OOC: I guess I kind of went ahead timeline wise, so I will do sort of a back post. Also I'm going to use your character a bit Zhuk, but not much.
Scene: Bridge, Deck 1, USS JEFFERSON
"Commander Reynolds can you please come into my office," Col Hrisvalar said to Matt. He did as he was asked and quickly followed his captain into the now familiar room.
"Yes Col. what can I do for you?" Matt asked.
"As you know our science officer has just left us and Starfleet can't give us an experienced science officer in time so as of right now you are being reinstated as Temporary Chief Science Officer," Col. Hrisvalar said.
"Thanks for the confidence sir," Matt said as he saluted and exited the room. Matt headed towards the familiar science station and took his seat.
"Lt. Quindara, you know the drill," Matt said smileing at his second in command. They both had done this before so they were ready to do it again.
"Computer run Reynolds Zodiac Beta Interface," Matt said as he pressed a couple of controls on the console.
"Affirmitive, interface is now complete." Matt checked his console and was happy to see that his tinkering had worked like a charm.
Cmdr Matthew : Mister Reynolds I need for you to pull up many information you can find on this Nebula where the Dominion ship was discovered and while your at it look up the defensive specs for all Dominion ships. I would like to know just what we will be coming up against if this mission become a combative battle.
"Understood Commander," Matt said as he began searching the databases of the Jefferson. If the captain's information was correct then the Federation database would have a bit more information on the Dominion and to no one's suprise their was a lot of new information.

As Matt reynolds left the Ready Room, Zhuk finished going over the rest of the reports that he had. Theel'zhiin had just finished a snack of raw bacon, if Zhuk remembered correctly.
As Zhuk rose to go to the bridge, Theel'zhiin used his ability to go 'between' to teleport himself to one of the arm rests of the command chair. As Zhuk stepped onto the bridge, he saw a startled First Officer flinch back from Theel'zhiin.
~My Guardian, be more courteous the next time.~ Theel'zhiin squawked an affirmative response. Of course to Cmndr Matthew it appeared as if he was being kicked out of the chair. "My apologies, Commander. Theel'zhiin should have taken more care in his sudden appearance."
<James>
"Yes, it does take a little getting used to." As the First Officer rose to switch seats, Zhuk took over the center chair. Cmndr Johnson already had them out of the space dock doors of the station.
"We are clear of the shipping lanes. Coordinates have been set and we are ready to proceed on your mark, sir." Cmndr Johnson reported.
Cmndr Matthew looked over at Zhuk and Zhuk returned the look with a 'yes' headnod, giving the Cmndr the go ahead to engage. "Engage at warp 6!"
The three ambassadors were on the bridge as well, observing how fluid everything was working. All eyes were at the main viewscreen as the stars began streaking from the center towards the outer most edges while the ship was moving forward at warp speed.
With his hands clasped behind his back, Ambassador Kralok was now standing infront of the helm console. Turning around, he asked about their arrival time. "How long before we reach this nebula?"
Zhuk looked over at his navigations officer, Alexander Johnson who then responded. "At current speed, 3 days, 16 hours and 23 minutes." The Klingon neither showed aproval nor dislike at the answer.
Zhuk then spoke up while Theel'zhiin was now resting on his left forarm. "In the meantime, if there is anything we can do to make your stay more comfortable..."

"In the meantime, if there is anything we can do to make your stay more comfortable..."
The Romulan smiled to himself as he heard Hrisvalar utter the words, while keeping his eyes on his instruments. "A more comfortable chair would be good," he commented dryly, "how on earth did your tactical officers do their jobs, when their chair was almost literally killing their backs?"
<Zhuk/anyone>
He looked around and flashed a smile at Rin, who was standing close to the Klingon diplomat. ~not that I am complaining~ he thought, for her to pick the thought up ~how are you holding up, with him as your company?~
<Rin>
Tedak turned back around and started a few diagnostics of the shields and weapons systems. "Uh-oh," he muttered, as suddenly his screen winked out, "Commander Reynolds, are you registering a power spike too? My screen just went dead, while I was running diagnostics on the defense systems on this ship."
<Reynolds>
Before Reynolds could answer, the Romulan addressed the CNO. "Commander Johnson, could you send me a program so that I can fire a few test shots? I have never used the defensive systems on a Federation vessel before, much less a standard phaser." His dislike of weapons, other than his trusted Honour Blade, was well known on Assaillant, and he had no doubt it was known among the Jefferson crew. It was also the one thing that had gotten him acquitted of the murder accusation he had faced only months ago, after his son had been abducted by Romulans.
Tedak crossed gazes with the CNO. "I could use some practice," he admitted, "and a little training on how to use these systems."

Billi had gotten busy in sickbay after the meeting but the fact that the crew still needed their physicals. She had been busy since the Ambassador left completing the supply distribution. When she had finished that she headed back to her office. There were still crew evaluations to set up as well as that list of physicals to complete.
She entered her office and tapped the console of her replicator. “Green tea.” ... the computer complying. She picked up the glass and sat down behind her desk, kicking off her boots beneath as she picked up the first PADD.
Billi sipped the tea, and read the PADD, jotting down notes of her own as she read through the crew reports. She made note of those who still needed their physicals.
On the list were the following names:
Lt. Col. Hrisvalar Cmdr. Matthew Cmdr. Reynolds Cmdr. Pudlo Cmdr. Johnson 1st Lt. Hunter Ambassador Tedak and Ambassador Rin
She smiled, not forgetting her promise to Matt and moved his name to the top of the list. With that thought she tapped her combadge.
=/\= Cmdr. Reynolds, please report to sickbay as soon as possible for your physical. =/\=
If she had to go get him she would not be happy, knowing full well that a few on the list she would have to hunt down to get theirs done. She placed the PADD on her desk and sipped her tea while she waited for Matts response.

"Okay, Mister Johnson, do you think you can pilot us out of space dock without hitting anything?" asked Commander Matthew jokingly.
"I dunno Commander, I'll give it my best shot." Said Johnson, piloting the ship out with usual ease.
A few minutes later, Hrisvalar was on the bridge and had given the order to get underway.
...
"Commander Johnson, could you send me a program so that I can fire a few test shots? I have never used the defensive systems on a Federation vessel before, much less a standard phaser." asked Tedak.
"With your permission, Captain." said Johnson. He knew Tedak to be a fairly decent man, but he was still a Romulan, and was still to be treated with caution.
"Of course." said the Colonel.
Johnson tapped a few controls and sent the appropriate programs to Tedak's console.
"If you need any assistance, Ambassador, I'd be happy to help." Said Johnson.

"That would be preferable commander," the Romulan replied, "I would need moving objects to fire at, as well as the ship moving. If we're engaging battle, the target as well as ourselves will be moving."
He turned around to look at the human commander. "I have served too long within the Federation not to recognize distrust commander," he said gently, "therefor I can understand your reluctance. I will do my very best not to shatter any confidence you have in me. Please remember, I am here to try to better relationships between our people, not break it."
He turned back to his console and accessed the program. "With your permission Colonel?" he querried, and after getting confirmation he nodded towards Johnson. "Don't be easy on me commander, I know the enemy won't be."

Rin had spent the next hour working on the information which Ambassador Tedak had given her. Recording her findings and thoughts on a spare PADD. Lunch with Matt and the short time they had together gave her the extra boost she needed.
She’d made her way back to the bridge and stood near to where the Klingon diplomat sat, she had the PADD tucked beneath one arm.
Rin smiled listening to Ambassador Tedak complain about the uncomfortable seats at the Tactical station.
~not that I am complaining~ he thought, catching her smile.
~How are you holding up, with him as your company?~ Ambassador Tedak continued.
She shrugged slightly.
~~ I’m doing ok. Thank you for asking ~~
She was doing ok, even with the gruff manner of the Klingon Ambassador, the fact she appeared to know his language kept his complaints to a minimum. At least they had a bond, a small one, but it was something which not many her age could have with others who were much older and more experienced. Her edge on languages and the ability to pick them up helped greatly in this case.

"A more comfortable chair would be good," he commented dryly, "how on earth did your tactical officers do their jobs, when their chair was almost literally killing their backs?"
Matt couldn't help but chuckle at Tedak's humor. He was right though, Starfleet chairs were not very comfortable, but Matt of course had gotten around to changing that for his seat. He had installed a comfortable chair at his console, the console that his second in command was currently using. He knew that in a couple of hours his behind would start aching and his back would feel the strain.
"Commander Reynolds, are you registering a power spike too? My screen just went dead, while I was running diagnostics on the defense systems on this ship."
Matt looked at his console and saw what the problem was. Tedak had just short circuited a small relay. It was nothing to serious, but it would take him a couple of minutes to fix the problem. "There Ambassador the problem should be fixed now," Matt said as he finished pressing a few commands into his console.
"So Tedak you want to do some target practice?" Matt said smiling at the Romulan.
"Yes, I need the practice," Tedak said almost smiling. Matt knew that he was bored, everyone would start feeling those affect shortly.
"Maybe I can....." Matt was about to say until the comm channel opened.
=/\= Cmdr. Reynolds, please report to sickbay as soon as possible for your physical. =/\=
Matt let out a noticeable groan come out of his lips, which caused everyone to smile and Alex to laugh. They knew that Matt seemed to always spend a lot of time in sickbay and that he really hated going their unless he was in serious pain or close to death.
"Tedak maybe you should go," Matt said smiling. He didn't want to go to sickbay, but there really was no believable reason not to.
"Doctor Eviston I will be there shortly," Matt said as he headed towards the lift.
------------------------------ Scene: Sickbay, Deck 2, USS JEFFERSON
Matt at first walked slowly through the Jefferson's corridors, but he realized that he was just wasting time and he needed to get this over with as soon as possible and with that in mind he was there in no time at all.
"Hey Billi, see I promised I would come," Matt said knowing that he had made her wait for about thirty minutes.
<Tag Billi>
"Billi, do I have to do the physical?" Matt asked," you know I'm healthy and I want to be on the bridge to see Tedak play tactical officer."

<JP between Billi and Matt>
Billi looked up as Matt entered sickbay, she had to smile at the length of time it took him to get from the bridge to sickbay. She stepped from her office and motioned for him to join her at one of the biobeds.
"Hey Billi, see I promised I would come," "Billi, do I have to do the physical? You know I'm healthy and I want to be on the bridge to see Tedak play tactical officer."
She shook her head and patted the biobed.
"Come on Matt, lets get this done." She laughed. "No I don't know how healthy you are. Just because the starbase says you are doesn't mean I know you are."
"What you don't trust Starfleet doctors?" Matt said in fake shock. He kept saying things and comments like this until Billi snapped at him and told him to shut up.
Truth be told she knew that he'd bribed the medtech on the starbase to say he was healthy. His leg, she knew was still giving him problems but she wanted to be the one to gage that herself.
"Still having to use the cane or can you get along without it?" She commented, a twinkle in her eye. She knew he still needed it but wanted to hear it from him.
"No, I don't need that blasted thing," Matt said a bit defensively," See I'm walking around perfectly fine aren't I?"
Billi shook her head. "Relax Matt, all I did was ask." she tapped the console of the PADD in her hand and with her other just brushed his bum leg, knowing it was still tender and laughed lightly as he yelped. "OH ...yeah you're getting around just right. Care to tell me anything else?" She wondered if he was doing the exercises she had given him or if he was doing the exercises the doctor on the Starbase had given him. Billi made a note on the PADD and then began the scans and gathering the normal information she would need for his records.
"No, it just hurts sometimes, but that's all," Matt said saying it like it was something to everyone."It has been getting better, or I wouldn't be walking around."
Billi listened to him and finished taking her notes. “If there is nothing else bothering you, report back here after your shift and I’ll set you up with some exercises.” she smiled knowing exactly how she would get him to do the exercises without any complaints but would handle that once he left sickbay.
"Do I have to come back? " Matt asked already knowing that he would have to or she would just find him unfit to return to duty. "Oh okay, I will come back after I finish with my shift."
Matt had never been this hostile and indifferent with Billi before, but right now he just wanted to leave sickbay, before she changed her mind of letting him go.
Billi sighed and stepped back. “Very well, you may return to your duty Cmdr.” She had no reason to keep him and with his present attitude she didn’t want him in her sickbay. “I’ll see you after your shift.”
"Okay, see you in a couple of hours," Matt said as hopped off the bio bed and headed back to the bridge.
Once Matt left sickbay she tapped her combadge.
=/\= Ambassador Rin, AE Eviston here, when you have a chance please come see me in sickbay =/\=
She closed the channel after the Ambassador answered and said she would be down at the end of shift and headed back to her office and the reports.

"There Ambassador the problem should be fixed now." The Romulan checked his equipment and nodded. "It seems so, thank you commander."
"So Tedak you want to do some target practice?"
"Yes I do," Tedak replied, "I have been out of practice for much too long." Matt started to respond but was interrupted by Doctor Eviston's voice coming over the intercom, calling him to sickbay for his physical. Tedak noted the mild laughter as Matt himself rolled his eyes in response, but he didn't join the laughter. He knew what the young commander had gone through, and had seem much of sickbay's inside far too often already.
"Tedak maybe you should go," Matt said smiling. He didn't want to go to sickbay, but there really was no believable reason not to.
"Oh I don't think so," Tedak smiled back, "my turn will come, trust me. And like everyone, I patiently await my turn." He winked at the commmander, only for him to see, though he didn't miss the slight smile on Rin's face.
Several minutes after Matt had left the bridge on his own, Rin's name was called and the smile disappeared from her face. She had to go but now the Klingon would be left on his own. To save her from directing the Klingon elsewhere, he beckoned him over. "Ambassador, how long has it been since you've done any targetpractice aboard a Federation vessel?" the Romulan asked him, rather innocently, "how about we go through it together and assist one another where we can? Consider it practice for future working relationships, if anything else."

OCC: I'll do the Klingon...
"I have never done any target practice aboard a federation vessel. However, I have served as a weapons officer in the imperial fleet, and have occasionally done target practice at federation starships." Kralok grunted. "And the occasional romulan vessel too."
<Tedak>
"It was a long time ago. I don't believe that the systems aboard a federation ship can't be too different." he sighed. "I guess There's no reason not to- Romulan." He spoke the last word as a mild insult, as if questioning Tedak's abilities.

meanwhile, Jeff was sitting at his office screen, trying to do things at once: monitor Some new improvements to the computer core and research all he could on the Nebula and jem hadar ships that he could.
All in all, not much data. there wasn't much info on the nebula, but there was enough on the Attack ship. Data on critical systems mainly, It was from a mission by Captain Sisko when they were using it to go behind the lines during the Dominion war, and only critical data was readily available. Raw data from the initial scans was available, but that would take weeks of analysis to come up with anything.
The ship wasn't capable of much. It's shielding though... A very strange configuration. It looked like it might react with other harmonics near it "like other shields." he muttered. It made perfect sense, really. A way to weaken you're opponent's shields before you even opened fire...
But that wasn't important right now. It was getting late, and sleep was a rare commodity it seemed.

"I guess There's no reason not to- Romulan."
Tedak pretended not to hear the mild insult, remembering a Vulcan saying: 'there's no offense when none is taken'. As long as he took none, there was none. "No I completely agree with you ambassador," he replied pleasantly, "they can't be too different. Nor from Romulan controls I think, though I admit I've never fired a weapon at a Federation ship."
Deciding to play along, he smiled. "I fear I've never had that pleasure." He heard sharp breaths being taken upon his comment, but he chose to ingore them too. "Since you seem to have had some practice, why don't you show me how this works?"
<Kralok>
The Romulan shrugged. "All suits me fine ambassador, but I assumed that getting some work relationship going might help us along later on, when we enter the nebula." He turned back to Johnson. "Are you ready commander? I'm ready when you are, with or without Ambassador Kralok's assistance. I've got to learn this one way or the other."
<Johnson..a response by now would really be appreciated>

(OFF: Jumping this post ahead to the end of shift. Don't feel you have to jump ahead, I did this to cover my absence. This week please use Billi and Rin to keep them busy and in the storyline, I will try to post nightly after getting home from the hospital but don‘t depend on it.)
Billi was still writing up reports when Rin appeared and rang the chime to her office. She looked up and smiled motioning for her to enter. “Please have a seat.” Billi picked up the report which showed the results to Matts physical. “I have something I could use your help with.” She motioned to the PADD. “Matt needs to be doing a series of exercises or he will not regain full use of his leg and I would like you to do them with him. Give him a reason to do the exercises. “
She continued to explain what needed to be done. and passed a second PADD to Rin. “Here is a list of the exercises and the length of time he should do them. I’m expecting him to come down since I know his shift is over with as well but wanted to talk to you first.”
Rin nodded “I understand and will do my best to get him to do them for you.” she said as she read over the list. “They don’t seem that hard.”
“If there is nothing else I have work to do on the bridge.” Rin said as she stood up.
Billi stood as well. “Of course Ambassador and thank you.” she said. Rin leaving a short time later and heading back to the bridge while Billi went back to her reports and waited for Matt to appear.

Matt would never admit it to anyone, but he was in serious pain at the moment. The pain in his injured leg was immense and only shear will was stopping him from screaming out in pain. Sweat was visibly following down his brow and face, but he kept walking on. He would not let this stupid injury stop him from living his life.
Once on the bridge, he was relieved to see that everyone's attention was in Tedak's direction and so he quietly made his way to his console and let the pain pass. It took a couple of minutes, but the pain passed and Matt wiped the sweat of his face.
"I guess There's no reason not to- Romulan."
Matt expected Tedak to say something harsh and equally insulting, but he was surprised when Tedak kept things civil and nice.
"No I completely agree with you ambassador," he replied pleasantly, "they can't be too different. Nor from Romulan controls I think, though I admit I've never fired a weapon at a Federation ship."
It amazed Matt to see these two long enemies talking to each other. In fact it amazed him even more that they were on a Federation vessel. Two decades ago this would of never be seen with just a few exceptions. The Romulan and Klingon Empires were seen as hostile powers, but now relative peace engulfed the alpha and beta quadrants. It had been 17 years since the Dominion lost the largest war in interstellar history and the Federation has been blessed to see peace last so long.
Tedak and Ambassador Kralok exemplified this fact and gave Matt hope that his children would never have to experience things that he or his parents had to live through.
Matt saw the Jefferson's phaser fire at the target buoy that Alex has put out in front of the ship. This was followed by five minutes of easy fire shots, not giving them a challenge at all.
"Tedak, why don't we make it a bit more harder," Matt said finally putting his thoughts away and joining the rest of the staff in the fun.

.: Arrival At The Nebula :. "On the main viewer please!" Zhukarak requested as the report came in that the nebula was within visual range, albeit with high magnification of their external sensors.
"How long before we are within standard scanning range?" Zhuk asked.
His helmsman responded. "3 hours and 17 minutes, sir."
"Good. Commander Matthew, inform the Ambassadors of our arrival time and that they can then observe our scans at that time."
Commander Matthew sent the appropriate messages.
"Mr. Reynolds, please make sure that all non-critical power be diverted for these scans when we are in range."
<Matt>
Zhukarak was wondering how his marine officer was fairing, having been detailed with the extra security since the Klingon ambassador had been aboard. ~What better way to find out than to ask him...~ Zhuk thought to himself. "Lieutenant Hunter, status report."<William>.: Engineering :. Just over three hours was the last report of when they would be within range of the nebula. Timing was the key. The young engineer had already modified several of the Boosters along various EPS conduits with acetin, that would be injected at his command to start disrupting power to various systems, but he had to wait until they were in range to make it appear that it was the nebula that was at fault.

"About time" the romulan replied with a smile, "this was getting tedious." He was glad that the practice was about to become a little more challenging, as by now he'd gotten the hang of the targeting systems fairly well.
~ at the nebula ~
Tedak stared at the nebuly, meshmerized by the swirling colours that encompassed it. "It's beautiful," he breathed, unable to tear his eyes away from the viewscreen.
The Romulan was still sitting at the tactical station, though by now Rin had temporarily taken over the controls, also to have a little practice at using Federation starship systems. The Klingon was still present as well, but he appeared to be snoring. Tedak nudged his Klingon collegue, who grunted angrily in response. "Look," Tedak urged, "isn't it beautiful?"
Kralok looked at the viewscreen and just wrinkled his nose while grunting some more. "Not as beautiful as a Klingon female warrior in a fighting stance with her batleth."
Tedak overheard Hrisvalar instruct his crew into informing them about their arrival. Quietly he cleared his throat. "Uhm captain, we're still here," he commented, "but yes we would like to study any scans you make, so that we can prepare a course of action, so to speak."
"Feel free to have Mr. Reynolds show you the results." Zhuk answered.

Scene: Sickbay, Deck 7, USS JEFFERSON
Matt knew that it wouldn't be smart of him to skip his doctor's visit. He was a hundred percent positive that if he didn't show up in sickbay, Billi would hunt him down and he didn't want that to happen. She hadn't hinted putting him on medical leave so as right now everything was going good.
When he entered sickbay he saw a female officer button up her vest and thank the Billi. It seemed that people were just getting there physicals out of the way.
"Hey Billi," Matt said smiling as he got closer to his friend.
"Matt, glad that you came by," Billi said putting down her PADD. Billi headed into her office and Matt slowly followed her in.
"Is there something that you want to tell me?" Matt asked hoping that it would just be a talking to.

Everyone on the ship was at their station. They knew that they were close to their destination and they wanted to get this mission officially on its way. That couldn't be more true for Matt, who just wanted to relax and do not much else, but real life wasn't that easy.
"Mr. Reynolds, please make sure that all non-critical power be diverted for these scans when we are in range."
Col. Hrisvalar's order brought Matt out of his thoughts and did as he was told.
"Yes Col. sensors of reached max output," Matt said as he magnified the viewscreen and a beautiful nebula appeared in front of them. "It's beautiful."
After the initial minute of appreciation of the nebula Matt started to read out the initial reports that had just arrived at his station.
"Col. the nebula seems not to show any unusual readings, but that could be just because we are so far away," Matt said still reading from his readings. Matt was a bit disappointed at this fact, the scientist in him wanted to get to work immediately and if he found something unusual it would be all the better.
"Yes. We'll have to wait and see when we get closer to the nebula." Zhukarak was thinking back on his first encounter with this nebula and all of the interference it was causing then.

[Semi-back post because I’m slow in reading right now due to my LOA]
[Bridge]
Rin was practicing her tactical skills with some minor encouragement from Tedak. She was nervous, and it showed as her hands ran over the controls. She realized how content she was at being an ambassador and not a tactical officer.
These were her thoughts as she left the bridge for the evening, spending the time before bed studying the material that Ambassador Tedak had given her prior to their leaving the Starbase.
[Sickbay]
Billi was just completing a physical on one of the Jefferson’s crew when Matt showed up.
"Hey Billi," Matt said.
"Matt, glad that you came by," Billi said as she headed into her office.
"Is there something that you want to tell me?" Matt.
Billi laughed as she picked up a PADD on the side of her desk. “I think I promised you a new exercise regime.” She said as she passed over the PADD. “You’ll find information on the new exercises and the length of time it should take for each one. "
She realized he was not happy with this new plan but also knew that he would accept it and forgive her eventually. As he turned to leave she spoke up one last time. “By the way … you have an exercise partner …”
He turned and looked at her with a questioning look.
Billi smiled. “Rin ..” ****** [The Next Morning, on the Bridge]
Rin stood near the tactical station, the Klingon Ambassador nearby and Tedak at the controls. Her hands clasped behind her back as she listened to the officers chatting around her.
Billi had just exited the turbolift, fastening the last of the toggles on her jacket as she did, and taking her place near the lift, out of the way of those on the bridge. She made it a practice to spent her mornings watching the officers move back and forth on the bridge before heading for her office below and her own workload. Both girls looked up at the view screen as Matt enlarged the view of the nebula.

At last the target practice was over and Tedak shot Kralok a satisfied smile. They'd done well together. Looking at Rin, he gave her a complementing pat on the shoulder. "You've done well too Miss Damis," he told her, "I never took you to be such a good shot."
<Rin>
Then he caught Billi's glaring glance and his breath caught at the back of his throat. He was supposed to have come down to sickbay for a medicl check-up. "You could've warned me," he chided Rin, "then I would've made myself scarce before she'd arrive here." Yet he grinned at the young woman, before vacating his seat to her.
The Romulan walked up to the CMO. "Sorry," he whispered to her, keeping a little distance between them. It wouldn't do to flaunt their personal business in front of the rest of the senior staff. "I will be back soon colonel," he informed Hrisvalar, "just need to get this tiny annoying part out of the way. While I'm at it, I'm going to take a little break too. I should be back in about two hours."
"I understand, Ambassador!" Knowing full well that he could only postpone his own visit only for so long.
He departed the bridge together with Billi and the two of them headed down to sickbay. It had been a while since he'd been succumbing to a full physical, yet he knew after the injury he had inflicted on himself while practicing on a holodeck would need thorough monitoring. "What's your verdict doctor?" he asked her, smiling innocnently as he settled on the biobed.

Scene: Bridge, Deck 1, USS JEFFERSON
It was already a common site to see Matthew Reynolds of the USS Jefferson hit, berate, and swear at his consoles. It was a love hate relationship that Matt always seemed to lose. The ship had been getting closer to the nebula for the last two hours and the scans barely gave him any information that he could use.
Matt had already established the nebula was a cross between protostellar nebula and a type 11 nebula. He had never seen nothing like it but it outer interference was making it very hard to get sensors through. Matt could only guess what the nebula was made of, so until he knew exactly he would continue scanning.
"Commander Johnson, how much farther until we reach the nebula?" Matt asked of his first friend on the Jefferson.

"Okay thanks," Matt said as he programmed the sensors to work with their estimated arrival. Every five hundred million miles the ship would send a powerful burst of energy directed at the nebula. Hopefully that would make it react and the sensors would be able to get some valuable information.
As the Jefferson sped along towards the nebula the ship slightly jolted in place. At first Matt didn't think nothing about it until about thirty minutes later it happened again and this time with much more energy.
"Commander Reynolds what is happening?" Col. Hrisvalar asked from his seat.
"Scanning the immediate area," Matt said as he scanned the system they were in. To his surprised he didn't find anything at all. The system that they were currently in barely had three Minshara class planets. There was nothing that could be making the ship act strangely. The only thing of merit was the nebula that they were heading to, but that was still lightyears away.
"Captain I'm reading a reduction in speed, 9.4..9.2..8.9..8.5," Matt reported now alarmed.
"Commander what is causing these malfunctions in our systems?" Col Hrisvalar asked clearly annoyed.
"I don't know sir, sensors don't show anything out of the ordinary," Matt said," the only thing out here is the.....nebula."

Scene :Cmdr Matthew Quarters
Computer start "First officer Log,
Star date 140315.2054. Cmdr Matthew :reporting After an unusual events of evening past and an uneventful day since, this one draws to a close." "Our staff meeting went well this morning although we had little in the way of answers to our Questions .
Our new Intelligence Officer, Lieutenant Commander Eaton who arrived on board just before we got underway seemed to know more than he let on. At least that was my read on him. It may be my lack of trust or my paranoia getting the better of me.
I Have Assigned him one of the senior staff quarters - to keep him close. I have not had the opportunity to Talk to Counselor Roberts Yet . Her _insight_ might be helpful.
“I had Lt , John look into his Starfleet records, and there was nothing unusual there." Matthew paused for a moment, taking a slip from his Cup., before speaking again. . I'm not sure how anyone could make that look good.
" James paused a moment again, this time visibly calming himself. "Perhaps Ryan’s Music Concert will offer a little diversion tomorrow evening will take some of the pressure off the Crew." James scratched his scalp.
Just at that moment the computer voice ( 0900 hours you have appointment with Doctor Eviston for your General physical, " James look up at his chronometer.
"Damm" "Computer, delete last phrase." <Last phrase deleted.> "Computer, End log."

When the ship was violently jarred, Theel'Zhiin let out a shrill sound, jumped up to take flight with his extended wings, and then disappeared to go 'between' before he seemingly would have slammed into the bulkhead.
Zhukarak was not worried for him. He knew how to take care of himself. When the ship was shaken so violently, Zhuk of course saw it as a curse but at the same time he was happy that this would preclude him form having to make his visit to the good doctor..for now.
Commander Reynolds had already indicated that he wasn't sure what the cause was. Zhuk needed more.
"FULL STOP! ALL STATIONS REPORT!"
