Lorian was nervous. This was going to be his first class ever. He had never felt as nervous as he felt this moment. His class started in about ten minutes, but for him it was starting to feel like a couple of hours. This was going to be the first time that Starfleet would allow someone to teach the any subject relating to the Omega particle. Thanks to Seven of Nine, Lorian team was able to study more of its properties. His train of thought was broken when he realized that there was a cadet standing in front of him.
"Sorry cadet, my mind was elsewhere," Lorian said smiling weakly.
"Thats okay Commander, by the way I'm Cadet 1st Class Freddy Jones," the young cadet said.
"Well Mr. Jones please take your seat. Class will be starting in a few minutes," Lorian said. In the next few minutes more cadets and even some officer's came into the class. Lorian remembered Commordore One's words of encouragement and readied himself.
Paikea's Point of View
Paikea was running late. He was never late for anything in his life and it was going to turn out that he was going to be late for the one class he was looking forward to. Luckly for him the class had not started yet. Once he entered he was surprised that there were so many people there. He couldn't tell if he knew anyone or not, but that didn't matter.
"Cadet, will you please take a seat," Commander Smith said. Paikea's face turned red hot, he had just been singled out by the instructor of the class for not being in his seat. At that moment Paikea felt like he was at high school horsing around with his friends.
Lorian's Point of View
"Okay class settle down," Lorian said as the assortment of people kept on talking. In a matter of seconds there was only silence.
"I am Commander 1st Class Lorian Smith, the instructor for this course. Most of you have only heard things about the Omega Molecule from the now declassified hearings of the Voyager crew," Lorian started. That started a murmer in the class. It was true, almost none of them had ever heard of the Omega Molecule or the Omega Theory until about 7 years ago when the information was released to the general population.
"Quiet down please," Lorian pleaded with his class. Quickly they did as they were told. "Today and while your taking this course I will teach you almost everything about the Omega Molecule."
At that a hand was raised.
"Yes cadet?" Lorian asked.
"Simon Mann," the cadet said.
"Yes Mr. Mann?" Lorian asked again.
"Why aren't you going to teach us everything you know about the Omega Molecule?" Mann asked. This was greeted with some "yeah why not" and "at least we're learning something".
"Because that information is classified Mr. Mann," Lorian said not wanting to go into the ethichs of this subject. Another hand went up quickly after his answer.
"How destructive is the Omega?" a female cadet asked.
"And you are?" Lorian asked getting a bit frustrated.
"Ensign Faith Spiller," the ensign said.
"Well Ms. Spiller if you and everyone else give me the chance I will like to tell you, but let me teach the class," Lorian said. Then two of his junior instructors stepped foward with a mountains of PADD's.
"These two men are Lt. Jonathan Hookway and Lt. Claudius Peterson, they will be helping me out," Lorian said. As soon as the students got the PADD's they started reading it like it was the cure for immortality.
"As you can see the Omega molecule is a short-lived, highly unstable molecule, believed to be the most powerful substance in the known universe. Some Federation cosmologists theorize that Omega existed in nature at the instant of the Big Bang, when the universe as we know it was born." Lorian said.
This caused a flurry of questions from everywhere and the questions turned out to be those of great thought and scientific understanding.

Off: If anyone noticed I know probably three people will I used the names of the crew of the USS Seraph as NCP's. Also this is the first time I do this so everyone be gentle. And all opinions are welcome. BBy the way Lorian Smith was the very first character I ever made.
