Raleva walked to the shuttle bay and couldn't help but feel like she'd fallen out of step with everyone else. Perhaps it had been her illness during their last mission, or perhaps it was something more fundamental. She wore a starfleet uniform and she moved just like they did and yet she was no longer a part of them. It was highly unsettling. However, as she followed in Nathan's wake she considered. She, herself, was still highly unbalanced and in retrospect it was perhaps not such a good thing that she was involved as the psychiatrist responsible for the mental well being of individuals that were about to possibly throw their lives, or at least their conscious minds, away in the pursue of some higher technology. Unfortunately, it was too late to allow her doubts to take over.
Suddenly, they were there. Nathan was talking to her. Time to return from inside her shell.
"Something on your mind counselor?" he whispered once he had approached her, "you seem to have been vying for my attention for quite some time now, tugging at my arm like that."
"Oh, no," she replied half heartedly, "Just a few random thoughts concerning the make up of the humanoid mind."
He gave her a queer look and she smiled vaguely.
"Just allowing my mind to wander, Nathan," she continued as the Colonel wished them all a good night, "I have a present for you."
She handed him the portable holo-emitter and the holonanny program she'd made.
"Or perhaps I should consider it a present for Freddie?"

Nathan stared at the object in his hands, a look of gratitude flickering across his face. "Is this what I think it is?" he querried, glancing up to meet Raleva's eyes. "Thank you," he said, his voice dropping to a hoarse whisper, "this is a very valuable gift."
A little uncertain, he took a step closer to her, wondering what the hell he was doing. She was a little over half his age, though at the moment that didn't matter. He leaned over and kissed her on her cheek. "He'll love this," he ensured her as they walked out.
He'd barely set a step outside, or someone was already tugging at his sleeve. "Dad?" Nathan glared down, hiding his surprise at seeing his wayward son outside the hangarbay. "Dad can we go see the planes? pleeeeaaase?"
"Who told you that?"
"Hanok, at school," Freddie answered innocently, "can we please see the planes? I wanna see them."
"No. And you disobeyed me! You promised to stay home and not go awandering on your own! Now I'll not show you the gift Raleva had for you."
"Awww!" Freddy whined, tugging at his father's arm. "Konak said the planes are awesome. His dad took him to see them, why can't I?"
"You are too young," Nathan answered impatiently, his bad mood back in full force. "Go home, and to bed without a story." He turned to Raleva. "I'm sorry you had to witness this. It's about time the boy learns he has to obey me and that he can't wander off as he pleases. He's only four years old...he's going to be a handful when he gets older." The human doctor sighed in annoyance. "He'll be nagging me until I show him you know...I just don't want him near those craft. They're dangerous...and I don't know what the colonel is thinking, risking his crew like this, without holodeck testing!"

*Captain's Quarters **0600 (The Next Day)
* Theel'zhiin squawked loudly while sitting on Zhukarak's chest, trying vehemently to wake his master. Zhuk looked over at the chronometer that was standing on his nightstand, it was 0600 and indeed time to prepare for another day. *(See my bio about Theel'zhiin.) "Alright, alright my friend. After I get dressed you can have some..." Zhuk had to recall the word for it again. "...bacon...that is it...bacon."
Zhukarak rose from his bed thinking of how fond Theel'zhiin had grown of this Terran delicasy. Zhukarak trodded his blue physique, clad in just his under garment, to his lavatory. With a voice command the sonic shower activated. Shedding the only garment he had on, Zhuk stepped into the shower. The sonic waves pulsated over his body like a maseuse with soft hands. Chemical cleaning agents weren't needed as Zhukarak ensured that every part of his bady had been covered by the waves.
Once he was sure that all unnecessary organisms had been removed the shower was deactivated. Stepping out of the cubicle, Zhukarak requested a fresh uniform from the replicator, along with fresh undergarments and socks. Almost fully dressed, Zhukarak entered the main part of his quarters and proceeded to put on his boots, boots he made sure had gotten a good shine the previous night. Old habits from the Imperial Guard and the Marine Corps were still ingrained within him. He had noted many of the fleeters did not care to put a good shine to their boots, and he did not make it an issue either. Everyone knew that he expected high standards and it showed in their performances. He had no complaints of this crew.
Once Zhukarak had placed his shiny boots onto his feet, Theel'zhiin could be heard squawking loudly again. Zhuk looked over at him and it was no surprise that his guardian was sitting next to the replicator, awaiting his morning meal.
"You give no quarter. Computer, four bacon strips, raw."
The computer within the replicator systems could be heard processing the request when within seconds the access panels lifted, producing a plate of meat strips, four of them as was requested. Zhukarak took one by the end and lifted it infornt of Theel'zhiin who greedily lunged at it. Within minutes all four strips were gone.
"Come." He ordered and Theel'zhiin hopped onto Zhuk's shoulder. Zhuk rarely ate breakfast in his quarters at this hour. He normally grabbed a bite in his Ready Room while going over the daily reports.
*Captain's Ready Room **0630**
Gamma shift was still in command of the bridge. Matt, along with the rest of the Alpha shift crew usually showed up around 0650 for the 0700 shift change. In the meantime, Zhuk busied himself with reports and requests before he took over command of the bridge.
One report caught Zhuk's eye, it came from one of the two security officers guarding the entrance to shuttle bay three.
To: Colonel Hrisvalar, Commanding Officer From: Ensign Forsythe, Security Officer Subject: Abuse of Security Duties
Colonel Hrisvalar,
I must report to you that an allowance was made for Lieutenant Warhol and his son to view the new experimental fighters. This occured last night at approximately 2215 hours, just shortly before you and the senior staff came by for viewing. I did not want to allow this, but I was overuled by Lieutenant (JG) Lewis who was on duty with me. It seems they are friends.
Normally I would contact Chief of Security, but as Lieutenant Commander Sharp is still fairly new to the ship, I wasn't sure how he would handle this. I knew you would handle it properly, sir. I apologize for this breach of security and for subverting my chain of command.
Ensign Clyde Forsythe Security Officer
Zhukarak was fuming. His first instinct with these fighters was to use marines for security, but he knew that familiarity with others was always a weakness for anyone. Zhukarak tapped the communicator badge n his chest, almost too hard.
=/\= Lieutenant Commander's Sharp and De Silva to my Ready room immediately. Commander Reynolds report to my Ready Room. =/\=
As it was 0645 by now, he knew that all three of them would arrive shortly. Zhukarak finished his Andorian tea when the arrivals showed up with a questionable look on their faces.
"Commander Reynolds, it seems we have a breakdown in discipline." Zhukarak handed over the PADD with the report of the incident to Matt. After he had finished reading it he passed it on to the others who also read it. Zhukarak saw Matt shake his head in disappointment.
"Lieutenant Sharp, I want you to reprimand the security officer who allowed this to happen, and Lieutenant De Silva you do the same to your science officer who was allowed access to the shuttle bay. I want to reiterate to everyone how important security is in this matter. Dismissed. Matt, stay."
The two junior officers left, obviously not happy with the situation. Zhukarak offered some tea, but Matt declined.
"I want you to go to the shuttle bay and make sure nothing seems out of place. Also, we all need to do our baseline physical before we fly those things. So make sure that you and the others get to sickbay. I shall be going there shortly. Any thoughts?"

Daran had gotten up extremely early and was sitting in the CMO's office in Sickbay, awaiting the arrival of the pilot's who would be flying the attack fighters.
Sickbay itself was empty of patients at the moment. All of the crew members who had been injured in the last mission had either been healed or transferred to the medical facilities on Starbase Assailant. As a result, there was only a skeleton staff of medical personel on hand. That would change in a few minutes though. He had ordered a full complement to report for duty at 0700, so that Sickbay would be ready to quickly process the physicals of the pilots. Daran knew that most Starfleet personel were'nt fond of being in Sickbay, so he wanted the pilot's to be checked quickly, but thoroughly.
He had decided on a fairly simple battery of physical tests, along with a single high-stress psychological test. After hearing the briefing, he had thought this would be the best approach, as being in a neural interface with a ship at high speed would be extremely hard on a sentient being.
The psych evaluation involved the subject being placed in a room and asked to perform complex course, speed and mathematical calculations while being bombarded with external distractions like loud noise, flashing lights, and physical shaking of the room the subject was sitting in.
Daran had spent an hour or so going through Starfleet standard evaluations until he had stumbled onto this one. It seemed to be the only one that might actually have situations similar to what the pilot's would face.
He had also come up with a medical team to be assigned to the Montecello for the mission. He had assigned himself, Hannah Lowell, Lt. da Silva and four med techs to the shuttle, plus whatever crew was required to fly the thing. Daran had hesitated, then also assigned Nathan to the Montecello. Nathan had been...not getting along well with some of the crew lately. Daran thought that he would take this opportunity to observe Nathan working, then decide what he would do with the civilian doctor.
From his office, Daran heard the Sickbay doors slide open. He stood up, walked over to his door and glanced out. A number of medical personel had walked in and started preparing for the pilot evaluations. Daran knew the pilots wouldn't be far behind.
He shut down his computer and went out to give them a hand.

Nathan was up early, after spending half the night being unable to sleep. Though he had every right to reprimand his son for his misbehaviour, he still felt bad about it. His mood had been foul the past few days, and he'd been reacting it off on the people closest to him. They didn't deserve this treatment, but there was little he could do about it at the moment, no matter how he tried.
He looked at the device Raleva had given him the night before and picked it up from the table. Brushing the button on the side with his fingers, the device sprang to life. A woman emerged, about his age he assumed, and she gazed about in wonder. "Where is the little darling?" she asked, jumping back as she noticed Nathan.
"My son, Freddy, is still asleep," Nathan explained, nodding towards the boy's bedroom. "He is grounded for today, for an act of misbehaviour yesterday evening. He may not go out to play, nor may he receive playmates to entertain him. He may also not use the computer today but has to entertain himself with his own toys. He has plenty and he has two cats he needs to care for."
The woman looked troubled as Nathan mentioned the punishment; it seemed a little severe. "Freddy needs to learn that whining will not get him his way," Nathan explained, guessing what she would be thinking; if a hologram thought at all. "I have to get to work in an hour, please look after my son." Nathan walked to the replicator and ordered up his usual breakfast of two cheese rolls and a big mug of cafΓ© lattΓ©. "If you need me I'll be in my office," he called over his shoulder as he walked out the door.
Later in sickbay, he just took he last bite of his roll when Lieutenant Sharp walked in. Since Daran seemed to be occupied with another senior staff member, Nathan waved the marine over. "Mr Sharp, over here!" he called, motioning to wards a bio bed. Once the marine sat down, albeit reluctantly, Nathan picked up his scanning devices. "Had a good night's sleep?" he started off his questions list. "Any pain? Experienced any loss of hearing? Sight? No dizziness? Any headaches?
He didn't give the marine any time to answer them and started poking and prodding him. "You look to be in good health," he said, nodding approvingly, "heart rate a bit elevated but that could be nerves. Are you nervous, marine?

Sharp looks around at the new fighters with amazement. Sharp has never seen anything like this before. Sharp takes a good look at the fighter that he will fly. As Sharp leaves the shuttle bay he notices a conversation between Dr. van Breughel and his son about wanting to see the new fighters. Sharp makes a note to tell the doctor that he can't let his son see the fighters and to find out who was on duty and discipline them. Sharp heads of to his quarters to get some rest.

Overall it had not been a very productive day yesterday. The senior staff had been briefed on the mission and the entire crew was informed to keep out of shuttle bay 3. Yet somehow everyone knew what was in there.
When he first saw his fighter he couldn't help but be impressed. It was definitely meant for offense and speed, something that Matt liked. Hopefully Starfleet would post a few of the fighters on the Jefferson permanently.
=/\= Lieutenant Commander's Sharp and De Silva to my Ready room immediately. Commander Reynolds report to my Ready Room. =/\=
=^=Understood, Reynolds out=^=
~I wonder what's wrong?~ Matt thought as he left his quarters. Matt was now able to read most people's emotions by the tone of their voice. Colonel Hrisvalar was obviously angry and wanted the problem resolved immediately.
"Commander Reynolds, it seems we have a breakdown in discipline." Zhukarak handed over the PADD with the report of the incident to Matt.
Matt read the PADD quickly and was unable to hide his disappointment. Everyone from the newest crew member to Colonel Hrisvalar knew the rules of the ship. The Colonel was kind enough to allow department supervisors to deal with all incidents and since almost everyone were friends, discipline was laxed. It was rare for a department head to hear any complaints, but that was going to change as of now.
"No thank you sir," Matt said as he stayed standing and at attention.
"I want you to go to the shuttle bay and make sure nothing seems out of place. Also, we all need to do our baseline physical before we fly those things. So make sure that you and the others get to sickbay. I shall be going there shortly. Any thoughts?"
"Understood Sir, and I'm sorry for allowing discipline to become this laxed. Familiarity between the crew is a good thing, but it doesn't excuse this breach in protocol," Matt replied," all pilots will receive an automated message in a few moments telling them to report to sickbay before 0800 hours. If that is all sir?"
"There is nothing more, Number 1," Colonel Hrisvalar said as he drank some of his tea.
As Matt made his way towards the lift he was surprised to see, Commander Sharp exiting the lift with a PADD in hand. It seemed that he had already spoken to his officer.
Lt. Commander Robert Sharp, Chief Tactical/Security Officer, USS Jefferson
Reprimand for Lieutenant Junior Grade Joshua Lewis, Security Officer, USS Jefferson
Lieutenant Junior Grade Lewis has been place on suspension for a week and is to remain in his quarters. I am also recommending that he be reduced in rank to ensign and a reprimand will be added to his file.
"Commander Sharp, normally I would agree with your recommendation, but this violation of protocol is severe. No one other than the senior staff and their immediate assistants should know about the fighters," Matt said," that being said Lieutenant Junior Grade Lewis will be demoted to Ensign and will perform scrub duty for an entire month. All holodeck privileges will also be voided."

Zhukarak remianed in his Ready Room until 0740, where he continued fuming about the breach in security earlier. Matt had been right, familiarity amongst the crew was the root for this cause. Zhukarak had alreayd seen the report and recommendations from Sharp, and then the subsequent changes from his First Officer, Matt. Lewis, the security officer, was not going to forget this for a long time.
Normally Zhuk would have taken over the bridge by now, but the incident and a few other reports had kept him quite busy until now. Looking at the time, he noted that he should be getting to sickbay for his pysical. Theel'zhiin had gone 'between' about twenty minutes ago as he occasionally did. For all Zhuk knew, Theel'zhiin was back in his quarters.
Zhuk arrived at sickbay and headed straight for Daran. "Doctor Keller, let us not waste anymore time please." Zhuk was still in a foul mood and he wanted to get this over with.

0600 Crusser Quarters.
Wesley was very nervous for the test flight with the fighters today. He could not sleep as walk to the replicator for some green tea. He had been lokking for 2 hours in the computer for data of starship fighters, that had been used by the Starfleet in the past. ~Can I fly the fighter.~ He thought as he only had two piloting courses while at the Academy.
Just having left port at 0730, Wesley now had 1 hour and 30 minutes, to check all the data that he could find in the Starfleet files about the flying of fighters.

"Dr.I am not a Marine I am a Star fleet security officer and have the rank of Lieutenant commander. Dr. I suggest you get a star fleet Manuel and learn what the ranks are. Wait I will have one sent down to you. No I am not nervous and i fell fine."
"What need would I have for a starfleet manual?" Nathan shot back, visibly irritated at being publicly berated for mistaking the man's rank and position. He obviously had missed the colour of Sharp's collar as well as his rank identification on said collar. "I do apologise for getting your rank wrong, I had a very bad past few days."
He paused as he continued scanning the security chief, then snapped his tricorder shut. "You're in perfect health and fit to fly," he announced, then narrowed his eyes. "About yesterday evening, my son tried to get a peek at the fighters because one of his friends had seem them. He'll be bugging me forever to go see them..." He trailed off, letting the question unfinished.
"Dr. van Breughel i am sorry but you won't be able to let your son see the fighters as of right now the shuttle bay where they are stored at only the colonel and the pilots will be allowed in the shuttle bay."
"I understand," the gynaecologist replied as he dismissed Sharp. "You may return to your duties." As Sharp walked out, Nathan turned to recalibrate the biobed for the next patient, then noticed Daran working with a visibly infuriated Andorian marine. ~seems I'm not the only one who stepped out of bed with the wrong foot first~ he thought grimly.
"Sickbay to Reynolds, please report for your physical. De Silva, please report to sickbay to start psychological evaluations of flight staff. Your first patient is already here in sickbay, awaiting your evaluation." He caught Zhuk's glare and Daran's slight shake of the head, then smiled ever so slightly. "Your own orders colonel, surely you would give the correct example?"
Again he nodded towards Daran. "If it is of any comfort, I'll go first, even though I am hardly flight worthy...I am not a pilot." Checking his PADD, he walked up to Daran and handed it over. "Equipment is ready to be beamed to the Yacht," he reported, "and I'm awaiting your next orders."

Doctor Keller finished with the normal physical that Zhukarak was very much used to by now. Zhuk thought this would be it, but Doctor Keller asked for him to follow as Zhuk was led to an isolated room.
"What is this." Zhukarak wondered out loud.
"I have decided to give you pilots a psych evaluation so that it can be used for comparison after the neural interface of those fighters...in case something went wrong."
Zhukarak was made to sit in a chair that had a control panel in front of it. A helmet came down from the ceiling, which doctor Keller then adjusted over Zhuk's head. Zhukarak could see through the visor as the control pattern lit up.
Doctor Keller went on to explain. "The control panel here is set up differently for each of you, in respect of the positions you hold...your jobs. In your case, I know that you have been a fighter pilot before and you still fly with the fighter wing on Starbase Assailant, so I have set up this panel as a fighter control panel."
Zhukarak looked at the panel in front of him. He could see the controls for thrust, heading, shields, and weapons, as well as other tactical information and ship parameters. The visor on the helmet mimicked some of the information as it was a heads up display. "Okay, so what is the catch." It was a human phrase Zhuk had learned a long time ago as he was wondering how he was being tested.
"Well, you are going to pilot your make believe fighter while I try to distract you from it as much as possible. You'll see." Doctor Keller then left the room while Zhuk went ahead and familiarized himself with the panel.
Soon he was given instructions to fly to a certain heading. It wasn't long after that when things began to go wrong with his 'fighter'. It was losing power and Zhuk was trying to compensate by diverting power from other areas. Then his visor began to inexplicably flash lights on its display while it appeared that he was under attack. Zhuk piloted the vessel to avoid the incoming missiles while still trying to keep his systems alive. Loud noises and flashes where everywhere and the control panel showed systems crashing one by one. Zhuk simply did the best he could as he continuously pressed panels for various power configurations while at the same time trying to avoid the enemy and fire back.
Then everything came to a stop. The panel went off, the helmet lifted, and lights in the room came on. Doctor Keller came in with a PADD that he was busy examining. "Not bad, Colonel. You seem to handle stress very well." Zhukarak rose to get ready for his real test flight. "You need to remember that as a marine I have already been in some serious situations. The stressors of combat fire do not affect me much anymore. I do what needs to get done until either my last breath or the last breath of my enemy. Now if you will excuse me." Zhukarak left the confines of sickbay and headed straight for the shuttle bay hangar.

Raleva was not in a particularly good mood when she recieved Nathan's summons, but she was good at hiding it. She smiled at everyone she encountered and as she closed on sickbay she all but ran into a very determined colonel.
"Captain, I had not expected to see you ... out here," she said plainly, "I was under the impression that you required a psych evaluation and considering I am the only one onboard with the qualifications necessary to give one, I thought you'd be waiting for me."
Somewhere in the back of her mind a voice screamed, 'Oh, for the love of ... what are you talking about?! Just shut up and pull the guy back into sickbay and give him the evaluation ... there's no need to go on and on about yourself like that!'
She coughed slightly trying to swallow the voice that was making her day a living hell. It took all her self control not to punch herself in the stomach ... perhaps she could hit that jackass back there. She waivered for a moment and then looked back up at the colonel, perfectly unnatural smile in place.

Zhuk hadn't gotten far as he unceremoniously bumped into his Counsellor. "Captain, I had not expected to see you ... out here," she said plainly, "I was under the impression that you required a psych evaluation and considering I am the only one onboard with the qualifications necessary to give one, I thought you'd be waiting for me."
Zhukarak was a bit confused and he could tell that Raleva was too, or so he thought as she had this weird smile upon her. "My apologies Counselor, I did not realize you had requested to evaluate us. I just finished with Doctor Keller with a different battery of tests and thought I was done, as I don't recall seeing a memo from you."
Zhuk could sense the nervousness within her and he didn't feel a berating was in order here. He did however let her know that she had failed in making the proper request for her tests. "Lead the way Counselor. I hope this is quick!"

Wesley Crusser tap his comm badge.
"Captain, must I report in the sickbay for a psych evaluation. Before I go to Fligh the Fighter" Said Crusser.
Zhukarak heard the call on his com badge and replied. "Yes, Lieutenant Crusser. All pilots need to report to sickbay for the evaluation. Coloenl Hrisvalar out."

Cyle was awake, sitting on the edge of his bed, where he had just spent countless sleepless hours. He was still unsure about flying with a nueral interface again, but he had learned that Doctor Keller was a man he could trust. Cyle had received numorous message concerning appointments and evaluations and other things the doctors were throwing at the pilots, but had so far failed to arrive at any of them. He had paced his room a few times to try and get a hold of him self, but had come to the conclusion that he was not best suited for this experiment. He was about to leave his quarters to request not to be a part of it, when his door chime rang, and the colonel was standing outside his room.
"Major, I was just coming to see if you were ready for today." Zhuk recalled their earlier conversation about Cyle's prior experiences with an integrated spacecraft.
"Uh, yes, about that sir...I would like to be excused from these trials based on what we had discussed before."
Zhukarak was disappointed in his marine officer. From the time he had met him on Starbase Conquerer he had knwon him to be a tough individual with a little bit of a chip on his shoulder. Now here he was, scared and unsure about the upcoming trials with these fighters. Of course Zhuk understood his reservations, but he wasn't asking him to do anything he himself wasn't going to be doing.
"Major, you have your assignment. You are not the only one who is taking a risk here, and I can not allow one of my senior officers to receive special treatment. Now report to sickbay for you evaluations and I will see you in shuttlebay three." Zhuk promptly turned on his heels and left the Major to ponder his thoughts alone.

Raleva had to admit she was slightly taken aback by the Colonel's attitude. He had ordered each pilot to submit to a psychological evaluation and that, by definition, was a survey of their general mental health, not a medical stress test. However, undaunted she led him back into sickbay and toward the doctor's personal office. Once there she asked him to be seated and after taking a seat herself, she began asking him a series of very specific questions.
"Captain, have you ever experienced the death of a close family member? Unit leader? Subordinate? or mate?"
<Tag Zhuk>
"Have you ever been treated for post traumatic stress disorder that related to aero or astro aviation?"
<Tag Zhuk>
"Do you feel competent to command a starship?"
<Tag Zhuk>
The colonel started to become agitated, but Raleva persisted, her self confidence, as opposed to the growing feeling of inadequacy, taking full control over her faculties. She watched the colonel's physical responses and listened to his responses. She also attuned herself to the underlying answers that seemed to flow in between the gaps in his words. He wished to be through with this evaluation, but outside of that, he appeared to be handling the evaluation itself rather well.
"Colonel, have you ever or would you ever send a crew member to their death if the need arose? And if you have, would you make the same choice today?"
<Tag Zhuk>
"Very well, Captain," Raleva replied after a moment or two, "You are free to go. Please, send in any other pilots that may have wandered into sickbay or wandered out of Doctor Keller's stress test."
<Tag Zhuk>
(OOC: I apologize for the excessive tagging, but I suspect copying and pasting things together in a joint post would work beautifully.)

"Captain, have you ever experienced the death of a close family member? Unit leader? Subordinate? or mate?"
"Of course!" Zhuk was still a little agitated, causing him to seem short with his counselor.
"Have you ever been treated for post traumatic stress disorder that related to aero or astro aviation?"
"No, never and I have not had the need to either."
"Do you feel competent to command a starship?"
Zhukarak couldn't believe the audacity of this question until he realized that it was all part of the evaluation Raleva was performing. He still didn't care for it much. "Trust me, Counselor, if I didn't feel competent to run this starship or any other, you will be the second to know." The first being himself, but he wanted her to guess who else could be first.
Zhuk sat back a moment, recalling the various times where he was in command. "I have been fortunate that it has not come to that since I have been with Starfleet. However, as an Imperial Guard Commander, I have had that displeasure of making such a request. It was for the survival of the unit as a whole, and I would make that same request if I had to do it over again."
"Very well, Captain," Raleva replied after a moment or two, "You are free to go. Please, send in any other pilots that may have wandered into sickbay or wandered out of Doctor Keller's stress test."
Zhukarak rose and headed for the door. Before he left, he looked back at Raleva. "Counselor, I was not the only one who was being evaluated just now!" Zhukarak exited, leaving her wondering if she had passed.

Nathan intercepted the marine before he could reach Daran. "This way Lieutenant," he beckoned, this time making quite sure he got the man's rank right. "Doctor Keller appears to be busy accumulating the results from the colonel's extensive testing."
He took the young assistant security officer by the arm and let him away to one of the vacant biobeds. "I will be right back, please lie down and make yourself comfortable. I need you to relax, basically. I won't be long." The assistant CMO removed himself from the visibly nervice officer and tapped his combadge. "Sickbay to Reynolds and Sharp, please report to sickbay. Right now, please. Without these evaluations you boys won't be flying your new toys. So report to sickbay, stat!"
Picking up his tricorder and scanner, as well a a tray with test tubes, he walked back to Crusser. "Right, Lieutenant..Crusser wasn't it? Have you experienced any recent injuries or ilnesses that weren't reported to the medical staff?"
(Crusser)
"Right." Nathan made a few notes on his PADD, then looked up at the younger man again. "How about allergies? Sight or hearing problems?"
(Crusser)
"Very well, I'm closing this diagnostic hemisphere over you now. It may feel a little claustrophobic but I need you to lie as still as possible now for the next two minutes."
(Crusser)
Two minutes later, the hemisphere opened up on its own accord and Nathan beckoned the security officer to sit up. "I'll have your results in a few hours." He nodded towards a little ward with a closed curtain. "Please wait over there, counselor De Silva will be with you once she is done with the colonel. Get some rest after she's done with you. If you're cleared, the next few days will be trying enough."
(Crusser)
When Crusser walked off, Nathan joined Daran in his office. "Two officers have failed to report after two requests. We can't keep paging them forever. I'm going up to the bridge to see where they're at. Crusser's going to see Raleva once she's done with Colonel Hrisvalar, though you may want to do your magic on him as well..."
Casting his boss a grim smile, Nathan slung the strap of a medkit over his shoulders and left sickbay. Minutes later, he found himself on the bridge, a place he didn't see too often. "Commander Reynolds, I believe you were paged to report to sickbay, immediately. You have failed to answer two separate pages. You will report now, or you won't fly one of those craft." Next he rounded on Sharp. "That goes for you too," he informed the security chief.

ooc this is a joint post by me and Raleva De Silva
Sharp enters the turbo lift and Colonel is in the turbo lift. "morning sir" Zhuk tells Sharp to go see the ships counselor in sickbay and Sharp exits the turbo lift and heads for sickbay to see the ships counselor. Sharp enters sickbay and heads over to see the counselor. "Counselor you wanted to see me." Raleva looked up at Mr. Sharp and casually motioned for him to take the seat opposite herself. He did so and so began the questioning. "Mr. Sharp, have you ever been aboard a star fighter?" "no I have not" "Have you ever trained for astro-aviation in a shuttle and/or worker craft?" "no i have not" (in an irritated response)
Sharp is feeling irritate due to he doesn't like counselors. He really doesn't want to be here and has other things he needs to get done before the test flights and why all these nonsense questions. Raleva could sense the young man's desire to flee, he did have other things to attend to, but at the moment her answers meant more to his mission.
"Mr. Sharp, do I have your full attention? Without a pass from me, your other duties don't even exist," she said plainly, "I suggest you keep your mind focused." "yes you have my attention" Raleva sighed and then smiled.
"Then grace me with more detailed answers. Your training regarding shuttle craft seems to be at least standard. If memory serves ... your stint on the USS Hepta brought you to a shuttle based confrontation with a Borg cube." "Yes it did at first everyone thought i was imagining the Borg cube due to what was going on so I had to fly a shuttle over to the Borg cube with the ships counselor. By then he had gone off the deep end. It basically was my survival instincts took over. But Ireally don't want to talk about it. Raleva considered and smiled slightly to herself. She wondered why he had such a dislike for counselors, then again, she wondered why anyone would dislike a counselor.
"Very well, Mr. Sharp, let us continue. If forced to ditch your craft, do you feel you would be capable of handling the stress, do you have any fears regarding such an occurrence?" : " No I don't I'm a starfleet officer doing dangerous things is part of the job." "Yes, but are you completely prepared for such an occurrence? There is more than a likely possibility that you may suffer in some way during this mission." "yes i am prepared for whatever is thrown at me." "Very well, we shall see," she said after a moment, "You have my pass, please report to the shuttle bay. I believe the Colonel will have further orders for you." " OK but first our civilian doctor is pestering me to have something medical done first" "Very well, but the Colonel will be waiting for you once you've finished." : "i will report to the shuttle bay when I'm finished here." "Good, good, if you see anyone else wandering around out there ... please send them in ... "
With that, Raleva dismissed the Lieutenant Commander with an encouraging smile.

OOC I am back now, and am currently awaiting a post from Zhuk, but i guess i can move along just a little,
IC
After Cyle had a short conversation with the Colonel, his nerves and his mind were in pieces, being a marine he would obviously follow the orders given by the Colonel, and go see the counselor, where Cyle hoped he would not be seen to take part in this experiment. When he arrived in the counselors office, it seemed as if she had been expecting him.
Cyle took a seat and waited for the session to begin, uncomfortablly waiting at that. Althought Cyle tried to put on a show of calmness, and his regular tough exterior, he knew it wasnt working with the counselor.
"Major, have you ever dealt with the death of a family member, or close friend?" Releva asked, all while reading how Cyle reacted. "no" Cyle said simply, trying to push this meeting as quickly as he could
"have you ever flown in star fighter before?" She asked quickly, giving Cyle little time to think and react the way he wanted to. ".....no" he lied, looking down at the floor, hoping the next questoins would come and go just as quickly.
<tag Releva, sorry for simming for ya alittle bit> <i should be able to respond shortly>

"No, eh Yes, I have broken my left arm on a mission on the USS Hanson. Whe were attack by a ship"
"Right." Nathan made a few notes on his PADD, then looked up at the younger man again. "How about allergies? Sight or hearing problems?"

After being away for a few months Chris Pemberton is returning to the USS Jefferson. Chris was away for personal reasons with his grandfather dying he took 2 months off to help his grandmother recover from the lost.
Chris heard from Starfleet that the Jefferson is going through a mission with there new Starfleet Fighters. Chris was on a shuttle on his way back as he got a data transfer from Starfleet to his pad with the fighter specs and a manuel on them.
"Well it looks like this will be interesting."
Chris turned off the window tints as the rader told him he was not to far from the Jefferson. He hailed the Jefferson hoping to get a reply from someone to open the hatch doors.
=/\= USS Jefferson this shuttle 007 from starfleet head quarters. I' am asking permission to land. =/\=
Chris sat a few miles from the Jefferson waiting for a reply.

While Zhukarak was getting dressed in his pressurized flightsuit his com badge beeped, it was Commander Reynolds.
=/\= Sir, you're not going to believe this...Lieutenant Pemberton has returned to us. He's landing in shuttlebay one as we speak. Reynolds out. =/\=
That was good news, he was a good pilot. With the suit starpped on, Zhukarak decided the fighter could wait as he strode over to the other shuttlebay. He had arrived at the shuttle just as the doors opened.
"Lieutenant, welcome back. I hope all is well back home?"

"Lieutenant, welcome back. I hope all is well back home?" Zhuk asked him.
"Oh yes Sir, I settled my grandmother down and got things straight back home. I'am now ready to return to service."
Chris said as he grabbed his bag off the shelf in the shuttle. He walked out onto the Jefferson shuttle bay floor and walked over to Zhuk, and stuck out his hand.
"Starfleet sent me the mission information. They said that we were collecting information on the new starfighters."
