Weill felt that there was an aura of annoyance among his staff, he was not pleased. He moved the meal along everyone ate, talked and enquired, the meal was very nice but Weill wanted to get it over and done with, at least on his size as he was feeling uncomfortable. At the end of the meal the senior staff and the Admiral walked back to the Lounge and there were drinks and quiet music on.
Weill: " Admiral, i am going to have to go, Gentleman and Doctor, i would like to see you all in my ready room at 09.00 tommorow morning....... understood"
Hunter: " Evening Captain, i think i will turn in to"
The officers all mumbled yes, and than the Admiral got up as did Weill and they walked out of the room, Weill was hoping to drop the Admiral off at his quarters, in some ways to make sure he got there. As they walked down the corridors they talked.
Hunter: "A good crew"
Weill: " Yes they have been good in the past, thye can be touchy but who cant, i imagine thye think i can"
Hunter: " Except that is your job"
Weill: " Yes, at one time we might have even got paid for it"
Hunter: " How are you feeling now?"
Weill: " Not so bad, take a while to work it through but thats the usual thing after such an incident, i have got to contact his wife sometime"
Hunter: " Yes, ah well i better go into my quarters, Goodnight Gus"
Weill: " Goodnight Admiral"

The tone of the Captain's voice suggested that he was not happy. Nathan looked forward to that meeting...
Nathan aknowledged, and turned to pick up another drink. Maybe he would call it a night soon as well.
A little while later Nathan said ggod night to everyone that was left and headed for his quaters. He wasn't going to try and sleep, he had too much energy for that.
He arrived in his quaters and changed into a pair of shorts and a vest. Tying up some replicated Earth sport shoes Nathan headed out of his room and beagn to jog. He found it relaxing to do this when the ship was practically empty. It gave him time to think and burn off some excess energy.
After about an hour of jogging and only meeting one or two people Nathan decided to call it a night and headed back to his quaters for a shower and a rest before the meeting the next morning.
He arrived back into his quaters and asked the computer for the time and a glass of Orange Seep Juice.
The juice appeared in the replicator.
=^= The time is 0134 =^=
Luke yawned and took a sip of the juice. Definately time for some sleep. He stumbled into the shower and nearly fell asleep under the warm tumbling water.
At 0203 he finally climbed into bed. The sheets felt cold and refreshing against his skin.
He soon fell into a deep sleep and was troubled by strange images of the Admiral and his Father with distorted faces...
He woke up on the floor, his bed-sheets tangled around him.
=^= The time is 0730 The time is 0730 =^= The computer sounded.
Nathan stood up and stretched, his back clicked uncomfortably.
He changed and ate a small breakfast. His appetite was quite gone after the nights dream.
He left his quaters at 0830. He knew he would be early for the meeting but he wanted to get those images out of his head.
He entered the bridge and greeted the morning crew.
"Marcus, if you could arrange a security drill for this afternoon. At around 1400?" Nathan asked.
"Sure. Ill get right on it."
Nathan nodded and excused himself. He pressed the door chime on the ready room door and was called to enter.
"Captain." Nathan said. "I am slightly early." He stated. "I apologise for any inconvenience."

Alex stood as the Admiral and Captain left the dining room. It had been an uninformative dinner, with neither the captain or Admiral giving up much information as to what was going on. It was nice to see Dr. Amhil out of Sickbay at last.
Dixon said his good nights to the rest of the command staff and left the dining room. He was headed for his quarters when he realized that there was something bothering him. Commander Zoarial had left the dinner early and quite unexpectedly. He had mumbled something about going to the head. Alex had thought that he looked oddly green for a Klingon at the time, and Zoarial hadn't returned. Dixon tapped his badge. "Computer, locate Commander Zoarial."
"Commander Zoarial is in Sickbay."
Shaking his head, he changed course and walked down to Deck 5 and walked into the room. There were several doctors clustered around the central table, which was emitting noises that were the equivalent of several dogs and cats engaged in a life and death brawl and the place smelled like a fishing trawler that had been abandoned in a swamp for one hundred years.
Alex found a clear path and took a look into the middle of the circle. Zoarial was lying on a biobed and was several shades of green, depending on where one looked and was making some of the weirdest noises he had ever heard.
Dixon got the attention of the nearest physician. "What's the matter with him?"
"Food poisoning, as near as we can tell, but one of the worst that we've ever seen. We might be dealing with some allergic reaction as well" the man said uncertainly.
"Esophogeal fluctuations nearing maximum!" a medical technician yelled. "It's starting again!"
"You know the drill" another one screamed. Before Alex could blink, the entire room had cleared, except for him. Zoarial's chest and stomach started heaving. Alex got the idea and bolted for the door and leaped through just in time. The door to Sickbay closed behind him, but Alex could still hear the sickening liquid splat from inside. Shuddering, he went to his quarters and grabbed a shower.
He had a very uncomfortable sleep, then got up and left for the bridge in time for the staff meeting the captain had asked for.

Weill was sitting at his desk, tapping it, he had cooled down a bit since the day before but he still wanted to talk to his staff to clear the situation, Ensign Nathan Harper walked into the room and made his apologies for being late.
Gradually the rest of the staff walked in.
Weill: "Now firstly i want to make it quite clear this is a message for you all and make sure your departments get the message but not in the same way............. I know you have had a bad time with an Admiral before but you WILL treat Admiral Hunter with the respect he deserves, he is a damned fine officer, one of the best, he has served with me and i trust him, so trust my judgement or wait until you see him in action........... He is not your run of the mill officer, and let me remind you he came aboard, because i invited him, than invitation also meant he would be treated with the respect that his position deserves..... i usually dont agree with that but in his case i do.......... And i have heard some say and hint that they dont like Admirals as they get perkes and let me remind certain JUNIOR officers that when they have served the federation in the senior echelons for over 50 years they will deserve the perks and will take a rest from the centre chair once in a while. Got that?"
Dixon: "Yes sir, for the senior staff i apologise and will make sure the situation is sorted"
Weill: " If anyone wants to talk to me about this, please come back after your dismissal, dismissed"

Nathan left the ready room, a frown fixed to his face.
Perhaps he had been too harsh on the Admiral, I mean he hadn't even met the guy properly.
He headed to his station and relieved Lt. Mathews. As he began a systems check a comm call came in. Just at that moment Commander Dixon entered.
"Sir Lt. Giga is reporting that his assitance is required on the Tiger Shark for a few more days. He apologises for any inconvenience."

The senior officers quietly filed out of the captain's ready room. The first officer sat down in his chair.
"Sir Lt. Giga is reporting that his assitance is required on the Tiger Shark for a few more days. He apologises for any inconvenience." Harper said
Alex sat quietly in his chair, absorbing that piece of information. He had been in contact with the Lieutenant, and the android had already promised once that he would be here in a few days. Alex had to say that their new science officer wasn't going out of his way to make a favourable impression so far. He tapped his communicator. "Captain, when are we scheduled to leave Assailant for our next mission?"
<Weill>
"Thank you captain. Lt. Harper, please contact our new Science officer and tell him that he should make his way to the Raven as soon as possible" Alex said.
<Harper>
Alex looked over at the vacant science position. He had placed Lt. Collaan in charge of Sciences while the ship waited for Giga. He had better show up soon or the ship will leave without him.
Alex then turned his gaze onto the vacant Navigation console. Zoarial was still in sickbay with whatever was troubling him. Luckily, the ship didn't seem to be going anywhere. Then a thought occurred to him and Alex turned to Ensign Harper. "Ensign, I'd like you to run a level 1 diagnostic on the navigational systems, particularly the gel packs. It just occurred to me that if the Briar Patch had such a negative impact on the crew, the same thing may have happened to the bioneural synapses in the gel packs. In fact, I'll give you a hand."

Dan left the Captain's Ready Room. Dan had stood near the back, as to not be standing in front of and completely blocking smaller members of the Senior Staff, Doctor Amhil in particular. He had no problem with the presence of Admiral Hunter at all. He had significant respect for Flag Officers, as he had been one many years ago.
Dan headed through the Bridge and into the turbolift. He then realized he wasn't sure where he wanted to go. "Deck......Two," he decided on. He had decided on the Mess Hall. It would be a good place to talk to crew that he hadnt seen in a while.
The turbolift reached the destination quickly, then opened. He walked the short distance down the corridor, then entered. There was a familiar face at the galley. He walked up to her.
"Well well well, here's someone I haven't seen in a while. Hello again, Commander," Berraine said, smiling.
"Hello, Berraine. Glad to see you're still here."
"Been here since the ship was commissioned, and don't intend to leave any time soon. How about you? I heard you became the Head of a Shipyards. Overseeing repairs?"
"Actually no. Omicron Shipyards turned out to be not quite what I wanted. So I've come back as Chief Engineer."
She smiled again. "Good to hear it! I'm glad you're back in Engineering. No offense to him, but things got a little rough around here while your replacement was around."
"Well, Nephi does deserve a little slack. He was pushed into a tough situation. It would have challenged any Chief Engineer, even me."
"I guess you're right. Can I get you anything?"
"Well, come to think of it, I am a little hungry. That hasperat I tried last time I was aboard was quite good. Could you make some more?"
"I most certainly can. Coming right up."
Dan looked around the Mess Hall, seeing who was there. Joktel and Paria were there, having apparently just finished eating, evidenced by empty plates. He went over to them. "Mind if I join you?"
They both looked up. Joktel spoke. "Certainly not. I'll get you a chair."
"No need, I can get it," Dan replied. He reached to an empty table. Gripped the top of a chair with one hand, picked it up, and moved it over. He placed it back down again.
"Glad the repairs are finally down?" Paria asked after he had sat down.
"I most certainly am," Dan said, sighing.

OFF: I am still an Ensign as far as I am aware! Although if you want to promote me... I dont mind! "Understood Sir, sending transmission now." Nathan speedily typed out a message and sent it through the Assailants comms network, it would get there faster that way. He began a systems check when Commander Dixon addressed him again. "Understood Sir. Ill get the computer to run a check but we may as well do a manual check as well, just to be sure." <TAG Dixon> Nathan rolled up his sleeves and knelt down besides the navigation console. He opened the back panel and initiated the self-diagnostic program. "We can either check it out up here or down in navigation control." Nathan said. <TAG Dixon>

Alex circled over to the tactical station and joined Ensign Harper as he examined the navigational diagnostic system. "I think that we can work on it up here for now. We can always move down there if we have any problems."
Harper nodded and the two of them started working. "Why don't you begin your examination of the starboard gel pack array, and I'll take port" the ensign said. Dixon nodded and began his diagnostic on the starboard array gel packs and sat back to wait for the reports to come in.
Alex glanced over the ensigns shoulder as he continued to work. It looked like Harper was running a secondary diagnostic on the ODN linkages between the gel packs and the central navigation system. Very thorough. The first officer suddenly realized that he had never spoken to Nathan outside of a duty situation, and knew almost nothing about him. Alex had read Harper's personel jacket when he was posted aboard, but remembered little of it and vaguely remembered a few details, just that he was from earth and was an expert in hand to hand combat. Also that he left Starfleet and then rejoined, although Alex couldn't recall why.
"So Nathan, I understand that you were a member of Starfleet, left and then rejoined. If you don't mind me asking, what brought you back?" Dixon asked.

Nathan looked up when the Commander asked him the question. He was surprised that this hadn't come up sooner.
He didnt want to lie, especially to his superior officer but he didnt see anyway around it.
"My mother became sick with a rare illness that only appears in terran females. She made it through barely."
Nathan felt terrible, he had lied. Not only a lie but a lie about his mothers health.
Commander Dixon remained quiet.
"There is a slight descrepency here." Nathan said, pointing at his readings.

"I'm very sorry to hear that, Ensign. But as long as she's healthy now..." Dixon paused, and Harper let it hang. Alex sensed that there was something else going on, but didn't want to appear to be prying into the Ensign's personal life.
Harper then glanced down at the console noted a problem with the navigation system and mentioned it to the first officer. Alex looked at the readout over Nathan's shoulder. He was right, there was some kind of a problem. The navigation system was showing the ship at the incorrect location, and naturally no one had noticed as the navigational system was shut down while the ship was in dock.
"That's an interesting problem. Do a manual reset of the system and see if that clears it" Dixon said. Harper entered the correct commands and the navigation subsystem rebooted. Unfortunately, this time it showed the Raven in a completely different location, and still not where they actually were.
"Sir, if you don't mind, I'd like to try that again" Harper said. Alex agreed and the ensign reentered the shutdown commands. This time, the navigation system showed the Raven in it's correct location.
"I read about a problem like this once" the Tactical Officer reported. "If one or several of the gel packs in the navigation system become corrupt, they give false location readings."
Alex hadn't heard of this particular issue, but there were lots of things he hadn't heard of. "Interesting. So how does one go about fixing this problem?"

Weill realised that the Raven better leave soon, it was becoming stagnent and he felt just as bad. He was sitting at his desk and than tapped his comm badge, with the stereotypical movements.
Weill: " Weill to Dixon"
Dixon: " Dixon here sir"
Weill: " Can you prepare the ship for taking us out, i would like to get under way ASAP"
Dixon: " Of course sir, what is our course?"
Weill: " That shall be known nearer the time, thankyou Commander, Weill out"
Weill sat back in his chair than finished the work that was on the console than walked out down to the mess deck to check on crew morale, but he wanted to stop off in sickbay on the way.
While walking to sickbay he felt the ship had settled, a good thing, he wasnt a Captain and manager that believed in keeping everyone guessing, and he was pleased the knew First Officer shared his view on stability of a vessel.
He walked into the sickbay and he found the Doctor at her desk writing like mad.
Weill: " Doctor, have you got your departmental report?"

Nathan looked up. He felt like he was being tested, so he would make sure that he did his upmost best.
"All the corrupted Gel packs need to be replaced. So each individual pack must be scanned. All the new packs going into the system must also be scanned. It could take a while and I recommend that all the other gel packs over the ship be sacnned as well. I dont know how far this corruption would have spread, it may have just stayed in the Navigationsl systems."

Alex was about to commend the Ensign on his plan when the captain contacted him to request that the Raven be prepared for departure. Alex acknowledged the order. Their new departure time sort of changed the way things were to go for the gel packs.
"Those sound like good ideas, Nathan, however we now need to balance that out with some speed. Get as many teams from Engineering and the Science department as they can spare to scan the packs, then isolate the contaminated ones using neural shunts. Once that's done, we can replace them with clean ones enroute while keeping navigation at the best efficiency possible" Alex said.
He was about to continue when he was interrupted by the chirping of the comm console. Harper accessed the signal and saw that it was a message from Starfleet and moved aside so that Dixon could look at it.
Alex read the contents and smiled, then turned to Nathan, who was starting to organize scan teams. "Sorry Ensign, but it seems a quick celebration is in order before you can start." Harper looked puzzled so Alex continued.
"Although it's not official yet, I have some friends in Starfleet who occasionally can pass some information. Congratulations, you're a lieutenant now." The rest of the bridge crew walked over to offer their congratulations to the new lieutenant junior grade.

Zoarial felt sick.
He felt like being in sickbay for several months, and he wouldn't be surprised if it turned out that he was.
Every day he was awake for a couple of minutes, which was just enough to transfer his stomach contents to the walls of sickbay. Zoarial could remember how he wondered how on earth all that could come out of his body, and he felt like he had thrown up all his intestines.
Twice... At least...
The strange feeling that the Raven had already departed, overtook his mind, so at one certain morning, when Zoarial was awake for like it seemed a very long time, he prepared himself to get up and leave sickbay.
When he sat upright, he was again pushed down by Amhil.
Zoarial: But doctor, I have to go to the bridge now, who is going to steer the ship?
<<amhil>>
Zoarial decided to stop arguing because it made him very tired and almost instantly felt a gobling feeling in his stomach. He saw how Amhil backed away, and found out that he was making a series of weird noises, which didn't seem to come from his own mouth.
An enormous wave of unidentified goo was again thrown against the wall.
*Whatever it is, this is no average food poisoning* Zoarial thought to himself, and he went unconsious again, almost immideately.

Giga piloted the shuttle through the endless regions of space.
He had left the Bellicose a day ago, the shuttle he was on could go barely faster than Warp 3.
Lt. Giga had recently been on the U.S.S. Tiger Shark, meeting Commandent Dowding's son - Luke. However he was now on his way to the Raven, his first official assignment after the academy.
The sensor console lit up. The Raven was just leaving Spacedock.
"Lt. Giga to U.S.S. Raven. Requesting permission to come abord."
<TAG Dixon>
"Aknowledged Raven, I will land in Shuttlebay 2."
Giga cut the comm and brought the shuttle in to dock.

Alex was sitting in the first officers chair as activity on the bridge slowly became more and more frantic. Preparations to get the ship underway as per the captain's orders were nearly complete and the ship should be ready to go within the hour.
Harper was still at the Tactical Officer's station, coordinating the examination of the gel packs when the incoming communication chime went off. Nathan answered it, then said "Commander Dixon, incoming message for you from a Lt. Giga."
"Thank you, lieutenant Harper" Alex said, glancing back at the Tactical Officer. Dixon saw Nathan smile slightly and he smiled back. It took him a little while to get used to people calling him that as well after he was promoted. "Put our new Science Officer on audio."
Harper entered the correct codes and an unfamiliar voice filled the bridge. "Lt. Giga to U.S.S. Raven. Requesting permission to come abord."
"Permission granted Lieutenant. Please dock your ship in Bay 2."
"Acknowledged Raven, I will land in Shuttlebay 2" he replied.
Alex stood up and turned to the Tactical Officer. "Nathan, you have the bridge. I'm going to go and greet our new officer. Please inform the captain that he's coming aboard."
<Harper>
Dixon boarded a turbolift and made his way to shuttlebay 2. He entered just as the type 3 shuttle settled gently to the deck. He stood out of the way as the pilot went through the shutdown sequence, then the main hatch opened and a muscular looking android with yellow skin emerged, looked around and then made his way over to Alex.
Alex carefully examined the android and said "Welcome aboard the Raven, lieutenant Giga."

(OOC: I'd like to apologize for not posting for a while)
Dan had been eating for a while, so Joktel and Paria had decided to order another course for themselves. Dan was surprised at how much Joktel was eating.
"You're eating alot more than usual, Joktel. Any reason?"
He looked up from his plate and smiled. "Actually I was trying to keep up with you."
Dan chuckled. "You may want to be careful there, lest you make yourself sick. My stomach is about twice the size of yourselves, and my metabolism is high. I consume very large quantities of food."
"You've got a point there." He put his fork down and pushed his plate back, and leaned back with a hand on his abdomen.
Paria had stopped eating and was currently looking at a PADD. She seemed almost captivated.
Dan looked at it in puzzlement. "What's so interesting about that PADD, Paria? You're not one to become engrossed in a book."
She looked up "Huh? Oh, its not a book. It's a PADD monitoring ship-board communications. Activity in Engineering is increasing considerably. Looks like we're getting ready to depart."
He extended his hand. "May I?" She nodded and handed him the PADD. He looked over it. She was right, Engineeering was becoming quite busy. "Well, looks like we'd better go down there."
They stood, and after Dan gave a slight bow to Berraine, they left the Mess Hall. He continued looking at the PADD. He noticed something. "From what I read here, Mr Harper, who's just been promoted to Lt it seems, is coordinating a check of all the gel-packs."
Joktel looked over. "That's odd. I wonder why we weren't called in. Shall we offer to take over."
Dan shook his head. "No, I think we'll let the Raven's newest Lt a chance to shine," he said, smiling.
They left the turbolift. When they entered Engineering, the gel-pack check was quite evident.
=/\= Commander Trek to Lt Harper. How's the gel-pack check going? Do you need any additional help? =/\=

Weill walked onto the bridge, he didnt mind if the crew werent ready he was getting out of the station, he was quite bored of its shadow and wanted to take his vessel for a spin. This wasnt a feeling of anger but of restlessness, the ship should have been repaired, so he thought who better to ask that Dantrek.
Weill: "< Weill to Dantrek>"
Dantrek: "< Dantrek here>"
Weill: "< Can the ship get under way within the next few minutes>"
Dantrek: "< It can but we wont be at full capacity>"
Weill: "< Understood, Weill out>"
Weill: " < This is the Captain, all crew to their positions, we will be leaving the starbase in 7 minutes, Commander Zoarial please take the conn ASAP and Commander Dixon to the bridge"
He waited and Zoarial and Dixon came onto the bridge within seconds of one another and they realised he was in a hurry and perhaps not in the best mood.
Weill: " Commander Dixon, you have command, take us out of here"
Dixon: " Yes sir"

Giga stepped out of the shuttle, his motions the same as any organic. If it weren't for the colour of his skin, which was a plae yellow colour, then no-one would know he was an android, well at least until he spoke.
Giga looked the Commander up and down. This was Commander Dixon, he accessed the officers bio. First Officer of the Raven, a number of medals. A Human born on Caldos 4.
"Thank you Commander." Giga said. Commandent Dowding had warned Giga to remain polite always, for some reason Giga could mot grasp pleasantries. "I apologise for tardiness. I was held up on the Tiger Shark, they required my assitance on the planet they were exploring."

Dan felt it would be a good idea to warn the Captain what his limitations were at present. Dan didn't want the ship being put under stress and needing major repair just out of spacedock.
He checked various readouts. He then hit the comm circuit. =/\= Trek to Bridge. Captain, be advised that the Warp Core isnt quite strong yet, so I would recommend a max of Warp 8 at present. I also wouldn't test the limits of our defenses at present if I were you =/\=
=/\= Acknowledged, Commander. Weill out =/\=
Dan turned back to look at Engineering. He turned to Joktel, who was next to him. "We've got to get this ship up to specs as soon as possible. I don't like running on reduced capacity. Lets start on the Tactical systems. Top-notch defenses are more useful than maximum speed in a crisis."

No matter how much Amhil refused to let Zoarial leave, he was determined to get to the bridge, especially after Gus' 7 minute warning.
Amhil: I won't let you go commander! You are simply not healthy yet.
Zoarial: If it pleases you I will take a bowl with me sothat the console doesn't get dirty, but that's all I can do. I'm really sorry dr Eddons.
With those words Zoarial left an astonished CMO in sickbay. A bit unsteady on his feeet he got to the bridge, but after a cool glass of water he felt okayisch again.
Zoarial: Commander Zoarial reporting sir!
<<alex>>
Zoarial: Dr Eddons said that I am not entirely healthy yet, but I can cope with my current physical situation, steering the ship is the best cure I expect!
<<alex>>
Zoarial wanted to sit down in front of his console, but saw that it was dismantled. The sight of exposed gel-packs made Zoarial feel kind of naked himself.
Zoarial: Hello mr Harper! Good to see you again. I noticed that the helm is not capable of functioning properly at the moment, is there some hope that it will be ready for our departure?
<<nathan>>
Zoarial: That's not so good to hear, I hope that I will be able to make an arrangement, or else we would have to fully rely on the computer, and I don't like the prospect of that!
Zoarial decided that it would be best to inform the CEO about the situation, and hoped that it would be possible to rerout the helm to one of the consoles of engineering again.
Zoarial: =/\=Commander Zoarial to commander Trek. It seems that the navigational console on the bridge is currently unavailable. Do you have a spare console in engineering that I could use, just like when we were in the briar patch? The computer settings should be retrievable very easily.=/\=
<<dan>>
Zoarial: =/\=I see. Thanks for your help anyway, I'll see if I can upgrade a console elswhere on the ship! Zoarial out.=/\=
It seemed to Zoarial that every post was occupied and every console was needed, so he thought that it would be better to inform Alex of the situation and hope that he would be able to come up with a solution. Zoarial stepped up to the FO chair and explained what the problem was.
<<alex>>
Zoarial: But of course! It's weird that I didn't think of that myself. Thank you very much! I will get there right away.
Zoarial immideately ran to the assigned console and found out that everything was already functioning exactly as it would have on the helm.
Zoarial: =/\=Commander Zoarial asking for clearance of all maintenance personel and requesting a departure of the USS Raven-A from the spacedock.=/\=
Space dock officer: =/\=Request approved. Al the maintenance crew is now clear from the ship.=/\=
Zoarial: =/\=Thank you very much. I am now beginning departure sequence beta four. Raven out.=/\=
All the tubes and wires were now disconnected from the Raven and slowly the Raven began to move out of the dock, after a minute, Zoarial had steered the Raven clear of all space dock boundaries.
Zoarial: The USS Raven has cleared the spacedock. Commander Zoarial requesting the coordinates of our destination

Nathan was extremely happy about the promotion. It was more than a little unexpected, he haddnt been back in the ranks for that long.
"Understood Sir." Nathan said, stepping away from his console and taking the centre chair. "Very nice." He muttered to himself.
He tapped his comm badge. "Harper to Captain Weill. Lt. Jg. Giga has just arrived in Shuttlebay 2."
<TAG Weill>
"Understood. Harper out."
Zoarial walked onto the bridge and Nathan saw his shocked face, he stood up to greet the Commander.
"I am afraid it will all be computer run for now." Nathan said. "There were 'issues' with the gel packs, every single one on board needs to be replaced. I will give you a full report in no less than an hour."
Nathan sighed, maybe he should get that reporty written up.
"Commander Zoarial, will you take the bridge? I have some work I need to do." Nathan said.
<TAG Zoarial>
After Zoarial had cleared the Space dock he took the centre chair.
Nathan nodded and moved nack to his console. He felt more comfortable there.

"That's fine Lieutenant" Dixon replied. "I'm glad that you made it here." We should probably be on our way. The ship will be leaving Starbase shortly." The android nodded and the two of them turned and exited the shuttle bay in silence. Dixon quietly considered Giga's service record. There really wasn't very much in it, besides the fact that he was an android and received excellent marks at the Academy. Dixon would have expected nothing else.
He was about to ask Giga a little more about himself when Commander Zoarial came around the next corner. The CNO looked a little unsteady on his feet, and he was still an odd colour.
Alex sighed inwardly. It was another example of personel not spending the required time in Sickbay. Unfortunately, he was just as guilty as everyone else aboard ship, so wasn't about to speak to Zoarial about it. Instead he turned slightly to his companion and said "Commander, this is Lt. Giga our new science officer. Giga, our CNO Commander Zoarial." The two of them shook hands, then the shipwide comm became active. This is the Captain, all crew to their positions, we will be leaving the starbase in 7 minutes, Commander Zoarial please take the conn ASAP and Commander Dixon to the bridge.
"I guess that we should all get to the bridge, gentlemen." The three of them boarded the nearest turbolift and headed to Deck 1. The bridge was quiet, with all posts manned. Alex walked over and sat in his chair beside the Captain, who looked upset for some reason.
"Commander Dixon, you have command, take us out of here" Weill ordered.
"Aye sir." Alex replied.
As he was preparing to take the ship out, Zoarial stepped forward and mentioned to Alex that there was a problem with the gel packs. Alex looked back at Nathan, who nodded as if to say that all was well. "The gel packs problem is mostly taken care of. We had a few that were compromised by the Briar Patch, but the few that were have been isolated from the navigational array with neural shunts. They should be replaced shortly. Until they are, it would be wise to continually verify our course and position with other ships and starbases that are within sensor range." Zoarial nodded and returned to the navigational console.
Alex accessed the console on his chair and verified that all sections had reported ready, then started the Raven out of the starbases' cavernous dock. A few minutes later, they were back out in open space. "Mr. Zoarial, set course for Telvin 3. Warp 5. Engage."
Zoarial entered the coordinates for their destination, then spent a few extra seconds double checking them and the ship's position. Satisfied that everything was correct, the ship leaped to warp.

The ship was making preparations to head out. Which meant that Dan needed to work quickly to get the ship up to full capacity as soon as possible.
" =/\=Commander Zoarial to Commander Trek. It seems that the navigational console on the bridge is currently unavailable. Do you have a spare console in engineering that I could use, just like when we were in the briar patch? The computer settings should be retrievable very easily.=/\= "
Dan tapped his commbadge " =/\= Commander you are correct that it is easy to modify a console to serve as Helm Control. However, the real issue is availability. I don't have any spare consoles around, unfortunately. You'll have to make do. =/\= "
" =/\=I see. Thanks for your help anyway, I'll see if I can upgrade a console elswhere on the ship! Zoarial out.=/\= "
Dan turned back to Joktel. "What are the phasers at right now?"
Joktel looked over at a read-out. "Phasers currently at 85%"
"Any idea what the problem is?"
He looked at another readout. "Looks like a problem with the power distribution net. We've got a faulty relay, which is limiting power flow to the phaser arrays."
Dan looked down, then back up. "I thought we fixed all the damaged relays." He sighed. "Oh well, by-pass it. We'll fixed it later."
Joktel entered a few commands. He smiled. "Phasers at 100%, Commander."
"Good. Let's get started on the Warp Core. We want this ship to be fast in case the Captain says so."
