Amhil: I need to know what happened down there, Lt.
Nephi: Yes, Doctor.
Nephi left Sickbay and headed to Engineering. Joktel came up to him.
Joktel: How's Mele?
Nephi: Unconscious. When I found her she was having trouble breathing and her nose was bleeding. We need to figure out what happened to her. But we can't risk sending anyone else in there.
Joktel: How about the new mobile sensor pods? They have visual surveillance as well.
Nephi: Excellent idea. Beam one from its storage container to my station. We'll get it online and then beam it into the Tube.
After a few minutes, it was there.
Jason: Alright now, lets see what we got here.
They rolled it forward to the end of the tube. Jason visually inspected the conduit while Joktel checked sensor readings.
Joktel: Well, theres nothing coming from the EPS conduit that would cause it. Oh, hold on, theres radiation filling the tube....oh my. Nephi, its tau radiation.
Nephi: Tau? No wonder she had health problems.
Joktel: Its surprising you didn't either. The Patch seems to be filled with it, and the lack of shielding in that section is whats letting in the radiation it would appear.

Alex and Majeski were quietly conferring over the recent turn of events regarding the search for the Admiral's shuttle when the comm sounded. "Lt. Jacobsen to Bridge. We're having incidents of Tau radiation penetrating the ship where shielding is thin. This would include areas around Deck 14, Deck 12 and Deck 5 in the outer sections and the bridge. I would recommend that you evacuate to Main Engineering."
"Acknowledged, Mr. Jacobsen" the captain said. "Computer, radiation protocol." Immediately, the warning lights activated in their cool blue shade and the radiation warning started sounding quietly.
Alex looked around at the bridge crew. "Evacuate to main engineering immediately" he said, stood up and started moving to the turbolift. Majeski got to his feet as well, then sat back down heavily. Alex returned to his side. The captain's eyes were glassy and blood was slowly dripping out of his nose. Alex tapped his comm badge. "Dr. Amhil, the captain is suffering from radiation poisoining. I'm going to have him beamed to sickbay right now."
The doctor answered quickly. "Alright. I also have about a half dozen other crew members down here as well. Amhil out."
Alex looked over at the turbolift. The bridge crew were looking back at him, waiting. Angrily, Alex waved at them. "You have your orders. Get to main engineering and establish control of the ship from there. Lt. Zoarial, you're in command of the Raven till I get there." The doors to the turbolift closed and Alex started entering commands into his console. Majeski's body dematerialized.
Alex then turned to the main navigational console and started transferring control of the Raven to Main Engineering. He was still feeling pretty dizzy, but worked on

Slowly all the uneasing situations began to pile up, but since Zoarial had his orders he didn't bother for the problems at the moment and continued searching for any trail of the yacht. The ion trails were started to become a bit vague due to lots of debris sweeping them away, but Zoarial had been able to follow the trail easily. Suddenly a message was broadcasted through the general intercom:
Jacobson: We're having incidents of Tau radiation penetrating the ship.
Zoarial wasn't really paying a lot of attention to this message, since he felt fairly safe on the bridge, but then he heard an alarming phrase:
Jacobson: This would include areas around Deck 14, Deck 12 and Deck 5 in the outer sections and the bridge I would recommend that you evacuate to Main Engineering.
Zoarial linked up his slight dizzyness with this notification and was about to start to panick. He was unable to think up with what to do and before he had even been able to begin to make a decision, Dixon already barked orders over what seemed the entire ship.
Alex: Get to main engineering and establish control of the ship from there. Lt. Zoarial, you're in command of the Raven till I get there.
Now that was made clear what to do, Zoarial hoisted himself from his chair and pushed his crew towards the bridge doors. He took a swift glance over his shoulder, and when he was entirely sure nobody was left on the bridge he rushed towards a turbolift. Zoarial was about to round a corner when someone tripped and didn't make any trouble getting up again. As if automatically, Zoarial threw the guy over his shoulder and continued towards the lift. Luckily there wasn't much staff on the flight deck and the lift wasn't entirely crammed. But Zoarial felt very uneasy when he had to get into the lift. The man over his shoulder began to cough and this brought Zoarial back to his senses, so he stepped into the turbolift and took the man off his shoulder and put him on his feet again and luckily he was able to stand on his own.
Zoarial made a quick check and saw to his relief that the man didn't have a nosebleed: Do you feel any form of dizzyness?
Man: No sir, I just tripped, I feel quite... okay... I guess.
Zoarial: If you don't have important business to attend, report to sickbay anyway, and that's an order. They will have their hands full at the present, but I can't be too carefull.
Man: Yes sir.
The mainstream of crewmembers was thickening as Zoarial came closer to main engineering, and Zoarial was surprised that the Raven had this many people on board. It seemed though that the whole crew had disapeared when he entered main engineering, because Zoarial didn't have a clue how big it actually was.
Zoarial: Lt Jacobson, I need a console from which I can steer the ship, with viewscreens to monitor intruments and outside situation. Which console do you find suitable?
<<nephi>>
Zoarial walked to the assigned console and agreed it was the best solution for a crisis situation like this, he seated and turned his chair towards the screens.
Zoarial: Computer, link the Raven's steering system to this console, I want all data from the instruments directly linked to the viewscreens on my sides.
Zoarial stood up again and brought a general message to the crew.
Zoarial: Listen up everybody. Commander Majeski and Commander Dixon are at the moment solving this minor incident, we're gathered here to reestablish the control of the Raven. I know that the surroundings aren't what you're used to, but this will only be a temporary solution. Lt Collaan, keep monitoring for any clues to the whereabouts of the admiral's yacht. We are going to keep the flight going as smoothely as possible.

Joktel: Nephi, I just got word from the Bridge. They're making Engineering the Command Center.
Nephi: Yeah, I figured they'd do that. We'd better give them a place to work. We'll make my Duty Station a make-shift Bridge.
Joktel: So where are you going to work?
Nephi: Oh that's easy. I'm taking over your Duty Station.
Joktel: I thought so.
Nephi and Joktel went over and started modifying consoles in the Chief Engineer's Station. Soon, there were consoles for Navigation, Science, Tactical, and Command.
Moments later, Lt Zoarial came into Engineering and towards him.
Nephi: Way ahead of you, sir. I've already modified my Station to serve as a make-shift Bridge. Navigation is right here.
Nephi then went over to his Duty Station.
Nephi: Now we figure out how the radiation compromised the EPS system.
Joktel: Well, I don't think it compromised it. Sensors show a minor fluctuation in the containment field in that section. The radiation just amplified it.
Joktel: Certainly not what we're used to. We've gone from the usual staff of twelve to almost thirty.
Nephi: We'll just have to get used to it.

(OOC)
Hi everyone. I happened to get access to a computer and thought that I would stick my nose in
(IC)
"Computer, transfer bridge functions to Engineering. Authorization code, Dixon Alpha 4 7 Blue 19 Enable" Alex said. He didn't want to look down at the surface of the console as it was covered with blood that was slowly leaking out of his nose.
"Transfer complete. Bridge functions now transferred to Main Engineering."
To Alex, the bridge seemed to be spinning slowly counter clockwise, and he could barely keep track of where the door to the turbolift was. He didn't think that he would be able to make it there, so he tapped his comm badge. "Dixon to Transporter Room 1. Beam me directly to Sick Bay."
"Aye sir" came the hurried reply. A transporter field appeared around Alex, sputtered briefly, then disappeared. "Sorry sir" the transporter tech's voice filled Alex's ears "the radiation is making it impossible for the transporter to form it's confinement beam."
Gritting his teeth, Commander Dixon staggered towards the stairs that would get him to the turbolift door. He made the first stair, but tripped on the second and he tumbled to the floor. Alex put his hands out and dragged himself over the floor, leaving droplets of blood on the deck as he pulled himself across. He reached the door actuator and the turbolift slid smoothly open. Alex pulled himself in.
AS he entered the turbolift, he heard a loud beeping sound from the Tactical Station. It was a proximity alert. There was another ship nearby.
Looking up at the turbolift interface, Alex muttered "Sickbay".

The sickbay doors had opened and closed more often than Amhil dared to count. She looked up when they opened again and new patients filled in. There weren't enough biobeds to handle those who had just come in, but luckily not all patients were as badly effected as others. Just after Amhil had been told that it had been radiation that had caused the strange illness Mele had, she had also been told that there were various places on the ship open to the radiation. This made her summon all sickbay personnel because she had expected lots of patients. She had been right.
A few minutes before there had been about half a dozen, but since the captain had been transported directly to sickbay, there had been more people coming in. There were now more than a dozen officers inside. Mele had still been the most effected till now. But Amhil had had the time to stabilize her condition before the situation had gone out of hand.
Brooks, one of her staff, called out to her. Amhil turned quickly, annoyed to be kept from her work.
"What?" She snapped, but the Ensign didn't seem to mind. He knew that the situation was particularly stress-full.
"Commander Dixon just called for a medical transport for himself, but they couldn't get a lock on him because of the radiation." He said.
"What? Where is he?" She immediately asked, Brooks looked uncomfortable.
"The bridge." He answered and Amhil's eyes widened.
"Did anyone go and get him? You can't leave him up there, he'll die!" She exclaimed. She already knew the answer before Brooks shook his head. She turned to grab a first aid-kid and made her way to the sickbay doors, leaving the ensign behind. She swiftly made her way through the corridor towards the turbolift, which wasn't that far away.
She thought that she had to go back up the bridge to get Alex, because if he had called for a medical transport he would have known that he could not reach Sickbay on his own. Strangely enough, when Amhil reached the turbolift, the doors already opened. She gasped when she found Alex lying on the ground, blood all over him and the floor. He was barely conscious. The relief Amhil felt was quickly replaced by worry. Even Mele hadn't looked this way when they found her. She didn't lose any time and tapped her commbadge.
=/\="Eddons to transporter room 1. Beam commander Dixon directly to sickbay!"=/\= Now that he was away from the bridge, they would have no trouble transporting him. And though sickbay was really close, Amhil didn't think it was the wisest idea to drag a near-dead starfleet officer along the corridor...

Luckily Zoarial was used to working in a busy environment. People were rushing in and out of main engineering and while doing that magically incapable of interrupting with the officers. It seemed that though almost everyone made it to the deck immideately, some were still showing some signs of exposure to the radiation. People were feeling dizzy and were bleeding out of their noses, and in the worst case Zoarial had seen up to now, even out of an ear. At a certain moment the number of staff had almost become critical, if more officers would become affected, it would be almost impossible to run the ship. But they seemed to hold, for now.
Suddenly a warning signal came from the CNO's console. A red bulb indicated a ship nearby.
Zoarial: Computer, give heading of the object and put the object on main screen.
Computer: the object is floating still at bearing 030.10
Zoarial: It seems that we have a ship floating at 11 o' clock, but a large chunk of spacejunk is blocking our view. Computer, check ship for lifesigns, if negative, check for movement.
Computer: Lifesigns, negative, movement, negative.
Slowly and carefully Zoarial let the Raven round the debris and found to his amazement a ship, almost stripped to the bone.
Collaan: Lt Zoarial, with your permission sir, part of the ion trail seems to stop near the location of this... skeleton.
Zoarial: Thank you Ms Collaan. Computer, check the materials where this carcass is made of and compare with the materials used for the construction of the admiral's yacht.
Computer: The materials of the carcass bare a very close resemblance to the materials used for the yacht, though I can't identify them correctly because they are very weary. Resemblance in percent, 70.
Zoarial wanted to be sure, 70 percent wasn't enough to completely assume that this ship was in fact the yacht.
Zoarial: Compare size and form with the admiral's yacht/
Computer: Positive, resemblance in percent, 90.
Now that is was sure that this was the yacht, Zoarial knew he had to make a move, quick, he had to try to gather as much information as possible, and he thankfully used his position as acting CO.
Zoarial: Mr Black, link up with the computer core of the yacht, if it's left somewhere inside, I want every single bit of information you can get.
<< Mathew>>
Zoarial: Lt. Collaan, check for other ships nearby, if there seem to be none, check the ion trail to see if it leads us somewhere new. Lt JG Jacobson, try to keep the engines running as good as possible, I want to leave when required.
Zoarial then gestured towards Nephi that he wanted to talk to him in private. The engineer quickly approached him, and Zoarial lowered his voice.
Zoarial: In this kind of situation I prefer to have a little ace up my sleeve. If you feel that you can make a good suggestion, please do so, let's say that while Commanders Majeski and Dixon are away, we have to run the ship, thus I appoint you as acting FO, if I have the permission. I don't force you to take the position, but now... any help is appreciated. Understood?
Nephi nodded.
Zoarial smiled: Ok, dismissed
Zoarial sat down in his chair and wanted to give his head a rest, but allready some information started to arrive to him.
Collaan: Lt Zoarial, it seems that part of the ion trail is going away from this point, bearing 240.35 but I fear that it will become very vague very soon.
Zoarial: Thank you, please scan further for any other information about the other ship.
The klingon acting CO knew that he needed as much help as he could, but the crew in main engineering still seemed to thin out.
Zoarial: =/\=Zoarial to Amhil, I can't have more and more people leaving. Please tell me that you have a cure for the influence of the radiation. No wait... I shouldn't expect that from you. But I would appreciate it to have some medicines here to surpress the symptoms, I need all the officers I can have here!=/\=

Nephi returned to his Duty Station. Paria had also entered Engineering and joined them at his Station in the past few minutes.
Nephi: People are almost dropping like flies around here. And unfortunately, the radiation will continue to penetrate deeper into the ship. My estimates show that we have only a few hours before the radiation begins to affect Engineering. We've got to get some kind of radation shielding around Main Engineering, and the Warp Core.
Paria: Any way to install some kind of multi-phasic shielding within the ship?
Joktel: We could adjust force-field emitters to provide something similar. But it would take extensive modification.
Nephi: The priority is the Warp Core. If its affected like the EPS system, we could be stopped dead.

Mess Hall
Black was in the mess hall when all the commotion started. He was hearing reports of this happening their and that happening here but wasnt really getting fully coherant accounts of anything.
He decided that he would go down to engineering, to see what was happening down their, he had heard a rumour that the captain was unwell and the Cmdr Zoarial was in charge, and well logically it seemed to be the hub of activity so naturally where Mathew should be.
Engineering
Mat had only just entered engineering and taking a split second look towards the door Zoarial, almost barked an order at Black, but you could tell he was just doing his job and getting things in order.
Zoarial: Mr Black, link up with the computer core of the yacht, if it's left somewhere inside, I want every single bit of information you can get.
"Yes, Sir" he hadnt forgotten the protocal of talking to an officer, even if he was no longer one.
"You do realise you may literally only get a 'bit' of information. Black didnt realise after he had said it of funny it actually sounded. It made everyone smile inside, but the moment passed and everyone carried on with their respective jobs.
Mathew started work at his task in hand he knew it wasnt going to be easy, getting a link up at all would be a miricle let alone actually managing to get some data off it. He did contemplate beaming it aboard but decided that was to risky, as it might be contaminated with well anything... and he wastn gonna be held responsbile for the dis-appearance of the Raven.
Many hours had passed and he had finally managed to get a link-up it was very weak and unstable and would take a good while to get any data off the computer core on the carcass, he had managed so far to get about .5% of the carcasses data downloaded.
"Sir, I may need a few probes, well lets say about 5" Black said
"Why?"
"Well I was hoping to configure them to act as buffer-relay stations.. as our main link with the ship is well not good if I set the probes to act as relays to download data at a faster rate as they will be closer to the ship and will get a stronger link, we can then link to the probes and hopefully download the data alot quicker." Black said hoping he sounded convincing.
After working so long he had a slight headache and decided to make his way to sickbay, just to get it checked out. But as he got closer to sickbay he realised things were a little worse than he had heard.
Sickbay
"Doc is their anything I can do?" Mathew asked he was trained in many forms of medicine just rarely used his expertise.
<Amhil>
"But first I just need 10cc of Paratrypiline for my head. If you would just say yes I'll get it myself and then attend to anything else you wish...."
OOC:
Sorry I havent posted for a while.. am hoping to get back into the flow ASAP stories going great....!!

Alex's eyes fluttered open. Immediately, he wished they hadn't, as the room was still spinning. He closed them again and the dizzyness passed a little. Alex carefully opened his eyes again and the room remained fairly steady. He was lying on a biobed in sickbay. Looking up, he could see one of Amhil's assistants standing over him. Stretching his memory, Alex came up with the name Brooks. The orderly looked over his shoulder and said "Doctor..."
Brooks left his field of vision, and he heard Amhil's voice say "10 cc's of hironolyn." Amhil came into his field of vision, a hypospray in her hands. Professionally, she put it to his neck and activated it. Alex heard the hiss, and he could feel a wave of cold spread over his body, but he started feeling a bit better. "How am I doing, Doctor?" he said.
<Amhil>
Alex sighed at the news and looked around sickbay. The room was packed with other casualties, and he could see Majeski was taking up one of the other biobeds. Alex could also see that the ship was at yellow alert. Vaguely, he remembered that as he had been dragging himself off of the bridge that there had been a proximity alert, and he knew that he had to get to Engineering to find out what was going on.
Putting his hands on the biobed, Alex began to push himself up. Brooks stepped forward to restrain him, but Amhil shook her head and crossed her arms as she watched the First Officer try to get up.
Alex managed to get his head about 4 inches off of the pillow before the dizzyness took hold again and he collapsed back to the biobed.
Smiling grimly, the doctor stepped forward and said <Amhil>
Alex wanted to leave Sickbay, but knew she was right. As he was lying there, the doors slid open and another crew member staggered in. A medical tech rushed over to help her. Dixon looked up at Amhil and said "Have you had any progress in figuring out some way to help the crew fight the effects of the radiation?"

Mathew: Sir, I may need a few probes, well lets say about 5
Zoarial frowned: Why?
Mathew: Well I was hoping to configure them to act as buffer-relay stations.. as our main link with the ship is well not good if I set the probes to act as relays to download data at a faster rate as they will be closer to the ship and will get a stronger link, we can then link to the probes and hopefully download the data alot quicker.
Zoarial realised that he was a little demanding towards Mathew, 'all the information' had a very wide meaning, and a lot of the information could be thrown away instantly, for example: what a random ensign on the bridge ordered at a replicator wouldn't lead to anything.
Zoarial: Ok, specialize to information about transport in and out of the yacht, scanner images, use of weapons and adjustments to computersystems from the outside, otherwise known as hacking. Is ths possible?
There was no reply, and when Zoarial turned around he saw that Mathew wasn't present on the bridge any longer. Zoarial was a little bit angry that the civilian hadn't asked permission to leave.
Zoarial: Computer, locate civilian Mathew Black
Computer: Civilian Mathew J Black located in sickbay.
Zoarial couldn't blame the man. And when the klingon was thinking to whom he would have to readress the orders, Lt Collaan reported.
Collaan: I'm sorry sir, it seems that I can't pick up any other information about the whereabouts of the admiral or the other ship.
Zoarial: At the moment this is not a problem, we will not be needing any information about this now. You can cease this investigation, because I have some new orders for you.
Zoarial explained what he had wanted from Mathew, and Lt Collaan continued Mathew's work. Zoarial sat back and wished that he could relax for a moment, but with the current number of staff present, he just couldn't permit it. Zoarial wished that Amhil would come up with a solution, preferrably very quickly.
Zoarial: Mr Jacobson, I hope that you have positive news about the shielding of engineering and the effects of the radiation to the warp core?

It took some time and a little arguing with the Computer to get the force-field emitters to be able create a multi-phasic field around the Warp Core.
Joktel: Nephi, I think we're ready to try the multiphasic field.
Nephi: Good. Lets get it online.
Joktel: And Paria and a team are working creating a field to cover the entire section.
Nephi: Indeed we do, sir. You're right on time. Computer, activate the multi-phasic field.
A force-field went up around the Warp Core.
Nephi: That will protect the Warp Core from the radiation. Lt Paria is working on establishing one around this entire section, but its taking time. We're not used to creating such a field through the walls of the ship itself. We should have it ready in less than an hour.

Alex lay on the biobed and stared at the ceiling, trying to overcome the effects of the radiation that was penetrating the ship. He knew that Sickbay was one of the best protected areas of the ship, and that everyone here was pretty much as safe as they could be right now.
Suddenly, the lights, which had been flickering slightly for some reason became steady and regular again. Just after that, the raspy Klingon voice of Zoarial could be heard over the comm system. "This is Commander Zoarial. We have managed to protect the main reactor with a multi-phasic field, and are trying to extend that protection to the rest of the ship. Maintain your posts. Zoarial out."
Alex closed his eyes again. The ship seemed to be in good hands for now with Zoarial and Jacobsen. He just wished that he could get out of sickbay. He looked up at the sound of footsteps heading his way and saw the Doctor standing over him with a hypospray.

Amhil could use some help in sickbay, so when Mathew came in she had been grateful with the new pair of hands. The place was in one word; crowded, and it didn't help the situation for the doctor while she tried to find a cure for the radiation sickness. Of course it wouldn't be that hard, she had been trying to alter other radiation cures to help their current situation, but the problem was of course the time they had left. How strange it might sound, Amhil worked better under stress, and it showed right now. One of her personnel had pointed out that one of the other cures to normal radiation seemed to attack the tau radiation particles. Amhil hoped that it would delay the effects of the radiation from those that hadn't been effected yet. When Zoarial's voice came over the comm, she was startled from her work.
=/\=Zoarial to Amhil, I can't have more and more people leaving. Please tell me that you have a cure for the influence of the radiation. No wait... I shouldn't expect that from you. But I would appreciate it to have some medicines here to suppress the symptoms, I need all the officers I can have here!=/\=
She quickly tapped her comm. badge. =/\="I can tell you that I am working on a cure, and I think I'm close to a solution. At the moment we have found some light medicines that will hopefully delay the effects of the radiation for some time. I'll send one of my personnel to get it to you all. I'll inform you when I have more news. Amhil out."=/\= She cut the channel and turned towards the closest of her staff, which happened to be Meidre.
"Aster, I need your help." She called out. Meidre turned towards her and look questioningly.
"What is it?" She asked, seemingly concerned that maybe a problem had showed up. Amhil grabbed the last of the hypo's, filled with the light medicines and put them in the kit. She gave it to Aster.
"I need you to go up to engineering and inject those not yet severally effected by the radiation. Hopefully it will help the lot go on for another couple of hours." She said. Meidre nodded and left, leaving behind a slightly worried doctor.
Though they might had beginning here and the crew in engineering might be able to generate a field around the other parts of the ship, time still wasn't on their side. Those that were already effected and in Sickbay were going from bad to worse because their cells were decaying rapidly. Even if they were to find the solution right now, they had to make enough of the medicine for at least a quarter of the crew. A time consuming task. Maybe it came too late for some.
While thinking, Amhil had gotten back to her work and it was only a few minutes later she saw the beginning of a desired outcome on the screen. She blinked and smiled slightly. If it was true, the medicine would now nearly destroy all the radiation particles in the bloodstream of a patient. A few things to change here and there, but it was as good as finished. A few moments later of sorting out the flaws, Amhil filled a hypospray with the new manufactured medicine. She grabbed the cool metal of the spray, and walked towards the one who she guessed would need it most. He had been the most persistent of getting out of sickbay, and who knows, he might really get out in the very near future. Given if it actually worked.
Alex' eyes fluttered open when he heard the doctor approach. She looked down and nodded at him.
"I might have your ticket out of here in my hands right now." She said, before injecting him with the hypospray. It was also kind of a test, to see if the 'cure' really was a cure. But Amhil didn't tell him that. Alex closed his eyes again, welcoming the soft sensation of drowsiness that came with the injection. For a moment they both waited for some kind of sign. Then, Amhil grinned as she watched in fascination when his biosigns slowly but surely began to stabilize. It actually worked!
She left the commander and grabbed a hold of all those who could help.
"Mathew! Brooks!" They both turned their heads towards the doctor. She motioned them to come over, and quickly told them about the solution.
"Now, time is not our side. We need to get a lot of the medicine done in a really short time. I don't know if we'll make it. So please help me and get to work right now!"

Zoarial sighed from relief after he heard the good news from both the engineer as the CMO. It seemed that if everything was going okay, they would be able to return to the bridge shortly, but Zoarial didn't want to unecesarily excite everyone, so he announced only that the shield was online. After the short message, everyone present at engineering cheered and rejoiced because of the good news. But Zoarial felt that he had to remain on the safe side, and he announced that everyone should remain at their posts in engineering untill the whole ship was shielded, or if someone from sickbay came with a cure. Without fear of being affected by the radiation, Zoarial turned back to the viewscreen. Lt Collaan hadn't been able to retrieve much more information and Zoarial felt uncomfortable to have the Raven stay on the same spot this long in a place such as the briar patch. He knew that series of tests had proven that no other ship was nearby, but up till now Zoarial hadn't thought of cloked ships. He immideately came in to action and ordered a parametric subspace field stress scan.
Computer: Negative, scan is not inacurate with this surroundings, a cloaked ship can at the moment only be detected if it's moving. Conclusion: At the moment there is no moving cloaked ship nearby.
Zoarial: Ok, Lt Collaan, please keep the PSFS scan online and inform me when there is any difference. While waiting you can try to get some more info from the carcass. I hope that you heard Mr. Black's idea of using probes?
Collaan nodded.
Zoarial: Lt Jacobson, do I have your permission to use 5 Class I Sensor Probe for this goal?
<<nephi>>
Zoarial: Fine, Lt Collaan, you know what to do.
Suddenly someone entered engineering with a trolley and a couple of dozens of hyposprays. She walked directly to Zoarial, who at once felt at ease because he knew that a solution was nearby.
Meidre: Reporting from sickbay sir! Lt Amhil has sent me with a medicine that should prevent the unaffected crew from getting affected from the radiation.
Zoarial could barely hold himself from hugging this good-news bringer: That's the best news I have heard in some time! I notice that you might not have enough hyposprays, so I request that you inject the engineering section first and the other part of the crew later.
Meidre: Yes sir.
Zoarial looked around satisfied as he saw that the whole crew visibly regained their strenght, some people even helped injecting the hypospray and after a short period of time they had worked around allmost all of the crew. Though Meidre returned to Zoarial, he could see that she felt a little uneased.
Meidre: I don't know how this can happen, but we seem to have 5 hyposprays left for 4 officers.
Zoarial: I seem not to have been affected by the radiation, while present on the bridge. I'm built out of a strong race, it seems that I am imume to the effects, I will be able to survive in this shielded area as well, won't I? Uou can use the hypospray on the other officers.
Meidre: Are you sure that is such a good....
Zoarial interupted: That is an order!
Meidre turned and walked away. When Zoarial was sure that noone was looking, he quickly wiped away a small drip of darkcoloured blood that came out of his nose and quickly sat down to prevent falling over.

After about an hour, Alex was finally feeling good enough to consider standing up. Brooks helped him as he slowly got to his feet. The room was still a little spinny, but Dixon felt a lot better than he did a few hours ago.
Alex looked around and saw that Dr. Amhil was standing over the biobed upon which Majeski was lying, frowning at a medical tricorder. Alex walked over and walked over. "Is he alright?"
Amhil looked up, startled. "I'm not sure what the problem is. Majeski isn't responding as well the the radiation serum as everyone else is. He's elvish. There must be something in his physiology that's impeding his recovery."
Alex sighed. "Alright Doctor. Keep me posted." He turned and headed for the door.
The doctor looked up and yelled "Alex, take it easy! I doubt that you're..." as the door closed, cutting off the last of the sentence.
Cmdr. Dixon strode to the nearest turbolift. The door swished open and he stepped aboard and said "Engineering". The doors closed and the turbolift seemed to lurch downward. Alex had to catch himself against the bulkhead as the dizzyness suddenly overtook him again. Shaking his head, the cobwebs cleared out as the doors opened. Straightening his uniform, Alex stepped back out and walked into Engineering.
Alex was expecting to see the remainder of the crew setting a frantic pace trying to get the Raven up and running again. Instead, all he saw was the majority of the crew huddled in a small circle near the main Engineering console.
Dixon strode over and started moving people out of his way. In the middle of the circle, Commander Zoarial was lying in a pool of Klingon blood on the floor with Lt. Jacobsen beside him with a medical tricorder.
"What happened?" Alex asked.
<Nephi>
"All right. We need to get him to sickbay and I doubt the transporters are working." Alex pointed at two of the crew standing around. "You and you. You're on stretcher detail. Get one out of the medical locker and get him to sickbay. Then get right back here." The two crewmen turned and walked toward the locker.
Alex addressed the rest of the crew that were standing there. "You've all done an excellent job so far, but the Raven still needs you to do your duties, as does the Admiral we're looking for. Please return to your posts and assist in getting the Raven up and running again. Then we can find the Admiral and get out of the Briar Patch."
The group broke up and returned to their duties. Alex turned to Nephi and said "Lt. Jacobsen, give me a fast report on the Raven's status, please."

Meidre approached Nephi, holding a hypospray.
Meidre: Sir? Radiation innoculation.
Nephi: Has everyone else in this room had one?
Meidre: Yes, sir. With the exception of Cmdr Zoarial. He ordered the Engineering staff innoculated first.
She pressed it to his neck before he could protest. Paria approached.
Paria: Nephi? We've got the shield online around Engineering. No progress yet on a ship-wide shield.
Nephi: Alright, start working on other vital areas. The Bridge, Sickbay, Astrometrics. We aren't affected now, but the equipment is still vulnerable.
Paria: Aye, sir.
A moments later, he looked over at Zoarial, he was leaning on a console. Nephi started towards him.
Nephi: Commander, are you al-
As he asked, Zoarial collapsed onto the deck. Nephi went across the room to get a medical tricorder from the medical locker. People had begun to gather around Zoarial. Nephi had to push his way through.
Nephi: Out of the way, out of the way. Everyone back up.
As he began scanning him, the crowd was moved aside once more. Commander Dixon pushed his way through.
Nephi: Radiation sickness. He had ordered Engineering staff innoculated ahead of himself. I should have put up more of a protest with the Nurse. He's been on the Bridge, I've been in Engineering. He needed it more than I.
Nephi: All systems normal, for now. We've got a multi-phasic radiation shield around the Core, and another around all of Engineering. We're working on establishing them on the Bridge, in Sickbay, and Astrometrics. The crew is no longer vulnerable, but the equipment still is. We won't be completely safe until we're out of the Briar Patch, as I can't implement the shield on a ship-wide basis. I suggest we complete our task here and get out of here as soon as possible.

Zoarial stood besides his biobed and walked to the bridge. He didn't feel bad at all as he took the turbolift up. He was rethinking what had happened before, but was only able to remember a big black gap from the moment he had ordered how the hyposprays should be divided. While he stood in the turbolift he tried to start a conversation with a couple of ensigns who were also present in the lift, but when he asked how the current status of the radiationshield was, no reply came.
It seemed like forever but then the turbolift doors opened and Zoarial stepped outside. He took a quick glance at a sign on the wall and saw that he was on the quartersdeck. Zoarial felt stupid that he got out on the wrong deck, but took the oppertunity to do a little exercise and went to his quarter. After 200 easy pushups he realised that they might be needing him on the bridge so he walked to the door, but it didn't slide open as usual
Zoarial: Computer, open this door
No reply, the door remained shut.
Feeling a little uneased, the klingon tried the door with his bare hands, but it didn't move a single inch. He began to walk circles in the room, and suddenly the walls started to close in on him. He ran to the window and saw it barred up. With great effort he removed the bars and climbed out of the window. There he was again, standing in the corridor. Zoarial moved to the nearest turbolift and clearly instructed the computer to which deck he wanted to go. A second later the doors opened again and to his relief Zoarial noticed that he was on the flight deck. He walked to the bridge and the doors opened for him. He took one step inside and then he heard a voice.
Voice: Zorly?
Zoarial immideately reckognized this voice as his mother Edith's, since she was the only one that called him by this name. Smiling, he turned around, to see his parents, a phaser pointed at his chest.
Edith: I'm sorry Zorly, but this is for your own good.
Zoarial laughed and turned around, while the bridgedoors closed he heard a phaser firing and immideately felt a throbbing pain all over his body.
At the same time, Zoarial woke up. He opened his eyes and saw everything in a blur. He wasn't able to focus as he was too preocupied with the massive pain he felt all over his body, as if everything inside him was rapidly shrinking and then suddenly expanding very quickly. Zoarial heard a distant voice, he could't tell who was this person, he wasn't even able to think.
<<amhil>>
Zoarial didn't stay conscious long enough to hear the end of the blur, he felt slipping away again, tumbling back into the darkness of his youth.

Nathan was piloting a new Renaisance Runabout from Starfleet to the Raven. He had been taken to near the Briar Patch by the U.S.S. Jenoks, however Nathan had said he could make it the rest of the way.
He smiled, he was slowly getting used to the uniform again and moving his hands over a Starfleet interface was good.
He had heard that the Raven had not had a CTSO since he left, just officers filling in before a more permament posting. That would make things easier like he wasnt filling anyone's shoes.
He opened up a comm channel.
"This is the Runabout Afreture. Acting Ensign Nathan Haper to Raven. Come in Raven."
He awiated their response.

Having received the report from Lt. Jacobsen, Alex walked over to where Lt. Collaan was sitting, studying sensor readouts. She looked up as he approached. "Nice to see you up and about again sir" she said, but Alex noticed that she glanced several times at the front of his uniform. Alex knew it was dotted with droplets of blood. He hadn't had time to change.
"Thank you Collaan. It's nice to be back. What can you tell me about the ship that we encountered?" he asked.
The Bajoran science officer glanced down at the readouts. "Well, it about 90% probable that it's the Admiral's shuttle. However, our scans indicate that life support is offline, along with the warp and impulse engines. There are no active systems aboard, and no organic matter. It seems that the Admiral and his crew aren't aboard, alive or dead" she concluded.
Alex leaned over the console and ran a mass analysis protocol. "Hmm, it seems the mass of the ship is about 50% below what it is rated for. Do you have an explanation for that, lieutenant?"
Collaan looked down at her console unhappily. She hadn't thought to run a mass analysis. "No sir, I don't." The lieutenant quickly pulled up the last maintenance log of the Admiral's shuttle and scanned through it. "The mass of the shuttle when it left Starbase 172 was exactly what it should have been."
Alex took a closer look at the sensor readouts. There was no debris field around the shuttle, and the hull was intact. So the loss of mass would have to be inside the ship. "I'd say that she's been stripped for materials. This other ion trail intersects the shuttles. The other ship attacks, disables the shuttle, strips it of anything useful and takes the Admiral. What course is that ion trail following?"
"240.35" Collaan said.
Alex nodded at David Vegas, who had taken over for Zoarial. "Set that course and make our speed 1/3 impulse." The young starfleet officer started entering commands into his console, but he was interrupted by a the beep of the ships communication system. They were being hailed. Alex opened a channel, but was greeted by a burst of static. Alex worked the controls to clean up the transmission, and was rewarded with the sound of voice he recognized.
"This is the Runabout Afreture. Acting Ensign Nathan Haper to Raven. Come in Raven."
"This is Raven, go ahead Ensign Harper" Alex replied.
<Nathan>
"That would be excellent Nathan. Be advised that this area of the patch is contaminated with tau radiation. Set up a multi-phasic shield around the shuttle and that will keep you safe till you can reach us" Alex said.
<Nathan>
"Good, Raven out." Alex knew his next priority was to help get the ship working as well as possible again. Turning, he walked over to Lt. Jacobsen, who was lying on the deck underneath the main engineering console, using what looked like a sequencer. Alex leaned down and said "Anything I can do to help?"

Nephi: Well, at the moment, I'm trying to stabilize the power matrix to the field emitters. The multi-phasic shielding inside the ship takes energy with a different phase variance than that of normal force-fields, and the system is having trouble keeping itself in balance.
He got out from under the console and stood.
Nephi: I would recommend we divert off our search for the time being and go and meet Ensign Harper's shuttle. I have not been able to establish a multi-phasic shield around the Raven, and Harper will not have the knowledge or expertise needed to do so for his shuttle.
<Alex>
Nephi: And as far as what you can do, yes there is something. Due to the unstable nature of the multi-phasic field emitters, there are phase variances in each one. We need to manually adjust that individually. I could use your help in that. We can do it from this work station.

"This is the Runabout Afreture. Acting Ensign Nathan Haper to Raven. Come in Raven."
"This is Raven, go ahead Ensign Harper" Alex replied.
"I am returning to Active Duty Commander." Nathan said, recognising Commander Dixon's voice. "I have been assigned to the Raven again. I am close to your location. Requsting permission to come aboard."
"That would be excellent Nathan. Be advised that this area of the patch is contaminated with tau radiation. Set up a multi-phasic shield around the shuttle and that will keep you safe till you can reach us" Alex said.
"Thank you Sir. I will make sure that the sheild is in place before I enter the patch Sir. I will be at your location in 15 minutes."
"Good, Raven out."
The comm went dead and Nathan activated the multi-phasic shield. With that in place he piloted the vessel into the patch.
After 10 minutes the Raven appeared on screen. That was when it hit him - he had missed the Raven.
As the Ravens shuttlebay opened to accept the new runabout Nathan handed over control to the tractor beam.
He was home.

Acting in accordance with Lt. Jacobsen's recommendation, Alex quickly ordered the Raven to swing around and rendezvous with Nathan's shuttle. Once it was aboard, Dixon tapped his communicator. "Dixon to Ensign Harper."
"Yes sir" he replied.
"It's nice to have you back aboard. Report to Dr. Amhil in Sickbay. You'll need a fast checkup and injection. Once you've got them, report to Engineering." the first officer said.
<Nathan>
The Raven returned to following the new ion trail through the Briar Patch, while work went on in Engineering. Alex studied the layout of the multi-phasic field emitters along the with chief engineer. After a few moments, Nephi said "I would recommend that we start with the generators around the bridge. You could work on the series around the Astrophysics lab, Commander." Alex nodded and bent to his task.

"Understood Sir. Harper out."
Nathan shut down the runabout and stepped into the shuttlebay. He lifted his bags from inside and headed out. He headed for the turbolift he vaguely remebered at the end of the corrider.
It was going to take some getting used to again.
He entered the turbolift and headed to Sickbay. He wanted to get innoculated as soon as possible before he returned to duty. He did not like the sound of this radiation.
He decided he better check up with the previous ACTSO to find out what was happining.
"Computer who was in charge of Tactical and Security before my arrival?"
=^= Lt. Jg. James Masteras =^=
The computer sounded.
"Ensign Harper to Lt. Masteras, please meet me in Engineering at 1300 hours for a full briefing."
=^= Aknowledged. Masteras out =^=

Zoarial found his head pounding as he once again tried to raise it. Somehow he still wasn't able to focus on both vision as thought, but he felt a weird sense of duty coming over him, so he pressed his commbadge to ask the attending CNO Vegas for a status report. At least, that was what Zoarial intended to do: while he swung his arm from the biobed to his chest, he accidentally knocked over a glass of water, thus wetting his sheats. Zoarial became angry about his lack of coordination, but this emotion cost him so much energy that he immideately fell back in a deep slumber. Again he was in his quarters and tried to escape through the window while the walls were closing in on him, again he was shot while he stepped into the bridge and the bridgedoors closed, but this time he didn't wake up with a throbbing pain, but he was suddenly floating in mid-air, looking at himself, lying there on the ground, as if he wasn't himself, as if his mind had left his body. He saw his parents step over his body and shoot the CO, and shortly after that a small insect like creature came out of their mouth. He saw his parents fall liveless to the ground, while the insects crawled into the mouth of the unconsious CO.Frightened by what this vision could mean, Zoarial found himself awake, covered with sweat. He vaguely noticed that other people were also alerted by his active dream, and when he slowly got a grip on himself and made clear to himself that he was out of this horrible nightmare, he knew that the dream was something that simply couldn't happen. A person suddenly blocked the light that had been shining so brightly in his eyes, Zoarial felt that this should be the CMO, because in his current state of mind this could be the only person present on sickbay. Zoarial: Doctor, what's wrong with me?He had in fact directed the question to the civilian Black. <<mathew>> OOC: for everyone that reads this post, Zoarials dreams are at the moment related to something happened to him in the past (for more information you should read his bio). That should make these posts make more sense
