Sonak sighed as she watched the Falconian leave her bridge. "Nothing will be passed on to starfleet," she assured Cornette, "any records made during this mission will be marked as classified. Only personnel with a security level granted to Commodore or above will have access to these records." Then she nodded towards the other commanding officer. "And of course special clearance will be granted to yourself and Commander Hawk, as well as any Falconian requesting to see these records."
The Vulcan wasn't sure how far she had to go to reassure the crew of the Majesty, she certainly hadn't expected them to be this closed about it. "Personally, I would be honoured to meet more people like Commander Hawk...if his people are anything like him, there is a lot we can learn from them. And I do not mean technologically. I meant personally."
She hissed as her baby kicked again, then cast Cornette an apologetic smile. "He does that a lot lately, this one is far more restless than my other children. I wonder if that is because he is part human." She paused a few seconds, seemingly in thought. "Or she, for that matter. Now that Doctor Hedin has decided to take up the offer at starfleet medical, and is taking Andrews with him, I am left without chief medical officer. Do you think yours would be willing to tell me the sex of my child?"
Of course, she could ask Jatan to do it, but then it wouldn't be a surprise to him anymore. And she could do it herself too, being a medical doctor, but she found no fun in scanning herself. Besides, it was far more practical to have someone else do it. "Then you can show me your vessel as well. I do not remember ever having been aboard the Majesty."

Commander Fox, why do you not beam over to the Majesty and seek out Commander Greenwood? He is your counterpart on the Majesty."
...
"I want to go to the Majesty." he said, the chief nodded "ok, Commander." he replied as Fox stepped on the platform.
...
"Computer, where is Commander Greenwood." Fox asked.
"Commander Greenwood is currently in the mess hall." came the reply. With that Fox went to the mess hall. As he entered it he looked around, seeing only a few people there, but only one wore a teal uniform. Fox walked to him "Commander Greenwood?" he asked.
Nik looked up "Yes?" he said. "I'm Commander Fox." Fox replied "Can I join your table?" Nik nodded and Fox sat down.
Nik didnt mean to sound so rude, afterall he was usually a very communicable person and would stop and chat to anyone. It was well he was having a few problems with the premise of this mission. He was beginning to find it hard not to let these feelings show, after all he was a starfleet officer and was required to do what his superiors told him... even if he didnt agree.
"Yes please do join me! Would you care for a drink? The water is nice, the coffee well is very nice but I shouldnt have too much of that the captain gets a little tetchy with me when im bouncy off the walls. Also the Beer is good." Nik said placing the mountain of PADD's to one side in an apologetic gesture to his new guest and collegue.
I hope you dont mind but Ive read up on you! It all looks good so far. Whats your take on this mission?
(Fox)
"I can understand that. We're just very protective of Mr Hawk, he is one of our crew, yes I know it sounds very clicky but we are a team and as you will know we've been through alot. And Hawk is a valued memeber of the crew and we dont want him or his people to be hurt. So as you can see I have a few moral and ethical problems with this mission, but it wont stop me doing my job no matter what my opinions are!

OFF: I feel I've been unfair to this mission. So what are we trying to accomplish with it? Finding Falconia, Atlantis, or proof of aliens on ancient Earth? According to the title this is about a book of the birds so I think we should get to the book and set a game plan. ON: Aarons: "Did I just get used for exposition!?" God of Plot: "Yeah I'd say so."

"I hope you dont mind but Ive read up on you! It all looks good so far. Whats your take on this mission?" Fox smiled and shook his head "Ofcourse i don't mind. If we're going to work together we better know a bit about eachother." he thought for a little while "I think i'll go for a coffee." he the said. "As for the mission..." there Fox paused a little while, looking at Nik "I'm not totally sure what we're gonna look for. But if the Falconians really lived on earth ages ago..." pauzing again "... wouldn't it be great to learn more about them?" "I can understand that. We're just very protective of Mr Hawk, he is one of our crew, yes I know it sounds very clicky but we are a team and as you will know we've been through alot. And Hawk is a valued memeber of the crew and we dont want him or his people to be hurt. So as you can see I have a few moral and ethical problems with this mission, but it wont stop me doing my job no matter what my opinions are!" Fox nodded and took a sip from his coffee. "I understand your concern and i'm sure Hawk concerned too about what we'll find. But in my opinion our goal isn't to find other falconians, but to learn about them. His people didn't leave earth for nothing, hiding from everyone else." Again Fox drank a bit of his coffee "But i agree, we have to be cautious with our findings."

"NANUS!"
The underling scrambled out of his alcove and stood at attention before the Prefect. His slight frame slightly shaking with the adrenaline rush from the shock.
"Yes sir!?" he asked nervously.
"Status of the fleet?" Prefect asked nonchalantly.
"We currently have four Raptor class cruisers en route to our position. As well in our formation is a handfull of carriers and scouts."
"Good."
A thought dawned suddenly on Nanus.
"Umm sir it's two ships. I would expect that two ships would be no match for our cruisers."
Prefect looked down at Nanus and raised an eyebrow.
"You don't know the humans like I do. They're wiley, smart and extremely lucky. When you were just a hatchling there was an incursion made by a human colony ship. Just a handful of humans laid waste to one of our outposts. I was one of the few who made it out alive," he pointed to a large scar running down his neck and ending at his elbow. "We returned a few years later and wiped the colony out. The Federation thought it was the Klingons. So we have reason to be cautious Nanus. If a handfull of colonists could ravage an outpost of warriors two battleships are quite the problem."
Nanus weighed what the Prefect was saying and nodded at the logic of what was being said. Besides who was he to say anything he was just a lowly sensor officer. Combat hadn't been his specialty in the fledgling academy.
"We're going to meet them head on. The Raptors will need to catch up with us in the field. Send word to the fleet for departure. Cloak and take us to the humans."
Nanus saluted and scurried off to the back of the command station.

Maverick was deep in thought when the Vulcan Tsalea came up from behind him and asks
“So what exactly are you looking for? If you don’t mind me asking.”
“Don’t know my self to be honest… we’re trying to find out a lil more about commander hawks people. From what I gathered in the briefing it seems that the hailed from earth and have some like to earths atlantian mythology”
“Maybe they were your atlantians?”
“It’s a possibility… but let’s not forget that the atlantians were said to have had a hand in the earth’s civilization…….. Am starting to think Atlantis is not the place to begin”
“So where do we begin?”
“Well with all of earth ancient civilizations, there might be some thing there that might give us some hints and clues to who they were.”
After a few hours of reading and researching maverick finally came up for some air. As he stretched his arms and massaged his neck a voice came in from the corner of the room.
“You are very much like you parents”
“What do you know of my parents?” trey snapped
“Well I know that they were brilliant scientist and that they…..”
“Who the hell are you and how do you know me” he asked cutting her off.
The Vulcan remained silent as maverick walked towards her. As she was about to answer the door slid open and two junior officers walked in. trey turned to face them then eyed Tsalea this is not over yet and could u pleas save my data I will be back to finish up after my shift is done. He then left the room and headed for the turbo lift and the bridge.

Using the information he obtained from the PADD he received from Dr. Hedrin, Byrne set about creating a program to link the avain DNA to the story he had heard from Hawk in the briefing room. His mind kept going back to the conversation he had with Commander Cornette, just hoping that his words sunk in. He has known Commander Hawk for many years and would NEVER violate the trust their friendship had developed. Searching the databases, he kept thinking about the legend surrounding the "Book of the Birds". If he could prove the existance of such a book, he may actually finally be able to find the truth behind all the stories that his grandfather had told him at bedtime. Atlantis was rumored to be the mecha and hub of all the technology and development of the planet Earth. Attaching the program to the computer in Astro-metrics, Byrne was able to create a holo-graphic image of the planet Earth and the surrounding star system at the time it was said that the original inhabitants occupied Easter Island. Then it hit him, the alignment of the stars were similar to the marks on the front of the "Book". And if this was true, it would explain the history provided by Commander Hawk about the many tribes / flocks that divided after the migration from Earth. Now he was convinced that all of this had transpired, now all he had to convince Commodore Sonak that this was worth it. Using a time line program, he was able to plot 2 directions that a ship of any size would have used to exit the Solar System back then. Ironically, both of the coordinates aimed them to near where their current location was. At least the Commodore would be happy, if that was possible for a Vulcan. With that, he contacted the bridge and gave the new settings.

Commodore Sonak suggested that she catch up on things with Commander Gaz, and Kedzie nodded, thinking that was probably a good idea. The Commodore then asked about Liz, but before Kedzie could respond, the Vesuvius' leader had to talk to Captain Cornette.
Kedzie looked around for Jamey, and saw him. “Hi,” she greeted him softly. “How have you been?”
Before she received a reply from him, her commbadge chirped. Kedzie's hand raised to answer it, and, with restraint, she avoided throwing it out the airlock. Which was probably for the best, if only because the nearest airlock was a few minutes walk away. “Kedzie here,” she said.
“This is Ensign Siquar.” a young man's voice reported over the comm line.
Kedzie didn't say anything. She didn't really have any clue who Ensign Siquar was or why he would be contacting her, and was hoping he would be able to explain without her having to ask any questions.
“There's a localized alarm going off, that appears to be based in your office.”
“Is anyone in there?” Kedzie asked.
“Yes, Commander Janeway.”
“Emergency transport her to sickbay,” Kedzie said, struggling to think quickly. “That's what the alarm means, that someone in my office is injured.”
“I see, sir.”
Kedzie almost laughed at the absurdity of anyone calling her sir. “Ensign, I'm a civilian. You're much a higher rank than me.”
“Um, sure, counselor,” the Ensign replied, seeming afraid without the comfort of the rank structure.
Kedzie nodded to herself, then turned back to Jamey. “Someone got injured in my office, therefore it's probably my fault. It was probably the picture frames were too sharp or something like that. Do you mind coming along?” Kedzie asked. “Seriously, I don't know how grave it is, but I should go look about it. If you want I can meet you later to discuss things though, if you want to stay on the Vesuvius.”

Liz felt herself beamed away, and she realized that someone was beaming her to sickbay. ~So they know I am injured. Well they can't be expecting everything.~ She thought, and put her phaser back under her chin.
Once in sickbay, she noticed the nurse was coming. "STAY BACK! I will DO it, DON'T PUSH ME INTO THIS!" Liz warned noticed the nurse stopped and was moving back a little more not liking this one bit.
Liz moved over to the wall opposite the door, and kept her back to the wall so no one could dare get her from behind. She no longer saw the nurse, and wondered where she disappeared to.
The nurse moved into the chief's office. =^=Trish we have a situation over here, and I can't get her to call down. I'm afraid if I call in security then it will get worse. Its the good doctor, and I think she has really lost it.=^=
Trish acknowldeged the nurse, and told her to calm down and wait for her to arrive. =^=Ked, this is Trish. We have a situation on the Majesty. Apparently its in sickbay, or the nurse wouldn't have been calling me. I suggest we get back over there before the doctor does something horrifying.=^=
Trish made it to the transporter room hoping to wait for the counsellor.

Nanus nervously tapped his foot on the deck as the elevator reached the lower level of the flagship. Prefect had ordered all hands below deck for a weapon fitting. Being a scanning officer he didn't ever feel the need to be outfitted with a weapon, it just wasn't natural. He stepped out of the lift and walked out into the armory.
"Next!" a grizzled old bird yelled at the line of stunned looking officers. She then passed a protective vest and side mount to each officer. Most seemed to be just passed fledge at least thats what they looked like to him. Too young to be on a starship, letalone be issued a firearm.
"Hey there Nanus!" one of the other line attendants called. She smiled as he walked over.
"Hey Doria," he sighed an leaned agianst the counter. He looked back at the line and shook his head. "So young."
"They seem to keep getting younger don't they. Here's you gear," she passed him a vest and a hand phaser, "You need to come visit more dear."
"Prefect has me tracking the Starfleet ships. Only time I have to myself is when I'm sleeping."
"Well be sure to keep in touch with the real world now and then hun," she smiled at him.
A klaxon sounded meaning all hands to their stations.
"Go, I'll see you when this is over," Doria smiled as he stepped back into the lift.
~~ Command deck~~
"Report!" Prefect demanded. Nanus scrambled out of the lift and got to his station before something got thrown at him.
"We're closing on the Starfleet vessels. We'll be in weapons range in 2 mins," he reported. ~why does he not ask anyone else on this command deck for information?~ Nanus wondered. Evidently others were wondering the same thing, a couple workers looked his direction and shrugged.
"Good. Weapon control, prepare to destabilize their warp field. When they've dropped from warp tell the fleet to surround them and drop cloak."
"Aye sir," came the reply.
"They're dropping out of warp. The fleet is moving into postion and we're dropping cloak."
"Open a comm channel to both vessels."
"Done," the comm officer reported. The image of both vessels captains appeared on his viewer.
"This is Prefect Aegypius of the Falconia Imperium. Identify your business in this sector."
One of the captains, a Vulcan, stepped foreward and spoke.

While using the computer in Astro-metrics, Byrne noticed some discrepancies in the data available. It almost seems like there was missing data in the starcharts. Wondering if this was deliberate, Byrne kept digging. After hitting many classified areas, he decided that it was time to call the Majesty's bluff.
All of the sudden, there was a security alert that almost knocked Byrne off hie seat. The long range sensors started registering a disturbance in the current sector. Once he righted himelf, a loud voice came the voice system. Rattled by the chirp in the voice, Byrne ran to the turbolift to get to th Bridge.
Upon arriving, Logan saw Commodore Sonak in front of the Main Viewer composing herself to present herself to the unknown being about to show themself on the screen. Darting to the Primary Engineering console, Byrne sent a communication to the Majesty to set an alternate course to box in the alien vessels.
After doing this, Byrne reset the Engineering core to allow it to shield the primary ship. When he saw the power readings reach maximum, he shunted the EPS to set everything up for SPM. Awaiting the order from the Commodore, Byrne sent the information obtained from the sensors about the vessels on the screen to the archived database he created.
And thruout this, his mind kept going back to what Hawk said. If we entered their system, why are they are they coming to us. They could have avoided us like before. Why come forth now and show themselves? This area was already deemed free domain and not allowed to be populated. Something got them bothered and he kept thinking maybe Hawk tipped them off. If so, there may be a real hornet's nest being stirred and the Vesuvius could be in clear danger. Most specifically, since requests being made by Byrne to research a Falconian existance on Earth.
Praying that this sect would not interefere with the location of the 'Book", Byrne checked the modulation of the message broacasted to the Vesuvius finding it Romulan in origin. Priming the EPS system to relay power to the weapons system, and once the power gauge hit optimum, he sent a relay message to the Majesty that the vessels approaching the ship were really Romulan cruisers disguising themselves as alien Falconian vessels. And that they need to make a standpoint opposite of the alien ships.

Sonak was starting to grow increasingly annoyed now. She had wanted to go aboard the Majesty to have 'the tour' aboard a ship belonging to her squad, but now it had to wait yet again when Logan reporting Romulan looking vessels had appeared on scanners. "Kanz, confirm identity," she ordered, glancing at Cornette. "It may be best if you return to your ship," she said, then walked up to Kanz. "I also need you to scan the majesty. Find their chief medical officer and beam her to my readyroom. With or without Majesty authorization, and whether she is on or off duty. I want to know why she skipped the briefing without proper cancellation."
At Kanz nod, Sonak knew Liz Janeway had been beamed to the readyroom. She leaned closer to Nick. "Keep an eye on those Romulans. Warn me if they show any sign of hostility. Be prepared to go to assault mode, and when we do, have two modules protect the Majesty."
Then she walked to her readyroom. "Doctor Janeway?" she inquired, now noticing how pityful the Klingon doctor looked. She reeled as strong emotions hit her, and Sonak had to do her best to block the constant emotional stream out. "Well I can see now why you were not at the briefing. Tell me...are you Klingon?"
Sonak walked closer. "If you are Klingon, why are you crying and holding a phaser set to kill to your chin? There is no honour in showing weakness, but perhaps I can help. The Vulcan commanding officer knew there was no danger from the phaser, security filters would have disabled the phaser. Of course, it could still be used as blunt hitting object, but she could handle a physical assault, even in her current condition.

The deck shuddered as the ship was forcably pulled from warp. Seconds later power flickered and red alert sounded. Nick bounded out of the turbolift and onto the bridge. Sonak was already in command of the situation, nothing kept the woman down. He caught something about Romulans as he passed L'Ola. Yet something didn't seem right.
"Keep an eye on those Romulans. Warn me if they show any sign of hostility. Be prepared to go to assault mode, and when we do, have two modules protect the Majesty."
He nodded in reply and looked at the screen. Something about the warbirds on screen wasn't sitting right. Then something clicked in his head.
"L'Ola do a scan of the database on Romulan weaponry and battle tactics. Have they ever used the tactic of knocking a ship out of warp?"
She looked at him surprised, the idea hadn't occured to her. Seconds later her search was complete.
"Umm not that I or the computer can find," She looked perplexed.
It was all matching up in his head. Everything he'd ever learned from his years of training was now starting to make sense. The tactics matched all the rumors.
He sat down in the center chair and looked at the readouts coming across his screen. It wasn't just one ship but 7 ships, quite the battlegroup. They were moving to flank the Vesuvius and Majesty.
"Incoming hail from the lead ship," L'Ola reported.
"Sonak to the bridge."
It'd been about an hour since she'd left to her ready room. She rushed back out and straightened her uniform.
"On screen," she told whomever.
On the screen appeared the bridge of something other than Romulan cruiser. Nicks eyes widened at the sight of another Falconian. This one was much older than Hawk and carried an air of nobility and power.
=/\=This is Prefect Aegypius of the Falconia Imperium. Identify your business in this sector.=/\=
Sonak stepped foreward boldly.
"I am Commodore Sonak Reckus of the Federation Starship Vesuvius."
=/\= We know who you are Vesuvius. What is your intent on entering our territory.=/\=
"We were unaware of any border. If you would like we could meet aboard our vessle and discuss this in person. Someone of your stature wouldn not just point a gun and threaten would he?"
That got the Prefect, he sat back and stroked his feathers. A glimmer in his eye showed he already had a plan laid out.
=/\= I accept. I will join you in one hour. Until then Commodore I suggest you stand your ships down.=/\=
The screen went dead and Sonak nodded for Red alert to be dropped. Nick sat there silently as Sonak walked back into her ready room. He frowned to himself and looked back at L'Ola who just shrugged and looked at the closed door of the Commodores ready room.

Liz noticed when her surroundings changed, and she cursed in both Klingon and Vulcan when she found she was in a Ready Room. Suddenly a woman came in, and spoke to her.
"I am not worthy to live! I am a curse to all that know me, and I deserve to die!" She said and closed her eyes before pressing the button. Nothing happened. Liz opened her eyes and looked at the phaser. She realized then that the woman had some sort of protection where the phaser was useless.
Liz tossed the phaser to the floor, and took out her d'k tahg ready to plunge it into her if need be. "You stay away from me! I don't like strange people, and I know we've never met. What is it you want from me? Why won't you people just leave me to die? I have no honor, I am not worthy of such a thing. Besides honor isn't everything, logic along with honor, yes, logic along with honor," Liz says and closes her eyes sitting down on the floor. She puts the d'k tahg on the floor before her and crosses her legs.
"Don't think I don't know where you are in this room. I know exactly where you are, and I know where everything is as well. Don't try to trick me. Who are you?" Liz said still in the same position without even as much of blinking.

The Briefing over Gypsy followed round on the tour, not so much listening to what was said about the ship when it came to points like engineering but more eyeing up the ship from a strategic point of view.
Now, the tour over Gypsy was beamed back to the Majesty. He immediatly went to the bridge and relieved the officer at the tactical console. After sending a message to the Vesuvius tactical officer both shared their data on the nearby region of space and the mission at hand. This was one of Gypsy's favorite times. The start of a mission. Anticipating the action to come. Never knowing what would lay ahead. It was one of the reasons he had signed on with this vessel when the chance came up.
He was in the process of going through his tactical checks when 2 things happened. First, an unauthorised transport which he traced to the Vesuvius and second, a Romulan ship appearing in front of the Starfleet ships. After a quick scan for the crew, he realised it was the CMO being beamed to the Vesuvius and not a potential saboteur.
As the Romulans decloaked Gypsy raised shields without waiting for an order. He tied the Majesty's viewer into that of the Vesuvius so the Majesty bridge crew could observe what was being said, and called for Captain Cornette to report to the majesty Bridge.
It turned out she was on the Vesuvius bridge and could not be beamed aboard at that time. She left him with orders to drop shields and stand down to yellow alert based on the conversation the commodore was having with the Romulans.
The order given Gypsy dropped shields but programmed the tactical computer to raise shields he moment any weapons were detected powering up on the Romulan ship.
With the shields down again, the Captain was safe to beam back across to the Majesty as soon as the chance came for her.

As Byrne saw the images of the spaceships on the Main Viewer, he almost dropped his jaw. Looking back at his sensors, he hand motioned to Commander Martins, suggesting that his response about the technology registered was the same on his screen. Hoping to save face in front of the Commodore, Bynre inched closer to the edge of the Viewer in the line of sight of Sonak, to assure her that there was something wrong and the sensors were registering what he declared on the Bridge. <TAG Sonak with request of the origin of the Falconian warp signature> Once he saw her acknowledgement, he headed for the LCARS board the read the power readings that hit the ship, and dropped them out of warp so fast. Somehow the aliens created some sort of warp field speed bump, knocking the ship out of warp. Checking the system, he noticed a power variance in the EPS system linking the 3 sections of the ship. "My God, their ship is matching the frequency of our EPS feed. If we don't relieve pressure soon, the ship may go into feedback and cause the weapons and flight system to crash". Tapping his commbadge, he relayed this information to Fox, asking him to monitor the stress levels on the EPS system in case they have to seperate. With that, he headed down to the engineering deck to follow the conversation being held up on the Bridge. Checking thew databases for the alien ships signature, urne realized that they actually exibihited a hollow, resonating structure. He figured that was what was causing the frequencies that were disrupting the EPS system on the Vesuvius. Sending a private written message to Commander Martins, Byrne told him that he would changing the frequency of the shileds to adjust for this problem, in case the Commodore had to fast talk to any readings the aliens may detect and not provoke a confrontation until things calmed down. <TAG Hawk for knowledge of the current threat>.

Fox and Nik were enjoying their chat and each other company. It was always nice chat with new people especially when they were his counterpart on a different ship. Nik was already picking up ideas, some of which he knew Kay would probably frown at but still let him try.
Well. in the midst of debating whether Artifical Intelligence would ever actually be able to take over from Human Intelligence as all the extreme alarmist theories predicted back in the 21st Century and continue to, this date. A security alert went off, followed by the Red Alert Alarm.
"Well I think thats the buzzer for end of time. Care to accompany me to the bridge to see what mayhem we've managed to get ourselves into this time?"

Trey sat at the helm, fingers and mind at the ready waiting for his commanding officer to give her commands. The young Ensign had been spaced out from his last mission and this was just the thing he was looking for to get him back in the game, a little confrontation would hit the sport just right. He needed to let off some steam and the way he felt at the moment he didn’t really care who it was at the receiving end. As commander Sonak talked with there attacker’s maverick seemed to become twitchier by the second. Sonak then headed to the briefing room, there was something going he couldn’t put his finger on it, but sonak did not look to happy when she left for the briefing room. Maverick then eyed one of the bridge staff who then responded with a clueless shrug.
Worry began to settle in the young ensign’s mind he got up off his seat and made his way to the room as he got close he could the sonaks voice through the closed door "If you are Klingon, why are you crying and holding a phaser set to kill to your chin? There is no honour in showing weakness, but perhaps I can help.” He stood there for a moment then made his way back to his post, sonak was a big girl and was more than capable of taking care of her self and defusing what ever situations that was going on in there.

Things kept getting better and better, and more complicated by the minute. First the ship was pulled out of warp, then they were approached by vessels that were Romulan in appearance, or so scanners indicated. These events were followed by a threeway conversation with what appeared to be an elder Falconian who would be joining them on the Vesuvius in fifty minutes.
Sonak stared at the other commanding officer, who looked equally surprised, then noticed Logan was flagging for her attention. She walked over to the engineering duty station. "Where did the warp trail of that vessel originate from commander," she querried, figuring that he'd been right about something being wrong about their signatures, "and why are they using Romulan vessels or Romulan masking signatures?"
(Logan)
She turned to Nick and Kaylana. "I am going to leave preparations for his reception in your hands," she stated, "I have something else to attend to." Sonak nodded towards her readyroom. "I have someone in there who is in need of someone to rant at, and who better than someone who may not respond? I am a trained counselor, so that is even better. Let me know when the prefect is ready to beam aboard, I shall meet you in the transporter room then."
(Nick/Kaylana)
Sonak turned and headed back to her readyroom, where Liz Janeway was still sitting on the floor, gazing at her ceremonial weapon. Sonak sat down on the floor before her, as comfortable as was possible, then reached for the Klingon/Vulcan doctor. "Doctor, get a hold of yourself," she suddenly snapped, "you are a doctor. I do not believe that you have no-one and that you are alone. I understand several of your crew have been trying to help you. The counselor, that young doctor, even the Trill science chief who seems terrified of you. And here you are, loathing in self-pity."
She took hold of the younger woman's jaw, forcing her to look up. "What has happened to you?" she demanded, ignoring her demands on who she was for now, "you are Klingon and you are Vulcan, act like it!" Sonak glared at the woman across her, her fury genuine. "Imagine what would happen if I were to act like you are now." ~which in fact I did~ she thought to herself, remembering her actions when her ship had crashed on Jona. "My ship would go into disarray. Yes, I am the commanding officer of this ship. You are in my readyroom aboard the USS Vesuvius, and for now you are staying here, until we have solved this. You are not allowed to leave this room, try it and you will see a level 10 forcefield is barring your way and your command codes will not function on my ship."
(Liz)
Her expression turned milder as she gazed at Liz again. "You know the saying 'physician heal thyself' correct? We doctors often have the toughest time if we are unwell, either physically or psychologically. I know how you must feel, I have gone through the same thing as you."
(Liz)

Liz noticed when the woman left and returned. ~Why doesn't she just give up?~ Liz thought, and then felt a hand on her chin. She opened her eyes ready to strike out if needed.
"Its a good thing I don't care about where I am then. What happened to me?! I lost everything dear to me in one second. With only one little message from a man I happen to HATE! My family is no more, I am alone. I am the only kind of my race in any galaxy that I know of. Do I have people who care about me? Yes I do. Do I have any family? I can't answer that one, and without an answer, I have nothing," she said wishing this captain would leave her alone.
"Are your fellow crewmembers not like family to you?" Sonak querried softly, though it appeard Liz didn't hear.
Liz looked into her eyes for the first time. "What did you go through that you know what I am facing? Did you lose your family? Did you lose your mind? Did you almost die? Did you feel like nothing?" She said in a tone that would make nails on a chalk board sound better.
"Yes I did," Sonak replied, "I lost my parents when I was three years old and have no biological family left. I was adopted by a human family and raised with two human brothers. Did I lose my mind? You could say that." She launched into telling Liz how she lost her bondmante when her ship was destroyed and how she was abused while on an away mission and how she'd gone through two miscarriages wich caused her to lose her mind." Then she uttered a scampering laugh. "Did I almost die? I was briefly declared dead after a Cardassian stabbed me and killed my unborn child. I did not know I was pregnant at the time. And no I do not feel like nothing; I am who I am and through the support of my bondmate and my crew I got through it. Without them, yes I may have died. I was quite ready to kill myself after my ship crashed.
"What is it you want from me? Because I can see you aren't going to leave me alone about this. What are you doing, taking the role of counsellor, well I already have one," Liz snapped. She was very upset, and realized she had become a little hungry. Her stomach even decided to say something then.
"I am indeed a trained counselor, and right now I counsel that you should get something to eat." Sonak pointed to her replicator. "Help yourself."
"I can't say as to who I feel is like family, or who I consider family. Right now all I feel is a large numbness all over. I don't often know when I feel outraged, but I do get outraged. As for food, that sounds like an excellent idea. I haven't been hungry for the last couple of days," she said and helped herself, as suggested, getting some lasagna for dinner.
After a couple small helpings, Liz sat on the couch, wondering if she would ever feel normal again.

L'Ola stood at her post on the Bridge keeping half an eye on proceedings. Most of her concentration, however, was going into mapping out a nearby area of space. Based on the co ordinates that Sam had received messages from, and the information Reman had given her about starbases and shipping routes for the area, she had managed to make several feasible routes.
But which one to pick?
She gained an increase in optimism when she noticed that 2 of the possible routes passed relatively close by. If she could get the timing right that would only require a minor detour... Besides it wouldn't be the worst thing ever to get demoted again. Fairly harmless if it worked.
That was the only problem, IF it worked.
There was another way though, she thought as she looked over to Nick in the Command Chair. Maybe she should call in a few more favours.

Jamey was returning from his office after turning down Kedzie offer to go to the Majesty, needing to start his review for crew evaluations. Later, the ship went to red alert and Jamey wondered why senior officers were not called to the bridge. Not waiting for the call, he left for the bridge.
Arriving he caught a glimpse of Sonak entering her ready room and he noticed the view screen full with what seemed to be Romulan War ships. Taking his seat next to the CO’s chair, he pulled up the latest on Federation and Romulan contact to see if he could help Sonak by knowing recent activities. The strange thing was that no activity had been reported in this area for a long time.
Hearing conversations about being pulled from warp and how that tactic wasn’t normal for the Romulans… Jamey started to think as the rest of the crew that this was nothing more than a disguise.
Noticing a situational read-out on his display he saw that a beam in had evoked a security override of a hand held phasor. Looking further he noticed the beam in was to Sonak’s ready room.
Getting up, Jamey approced the ready room’s door; pressing the call button Jamey asked, “Doctor, Commander Jamey here, are you in need of assistance?”

Jamey was too busy to come with her and talk over the mission just now, so Kedzie made her way towards the transporter to return to the Majesty alone. Just before she entered the transporter room she received an odd communication from the Majesty's sickbay.
=/\=This is Nurse Hal to Shikako=/\=
=/\=Kedzie here.=/\= she replied, wondering why a nurse would want to talk with her and figuring that it was related to Commander Janeway just now.
=/\=I thought I'd let you know that Commander Janeway was beamed over from sickbay to the Vesuvius ready room on Commander Reckus' order=/\=
=/\=Mmm hmm=/\= Kedzie murmured, sensing from the nurse's hesitation that there was something else.
=/\=But I thought I'd let you know she looked pretty bad while she was here. She had a phaser, and she was..well, aiming at her head; she was definitely feeling suicidal=/\=
Kedzie nodded wordlessly, even though she knew the comm channel wouldn't transmit the body language. She hadn't processed what Hal had said enough to make any kind of verbal acknowledgment right now. The nurse seemed content to let her think a little bit though. =/\=Thanks for letting me know.=/\= Kedzie closed the comm channel.
Light! What was Liz thinking? And what exactly was Kedzie supposed to do about it now?[/i] Kedzie's first instinct was to talk to Liz about this, try to convince Liz not to do anything stupid, but apparently Commodore Reckus was taking care of that, and Kedzie didn't think it would be a good idea to interrupt such a meeting. But then again, Kedzie didn't exactly feel comfortable with the idea of doing nothing.
“Computer,” Kedzie requested. “Where is Commodore Reckus?”
[Commodore Reckus is on the bridge] came the reply.
“And where is Commander Liz Janeway?”
[Commander Janeway is in the ready room]
Kedzie raised an eyebrow, trying to figure out what had happened and why Liz was in the ready room apparently alone. Oh well. Kedzie decided she guessed it was time for her to see if she could be even remotely useful, or if she truly was just going to spend this mission rushing around a step behind everyone else. She tapped commbadge. =/\=This is Kedzie to Commodore Sonak. I wanted to let you know I'm available should there be...anything I can help with=/\= Kedzie said, realizing that she was being really vague, but she guessed that if something else important had come up that Kedzie could help with she was willing to try to help there, especially if she knew someone else was in fact going to look after Liz.

"Well I think thats the buzzer for end of time. Care to accompany me to the bridge to see what mayhem we've managed to get ourselves into this time?" Fox nodded and both men stood up and walked to the doors leaving the mess hall, walking toward the turbolift. Both stepped in and Nik ordered it to get them to the main bridge. Not much later the doors opened again, both stepped out. They has arrived just before the comm-link with the Falconians was ended, still being able to see the Falconian on the screen for a short while. As the screen went black again Nik walked to his station. Fox stood beside him, wondering what was going on, why the falconians made contact with them. "All might be clearer after Sonaks meeting." Fox thought, he wondered if he should return to the Vesuvius again "but if the falconians are able to knock us out of warp, they would sure be able to detect the beaming." he thought and decided to stay here for now.

Sonak was still sitting on the floor, watching Janeway move to her replicator and get herself a couple of helpings of something Sonak didn't care to define. It was bad enough her stomach decided to act up quite a lot this pregnancy, she didn't need to know what the Klingon/Vulcan officer was devouring with what seemed to be great taste.
“Doctor, Commander Jamey here, are you in need of assistance?”
"Yes commander," Sonak called back, still keeping her eyes on Liz, who did seem somewhat calmer now, "I would appreciate your assistance. However I fear it is not in the way you would think." She waited until the Trill counselor had entered her readyroom. "Regarding Miss Janeway I believe things are under control, however I could use some assistance in getting up."
(Jamey)
Sonak issued him a small but grateful smile after he'd helped her to her feet. "Thank you counselor," she said softly, then pointed covertly at the Majesty's CMO. "That is Doctor Liz Janeway, chief medical officer on the Majesty. I had her beamed here because no reason was given for her absence during the meeting. Now I know why she was absent. I am certain her own counselor is working with her, but see if you can shed some light on her issues? From what I know, she is feeling extremely lonely, despite her friends trying to help her."
(Jamey)
=/\=This is Kedzie to Commodore Sonak. I wanted to let you know I'm available should there be...anything I can help with=/\=
"Yes counselor, I believe there is. Could you meet me and Counselor Gaz in my readyroom? I have a patient of yours in my office. Perhaps between us three we could help her." She paused, exchanged a curious glance with Gaz then continued. "I believe any immediate dangers to her life have been averted counselor, but your help is greatly appreciated as you know this patient better than we do."
(Kedzie)
An hour later, Sonak found her way down to the transporter room, flanked by Captain Cornette and her security chief, Commander Kanz. The Vulcan commodore nodded at the transporter chief. "Energize," she ordered, and the three women waited for the Falconian prefect to materialize.
"Welcome aboard the USS Vesuvius-A," Sonak started, "I am Commodore Sonak Reckus, and beside me you see Captain Kaylana Cornette of the USS Majesty and my security chief, Commander L'Ola Kanz."
