Zhukarak was not happy about the news of Doctor Keller leaving the ship without permission, although he did understand the reasoning behind it. He would have to have a stern talking with him. Soon, Zhuk and Admiral Drew were asked to come to sickbay for a new discovery. With Theel'zhiin perched on his shoulder, and the Admiral alongside of him, he was on his way.
After a few minutes in sickbay viewing the discovery, witnessing another firelizard appear, and listening to a very valid theory, Zhukarak was already going over in his mind for thewir next step. It was obvious that this planet was hiding something here about Loran, but not Loran or Admiral Lin himself, of that he was sure. No, the next step would be to find the House of Krork.
"As soon as we are done here, that's where we will be headed...to the House of Krork. That's good work everyone, and yes, we could probably use these firelizards' help in locating Admiral Lin. I was thinking along those same lines earlier. Now if you all will excuse me, I have an extraction to monitor. Admiral, if you care to join me, I'm returning to the bridge."

Just as Zhukarak reached the Bridge the Tactical officer reported the arrival of a number of ships,
"There are 4 sub light vessels approaching us" he reported, "Individually they arent a threat but I m picking up more launching from the surface..." the officer paused a moment and then continued "I m recieving a hail from the planet."
"Put it on" Zhukarak instructed,
The face of a middle aged woman with an elaborate hair style appeared on the main screen.
"I am Prime Designate of Rutia. I wish to speak to your senior officer" she demanded,
Zhukarak looked at Drew who gave him a slight nod as if to say that it was his ship,
"I am Colonel Hrisvalar Captain of this ship"
She paused as she took in the marine uniform of the Andorian
"I demand an explanation, Rutia is not in the Federation you have no authority here. Your officers have abducted one of my security officers, you have atrtacked a Hospital. A HOSPITAL. I will not stand for this. Your men will be apprehended and prosecuted under Rutian law. I have despatched ships to Escort your ship into a lower orbit where you wil remain until this mater is dealt with. This is a serious breach... you can guarantee I will be contacting the Federation President over this... I cannot believe...."
Zhukarak looked back at Admiral Drew, would this woman ever be quiet and let him speak!

Daran flinched as the particle shield emitter overloaded, throwing off sparks and tiny bits of hot metal. However, once that was done a quick blast of his phaser melted the metal grate, leaving only a long, empty venting duct behind. Daran peered in. The duct went down at a sharp angle, but seemed to have a 45 degree angle to a level area at the bottom. He was about to go in when he was grabbed from behind.
Daran started to bring his phaser around and looked behind him, only to see the Marine sargeant and a few other soldiers. "Don't jump in there, lieutenant. There's no telling what's at the bottom." The sargeant retrieved a long piece of metal from his belt and dropped it into the ground. A rope appeared from the end of the metal and the sargeant tossed it down the duct. The first soldier attached the rope to a device on his belt and leaped down the duct. It seemed that the device controlled the speed of descent. The next three soldiers went, then the sargeant passed Daran a device, which he attached to his belt and went down the vent as well.
Reaching the bottom, he could see that the four marines had taken station around a large vent grate at the end of the duct. Then the sargeant joined the small group, who nodded to the first soldier. The soldier turned and fired his rifle at the grate, which quickly turned to vapour and the four Marines rushed into the now open corridor. One marine called "Clear", so Daran and the sargeant entered the corridor as well. It was long and featureless, with a door at either end. Daran consulted the map that he had made with his tricorder and gestured to the left to the sargeant. He nodded and got the small group moving in that direction. They quickly came to the door.
Once everyone was ready, one of the soldiers activated the door pad and it slid open, revealing yet another long corridor ending in a T intersection. The marines and Keller quickly moved down, but stopped as they heard footsteps approaching from the the right branch. The Marines quickly took up position, but there was no cover in the empty corridor.
The footsteps came closer, until a Rutian with his hands up crossed the T. He glanced down the corridor and stopped in surprise as he saw the phaser rifles pointed at him.
A familiar voice from around the corner said "Keep moving Gorr", a voice Daran knew very well.
"Commander Reynolds. It's Lt. Keller. I'm around the corner with a group of Marines" Daran said loudly.
Daran saw a phaser poke around the corner, followed by the face of Reynolds.

"Commander Reynolds. It's Lt. Keller. I'm around the corner with a group of Marines" Daran said loudly.
"Am I hearing things?" Matt asked his group thinking that his mind was playing tricks on him. Had he just heard Lt. Keller's voice. "Did that voice just say..."
"Yes," Grace responded. Matt not trusting his senses at the moment moved carefully and with much caution. He hadn't asked Lt. Keller to accompany the away teams and he was positive that the Captain would of never allowed him to come. As Matt turned the corner, sure enough there was Lt. Keller and a group of marines.
"Lt. what the hell are you doing here?" Matt asked angrily.
<Tag Keller>
"No matter, we cannot do anything now," Matt said as he looked at the morgue doors," Lt. Keller you are with us and you four make sure that this floor is secure."
"Yes, sir," the marine sergeant said.
"Now, Lt. there aren't any more surprises?" Matt asked scornfully," ok lets go find the doctor."

"That doesn't answer the question of the RNA codons being represented here," Nathan retorted, "what have they got to do with the Klingon house of Krork? Unless a Klingon house is represented by human proteins? Would be rather odd, wouldn't you agree?"
He turned back to DaSilva. "What do you think Miss DaSilva?" He was fully aware of the doctor's eyes on him, as he watched Drew and Hrisvalar depart and leave the issue in their hands. "Doctor Mercy, as you are the senior doctor here now, at least in rank...that leaves you in charge. What are your suggestions and orders on how we proceed?"
Nathan still doubted the younger man's current competence as he seemed far to distracted. He reached towards the green firelizard on the doctor's shoulder, and the creature hissed at him. "I thought they were friendly?" he asked, as he retracted his hand, having no desire to have a close encounter with the creature's sharp talons and fangs. "If so then why is she hissing at me?"
He glanced at Raleva. "Obviously not as friendly as we thought, this one's fiercer than the colonel's blue. Unless..." He turned back to Mercy. "...unless she thinks I mean to cause you harm. I assure you doctor, that is not the case. Like you, I took the oath to first do no harm." Now, he glanced back at the screen. "A Klingon house, human RNA, a Trill corpse. How are they all linked?" he asked no-one in particular.

Zhukarak looked back at Admiral Drew, would this woman ever be quiet and let him speak! At the same time he realized that he was not a diplomat, but a soldier. He knew the situation had become quite delicate, but his crew was in danger and that was his first obligation.
Zhukarak stood from his command chair and politely placed his hands behind his back before addressing the woman on the viewscreen. "Prime Designate, I am just as distressed as you are. One of my crew members has been abducted as well. We have reason to believe that the particular security officer that we have in custody had something to do with it. I dispatched a security team in hopes of finding our missing member, and I assure you that they only responded in kind if they were provoked. The SAME goes for my ship, Prime Designate."
Zhuk knew the emphasis would ring true in her ears. With her rambling it had become apparent to Zhukarak that this woman had no experience when it came to military matters. Zhukarak decided that she must have attained her status through some type of aristocracy. Her pride was at stake as a ruler, but he was hoping that more was at stake for her of his propsed threat of a fight, or even a war.
"I have no intention of dropping orbit until all of my crew members are safe. Once that happens, I will happily return your security officer into your custody along with an official report of our findings. You may feel free to continue contacting the Federation President, and I'm hoping it will be through the diplomatic channels...and not through your war department."

Stuart couldn't stand listening to this...this...oh he didn't even want to think it. "Not really doctor, not with today's society of interspecies relationships. Besides, it could be a ruse as well."
Nathan turned back to DaSilva.
"Well, the fact remains that without the particular chip present, we can't do any testing to really find out what these sequences are about. The Klingon angle is really all we have." Stuart wanted to reach over and strangle the man.
Stuart gave a glare, "Maybe it's your disposition."

~Cause no harm...heh...I could cause you some harm.~ Yade shrieked and fluttered her wings as she was sensing Stuart's thoughts.

"Lt. what the hell are you doing here?" Matt asked angrily.
Daran shrank slighly under the Commander's irritated gaze. "I'm here because one of my doctors has been abducted, Commander Reynolds."
Reynolds shook his head angrily and ordered the Marines to secure the floor, then looked back at the doctor and growled "Now, Lt. there aren't any more surprises?"
Daran shook his head meekly and started following Reynolds, Cyle, Grace and their prisoner, a Rutian that he didn't recognize. He still had out his tricorder and phaser and was tracing their route towards the dispersion field that was hopefully where Dr. D'Amato was located. The field was blocking the tricorder as well, so Daran couldn't even see if she was still there.
Out of curiousity, Daran turned his tricorder onto the Rutian prisoner. The man seemed to be in good health, but was suffering from high levels of anxiety, which was understandable considering the number of phasers he had pointed at him. Then the tricorder found traces of tripolymers, platinum and irridium in his lower back. He stopped walking and focused a scan in that area. Daran found a small isolinear chip, exactly the same as the one that Loran Lin had in her lower back.
Commander Reynolds looked back at the motionless Keller. "What's the problem now doctor?" he asked, his voice thick with annoyance.
"We discovered that Loran had an isolinear chip hidden in her back when she died, but it had been removed. It seems that this Rutian has one as well, Commander" Daran informed him.
Reynolds looked at Gorr. "Really? Well, I guess that we'll have the opportunity to study one of these chips first hand after all. Keep walking everyone."
The little group started forward again, but Gorr took the opportunity to give a look of pure poison at the young doctor. Daran glared back, unintimidated. From what he could see, this Gorr fellow may be directly responsible for the kidnap of Lindsay, and that made Daran angry enough to want to remove the chip with his bare hands and no anaestheisia.
The group came to a blank door and Daran pulled the map of the facility back up on his tricorder. "The disperson field starts on the other side of the door. I can't read anything that's behind it."

Drew watched the scene unfolding before him in amusement. This ‘Prime Designate’ clearly had little experience of tactical situations, or perhaps she had just never dealt with a Starfleet Marine before. Either way, she seemed lost for words at Hrisvalar’s disobedience, obviously expecting him to act like a typical Starfleet Officer, keen to avoid a confrontation at all costs. Drew nodded his head in approval of Hrisvalar’s methods.
“I see,” the Prime Designate said, clearly unnerved, “I was unaware one of your crewmembers had been captured.”
“We have reason to believe a rouge group maybe active in you government,” Hrisvalar explained, “we would have informed you of the abduction, but we did not know who to trust.”
“Well, you can trust me Colonel,” the Prime Designate said, smiling, “allow me to help you in anyway I can.”
“Thank you Prime Designate,” Hrisvalar said, “that would be most appreciated.”
With a nod and a smile, the image of the Prime Designate disappeared from the viewscreen, being replaced by an image of a starfield.
“Very well handled Colonel,” Drew said, leaning forwards so only Hrisvalar could hear him, “I couldn’t have done better myself.”

Laurana was tiring of all this investigation, she cared little for what was in the chip as long as they found Magellan soon and seemed to her as if Loran was leading them on a merry dance.
She excused herself from sickbay and made her way to the bridge to see what the senior staff were doing. She arrived just in time to see the face of a woman disappear from the screen.
Admiral Drew and Colonel Hrisvalar stood talking in the centre whilst various crew members went about their duties.
"Sir... Sirs" the Tactical officer alerted, "I m picking up a Starfleet update. Its a security alert from Starbase Conquere, there is unsubstantiated reports that the USS Hanson has encountered a Klingon Brid of Prey with a Starfleet Admiral on board. An emergency transmission was recieved from the Hanson, but it was badly corrupted and nothings been heard of them since"

Grace was only semi aware of the goings on around her, she had her mind split between Gorr and locating Lindsay. Grace heard Keller speak of an isolinear chip in Gorr's back, and Grace felt Gorr's apprehension go up and Gorr gave Keller a very angry look. Grace also heard in her mind Keller's thoughts ~I want to remove the chip with his bare hands and no anesthesia.~
"Dr Keller, I'll be happy to assist you in the removal of the chip, but I think anesthesia would be called for, for humanitarian reasons." Grace said out loud in response to Keller's thoughts.
<Tag Daran>
Grace felt around with her mind after they came upon the blank door "Matt, D'Amato is behind this door, unconscious, but otherwise alive."
<Tag Matt>
"We can relax, the Prime Designate of this planet has assured the Colonel that we will be allowed to continue our search."
Just as Grace finished speaking the Rutian troops backed off.
Grace just smiled and said "See what happens when you eavesdrop".

Raleva calmly touched Nathan's hand, in hopes of calming him.
"Alright, gentlemen, and lizard, shall we get on with this mystery?" she asked in the most soothing tone she presently had available, "What is the common thread here? That is the fault on which our answer will most likely fall. The most common link I can see is Lin. Why would this chip be inside a Loran's body? Why would the RNA sequences be human in nature? Why would the a Klingon house, a Klingon House ever want to be connected to humans in such a way? Interspecies breeding practices have nothing to do with it ..."
<Tag Stuart and/or Nathan>
"Perhaps ... perhaps it was something a bit sinister? What do we really know for certain about Loran? Or Lin for that matter? How old is the symbiont?" She continued after a moment.

Nathan felt Raleva's hand on his own, her fingers curling around his as she squeezed them, a silent warning and reassurance. Yet, Nathan couldn't help but feeling his sympathies for the younger doctor crumble as the minutes of silence passed. He heard Raleva talk and offer her suggestions, but he could offer no answer for her.
"All we know for fact about Loran is that she was an officer in the Trill Defence Force," he finally answered her second question, "though any further knowledge might best be provided by the guardian that came with Doctor Mercy. What was her name again? Laurana?" He looked thoughtful for a minute, while browsing through Magellan's official medical record. "Magellan is Lin's fifth host since his twenty-first birthday. At present, the admiral is thirty-eight standard years old. The first host for Lin was born in 2223, and assuming that Lin itself was born before that, the symbiont is at least one-hundred and seventy standard years old. Compared to Dax, I believe that is still fairly young."
Their attentions were diverted from their difficult tasks when a call from the bridge came in to expect emergency transport from Rutia. They reported Doctor D'Amato was found, but was severely injured. Exchanging a glance with Mercy and DaSilva, he darted off towards the emergency ward in sickbay. "Keep working!" he called towards them, "I'll deal with this. No offense to you doctor Mercy but this is my sickbay in doctor Keller's absence."
He tapped his combadge. "Bridge, we're ready." Seconds later, the body of the other assistant CMO appeared on a biobed and immediately Nathan set to work. "She's been shot close range," he growled at the nearest nurse, "what coward would shoot an unarmed doctor at close range. Have they no respect for medics anymore these days?" With a grim expression on his face, he worked feverishly to save D'Amato's life. He didn't like the woman, but he'd be damned if she'd die under his care.
Relief washed over him when after an hour, the woman's vitals started to pick up. "Bridge, this is Doctor Van Breughel. Doctor D'Amato will make it. She's critical, but I believe she'll be fine."

The Prime Designate backed off just as Zhukarak was hoping she would. Zhuk gave the command to stand down the Red Alert just as Admiral Drew leaned over from the second command chair.
“Very well handled Colonel,” Drew said, leaning forwards so only Hrisvalar could hear him, “I couldn’t have done better myself.”
Zhuk just nodded his head with a bit of pride within himself. Since he had received command, his skills at ‘diplomacy’ were increasing with every encounter. Maybe some day he would make a good diplomat. His thoughts were soon interrupted.
"Sir... Sirs" the Tactical officer alerted, "I m picking up a Starfleet update. Its a security alert from Starbase Conqueror, there are unsubstantiated reports that the USS Hanson has encountered a Klingon Bird of Prey with a Starfleet Admiral on board. An emergency transmission was received from the Hanson, but it was badly corrupted and nothing’s been heard of them since."
Zhukarak looked over at Admiral Drew. “Admiral, your thoughts?”
Admiral Drew took a few seconds to digest this new information before he spoke. “Considering our discovery of that isolinear chip being of Klingon origin, and now this…let’s just say I don’t believe in coincidences.”
“I have to agree with you. Lieutenant Wilson, lock in the coordinates of the Hanson’s encounter. We shall take a look as soon as we are done here.”
“Aye, sir!” The junior tactical officer returned his attention to his console, completing Zhuk’s last order.

Stuart listened to Raleva’s questions and Nathan’s answers. Stuart could sense the animosity from Nathan, but he didn’t let it worry him. Stuart had enough on his mind with this mission and the thoughts of T’Val interfering as well.
An emergency transport came through and Nathan again had a nack of displacing Stuart with his comment of this being ‘his sickbay’. Stuart had no intention of taking over. In fact, he would have thought Nathan an imbecile if he hadn’t taken charge. Of course Stuart went ahead and followed along in order to render any assistance if needed.
After about an hour of feverish work, D’Amato’s lifesigns were kept stable and she was no longer critical. Doctor van Breughel actually was a good doctor… ~when he didn’t focus his misgivings on others~… Stuart thought to himself.

Jeff had finished his work on the phaser design. He sent the pattern to the bridge replicator, and one materialized.
"Pudlo to Sickbay, I need you to test the phaser to capture The Admiral for me."
<sickbay>
"I jsut need you to find a safe setting so I can calibrate it. It iodizes the oxygen around the target, and the setting determines how much. it should knock the target out if used right."
<sickbay>
"I'll bring it down for you. just a sec."
Jeff got up and descended to sickbay. The Turbolift ride seemed slower then normal, considering what was happening. Who knew what could be happening to the Hanson, and the Admiral.
He arrived at sickbay, and delivered the Phaser into waiting hands.

"Pudlo to Sickbay, I need you to test the phaser to capture The Admiral for me."
Nathan was still drying his hands after he performed extensive surgery on a patient when the call came through. "What?" he exclaimed, glancing back at Mercy, who had assisted him. "You've got to be kidding! We're doctors, not gunhappy security!"
"I just need you to find a safe setting so I can calibrate it. It iodizes the oxygen around the target, and the setting determines how much. it should knock the target out if used right."
"So you are saying it's just a form of sedation? In that case, bring it down immediately!"
"And just who are we going to test it on?" Nathan querried, glancing from DaSilva to Mercy. Then he resolutely handed the weapon to Doctor Mercy. "Shoot me," he told the younger man, bracing himself for any form of impact. "You've been wanting to since the moment we met, now's your chance."
(Mercy/DaSilva/Pudlo)
"Don't argue with me," Nathan shot back, "we're losing precious time. If this thing does what Commander Pudlo says it does, all it would do was briefly deprive me of oxygen." Fear started to course though his body, as memories of his ordeal in the future surfaced. Remembered how his oxygen intake had been cut off long enough for him to pass out and continue experiencing difficulty breathing until he was finally rescued.
(Mercy/DaSilva/Pudlo
He felt blood slowly withdraw from his face as he remembered, and sought support from a nearby biobed. "Do it," he repeated. "What kind of doctor are you, when you don't have the needs of the many at heart?" He hoped his taunt would anger Mercy sufficiently to stop thinking about ethics and just use the weapon before he would change his mind. "Who knows what Magellan is doing to the crew of that ship. Think of those poor cadets!"

From his place on the bridge, Drew thought over everything that he just been told. It seemed highly likely to him that the Hanson had been attacked by Magellan, along with forces from the House of Krork. Drew had not forgotten that when he had first returned to SBA, Magellan had struck him with a powerful right arm swing. The man was capable of violence, and he had the knowledge to be able to take on a Starfleet ship and win easily. The question was - what would he do to a Starfleet crew?
That was the question that was burning away in his head, the Hanson was his ship, his crew, not only that, it was being crewed by Cadets. Young men and women who were only just starting out in there careers, there future was still ahead of them, and Magellan, or Lorren, or whatever the hell he was calling himself, could have just taken that future away.
“Colonel,” Drew said in a quiet voice, hoping not to catch the attention of anyone else on the bridge, “if you plan on engaging the House of Krork, and Lorren, I highly suggest we change all the Jefferson’s command codes, and shield and phaser frequencies. They have all of Magellan’s knowledge, with that, no Starfleet ship will be a match for them.”
“Agreed,” Hrisvalar replied, as he keyed in several commands to his console.
“I am going to upload the full tactical specifications for the Hanson to the Jefferson’s library,” Drew said, keying in several commands to his own console, “there are several weak points to her that you won’t find in your standard tactical database.”
Drew signed heavily as he brought up the specifications for the Hanson, and began highlighting the best way to cripple her. He never thought he would have to take out his own ship, he just hoped that when it was over, he still had a ship to call his own.

"Matt, D'Amato is behind this door, unconscious, but otherwise alive."
It was the first time Matt smiled since arriving on the cursed planet. Just as he was about to contact the ship the Rutian guards stepped back and allowed them to work.
"Gorr, open up this door," Matt said noticing the keypadd next to the door.
"Alright, but you will release me once I help you," Gorr asked smiling nervously.
"Look, I can have Grace take the information from you or we can do this the easy way," Matt said.
"Ok, you won't have to do that," Gorr said as he opened the door. The door clicked open and Matt entered first to see Doctor D'Amato on the floor.
=^=Reynolds to Jefferson beam Doctor D'Amato to sickbay immediately. Lock onto my combadge=^=

"Major, I want all of our teams off this planet in ten minutes," Matt ordered," you are coming with us and you're going to tell us why someone attacked one of our crew."
"You don't have to take me with you," Gorr said," I already know who it was."
"Well on with it," Matt said.
"It was the Rutian Liberation Front, they're trying to obtain power on this planet and they thought if the a Starfleet vessel got involved it would allow them a perfect opportunity for a coup," Gorr said.
"Grace did you get all that?" Matt asked.
"Yes," Grace responded.
"Good, Gorr you're still coming with us," Matt said as he contacted the Jefferson and beamed his team and there extra guest to the Jefferson.
"Grace can you find a room for our guest and place a security guard outside his door," Matt said," I'm sure that Colonel Hrisvalar and Admiral Drew will want to speak to him."

Matt quickly made his way back towards the bridge and when he arrived he heard Admiral Drew say.
“I am going to upload the full tactical specifications for the Hanson to the Jefferson’s library,” Drew said, “there are several weak points to her that you won’t find in your standard tactical database.”
"Colonel, Doctor D'Amato is in sickbay being attended to, Gorr knows more than he is says so I brought him onboard and what is this about the Hanson," Matt asked as he remembered his Academy days on the Hanson.

As Gorr and Grace walked away to the quarters that were being assigned to Gorr, he decided to try to get on Grace's better side. "Forgive me, Commander. I was under duress from the Rutian Liberation Front and Loran. I swear she was the one who contacted me."
"Lt Gorr, I fully believe that you think Loran was the one who contacted you. I think that chip in your back is the reason you believe that. Once we have you settled in your quarters, I'm sure that Doctor's Keller, Mercy and van Breughel will wish to see you in sickbay. I'm sure they will want to examine the chip closer."
Gorr still looked apprehensive about seeing the doctors, and Grace didn't blame him after what Dr. Keller had said on Rutia.
"Excuse me again, COmmander, but is that doctor who was on the planet really going to remove the chip without any anesethia?" Gorr asked GRace.
"I'm sure he he didn't mean it. He was just speaking because he was angry about his crew mate."
"Isn't she your crew mate?"
"I'm not an official member of the crew. I used to serve here but now I am here in only an advisory capacity."
"How is it, that COmmander kept saying you could get information without me giving it to you?"
"Lt, I'm a telepath and an empath. I also have some telekenectic ability. If I don't block peoples thoughts out I would hear everything they say and think. LIke right now, you are trying to figure out away around me to escape. I wouldn't try it. I'm more agile than I look and stronger too! Besides, there is a security guard on the other side of that door who is quite capable, trust me."
Gorr didn't believe Grace and was going to try and find away off this ship before that doctor had a chance to cut him open. Grace had her mind open to Gorr thoughts and she just shook her head.
"I think you should also be aware, Gorr, that I am probably the only person on this ship remotely sympathetic to your situation. I may not be a crew mate of D'Amato, but I once was so I am not happy about her injuries. That stated, I do believe you were not acting on your own behalf except to keep yourself from being injuried by Loran, so I am sympathetic to you, but don't push me or you will find yourself in the brig."
=/\=Keller to Commander Mitchell=/\=
=/\=Mitchell here=/\=
=/\=Commander, please bring our guest to sickbay=/\=
=/\=On our way. Mitchell out=/\=
"Well, Gorr. We have our orders. If you please accompany me, and we can get this over with."
Gorr gulped then finally agreed with one provision "Commander would you stay with me through this procedure? Oddly, I do feel more comfortable with you around."
"I had every intention of being there through the whole procedure."
"Thank you, it means a lot to me."
Grace and Gorr headed to sickbay with security close behind.

Daran sat in his cell in the brig. After the away team had been beamed aboard, he had been quickly ushered away by a security team that had been called by the First Officer. Security didn't seem to happy with him, as a mere slip of a doctor who had just graduated from the Academy had managed to escape them and sneak down to the Rutian surface.
He had been unceremoniously dumped into a cell. Daran took a walk around the interior. It didn't take very long. Then he looked out through the force field protected door. There was a security officer manning the station in the centre of the room. The woman glance at him with a "Don't try anything funny look", then returned to whatever she was looking at on her station.
Daran turned, walked over to the bunk and sat down. He knew why he was here. Abandoning his post in the middle of a mission hadn't been the smartest thing that he had ever done, but it seemed like the thing to do at the time. Lindsay was a bit of a pain, but she was honest and a good doctor. At the time, it seemed like the only thing to do was to try to help her. It had been different when Nathan had been kidnapped, but even then he had felt the urge to go try to help him, and he had had that underlying guilt that he didn't have the guts at the timeto leave the ship to try to help Dr. van Breughel. Perhaps if he had tried, Nathan wouldn't have been hurt so badly.
The circumstances were similar to something he had been through on Turkana IV. He had snuck into an opposing factions territory to try to rescue a friend who had been captured. He hadn't been able to do it alone, and his friend had been killed. Daran had nearly been captured doing it.
He was so wrapped up in his own thoughts that he hadn't noticed that another two member security team had appeared at the door. "Let's go" the lead one growled.
Shrugging, Daran stood up and left his cell. The two Security men led Daran to a turbolift and to Deck 3. Exiting, they then walked him to a small conference room that had a desk with two chairs behind it, along with a single chair on the other side of the room. The Security detail seated him in the lone chair, then took up station inside the door, watching him carefully.
Daran didn't really know what was going on, but gathered that it wasn't good. But he sat quietly enough until the door slid open. The Security detail snapped to attention as Col. Hrisvalar and Commander Grace Mitchell walked through the door and took seats behind the desk.
(OOC; Sorry that I haven't been posting much over the last week. This is as good an explanation as any as to what my character has been up to)

Just as Zhukarak was going over the uploaded tactical information of the Hanson, Matt arrived onto the bridge.
"Colonel, Doctor D'Amato is in sickbay being attended to, Gorr knows more than he is says so I brought him onboard and what is this about the Hanson," Matt asked as he remembered his Academy days on the Hanson.
"It seems that they may have encountered our missing Admiral Lin while in the possession of a Klingon Bird of Prey. As soon as I send off an official report for the Prime Designate of Rutia we'll be on our way to investigate. Actually, if you would Commander Reynolds, would you please do that report? I need to go ahead and excuse myself. You have the bridge!"
Zhukarak could see Admiral Drew giving him a questionable look, but Zhuk did not lock eyes with him or release any type of emotions of what might be going on. He had a personal matter, and he was professional enough to keep it that way.
Once Zhukarak stepped into the turbolift, he went ahead and tapped his comm badge. "Grace, would you please see me in my quarters?"
=/\= Yes, of course. I'm on my way. =/\=
"Thank you."
Zhuk knew that she sensed something was not right. It wasn't often that Zhuk called upon her, but when he did...she just knew.
Zhukarak entered his quarters and found Theel'zhiin slumbered on the sofa. His trusted pet looked up and he too sensed the troubling mind. Zhukarak went to his replicator and ordered himself a cup of human coffee, and then proceeded to take a seat next to Theel'zhiin. Theel'zhiin rose only to reposition himself onto Zhuk's lap to give and receive affection. Zhukarak sipped slowly as he waited for his counselor to show.

"Wait a minute, there must be some other way to test this thing," Raleva replied almost immediately, "Nathan, you shouldn't have to risk your life for this. Commander, isn't there some other way to test the phaser, a hologram perhaps or something of the like?"
“A holographic rat would do just as well.” Stuart answered.
Raleva couldn't believe her ears. She felt the intense fear rising in Nathan's heart and it nearly brought tears to her eyes. He'd suffered enough in such a way, this was just unneccessary; however, she just couldn't answer fast enough.
Stuart gave a stern look at Doctor van Breughel as he couldn’t believe his ears. “As much as you might trust your engineer, it would be foolhardy to do what you request.”
"I am not hearing this!" she said before she even managed to fully grasp the implications, "You're going to shoot him with a ... a ... a suffocation ray?!"
She turned back to Nathan increduously, "And you?! Egging him on! Nathan, you're going to get yourself killed!"
“No! I’m not, and I’ll tell you what kind of doctor I am. I don’t just think of the needs of the many, but those of the few as well. In fact, I think of the needs of everyone as that is the professional oath I have taken no matter what my personal feelings are. Plus we only have unsubstantiated reports of 'AN ENCOUNTER', much less an attack with the Hanson. So don't try to play that card with me.”
The science officer looked relieved as she must have really thought that Stuart just might shoot that phaser at the civilian doctor. Stuart did snatch the weapon and returned it to the engineer. “If you would please, set up a hologram and test it out. I need to have a word with Mr. van Breughel.”
Commander Pudlo took the phaser and headed for a holosuite with Lieutenant De Silva in tow. Stuart took this moment to take Doctor van Breughel into a vacant office to have his word with him.
“I don’t know what your problem is with me and frankly I don’t give a damn. Now I have done everything I could to possibly not intrude on Doctor Keller’s and your daily operations around here as this is your ship, but if you continue to have these kinds of tyrades, especially with me, then I will be forced to relieve you of your duties on the spot as that is my prerogative as senior medical officer…and…I will make sure that you don’t get another posting anywhere within Starfleet command.”
This was a one way conversation with this man and Stuart didn’t care enough to stick around for a response as he turned for the door in search of the holosuite to see how the testing was going.

"Perhaps I should deal with this."
The assembeled officers in sickbay turned to see the golden haired Trill guardian enter the room,
"I know the physiology of the the symbiont more intimatley than any of you here. Perhaps Commander Pudlo could talk me through its use, and I can decide if it would prove fatal?"
"Laurana" Mercy greeted, "We should have thought to contact you"
"No matter, I was getting tired of sitting in my quarters. IT will feel better to actually be doing something to find Magellan."
"Theres been word he may have taken the Hanson, we are en route now" Nathan explained,
Laurana hung her head she was all too aware of the ticking clock that balanced Magellans life. They needed to reach him soon or he would die. The most disconcerting thing was that even if they caught him, and that they managed to reintegrate his past lives using the Zhian'tara ritual, Loran would still be there, would still be a risk. They had to find away to remove Loran completely... something that no Trill had managed to do.
