Sonak walked onto Starbase Bellicose, finding she had to familiarise herself with these surroundings again after a prolonged absence from the starbase. She would have to visit her office soon, to see what a mess her aide had left it in. Lieutenant Seltek was usually a very tidy person, but at times he could become so engrossed in his work that he made a mess of her office in his attempt to either organize it or find a lost PADD or paper file.
Soon, she mused as first she wanted to spend some time with her husband and children. Too often, however they visited the same places on the starbase, so she would have to think of something else for entertainment, something that would amuse both her 8-year old twins as well as her 4-year old twins. Her baby daughter Miriya was still too young to enjoy anything other than either parent's personal attention and a timely feed and change of diapers.
First, however, she would have to locate her new security chief, and formally welcome him aboard. "Ensign Anthony An," she murmured to herself, having read his profile when the transfer papers had come through. It had given her a destription of him, but on a starbase the size of Bellicose, there were thousands of people that could fit his description. She was certain, however, that the young officer would be quite able to find her in time.
(ooc: shoreleave until next week people, when Doctor D'Angelo shall start our new mission)

When the Vesuvius docked to Bellicose Fox was working in one of the science labs. He had muted all comm systems in there so he could concentrate on this experiment. Suddenly a light on the console next to him began to blink. He ignored it for a while, continueing his work.
When the experiment didn't need his full attention he looked at the console, after pressing a button a message appeared. He smiled as he read it. "At Bellicose again." he thought "and a short shoreleave that's nice." It would give him some time to visit friends on the base. "It's been a while i saw them." he thought.
After finishing his experiment he beamed off the Vesuvius and went to the civilian section. There he stopped at a few quarters, sadly finding no one there. Tho he left messages and headed for the promenade.
He looked arround, a lot had changed since he had been here last time. New restaurants, new shops. As he walked around there he picked a bar and sat at a table. Within a minute a waiter stood next to him. "What can i get you?" the waiter asked. Fox thought for a while "a Vulcan mocha please." he answered after a short while.
The waiter nodded and left again to come back soon again with his order. Fox looked at it as the waiter set it on the table he sat at. "Here you are Commander? Anything else?" Fox shook his head "No thank you." and the waiter left. Fox looked at his ordered beverage, he wondered how it tasted as it had been recommended to him.
He picked the cup up and took a small sip from it. "mmmmmm" it tasted quite good. Fox smiled "This was an excellent choice." he thought and sat back again taking another sip.

As Alex finished his paper he heard over the COM system that they had just docked at starbase Bellicose, so with that Alex got up from his chair and went to the nearest transporter room. After being transported to Bellicose he went to the mess hall where he had a chocolate malt, then he went to his quarters and started reading a book he was already halfway on.

Major Echal swore quietly to himself as he finally gave up struggling and lay still. Having been transferred out of sickbay to a secure holding cell, he had not been especially surprised to still be restrained for the most part. The Romulan had only being released from his restraints a few times a day for food, water, and other necessities, and even then, only with a group of heavily armed guards watching his every move. This he expected, and even respected.
What upset him was not his treatment, but the fact that Tamir had been subjected to the same. No matter what he said, did, or tried, no one seemed to care that he insisted Tamir was innocent, perhaps thinking he had beamed her over to help him escape or to accomplish some task for him, which was not the case. Her poor treatment for nothing left the Major incensed with rage.
For her part, the nurse had barely spoken, so terrified by her current situation. Her fear only angered Govan farther. Couldn’t these idiots see the woman was terrified and obviously no threat to anyone? The officer ached to say something, anything to her, to try and comfort her or alleviate her fear, but to do so would be a sign of weakness, and he would never willingly show weakness.
Despite his decision to give up just moments earlier, the Major became so angry just thinking about it that he lost control and began swearing loudly in Romulan in the direction of the Starfleet officers stationed on the other side of the forcefield. This resulted only in a few continuing to ignore him, and a few more smirking slightly as his loss of control. They may not have understood the words themselves, but the sentiment was definitely communicated.
Glaring at his own failure, he sent one final statement on their lack of competence toward them, but that only resulted in a strangled sob coming from Tamir. Craning his neck around as far as it could go, he looked at her. She was pale with fear and biting her lip as if trying not to cry. Guilt once again flooded him, as he realized his anger and swearing, designed only to help her be released, had actually made her situation worse.
Hanging his head slightly feeling a bit ashamed of himself, Govan quietly mumbled. “Sorry…” in her direction. And he was sorry, not just for his swearing, but for dragging her into this whole mess. His only consolation was that she was still alive and that somehow he would get her released, once he found someone who would listen to him. Then, and only then, he could finally figure out a way to complete his final task and end his life with honor.

"Anthony An" Marco read out loud to Alice, who was busy running the sonic comb past her hair. The waves in her hair returned to normal, wiping away any signs of distress it encountered on the Romulan ship. It had been a few days, and sonic combing wasn't a part of standard debriefing procedure, so it had been put to the side.
"Interesting. New graduate, or transfer?"
"Graduate. From the information I was given, it was a rough ride on the USS.. Hhha.. Hhee.." Marco couldn't remember the names of the ships. It had been quite a long time since he trained, so he hadn't trained on any of the current ships in commission.
He communiqued to a nurse to let him know when Ensign An arrived. His previous mission undoubtedly caused some sort of injury. Every year that went by training became more dangerous. Starfleet seemed perfectly content with sending innocence into battle. At least, it seemed that way. New recruits, any doctor could tell you, had their share of injuries.
"You know, you aren't going to have any hair left when you get done with that. And that's a medical tool, not for personal use!" Grooming in the 24th century was an important part of human culture. Naturally, after surgical procedures.. or more morbid procedures like burial preperations, there were multiple cosmetic tools available.
Alice stuck her tongue back at the Doctor. He wouldn't do anything, and she knew it.
=/\= Doctor D'Angelo, Anthony An has arrived on the ship. Should I send him your way. =/\=
=/\= Affirmative. =/\=
Hopefully this was routine.
Who was he kidding? Nothing on this ship was routine.
<tag Anthony An. Welcome to the ship!>

Ensign An dematerialized in the USS Vesuvius-A transporter room. The crewman transporter operator greeted him as An stepped off the pad.
“I hope you enjoyed your stay aboard the Bellicose, sir,” the operator said. An was not yet comfortable with being called “sir” by the crewmen and other cadets he met.
“Yeah, I did, thanks. Some of my friends and family came to celebrate my birthday and graduation,” replied An. He did not mention that his best friend died in a shuttle accident three weeks prior.
After shaking hands the crewman, he tapped his badge, “Doctor D'Angelo, Anthony An has arrived on the ship. Should I send him your way?” asked the transporter chief.
“Affirmative,” responded Doctor D'Angelo.
“Good talking to you crewman, I’ll see you around,” said An.
“Yes, sir. You, too, sir,” responded the transporter operator.
An remembered the way to sickbay from studying the ship specifications while on the starbase. Unlike the USS Vesuvius, a Sovereign class vessel, the Somma class vessel features a multi-vector assault mode and contains three Mark II Phase cloaking devices. An could not wait to see the USS Vesuvius-A in action.
Ensign An walked down the corridor and stepped into the turbolift. He still could not believe that he was the chief security officer aboard this ship. His new assignment became more real to him as he stood in the turbolift. His new responsibility finally started to soak in. He closed his eyes and prayed to be a good security officer and asked God to keep his commanding officer, Sonak Reckus, and other crew members safe.
The turbolift slowed and stopped. The doors hissed open and An walked down the corridor toward sickbay. His thoughts drifted to his best friend Tito. An received the news that his best friend Tito died three weeks earlier after leaving the USS Hepta, but it had not felt real to him. An kept thinking that Tito would be there at his graduation/birthday party, but he never showed. After a week of denial, An broke down last sabbath. It was almost impossible to accept that his best friend was gone.
Finally, An walked through the sickbay doors. “We will rejoice together on the Day of our Lord Jesus, Tito,” An muttered to himself, “shalom.”

Sonak too, received the message that the new security chief had reported in. However, instead of reporting to her first as was protocol, the young ensingn had headed over to sickbay to report in for his required physical instead. Sighing, she packed up the PADD she had been reading and left her quarters.
The past few hours she had spent with her recovering husband and children, though the oldest were very careful in their dealings with their father. The youngest two copied the behaviour of their older siblings, but little Miriya had no such restraints.
She crawled over to her father, pulling his pant's leg, demanding attention as where she was concerned, her father had spent too much time tending to her cousin. Rick and Elanna though had moved to guest quarters on Bellicose with their family, and their daughter had been transferred to starbase facilities, as Sonak had no doubt the Vesuvius would be called out to be somewhere sometime soon.
Jatan had picked his daughter up and cradled her close with an odd expression on his face. Sonak had no doubt that the trauma he had suffered would take a fair time to heal, so she wasn't going to bother him with it. She knew he would come to her and talk when he felt he needed to, and he certainly needed no pressure from her. However, she did know exactly how he felt, as she had been through a Cardassian torture session once, among a few things, and she had nearly been burned alive as a witch at another instant. Oh yes, she knew very well how he felt.
Approaching sickbay, she caught sight of Marco dutifully tending to the new security chief. Coughing softly, she caught the attention of both men. "Usually, one reports to the commanding officer first," she said, smiling slightly, "before reporting to the chief medical officer." She wasn't berating them, and her pleasant tone reflected just that as she walked up to her two junior officers. "I am Commodore Sonak Reckus, though I will listen to just 'doctor' as well if I am needed." Again that smile. "I am, after all still a medical doctor despite my current position, and I shall have you know that Doctor D'Angelo is a worthy replacement." This time she winked obscurely at the young doctor. "Ensign An, I expect you to meet me in the brig in fifteen minutes. Though you are new, I have a first assignment for you."
After talking to the new security chief and asking him for ideas on security updates, which he would have to check with the chief engineer, Sonak finally went to see to the task she dreaded most. The Devastator had just arrived to take the two Romulans out of her custody, and she was only too glad to see them gone. She had seen what an evil man this major was, even though he seemed uncannily protective of the female nurse that had come with him. The nurse had remained quiet during all sessions of interrogation, as had the major himself, apart from nearly pleading with the officers to let the woman go.
The Vulcan woman halted before the cell, gesturing for security to drop the forcefield and let her in. "Major Govan Echal, your transport to Assaillant is waiting," she announced formally, as security moved in to cuff him. From the next cell, Tamir was also cuffed and led from her cell. At that precise moment, Ensign An entered the brig area, giving her a questioning look. "Ah Ensign, you are to escort Miss Tamir to the USS Devastator brig. I will take Major Echal myself. The Devastator will transport them to Assaillant, from where they shall be deported back to Romulus. Any questions?"
She gave Echal a sharp glance, mixed with pure hatred, then pulled him roughly along. "I hope they give you the same treatment you gave my husband and my chief medical officer," she said coldly as they walked on, followed by An and Tamir. "I know Vebn s'Khellian is not known for his kindness. He will deal with you according to the information he has received from both sides. Your Honour Blades shall be given to Captain Xan Hirsi, who will hand them over to Ambassador s'Khellian. He will decide whether they shall be returned to you in order to perform Final Honour, if the Empire so decrees."

"You know, Doctor Reckus," Marco made a point to not call her Commodore after she went out of her way to describe her expertise without a cue from anyone, "with the exception of a counselor, oh which we are without right now, I am the only person who can override your command decision." Of course she would have to be found medically unfit by Doctor D'Angelo, but he was just sharing pleasant jabs with her, and she knew it. For a Vulcan, she wasn't bad at displaying humor. Being raised by humans and having a human husband probably helped.
After the Commodore exchanged a few more witticisms with the Doctor, she left, allowing the medical examination to continue.
The doctor rattled off some stuff he had on his padd about the new recruit. Security officers usually came with their own list of scars and ailments, but Anthony's record was squeaky clean.
"Are you practicing member of Judaism?" The ancient religion still existed, but few practiced it out in the open. Marco, being from the Italian peninsula, was privy to theological knowledge. Visiting the ruins of Saint Peter's Basilica while he was younger sparked his interest in older religions. It wasn't until he was at college until he learned about the entirety of Christianity, Judaism, and Islam. "Shalom" was a word still used in the world, although only a small few still associated themselves with the religion.
He followed the question up with, "Have you had any injuries?" He figured his medical bio was doctored. No pun intended.
As he waited for An to answer, he laughed to himself. "I should have the Commodore come in for a checkup. That'll rile her up." He turned to Alice. "Alice, page the Commodore. Tell her it's her turn."
Alice would do no such thing. She wasn't about to get in the middle of their playful punches. "I think I'll do something more fun like dechronotizing the phase-rectifiers." The task was clearly daunting, and Alice, too, was only joking.
Finding not much else to do, and the Vesuvius not currently on any engaging mission, Marco was not rushing his efforts. There was finally time for play.

After her introduction to the new security chief, and finally seeing their much hated prisoner off, Sonak returned to her quarters feeling exhausted. She was in need of some recreation, but she wasn't sure if Jatan would be up to it. "I am thinking of going camping," she offered, sitting beside her mate on the couch. He had finally slung his arm around her shoulders and she gratefully leaned into him. She had missd this kind of affection lately, as she had grown to depend upon it from time to time and gain strength from it.
"Then why don't you?" Jatan answered, "I remember us going camping at that lake."
Sonak smiled fondly at the memory, especially the fight with the foam from doing the dishes together. "Well, since we are having new crewmembers, I thought it might be a good idea for all of us to go camping. Lily can take care of our children, we will take them camping, together, another time."
"I don't know..." Jatan hesitated.
"If it will help, I will make it an order," Sonak smiled, caressing her husband's cheek in affection. "It will be compulsary for all senior staff, so we will get to know each other. And we will be using one giant tent so we shall be sharing everything too. It will be unlike that vacation we took when that creature took over our holodeck, playing a game of cluedo with us."
Jatan too, remembered that one, as it was the first time he realised he loved his wife. He distinctly remembered the moon that night on the holodeck. "Very well," he conceded, "I'll meet you at the holodeck while you make the announcement. And I'll ask Lily Andrews to come over and watch the kids."
Sonak's smile brightened as she rose and went over to her computer console. "Attention senior staff, report to holodeck two in an hour. Civillian attire compulsary. Oh, and bring your sleeping bags!"

Tovan's meditation was broken, as the Sonak's voice came over the comm. "Attention senior staff, report to holodeck two in an hour. Civilian attire compulsary. Oh, and bring your sleeping bags!" Tovan sighed. He did not understand his commander's love of holosuites and fantasy situation. He understood their value for training exercises, and mentally admitted to himself that it did provide a good way to get to know his shipmate's a little better, but he found extensive recreational use unnecessary.
Still, it was an order, and so he complied, changing into some civilian clothing. He had to stop by the replimat and pick up a sleeping bag, since he had never had a need for any such thing. Tovan, from the gear requirements, gathered that the crew would probably be undertaking a ritual known as "camping". He had read about such an activity, and knew that it was undertaken in many cultures, including Vulcan, although Vulcan survival exercises were usually more rituallistic than recreational. One would not call the kahs-wan ritual at all relaxing.
As Tovan neared the holodeck, he noticed a new face coming around the corner. Since Tovan didn't recognize him, and he must be part of the senior staff, he reasoned that this must be Ensign Anthony An, the new Tactical officer.
"Ensign," Tovan acknoldged the young man with an inclined head. "I am Lt. Commander Tovan, the Chief Navigational officer."
After hearing Anthony's repy, Tovan spoke, "The Commodore is quite fond of holodeck adventures. I expect she has something interesting planned for us. Come, we don't want to keep her waiting."

"Attention senior staff, report to holodeck two in an hour. Civillian attire compulsary. Oh, and bring your sleeping bags!" Fox still sat at a table in the promenade on Bellicose as he received Sonaks call. He took a sip from his second Vulcan mocha, wondering what Sonak wanted to do, tho he had a hunch what it would be. "Still enough time to prepair." he thought as he took another sip. When he had finished his mocha he got up and walked through the promenade. After about an hour of walking he headed back to the docking bays to grab his things for the little 'adventure' Sonak had in mind. In his quarters he looked through his closets. "civillian attire" he thought "its been a while since i wore that." he quickly changed and grabbed a sleeping bag. "Well i am ready." he thought and left his quarters heading for the holodecks. As he arrived there he walked to holodeck two and saw it was already running a program. On the console he quickly looked which programs was running. It seemed to be a new program, at least he had never seen it before. "Oh well." he thought and stepped in front of the doors. They silently slided open and he was looking into a very green holodeck. Also a tent could be seen. He walked to it and saw Sonak and Jatan sitting near it. He smiled at them. "Wanted to try camping again? Hope nothing happens this time." he joked a bit.

“Are you practicing member of Judaism?” asked Dr. D'Angelo. An was surprised; not many people have heard of Judaism in Starfleet, least none An knew so far. He was also surprised with the bluntness of the question, but then again, Marco is a doctor after all.
“No, sir; I’m a Christian,” An replied to the doctor. An continued with a quote from a letter the Apostle Paul wrote to the Romans as recorded in the Bible, “for he is not a Jew, which is one outwardly; neither is that circumcision, which is outward in the flesh: but he is a Jew, which is one inwardly; and circumcision is that of the heart, in the spirit, and not in the letter; whose praise is not of men, but of God.”
By his name, An figured D’Angelo was of Italtian decent and if he was not Catholic, he was probably under strong Catholic influence. An’s family, of Sicilian decent, is mostly Catholic. An left the Catholic church, upsetting most of his family and accepted the Word of the Holy Scriptures, instead of the teachings of the Roman Catechism.
“Have you had any injuries?” D’Angelo asked. An thought D’Angelo seemed skeptical, but chose to ignore it. “No, sir, but I should have,” An commented, “been in a lot of dangerous situations, but everything always turned out okay.” An thought he caught a suspicious glance.
Commodore Sonak Reckus coughed softly and stepped into the conversation. “Usually, one reports to the commanding officer first before reporting to the chief medical officer,” the Vulcan said with a slight smile. “I am Commodore Sonak Reckus, though I will listen to just ‘doctor’ as well if I am needed,” she smiled. “Ensign An, I expect you to meet me in the brig in fifteen minutes. Though you are new, I have a first assignment for you.”
“Thank you very much ma’am, I’ll be there,” responded An to the Commodore. After Reckus turned and left sickbay, An turned again to the doctor. “Anytime you want to talk about our understanding of Christianity, please feel free,” Ensign An said to D’Angelo as he turned to leave for the brig, “I would really enjoy the conversation.”
Ensign An entered the brig in time to see the Vulcan Major Govan Echal escorting two Romulan prisoners from their cells. “Ah Ensign, you are to escort Miss Tamir to the USS Devastator brig. I will take Major Echal myself. The Devastator will transport them to Assailant, from where they shall be deported back to Romulus. Any questions?”
“May I see authorization for the transfer, ma’am?” asked the new security chief, “I’d hate to get ourselves into trouble by not crossing our T’s.” The Vulcan security officer handed An a version of a Personal Access Display Device. An scrolled through the dates and verified the prisoner transfer. Everything seemed in order, but An could not shake the feeling in his gut.
“It would take a lot to fake PADD info,” An thought to himself. He handed the PADD back to the major. Surprisingly, the Vulcan made it obvious that she thought the young ensign’s security precaution was unnecessary by giving him a sharp glare. She turned abruptly and shared her glare with the prisoner. “That’s the most emotional Vulcan I have met, besides the Commodore.
The Vulcan yanked and dragged Echal down the corridor to the transporter room as An reached for the cuffs around Tamir’s wrists. “I hope they give you the same treatment you gave my husband and my chief medical officer,” the Vulcan woman said to her prisoner. An did not feel comfortable helping with this transfer.
An wanted to alert Sonak immediately of his suspicion. But, what was he going to say, “Hey Commodore, I think this emotional Vulcan is trouble?” An knew he had no real evidence. The Commodore approved of them coming aboard and the transfer already and if anyone was going to notice this Vulcan woman’s emotions, it would be the Commodore of all people.
Tamir gave no hint of wanting to escape. She seemed exhausted and in complete acceptance of her possible sentence. There was cold silence from both the prisoners and their Vulcan escort. The aliens stepped on the transporter pad. “With your permission, Ensign,” the Vulcan security officer coaxed. An checked the coordinates that the transporter operator entered.
“Energize,” instructed the new security chief as he looked up, “I hope those Romulans receive a fair trial,” he said to the operator. An tapped his combadge, “An to Commodore Recktus, the Romulans have been transported to the Devastator’s brig.”
An walked from the transporter room toward the bridge to report to the Commodore. An’s thoughts drifted to Earth, remembering the last time he saw his friend Tito. “Help me cast my cares upon You, Father,” An prayed as he walked down the corridors.

As An thought about his family back home, the Commodore’s voice entered his thoughts. “Attention senior staff, report to holodeck two in an hour. Civilian attire compulsory. Oh, and bring your sleeping bags!”
“For a Vulcan, she sure has good taste in recreation,” reflected An as he turned from his course to the bridge. “I’ll just report to the Commodore while on the holodeck,” An thought to himself. An stopped by his quarters and changed from his uniform to his civilian clothes. He packed a change of clothes and his Bible then rolled up his sleeping bag and attached it to his pack. An grabbed his guitar, “this will be an interesting way to meet the crew,” he thought.
As An rounded the corner to Holodeck Two, he heard a voice call to him. “Ensign,” the voice called to An, “I am Lt. Commander Tovan, the chief navigational officer.”
“Hello, Commander,” An said as he extended his hand to Tovan, “I’m Ensign Anthony An, the chief security officer,” he replied, forgeting Tovan already mentioned his rank, “Looking forward to the camping trip, sir?”
“The Commodore is quite fond of holodeck adventures. I expect she has something interesting planned for us. Come, we don't want to keep her waiting,” said Tovan.
“Yes, sir, no problem. Been on many of these adventures, sir?” asked the ensign.

Joint Post between Marco and Sonak
Sonak smiled in response to Fox's joke. The fire in front of her and Jatan looked a lot better than the last time. The random fractalization algorithm that the science department had modified made the modeled wisps of flame look more realistic.
"Once everyone is in here there will be no replicating. Not for a week, at least. You know the rules." She smiled at Jatan. The wilderness was so relaxing. It was amazing that it could be in the belly of the ominous flagship of the Gamma Squadron and yet feel so real.
Tovan, An, and Fox went to replicate a tent, some food, and supplies. From the tent, crying could be heard. Jatan jumped up to tend to Miriya, but Sonak used her Vulcan strength to re-seat him. "Marco told you to take it easy." He was actually glad that he didn't have to go, he was only trying to help but would rather sit around the holo-fire and soak in the heat.
Doctor D'Angelo arrived in uniform. Alice was right behind him and chimed in. "I told him that we needed to wear civilian clothes, but he said he was more comfortable in that drab." Even though Starfleet clothing was made for an optimal comfort-to-usefulness ratio, it was nice to have a change in pace. Alice was wearing shorts and a T-shirt, with her hair in a pony tail. One could see her muscular legs. In her off time she hiked on the holodeck. The nurse was clearly ready for what Marco had not experienced since.. well, never.
"I am perfectly fine wearing my uniform. Plus, if someone gets hurt, I won't have to change into hemophobic material," he got some weird stares. "Blood resistant," he modified the statement for Fox and Tovan. "I heard about your last time camping."
Alice, out of her niceness toward the Doctor, replicated everything he'd need.
"I only see one tent, there!" D'Angelo said to Alice, winking. The flirty remark sparked an immediate response from the nurse.
"That's because you will be sharing one with Commander Byrnes." she said, winking back. This time the wink signified an ironic twist. Alice had worked long enough with the Doctor to cut him off from his playfulness before he even got started.
"Where is he anyway? I want to get set up before Sonak initiates 'dark'." It would be like her to shut the projections of the dual suns before he was set up. Especially since he didn't know what to do. The doctor, obsessed with cleanliness, did not realize until he sat down on the ground, that he was going to get dirty on this trip, with no chance of sonic showers.
Sonak came out from the tent carrying her half-Vulcan-half-Human child. "The rest are asleep, dear." The oldest had been trying and recalcitrant during the day, and having sleep bestowed upon them before nighttime officially started was a pleasant start to the camping trip. The attitude toward the sitter was the reason they brought the children along. After all, this wasn't a Starfleet mission, and the oldest were old enough to handle the rigors of camping. Jatan was incremental in convincing Sonak to allow them to come along instead of staying with someone for a week.
"Computer, initiate dusk." She looked at Marco. "You better hope Byrnes gets here with your tent soon. You have about twenty minutes before the suns go down."

"Once everyone is in here there will be no replicating. Not for a week, at least. You know the rules." Fox had the feeling he would get a 'job' to do again as he heard Sonak say this. He knew he'd been assigned to take care of the cooking several times now. "Maybe i am good at it." he thought "and thats why i was assigned to do it." Surely after the first time Sonak knew about his cooking. Fox looked at Sonak. "No replicating at all?" He asked. Sonak answered with a nod. "Yes Commander." "What about food and all?" he continued, trying to get to know what she had in mind. (Sonak) They were allowed to replicate some food , Fox walked to one of the replicators. "But this will never be enough for the whole week." he thought.

As Alex got to page 307 he fell asleep. “Attention sen ... odeck two in an hour. Civill … g your sleeping bags!” This woke Darin up, and as he opened his eyes he saw that his book was still open to page 307, he put the bookmark in and slammed the book closed, he then went to his replicator and made a bowl of breakfast, after eating that he said, “computer was there a com message 20 min ago?” “Affirmative.” “Play back the message.” "Attention senior staff, report to holodeck two in an hour. Civillian attire compulsary. Oh, and bring your sleeping bags!” With that he changed into some clean clothes and went to holodeck 3, where he raced for a while. After that he went to his quarters, showered, changed into fresh clothes, got a sleeping bag and went to holodeck 2.

After touching base with Admiral Clark, he then submitted his mission updates to the Commandants Office. Heading down to the Main Engineering deck, Logan stopped by to see his old buddies in the R&D section. Grabbing a few crates, he stacked them onto the transporter to beam to his quarters on the Vesuvius-A.
Catching the communique from the Commodore, he dropped by his temporary quarters on the Star base to gather a few supplies for the "camping" trip. Hitting the bar for some liquid calmness, he took his time getting to the Holodeck level.
Catching Commander Fox, he got informed about the new security chief and the transport of Major Echal from the Base to an awaiting transport ship. Running down the corridors, Byrne tried to catch up with the Commodore before releasing the prisoner to the USS Devastator. He had a few final shots to part to leaving Romulan officer.
As he was about to catch up, he was stopped by Doctor D'Angelo who was sporting a massive grin. Composing himself, he momentarily forgot his motive for running thru the Base like a madman.
And like a kid in a candy shop, D'Angelo promptly told him the sleeping arrangements for the little sleepover that the Commodore and Jatan were planning.
