Kristin's Point of View
She had been on the bridge when reports came in about the shuttle. She had tried to establish a transporter lock by tapping into the Ethelon's transporting technology, but it hadn't worked. Sensing that she would be needed in the transporter room, Kristin decided to leave the bridge, but made sure to keep an open comm channel to the bridge. She would need to know everything as it happened.
"Transporter room 1," Kristin said as she began to walk in place. She loved being a Starfleet officer, but these types of situations were not pleasant. In the near future, she would be manning the controls that would save a fellow crewmember. If she failed, her fellow crewmates would be dead.
"Captain, I can assemble an away team in five minutes," Matt said looking at the Ferengi," the Captain can also transport our two officers in there shuttle. I will bring along our doctor so they can take care of there injuries."
=^=Julie please report to the transporter room. I'll need your help=^=
=^=Understood=^=
No one knew the Jefferson's transporter systems better than her, but Julie Shaw was an expert in dealing with planetary transports. Kristin knew that she might be jumping the gun a little. It seemed that Matt would be leading an away mission to the planet, but she wasn't naive enough to trust the Ferengi. She would rather be overprepared than not prepared at all.
"Lt. awaiting your orders," Crewman J'Pren said as she entered the transporter room. Kristin couldn't help but smile as she saw all of her staff waiting for her to arrive.
"Ok, you three I need you to check our imaging scanners, J'Pren I need you to boost our transporters to the max, Julie, thanks for coming. I need you............."

Zhuk heard Matt’s suggestions and the Ferengi’s final comments. Zhuk’s response was for both of them. “Assemble the team, as soon as we’ve contacted the Primary Conveyor we’ll send them down.” Zhukarak gave the signal to cut communications.
It was obvious that the Ferengi was not telling the truth, but Zhuk had no proof. “Matt, contact the Primary Conveyor. I have a feeling that the Ferengi’s won’t allow a shuttle…how about if we ask the Primary Conveyor to use their transporter system. We can transport the team to Ethelon III and then over to Ethelon IV.”
While Zhuk waited to see what Matt thought, Doctor van Breughel arrived with the news of Raleva's condition. "Hm, why don't I join you to sickbay while Commander Reynolds contacts the Primary Conveyor?"

"Hm, why don't I join you to sickbay while Commander Reynolds contacts the Primary Conveyor?"
Stiffling a yawn, Nathan nodded. "Yes, perhaps a new pair of eyes can help us out," he agreed, "Daran said he was going to see what Ajus had come up with but neither have reported back. Though I believe Ajus was going back down planet to take further readings."
While they walked down to sickbay after a brief turbolift ride, Nathan filled his CO in on the data they had recovered. "Ajus was working on unscrambling the data the Ethelonians had given us, our computer was incompatible with the data we had received."
Then he paused. "Colonel, would you know how deep a sleeper doctor Keller is? I had trouble waking him earlier, when Raleva had been brought in ill, and he seemed...very absent when I last saw him. Though I have subjected him to a medical scan that came up clean, I am troubled. It could be possible he is suffering from the same as Raleva, but in an earlier stage of the illness. With Raleva I have run every possible scan I could think of, but everything comes up clean."
Together they walked up to Raleva's bed and Nathan showed Zhukarak his latest readings. The monitor at the foot of her bed kept close watch on her vital signs, and while all readings were still in the green, they were dropping slowly and gradually. "She looks asleep, but she is in fact unconscious," Nathan explained, pointing out the brainwave pattern. "No REM readings," he added, "Nurse Lowell stays with her whenever I have to see to other patients. It is not yet so busy that I need to call on the EMH, but with Daran acting somewhat strangely I don't think I can fully trust his judgement right now."
Nathan paused, looking directly at the Andorian marine. "I couldn't help but overhear that you want a medic sent back down to the planet. I'd like to go colonel, and talk to Ethelonian medics on this. I'll take Raleva's readings with me and have the EMH on stand-by to call me if her condition changes." While he talked, he went through the effort of making the unconscious woman comfortable, and he seemed to attend to do it with greater care than usual.
"Hannah, please keep looking after her," Nathan instructed his head nurse, "we'll be in in the science lab." He glanced back at Zhuk. "Ajus might be able to explain more now," he said, looking hopeful, "and I'd like you to hear what she has to say."
They walked down to the science laboratories where they found Ajus working at one of the stations. "Ajus, have you made any progress?" Nathan called, "was Daran able to make any of your findings? I'd like you to explain them to the colonel if you can."

The call interrupted the petty officer's explanation and she halted, looking at the two men that were in her company. Nathan cast a meaninful glance at the colonel, who nodded quietly in response. "Nathan here, I'm on my way commander," Nathan answered the page, "I'll be with you in a few minutes."
Casting a grateful glance towards Zhuk, Nathan raced back to main sickbay to gather a standard medkit. "Computer, activate EMH." The EMH appeared right before him, starting his usual oneliner, but Nathan interrupted him. "You're in charge of sickbay until Doctor Keller comes back on duty."
With that, the civillian doctor rushed out of sickbay, towards transporter room one. "Ready when you are," he panted as he hurried in, his exhaustion forgotten for now.

~~~~~ Marine Squad Delta~~~~~
The squad leader looked up from a report he had been filling out when the call had come in, "finally something we can do" he said as he grabbed his gear and headed out, quickly followed by the others.
"Staff Sergeant Berger lead the squad to the transporter room, where they were soon joined by Doctor van Breughel, and commander Reynolds. "SSGT Berger, reports as ordered, sir we are ready to move out when you are"
~~~~~Ethelon IV~~~~~ Cyle had managed to clear away some of the rubble, and reached the transporter pad in the shuttle, which not surprisingly was damaged by the crash. He looked around the area, hoping to find some way to get it working again. Unfortuneatly for Cyle, he was not the guy who normally repaired these, so he was at a loss. Making his way back to the main console, which after rewireing a few things, now showed life support systems and that was about all. The systems were close to failing, and Cyle didnt have much time left.
OOC i am unsure as to how i should post about being on this planet, since i cant really go outside without a suit or anything like that.

While they walked down to sickbay after a brief turbolift ride, Nathan filled his CO in on the data they had recovered. "Ajus was working on unscrambling the data the Ethelonians had given us, our computer was incompatible with the data we had received."
All Zhuk could do was to acknowledge Dr. van Breughel’s comments as he was not at all versed in the field of medicine. Just before they arrived at sickbay, Dr. van Breughel paused.
It is not yet so busy that I need to call on the EMH, but with Daran acting somewhat strangely I don't think I can fully trust his judgement right now."
“I see.” Zhukarak thought about their situation for a moment. “I’ll go see Dr. Keller in his quarters and have a word with him, observe his condition. You’ll be the first to know if I have to deem him unfit for duty.” Nathan understood what this meant, he would be put in charge.
“We have a shuttle down on Ethelon IV, not sure if our crew is with it or not. You will be needed there first before you can continue with your research with the Ethelonians.”
It was Nathan’s turn to state, “I see.”
"Hannah, please keep looking after her," Nathan instructed his head nurse, "we'll be in in the science lab." He glanced back at Zhuk. "Ajus might be able to explain more now," he said, looking hopeful, "and I'd like you to hear what she has to say."

Zhukarak prepared himself for another lengthy explanation with a diatribe of medical terminology when they were interrupted.

As Dr. van Breughel rushed away, Zhukarak decided that it would be best if he visited Dr. Keller. Arriving at the doctor’s quarters, Zhuk rang the chime to announce that he was there. There was a brief moment of silence. “Dr. Keller, it is Colonel Hrisvalar, are you well?” Zhuk was hoping for a response before he had to resort to using his command codes for entrance.

Primary Conveyor Nilas was sitting in his command chair at the Planetary Defence Facility. He had been monitoring conversations between the ships that seemed to be getting ready to fight in his space, and he wasn't very happy about it. "General Bego" Nilas said, "those ships seem to be getting ready to fight it out. Is there anything that we can do?"
The general looked back at him doubtfully. "We have no ships. We could fire our missles, but it would take them hours to get to where the ships are, with absolutely no possibility of hitting them."
"We do have Defence Plan 2" Nilas said thoughtfully.
That sentence brought the room to a halt. Bego was the first to speak. "Respectfully, sir, that action could cripple the entire planet."
The Primary Conveyor nodded. "I'm aware of that, General. Begin implemenation now so it will be ready if we need it."
The general nodded reluctantly and turned away.
"In the meantime, we will try to head this off" Nilas declared. "Get me in contact with the Jefferson."
A comm tech turned to his board and began the process. Shortly, they were in contact.
"Primary Conveyor, I'm assuming you heard our conversation with the Cert?" Matt asked.
"Yes. We have been monitoring your communications. They are being relayed to us by the Cert." Op Nilas replied.
"Primary Conveyor, would it be possible for your government to transport an away team to Ethelon III to recover our shuttle?" Matt asked.
"Yes, we can. Your ship is within range of several of our transport nodes. However, it would be necessary for you to drop your shields" Nilas said.

"Yes, we can. Your ship is within range of several of our transport nodes. However, it would be necessary for you to drop your shields" Nilas said.
"Understood, Jefferson out," Matt replied. Matt was not about to lower the Jefferson's shields without a back up plan. He couldn't leave the ship defenseless, not even for a second.
"Monica how far do the Jefferson shields extend?" Matt asked.
"About 150 meters," Monica responded.

Kalan glanced up from her monitor as Nathan the the colonel walked into the lab. This was actually the first time that the petter officer would have had a chance to speak to the commanding officer of the Jefferson. She hoped that she would sound OK. "I have looked at the data. It's fairly primitive compared to what I normally have access to. The affliction seems to have developed several generations ago in a few of the Ethelonians. As time passed, more and more came down with it. Right now, it is evident in about 2 per cent of the population. There are about 2 billion Ethelonians, so the means about 40 million affected."
Nathan took in a short gasp and the colonel looked surprised as well. Neither had any idea that the disease affected so many Ethelonians. It qualified as a planetary health crisis.
Kalan paused to let them absorb the significance, then went on. "In its' preliminary stages, the disease symptoms include physical weakness, dizzyness and severe migraines. This stage can persist for several years. The symptoms sometimes get no more severe than this, but just as often, the patient develops dementia and paralysis, then finally dies. From the records I've been given, there seems to be no obvious connections between the patients. Young, old, poor, rich. Everyone seems to be affected. However, the Ethelonians haven't developed any truly advance medical techniques. I think that if we started taking full scans and DNA samples that can be analyzed by the equipment aboard the Jefferson, we might be able to help."

Zhukarak recalled what the young Petty Officer had said about Ethelonians getting worse with every generation. Approximately 40 million where now afflicted. “I’ll inform the Primary Conveyor of our findings.” was what Zhuk had said. “First I need to send a rescue team down. In the meantime, continue with your research while I go and get Doctor Keller for you.”
Zhukarak was still standing at the doctor’s door awaiting permission to come in. He was about to knock when Matt came through on his com badge.

Casting the first officer an apprehensive look, Nathan pretended to be busy calibrating his tricorder. In truth, he had already done so when he had first returned from Ethelon IV, so there was no need to do it again. "Commander, I am not certain that using their transporters is such a good idea," he commented, "we don't know much about their technology, let alone the trustworthiness of their transporter technology."
The human doctor paused, tucking his tricorder away. "I'd rather we take the shuttle as you suggest and just fly all the way. That's likely the more safe option as well." Nathan had nothing against transporters in general, as long as they were of Starfleet origin. "I need to be able to get back to sickbay as soon as Raleva's condition changes," he added nervously, "so I'd prefer not to have to rely on alien technology to get back home."
Keeping Ajus' last report in mind, Nathan took out his tricorder again, then held a PADD in his other hand and began comparing notes. The amount of people falling ill and dying was cumulative, having started generations before, and continuing now and getting worse. As the petty officer had concluded, there was no obvious pattern as all age-groups were falling ill, from newborn infant to ancient person.
"I wonder how the Ethelonians are going to react to being nudged and prodded," he wondered aloud, "as I am going to need tissue and blood samples to get a useful idea of what makes these people work, and how to help them."

The brig of the Cert.
Sharp is in the brig pondering on how to escape. As Sharp looks around the cell he notices that there is only a bed in the cell. A few minutes later a ferengi showed up with food and when the ferengi enters and tells Sharp to stand back. Then the Ferengi places the food on the floor. Sharp moved quickly grabs the ferengi from behind grabs his phaser and shoves him into the guard. Then Sharp stuns both ferengi and drags them into the brig and raises the forceshield.
Sharp heads down the hallway and finds an empty room with a computer console. Sharp looks in the computer for enginearing and the shuttlebay. When Sharp finds where both are located. Sahrp leaves the room and heads for enginearing and as he approaches he notices that their are only 4 ferengi in enginearing and then fires 4 quick accurate bursts and stunns all 4 ferengi at once. Sharp then heads over to the console then takes the warp engines, transporter and tractor beam offline. Then fires at some of the main consoles so the ferengi can't turn on the warp engines or anything else he took offline and then heads for the shuttlebay
The Bridge of the Cert.
"damon theres phaserfire reports comming from all over the ship." Ula replies "Lockdown the shuttlebasydoors."
The cert's shuttlebay
As Sharp enters the shuttlebay theres only 2 ferengi and takes both out and enters the shuttle. Sharp presses the button to open the shuttlebay doors and nothing happens. "to hell with this" he says to himself" and fires the shuttle phasers at the shuttlebay doors to open them and as soon as the smoke clears he flies the shuttle out.
Bridge of the cert
"Damon theres an explosion in the shuttlebay and the hew-man has escaped again he must be in the shuttlecraft. Ula replies " dam hew-man. use the teactorbeam." Sir enginges transporters and the tractorbeam or offline and enginearing is a mess."
bidge of the jefferson The red alert alarm starts going off on the jefferson. Commander reynolds contacts the bridge to ask whats going on. and tatical replies that there was an explosion comming from the Cert and a shuttle craft has left the cert and is heade towards the jefferson.

Daran stepped out of the shower. His headache was now gone, washed away in the certainty of what he must now do. He quickly made his way to the computer monitor in his quarters. "Computer, show me all unencrypted information on the Jeffersons'security systems." The information quickly started scrolling past, Daran reading. But there was too much, and he was wasting time. "Computer, download to my tricorder."
The data was moved. Daran pulled on a jumpsuit and was about to leave his quarters, but stopped. He turned and grabbed the emergency medical kit he kept in his quarters, just in case and walked out the door. He turned the corner of the corridor and was walking down when he heard the voice of Col. Hrisvalar from behind him. “Dr. Keller, it is Colonel Hrisvalar, are you well?”
Of course I'm fine, Daran thought to himself. I just have a lot of work to do. Pulling the medical tricorder out of his kit. He connected to the medical database and pulled up the Jefferson's medical records. Selecting the records of Crewman Bayer and PO Ford, he used his tricorder to meld them into an electronic fusion of the two humans. The resulting record was a unique set of humanoid characteristics.
Daran then manipulated the tricorders controls, using it's power to emit the new characteristics as a field. This field would appear to be a person, but would cover Daran's own biosignature for a little while. Daran hoped that it would hide his tracks for a long time.
Daran proceeded deeper into the Jefferson, taking advantage of the empty corridors as the ship was presenly at red alert.

The Ferengi Damon was becoming more and more nervous. Things weren't going as he had planned at all. This had seemed like such a good idea at the time, however, this stupid Pakled plan seemed to be leading them directly to disaster.
His comm officer looked over at him. "There is some comm traffic between the Jefferson and Ethelon III. They seem to be preparing to beam a rescue team directly from the Jefferson to Ethelon IV."
Damon Ula was running out of options. "Run the weapons to full power and move to attack position. Perhaps if it seems that we will attack, they won't lower their shields." The bridge crew responded uneasily. Even with three ships, it was unlikely that they would be able to defeat a Sovreign class vessel. Additionally, the Orions and Pakleds weren't exactly the best allies to have in a fight against Starfleet. But they followed their orders, for now.
"Damon, our warp drive is off line!" the Engineering officer screams.
Ula looks over in shock. "Get it working"
"I can't get in touch with Engineering, and I am reading phaser fire down there" the Ferengi reported.
Ula turned to the Security officer. "Scan the brig where the Federation is."
"I'm reading an unconscious Ferengi" the Security officer reported quietly.
"Find him." Damon Ula ordered quietly. He was wondering how his crew could not manage to hold onto one little hew-mon.
"He's in our shuttle bay" the Security officer said. "Shutting it down now."
There was a brief pause, then the Cert shuddered slightly. "He's shooting at the bay doors with our shuttle."

There was no answer from the doctor’s quarters. “Computer, access code Hrisvalar Theta Nine.” The computer acknowledged his command status and opened the doors for access. Zhukarak entered and called out for Doctor Keller, but there was no answer. A close inspection of all the rooms revealed that Doctor Keller was not present. “Computer, locate Doctor Keller.” Zhukarak did not like the response he got, it seemed that Doctor Keller was nowhere onboard the Jefferson.
Zhuk rushed out of the quarters and headed directly for the bridge as he tapped his com badge. “Bridge, scans indicate that Doctor Keller is nowhere on this ship. Issue a ship wide alert for his whereabouts.” A few minutes later Zhukarak was on the bridge and in his command chair receiving reports of what was happening on the Ferengi ship.
Zhuk’s attention was grabbed by the sound of the turbolift doors opening. He had hoped to see the missing doctor, but it was a young ensign instead who reported for duty. “Ensign Crusser, I see that you have recovered from your illness. Good! Man the tactical station. We are having reports of internal phaser fire on the Ferengi vessel.”
The young ensign took his station and began making his analysis of the situation. Zhukarak turned his attention back to the main viewer. A shuttle appeared from behind vessel as it raced towards the Jefferson. Scans indicated that the Ferengis were dead in the water without engine power and it appeared they were too busy to even want to shoot this escaping shuttle.
As the shuttle got closer it was revealed and confirmed that Lieutenant Sharp was at the helm, he had escaped his captors and was heading home.

Daran had gone far out of his way to avoid being seen as he entered the Tertiary Science Labs on Deck 16. These labs weren't used very often, generally just when the ship was on a pure scientific mission with lots of extra science personel aboard. He had chosen Lab 3 of the ones that were available for two reasons. The first being that this lab had only been used twice since the ship had been launched. The second reason was that the main access trunk for the Secondary Computer Core ran through the aft bulkhead of this particular lab.
However there were some things that he needed to do before he got to that. His first action was to get an engineering kit from the repair locker in the lab. Then, Daran pulled three monitors to the aft bulkhead where the trunk ran, then sat in a chair in front of them. "Computer, how many articles are there in the Starfleet Medical Database regarding interactions between exobiological DNA?" he asked.
"One hundred and fifty-seven" the computer replied.
"Fine, download them to the monitor on my right." Daran waited a second then made his next request. "Computer, download all technical schematics and maintenance specifications for the Jefferson's secondary computer core to the monitor in the middle." There was a brief pause while the computer complied. "Now, I need all files relating to Jefferson computer security protocols. Access those through the monitor on the left."
"Now, I want the monitors to display each page of information alternately, with articles from the medical database first, the technical schematics second and the security protocols third." Daran ordered. "Do you understand?"
"Affirmative" the computer replied, then showed the first page of the DNA articles while preparing to change pages in four minutes, which was a reasonable amount of time for a human to digest such technical data.
However, after about 30 seconds Daran said "Display the information faster."
The computer followed this directive, until Daran said "Faster"
This accelleration continued until both monitors were showing new pages at the rate of one every few seconds. Daran then set the change rate even faster, until the monitors were showing a new page every second.
At that rate, Daran managed to digest the entire mass of data in less than an hour. Smiling happily, Daran started entering a complicated series of coded instructions into the computer then downloaded it into an Isolinear chip. Once that was complete, he installed the chip into his tricorder.
Once it was done, Daran closed his eyes, now truly feeling that he had the ability to do what he wanted. He opened them back up and opened the access door to the Secondary Computer Core main trunkline. It was thick, and hummed quietly while lights flashed on and off. Daran opened the Engineering kit, pulled out a sequencer and said "Computer, override all Security protocols on Deck 16 Tertiary Science Labs."
"Can not comply. Alpha Two clearance required" the computer replied.
Unsurprised, Daran picked up his tricorder, accessed the isolinear chip programming and ran it.
"Alpha Two clearance received. Tertiary Science Lab security overridden."
Nodding, Daran got to work. He quickly recoded the Security protocols for the lab, accessed the main Security database and pulled out accumulated readings for the lab, then cross patched them into the direct internal sensors and placed them into a continuous feedback loop. This would make it appear that no one was in the lab. Then he reprogrammed his medical tricorder to mask his bio electrical signature. That should also hide him from direct tricorder scans.
Once that was all done, he sat back for a moment, happily regarding the data regarding alien DNA that he had read. Now he could work in peace. He accessed the Secondary computer core with his main trunk connection, then covered the access with his new Alpha Two Security Clearance. Now he should have the computing power he needed to finish.

Location: Bridge of The Cert
Damon Ula was wondering how things had gone so badly, so quickly. Capturing the Starfleet human from the shuttle had been child's play, but now he showed an alarming ability to escape, and his crew seemed to be able to do very little to hold him. Even now, the man had managed to damage main Engineering and shoot his way out of the Cert with a Ferengi shuttle and was presently on course back to the Jefferson. This plan was going down fast, and it seemed only drastic measures would save it. Ula turned to his weapons officer. "Run the warp core to full power and shunt the energy to the weapons. Destroy that shuttle, then order our ships to attack the Jefferson!"
The weapons officer looked back at the Damon. Such drastic action was rarely used by the Ferengi. They would usually cut and run, but not today. Numbly, he started entering commands into this weapons board.
Ula smiled grimly. They would destroy the Jefferson, then steal everything that Ethelon had to offer as those primitives had no defence. He would have to share with the Orions and Pakleds, but it was better than nothing.
Location: Ethelonian Primary Defence Facility
General Brelg looked up from his readouts. "Conveyor, it looks like those ships are about to attack the Jefferson."
Nilas nodded. "It's time to implement defence plan two with the Ferengi ship." Nilas checked his tactical display. "We have 12 transporter nodes that are in range."
Brelg looked startled. "We've never tried it with a ship that big. We could completely disable the system. Besides, it has shields up."
"I know, we will transport the area of space that ship is in, not just the ship." Nilas ordered.
Brelg's eyes bulged, but he turned and started issuing orders. A few moments later, everything was ready. At a nod from the Conveyor, the plan was implemented.
Location: Bridge of The Cert:
Damon Ula was waiting for full power to weapons when his sensor officer said. "There's an energy field forming around the ship."
"Energy field? What kind of energy field?" Ula asked.
The sensor officer shrugged. "Unknown. I've never seen anything like it."
Ula looked at the main viewer, trying to see this field, but his perspective suddenly changed. Instead of seeing the Jefferson and the Ferengi shuttle, he was now looking at Ethelon III from a long distance away. He looked at his sensor officer. "What just happened?"
The officer examined his instruments in shock. "We have been transported" he reported unsteadily.
Location: Ethelonian Primary Defence Facility
Nilas carefully poked his head up from behind the table. A number of consoles had blown, the lights were out and there was a lot of yelling from the technicians as a result of their action. The room was full of smoke and people as they tried to get things reorganized. As he was looking, the emergency lighting came on. "Report!" he yelled.
General Brelg came over. "Transporting the Feregi ship has seriously overloaded our rematerialization buffer capacity and planetary power. We still have transporters, but at a very reduced level. It also burned out a number of energy relay stations. We can't do that again. We're still assessing how long it will take to repair everything."
Nilas stood up. "Fine General, but there's no need for anyone outside this room to know that. Good work." The Primary Conveyor strode over to the nearest comm console, picked up the mike and said "To all vessels, this is Primary Conveyor Op Nilas of Ethelon III. You may have noted that we have transported the Ferengi ship to the far side of our system. This conflict will cease immediately or we will use our transporters to transport your ships directly into our sun."
Nilas paused, then said "In addition, we have proof that the Federation shuttle was shot down. The Pakled, Ferengi and Orion vessels will leave Ethelonian space immediately. Nilas out."
Pakled Ship:
Captain Gralg listened to what the Primary Conveyor had to say and then looked at his bridge crew, then his main viewer where he could see the Cert, very far away. "They are strong" he muttered to himself and turned to his helm officer. It was time to get out of this system, while they still could.

ooc: I'm moving a little along guys....as nothing seems to be happening on the beaming down and/or taking a shuttle instead....and I'm a little tired of being lost. Tnx Daran for the pm, it'll be helpful.
ic:
As it was, Nathan didn't have much choice in the matter and soon they were beamed down to Ethelon III, only to take a local transporter to get to Ethelon IV. After re-materialising, the physician felt slightly dizzy and disoriented but he quickly pulled himself back together.
They were met by a tall, and what appeared to be female Ethelonian, who gazed down on them with a look what could be interpreted as disdain on her face. "I beg your pardon," Nathan commented as he steadied himself using her as leverage, "your transporting device works a little disorienting."
Looking around he noticed the rest of the team seemed to be suffering from the same effect. "We'll be fine. Please direct us to the crash-site, if you would be so kind? If there are survivors it is imperative that we get there in time."
Nathan looked the tall female over, then motioned for Reynolds and the rest of the team to proceed. "I'll catch up with you," he called over to the first officer, "there's something else I also need to attend to." He glanced up at the woman, craning his neck to be able to do so. "I would like to have a word with one of your medics," he requested as he took out his PADD and tricorder from his medical kit. "And I would like your permission to draw a bloodsample." Handing the PADD to the woman to hold on to, he pulled out a syringe.
"We are working on discovering why your people are falling ill, but we have little to no coherent data on your species ma'am, and by getting a few blood and DNA samples we may speed up our research." He took a step forward, aiming his tricorder at her. "Would you mind?" he requested again, while quietly activating his tricorder.

Cyle was fed up, sensors showed that he had less then 30 minutes of life support left in the broken down shuttle. He was tired, angry, and ready to get out of this shuttle. He looked around the shuttle, spotting one area he hadnt looked at just yet he moved over and started to pull things away from it, finding something that made him smile. "oh look, a bio-suit, just what i needed" He said semi-sarcastically. He shrugged his shoudlers and put the suit on, then headed back over to the door. Opening a panel, he grabbed all the wires he could and ripped them out, the door finally open and Cyle stepped out.
"Major Johnson to any one, can you hear me" he said tapping his commbadge. Stepping away from the shuttle he looked around at the planet, without a tricorder he couldnt make any kind of reading to tell weather or not he could breath without the suit, so he kept it on.

Location: Central Defence Facility; Ethelon III
Primary Conveyor Nilas sat back in the command chair as order was slowly restored. Although he wasn't about to admit it to any ship, their transport of the Ferengi vessel had also completely blinded them. The facility he was in couldn't contact the main telescope array right now, although he had been promised that contact would be resumed shortly. He could only hope that all ships were complying with the orders that they had been given.
General Brelg walked up, interrupting his thought. "Sir, we have a request from the Jefferson. They wish to use our transporter network to move a landing party from their ship to Ethelon IV."
Nilas nodded. "That's fine, General. Just try to conceal the state of our planet right now."
The General looked doubtful. "They will have to send their coordinates. Once we have them, it should be no problem."
The Conveyor agreed and the General walked off. Nilas then requested to speak to Examiner Emm, Ethelon's Chief Medical Officer. She was on the line quickly. "Examiner Emm, " Nilas began "the Federation ship is sending a landing party to Ethelon IV to recover any survivors from their downed shuttle. Please put together a team to recover them. Make sure you take some security."
The Examaniner acknowledged and closed the channel.
Location: Ethelon IV
Primary Examiner Emm materialized inside the transport biodome on Ethelon IV and looked around. She had a small team of medical personel and a squad of Ethelonian soldiers with her. She also noticed that the team from the Jefferson was already there, and there was a human doctor speaking to an Ethelonian. Emm walked over and listened in. It seemed that they wanted DNA and blood samples to further their efforts to find a cure.
The Ethelonian looked to the Primary Examiner for some idea as to what to do. Emm nodded and the Ethelonian offered up her arm. "I'll give a sample next" Emm declared.
<Nathan>
"I'm happy to hear that doctor. I realize that although we have excellent transporter technology, our medicine isn't up to Federation standards. Is there anything else that I can do to help?"
<Nathan>
Emm nodded then turned to Commander Reynolds. "Commander, I have brought a squad of Ethelonian soldiers with me. If you are willing, they will accompany you to your crash site."

Captain Und examined the tactical report from his command chair on the Daro in a rage. The damned Ethelonians had somehow managed to transport the Ferengi ship, and as he watched it turned and warped out of the system, and the Pakleds weren't far behind. Cowards, the Orion captain thought to himself.
The Ethelonians had obviously been holding out that piece of information. The Orion captain shook his head. He couldn't even think about the capacity required to transport an entire starship. Luckily, he had some unexpected counter measures of his own. "Activate the cloaking device!" he snarled.
He knew that his ship was now invisible. One of the advantages of knowing a more unscrupulous member of the Tal Shiar is that they occasionally were willing to give up items that were impossible to get any other way, such as the cloaking device that was presently working in the Daro's Engineering Section.
"I need a short warp jump to Ethelon IV" Und ordered "and get a heavily armed landing party ready. If there is a Starfleet officer down there. I want him. And grab any Ethelonians you see as well. They can be sold elsewhere."
His orders were followed quickly. Und sat back and scowled. If there was anything he hated, it was a group that concealed the truth. The only thing he hated more than that was being outsmarted.
