Starfleet uniform. It was strange that he hadn't really ever seen her in one. The cadets uniforms on the base are different than the ones they are wearing today. Paikea wanted to hug Katie right there, but knew that it was unappropriate and held himself back.
"So how is you first day been?" Paikea asked.
<Tag Katie>
"How about when we get off duty you take me out to dinner and I'll tell you?" She asked.
"Yeah of course," Paikea said as he quickly gave her a kiss on the cheek as he stood up to get to his other console. Katie quickly left and Paikea went back to work.
A little bit later, Paikea heard Commander McCormick report that there was a message for the Captain. The mood quickly changed on the bridge. It seemed people knew that something big had happened, and surley enough a couple seconds later they changed course. Captain Edwards quickly went into his ready room and everything started to quicken. Paikea made sure that all systems were running at 100%. In a couple of minutes the Hepta reached the cooridnates that Cadet Rosewall had been given.
"Captain, O'Connor. We've reached the coordinates, please report to the Bridge." Once the Captain came onto the bridge and talked to the Marine instructor the Hepta unexpectly shook hard. Then a green array and the next moment he was not there anymore.
"Red alert!"
As the claxon's went at full blast orders were given to the marines, engineering, and science officers. Paikea quickly started to do what he was ordered to do. Luckly for them he had activated detailed scans on the bridge a few minutes before hand. The green array that had taken Captain Edwards from where he stood seemed to be made up of a variation of Beta radiation. It seemed that it worked as a weapon and a transporter.
"Computer runn a Level 10 scan on the green array beam that hit the Hepta a couple of minutes ago," Paikea said as he heard a couple marines and security personal ran in. After them his instructors quickly came in and started to do what they did best.

Cyle was in the middle of a cross swing from his blade, when he heard the Red Alert sirens whirling, Someone in the holodeck ordered the program shut down, and together he and William Hunter ran to the bridge.
"Cadet 4th Class William Hunter and Cyle Johnson reporting in for duty, Sir." Cyle looked over at William, giving him a ' who said you can report me in?" look of sheer dislike.
"Cadet 4th class Cyle Johnson, reporting as ordered sir"
" Yes, he already said that" He heard an instructor say, he could only guess it was the Marine instructor, and decided to hold his tongue.

"Welcome back Cadet." Lieutenant Johnson said.
"Thank you." Katie replied sounding perky.
Katie noticed her instructor gave her a quick look of confusion about her more an energetic response. Katie stood listening to her instructor as she continued to teach her new and wonderful things about the Operation's station. She has caught herself twice already looking in the direction of Paikea and dreaming about the dinner date to come.
"Cadet? Hello?" Lt. Johnson asked.
"Oh, sorry. I just..." Katie didn't finish.
She noticed Lt. Johnson looked over her shoulder toward the direction Katie happened to be starring off.
"You have got to stay focused Cadet." She warned.
"I will, sorry." Katie said feeling embarrassed.
Katie and Lt. Johnson were deep into their instruction when they saw a blast of green light out of the corner of their eyes. They both turned to watch as their Captain vanished from the bridge. Lt. Johnson went right to work trying to figure out what had happened to the Captain. Katie felt this was no time for a Cadet to try and do the work of a trained officer so she just stood silently watching over her instructor.

"Red alert!" MacHeath yelled as the red alert sirens begain wailing. "Security breach! Security on full alert, Commander Chan to the Bridge! ..." MacHeath raised shields and weapons and started scanning the area. As the red alert warning system sounded, Xin-Ling dashed out of the Tactical and Security office at a dead run toward the Bridge of the Hepta. Slapping her palm against the corridor at the turbolift, she impatiently waited for what seemed, to her, to be hours, but in reality was only a few seconds.
With a whoosh! the turbolift door opened and the Asian Warrior darted inside.
"Bridge!" she said, and within moments was there.
Another whoosh! accompanied the door of the Bridge opening, and she stepped onto the Command Center of the ship.
"What happened?" she asked. Then, looking around, she noticed something wrong.
"Where is Captain?" she questioned, her face twisted slightly into a frown.

A groan escaped from his lips as he lifted himself up from ... where? ...
For a few seconds he was disoriented. He had no idea where he was, or what had happened. His eyes pressed tightly shut and his hand went to the back of his head as he winced in pain. How long he had been unconscious, he had no idea.
With a struggle, he opened his eyes again, and saw nothing. It was near to pitch dark where he was. His mind went back to his captivity among the Breen when he was a raw cadet, and the similarity to that incident left a sinking feeling in his stomach.
As his eyes adjusted to the nearly nonexistent level of light in wherever it was he was being kept, he crawled along the floor until he found the bulkhead – or was it a wall? – and raised himself to his feet. Sliding the palms of his hands along the wall, he finally found a door and, trying to open it, was unsuccessful.
"Now why might it be I'm not surprised?" he told himself. A shiver went through his body at the parallel between his present situation and the Breen Incident from his cadet days. Memories of beatings at the hands of the Breen now haunted him, and were transferred upon ... just who – or what – were his captors this time?
He began trying to force the door, and finally to beat upon it.
Nothing cooperated. TJ remained imprisoned, and after a few minutes pounding on the locked door, finally gave up and sat on the floor – or was it the ground?

Luckily, William and Penfold had been nearing the Bridge when the alarms sounded, and (arriving just before the Captain was beamed away) had been able to get a brief glimpse at the Captain's destination on their sensors.
He'd been beamed to a point in space alarmingly close to the ship's port side, where a cloaked ship must have been. How the ship had managed to transport the Captain away without using known transporter technology, and without breaking their cloak, was beyond William's comprehension. As far as William knew, no one in the Federation had ever created such a system. From the meager readings the science team possesed, William could infer that the Captain was beamed away at a speed three times greater than a Federation transporter.
"Penfold, start trying to find that ship that got the Captain," ordered William. "Paikea, run another scan over Penfold's, and make sure you two arn't running one at the same frequency. I'm going to find out what sort of transportation device was used." William already had a tricorder out and was sweeping the Bridge, hoping to find something that would give a hint as to how the alien transporters were used. He planned to check the ship's internal sensors, as well.

"Paikea, run another scan over Penfold's, and make sure you two arn't running one at the same frequency. I'm going to find out what sort of transportation device was used." William said.
"Aye sir," Paikea said as he quickly went to the auxillary science station.
"Commander Penfold what frequency are you running?" Paikea asked remembering what Commander Ford had just told him.
"I'm running a frequency of 3.25 hrtz cadet," Commander Penfold said. Paikea nodded and started to work. Paikea decided to run a scan on the other side of the spectrum. It was a complicated scan, but Paikea would see it through.
Paikea saw that Commander Ford was still circling the brdige and the area where the beam had taken the Captain. It amazed Paikea that anyone in the Alpha quadrant or even the Beta quadrant had technology more advanced than the Federation.
That thought didn't let Paikea rest. As he was still running the scan on the beam, he decided to check the sensor logs of the ship. There had to be something there. A ship couldn't just be that close and the sensor not pick it up. To Paikea's dismay, it seemed that way. There was nothing there, not even a blimp.
"Who did this?" Paikea asked no one in particular. He then thought of the mission that they had been assigned to. He knew that the Amazon women would be around this sector, but he didn't think they would have that type of technology.
"Commander's do you think that it could be the Amazons?" Paikea asked a bit loudly. Paikea automatically knew that everyone on the bridge had heard.

Suddenly, light flooded into the chamber where TJ had been imprisoned. It came from a hatchway about 23 meters distant, where a tall feminine figure, muscular yet womanly, stood silhouetted there.
Her hand passed the hatchway, describing an arc in the air, and in response, the lights turned up, and for the first time – once his eyes readjusted to the brightness – TJ could see where he was being kept. It was a cell about 12.5 square meters in size, and, unlike modern detainment units, held the prisoner in by means of old-fashioned iron bars.
Cyrene, the woman who had entered, strode toward the captive Irishman and regarded him with a disdainful look.
“And you are the one who thought to stop the Themiscryans?” she laughed with a haughty glare. “You are fit only to serve as the court fool in the palace of our queen!”
TJ rankled at this, but noting the clothing the woman wore, he bit his tongue, thinking it better to hold his peace in the hopes of gaining diplomatic ground with this ... interesting female. He wondered to himself if this could be an actual Amazon.
The Irishman did his best, and though you would have sworn he had kissed the Blarney Stone repeatedly, the woman was immune to his attempts at charm. Each time he endeavored to establish a friendly tone with the truculent warrior woman, his attempts were shot down.
Finally, the warrior unsheathed a long blade and brandished it toward the Starfleet captain.
“Enough of this!” Cyrene exploded. “I grow weary of your senseless male prattle! You think you can open your mouth and lead us down the paths of your flowery words – I tell you, you waste your time, and mine!
“Count yourself fortunate, male, that Queen Andromache has commanded you to be kept alive, at least until we reach our destination. If it had been my decision, my blade would be feasting on your blood long ago!
“You should be giving thanks to Artemis you are yet alive!”
And with this, Cyrene stormed out, and TJ once again sat on the deck. He had met his Amazons. Whether they were descendants of the Asiatic Amazons or not made little difference at this point. They were fascinating.
So was a black widow.
Silently, Captain Edwards lifted his face, and prayed.
