Soaringstar glared at Apollus with contempt. "Forgive me for this," she whispered so that S'reena could only hear. You must be joking!" she said loudly in mock amusement, "What kind of enertainment is an unfair fight? Me against a weak, pregnant woman and her," she continued, pointing to hannah, but still not taking her eyes off of Apollus, "to fight a frail and injured old man!"
With that she walked towards him in an intimidating sort of way about an arms length and concluded with venom in her voice, "I understand. You want us to finnish ourselves off or weaken us to the point of an easy victory for you and all the other weakling warriors. You fear us because we may take away the honor and glory you have "earned" through the years and reveal who you truely are... a coward and the murderer of the weak!
She looked into Apollus' eyes, growled and slapped his face with the force that could break his jaw...

The force of the blow stun his skin, and dislocated his jaw. He reached up, and pushed his jaw back into place, grunted as he did so.
Then, he stared down at this uncouth, yet fiery female. He reached his arm up, and struck her with the back of his forearm, knocking her to the ground.
"The fire of Mars burn strong within you!" he declared. "If you were not a slave, I would have you for my wife. But now, you must fight or die!" he roared.
"I am a solider in the Roman Legion!" he growled loudly to her, for all to hear. "I back down from no enemy, no challenge! I am the Champion of the Colisseum. I have killed the best fighters in all the Empire," he stated, continuing to stare her down. "Killing you would be a side-chore," he said, mockingly.
"Bring their weapons!" he roared to the servants at the entrance behind them.
To Soaringstar went a lance, helmet, and small shield.
To Hannah, an axe and small square shield
To Drew, a big square shield, a curved knife, and a helmet
And to S'reena, a curved sword, helmet and small round shield.
"Now," he growled so only the four competitors could hear. "You will fight, or die."

Hannah looked towards Drew who struggling to stand with the weight of the weapons. Hannah turned at looked and Soaringstar and they both agreed from the look their eyes what they were going to do.
Hannah lifted the axe and there was a cheer from the audience.
“I will not fight him,” she shouted to Apollus.
Hannah turned towards the gladiator next to her and ran the axe though his stomach. His hands moved to cover the wound and the gladiator feel to his knee. There were roars from the audience as they watched the bloodshed.
The gladiators moved in on the group weapons raised.

S'reena gazed at the weapons she was suddenly carrying, and she threw the sword aside. It was too large and too heavy for her. Instead, she drew her own blade, which she always carried with her as it was part of her heritage. She moved in to Hannah and stood beside her, ready to defend themselves.
"We should join Admiral Drew and Soaringstar," she whispered to the engineering cadet, "what do you suggest?"
She glanced over to where Soaringstar still stood before Drew, where the latter was still crouching in the sand, making no move to get up. S'reena was growing increasingly worried about the human commanding officer. He hadn't spoken since they had 'rescued' him, nor had he made any attempt to get to his feet.
"Something's wrong with Drew."

Tyrron walked into the holodeck, noticing that something is going on there he saw three women standing before him. And there was an male crouching on the ground. Tyrron was thinking hmm it looks like there hes been some sort of battle around here, mabey i can join or start a new one Tyrron smiled when he thought about this.
He walked up to the three girls, making them know that he is a proud man, and also proud of being able to test his skills once more.
And besides he needed the exercise he's becoming rusty
Tyrron, a tall Klingon of almost two meters in length, and quite strong and muscular due to a lot of training in his early years, He walked up to the woman who appeared to be Klingon. "I'm challenging you Klingon," he told her, as he stood towering over her, "
"Just me and you", "you may choose the weapons, we will fight till one of us surrenderd"

" Wait in line then," she replied tilting her head toward Apollus, " he's first."
She through aside the lance and drew her own knife and squared herself towards Apollus, " I believe it's time to show you how fiery I really am!" she exclaimed through gritted teeth.
With that, they clashed in battle, parrying, thrusting, lungeing, and slashing with their weapons. They were evenly matched; Apollus had his strength and size, but Soaringstar was quick and brave easily finding his weak spots.
It lasted only 20 minutes, but seemed like a life time to her. Each interchanging blows, one after the other. But then Soaringstar found an opening and jabbed her blade in his palm so fast that it made him drop his sword. With him being slightly stunned, she punched his stomach so hard, Apollus fell to his knees. She qiuckly placed the blade under his throat and roared, slightly out of breath, "Do you surrender?!"

Tyrron waited paitiently and observed the battle between soaringstar.
Damn this woman is fast, i will need to give everything i have, she is not to be underrestimated. She will be a fine oponent worthy i realy hope she wish to fight with the batleth. I gues she will understand why. Ooh Apollus keep your defense auch that's gonnan heard poor appolus he's nothing.
Hmm she is fast but i'm strong, bigger and i can have a couple of hits. But when i am able to hit her she might be able to go down with one hit, gues i will need to rely on my strenght then. Maybe if i am faster than hertyrron thaught
Maybe tyrron had a plan he was trying to she when she just moved and when she attacked.
Oke she is jumping forwards and backwards all the time, So what if i strike when she is going to jump forward againm yeah that should work. oke the match is almost over time to prepare my self.
Tyrron performed a little warm up, until the match between soaringstar and Apollus ended. Soaringstar was the winner, huh of course she's a klingon.

"Soarinstar nice match you would make a formidable opponent, are you ready to battle me or do you first need to catch your breath".
"One more thing should we try our skill with the batleth, the weapon of our honor full race Or are we aloud tho choose our own weapons, it's your decision you may choose"?
Tyrron looked proud when he talked about the batleth, He really hoped that she would agree with choosing you own weapon. He would use the weapon of he got from his farther, The batleth which has seen more war than someone has ever seen. It belonged to my granddad he gave it to my farther and my granddad got it from his farther and so it went through at least 5 generations.
And now it is in mine hand...
Tyrron is now awaiting soarinstars decision.

Still standing protectively over Drew, S'reena watched the scene unfold before them. To her horror, another gladiator entered the scene, who surprisingly introduced himself, and didn't seem too unfriendly when he challenged Soaringstar. Yet, the cadet ignored him, and continued engaging Apollus.
The Romulan first officer didn't dare look at first, but as the safety of the two cadets went before hers or that of Drew, she forced herself to watch, and prepared to jump in if necessary. Soaringstar seemed to be evenly matched to the much taller gladiator, and she seemed to be on the winning edge.
From the corner of her eyes, she saw the Klingon gladiator engage himself in a couple of warming up stretches. She didn't miss the fact that he was observing Soaringstar's fighting techniques, probably to use them against her. "Hannah, take care of the admiral," S'reena told the engineering cadet, who was also watching the fight with awe.
<Hannah>
Then S'reena stepped up to the Klingon, who was equal in size to Apollus. "You're leaving her alone," she told Tyrron, whom she didn't recognize as being the marine cadet. They hadn't met before, so she didn't know he was one of the cadets that was going out with the Hanson on training mission. She drew herself up to her full height (1.65 meters), hiding the discomfort she was experiencing from still protesting muscles in her abdomen and back. "Leave her alone," she repeated, blocking his way towards Soaringstar, as well as Hannah and Drew.
She only reached halfway up his chest, but the menacing look she shot him would have made any other adversary think twice about contradicting her. "You heard me, Klingon," she challenged, "you're not fighting her, nor anyone else. If you wish to live, leave now."

The blood within Apollus's veins boiled. Do I surrender?! he mentally screamed. The nerve of this woman, assuming just two such blows would bring her down.
But then, the appearance of this man with such a bumpy forehead, challenging her before their fight was even over! Such was only the product of inexperience, but the bravery was not. Who was this stranger? Apollus had never seen him before in the cages.
"I am not yet finished with her, lobster-head!" he roared at her challenger. He whipped a dagger out of leggings, and sliced into her wrist, causing her to drop the knife, and then elbowed her hard in the stomach, allowing himself the chance to tuck and roll away.
Protecting the cut hand in the roll, he picked up his sword with his uninjured hand. "Only a fool would assume that a Roman soldier can only wield a sword with one hand!"
He signaled to his attendants, who brought out more gear. A large shield went on his injured arm, and an axe went to his belt. A helmet was also placed on his head.
"Well then," the now more-armored Apollus declared, "If you both have such the craving for battle, then you will both take on me. And believe me when I say I am not at a disadvantage at two against one. Do you accept my challenge?" he exclaimed, staring them both down.

Tyrron looked at the girl who stood before him and try to threaten him he didn't recognize her as the commander, he was new here and they haven't met yet. "Are you treat hing me...? Tyrron laughed, I think you are, you made a mistake woman although you are really a brave girl." Tyrron grabbed her by here shoulders with two hands, he pulled her in the air and putted her gently back on the ground next to him. So that his way was free. From now he ignored the girl, thinking that she was not a tread to him. Suddenly it became interesting? Apollus spoke to him and the other Klingon. "Well then," the now more-armored Apollus declared, "If you both have such the craving for battle, then you will both take on me. And believe me when I say I am not at a disadvantage at two against one. Do you accept my challenge?" he exclaimed, staring them both down. Tyrron looked at apollus and said to the man. "Roman, you are either very brave or a fool if you think you can take on both me and the Klingon girl." Tyrron looked at Soarinstar now "what's your name girl?" He asked, "you are a great warrior and your skill with your blade is great." "Should we take on Apollus... and learn him a lesson." Tyrron looked at apollus again. "Why? You are already having trouble with one Klingon, so if you Battle two it would be even more difficult." Tyrron seems to think about something for a couple of seconds before he spoke again. "But I will take your challenge," And Tyrron grabbed his weapon the Bathlet. He looked at soarinstar now, "So shall we team up, and accept his challenge?"

Hannah nodded in response lifting her axe up ready. S’reena headed to where the other were, she attempted to resolve the situation with no results.
Hannah stood over Drew holding her axe tight, ready to use it again to defend herself and Drew. But the gladiator weren’t interested in them, the others were providing more than enough entertainment to keep the emperor happy.
She watched as the situation unfolded between the newly arrived Klingon, soaringstar and Appolus. Hannah wondering who this new arrival was and what side he was on. Hannah mind ran situation after situation though her head, stugglinh to think of a way she could help them. But there was nothing she could do, but wait.
She knelt down next to Drew. S’reena had tried several times to get a respond out of him, but he had said nothing. Hannah decided to try again.
“Captain, Captain Drew,” Hannah said to him. Not expecting a reply.

With both Tyrron and Soaringstar fighting Apollus they dispatched him quickly enough, though she had a feeling if two humans were his opponents, Apollus would have been the victor.
The young warrior who fought beside her was very skilled and would be a great ally or a terrible enemy.
Seeing that the program played itself out, she said, "End program," and looked at the klingon warrior with her intense blue eyes, "Well fought. Who are you?"

(OOC: That wasn't nearly as interesting a defeat of me as it could have been, so I'm gonna backpost and write Apollus's death And also, though Apollus doesn't know either of your names or what a Bat'leth is, I'll use the names so we don't get confused here.) Apollus stared at the odd-looking sword, held length-wise across the body, four points facing out along its length. He looked, and both of his opponents had the same unusual weapon. He abandoned his shield, and wrapped his injured hand in a bandage. He then picked up a second broadsword, and returned to his opponents. "Such an unusual weapon," he said, holding up his swords crossed in front of him. "I look forward to claiming them for my own when I kill you." Such a statement enraged the male "Klingon", whatever that was, and the fight commenced. They circled each other to begin with, which seemed to the Klingon's prefered opening. Tyrron charged him, bring the weapon down like a sword, but Apollus met it with his two swords, driving it back, nearly knocking it back into Tyrron's head. Soaringstar next made went for a strike, going as if to jab one of the points into his right side. He moved his swords over, seperately this time, bringing both blades head-on with her bat'leth. But the swipe was a diversion it seemed, because just as Apollus was pushing her bat'leth away, Tyrron took advantage of his unprotected left side, bringing the middle of it down on Apollus's shoulder. Apollus buckled under the blow, but kept on his feet, though stunned. Tyrron took advantage of the momentary falter, and struck Apollus in the head with the edge of the bat'leth. The blow rang through the helmet, and Apollus reeled from it. But he shook it off in a few seconds, and charged between his opponents. He raised his swords up on either side of him, taking the opportunity to bring down the swords on the wrists, cutting them. He went behind them, striking their backs as he past, cutting them slightly, but mainly knocking them forward. All three turned around, and were again facing each other, but Apollus quickly realized he had met his match. Here he was, facing two gladiators, each holding a weapon that took two swords to repel, but they both were attacking him at the same time. His confidence was quickly becoming his downfall. Although he managed to make cuts into their arms, legs, sides and even faces, they made far more damaging blows to him. He soon found himself falling defeated to the ground. His nose was broken, there were deep gashes on his arms and legs, and several of his ribs were broken. He lay there, finally defeated by these strangers. His pounding, yet weakening, heart slowly pushed the life-sustaining blood out of the gashes in his sides, carved into him by the superior weapons wielded by the Klingons. The life slowly drained out of him along with it. Tyrron stepped over him for the final, deadly blow, but to Apollus it seemed like Pluto, mythical god of the underworld, coming to claim his soul, as the tip of the bat'leth was brought down upon his chest, piercing through the armor and into his heart. Thus ended the glorious career of Apollus, soldier of the Roman Army and Champion of the Colisseum.

To soarinstar: "Thank you, you fought well yourself to, I am Tyrron, Tyrron Halrax, I am going to join the army. I want to be a squad leader or even higher as long as I am able to be on the battlefield to fight at the side of my men." "I don't seem to know you either, Would you like to tell me who you are?"

"I am Nicole Soaringstar. Hopefully we will get to fight together in the future," she replied with a smile. -He is handsome- she thought and then laughed -who knows, he might be worthy to pursue-
THen she turned to everyone and asked, "That was a great battle wasn't it?" and then looked at the admiral with concern, "Are you all right Admiral?"

OOC: Thanks, it took me about an hour to writ that. Yes, I'm well familiar with the bat'leth. It was how I was able to describe your attacks properly. The reason why I wrote it the way I did was that Apollus is a Roman soldier from 2 millenia ago. He doesn't know what a Klingon or bat'leth is. Nice simming with you on that one!

Hannah smiled at Soaringstar.
“It was an excellent battle,” Hannah said, “I enjoyed myself and you two are skilled warriors, I enjoyed watching you defeat the gladiator.”
She looked at Tyrron and back at Soaringstar, “I will feel safer knowing you two are part of the security on the Hanson.”
She turned to Tyrron looking up at the tall Klingon.
“I’m Hannah Stevenson, training in engineering,” she introduced, “It’s a pleasure to meet you.”
OCC: I enjoyed simming with you all and look forward to continuing simming with you on the Hanson, we should have a great mission together.
