DanTrek seemed to have been successful in locking out the environmental control systems. The Computer noted that dozens of people had attempted temperature adjustments, but they had all failed. He also noted an attempt to get into the control net, which fortunately, due to the encryption protocols he set up, had also failed.
His species prefered temperatures cooler than that of Starfleet standard, and he had been able to stand it, but now, he had developed a sensitivity to heat, and thus had lowered the temperature of the ship significantly. The ship had been far too warm before.
It was now 0500 hours, and DanTrek was still working in Engineering. He had added multiples adaptive sub-routines to the ECM countermeasure protocols.
DanTrek: Computer, re-calculate current ECM countermeasure capability.
Computer: ECM counter-capability at 92% effectiveness.
DanTrek [practically growling]: Excellent. As good as a Sovereign-class. But I must get it higher! How do I get it higher?!
Two or three technicians around him now looked at him in worry.
DanTrek: What are you all looking at? Get back to work!
They immediately turned and continued working. DanTrek then sensed a change in vibration of the deck plating.
DanTrek: Ensign Williams, readjust the matter-antimatter flow-ratio.
Williams: Sir?
DanTrek: Do it.
Williams: Yes, sir....And Commander, how did you know they were out of balance.
DanTrek: A change in the frequency of the vibration of the deck plating.
Williams: Ah...whatever you say, sir.

Captain Gus Weill stood up, his profile quite pale, he was cold but also extremely tired, his first officer looked at him with a face of curiosity, he opened his mouth to say something than closed it, he opened it again and than closed it, the words did not appear, but the officers around him knew how difficult it would be for him.
Weill: “ What are you trying to say Commander”?
Majeski: “ Me sir, nothing sir……… ok sir……well its just I am concerned, you don’t seem yourself”
Weill: “Don’t I, I am feeling under the weather but I am fine, don’t fuss Commander, now I must be going, Command you have the bridge and please don’t become to suspicious of those around you”
Majeski: “ Yes sir”
Weill walked out with a smile of satisfaction of embarrassing the Commander in front of the staff, he began to feel slightly cold, he felt like he was being trapped, he left the bridge and went down the turbolft, the turbo lift was empty apart from his, he didn’t say anything than asked the computer to go to Sickbay, not long and he was outside the doors, he walked in and found the doctor working on some specimens and he than walked up to her and didn’t say anything.
Lise: “ Anything I can help you with Captain?”
Weill: “Yes Doctor you can, I am worrying a bit about Commander Majeski, he isn’t himself, I suggest he come in for you evaluation, he just doesn’t seem right”
Lise: “ Not that I have noticed but I haven’t been around much, How so?”
Weill: “Well he keep looking around and asking stupid questions, he doesn’t concentrate on his job, but he does on me”
Lise: “Interesting……… I will get the tests ready, I will ask him to come down shortly”
Weill: “ I will go and tell him now, I have to go to the bridge anyway,”
Weill walked out without saying anything and retraced his footsteps and walked back onto the bridge, the Commander again turned around with a slight reaction of shock and Weill walked heavily footed and stood squarely at the Commander who was sitting and just looked for a few seconds, the whole bridge crew looked.
Weill: “Commander could I see you in my ready room now”
Majeski: “ Yes of course sir”
They walked in and Weill didn’t sit down but walked around in a nervous fashion, Majeski went in and stood near the desk, he looked at the Captain who paced and than yet again squared himself with the First officer
Weill: “You are herby relieved of duty until the Doctor has examined you”
Majeski: “ Yes sir, may I ask why, have I done anything wrong”
Weill: “I don’t feel you are at your best, its not conducive to the ship, I feel you should at least be checked over, please report now, dismissed”
The Commander walked out looked quite shaken, the face of the Commander was sullen and he slowly walked out, Weill was focusing on him but on his desk he opened a draw and took out a hand phaser, he tucked it into his pouch, as it was a type 2 it fitted where nobody could se it, he than briskly walked out of his room and went around the turbolift, he found eh Commander near the Ops station talking to someone
Weill: “ When I said go to sickbay Commander I meant now, don’t disobey my orders…….Doctor Lise, Commander Majeski is on his way, please make sure he arrives within the next 3 minutes if he doesn’t please ask one of your staff to collect him”
Weill than walked into the turbolift and went down, he came out near the forward lounge, as Captain he hadn’t been in it very often and it was not something he liked doing normally, but than again he was almost a different man, he walked and saw a young Ensign walked in just about the same time as him.
Weill: “ Ensign, will you join me”
Barker: “ Me sir”
Weill: “ Yes you”
Barker: “It would be an honour sir”
Weill: “ Ok what will you be having?”
Barker: “ A iced tea please”
Weill: “ One iced tea and a blood wine please………… now now, I haven’t spoken to you in a long while, how have you been on the new ship?”
Barker: “ Very well thank you sir, it’s a lovely ship”
Weill leant over the young Ensign to get the drinks when he saw the young neck of the Ensign, he closed in to draw the precious fluid that he for some unknown reason felt he needed, he got close and than he pulled back
Lise: “ Captain, I thought I should tell you, Commander Majeski has arrived”
Weill: “ Thank you Doctor, I want you to keep him there until all possible tests are complete, if you feel it necessary please call in the Counsellor, as this must be thorough ”
Lise: “ of course sir”
Weill than closed the channel and gave the drink to the Ensign, they went and sat down on the settee near one of the large forward windows, the Ensign looked slightly shy and just looked through the window, every few minutes drinking from the cup. Weill was silent, he kept looking at the young neck, and he didn’t notice that the mess hall was filling u, he than said to the young Ensign
Weill: “ You have got something on your shoulder, I shall remove it”
Barker: “Thank you sir”
He pulled his hand out near her shoulder ready to pull I her neck and than he lunged forward, pulling her neck, her should flew over, the tea she was drinking splashed into his eyes, his teeth barley touched her neck, not enough to puncture the surface, he bashed her across the face to get her away, she touched her neck and than yelled, he ran out of the mess hall, his com badge was on the settee. The sound of security announcements went over the tannoys. But Weill was into a jefferies tube. He moved like greese lighting, pulling himself along the wall more like a frog than a human, he move from junction to junction..................

=/\= All hands, this is Commander Dixon. Captain Weill appears to be suffering some form of psychotic episode. We do not know if he is armed, but is considered dangerous =/\=
DanTrek listened to this message, and various members of the Engineering team began to panic. He could almost sense Weill's emotions One of my brethren is in trouble, DanTrek thought to himself, but I must not aid him just yet. I must not reveal now. He turned to the Engineering Staff.
DanTrek: Alright everyone, stay calm! Paria, seal the door to Engineering. Joktel, start sealing the Jeffries tubes leading to this room. Everyone arm yourselves!

Alex was just getting onto the turbolift when the Security alarm went off. Puzzled, he changed the lifts destination from Deck 4 to the bridge. When he stepped off, there was barely controlled panic in the air. Alex quickly moved to the Captain's chair, where, surprisingly, a lieutenant sat. Her name was Lt. Palan. Looking around, Alex could see that he was the ranking officer on the bridge. He wondered where Majeski was, seeing as it was his shift.
"Report" Alex ordered while gesturing at the lieutenant to relinquish the chair. She did so willingly.
"Sir, the captain attacked Ensign Barker in the Mess Hall and was last seen entering the Jeffries tubes on Deck 2" she said tersely. Alex was shocked.
"Where's Commander Majeski?" Alex questioned.
"The Captain sent him to sickbay for some reason" Lt. Palan reported.
Alex was in a bind. The captain knew more about the ship than anybody and had all the command codes, yet there was obviously something wrong with his mental state. He had to do something, but his options were very limited. "Lt. Palan, are you the duty officer?" The young woman nodded. "Good. Computer, override Level 10 Security lockout. Authorization Dixon 1 7 4 Gamma Epsilon Blue."
The computer beeped a few times after accepting that command, then said "Authorization of second command grade officer required to override Level 10 security lockout."
Alex looked over at Lt. Palan. She opened her mouth and in a shaky but determined voice said "Computer, I concur. Override Level 10 security lockout. Authorization Palan Beta 4 A Omega."
"Accepted. Level 10 Security level overridden"
Alex released a breath he didn't know he was holding. He hadn't really expected that to work, as he assumed that the captain would lock out command functions. That made Dixon even more worried about his captain.
Well, he had to continue. "Computer, transfer command codes to Commander Alex Dixon, authorization Dixon 1 7 4 Gamma Epsilon Blue and localize command functions to the bridge only."
"Command codes transferred. Command function localized to the bridge."
Alex heaved a sigh of relief and opened shipwide communications "All hands, this is Commander Dixon. Captain Weill appears to be suffering some form of psychotic episode. We do not know if he is armed, but is considered dangerous."
Alex paused for a second and looked around. Everyone on the bridge was staring at him, and it occurred to Alex that he was in command for the first time. It would be a terrible time to make a mistake. Alex looked at the tactical station. It was Beta shift, so the Tactical Officer was Lt. Bern, a Vulcan. "Lt. Bern, I want you to isolate the bridge with force fields, then open the weapons locker and arm all bridge personel. Weapons on stun only." The Vulcan nodded and started distributing phasers to everyone. "Lt Belinia, bring us to impulse and open a channel to sickbay." The operations officer nodded and the ship slowed.
"Sickbay, Commander Lise here" the doctor's voice answered the comm.
"Doctor, is Commander Majeski there?" Alex asked.
"Yes, the captain ordered him to be examined" she answered.
"The captain has attacked on of the crew and is hiding in the Jeffries tubes somewhere. Release Commander Majeski and prepare a medical team. Bridge out."
Alex closed the channel and sat down in the Captain's chair. "Lt. Bern, initiate a deck by deck search for Captain Weill using the internal sensors. Use his latest medical records as a basis for comparison. Also lockout all transporters and shuttles, in case he decides to use them" Alex ordered, and the Tactical officer began to enter the commands. Alex tried to think like the Captain. What would he do next?

Weill lurched out of a tube, his face read with fatigue, he felt the space around him enclosing in, he pulled himself into another tube and than slithered along with a speed that most wouldn’t credit him with and than he got to a bullhead hatch, he pressed the release button and the computer beeped
Computer: “ Access denied, location verified”
Weill pressed the release button again,
Computer: “ Access denied, location verified”
Weill hissed, his face read not with fatigue but with anger, he ran along the small tube, in a crouched position and he searched and saw a panel moving, he saw 2 security officers enter, he kicked a panel and fell into a corridor from the side, the security officers moved in and he sprinted up the corridor and hid from passing officers, he moved out and entered the security office, it was empty, he walked towards the panel, the door was locked out, looking like a malfunction.
He pressed the buttons which altered the sensors, they were shut off in the engineering quarter, but this was only noticeable from the security offices detailed scanning centre, Weill hid the area that was lacking sensor support, he than moved to the weapons cabinet and took 3 grey canisters. After picking them up he transported himself to the area that was without sensors, luckily it was a storage area, he moved in towards a cabinet.
Annastazine GAS it read, he grinned like child finding an assortment of their favourite confectionary, and he took for mini canisters and than filled the large canister with Bio medis 10, a secret compound that was highly explosive.
He moved out of the bay and saw nothing, than he saw Commander Majeski running to the local turbo lift, Weill waited until he had moved than ran across the hall to the Jeffries tube and he remembered that he could get to the environmental control from there without hindrance, after some time he jumped into the small claustrophobic room that was environmental control, he put the annastzine into the release port, but he didn’t release it, instead he put a timer on, it would release in 4 minutes into the engineering deck.
After this act he retraced his steps to the turbo lift where Majeski entered the lift, Weill climbed in and crawled up the side, he saw just what he wanted, his dark Brown eyes glistened, a sign of strong hate towards his prey, he opened hr panel and released some of the canister, a turbo lift moved up, someone was going somewhere so he kept releasing the explosive into the panel which lead to all other areas of Turbo control, this system was the communication system which told the turbo lift where to go, if knocked out the lists would break down and with the explosive it would most probable damage the turbo lifts for the foreseeable future.
He waited until the annastazine was going to release, he heard the alarm warning of the anastazine, than he ignited the turbo lift, he moved with extreme speed to get out of the tube.
The explosion was heard and he pushed him without lenience out of the tube and across the corridor.
He saw Commander Dantrek look down at him………………………

Captain Weill looked up at DanTrek and starting stepping back and turning slightly.
DanTrek: Do not fear, Captain. We are now brethren in the Brotherhood of Vampires. I am here to help you. In here.
::They climbed into a Jeffries tube junction::
DanTrek: They do not suspect me yet, although I fear my Engineering Staff will soon figure out what has happened to me.
::He pulled out a tricorder from a tool kit::
DanTrek: Take this tricorder. I have reconfigured to emit a dispersal field to mask your life-signs. It is also rigged with a transponder, broadcasting on an encrypted, rotating frequency. The only way to read the signal is from a tricorder in my possession.
::Weill took the tricorder and looked from DanTrek to it and to DanTrek again::
DanTrek: I am also read to set-up the sensors to emit a false life-sign, to keep them off your trail. I will actively control it, and have it move in a direction opposite to you. Head for my Engineering Office, you can hide there. I will set your signal as heading towards the Bridge.
::Voices came from out in the corridor::
DanTrek: Good luck, Captain.
::Weill climbed back into a Jeffries tube::
::DanTrek stepped into the corridor and found two Security Officers coming down the hall::
DanTrek: He's not down there.
::He continued to Engineering, and set up the false signal. It would now appear that Captain Weill was moving towards the Bridge. Consulting his tricorder, DanTrek found that Weill was actually 2 decks down from there and several sections away::

Alex picked himself up off of the deck and yelled "Report!!"
Lt. Bern was still entering commands into his console. "Explosion in turbolift 2 shaft, overload in turboshaft 1. Both are unusable for now, sir. Source of explosion seems to be near Deck 11."
Alex shook his head. Losing the turbolifts wasn't a big problem, but it would hamper his ability to move people around quickly. Alex was more concerned with the fact that the Captain was near Main Engineering. No telling what Weill would do if he got in there.
"Sir, I'm getting a strange power surge in the transporter subsystems" Lt. Belinia reported. Alex walked over to Ops and looked over Belinia's shoulder. How had the Captain managed that? There had been a site to site transport, somehow.
"Lieutenant, cut power to all transporter rooms, except for transporter room 1, and get a security team to transporter room 1. Get the one's on the shuttles shut down as well." Alex shook his head. What was the captain trying to do? Well, he couldn't transport now, none of the transporters had power. He should have done that in the first place. "Lt. Bern, tell me the where the transporter signal started and terminated."
Lt. Bern ran the signal trace. "Sir, the captain was on Deck 14, near the security office and beamed to Deck 11 near Engineering."
Alex sat back down in the captain's chair. If Weill wasn't armed before, he was now. "Have you been able to track him yet?"
"Negative. Actually, I just tracked him. He's inside Jeffries tube 17, near Deck 11. He's headed our way" Bern reported.
"There's a security team right near there! Contact them and ask if they saw anything" Alex ordered.
The tactical officer contacted the team. "Sorry sir, they report that neither they nor Commander DanTrek saw anything." Alex looked up at the tactical officer with puzzlement. What was DanTrek doing there and not in engineering?
Well, it didn't matter. "Lt. Bern, transport the captain directly to a holding cell in the brig."
"Aye, sir." Lt. Bern manipulated the controls. Then he tried again. "Sorry sir, I can't get a signal lock. He must be blocking it somehow."
Alex went up to the tactical station to see exactly what was going on. Once there, he could see Weill's signal moving along the Jeffries tube. "All right. Once he passes access door L14, establish containment fields at sections 4 and 5. There isn't any other way out of there. Then send security teams into the tube to collect the Captain. Tell the doctor to have her medical team ready." Lt. Bern nodded and passed the orders on. Alex stayed at tactical to watch the progress.
On the screen, the blip that represented Capt. Weill moved slowly through the tube towards one end of the trap. Then, the Security Teams moved into position and entered the tube as well. They converged right on top of where the captain should have been. The teams reported in. "There's no one here sir. It must have been a false signal being emitted from somewhere else on the ship."
Alex was very disappointed, but his mind worked quickly. "Security team, trace the signal to it's point of origin."
There was a pause. "Signal source in Engineering, sir."
Engineering again. What did the captain want with Engineering? Command functions were locked out and DanTrek had reported everything was sealed up. Where was the captain anyway? He must be using a tricorder to generate a low level dispersion field to mask his life signs. Tricorders. Alex knew a lot about tricorders.
Alex walked over to Ops. "Lt. Belinia, use the backup fusion generators to put out a pulse compression wave. That should temporarily disrupt the power supply of every tricorder on the ship. Lt. Bern, monitor the sensors closely. The effect will only last for a few seconds. Everyone ready?" Bern and Belinia nodded. "Initiate."
Lt. Belinia generated the wave with the fusion generators, and Lt. Bern called out immediately. "Captain Weill is in the Engineer's office!"
Alex nodded. "Send in Security" he ordered.

DanTrek felt a ripple through the air.
DanTrek: A Pulse Compression wave. My tricorder.
His tricorder fluctuated in power. They had been discovered then. He checked the internal sensors. Security was on its way. He went into his Office::
DanTrek: Captain, we have a problem. Dixon overloaded the tricorders and has found you. Security will be here in a few minutes. Head for Shuttlebay 1. Get the Type-9 Shuttle ready. Its the fatest we've got. I'm going to sabotage the engines of the Raven. Then I'll join you with this site-to-site transporter. Its set to beam me direct me into the Shuttle.
::DanTrek let the Captain in the Jeffries Tube then headed back out of the Office. He went over to the Warp-core Diagnostic station. He shut down the Warp core::
Joktel: Commander, what are you doing!
Dixon: =/\= Dixon to DanTrek, what's happening down there, Commander? We just lost Warp power =/\=
Joktel: =/\= Commander DanTrek has just shut down the Warp Core, and has locked up the Matter/Antimatter injectors, Sir =/\=
Dixon: =/\= Commander, why did you do that =/\=
DanTrek [growling]: =/\= To help my brethren =/\=
::Security then walked in::
Joktel [to Security guards]: Stop him, hes a Vampire!
::DanTrek beared his fangs and bolted for his Office. He rolled on the floor as Security fired phasers at him, but he got up and kept going. Upon reaching the Office, he set the site-to-site transport, and placed it on the floor. Security arrived just in time to see DanTrek crouched on the floor, dematerializing::#nosmileys#nosmileys#nosmileys#nosmileys#nosmileys

Weill moved towards the shuttle, he saw a security officer on the other side, Weill moved round and crawled, the security officer was young, slight hair, slightly apprehensive in his movements. Weill moved to the mans waist, that whacked him hard in the back, the man fell forward, Weill pounced like a cat onto his front and put his hands round the security officers neck, he saw the mans eyes rise and he fell unconscious.
Weill looked than got up, he moved to the console, he than opened the door on the shuttle, he got in and sat down, the panel lit up, it said immobilised, Weill hissed with disgust and annoyance.
He walked over to a panel and kicked it, he than saw Dantrek materialize near the doors of the shuttle, he nodded and ran into the shutte and got read to pilot the vessel away.
Weill put his hand in the poutch on his jacket and pulled his phaser out and set it to overload, he had 10 seconds to get away, he put the phaser in and closed the panel and than ran into the shuttle, he than heard the explosian, the beam had been cut that was holidng the shuttle in place and immbolising it.
The panel lit up and Dantrek got the engines started, a team of security ran in and fired at the shuttle, the shuttle began to fly, the shields were rasied and they flew straight through the shuttle bay doors...........................
OFF: Commander Dixon can you introduce Ensign Nathan Harper in as CTSO, i think he could be given a field appointment as CTSO? Thankyou, have fun catching us .

Commander Dixon stood over the Tactical position and hid his impatience. He felt like an excellent but untried bloodhound up against an old, wily fox. Two old, wily foxes, he reminded himself. DanTrek was on the other side as well. They had been outsmarting him neatly, but Alex thought that he might have them. He may not be the greatest tactician in Starfleet, but Alex knew that the Captain and Engineering officer would have to get off of the ship at some point. No matter how many tricks they had, eventually the fact that Alex had control of the command codes and all the personnel on the ship would lead to their capture. So, they had to get off of the ship. They were in the middle of space, so there was no place to beam off, and the ship was at impulse, thanks to DanTrek. It would take at least half an hour to re-intialize the injectors. So, they needed to get to the shuttles.
Alex had been trying to subtly manuever them in that direction for a while because he wanted them off of the ship too. Their tampering might lead to something more serious than a damaged turbolift and offline warp engines. And there was always the potential for the taking of hostages. That was something Alex wanted to avoid. Something else he wanted to avoid was telling anyone his plans. There was no telling who else on the ship might be involved with DanTrek and the Captain. Alex felt very alone.
So, they had finally taken the bait. The Captain had shown up in Shuttle Bay 1, followed a few seconds later by DanTrek and hopped into a Type 9 shuttle. "Sir, they're in. Attempting to access shuttle systems."
Alex walked over to the secondary Security console, which was being manned by Ensign Nathan Harper. "Ensign, monitor inputs to the shuttle and show it on your board."
"Yes, sir. I don't know how long I can do this before they see they're being monitored" the ensign replied while entering commands.
"That's fine ensign. I'm sure that they already know that we're trying to figure out what they're doing. If we don't try to monitor them, they'll be even more suspicious." The ensign looked at Alex out of the corner of his eye in a confused way and then returned to his instruments. Inside, Alex was very nervous, but tried not to let it show. He really only had Captain Weill and Captain One as command role models. One of the few things they had in common was an air of confidence and command, like they knew what was going to happen all the time. Alex was trying to copy them, and not sure he was doing a good job. In the meantime, Weill and DanTrek were trying to take over the shuttle. Alex watched with amazement the speed that they overrode the security. They were both excellent officers, and knew their stuff.
In short order, the two rogue officers had managed to take command of the shuttle and piloted it out of the bay. Alex watched with interest as they set a course to the Cata Nebula. It was heavy with actinides , radiation and new stars. It would be a good place to go if you wanted to hide your true destination. However, Alex had no intention of letting them get that far. They were on the shuttle now, and there was nowhere for them to hide.
"Alright Harper, reactivate the direct comm to the shuttle's computer and order the drive and defensive systems shutdown" Alex ordered.
The ensign entered the commands, while the shuttle continued on it's way. "The shuttle computer is denying entry, sir."
As expected, Alex thought. It didn't matter. Alex had overridden the command codes for the Captain and Engineer. "Shuttle Type 9, Level 10 emergency command override. Shut down engines and all defensive systems. Authorization Dixon 1 7 4 Gamma Epsilon Blue." The commander watched with satisfaction as the shuttle slowed to a stop. "Transporter room 1, energize and hold them in the pattern buffer. Verify that you have them."
There was a pause, while Alex agonized inside. "Yes, sir. It's confirmed. We have them in the pattern buffer. How long do you want me to hold them?"
"Stand by..." Alex looked back down at Ensign Harper. "Ensign, run an analysis of the two of them."
"Aye sir." There was silence on the bridge as they awaited the results. "What's that!?" Harper exclaimed.
Alex looked down at the readout. There appeared to be a foreign organism or virus in their systems. Alex entered some commands to see if the biofilter could get rid of them, but that didn't work. It looked like whatever it was bonded at the DNA level, causing changes within the DNA itself. Filtering it out might kill them.
Alex opened a channel to Sickbay. "Doctor Lise, access the biofilter and tell me what you see."
There was a pause. "What's that?" she exclaimed.
"It's whatever is causing the Captain and DanTrek to sabotage the ship" Alex replied. "I am going to be transporting them to separate cells in the brig. Figure out some way to cure them. Bridge out."
Alex then contacted the transporter room. "Chief, transport Weill and DanTrek into separate cells in the brig on my mark. Make sure that no equipment that they are carrying goes in with them, including tricorders, phasers or comm badges. Beam them in without their uniforms, if that's what it takes. Security, I am going to be transporting Weill and DanTrek into separate cells in the brig. Get three teams in there, and verify that they arrive. Notify me when you're ready."
Alex waited impatiently as the crew executed his orders. Finally, the ready call came in from Security. Alex contacted the transporter room. "Energize" he ordered. "Security, stand by."
Alex closed his eyes. "Bridge, this is security. Weill and DanTrek are in their cells. Medical teams on their way."
Alex walked back over to the command chair and sat down heavily. If this was what command was like, he was no longer sure he was interested. Too nervewracking.
At that moment, there was a commotion around the turbolift doors. Every bridge officer drew a phaser as the doors were forced open and Majeski dragged himself onto the bridge, swearing wildly. He stopped swearing as he saw the weapons pointed at him. Alex stood up and ordered Ensign Harper to scan Majeski with a tricorder to see if he had the virus, but Majeski was clean.
The first officer walked over to Alex. "What is going on around here? I've been trapped in the turboshaft for the last 10 minutes! I just climbed up 7 decks to get here."
Alex sighed deeply and started to explain.
OOC Hello ensign. I have written you onto the bridge for now. Feel free to join in on the mission.

OOC Sorry about double posting, but it's a slow day at work today...
IC
Alex was walking towards Sickbay and fingering the phaser at his side. He had left the bridge in Majeski's hands after explaining what happened with the Captain and Engineer and transferring the command codes to him. After some discussion between he and Alex, Majeski had decided to set course back to Starbase Assailant. They had more advanced medical facilities there.
Majeski had ordered him to coordinate the attempt between Medical and Science to come up with a cure for Weill and DanTrek. A schedule had been set up to test everyone in the crew to see if anyone else was infected. There was a medical team conducting an examination of the two of them in the brig, using full isolation protocols. Doctor Lise was in Sickbay, receiving and processing information. Lt. Ruten, the head of Life Sciences, and his team were examining the data from the biofilter. Alex was hopeful that they would come up with something soon.
Alex entered Sickbay and saw Dr. Lise sitting behind her desk. Another medical technician was holding several PADDs and monitoring information as it came in from the team examining Weill and DanTrek. She looked up as Commander Dixon walked into her office.
"Any progress, doctor?" Alex asked.
"Some, Commander" she replied. "The virus attaches itself to the hosts DNA. It also manages to infect different species, which is very unusual. There has been some discussion over subspace recently about a virus being loose on some ships and starbases. This may be the beginning of a large outbreak."
Alex was alarmed. How many on the ship were infected? "Doctor how is the virus transmitted?"
Lise shrugged. "I'm not really sure, although there is some indirect evidence. This is a swab from the neck of Ensign Barker, the woman that Weill attacked in the messhall. She claims that Weill tried to bite her. I took some samples from the area, and found the virus. She's not infected though."
"So you think that the virus is transmitted by one biting the other?" Alex was repulsed. It sounded like the old vampire tales the elders used to tell back home on Caldos 4.
"I believe so. The virus also brings about some odd physiological and psychological changes." She pulled out some scans of DanTrek and Weill for Alex to look at. "They both have evidence that their canine teeth have lengthened and been hollowed out, for delivery of the virus. They show evidence of increased strength and agility. Also, the activity in the hippocampal area of their brains is heightened, leading to increased agression and hostility."
Well, Alex wasn't aware that either Weill or DanTrek had bitten anyone else, so they were probably safe from someone else aboard being infected. However, that left another question. "Doctor, who was infected first?"
The doctor considered her reports. "My guess would be that Weill was. The viruses progress in changing his DNA is far more pronounced than DanTreks."
Captain Weill had attacked and bitten DanTrek? Not that Alex doubted the captain's abilities, but DanTrek was huge. Weill must have surprised him completely, somehow. This line of thought led to another question. "Doctor, if this disease is transmitted by bite, who bit the Captain?"
The doctor shrugged. "I don't know commander. No one else on the ship is infected. The medical team found two puncture wounds on DanTrek that weren't very old, indicating that he was bitten recently. The captain's virus is pretty far along. It's likely that Weill was attacked on Starbase Assailant."
"So the virus is on Assailant?" Alex was completely alarmed now. There were hundreds of thousands of people aboard and it was a hub of ships from all over the quadrant. If the virus was loose there, it could get anywhere. Alex needed to contact the Starbase.
An alarm klaxon suddenly went off. Alex looked around. It was a Security alert.

DanTrek was caught by the transporter beam. He had been setting up a transport inhibitor but was not succesful. He was held in longer, which led him to believe that they probably had scanned him and found the new-blood.
He rematerialized in a brig cell. Before him were over a dozen Security Officers. He noticed that the force-field was active, and that he no longer had his tricorder.
But he could also feel that his mental energy wave abilities had been strengthened by the new-blood. The power-feed to the force-field was susceptible to his control. He closed his eyes and placed the fingertips of each hand to the others. He concentrated on the power couplings.
He could feel the coupling being moved and bending under the stress. Suddenly it gave way and the force-field shut down. Security tried to react, but DanTrek directed the mental wave broadly across the room. All of the Security Officers were knocked against the far wall.
DanTrek stopped out of the cell and walked over to an unconscious Security guard. He took the compression phaser-rifle from his hands and walked over to a panel, ripped it off the wall, pulled out the tricorder inside and ducked it in his He went to deactivate the Captain's force-field, but he saw a still-conscious Security Officer raise his weapon.
DanTrek ran out of the room as the phaser blast hit the doorway. As he ran down the hall, the security alerts went off.
He stopped, pulled out the tricorder and set it to disrupt the nearby Artificial Gravity generators. The generators in all the adjacent decks and section went offline, and DanTrek started to float. He strapped the rifle to his back, put the open tricorder in his belt, and began pulling himself along the wall.

Weill was in the brig, he felt lost and like a caged animal, running at the beam, the security officer looked concerned, he moved closer to the beam ad than further away than moved forward his feet didnt seem stable, slightly nervous.
Weill: "Varule, let me out, i will leave the ship, i wont cause any problems to you"
he saw Dantrek leave than he saw Doctor Leese run in after a brief period, she ordered the security officer to defend her.
Weill: "Let me out, let me out, hissssssssssss"
Lise: " Calm down"
She than moved to the console and typed in some new commands, Weill jerked he saw a form of gas makes its way into the brig, he started to choke and cough, he than fell to his knees and his eyes closed and he than saw a transporter beam he than materialized under guard in sickbay, he was immobile, he saw the doctor move a hyprospray towards he neck than he lost conciousness.

Peter was really worried about the situation. He had no idea what was going on, other than the fact that the Captain and Commander DanTrek were now fugitives, and Vampires to boot! He glanced over to the Tactical station, then his console bleeped. "Commander DanTrek is loose sir, his bio signs have him heading towards cargo bay four." Peter looked at the Commander.
"What is in cargo bay four Lieutenant?" Dixon asked. "Sir, it's where we store the majority of engineering and medical supplies, It also has a small transporter. All transporters are off-line, like you orderd." Peter thought he recognised why it was this cargo bay DanTrek was heading towards. "Sir, that cargo bay is also where we repair the escape pods. It has a small engineering section to the rear where the work takes place." Peter could see the blank stare of the Commander. He pulled up the cargo manifest and work schedule of that cargo bay. "Escape pod 45/002/Alpha/Red is currently being serviced. If he is able to make it to the escape pod, he can disable the Myographic sensing device to mask his bio readings."

Weill woke up, frustrated, to the point of loosing consciousness, he waited for the right minute to leap up and take the sickbay and escape, he got ready saw and opening than jumped and his a tiny field which was inches from his body, he bashed it, than again, than again.
Weill: " Get me out of here....................."
Lise walked in and looked at him, she walked over to another hypospray
Weill: " Doctor I am better, let me out please...........pretty please"
Lise: " You are not better, and I wont, you will be better soon though"
There was than a beep, she walked into her office and looked at the computer, she read it............ it was a response to the query on Assailant, it also contained part of the cure, it had to be adapted for Weills anatomy, as his two hearts altered the situation.
Lise walked round to the trolley, she started mixing concoctions than going back to the information on the panel than adding and taking away various thing, Weill just sat back to regain his lost strength ready to attack, than she went over, within the containment field, Weill again lost consciousness.
Soon he woke up and felt like he had a splitting head ache and also that he had lost his memory, short term that was, he was worried than he saw Lise
Weill: “ Doctor what happened?”
Lise: “ I cured you, ………… you had contracted an illness which is transmitted by a bite”
Weill: “ Oh yes I remember now, I was attacked in my office, it was yes now I remember”
Lise: “ You must go and rest sir”
Weill: “ No Dantrek is still out there and we must catch him”
Lise: “ I can’t allow that, it would be against my advice at least”
Weill: “ Doctor, Dantrek could hurt someone else I can’t let that happen”
Weill walked out of the sickbay and saw a security team walking towards him, it was lead by a young officer
Weill: “Report?”
Harper: “ Captain, we are gradually containing Commander Dantrek within a small area and it is getting smaller”
Weill: “ And you are?”
Harper: “ Acting Ensign Nathan Harper, acting Chief Tactical and Security Officer”
Weill: “ Ok I will come with you, have you got a spare phaser, good thank you, we need to make sure they contain some of the antidote as this could inhibit him for a few seconds”
Harper: “ Sir? “
Weill: “ Surely you have seen the Commander he is big and very strong, we wont be able to catch him easily and as CEO he knows everything well, so if we include some of the antidote than this will distract him”
Harper: “ We could simulate the distracting by adding a more electrical feel to the phaser beam which when impacts on him would give him a slight shock……….. enough to distract him”
Soon enough Weill and the new CTSO were walking with the security team to Dantreks location they had modified their weapons and Weill was irritated as to how hard it was to contact this person, he than started thinking of other more drastic possibilities.

The number of sealed passageways DanTrek encountered was increasing. He recognized the tactic. They were attempting to corner him. He reached for his tricorder and programmed a site-to-site transport in. He exited the Jeffries tubes and entered a corridor.
10 meters down the corridor was Weill and a Security team. DanTrek could no longer sense the new-blood in Weill. He was no longer one of his brethren. DanTrek was thus alone on this Vessel.
Weill: DanTrek, we only want to help you.
DanTrek: NO! I will not surrender! ::he turned and started away::
Weill: Harper, give him a blast.
The phaser blast hit him in the back and caused him to stop.
Weill: It appears to be working. Again.
DanTrek once again halted. But he could feel a change in himself.
Weill: Again!
Another blast hit him. But he now felt even stronger than before. He turned to face them. His eyes glowed an even brighter red than before. He lifted his hand and sparks came from his fingers. His smiled evily
Weill: Hold your fire. He appears to be absorbing the energy. He's getting stronger.
::Harper lifted a tricorder and scanned him:: Not only that, but he's also developing a neuro-electrical field!
DanTrek lifted his tricorder. He tapped a key and initiated the site-to-site transport. He contined to smile as he dematerialized in front of them.
He rematerialized on the Aerowing Shuttle, one deck down. He quickly released the Docking clamps holding it in place and activated a transport inhibitor aboard the Shuttle. As he piloted away from the Raven, he fired and blew out the Tractor emitters.
He then set course again for the Catta Nebula.

OFF: As my knowledge of this mission is very limited as I have not been here from the beginning I believe it would be worth while for me not to post until after the mission has ended. Please feel free to use my character to fit with the Mission.
If you feel that I should, however, carry on with the mission then I shall.

Alex tapped his commbadge as the Security alert continued to go off. "Dixon to bridge. What's going on?"
A harried Commander Majeski answered. "Dan Trek has broken loose again. He's taken out the majority of the brig and is trying to get away from Security. We'll get him." Majeski closed the channel.
As he was standing in Sickbay, Alex suddenly started to rise off of the deck. The artificial gravity generators had gone off line, undoubtedly caused by the Chief Engineer. He was extremely resourceful.
Suddenly, the sickening sensation of gravity loss ceased, and Alex's boots were on the deck again. Majeski must have engaged the emergency override. Just as suddenly, Captain Weill appeared on a biobed, and Dr. Lise rushed over and injected him with a sedative.
Seeing everything was under control in Sickbay, Alex rushed out the door, while using his comm badge to monitor the attempt to corral Commander Trek. It didn't sound like it was going well. Majeski was having the same problems tracking Trek down as Alex had had.
However, the difference this time is that Alex knew where Dan Trek was probably headed. Dan Trek had the same problem this time as he had had last time. All of the Raven's resources were turned to his capture, and eventually Dan Trek would be overwhelmed by sheer force of numbers. So Dan Trek needed to get off of the ship, and Alex doubted that the same transporter trick that had worked against Dan Trek would work again. Alex decided that it would be best if he went to a shuttle. He hopped into the nearest accessway and started climbing to Deck 11.
Alex continued to monitor Security trying to corral Dan Trek. It wasn't going well. The last call was that Trek had engaged a site to site transport directly to the Aerowing Shuttle. Alex burst out of the crawlway and into the bay just in time to hear the warning that the Aerowing had destroyed some tractor beam emitters.
Alex knew that the Raven wouldn't be able to pursue right away as the warp engines were still off line, and if Dan Trek made it to the Cata Nebula, chances of tracking him were slim.
Quickly making his decision, Alex jumped into a Type 9 shuttle named the USS Osprey and flashed out of the bay in pursuit of Dan Trek.
Once Alex had cleared the bay, he locked Trek's shuttle onto his sensors, then activated the Ospreys defensive system and locked the computer under his own security code to keep Trek from assuming remote control of his ship.
The comm crackled. "Commander Dixon, what are you doing?" Majeski thundered.
"The Raven can't keep up with Dan Trek right now. I will keep you apprised of where he is. Dixon out."
Alex glanced down at his sensors. Trek had set a course for the Cata Nebula at top speed. Alex followed.

DanTrek was headed for the Catta Nebula. His sensors now showed that a Type-9 Shuttle was headed for him at top speed. Dixon was inside. This was just what DanTrek wanted. He headed back towards the Raven in a wide arc.
DanTrek activated a remote link-up to the Raven computer. Fortunately there were systems that didnt have a lot of Security blocks on them because they were non-essential. He gained access to the Escape Pod control systems. He set some flight paths into them.
He then launched them all simultaneously. 36 out of the 48 began flying in elliptical orbits around the Raven at various angles. The remaining 12 started flying away from the Raven in various directions at full impulse. One of them was headed straight for the Catta Nebula.
He activated the pulse generator onboard and sent it out to all the Escape Pods. It would now appear that his bio-signs were on every single one of them. He then set transport coordinates into the Computer for one of the Escape pods.
DanTrek: Computer, on my mark, I want you to slow to impulse, deactivate the transport inhibitor field and beam me to the specified Escape Pod. Once I am there, reactivate the Inhibitor Field, and set auto-pilot for the Catta Nebula and engage at Maximum Warp. Prepare to recieve Remote Instructions from my tricorder.
Computer: Acknowledged.
He took off his comm badge and attached it to the seat. He activated a scattering field with his tricorder so that they wouldn't be able to track the beam-out. He then stepped onto the Transporter Pad.
DanTrek: Computer, Mark.
The Computer began executing his instructions. A few moments later he was onboard one of the Escape Pods, headed away from the Catta Nebula, at a Heading of 180 Mark 150, relative to the Nebula.
He used the remote link to the Shuttle to track Dixon's shuttle as well. Dixon was gaining ground on the Aerowing.
He wondered what the crew on the Raven was thinking and doing at this moment.

Alex was following the Aerowing shuttle carrying Dan Trek when it executed an unexpected manuever. Instead of continuing towards the Cata Nebula, it changed course in a swooping turn and headed back towards the Raven. Alex changed course to intercept and readied his weapons. This was going to be a difficult combat. His shuttle was far faster and more maneuverable than the Aerowing, but that ship was far more heavily armed and armored than his ship. His other problem was that he only wanted to damage the Aerowing. Alex targeted his phasers on the phase transfer coil. It was the device that transferred energy from the reactor to the warp engines. If Alex could damage it, the engines would shut down.
As Alex was preparing to fire, warning lights started to flash on his console. He had programmed the computer to inform his if the Aerowing started emitting subspace signals. He was certain that he had locked out everything, but you never knew. However, the signals weren't directed at him, but at the Raven.
Undaunted, Alex fired his phaser, trying to knockout the phase coil, when suddenly every lifeboat from the Raven launched. Many of them started doing orbits around the Raven, while another dozen headed away at full impulse. The Aerowing veered sharply and returned to its' course towards the Cata Nebula. Alex scanned the lifeboats and found Dan Trek's life sign on all of them, including the Aerowing.
Alex was at a loss as to what to do, then the Raven was on the comm. "Weill to Osprey." Alex heaved a sigh of relief, the Captain was obviously back on duty.
"Go ahead, Captain."
"Commander, we're reading commander Trek on all of the shuttles and the Aerowing. We have no warp drive at the moment, but the lifeboats don't either. We will begin to collect the lifeboats using the Raven and the warp capable shuttles we have left aboard. You go after the Aerowing. Our sensors are reading a pulse generator emitting life signs to the lifeboats. If you disable the generator, we'll be able to determine which lifeboat Trek is on" Weill ordered.
"Aye sir, but what if Trek is still on the Aerowing?" Alex asked.
"If you disable the Aerowing, we'll still have him. Weill out." Alex nodded to himself. The captain was right. Alex set course after the Aerowing and readied phasers.

DanTrek saw that Dixon was closing fast on the Aerowing. He sent out a slightly modified pulse, and imprinted his bio-signs onto the energy matrices of the Life-boats. Now, even if the Aerowing was disabled, the bio-signatures would remain. He now made use of all the consoles on the Life-boat he was in to coordinate the remote operations.
Now he turned attention to Dixon. Fortunately Dixon was flying a Shuttle DanTrek had worked on the previous day. He still remembered the Shield Frequency and Modulation. He programmed them in and waited for Dixon to get close. DanTrek fired and took out his weapons. The Aerowing was safe, for now.
Now his attention turned to the Raven. They seemed to be having a little too easy of a time rounding up the Life-boats. They needed a distraction. He broke into the Raven's Computer and accessed the internal sensors. He created a false signal of his own bio-signs. He put himself on Deck 12, heading towards the Deflector Control.

OOC Sorry, this one is pretty long. I didn't realize how big it was till I saw it posted.
Alex shook the sweat out of his eyes and prepared for another pass at Trek's Aerowing. The Cata Nebula was getting perilously close, and the combat had knocked out the Osprey's proximity detector, pretty much the only sensor that would work while the shuttle was in a nebula, along with several other important systems. The combat was even more difficult considering the condition the phasers were in after Trek's initial attack. It had taken a few minutes for Alex to get the phasers back online. Since then, Alex had put the shields and phasers into a random frequency shift mode to avoid it happening again. It was imperative that Alex disable the other shuttle before much longer. On the high side of things, Alex had caused more damage to the Aerowing than the Osprey had taken.
As the combat had continued, Alex had become convinced that Commander Trek wasn't aboard the Aerowing and was piloting the vehicle remotely. The other ship was not reacting as quickly as it could be. This could be explained through the fact that readings would have to pass from the ship to where ever Dan Trek was, then he would have to react and transmit them back to the Aerowing. As such, Alex was having more success than he probably should against the larger, more powerful ship.
Alex had caused a fair bit of damage to the Aerowing. It's shields were down to 41%, and the phase coil he had been targeting had been hit several times, leaving the Aerowing only able to travel at about Warp 2. His success hadn't come without cost though. The Osprey's shields were down to 60%, his phaser transfer coils were overheating and structural integrity was down.
Alex was closing in and preparing to fire when the Aerowing used it's RCS thrusters to change direction, causing Alex to miss completely. The ship set a near collision course with the Osprey and fired a volley of mini-torpedoes. Alex skewed the ship using his thrusters, causing the torpedoes to miss, but Dan Trek was already firing the Aerowing's phasers, scoring a long hit on the Osprey's starboard shields and causing an partial overload in the plasma transfer system. The two ships passed less than 100 meters from one another. With great quickness, Alex shut down his warp drive, redirected that energy to the phaser emitters, pivoted the ship with the thrusters and fired. The high power blast fired at nearly point blank range ripped into the Aerowings aft shields, causing them to collapse. The energy beam then struck the Aerowings hull, causing heavy structural damage.
That reaction delay made the hit worse. A pilot who was actually aboard the shuttle might have averted additional damage, but where ever Trek was, he couldn't react fast enough. Dan Trek fired the starboard RCS thrusters and pushed the Aerowing out of the way, but the movement merely swept the phaser fire across the hull, causing more structural damage and hitting the main fusion reactor, causing a large explosion. As a result, while still having warp, the Aerowing lost impulse power and suffered a further 25% drop in structural integrity. Dan Trek fired two mini torpedoes at the Osprey, but the Aerowing's course was fluctuating wildly and they both missed by a fair margin.
Alex reengaged the warp engines to put some distance in between the Osprey and the Aerowing and then paralleled it's course out of weapons range while he decided what to do next. He noted that the other ships speed had been reduced to about Warp 1.5 and it was trailing debris and various gases from the drive system. Aft shields were gone, along with two phaser strips and the pulse generator. The Aerowing re-assumed it's shaky course to the Cata Nebula.
Alex glanced down at the Osprey's damage control board. He had a lot of red lights flashing at him. Of primary concern were the phaser coils. Funneling warp power through the coils had done a lot of damage to the Aerowing, but the extra energy had nearly burned the coils out. They might only have a few shots left in them before they overloaded completely. The plasma transfer system overload had also caused an energy spike in his power core. It wasn't serious, but needed to be watched.
Choosing his course carefully, Alex approached the Aerowing the port side, as the two phaser strips on that flank were not functioning. Trek responded by putting the Aerowing into a looping barrel roll, which would have allowed him to fire the starboard phasers at the Osprey and kept his funtioning shields in play.
Frowning, Alex executed a sharp starboard turn which would allow him to attack the Aerowing in the vulnerable aft sections where shields were down, but Trek rotated his ship and let it coast, placing his forward shields between the Osprey and the Aerowing. It seemed that Trek knew Alex might only have a few shots left with his phasers.
Alex decided that this cat and mouse tactical flying wasn't doing him any good. The Aerowing was only a few minutes away from the nebula. Taking a highly evasive course, Alex attempted to use the superior manuevering and speed of the Osprey to get access to the vulnerable aft section of the Aerowing.
Trek tried to keep up with the Osprey, but the Aerowing was heavily damaged and the lag time between action and response was too great. After a minute or so, Alex saw an opening and opened fire. The phasers were weak, but still managed to punch through the remainder of the shielding over the phase coil and destroyed it. The Aerowing no longer had any propulsion and was adrift. Alex carefully verified that Trek's ship was out of commission, then used the Osprey's tractor beam to stop the ships progress to the nebula, which was only a few minutes away. Alex then extended the Osprey's docking clamps onto the Aerowing and joined the ships after extending the shields around both.
Moving quickly, Alex grabbed a phaser rifle, tricorder and boarded the other ship. The interior was a mess, and as he had thought, deserted.
Alex quickly over rode Trek's command lockout on the computer and then locked it back down again with his own access code. The Aerowing was useless, but depriving him of it's further use could have it's advantages. Alex then deactivated the pulse generator and decided to leave.
Alex climbed back into the Osprey, opened a channel to the Raven and said "Dixon to Raven. The Aerowing has been disabled and I have shut down the pulse generator. Which lifeboat is Trek on?" Alex noted that there was another lifeboat on its' way to the nebula between him and the Raven.
"You've shut it down?" Weill asked. "We're still reading him aboard every lifeboat." There was a pause. "He also just showed up on Deck 12, near Deflector Control."
Alex shook his head. "Captain, I find it unlikely that he's aboard ship, considering his tactics so far. I would recommend that you continue to gather up the lifeboats. I am going to intercept one right now."
"Roger, Commander. I agree, but we'll send a few security teams, just in case. Report in on the status of the lifeboat when you pick it up. Weill out." The channel closed.
Alex got the damaged Osprey moving into an intercept course with the approaching lifeboat.

Peter was rather confused. One moment DanTrek was heading towards the cargobay, the next he was in the flight deck. Peter was having a hard time trying to predict the Commanders movements.
Now the Commander was out in a Aerowing fighter. Heading towards the Catta Nebula. Peter was worried that the Commander would get away. The ship was going nowhere, fast. The warp core was off line and was currently being fixed. Just then an alarm sounded from his console.
"Sir, the Escape Pods are launching. Decks three to five. Remote access. The Commander's bio-signature is registering as being on all of them sir." Peter glanced at his commanding officer. "I am going to emmit an EM Dispersal feild around the ship, it should intefere with the directional sensors of the lifeboats, and we can guide them safely back to the ship." It took him a moment or two to get the right configuration, but by that time several of the lifeboats were out of the optimum range of the field.
He had to tap into the shield generators, and also take power from the impulse generators as the warp core was off line. "Sir, we will have minimal propulsion. But I believe I can also change the deflector to emmit a modified tachyon burst, that should disrupt the false readings to determine which pod he is in."
"Do it." Came the simple and brusque reply.
Peter set to work immediatley. It had only taken thirty seconds to set up, but that was still too late. Several pods were now out of range, set on several courses. "Initiating EM Dispersal feild and Tachyon burst now." The pods suddenly stopped wizzing around the ship, and Tactical was busy scanning for DanTreks bio signature. It turned out he was not on any of the pods.
Peter stood at his console, trying to get all the navigational systems on the lifeboats to return them to their original dockings. Then he looked at those which had got away. He noticed that the pods were all heading in relativley the same direction, barr one.

Now one of his false locations had been discredited, with the disabling of the Aerowing. He didn't mind however. That was just one out of 50 signals.
A few minutes later he detected a pulse. A tachyon burst and an EM dispersion. This erased the bio-signatures off of the 36 Life-boats and stopped them dead. But that still left 13 signals to chase: 12 Life-boats, and a false signature on the Raven.
Now they would have to come after the Life-boats left moving. They had not yet fixed his lock-up of the injectors, so they only had Impulse. But not for long.
DanTrek accessed the Raven's Power systems. He simulated an major overload in the Impulse reactors. This caused the Computer to respond by shutting up and locking down the Reactors, depriving her of Impulse.
He now turned to one of the Life-boats. Dixon had almost reached it. DanTrek recorded a message for him.
"Greetings, Commander Dixon. I set this message to automatically play-back when your comm badge was detected aboard. Excellent work disabling the Aerowing. But believe me, you wouldn't have suceeded if I had actually been aboard. As you can see, I am not aboard this Life-boat. I have been coordinating all of this from yet another Life-boat. Although I remind you, there are still 11 left, and all of them, including the one I'm occupying, are headed away from the Raven at Full Impulse. Good luck finding me. DanTrek out."
He sent the message to the Life-boat Dixon was after and set the play-back instructions.
