Yahnie came out strong in the beginning of the interrogation. The entire time, the larger of the two Bajoran men stared down Nack, ignoring Yahnie and Wong's questioning. NAck eyed him back.
"I suggest you answer, Torlal." The Victory's chief security officer and marine officer both turned in surprise. Nack knew the Bajoran's name!
"I'll explain later." Nack said to the officers, "continue with the interrogation. For your sake, Torlal, you and your friend better sing. You'll find that Starfleet doesn't take kindly to an ambush of a ship's first officer."
The last time Nack saw Torlal was about 8 years ago, while he was in his parents' medical triage center. Nack couldn't recall the town now, but the patient, as he was back then, was rather unruly. It seems he was involved in a questionable transactions, to which he told Yahnie and Wong all about. Nack eventually spoiled the events about to take place, and this was his retribution. The only thing, after interrogation, was to decide what to do with him.

Nika was in her office when she received the message from Commander Matthew. She opened it, wondering what Starfleet Intelligence wanted with her. Or, as the case may be, from her. She scanned the message, then listened to it more in depth. She didn't see that much problem with the instructions, since her last message from Bajor had said a suspect had been caught and the officers were tracking down the other participants. Nika thought it might be a little soon for another mission, she would have liked to give the crew some actual shore leave time. But when Starfleet Intelligence beckoned, Starfleet Captains replied.
Nika made sure she had understood the message, before tapping her commbadge. </\>Cir'Kem to Nack. Do you think you'll be able to wrap things up soon?</\> The Victory had been given some leeway time, but Nika wanted things to be ready to move on as soon as possible.

Nika acknowledged receipt of the orders, but also informed Intelligence that, due to the present situation, the Victory might be a little late, and that perhaps, given the urgency of the situation, Starfleet Intelligence should send another ship.
The reply, which she received only shortly after that, was that perhaps then the Victory should just move a little faster and wrap up this situation, since no other ships could be spared. Nika sighed slightly, wishing things could be just a little more flexible. Since they couldn't, Nika was going to do the best with what she could. She re-entered the bridge, and nodded at Commander Matthew. “Can you have all personnel on the surface not currently involved in the investigation return to the ship?” she asked him.

With Torlal being taken away by the Bajoran authorities, and Captain Cir'Kem beckoning the crew to return to the ship ASAP, Commander Nack wandered back to camp with the other officers. Wong and Youngblood both looked a bit set back, not having custody of the attackers.
Wong flooded the camp with lights, awakening his Marines. What was supposed to be a relaxing trip planet-side had turned into an interrogation center.
Everyone was packing up when Nack pulled Yahnie and Tiberian aside. "Do you want to know the real reason I was attacked?" They both stood still, waiting Nack to continue.
"I grew up on Bajor, in a town a little ways away from here. My parents, after the war, manned an emergency medical center. That's where I received most of my medical training there, as a child." The two looked bored, so Nack moved on. "Anyways, Torlal was a buddy of mine, in my teenage years. His parents helped out mine in the camp. Torlal was always more mischievous." Again, everyone looked bored. "Ok - to make a long story short, he was caught stealing supplies, and I caught him, and turned him in. He was imprisoned, as Bajoran law was no so forgiving at that time, and neither was I- him stealing from my parents." Nack gave a look of disgust. "As they took him away, he promised to get revenge. I didn't realize that he was thinking of drowning me though!"
Captain Cir'Kem chimed in over the communicator, =/\= Commander, ready to beam up? =/\=
The portable transporter amplifiers were in place, tripods that extended about 1 meter above the ground. Wong and Youngblood reassembled with their teams, and in a series of flashes, crew and equipment were beamed back aboard the USS Victory-C.
