After getting thrown thru a transporter and beamed to the Majesty and jounted off to Federation space, Byrne stood there jaw-dropped. Shaking it off, he immediately ran to the nearest science console to see if he could trace the Falconian vessel using info he remembered from the download Hawk gave him prior to heading to the Bridge of the Vesubius. Isolating the warp signature, he relayed the information to the Bridge of the Majesty. Still stunned by the bold move of the acting captain, he tapped into the long-range comm system and heard the chatter of an incident aboard the Vesuvius at the moment he was beamed off the ship. Realizing that all of the command staff was shunted to the cargo bay, there were reports of a possible death that occured as the Falconians disappeared. =^=Byrne to Commander Aarons, I need to let my CO know I am okay and I need to know if the ship is okay. I just saw a report that there may have been a situation with the FO. And personally, I have someone I need to talk to right about now.=^= Heading for the nearest turbolift, Byrne kept trying to shake the idea that this was happening. All of the sudden, something came across his personal PADD, the one thing he never left home with, it seemed to be a transcribe of the conversation that was going on in the readyroom at the moment and after he was beamed off the ship. =^=Commander Aarons, I think I may have a way to get back into the fray and rescue the Vesuvis, if you can get me another ship to play along. Actually one of the Mirandas and the yacht. I know I haven't been on my own ship for long, but, trust me, your gonna love this.=^= 'Hawk, Sonak, Martens, you better be okay", he thought.

"At this point, Jamey, I am open to just about anything that will take me back to being normal again," Liz said and they got to work on some of his ideas.
A little later he suggested food, and they decided to stay in his office. She told him to surprise her, and he did bringing over some food she hadn't seen before. Liz didn't question it, and ate the meat and white stuff.
Once dinner was over she moved to the couch and leaned back hoping he would join her. ~Could this be what I'm looking for?~ She thought hoping the answers would come soon enough.
"We have gone through many possibilities. I wish we could find one that works completely though. We came close on one or two of them, but not close enough," Liz said hoping he would have another suggestion.

"OK. I will. I think Hawk was around somewhere as well. And can you turn that red flashing light off its getting annoying........" Fox nodded and tabbed a few buttons on his console, which made the red flashing lights go off. "There." he said. Suddenly Logan materialized on the bridge and the Majesty took off. Fox was still standing behind his temporary science station as Logan ran to him. It was immediately clear to him he wanted to use it and stepped aside for him. "What are you doing?" Fox asked while Logan was working on the console. "We might be able to track the Falconion vessels." he explained. Fox nodded and let him finish without any other interruptions. When Logan stepped away from the console, Fox took his place behind it again. Looking at his console Fox saw a moving blinking dot indicating the location of the falconian vessel. "Pity this ship doesn't have a cloak." he thought "We could have followed them unseen." but then he thought about the falconian action when they were in warp. "On the other hand...." he thought "They might see right through it."

"Mistress, we're loosing track of the Falconian flagship. Their signal is wavering," T'lana updated from the science station.
Kate nodded and punched in another sequence of numerals into the computer.
"That's better, thank you," came the reply.
Kate looked back up at the viewscreen. A wrinkle producing frown lay on her forhead, her gaze threatened to burn holes in the viewscreen. Finally she had enough and abruptly stood up from her seat and marched into the Captains office.
Once inside she collapsed in the Commodores chair in fits of sobs. Wiping a tears from her face she opened a comm channel to the agency.
The agencies crest appeared on screen followed by the face of her handler, a man named Jadesh.
"Agent #443 reporting in."
=/\= Good to see you again Kate. Everything alright out there?=/\= He asked noticing the tear soaked hair plastered to her face.
"He's gone," she said weakly, her face twitching as she held back more sobs.
=/\=Who's gone?=/\ Jadesh asked softly. The answer struck him before she could reply. =/\=oh.=/\=
He sat back in his chair and ran a hand through his thinning sandy blonde hair.
=/\=Were you able to stop Aegypius?=/\=
She sniffed.
"We're on the [word deleted] tail as we speak. The Klingons and the Vesuvius' security cheif are being most useful."
=/\=Be careful to bring him in alive Kate.=/\=
"That I can't guarantee anymore Jadesh. I'll do what I can but no promises. If I get a chance to take the guys head off with a phaser I most likely will."
With that she hit the off button on the screen and sat back in the chair. It was time she start letting her rage drive instead of her sorrow. She opened a channel to the briefing room. A picture of the stranded crewmembers trying to break through the door. Maverick pointing his phaser at the door.
"I wouldn't do that if I were you Maverick," She said startling the rooms occupants. "The forcefield in that door will bounce the shot back at you. My husband was quite efficent in locking down the ship to prevent such things from happening."
Sonak walked up to the screen, she was quite upset, as much as Kate could read the Vulcan that is.
"I want my ship back," Sonak demanded.
"You'll get it back soon enough. When you do there will be some conditions to my release of command. One of which is my freedom, the other is no harm or reprimand would befall Ms. Kanz."
Sonak looked at Kate as she continued.
"As well we may need some help if these Falconians get nasty. I'm going to need your help and know that you won't pull a phaser on me or my crew. We have reason to believe that Prefect is also holding Lucy on board his ship. Your betrayal of me may seal the fate of our friend. Think about what I've said and let me know your descision."
"One request. I am in need of some medical attention. Could you beam us to Sickbay?"
"This I will do to show I'm not a cruel heartless person."
She closed the comm and punched in some commands and beamed the people from the briefing room into main sickbay.

OFF: Okay, first off, thank y'all so much for not persecuting me for taking the Majesty and splitting. Second, who is Kate and should I care? P.S. the content of this post is ignorant of Kate's ultimatum just now. ON: Logan: =^=Commander Aarons, I think I may have a way to get back into the fray and rescue the Vesuvius, if you can get me another ship to play along. Actually one of the Mirandas and the yacht. I know I haven't been on my own ship for long, but, trust me, your gonna love this.=^= Aarons: "Fiiiine. <sigh>" Aarons opened a channel to the formation of ships and addressed them simultaneously. "Hi, this is Commander Aarons of the Majesty, we're grateful for your help but we were wondering if you could assist us in one final endeavor?" Before him was a party line of seven ship commanders the likes of the Brady Bunch. Captain 3: "What is it?" Aarons: "A strenuous effort, but that's not important right now. We need to rescue a ship." Captain 7: "Whose ship?" Aarons: "Commodore Reckus." Captains: "HAHAHAHAHAHA!!!-" --FIVE MINUTES LATER-- Captains: "-HAHAHAHAHA!!!!" Aarons: "Are y'all done yet? It stopped being funny 20 seconds ago?" Captain 2: "I'll help!" Captain 4: "I wouldn't miss this!" Captain 5: "Me too!" They pretty much were all in agreement not to miss out on this. Aarons: "Well let me turn it over to the man with the plan." <Logan, turns out you asked for one and you got seven. Take your pick.>

Darian couldn't believe this was happening, one minute he was touring the Vesuvius science labs and the next he found himself transported to what looked to be a cargobay. Like many joined Trills, Darian had a distinct dislike of transporters, even though he had to use them from time to time.
When he rematerializd in the cargobay, he crouched to one knee, covering his mouth with one hand in an attempt to keep his lunch in as Ako lurched in its pouch.
The young Trill didn't recognize most of the people around him, but one figure, near what appeared to be a group of engineers caught his attention. "Kedzie!" he yelled in relief, jumping back to his feet and darting towards her.
"Kedzie they've got you too?" He asked as he took her into a tight hug and planted a kiss on her cheek in his enthusiasm. When he realized what he'd done, he turned beet-red and took a step away from her. "I'm sorry," he stammered, "I was just so glad to see you. Where's the rest? Did they get back to Majesty all right? What happened?"

READ CAREFULLY!!!
It's evident we need to clear some issues up regarding the current situation aboard Vesuvius.
1. Kate is a regular member of the Vesuvius crew. In general she's a mercenary/terrorist. Is known for blowing up the engineering section of the first Vesuvius. Has been in custody for the last mission or so after trying to 'rescue' Admiral Nova.
2. The Majesty has no real idea about the takeover of Vesuvius as Mr. Aarons had already left the vicinity.
3. We're not traveling with a large fleet in Klingon space. In fact we're quite out of the way for any sort of rescue. No outside assistance is going to help us. IF any help shows up....it'd be klingons.......and we're invading their space now.
4. Vesuvius is phase cloaked and extremely hard to track.
5. This is the first, last and only OOC to be posted in this thread. Any questions about who a character is or plot ideas should be posted in the OOC thread on this board. Any further OOCs with or without a post will be deleted and not copied. They clutter up missions and make archiving a nightmare.

Logan: "Well I guess if you are all adamant about coming, then I guess you can all come." Captains: "Hooray!!!"
The Majesty then lead the 'force' back to the last position of the Vesuvius-A with phasers at the ready and torpedoes loaded. It would've taken much sooner a time if the 'Oberth' didn't have such a crappy small warp-core. When they arrived, there was nothing.
Captain 2: "Hey where's the ship?!" Other Captains: "Yeah!?"
There was no sign of it anywhere, not even a warp signature (least not a detectable one). It was if the Vesuvius-A and all hands had disappeared... Hooray!!!!!!!!! ;D
Logan: "They must have become phase-cloaked, that's why we can't find them." Aarons: "Sorry guys. I guess y'all can go back to Federation space now." Captain 5: "Man this is bunk!" And they all left. Aarons: "So tell me, how is it that y'all got around the Treaty of Algeron with phase-cloaking especially when working phase-cloaks are so hard to come by to say nothing of 3?" <Vesuvius guys? And TEG, you're still welcome to have been on the Majesty during all this.>

Sonak was actually surprised to see a change in Kate at all. It was evident she was mourning the loss of her ex-husband, and the Vulcan equally mourned the loss of her first officer. Tears stained her face and the curious glances the two Majesty officers were giving her weren't helping the situation.
It was even more odd to be actually beamed to sickbay as promised, instead of being killed on the spot as Kate would've done in the past. "I was not lying about needing medication," she told Hawk and Kaylana, knowing that Trey had known as he was an officer on her own crew, and self-appointed bodyguard. Leaving Trey to stand with Kaylana and Hawk, Sonak moved over to one of the medication cabinets and loaded up a hypospray with an unidentifiable medication, then pressed the hypo against her throat and injected the fluid.
"The replicator is in the medical office," she suggested, "it will also replicate regular food." She walked up to them and pulled their combadges from their tunics, under severe protest from both Majesty officers. Even Trey looked severely troubled. "If we are to escape sickbay, they can trace us with our combadges. If we leave them behind, they cannot. Yes I am aware of the dangers involved, but I know Kate and she cannot be trusted."
Her expression turned grim. "And we have a score to settle with that Falconian." She glanced at Hawk. "It seems I owe you an apology commander," she continued, "he is indeed a traitor. And a murderer, for he assassinated my first officer." She paused briefly, then motioned towards the office again. "I would suggest replicating something to eat. I will be in the animal lab, but I shall join you shortly."
Sonak handed the four combadges to Trey, telling him to hold onto them until she got back. A minute later, she returned with four white mice and a few strings. One by one, she tied a combadge to the back of one mouse, then glanced up at the astonished officers. "A trick I once learned," she explained, "and one that will not be expected." She smiled sourly as she continued, then released the four mice. "As they will only lock onto the comsignal for transportation, they will assume we are moving freely about sickbay, until of course the mice will find an access large enough to escape sickbay from. In the mean time, as doctor I am very aware of every escape hatch from sickbay. And I am certain that neither Mistress Martens nor Commander Kanz are aware of them. Being married to the previous CMO also quite helps."
After packing some supplies, she motioned to one of the nearly invisible hatches. "We should get moving," she told them, knowing full well that in her condition it would go slowly. She also took a medical tricorder and a field med-kit.
(Trey/Hawk)
A little later, they cleared the Jeffries tubes and exited near the counselor's office. "My counselor and your chief medical officer are locked in," Sonak whispered, knowing that it was quite unnecessary to do so, "Trey, Hawk see what you can do to release them."
(Trey/Hawk)
Several minutes later, the small party was extended by Jamey Parker and Liz Janeway. Sonak promptly handed Liz the med-kit and the tricorder, as she was the ranking medical officer. Of course, Sonak could've taken that responsebility but she felt keeping her small party safe and free from capture was as much responsebility she needed. Besides, she needed someone to hold her back if she was straining herself too much, and Liz could take that responsebility. ~at least it will keep her mind off her worries~ Sonak thought, hoping she was doing right.

Life on the Venturer ship seemed a million light years away from llife now. It was surprising how things could change so dramatically in such a short space of time. As she did each da, Lucy tried to replay the events that had led her to this place, but the same details were still missing.
She remembered thinking off escaping from the ship, and planning to do so at the spaceport they had visited. Then almost out of nowhere she'd been shot down and had woken up in a prison cell. At first she'd assumed that someone had discovered her plans, and that she was being held captive on her old ship. But the truth had been made clear soon enough.
These people, Falconians did they say they were, hadn't made it 100% clear why she was being held there. Lucy could only assume that they held some grudge against one of her alliances, there was no telling which one it could be.
However a few days ago something had happened to give her extra hope. For the briefest of moments, she had managed to sense her mother's presence. Well not her actual mother, obviously, but the nearest thing she had. With great effort she managed to sense enough other people to work out that the Vesuvius was nearby.
This had given her a very definite chance of escape, and this knowledge had forced her to keep her mind sharp. All she needed was an opportunity. Today it finally arrived.
"They're moving some of the others round today" one of her fellow prisoners informed her, "I heard them talking about it."
Sure enough, a few moments later two guards came around the corner, dragging two prisoners with them. When Lucy saw them she saw her opportunity.
She patiently waited until the guards had left the area before looking over at one of her new cellmates. ~ I think we can get out of here ~ she thought to him ~ But it will take two of us to do it ~ A nod gave her all the response she needed.
As soon as the other prisoners had fallen asleep, the two of them set to work on the circuitry surrounding the cell. The trick was to make the computer believe that one of them was a guard, while the other constantly overrode the relevant subroutines. Once one of them was out it was relatively easy to open the cell for a short length of time.
When she was out, Lucy really got into her field of expertise. The ship's computer was no match for someone who had been fine-tuning their hacking skills for months. And within 10 minutes of escaping their cell, the pair materialised on the Vesuvius, just around the time the guards noticed something was going on.
Happy to be back on fairly familiar territory, Lucy took a long look around. But it didn't take a genius to work out something had happened on this ship as well. Walking through the corridors there was no one to be seen, and yet there was no sign of a fight. She turned to her fellow escapee, "What on Vulcan is going on around here?"

After sweating that they would never make it back to the Vesuvius in time, it didn't take long for him to realize that Aarons really only made a mad dash to a nearby Klingon occupied starbase that was hosting a few Federation starships. Able to grab the attention of Fox, Byrne left a message on the console he just walked away from hoping to hide it from the ship commander. The message stated, "We are only 10 minutes from the Vesuvius at warp 9. Commander Aarons needs to step down as commander of the ship and we need to search for the book on our own for now. I have full faith in the Commodore. If you and Nik are behind me, meet me in the Science Lab one deck below." With that Byrne shadowed the console till Fox stepped up and rapidly headed to the turbolift. Catching Byrne out of the corner of his eye, Aarons relieved himself and headed for his Ready Room. Routing the optical sensors to broadcast images to the Main Viewer in the upper EM spectrum, Fox was able to see what was not being told to the senior staff on the Bridge, and that the taking of Commander Byrne from the USS Vesuvius was not an accident. They were sitting in the middle of a Klingon controlled hidden base, in which there were a few older model Federation ships in orbit. <Tag Fox / Nik> Apparently the 'captains' Commander Aarons were talking about were new Klingon officers being trained in obsolete Federation technologies. And that maybe, there was a link to what Byrne saw earlier when the Falconians showed up broadcasting Romulan signatures. Thinking this may go south quick, Byrne locked down the yacht and shuttlebays. If Aarons used the transporters, all he could do is leave the ship. Using his old command codes from the Raven, he routed all command functions to the Main Engineering deck. Accessing the command codes located in a storage chip is his right arm, he then accessed Stellar Cartography to bring up the information he created in the holodeck on the Vesuvius, using star charts of the universe back when the Falconians were rumored to have fled Earth. Using the alignment of the Galactic Core, Byrne was somewhat able to come up with a starting point on the map. Gathering this information, Byrne headed back to the Science Lab to see if Fox was behind this little coup-de-tat. <Tag Sonak in OCC /Fox / Aarons>

Michael had become tired of finding himself inexplicably alone during this mind bending mission. Knowing that if Nik weren't at the scene of trouble, he'd probably be in the science lab, and that's where he'd find him with Fox most likely in tow. He entered to find the mad scientist and the ship's guests doing... something... nerdy. Aarons: "Okay guys, status report. Have y'all found a heading to take? 'Cause in 2 hours, I'm gonna' say 'screw it' and head for Earth until this inane mission blows over and someone comes looking for us; which shouldn't be too hard considering I plan to park at Spacedock." Nik: "You really would do that." Aarons: "Nik! You know me too well!!" ;D Logan: "...We have a starting point." Aarons: "Thank God! Give me the location so I can get us there without anymore galmonging interruptions!" Nik: "Did he just use a Battlestar Galactica phrase?" Fox: "I don't even think he knows what RPG he's on anymore." <Logan, Fox... Nik>

Liz realized that none of these suggestions where helping. She was glad he was there though, and for once she didn't feel completely alone. She found herself very nervous. ~Why am I this way? I've never been this nervous in my life, then again I've never tried this before.~ She thought wondering if he noticed.
"Jamey, I need to say something, and I need you not to interrupt," she said then took a quick drink putting it back down when she was done. She looked into his eyes, wishing this could last longer, but she knew she needed to tell him.
"I have found since we met things have looked a lot better than before I was brought here. I realize you are just doing your job, but for me its more than that. I realize this might be a little sudden, and if you find it isn't the same, then please just tell me," Liz said licking her lips a little wishing she wasn't this nervous.
"The thing is, I've fallen for you." In saying that she felt like a big weight was lifted off her shoulders.
(Jamey)
A bit later Liz heard something, and was grateful when they were no longer locked in that office. She was also sad that they weren't locked in wishing she was still alone with him.
One second she was just someone in an office, then next she found the CO of the Vesuvius pushing a tricoder and medkit into her hands. ~This is what I need. I need to get back to work. I am truely lost without it. I just hope that Jamey doesn't say anything, and the Ked doesn't remind anyone I was pulled off.~ Liz thought realizing how good it felt holding the instruments of her trade.
~I'm a doctor. I'm suppose to be helping others.~ She thought, and realized how tired the commodore looked.
"Perhaps we should stop long enough for your CO to catch her breath among other things," she said hearing how authoritive she was sounding.

Kedzie was rather surprised to see Darian, and even more surprised when he suddenly hugged her and kissed her cheek. The blush and sudden retreat didn't overly surprise her. “It's good to see someone I recognize too,” she told him, since she was definitely feeling very lost in this situation. She didn't even know what anyone could do when they broke out of this cargobay.
“I have no clue where anyone else is. I know Liz-Commander Janeway was on the Vesuvius, but she...” Kedzie trailed off from that. “I don't know about the rest of the crew though.”
Suddenly the engineer, Lieban, who had been joined by a few of his co-engineers, made a triumphant noise, as the cargobay doors slid most of the way open. He then struggled for a few moments to get the doors to open the rest of the way. Kedzie glanced at Darian with this new development. “So, I'm thinking we should probably stick with the rest of the group,” Kedzie said, as the group walked out of the cargobays. Not that the group was very inconspicuous, but Kedzie didn't have a phaser, which didn't speak well for her odds of survival if she ran into whoever had transported everyone to the cargobays. “Of course there's nothing to stop whoever put us here in the first place to just transport us to another cargobay,” Kedzie remarked to Darian, wondering what actually should be done at this point.

With that Byrne shadowed the console till Fox stepped up and rapidly headed to the turbolift. Fox didn't notice the message until 5 minutes had passed and some button on his station began to blink. Wondering what it could be he tabbed it and read Byrne's message. We are only 10 minutes from the Vesuvius at warp 9. Commander Aarons needs to step down as commander of the ship and we need to search for the book on our own for now. I have full faith in the Commodore. If you and Nik are behind me, meet me in the Science Lab one deck below.
Fox looked at Nik, motioning him to come and have a look. Nik came to the console, reading the message also. Fox erased the message when he was down "Lets go and see what he wants." Both walked to the turbolift and headed for the Science labs. When they walked in, Byrne was already there and started asking Fox if this all was his idea. He shook his head. "But..." he started looking at Nik "We're both with you." Nix nodded in agreement. Byrne showed his charts on one of the consoles in the lab, pointing to a specific star system. "I beleive we should start there." he stated. The three of them were still looking at the chart when Aarons stormed in the science lab asking for where they should go. Fox looked at Byrne, smiling "Well you better tell him quickly, its your finding." Byrne nodded and motioned Aarons to the console himself, Nik and Fox looked a little while again. "There we should go." pointing at the same star system again.

Aarons: "Then I shall take us there. Oh and could you guys like not leave me to be all alone up there? I mean I know Cmdr. Gypsy's up there with me but seriously, every time I go to Warp around him, I feel like he's gonna me a speeding ticket." (lol). Fox: "But what about the other people on the bridge?" Aarons: "What people!?" Fox: "The other people that make up your ship." Aarons: "You mean those guys who nobody cares about and if they say something they'll conveniently get kill?" Fox: "Yeah, we have some on our ship too." Aarons: "Small world."

Trishta was bored and wondered what she could do to pass the time. She was about to pick up a holonovel when all of a sudden a mysterious message popped up for her. Something about a crewmate not doing well. She sighed wondering who sent such a message, and saw the person was on the bridge.
Trish grabbed a medkit and sighed realizing this wasn't going to be easy. She remembered Liz talking of how much he didn't like doctors, but she knew she had to do this.
It didn't take her too long to get to the bridge, and she walked right over to Aarons.
"Hello, commander, I am in the middle of crew medical evaluations, and guess what? You are first," she said trying to sound excited. She took out her tricorder.
"Hold still and let me do this, or be relieved of duty, I don't care which commander. Since Liz is not here, that makes me the Chief doctor here, and I have the authority to do what I need to get this done," she threatened when he started to try to get out of it. The scan wouldn't take long, that much she knew, then suddenly it beeped. Inwardly she groaned.
"Well, it seems you are very unlucky, sir. You have Reloti symbosis. A disease that spreads through the air. Not everyone is able to get it. I will need you to report to sickbay, the nurse will be expecting you. We found something to make us suspect a couple of diseases were around. I do hope the rest of the crew is well," she said and hoped he would go willingingly. Trish waited to see what he would do before going to find her next patient.

Sonak waved her off. "No, we should keep moving. Captain Cornette, in the event of me starting to fall behind you are to take the lead on retaking my ship," she ordered, "I want my ship back, and that Martens woman back in her cell. And I believe my security chief is longing for yet another demotion if she keeps this up. What has gotten into her?"
She leaned against the bulkhead, catching her breath. ~so much for Vulcan endurance~ she thought grimly ~I will not be able to crawl through Jeffries tubes much longer, eventually they will have to leave me behind~
Sonak made eye contact with Cornette again, ignoring the concerned glances Parker, Maverick and Janeway were casting in her direction. Hawk seemed somewhat indifferent to the situation, though it was clear he was still upset. Whether it was about the hijacking, the murder of Nick Martens or the Falconian issue in general, Sonak couldn't tell. "I cannot keep crawling in my condition," she finally admitted, "and I doubt we can use the turbolifts."
Looking around, she recognized the faint phase difference that was usual to traveling while cloaked. "We have engaged the cloaking device. We have to get to Mercury or Discordia and engage assault mode from there. Then we can disable Minerva, and retake the ship. Suggestions?"
(anyone in the party)
"Only then we can rescue the rest of the crew," Sonak added, "wherever they are held. I do assume they are well-treated. Kate Martens only ever wanted two people dead, and one of them is me."

Aarons: "'Reloti symbosis' (sic) huh? Is that the best fake disease you could come up with? I've come up with better when I wanted to get out of work." The commander headed to the nearest replicator. "Well if that's how you want to get rid of me I'll just have to turn the tides on you." He replicated a blue and white box. "I'm flaking this turmoiled mission and visiting Big Bill." Trish: "But you can't! You're communicable!" Aarons: "Good news, Dr. Grindey is there with him!" Trish: "Who?" Aarons: "Yeah I really don't know who that is either... In any case Death is there so, well I don't really see how that counts as good news but oh well." Trish: "What's in the box?" Aarons: "Oreos. Bill knows a Martian over there and I love to tease him." <If y'all got that congratulate yourselves on being a huge dork.> And he blinked through a tear in the fabric of space and was gone. Gypsy: "Finally! Now it's my turn to sit in the big seat!" He sat down in the captain's chair. The turbolift opened to Logan, Fox, and Greenwood. "Ah, crap!" <Bye.>

As Commander Aarons pretended to leave the Bridge, Logan had Security escort him to the Ready Room, until he had time to deal with him. Heading to the Conn position, Byrne laid in a course for the Acamar star cluster. Locking down the Bridge controls, Byrne asked Fox and Nik to join him in the Conference Room. Once there, Logan began to explain what items they were looking for. First, they needed to find a structure estimated to be pointing in the direction of the next link in the puzzle to find the book. Using the holographic display, he generated an image that looked similar to the heads on Easter Island, but more worn than those found on Earth. There were items listed in the old text that spoke of that once aligned to the old starcharts, would create a beacon showing the next destination for anyone following the path of breadcrumbs. (Inside joke, sorry). Once the ship dropped from warp, they headed back to the Bridge, to engage the science sensors to scan the local planetary bodies using the Falconian signatures thet downloaded from the information Byrne took from the Vesuvius. Isolating a blip on his station, Byrne requested the primary ecological team to meet him on the Yacht for an away mission. Heading to the location, Byrne saw a mammoth structure pointing to the most constant North. Checking the data PADD he brought with him, Byrne used the starchart on it to align the markers on the podium in front of him to activate the directional beacons within the statue. Before he could initiate the program, the ship contacted the away team to warn about gravitational fluctuations in the upper atmosphere, showing indications of a cloaked ship entering the atmosphere. Using short burst phaser fire, the Majesty fired multiple shots trying to push the unknown vessel away from the landing site of the crew on the planet surface. <TAG Fox on ship>

Kay knew Commodore Sonak was physically stressed, but it worried her as to why she was suddenly, out of no where, talking about a person, a planet and a state of mind. Sonak must have read Kay’s thoughts and, with the help of her blank expression, logically deduced she should explain.
“Minerva, Mercury and Discordia are the names we’ve given to the various sections during Multi-Vector Assault Mode,” she explained. “It helps us keep it all organized our minds as to which part of the ship we’re referring to by separate names.”
“I appreciate the explanation,” Kay said. “I thought for a moment you needed to be escorted immediately back to sick bay.”
The group settled back in to crawling along passageways punctuated by stops along the way for Sonak to catch her breath. Janeway seemed mentally stable enough for the moment and took the opportunity at each pause to scan the Commodore.
Finally, they emerged into what resembled a battle bridge, the Mercury, Sonak had announced as they entered and took up various stations attuned to their areas of expertise. Both Hawk and Kay eyed the navigation console with avid desire, seeing as how both of were flyers from way back. In the end, Hawk acquiesced to Tactical and let Kay drive. She was elated and immediately began familiarizing herself with the nav. station. Janeway scurried over to a console and tied in both operations and science. Kay noticed Liz seemed to be happy to have the challenge of a new task.
Cornette turned her attention to how to separate the Mercury from the rest of the Vesuvius and tried not to concern herself too much with the fact that she was now among a crew consisting of a woman 7 month’s pregnant, a Falconian set on vengeance and a young Klingon/Vulcan hybrid who just hours before tried to kill herself.
“Once we are separated, we’ll rendezvous with the Majesty,” Sonak said, stroking her enlarged belly as if trying to calm her unborn child. Janeway gave her a concerned glance but went back to her work.
Modifications to the Vesuvius had created a few differences here and there to the controls, but Kay, with a little trial and error, tapped out the necessary sequences preparing for separation. She darted a quick look at Sonak before executing. “I would advise going immediately to high warp after we clear the Minerva, Commodore.”
“Yes, definitely… make it so,” she stated, a bit of weariness in her voice.

He had been asked to work with them. He had sit through an entire briefing and understood little of its point. He had shown wanton compassion for a morose shipmate. He had been pulled out of warp, detained by a dubious 3-piece meal, and forced to play Grand Theft Starship (by Rockstartrek Games ;D). Now he waits in the captain's ready room. Aarons twiddled his thumbs bored stiff.
Aarons: "I'm bored." It's not every day Captain Bligh mutinied against Mr. Christian. He spotted a deck of cards. "Ooh cards! Hey [security] guys, want to play fizzbin?!"

Sonak sat back in her seat, with Trey taking up a stance directly behind the command seat, a hand position on his phaser rifle so he could react the moment danger would arise. Jamey had taken up position on the seat next to her and kept glancing between her and Janeway, who sat at the science station.
High warp was indeed necessary, both to get away from the remaining two modules and catch up with the Majesty as soon as possible. She nodded approvingly at Kaylana, who was doing a very good job at piloting the state-of-the-art starship, or rather, a part of it.
Before they had detached themselves, Sonak had made sure that the cloaking device had been disabled briefly enough for Mercury to undock and speed away. "Commander Hawk, engage phase cloak," she ordered. Then she realized she had never answered the question on how they had come to have a phase cloak. "My ship is designed in co-operation with the Klingons and the Romulans," she explained with a hint of a smile, "and the designer of this vessel, who happens to be my current first officer, managed to get a deal on the use of three cloaking devices. One for each module that is. So far, it has saved our lives on more than one occasion, and we even managed to surprise another starfleet now admiral when we joined them in a rescue operation. Of course, they had a nice surprise for us too, but that aside."
The Vulcan cast a concerned glance at the main viewscreen, then glanced up at Hawk. "ETA to Majesty?" she asked.
"Commodore, a message coming in from Starfleet," Liz piped up from the science station.
Sonak got up from her seat, with a little help from Jamey and walked over to read the message. "That is good news," she said, then turned to Trey. "It seems Starfleet finally promoted you to Lieutenant junior grade," she told him, "I will get you the proper rank pips when we get to Majesty, and also sort the official 'paperwork' then. Congratulations lieutenant."
(everyone...get us to Majesty. Those on Minerva/Discordia...do your thing:))

Liz did her best to keep up with the rest of them in the passage way, and found it not hard. Most of the scans told her the same thing, all of them were good. It was the first scan she did that intrigued her, for she now knew the sex of the baby. She wanted to see if the commodore knew, but decided now was not the time.
Once they reached the battle bridge, she got to work. ~There must be a way to get the commodore over for a chat.~ Liz thought and smiled. She realized it was the first time she had smiled in awhile, and realized she was happy. Liz didn't know what was making her happy, but it was something she would love to identify. She felt she didn't want to lose the feeling only to be sent back into the abyss of her mind.
Liz then thought of it, a way for the commodore to come over for a talk. "Commodore, I have something over here you might want to see," she said hoping that would spark some interest in what Liz had found. She noticed the Commodore was tired, and sighed. ~Why do they always wear themselves out. Those in command make the worst patients.~ Liz thought still smiling. She was so happy she thought of humming, but decided against it.
Liz continued to tap something out on her console. She wanted to make sure to look busy hoping the commodore would come over to see what was up.
Sonak, too, sighed as she got up from her seat again to walk back to the Vulcan/Klingon doctor, who was busily typing away on her console. "Have you located the Majesty?" she asked, as she approached, then saw there was nothing on the screen. She raised a quizzical eyebrow at the younger woman and patiently waited for an explanation.

Liz was still smiling, and brought out the tricorder. She placed it on the console. "I wasn't sure what you knew exactly. I know you don't have a Chief Medical Officer though, so I figured you probably don't know much about the child. I can tell you now or we can wait, the choice is your's ma'am," Liz said lowering her voice enough for only her and the commodore to hear.
"Well then, the child is healthy, and I see nothing wrong with her. She is half Vulcan, now that is interesting. She is also half Human. Is there anything else you would like to know about her?" Liz asked still in a hushed voice.
Liz pushed a few buttons still looking busy as if what she was telling the commodore mattered to the whole crew. She quickly brought up where the Majesty was.
"Commodore, the Majesty is about four hours away on this course at this current speed," Liz said loud enough for the rest to hear.
