Alex took her bag into her quarters and looked around happy to be back home. She smiled and set up her stuff. She was planning to relax a little before heading for the bridge and duty. She sat down with a padd when a message came in about a briefing in two hours. She heard the chime, and invited the person to come in. She noticed the captain, and stood.
"Hello, sir, good to see you again. To what do I owe this unexpected pleasure?" She said as they both sat down.
"You want me to what? Isn't it a bit soon for me to lead briefings?" she said hoping he would change his mind.

Alex was busy looking up who was to be going out on this voyage when she reached the bridge. She went into the briefing room hoping to get there early enough, and sighed when she noticed no one had showed up yet. She remembered the announcement had been made for, and noticed it was twenty minutes until then.
She wondered why the captain had decided to let her do the briefing, but she would never ask. She sat down in her chair, and looked over the mission.
After everyone had arrived and was seated, Alex took another drink of her water.
"Welcome aboard, it is good to see some old faces as well as the new," she started, and brought up a picture of an orange planet. She was about to continue when she noticed the Captain's wife came in late. She noticed all members turned their attention to her. Alex thought she saw the captain scowl.
"Is there something we can do for you?" Alex said not liking that Polly interrupted the meeting.

"I see, well then take a seat so we can continue. This is Rantous Nine, where a conference will be held. We are to go there and provide security for the Federation members who will be attending. We will leave within the hour. Are there any questions?" Alex said, hoping to make this as fast and painless as possible. She was nervous, and hoped it didn't show.

Once the questions were done, the group was dismissed. Alex stayed behind hoping to collect her nerves. She didn't notice if anyone else was in the room still, and she closed her eyes for a minute. She heard a voice, and was startled by it.
"I didn't realize anyone was still here. I was just leaving now," she said and went onto the bridge. Alex sat in her chair hoping they would be able to get underway soon enough.

"Is there something we can do for you?"
"Since I am going to be along for the ride as was ordered, I thought perhaps I could offer to help out somewhere." The 18-year old smiled pleasantly at the senior staff. "You may not like me for my past actions, and I am not asking you to. However seeing as you are rather short on staff, I thought you could use my help. I do have skills that may be useful."
"I see, well then take a seat so we can continue. This is Rantous Nine, where a conference will be held. We are to go there and provide security for the Federation members who will be attending. We will leave within the hour. Are there any questions?"
Polly took one of the vacant seats, somewhat away from the instructors and far away from TJ. Instead, she sat down next to one of the cadets, who moved over somewhat uneasily as she sat. "Hello," she whispered at her neighbour, then thought of what the FO just had said. "Which species will be attending?" Polly spoke up, "will we need to take special needs into account while trying to keep an eye on them?"
After the briefing, Polly walked up to TJ in such way he could see her coming. "Captain, with your permission, perhaps I could make myself useful in engineering. I'd be out of your sight as I'm not on the bridge, and still earn my keep for being on this ship. I've also given a reasonable excuse to one of your senior staff for us not living together. I believe you may appreciate this excuse." She continued to explain the situation to her husband. "Not the truth, but not quite a lie either," Polly smiled, then quietly caressed his cheek.
She felt him flinch under her touch. "Please have dinner with me tonight? I know you like my cooking, and I promise I'll do my best on it." She grinned now. "And I'll make everything myself, no cheating."
(TJ)
As she turned to walk away, she nearly collided with a young man. "Sorry."

“Stop right there.” The redhead yelled as she deftly flicked her phaser out of its holster. The thief froze, looking into the barrel of her weapon. Her deep purple pupils were massively dilated as she looked on fiercely from behind the gun. The perpetrator was only feet away from the open door. He considered making a run for it, and checked his gaze between the woman and the hallway. “Give it back.” Xerin said sternly, taking another step towards him. He narrowed his eyes and barred his teeth. A low rumbling growl set up. The phaser was now pointed directly in his face, the security officer still trying to talk him down. The puppy wasn’t having any of it. He clamped the comm. badge even tighter between his tiny teeth and let out his most ferocious snarl. Xerin almost pulled the trigger by accident, she was laughing so hard.
Wolf hesitated, becoming less and less threatened by the phaser pointed in his face. With his tiny hackles raised he crouched on his hind legs before darting across the room and hid on the other side of the bed. Xerin lowered her weapon and stepped away from the door. It closed behind her. “You’re a menace to mankind you are.” She informed him, replacing her weapon and attempting to catch him by hand. He scurried away from her, clambering over the piles of as yet properly unpacked belongings scattered over the floor. Xerin wished she was tidier. Her mother had been very tidy. It was definitely her father she had inherited this habit from. Wolf seemed to be enjoying himself though. Maybe she would make mess a permanent feature for him.
She finally rescued her comm. badge and pinned it to her uniform. She wiped off the drool with her sleeve and wondered if anybody at the briefing would notice the teeth-marks. She added a mental note to her to-do list: Puppy training school. She hardly saw a soul on her way up to the briefing room, and certainly nobody that she recognised. The same could have been said for the room itself, because once inside she found herself staring at an array of unfamiliar faces. She chose a chair on an inconspicuous position on the far side of the table, and waited for things to kick off.
After a brief interruption by a woman whose name Xerin did not yet know, the ships first officer began to explain their mission outline. “This is Rantous Nine, where a conference will be held. We are to go there and provide security for the Federation members who will be attending. We will leave within the hour. Are there any questions?" Xerin felt a small wave of relief. Security. Now that sounded right up her street. Maybe this wasn’t going to be so bad after all. She took the opportunity to make her interest known right from the beginning. “Do we know how many Federation members will be attending?” She asked, already preparing details in her mind. She liked to think things through before she did them. She didn’t always do so correctly, and had been described as reckless on more than one occasion, but found that it kept her occupied.
When there were no more questions, the meeting disbanded. Having never been very forward in the introductions department, Xerin made her way to her station without the opportunity to speak to anyone. They all looked rather busy with their own consoles. She had not been behind the tactical console of a starship since her brief spell serving on board the Scavenger. She ran her hands over the side of the console, scanning the screen with her pinpoint eyesight. She decided to take a quick look around and familiarise herself with the systems before heading down to the security office to organise that end of things.

When the call for the briefing came, Jordan was running a simulation with Josh. The situation was Jordan was out of commission for whatever reason and crew members were coming in with radiation burns and various other injuries resulting with a small asteroid colliding with the ship. She ended the simulation and they walked up to the bridge together.
Jordan: You're doing very well. Ya think fast on your feet, somethin' quite often needed on a starfleet vessel.
She sat down in a seat and listened to Alex lead the briefing. She noticed that a number of the other senior staff members seemed to look at Polly like a coiled snake. She wondered what the young woman could have done to make herself so exiled from the rest of the staff but decided she'd figure it out later. She listened to the briefing and nodded. Seemed like a harmless enough mission, she only wished that it could have been something a little more exciting so that Josh could get some more experience thinking on her feet. She noticed a security officer across the table from herself and thought the officer looked just as...relieved about the mission as she was. When it ended, she got to her feet and watched Alex. She leaned over to Josh.
Jordan: I have an assignment for ya. I don't know much about the new senior staff and I figured I would start with our first officer. I'd like to just give her a quick physical. If ya need any help, I'll be in sickbay, runnin' a few diagnostics on the consoles.
She smiled and looking back over her shoulder, saw Polly seemingly trying to console TJ about something. Your turn in sickbay will come TJ, ya can't slip through my nets forever. she thought to herself. She heard Draco chirp in agreement and he communicated to her that he wanted to pop around the ship some more. Ya don't need my permission. He went between and she got into the turbolift. Once back in sickbay, she ran the scans and found that none of the consoles were going to explode unless someone decided to sabotage one of them. She called Draco back and he helped her to search around for the tools needed. They found them all and Jordan felt her gut relax...slightly. Draco pushed at something he was thinking about and Jordan took a deep breath and scowled at him. Please stop bringin' that subject up Draco. It's really startin' to aggravate me. He backed down but she knew better than to think he would give up on it.

"Hello, sir, good to see you again. To what do I owe this unexpected pleasure?" She said as they both sat down.
"You want me to what? Isn't it a bit soon for me to lead briefings?" she said hoping he would change his mind. "As Hepta's First Officer, 'tis your duty t' be prepared t' deliver such speeches, or t' replace me if I'm unable t' be functioning. Add t' this, 'tis not well I'm feelin' about th' last mission... an' thinkin' of visitin' Dr. Johnson... or, if she cannot be checkin' in, then perhaps Dr. Mackler.""Welcome aboard, it is good to see some old faces as well as the new," she started, and brought up a picture of an orange planet. She was about to continue when she noticed the Captain's wife came in late. She noticed all members turned their attention to her. Alex thought she saw the captain scowl. TJ had attempted to avoid showing his displeasure at Polly's appearance at the briefing... it brought back too many recent bitter memories. But it was his misfortune to be so open-faced, and try as he might, his success at an expressionless countenance was rarer than a supernova. Contrary to his desires, his face contorted to display the displeasure he was feeling. Even if Polly would show herself completely changed, it would take much time and effort to forgive her.
Moving his eyes from Polly, they set upon another attractive young woman... an ensign in the Science department, blonde and very attractive. TJ noticed the worried look on her face and wondered what was troubling her. Perhaps she, too, should make an appointment with Dr. Johnson, or whoever would replace her on this mission. ..."Captain, with your permission, perhaps I could make myself useful in engineering. I'd be out of your sight as I'm not on the bridge, and still earn my keep for being on this ship. TJ gave it some thought. He wasn't often down in Engineering, as he wasn't that mechanically inclined. Yes, he would definitely appreciate that. "Granted," he said.I've also given a reasonable excuse to one of your senior staff for us not living together. I believe you may appreciate this excuse." She continued to explain the situation to her husband. "Not the truth, but not quite a lie either," Though he would have preferred that Polly had been honest with the officer, he was indeed grateful that she had done as she said. He would have to recount a difficult time of his life far less frequently; he wanted to forget. "My thanks I give t' ye. I'll not be needin' t' speak of it, then," he said tersely. Polly smiled, then quietly caressed his cheek. She felt him flinch under her touch. "Please have dinner with me tonight? I know you like my cooking, and I promise I'll do my best on it." She grinned now. "And I'll make everything myself, no cheating." It was true. Polly was a phenomenal chef, and he did enjoy her artistry in the galley. And he did promise to spend time with her as his duties permitted, so, half-reluctantly, he agreed to join her for dinner.

Polly smiled again, her affection for the visibly uncomfortable captain evident. To those who knew what she'd done, it was clear she was trying very hard to make amends, and that it was known to her that it could take a very long while indeed to achieve that. "I'll see you at 1900 then, and if you've need of me, however unlikely that may be, I'll be in engineering familiarising myself with your magnificent ship."
Having been raised while traveling on a wide variety of starships, Polly had a reasonable amount of knowledge about engineering. She wasn't a fully trained engineer, but she knew enough to keep a ship from breaking down. As she entered engineering, several junior engineers backed away from her, clearing her way towards the assistant chief engineer.
"I've been given the authority to take charge here in engineering," she told the assistant. "I'm Polly Edwards."
The assistant gave her a hateful look. "I know who you are Mrs Edwards," he snapped, "and I'll let you know that while I'll fulfill my duties as your assistant, I'll not want anything to do with you outside my duty hours."
"Understandable," Polly answered neutrally, though it was clear her feelings were somewhat hurt. "What is your name? I didn't catch it during introductions."
The assistant stared at her, having fully embraced herself for one of the famous o'Shaserra tirades. "Lieutenant Crystal T'Pal Horn," she answered.
"Any relation to the infamous Captain Corran Horn?" Polly was amazed, the Horn family was quite well known for their achievements in engineering.
"He is my father," Crystal answered proudly, "so I'll hear no ill words from you about him!"
"Oh no! He's a legend, and if you're his daughter, then I can quite imagine how you ended up in engineering." Polly saw the Vulcanoid woman was starting to mellow towards her, and several minutes later they were sharing quiet jokes. It amazed her to see a Vulcanoid this emotional, but Crystal was half human and only a quarter Vulcan. With a Human and Romulan side to her, it was not surprising she chose to be more human than anything else. Yet only the slanted eyebrows and pointed ears gave away that she was something more than just Human.
"How about a tour of engineering?" Polly finally asked, "I'm knowledgeable, but hardly an expert. This is going to be a hands-on learning experience for me as well. I'd appreciate any assistance you can give me."
Crystal laughed, hooked her arm through that of the younger woman and started her tour. Polly smiled while fighting back a few tears, as today she seemed to have made the first friend in her life.

"A good morning to you, too, William," said Lt. Franz Holtz as William, yawning, walked into Science Lab One. "Still not used to our clocks, are you?"
William grumbled an unpleasant reply at the younger science officer. He had recently returned from a sabbatical on Mars Colony, and the time difference between that area on Mars and Stand Starfleet Time happened to be a little over five hours.
"No doubt your breifing went well," continued Lt. Holtz.
"Yes," replied William, nodding curtly. "By the way, one Mr. Finch will be joining us for the cruise. Please try to keep some form of respect apparent."
Franz grinned. "I'll try not to publically humiliate you, William. Or, I suppose, Commander Ford."
"That would be a good idea," said William passively as he ordered coffee from the replicator. "I just took a break from the Bridge - Lt. Sibelius hasn't had much Bridge time for a while - but I'll need to get back soon. Anything I need to know about?"
"Not science-related, no," said Franz, musing. "But I've heard tales of Dr. Mackler possibly doing physicals again."
William sputtered into his coffee. He coughed several times, then cleared his throat. "I, um, think she's probably busy with the newer officers here."
Franz looked at Williams left arm and the obviously artificial hand extending from the sleeve. "I wouldn't be so sure, William," he said, a grin spreading across his face.

K'ratak: Reported to the bridge and went straight to his station. Sombody had been there already and done the scans. As he checked his readings he noticed who ever had done the scans was not a cadet. They knew where to check and how to scan the whole ship even the area's not normaly scanned. Looking up at the commander and a little shocked to learn sombody had done this.
" Commander is there a nother tatical officer aboard and if so may I ask why have I done something to warrent a replacement so soon" <Tag Alex>

Alex took her seat and noticed the captain hadn't come out yet. She didn't move to take the chair, and noticed the new security officer was at her station. Alex remembered a report that needed her attention, and decided to read it. She stopped.
"Helm, as soon as we are ready and have clearance, depart," she said and then started to read after the helmsman said 'aye'. She heard the turbolift doors open, and she realized the security officer had left.
A bit later Alex heard the turbolift doors open, but she didn't look up. The report she was reading was dry, but the topic had her interest. Suddenly she was startled out of her thoughts and reading by a familiar voice. She put the padd down, stood, straightened her uniform, and headed for the commander.
"You haven't been replaced. Another officer has been brought in to aid with training cadets in security. Starfleet has noticed a number of cadets wishing to be Security officers. There is only one of you, and a ton of them. Therefore, another officer was brought in to aid in the number of cadets training. The other officer is also being trained to see how good of an instructor she can be. You have done nothing, other circumstances have changed. So, don't worry so much. Just do your job to the best of your ability," Alex said only loud enough for him to hear.
"Monitor the other instructor, but make sure she doesn't know what you are doing. If she discovers your activities, then she is up to par on her duties. We need to know what she can do for our security, and what she can teach the cadets. You are to aid in testing her. If a cadet has a question, let her try to answer it first. Don't mention any of this to her, even if she notices you monitoring her. Starfleet doesn't want her knowing what you now know. Its kinda like you get to play spy for us, this time," she said adding the last two words under her breath. She hoped this would unnerve him, and let him do his job. ~I wonder who he is working for. How else would he know about those pirates?~ Alex thought, not liking where this was heading.

Josh had gone to the meeting with her boss and had listened intently and decided that unless something went spectacularly wrong then the ship's Sickbay wouldn't have a great deal to do regarding the upcoming mission.
Her dreams of an easy life ended just as soon as Jordan told her that she was to start the Senior Officers Exams with the FO. Josh thought about it for most of the rest of the mission briefing and came up with various ways that she could persuade the FO down to Sickbay.
Deciding on using the most obvious first she waited behind after the meeting until everyone else had left and they were on their own.
The FO finally noticed her and asked why she was there. Josh simply smiled at her and decided to tell the truth. "I have been ordered to give you your Senior Officers Exam. I would be grateful if you would accompany me to Sickbay. We can get it over with for the next few months and that will be it done."
Simply waiting to see what the FO would say Josh started to marshall her next argument in case she needed it.

K'ratak: Listened as Commander Nikmud explained what was going and he was already not liking it to much.
"You haven't been replaced. Another officer has been brought in to aid with training cadets in security. Starfleet has noticed a number of cadets wishing to be Security officers. There is only one of you, and a ton of them. Therefore, another officer was brought in to aid in the number of cadets training. Nodding his head and trying to understand what was going on. He had his own idea's about what was happening. Thinking to himself she suspects me and doesn't have the proof she needs. Who's going to be watching who he wondered, He was going to have to be extra careful around Commander Cole she was not someone who would miss something. Worse yet she might detect the signals if she as good as I think she is.
Looking Nikmud in the eye's and smiling with a big wolfish grin" I understand Commander I will keep a close watch on her and make sure she's doing okay as for not getting caught that might be hard if she is as clever with her scans then she will know in time but I will try"
pausing for a moment making sure nobody could hear him. " I really enjoyed dinner and desert I hope its something that we can do again"
As the commander walked a way he started to pull the records for cole. It would be best if I stayed close to her to make sure she doesn't discover something that doesn't need to be known right now.

The routine scans on the bridge did not take long at all. Xerin found that the after all the console was not so foreign as it might have been. With her bridge duty completed, for now, she gained permission to leave and headed down toward the security office. It was located three decks down from the bridge, in an out-of-the-way corridor that had to be located using the ships computer as a map. Well I’m glad they made it easy to find… she thought as she stepped up in front of the doors. They shmmed open with that familiar hiss to reveal a rather dark and pokey room. Undeterred by first impressions Xerin stepped through, and almost immediately collided with something solid lying on the floor.
“Ow! Computer, lights – slowly.” She ordered. As instructed the computer gradually altered the lights so that the officer could see further into the room. It turned out that what she had bumped into was a small black crate about a foot square, that looked to have been dumped conveniently just inside the doorway. She quickly stooped down to try and open it but found it to be locked. She wasn’t surprised. Gingerly she pushed it aside with her foot so that it was no longer blocking the gangway, deciding it was safer to leave the inspection to another time. She clambered over a few more things as she made her way over to the desk, which was somewhat unhelpfully positioned at the far side of the room and located the swivel chair behind it.
She sat, and faced the door, realising just how much this reminded her of her own room. Wolf would like it in here… she thought with a grin, before wondering if Commander K’ratak would allow a puppy into the security office. Commander K’ratak. She had yet to meet the Hepta’s primary Tactical and Security officer, and wanted to be in the know before she did so. She quickly pulled up his file on the computer, reading the information that she was privy to. There was not a lot to look at. Again, it was unsurprising. She tapped her fingers on the dark brown tabletop. A Klingon. That wasn’t so good either – she tended to annoy Klingons.
Putting him to the back of her mind she rifled through the computer systems for something else: the list of cadet names. As the present assignment called primarily for security arrangements, she wanted to make sure they were all fit and ready. She wanted to use the time now to run a drill scenario, getting the cadets problem solving and working together. She was also aware that the Hepta had a phaser range located on deck twelve: it never hurt to have cadets that could shoot straight either. She planned to put an exercise together and then run it past K’ratak before she put it to the cadets. She was counting on his cooperation to execute it.
Having a brief plan logged in her mind, the redhead decided it was time to put it to the master. She vacated the chair and yawned as she did so. She stretched out her arms: her hands brushed the wall on both sides. They definitely needed a bigger officer now there were two of them on board. On the other side of the desk, having squeezed around it to get out, she said aloud, “Computer, locate Commander K’ratak”, and paused momentarily as the answer came. “Commander K’ratak is currently on the bridge.” It informed her as she continued her struggle over the assorted items on the floor. Oh terrific. she thought scathingly. Now I have to do my introductions in front of the whole crew…

K'ratak: Looked up from his console to see Cadet sharp exiting the turbo lift. He looked at him and Commander Nikmud not sure who he should report to. Smiling a little and remember his first time aboard a klingon battle cruiser. Looking over at the Cadet and wanting to help him along alittle. He motioned him over to have a quite word with him.
"Cadet Sharp just a remineder it is normal to report to the fist officer first so she knows your aboard after that you will assinged to your instructor. What section are you going into and I'll make sure somebody comes to get you when your done with Commander Nikmud."
" Dont worry to much the Commander does not bite." Then thinking alittle and wanting to get a laught " The Commander likes to be addressed as Alex now go report in"
He watched as the cadet went to report and checked on the location of Commander Cole it appeared she was on her way to him. This should be intersting to see how this is going to work. He had already pulled her service jacket and it was good she knew her job but he still wanted to get a feel for her to see how much of a challenge she was going to be.

Alex heard the turbolift doors open, but didn't look up. She figured if it was the captain he would have walked up to his seat wanting it immediately. She wondered who it was, since they hadn't come forward, she thought maybe it was just an officer coming onto duty.
A few minutes after, a man walked up to her and stood at attention. She couldn't believe her ears, and wondered where he had gotten such nerve.
"Cadet, I belive you would address me as Commander Nikmud and not Alex," she said and thought she heard some laughter, and realized what was going on. "I will overlook it this time. I believe Commander Xerin Cole is not on the bridge just yet. Take over the security station for now, and tell the Klingon I wish to address him, dismissed," she said, and watched him go. Seconds later she was joined by the Klingon, who sat in her seat.
"Don't ruin that chair again. I just had it fixed. By the way, I think there are several duties I could use for punishment, if I find such a prank again. You want a laugh, make sure the cadet doesn't get it for you. They are here not to amuse us, but to learn," she said being a little strict. She found the prank refreshing, but didn't like the chance of the cadet getting into trouble.
"Go to your cadet, he probably needs you for now," she said and returned to her reading dismissing him.

K'ratak: Couldn't hold the laugh in and he made sure Nikmud heard him so she would know who put him up to it. He had no intention of the cadet taking the heat for it. He watched as the cadet came over to assume his station.
" Sorry Cadet sharp it was in good fun I would never have aloud you to get into trouble for it. I would have owne up to it and taken the heat. I thought it would have been funny sorry for any trouble it caused. I will be one of your instructors on this mission, Start scanning the ship and preparing the security patrols until the commander is done with me." <Tag Sharp>
" Oh before I forget when Commander Cole gets here let her know I would like to talk to her please"
Walking donw to the center seat and taking her seat and making a show of it he listened as she came down on him.
Looking her in the eye's he remembered why he was drawn to her so much there was a fire in them that couldn't be put out.
" Commander trust me when I say I would never have allowed for it to go that far. After our last mission I thought you could use a laugh he dont laugh enough in my book. Trust me when I say any pranks in the future will not involve a cadet. Just between us now it was alittle funny dont you think the look on your face was lets say priceless" <Tag Nikmud>
"Go to your cadet, he probably needs you for now," she said and returned to her reading dismissing him.
Walking back to his station to check on the progress of his cadet.
" Mr. Sharp report what is our status?" <Tag Sharp>

Not getting anywhere with the FO on her first try and watching her walk out the door back to the bridge Josh did the only thing she could and followed her there.
To be honest Josh was almost side tracked once she got to the bridge. The main view screen allowed her a window to something that most medical personell rarely saw and it took her some time to drag her mind back to her purpose since it took her breathe away, but drag her mind back she did and watching the FO sit down in the centre seat and sliding quietly into the left hand seat Josh smiled across at the FO.
"I do understand that you are busy, but, as you know Command Staff medicals need to be riun on a regular basis. You, more than anyone should appreciate this. Your's is due now. Would you care to make an appointment or should I just make one for you and simply inform you.
"I understand that your time is limited, if you would prefer to make an appointment for your medical I understand. What patticular time would suit you?

OOC: Sorry Josh, I forgot about the physical when writing my last post. LOL
IC:
Alex sighed. One thing she hated was doctors breathing down her neck for a physical. She put the padd down, and looked at the woman, and shook her head before chuckling.
"You are one persistent woman. That's good, because you will need it. I am very busy right now with reports and such,” Alex said glad the cadet was learning what she needed for future physicals. She was about to return to her padd when Josh continued. She smiled, thinking about what she could be doing later instead of making an appointment.
“Alright, perhaps now is better than any other time. Who knows what I will be doing later. Let’s go to sickbay. K’ratak, you have the bridge until I return. Don’t blow up the ship,” she said teasing him a little before she left with the cadet taking her padd with her.
Alex waited until they were alone in the turbo lift. “Cadet, for future reference, you might be told time and time again that Command is too busy for a physical. Sometimes we forget our own health. Whatever you do, don’t forget to be persistent,” she said and smiled.
Later they entered sickbay together, and she went over to a biobed sitting on it. She placed her padd beside her. “Alright, let me know what you need of me,” she said submitting for the physical.

K'ratak: Whatched as the the first officer left to take a pyhiscal. He had to admit the cadet was good at pushing the issue. It was something he hoped she never lost senior staff tended to avoid them because they were busy all the time.
As the commander left he heard say take the bridge. Not want to pass on the chance he walked down to her seat and sat down making a big showing.
"I wont blow the ship up commander as for your seat you might want to have it fixed again when I'm done" Laughing alittle it was a joke that they shared.
OCC sorry for got to change Char wont happen again

Jordan turned as she heard the sickbay doors open and smiled when she saw Josh and Alex walk in and then had to hold back her laughter as Alex walked over to a biobed, sat down, and "gave herself over".
“Alright, let me know what you need of me,” she said submitting for the physical.
Jordan: I expected ya to give more fuss than this. I'm surprised you're just givin' in. Don't worry, this will be quick... and painless.
She picked up a scanner and told Draco to scope out any officers who would be resistant to the order of a physical. He chirped and disappeared. Jordan's eyes darted between the scanner and Alex's face as she asked a few questions.
Jordan: Before I start, is it all right by ya if I commentate to Josh while I perform the physical?
<tag: Alex>
Jordan: Ok then. So what trouble have ya been into lately Commander? Any broken bones, concussions, wounds, burns?
=Elsewhere= Draco popped into Science and overheard the conversation between Commander Ford and the lieutenant and tilted his head slightly to the side, curious as to why the commander would be averse to the idea of a physical. He flew down a little and perched on a console, then he saw the artificial hand sticking out from the uniform and squeaked. He immediately disappeared as the two looked over at him and he sent the mental message to Jordan. She added the name of William Ford to her mental list of people to call to sickbay for the physical exams and thought that exam would possibly go better without an audience so she moved him to the bottom of the list.

Inside the turbolift Xerin straightened out her uniform, rubbing down the creases with her hand. It had been a little while since she had served as a bridge officer, and she was correspondingly behind on her etiquette. When the doors opened she stepped out opposite the tactical station. It was manned not by a Klingon but instead by a young man that she did not recognise. He had not been at the briefing, which directed her to the assumption that he was one of the security cadets she and K’ratack would be working with this mission.
”Hello cadet…uhm…” She said, stepping up behind him and looking over what he was doing. Just some routine scans. Everything was looking in order. “Sharp.” He acknowledged her and filled in the gap in her greeting. “Cadet Sharp…” She said, liking the sound of it. “Welcome aboard. I’m Commander Cole, I’ll be assisting Commander K’ratak as tactical and security instructor this mission.”
It was obvious that Commander K’ratak wasn’t present at the tactical station on the bridge, but it wasn’t until Cadet Sharp directed her to the centre chair that she realised where he was. This was going to be even harder than she had first thought. The bridge seemed uncharacteristically quiet as she stepped up to speak to him. She wished that something would happen right at that moment that would involve a lot of attention being diverted elsewhere on the command deck. Either that, or some concerned passer by would just beam her up before she had a chance to mash her words. Neither scenario looked very imminent, so she took the plunge.
“Commander K’ratack” she addressed him, a lot more confidently than she felt. “Xerin Cole.” She added, and stretched out her hand for him to shake. That could have been her first mistake. She automatically assumed that Klingon’s shook hands. Thinking about it, it probably wasn’t a Klingon-type gesture. She needn’t have worried, K’ratak took it and introduced himself.
“I wanted to run something past you actually…” She began feverently, producing a PADD and thrusting it in his direction. He looked at it quickly, reading the outline for the drill scenario she had dreamed up. The theory was simple: since there were two of them, she put forward the suggestion that they split up. One of them was to disappear within the bowels of the ship and avoid detection. It was the job of the other, with the help of the cadets, to hunt them down. He finished reading it and watched her in silence. Xerin had never much liked silence. She didn’t know if he would go for it, but was hoping for a positive answer. So far he hadn’t said anything. She didn’t change her demeanour and waited with patience as he thought about it.

K'ratak: Looked up at Commander Cole taking her measure. He saw her hand sticking out to shake looking at her he smiled and laughed and shook her hand. He was trying to make sure she didn't get a good read on him he wanted to keep her on her toes and a little off balance to see how she would do. After her introduction he took the padd she handed him and read it.
He smiled he had to admit she was good and the drill was a good one after there last mission his cadet had discovered there were parts of the ship that couldn't be scanned. So having a cadet learn about this now would be a good idea. Looking back up at her and smiling he motioned to the Center seat to sit down. He was in command of the bridge and had made a habit of sitting in the first officer seat just to get her goat.
He saw that she didn't feel comfortable sitting in the captain chair but didn't let up until she sat down.
" Commander first things first dont be so worried about sitting in the captains chair you will find at times that you are on the bridge and in charge. I just like to give our first officer a hard time and take her seat she says I always break it and she has to get it fixed." Laughing alittle
" I wish you had been on our last mission your drill would have come in handy. My cadet discovered there were parts of the ship that couldn't be scanned. I like your plan its a good one." He kept looking at her hair and couldn't beleave how red it was it was good on her.
" Well this is your drill and I think you should run it. I will be the one that hides I have a few idea's and it will give you a chance to teach our cadet. Until this mission is over you will be in charge and the lead tatical and security officer. I will be your assisnt and a sounding board for yyou I will offer no advice unless you ask. I feel this way you will get a chance to teach and develope your own style. You dont need a babysitter if you did you wouldn't have gotten the post. As soon as I'm releaved from the bridge I will let you know when to begain. Until then Cadet Sharp is your's and you will be the one who finishes his trainning."
Looking at her again and trying to get a better feel for her.
" You plan is good keep the cadet sharp I would dare say there's klingon blood in you some where keep them on there toes and they will never let you down its good I like that. Why dont you go check on our cadet no your cadet and may sure he'll be ready for the task. Remember you are the senior officer now so if something comes up you and your cadet will need to respond I will cover for you when the time comes" <Tag Cole>

The shuttle ride was hell. Danny had been impatient for days. He had wanted to embark on the journey from Earth right away after his transfer came through, but he couldn't get a shuttle until four days after that joyful moment. Now, finally, the Hepta came into view. When the pilot had made the final requests, the shuttle entered the Hepta's shuttle bay.
Danny exited the shuttle and a nervous-looking young Ensign approached him. "Can I help you Sir?" Danny looked at him. "Are you the Deck Officer?" he asked. "Yes Sir." "Excellent! In that case, the name's Major Löhnen. I'm the new Operations Instructor. Requesting permission to come aboard."
The Deck Officer saluted. "Granted Sir. I'll show you to the Bridge." Danny shook his head. "No need Ensign, I've been here before, I think I can remember my way up there." With a nod of his head, Danny took his leave and proceeded to the turbolift. The shuttle ride might have been hell, but his trip to the Bridge was heaven. All the familiar sights, sounds and smells greeted him, each in their own peculiar way bringing back memories of the ship. He had been on Earth way too long. It was good to finally be out in space again.
The Bridge turbolift swooshed open. Danny looked around briefly before stepping onto the Bridge once more. Captain Edwards occupied the Captain's chair with Commander Nikmund by his side. The Bridge looked the same, but most of the officers were as yet unknown to him. Edwards looked around as the turbolift doors hissed shut again. Danny walked up to his Captain, cordially extending his hand. "Hello again Skipper, Major Danny Löhnen reporting for duty."
<TAG: Skipper>
Danny then turned to the Hepta's XO. They didn't know each other too well, so Danny was a bit more formal with her. Better safe then sorry, he thought, as he nodded in acknowledgement of her senior rank and position. "Commander Nikmund, It's been a while. Last time you saw me I still held the Marine Captain's rank and jumped in as temporary Marine Instructor. I'm your new Starship Operations Instructor this time Ma'am."
<TAG: Commander Nikmund>

"Your plan is good, keep the cadets sharp…I would dare say there's Klingon blood in you somewhere. Keep them on their toes and they will never let you down. Its good I like that. Why don’t you go check on our cadet, no, your cadet and make sure he'll be ready for the task. Remember you are the senior officer now so if something comes up you and your cadet will need to respond. I will cover for you when the time comes"
Xerin took this as a yes, although he was saying it in a rather roundabout fashion. “Thank you. I’ll finalise the plans and inform Cadet Sharp right away.” She said, standing up politely before returning to the tactical station. Cadet Sharp was just finishing off his scans. “Everything looking alright Cadet?” she asked cheerfully. From what she had seen before she had gone over to talk to Commander K’ratac he had been doing fine on his own. She just wanted to make sure he knew that.
With all systems running at optimum, Xerin started to explain their upcoming drill scenario to him. “Commander K’ratac is going to pose as an intruder on board the ship, starting in the shuttlebay and trying to make his way up to the bridge. It will be our job to find him and, uh, debilitate him so that he is not able to do so.” She informed him, gauging his reaction to the task, and hoping that he was going to like it. “We will be starting as soon as the Commander’s shift has ended.” She added, hoping to get him well prepared beforehand. He nodded, and she hoped that meant he was looking forward to it.
Once Sharp had completed all of his activities at the tactical station Xerin gave him another task. “As an aid in this exercise I would like you to become familiar with the security console and current parameters in place on the ship. I am quite sure that some of the systems will inconveniently malfunction once the Commander gets hold of them…” Obediently the young man moved over to the security console and began running his keen eyes over it. Xerin smiled, her gaze switching alternately between the cadet and the Commander occupying the first officers chair.
She couldn’t quite work out what to make of him. She had an almost natural aversion to Klingons, generally brought on by the fact that they were usually very angry with her for some reason…The Commander seemed different: he was being nice to her. That always made her suspicious. She made a mental note to watch how she behaved. She couldn’t be letting her guard down in front of him for the moment. Maybe that was why he had agreed to let her run the drill, so he could keep a close eye on her activities…

K'ratak: Watched as Commander Cole got up to head to her station to inform them of there new drill. He admired he work ethic it was good she was going to make a great instructor and tatical officer. Which would mean his job just got tough her. He knew there would be no hiding any signals from her. So he wouldn't be transmitting any not to mention she was already checking the system to try and figure out which ones he was going to hack.
Looking back and still thinking there was klingon blood in her some place. She would be a good friend to have and a bad one to cross he thought to him self. Still he had his codes safely buried in the computer undetected unless use. Trying to back to the bridge from the shuttle bay was not going to be easy by a long shot. He gave him self a 1 in 4 chance of making. Smiling well if she does catch me its going to be a work out for them that I promise.
Looking back at the main viewer and waiting for the Commander to return. He smiled this isn't going to be a boring mission after all.
