Location: Bridge of the Orion ship Daro
First Officer Kaynar sat in his chair as reports came into him from various departments. The forward shields were down to 67 per cent and had been disrupted for a few seconds, which had allowed the Jefferson to beam off all of the prisoners, including the Ethelonians. Deck 7 had taken some structural damage and there were casualties making their way to Medical. The Ethelon system had not proven to be the money making enterprise that they had been promised, Kaynar thought to himself. Right now, he'd be happy if they could just leave. He contacted Engineering. "What's going on down there?"
The chief Engineer got on the line. "Forward shields damaged, impulse and warp offline." He paused. "OK, engines online again, but we haven't had time to repair the warp field initiation matrix so we still can't go to warp. No hope on the cloaking device."
Kaynar sighed. "Keep working on the matrix. Bridge out." Kaynar looked at the tactical readout. The Jefferson was too close. He was in a difficult spot. The Daro was really no match for a Sovreign class. The Federation vessel was much more heavily armed and shielded. However, the Daro was lighter, but had impulse engines much larger than necessary. It would give them an advantage in maneuverability and acceleration at impulse, and since the Jefferson had not answered his hail, Kaynar had to assume that the commander of that ship wanted to fight it out. Kaynar needed some distance between his ship and theirs. At least the Jefferson wasn't moving right now. "Helm, lay in a course of 117 mark 5, full impulse and initiate at my mark! Tactical, prepare 5 fusion mines and release when we are closest to the Jefferson."
The helm officer looked over at him. "That is nearly a collision course" he protested.
"Yes" Kaynar replied. "They won't be able to fire torpedoes or phasers when we are that close, and they aren't fast enough to get away from the mines. Initiate new course now!"
The helm officer nodded and entered the commands. On the main screen, the Jefferson quickly grew extremely large as the Daro followed it's course. "Release mines now and initiate evasive maneuver carom 4! Aft sensors on screen."
On screen, the mines detonated fairly close to the Jefferson, which had been trying to move away from the 5 mines. The Federation vessel fired several phaser blasts at the Daro, but only two hit, damaging the aft shields. Kaynar decided to try again. "USS Jefferson, this is the Daro. I really have no wish to continue this conflict. We will leave this system right now, but if you attack again, I will have no choice but to answer in kind. Please respond."

Cyle glared at Nathan as he reluctently went back to his biobed, where he layed down. Surprisingly Cyle felt the familiar pull of sleep over taking him. With a final sigh, he fell asleep and restes his body.

Nathan smiled down on Raleva, while assisting her in sitting up and placing a few pillows behind her back to support her. "No, you're most definately not dead," he answered as he sat down on the bed beside her, "and I am very much relieved to see you are awake."
He moved on to cradle her in his arms, trying to comfort her rising panic. "You collapsed shortly after beaming aboard from Ethelon, and you have been unconscious for several days. I was very worried about you as you were near death."
His smile vanished from his face as he released her and held her at arm's length. "Yes you are suffering from the same disease that the Ethelonians are suffering from, we were able to gather that much. However we are no closer to finding a cause or a cure, though the Ethelonians have now provided us with DNA samples. I hope we still have those samples as when we went to recover Cyle.." Nathan motioned over to the biobed where Cyle was now sleeping. "...as his shuttle had crashed. However when we got to him, Matthew, Cyle and myself were abducted by Orions."
Now he smiled softly again. "You should've seen Matt's face when we were surrounded by four Orion women...the look on his face was priceless. You would've loved to see that, really you would've." Nathan continue to relate the events as they had happened, in the chronological order. "You must rest now Raleva, I'm not letting you up just yet. If you wish to help me in this, I can get you computer access if you promise to stay put. I have to divide myself between Cyle, Daran and you at the moment as I've sent Hannah to bed."
Nathan stiffled a yawn. "And I could do with some sleep myself too. I just won't activate the EMH when there's no real emergency going on here in sickbay. I'll rest as soon as I get the chance, don't worry."

Zhuk sat there for a few long seconds, gauging the Orion ship. Communications from sickbay came through, causing him to lose focus for a moment.
=^= Major Johnson to Colonel Hrisvalor, safe to say I'm alive and in good health now. =^=
=/\= Colonel this is Nathan. Major Johnson is far from being in good health as he puts it and for now he's confined to sickbay. He'll be allowed to receive updates from his department, but he's not allowed to go anywhere. He's still very week and needs his rest." =/\=
“Understood, doctor. Release the Major at your discretion.”
It seemed that Zhuk had taken too long to for a reply to the Orion ship as it started its impulse engines and was heading directly for the Jefferson. “Evasive maneuvers now!”
The Orion ship and the Jefferson mirrored each other as they both turned opposite directions at what seemed to be the very last minute. As soon as the Orion ship was off screen, the Jefferson rocked and shuddered violently.
“Shields at seventy percent.” Came the report. Zhukarak wasn’t sure what he Orion’s had hit them with, but it was gutsy considering their close proximity…they were desperate.
“Return fire!” Phaser blasts rang out, two of them hit. Before Zhuk barked out more orders, they were interrupted with another message.
"USS Jefferson, this is the Daro. I really have no wish to continue this conflict. We will leave this system right now, but if you attack again, I will have no choice but to answer in kind. Please respond."
~Attack again?~ Zhukarak thought knowing that it was the Jefferson that had been responding in kind. This Orion First Officer was truly inexperienced and scared.
“This is Colonel Hrisvalar, Commander of the USS Jefferson. Lower your weapons and we shall lower ours. My crew has been safely returned and I too have no desire for further escalations.”

Raleva glared at Nathan as he went on about how she wasn't to move. She could hardly speak and he was acting like she was going to jump up and run circles around him. Of course, she could tell he was exhausted so perhaps he just wasn't in his right mind.
"N-nathan," she whispered sleepily, "Turn on EMH ... rest ... before you die."
<Tag Nathan>
She smiled vaguely at the ceiling and faded back into unconsciousness before a sliver of pain ran down the length of her spine. She was so weak she couldn't move, and yet as her nerves responded to whatever that horrible stimuli was her entire body curled up and suddenly she was sitting up and breathing like she'd previously been drowning, a cold sweat streaming off her face. Oh, she was wide awake now.

The ship-to-ship intercom crackled again. “This is Colonel Hrisvalar, Commander of the USS Jefferson. Lower your weapons and we shall lower ours. My crew has been safely returned and I too have no desire for further escalations.”
First Officer Kaynar was nervously tapping his fingers agains the arm of the command chair. Those phaser shots from the Jefferson had seriously damaged his aft deflectors and destroyed a bank of plasma relay conduits on Deck 9, yet another reminder that the Daro was no match for a Sovreign class vessel. He was about to reply to Col. Hrisvalar when he was interrupted by a priority internal comm message.
"Bridge, this is the Chief Engineer. We have a serious plasma fire on Deck 9, and the fire is directly above our trilithium storage unit on Deck 12. If we don't get it under control, the plasma will burn through the deck and set off the trilithium, which will destroy the Daro! I don't have enough people or resources to fight the fire."
Kaynar put his head in his hands. It was a lot to respond to. He turned to the second officer. "Start an evacuation of decks 8, 9 and 10. Once everyone is out, blow the emergency hatches on those decks. The vacuum will put out the fire. Also, start on a process to move the trilithium to the secondary storage unit, in case the fire continues to burn." The second officer nodded reluctantly and started giving orders to the bridge crew. Kaynar then glanced over at the comm officer, getting him to open a channel to the Jefferson.
"Col. Hrisvalar, this is first officer Kaynar. I am taking my weapons offline now, and in fact I may have to lower my shields in a moment as there is serious damage to the Daro. I am offering my surrender of the Daro, if you wish to accept."

"N-nathan," she whispered sleepily, "Turn on EMH ... rest ... before you die."
"Die?" Nathan laughed, "not quite my dear. You ought to know by now I'm a little more resilient than that." He pressed a hypospray against her throat, hearing the soft hiss as the contents were released into her bloodstream. "I've given you a very mild sedative. Sleep now, I'll be on that bed overthere if you need me." He nodded towards a neighbouring biobed and walked towards it.
Nathan lay down on the biobed, almost instantly asleep the moment he lay down. He hadn't intended to fall asleep of course, merely pretend he was going to so that Raleva was put at rest. He woke as he was violently shaken and he opened his eyes to look up into the eyes of a nurse he didn't know. "Doctor, she's awake again," the nurse urged him on.
"Activate the EMH," nathan murmured as he drifted off again.
The nurse shook him more persistently, pulling him upright. "Not a good idea doctor," she insisted, "she's focused on you. I'm not gonna put that grumpy old sod on her, you're her doctor."
"Grumpy old...?" The nurse obviously didn't realise that he wasn't exactly young anymore either. Coming closer to 50 standard years old, he was what used to be termed 'over the hill' and nearing 'middle aged'. "All right all right, I'm coming," he growled as he followed the nurse.
Nathan walked up to Raleva, tilting her face up to force her to look at him. She was breathing fast and hard, her hair sticking to her face as sweat poured down her cheeks. "Raleva?" Gently he slapped her cheeks to get her attention. "Raleva look at me!" Her eyes focused on him and his brow creased in concern. "Raleva, everything is all right. You're in sickbay and you're safe. Everything will be all right. Do you trust me?"
(Raleva)
"Good," Nathan nodded as he eased her back down on the bed. "Sleep now and you'll feel better in a few hours. Do you want anything to help you sleep? Shall I have the EMH keep an eye on you?" His eyes were narrowed with his own tiredness and he didn't even bother to stiffle another yawn. "I'm here with you, I'm just going to sleep on that bed overthere. Or do you want me to stay with you? I can just as well sleep in that chair if you like..."
Turning to look over his shoulder, he noticed Daran was looking at him in keen interest. "And Doctor Keller is also awake to keep an eye on you. He'll alert me if something happens." He gazed intently at the CMO. "Won't you Daran?"

Cyle lay listening to Nathan speak, for some people it was easy to fall asleep in sickbay, especially after what Cyle had been through. But Cyle was not "some people" and had trouble sleeping, having to always listen to people talking and going about there business. Besides, Cyle was used to not sleeping much while living on the streets and fighting for anything he wanted. "Doctor, if you wouldnt mind i'll keep an eye on her, as well Doctor Keller, since he is behind a force field" Cyle said, leaning up to rest on one elbow, while looking at Nathan and Raleva.
<tag Nathan>
"Doctor, telling me to get some sleep, is not going to make it happen, you need more sleep than I can get. I'll keep an eye on both of them, Marine's honor" Cyle said more intensely, sitting up and letting his feet rest on the floor. He stood slowly at first, then stepped towards Nathan and Raleva. Getting a better feel for things, he smiled annoyingly as a nurse came to his side. "See? I can stand just fine"
<tag Nathan>
Cyle walked over to Doctor Keller's "cell bed" and looked at him. Passing him by, Cyle went over to a few panels, looking at them as if to pass time. Spotting a nurse to his right, he went over to watch what she was doing. "Yes major? did you need something" she asked when she noticed Cyle watching her. "no, nothing at all, just wondering what you were doing is all. You wouldnt happen to have any kind of medic classes or something like that i could take would ya?" The nurse looked at him rather surprised, smiling at him. Cyle quickly put on a more seriously tough guy face, "its just, i dont like being in here, and would prefer to fix my self"

Darans' eyes fluttered open. He had the worst headache he could ever remember. Those drinks with Fellana had really given him a bad hangover. I hope that she's not suffering as badly as I am, he thought to himself.
As his eyes came into focus, he realized that he was not looking at the interior of his quarters, which was really the last thing that he could remember, but at Sickbay. And he was lying on a biobed. He tried to sit up, but couldn't. There was obviously a restraint field in place. Daran looked around. A security officer was eying him cautiously with one hand on a phaser, suddenly on high alert now that he was awake. The doctor started to feel cold. What had he been doing that would require a restraint field and an armed guard?
A voice interrupted his panic. "And Doctor Keller is also awake to keep an eye on you. He'll alert me if something happens. Won't you Daran?"
Keller looked over to see Nathan standing over Raleva, who was in another biobed. "What's going on Nathan? Why am I here?"
<Nathan>
Keller digested that information incredulously. Circumvented security? Completing unauthorized research? Stealing access codes? It was too much to take in right now, so he went to what he knew. "What's wrong with Raleva?"
Nathan shrugged. "We're not sure yet. She collapsed while on Ethelon III. It might have something to do with the disease that they are suffering from, but we haven't been able to figure it out yet."
"May I see her medical records?" Daran asked, desperate to keep his mind off the possibilty that he might be charged with...whatever it was he had done.
Nathan glanced at the security officer, who nodded silently. There was little the CMO could do while restrained. Dr. van Breughel moved a monitor so that Daran could see it and pulled up Raleva's entire medical history. Daran nodded in thanks and examined the first page, then said "Computer, next page." Daran repeated this phrase for about 30 seconds, until he had gone through it all. "Computer, retrieve all transporter trace logs for Lt. Raleva de Silva." He then spent another 30 seconds or so going through all of that.
"Raleva is suffering from a neurological disorder. The neurotransmitters of about 1 percent of her brain's neurons has been altered very slightly. The change has resulted in a partial cascade failure of her cerbral cortex" Daran said.
Then he looked over at Nathan and Raleva, who were looking at him in shock. "What's the matter?" he asked. "The diagnosis wasn't really that dramatic."
"There was over 50 pages of highly complex medical data in that chart and the transporter trace logs. You went through it all in less than a minute" Nathan said quietly.
Daran stared back. He hadn't even noticed the time. But he did remember everything he had read and the diagnosis seemed obvious. "Computer, retrieve all medical records for Lt. Daran Keller." Daran went through those as well, paying attention to the passage of time. It took him a few seconds longer, but he still went through the mass of information in about 30 seconds. There was no way that he could do that under normal circumstances.
"I have been given a dosage of a strange mix of actinides, serotonin and a few other chemicals I can't identify. They have caused my neurons to have an activity rate of over 50 percent" Daran said. "Under normal circumstances, that would cause severe seizure and death but it appears that I'm still alive. These chemicals have dramatically increased my ability to diagnose, collate data and remember things that I have done in the past. I would expect that my cognitive abilities are 4 to 5 times greater than they were before. However, this effect will be over within a day or two."
Nathan and Raleva remained silent after Daran finished. Major Johnson stood from his biobed and did some walking around sickbay, allowing Daran to see and assess him. "For example, Major Johnson here is showing a slight limp in his left leg, his left pupil is slightly dilated, is slightly flushed and I expect has a minor headache that he isn't telling us about. Those symptoms lead me to believe that he has developed an intercranial bleed in the last few minutes and will require the use of an neural cauterizer to fix him up."
Cyle looked down in some surprise, which gave Nathan a moment to scan him with a tricorder. Without comment, Nathan then picked up a neural cauterizer and waved it over Cyle's left temple.

"Doctor, if you wouldnt mind i'll keep an eye on her, as well Doctor Keller, since he is behind a force field"
Nathan nodded. "Consider yourself put on guarding duty here in sickbay. However if things get rough, you're to stay out of it, got it? You need rest and plenty of sleep or you'll collapse on your feet!"
"Doctor, telling me to get some sleep, is not going to make it happen, you need more sleep than I can get. I'll keep an eye on both of them, Marine's Honour."
"Yes I know I need sleep," Nathan sighed, "and that was exactly what I was trying to do." He smiled grimly at Raleva. "Not your fault honey, just the turn of events that kept me from my beautysleep." He was relieved to see that drew a smile from her.
"See? I can stand just fine"
"Yes I can see that major, now please stay off your feet as much as possible." He pointed towards the chair that was halfway between Raleva's and Daran's bed. "Sit down there," he ordered, though he wasn't surprised that Cyle ignored the order and shrugged. "Suit yourself then."
Nathan explained the situation to Daran, noting the doctor looked genuinely stricken. "I'm going to lift the restraining field," he said, "but I'm keeping the forcefield around your bed. Stay within a meter from your bed, or you'll hurt yourself...badly."
He and Raleva watched in amazement as Daran explained his new abilities. "Guard, keep your phaser on the doctor, I'm lowering the forcefield to enter and give him a full medical." He ran a scanner over Daran's body. "Whatever it is you just said you've been administered, it's wreaking havoc in your body. How do you feel?"
Nathan took a deep breath, balancing himself on the edge of the bed as he threatened to topple over with fatigue. "Can we discuss this in a few hours? I really need some sleep now...guard, have someone sent to my quarters to look after my son. He'll be worried about now..."

Cyle listened from afar as Doctor Keller rattled on about having some new powers or something, whatever it was it made him remember things and let him tell people more about the problems they had. Cyle rubbed his left temple quickly, passing it off as being tired, until Doctor Keller said something about cranial bleeding, Cyle looked down at his legs to see if he could tell he had limp or not, and Nathan rushed over with a tricorder to scan him. Cyle was about to fight him off, but realized it was no use and submitted to being treated. He noticed the "headache" he had tried to push aside was gone, and he could see a little clearer now.
Cyle stood near Raleva and the Nathan as he lowered the forcefield, ready to offer aid if needed, but Cyle was sorta releived when all he had to do was help Nathan to lay down. "Doctor, are you sure your alright?" Cyle said to Daren, watching him in his own ways to learn what he could of the Doctor.

"Colonel with the situation with the Orions is over I'm gonna head down to sickbay and talk to DR. Keller."
Sharp enters the turbo lift "deck 16". The left moves towards deck 16 and stops and Sharp exits the turbo lift and heads towards sickbay and notices that Dr. Keller is no longer restrained to the bio bed. "Ensign who let Dr. Keller out of his restraints?" The Ensign replies "Dr. van Breughel let him move around but is still behind a forcefield". "thank you ensign you are dismissed. The ensign leaves sickbay.
Sharp notices Major Johnson resting on a Bio bed and goes over to the major. Major Johnson I want to know who did this to the doctor and why> I was thinking about putting a tracking device on Dr. keller and let him complete his mission then you and I can bust em. How does that sound?"

"The surrender of your vessel will not be neccessary. We'll help in the retrieval of your escape pods. I'm sure the Ethelonians will be gracious hosts if you become ship-wrecked."
Zhukarak ceased communications. "Lower shields and make and alert rescue crews. Have any survivors transported to Ethelon III as soon as possible. I don't want them on my ship if I can help it."
Crews were alerted as the Jefferson decreased it's alert stage from red to yellow with shields down. Zhuk sat in his chair watching the events unfold.

Raleva heard her diagnosis and sighed.
"Thanks, doc, just what I wanted to hear ...," she whimpered as she mused on why she had joined starfleet in the first place.
"Starfleet! The only profession in the galaxy where you can trek through the stars, have your DNA mutated, your brain fried and de-fried, and your body explode in pain all at the same time!" she murmured to herself irritably. She laughed bitterly as Nathan moved inside the forcefield to check Daran himself.
"Next thing you'll be telling us you can walk up walks and swing around on string that shoots out of your wrists ..., " she ambled on with wild abandon, "Good grief, I don't think I can stand this much longer ... I can't sit, I can't lay back, I can't think without pain. Damnit all, why did I ever come out here? Nathan, can you tell me why I joined starfleet ... wait, no, Dr. Keller, you're the supergenius in the room ... can you tell me why a sane, rational human being would join Starfleet?"

Nathan sighed as he allowed Cyle to guide him to the nearest available biobed, silently wondering why he had let himself be talked into joining a starship. Starfleet officers were the worst kind of patient one could deal with. "Computer, activate EMH," he ordered, sounding resigned and exhausted.
He listened in annoyance as the EMH rambled off his usual statement about medical emergencies, then pointed towards Daran. "Keep an eye on him, he's been poisoned. Keep the forcefield and don't let anyone talk you into lowering it." Nathan glared pointedly at the CMO. "Especially not the CMO, his authorisation codes have beem rescinded until further notice."
Nathan watched the EMH busy himself with the CMO, then returned his attention to Raleva. "What was that honey?" Raleva's expression turned to one of rage. "Why did you join Starfleet? Well I suppose to see the stars and the ongoing adventure of being in space? Other than that I wouldn't know honey, I'm not starfleet. I'm just a simple doctor serving aboard a starship, and trying to keep everyone out of trouble. Yes dear that would include you. Now please, lay back and rest...then I'll try the same before the next emergency turns up."

Raleva glared at Nathan once again as he attempted to drift off to sleep. Normally, she would have let him fall asleep without incident; however, in her current state she was not inclined to allow someone else to sleep while she could not.
"That should be soon," she replied snappishly, "you can set your watch by the emergencies on this bloody ship! If I'm not passing out on some strange planet I'm ... well ... what did happen to me before?"
She considered a moment.
"I don't remember ... see, that's another thing! Bad things happen and you'd even remember them! That's almost worse than remembering them in the long run ... leads to nightmares, that does, nightmares, Nathan!"
She was almost determined to keep him awake if only through the force of her voice.
"I'm surprised I haven't had nightmares already! This whole incident! It's all subliminal ... I may not have been awake during most of it ... but it'll seep in! It always seeps! If there's one thing I can't abide it's seepage!"

Cyle listened to Raleva speak, or more ramble about herself and her predicament. He shook his head form time to time, only listening and watching Doctor Keller from the side of his eyes. He looked over to the door when he heard it open, watching Lt. Sharp enter, seemingly unhurt. "Ensign who let Dr. Keller out of his restraints?" The Ensign replies "Dr. van Breughel let him move around but is still behind a forcefield". "thank you ensign you are dismissed. The ensign leaves sickbay.

"Lieutenant, need i remind you that i have not been on this ship for quite some time now, what exactly are you talking about?" Cyle asked almost nonchalantly, waiting for an answer as he looked around a bit.
<tag Sharp>
After listening to Sharp go on about what the doctor had done, Cyle gained a look of confusion on his face. "Is all this true Doctor?" he asked Keller, getting up to move closer to him.

Nathan was too tired to listen to the exchange that occurred first between Sharp and Johnson, and then between Johnson and Keller. He was nearly asleep when he was jolted back to full awareness by Raleva's voice ringing rather sharply through sickbay. Sighing, he rolled over to lie with his back towards her, trying to make a point. He just wanted, no needed to sleep for a few hours. However Raleva didn't stop her rambling, in fact his ignoring her only seemed to spark her need to get his attention and keep him awake. It was as though, since she couldn't sleep, he wasn't allowed to either. Sighing again he rolled over to face her, his face a mask of exhaustion and annoyance. "Raleva please, keep your voice down...we've patients in here." Raleva merely glared at him and continued her loud voiced ramble about lack of sleep, nightmares and whatnot. She had sat up now, even though she was swaying back and forth, fighting gravity that threatened to pull her back down. "You don't know what it's like," she continued her rant, "you just don't know!" "That's it," Nathan scowled, climbed off the bed and fished for the hypospray in his coat, then slammed a vial of sedative home in the device and keyed in the dosage. "I'm going to have to sedate you love. I really don't want to do it but you leave me no choice. Now please, lay back down." He pressed his hands against her shoulders and gently tried to lay her back down. The flat of her right hand connected soundly with his cheek, and even though through the weakness of the slap it didn't hurt, it startled Nathan no less. He took a step back in surprise, saw the frenzy in her eyes and shivered. He'd not yet seen her this mad before and it scared him. Even though he was loath to do it, he slapped her in return, hoping it'd get her attention. Instead, she slapped him right back. She fought him as he tried to administer the sedative and it was exhausting, especially as no-one was around to help him out. Either that, or no-one noticed what was going on. By now he was sitting on her legs, trying to put the restraints on her that would keep her down on the bed and she was starting to scream in fury. "Raleva please," Nathan whispered, at the end of his strenght himself, "you'll only hurt yourself." At long last, her fighting crew weaker and eventually ceased altogether. However Nathan's own strength had faded completely as well due to his already existing exhaustion and he collapsed on top of her. (raleva finish this

"Lieutenant, need i remind you that i have not been on this ship for quite some time now, what exactly are you talking about?" Cyle asked almost nonchalantly, waiting for an answer as he looked around a bit.
"Major Dr. Keller has broken so many regulations its hard to know where to begin. Dr. Keller used unlawful security codes to break into certain databases, resisted arrest twice, unlawful use of the transporter. We have chased and searched for him all over the ship. I know he didn't do this on his own free will I want to know who did this to him not only is it a security threat to the jefferson its a security threat to the federation."

Rali had no idea why she just couldn't stand being sedated. A rather large part of her mind was begging to be knocked out and yet, a small percentage that was offended by everything was currently in power.
In all honesty, she had no idea why she slapped Nathan across the face in fact, she was certain that it hurt her more than it hurt him.
When his hand found her face she almost died from shock. That was the last thing she'd expected, but then again, she did deserve it. Of course, that thought didn't exactly register before her hand was up and flying of its own accord. Somewhere in the back of her groggy, imbalanced mind it occurred to her just how silly this whole occassion really was ... but she didn't really have time to enjoy that fact.
Before she knew it Nathan was on top of her and exhaustion was seriously killing her. Raleva didn't even feel the hypospray touch her neck. However, with or without the sedative she realized she couldn't fight him any longer and it was also around that time that her lights went out. There was a disconcerting weight on her chest, but her brain overrode all her other systems ... it was sleepy time and there was just no fighting it.

Cyle looked over from talking with Keller to watching Nathan and Raleva fighting, he himself had not known either one of them very much, and was surprised to see Nathan slapping her, even after he had been slapped. Cyle rushed over as quickly as he could, but then realized it was something between the two, and nothing Cyle could have done would have helped any. However as soon as Nathan had collasped, Cyle started to move him off of Raleva's body, and back onto the bio bed he had been on.
With that finished, he turned back to Lt. Sharp. "i dont think we need to drug him, or put a tracking device on him any longer, i dont think who ever did that to him will be coming back for him. If they do, well thats why he is behind a forcefield. However, we will be keeping constant survaillance on him." Cyle looked at the EMH, who nodded in response. "Go ahead and get a guard back up here, i dont plan on staying here all day, i need to sleep as much they do." Cyle said pointing at Nathan and Raleva, as he noticed he himself was feeling the effects of being beaten and smashed.

Location: Undisclosed Location: Ethelon III
Ral only had a small computer to use and the analysis of the message from the Starfleet doctor was taking a long time. He was just thinking about getting something to eat when his console beeped it's readiness. The Romulan sat forward and accessed the results. It seemed that the message was a fractal code with a 289 bit encryption process embedded in it. It was obvious that whatever research doctor Keller had done was still on the ship.
Therefore, what he actually had was the code key to retrieve the research from the Jeffersons' computer. The doctor must not have been able to beam the entire mass of information off of the ship. Therefore, he had hidden it with some type of fractal encryption.
Ral sighed. He really hadn't wanted to have to board the Jefferson, but it seemed there was no choice. He tapped his communicator. "Quinn, Emman, Fellana. Come to my quarters immediately."
He received acknowledgements then sat back to wait. He hoped that Quinn and Emman had come up with a great plan to board the Jefferson. They were going to need it.

Location:Primary Defence Facility, Ethelon III
Primary Conveyor Op Nilas was sitting on his chair in the primary defence facility, reviewing damage reports from around the Ethelon system. From where he was, he could see that the combat between the Orions and the Jefferson was pretty much over. The monitoring equipment that he had access to couldn't penetrate the hulls of either ship, but the Orions had offerred a surrender. In addition, even his fairly primitive radio telescope receivers could pick up heightened amounts of radiation coming from the Orion ship.
On the high side of things, repairs on Ethelon III were coming along nicely after the transporting of the Ferengi vessel. Op would have to remember not to transport anything that large again. They had done it, but it had cost them dearly in resources. However, it had caused the Ferengi and Pakleds to leave without firing a shot, which was the idea in the first place.
The door slid open and he looked up. His brother Mil was standing there. "What's going on?" he asked.
"The Ferengi, Pakleds and Orions tried to force the Jefferson to leave our system. The Orions took a number of hostages, including a squad of Ethelon military personel. They have been rescued and are aboard the Jefferson right now" Op explained. "In order to try and stop a space battle in our system, I had the Ferengi ship transported as far as I could manage. They and the Pakleds decided to leave, and I think that the Orions will be on their way shortly."
Mil stood and thought about all that. He had been thinking that staying allied with the Ferengi and Orions had been the way to go. It seemed that had been an error. "Do you think that the Federation wants to continue the talks?"
"I don't know" Op replied. "I guess that we'll see once the Orions are on their way."
Mil nodded and took a chair, waiting for any word on what the Jefferson was going to do.

Location: Orion Ship The Daro: Bridge
Kaynar sat and waited impatiently for the Jefferson to answer his surrender message. While he was waiting, the Second Officer said. "Evacuation of decks to 10 complete. The decks have been scanned. No crew on those decks is now confirmed. Awaiting depressurization authorization." The Orion officer looked over at Kaynar, who nodded bleakly. "Depressurizing now."
The Daro shuddered as emergency hatches were opened and the atmosphere blew out of the affected decks. The muted thunder continued for several minutes, but finally settled to silence. "Seal emergency hatches and send in the damage control teams" Kaynar ordered. The second officer nodded and relayed the commands.
After a few tense minutes, the Chief Engineer contacted the bridge. "Plasma fires have been extinguished. Repressurize the decks." The second officer entered the necessary commands into his console.
Kaynar heaved a sigh of relief, which was interrupted by a message from the Jefferson. "Daro, this is Col. Hrisvalar aboard the Jefferson. I'm glad to see that you have put out your plasma fires. I have no interest in accepting your surrender. However, I would prefer that you and your ship leave the Ethelon system and don't return."
"With pleasure colonel" Kaynar replied. "Daro out.
Kaynar turned to the helmsman. "Plot a course out of this system and engage at maximum impulse. We'll fix the warp drive on the way."

Lt. Kristin Hope POV Transporter Chief USS Jefferson
IC:
"Lt. Hope, have you been listening?" Colonel Hrisvalar asked over the comm.
"Yes sir," Kristin responded wondering how he knew that she had been listening to the happenings on the bridge.
"I want you to oversee the transportation of all the Orions to the surface of the Ethelon III," Hrisvalar ordered.
"Sir, what about the Orion prisoner in the brig?" Kristin asked.
"I'll inform Commander Reynolds to release her," Hrisvalar replied," is that all Lt.?"
"Yes sir, understood," Kristin replied as she looked at her transporter team and they began the tedious task of transporting the injured to medical facilities. They would then transport the Orions back to the Daro.
****************************************************
"Colonel, this Orion is a prisoner, under Federation Law she should be detained and held for questioning," Matt said surprised that the colonel would give up his prisoner with such ease.
"Commander Reynolds, I understand your objections, but my orders stand," Hrisvalar ordered," inform Lt. Hope to transport her to the Daro. They will be leaving shortly."
"Understood, sir," Matt said trying hard not to say anything stupid. He didn't agree with the decision to release the Orion. She could provide them with valuable information about the Orions operations in this system. What if they knew the answer to the Etholosians and Releva's disease? ~The burdern of command~ Matt thought as he contacted the brig and then Kristin.
=^=All department heads please report to my office in ten minutes. This excludes medical and science who are focusing on treating the Etholosians and Commander De Silva=^=
=^=Lt. Sharp, Commander Pudlo and Major Johnson please oversee the repairs to the Jefferson. I want her back to full capacity within twenty four hours.=^=
<Tag everyone>
OOC: Lt. Sharp, Major Johnson, could your next post please put us in my office with the rest of the department heads. We'll continue from there. Lt. Keller, please continue to move the story along. Doctor van Breughel and I have come up with a possible cure for the disease, but I would like your input on it and if its okay with you. Also it will be important to come up with a viable reason for the disease, but I'm sure you have already thought of that.
