"He's in my ready room," Nack said, not wishing to make eye contact with the Doctor. He had embarrassed himself back in sickbay, and hadn't yet dismissed the feelings of discomfort every time he thought about the incident. "...talking to Commander Park. Whatcha need?"
He flipped views on the view screen as he talked to Lucy, giving him the view from the Starboard side of the ship. It was something to do while the Doctor talked to him, wishing to have a private meeting with he and Waterson.
"I just paged for her - she should be here soon." Nack was hoping to hear from Waterson that the crew was being one hundred percent cooperative with what she needed to fulfill her investigation, which is why he had originally paged her.
He adjusted himself in his seat. It was good to be on the bridge and not be locked down to a bed. Nack could see that Lucy was attempting to view the monitor attached to the Captain's shirt collar which transmitted his vitals.
"It's still there..." Nack said, feeling sorry for himself that he was the one crew member that had to be medically monitored. "I think I have been able to keep myself calm pretty successfully," his tone got more cheerful.
When Commander Waterson arrived, Nack headed toward his Ready Room, before stopping- realizing that Commander Trek was occupying it.
"Why don't we use the Briefing Room? There is more room in there anyway."
The two Doctors followed Nack into the room.
"I had originally called you up here, Doctor Waterson, to ask how the briefing went. But it now seems that Doctor Grey has some urgent news she wishes to discuss with us."
Before Lucy could begin, Nack asked, "So, what do you think of our crew? Is this ship going to be acceptable for your pursuits?"

Trek took each of the PADDs from Park as they were handed to him, and then sat down on the couch that was in the room to study them.
He didn't know Lieutenant Salfer particularly well, but reports, her record and what little direct experience Dan had had with the marine officer said she was a fine candidate. The ship could definitely use an additional security team, and the promotion was well-deserved.
He put down the PADDs. "Very well, Commander. Permission granted on the formation of the additional security team, and to have Lieutenant Salfer as its head. I'll pass along the recommendation for her promotion to the Captain, but I'm quite certain he'll approve it. Dismissed."
A few moments after the CTSO left, Dan returned to the Bridge, intended to pass along Park's request. But the Captain wasn't there. "Computer, locate Captain Nack."
"Captain Nack is in the Briefing Room," was the computer's monotonic reply.
Dan sat in his own chair. Any meeting/gathering being held in the Briefing Room was by invitation only. It wouldn't do for Dan to barge in.

Lisa was startled out of her reading by being summoned to meet with Captain Nack on the bridge. With a yawn, the investigator stretched her shoulder muscles, which were beginning to cramp from leaning over padds for so long, and quickly moved to meet with the Captain. Upon arriving at the bridge, Waterson was surprised to find Doctor Grey already there, looking...concerned perhaps? Immediately starting to worry about Nack’s medical condition, the Commander followed the doctor and her patient into the briefing room, carefully watching the Ferengi for any signs of discomfort or fatigue. He seemed alright…but appearances could be deceiving.
"I had originally called you up here, Doctor Waterson, to ask how the briefing went. But it now seems that Doctor Grey has some urgent news she wishes to discuss with us. So, what do you think of our crew? Is this ship going to be acceptable for your pursuits?" the Captain asked, seeming to ignore Lucy for a moment.
Glancing briefly at Doctor Grey, Lisa replied, “The briefing went very well, Sir. I found the depth of understanding very high, and the insight from their questions to quite refreshing. I am very pleased with the level of excellence displayed by your ship and crew, and I’m certain this is the perfect ship to undertake this mission. I can see why the Nevada was recommended for this assignment.”
Smiling slightly to indicate she meant what she said, Doctor Waterson glanced back at Lucy and asked, “What news did you want to discuss with us, Doctor?”

"Very well, Commander. Permission granted on the formation of the additional security team, and to have Lieutenant Salfer as its head. I'll pass along the recommendation for her promotion to the Captain, but I'm quite certain he'll approve it. Dismissed."
When Commander trek dismissed him he nodded and exited the ready room and headed to the tactical station. Commander Thomas was there working his shift on the bridge and Jon started to tap commands into the console looking for security officers waiting for assignment.
Jon started copying names on to a Padd and told Thomas "I will be in my office Commander." Heading for the turbolift Marcus called out "Deck 15 Brig" The lift headed down and marcus soon found himself on deck 15. Turning right he headed down the corridor reading the Padd before he relized his office was in the other direction. Turning around he soon entered his office and sat down.
"Computer Raktagino." The drink appeared on the receptacle and Park reached out with out looking and grabbed it setting it on the desk. Tapping his Combadge he called =/\= Park to Lt. Salfer. Report to my Office." It took her 3 minutes and 5 seconds to Arrive a little winded Park saw. "Running Lieutenant." Park smiled knowing why she came so fast. "Ok Lieutenant i just came from a Meeting with Commander Trek and i have been give permission to form the Delta team and it is agreed u will lead them, Congrats."
Lt.Salfer was excited and nodded to Park."Understood ,sir thank you but..." She trailed off and Jon knew why "As for the promotion to LT.Commander " Jon Started and she knew she was not going to get it. "Commander Trek Needs to check with Captian Nack but is fairly sure you will get it. Of course i will keep u posted."She nodded and Jon added one more thing. "Put a list toghter of people u would like on the team and we will work on it say we meet back here at 1300 hours."
Lt.Salfer nodded and hurried to work on the list. Park went to the Hanger deck to check on Lt.Jones and found Captain Marks talking to him in a very energetically and Jon moved to find out what was going on just in time to duck Marks swinging arm. catching her hand he addressed her.
"Captain Marks what is going on?" Lt. Jones jumps in and says "Sir we were talking and you know what happens when you debate." "Yes i do Mister Jones." Park commented he turned to them "I want a status report on Marines and security teams by 1230 hours so i can go over somethings with the new Delta team leader." Marks and Jones nodded and went to get on the report.

Nack looked at the information that Lucy had pulled up on classified view screen.
The Ferengi read the screen, "They want to sell me a heart?"
Lucy nodded.
"I've seen many black market operations in my lifetime," qualifying the statement with, ", remember - I've lived on Ferenginar for a few years in my late teens - and I've never seen anyone this bold. What do you make of it Commander Waterson?"
The fact that they were dealing directly with what was probably the Internal Thief, as command so eloquently put it, was a bit chilling. What was even more chilling were the questions that followed.
"How did they know that I had a heart attack?" and if they knew that, they probably knew that there was a specialist onboard investigating them. This was either an incredibly stupid move, or an incredibly calculated move.
"Are we in a giant cat and mouse game?"
His combadge made a twirping noise. =/\= Sir, we have arrived at Yavin III. =/\= said Dan Trek.
=/\= Excellent, I'll be right there. =/\=
"If you will excuse me, ladies, I need to be on the bridge. I assume we are done here."
Nack stepped onto the bridge and addressed Commander Trek. "Call the senior staff back to duty, we have a slight situation." The first officer looked concerned, but Nack waved his concern off, explaining his need to talk as something minor.
"Somehow, the internal thief has found out about my heart condition. I'm not so concerned about that, but if they know that, they know we are hunting them... so I want ourselves on alert for anything that seems out of the ordinary."
He sat down in his chair.
"I'm going to ask that you have security verify the transmission lines, making sure they are not compromised. Have operations help them to verify the integrity of our encryption channels. If they need help from Engineering, have Ensign Bit Cloud give them a hand. We need to get to the bottom of this quickly before we have a run in with whoever this is."
Yavin III, their destination, was on the view screen in front of them. Hopefully Commander Waterson knew what she was doing when taking them here. The Nevada had intended to get involved in the matter - but Captain Nack never thought it would become so personal.

"Aye, Captain," the First Officer replied. He then tapped a comm-button. "Commander Trek to all Senior Staff. Report to duty stations if not already there."
He tapped it again. "Trek to Commander Park. Commander, we may have a leak in our comm channels. Verify that none of them have been compromised in anyway."

Park tapped his combadge." Yes Sir. I will check into that and i am on my way to the bridge." Park headed from the Hanger deck and entered the first turbolift he found and entered. "Bridge." and the lift started going up.
Jon started to think how he could verify that the com channel that was not compromised. He could run a recursive algorithm and see if there was a glitch. The lift doors opened and Jon moved over to the Tactical station.
As he moves to the back of the station he enters commands into the Communication systems and ran a check not finding anything he tapped his combadge.

Deep in the secondary hull under the port nacelle, Gallin sat huddled against the bulkhead with a small, portable computer balanced on his lap. His voice was shaky....
"I didn't think about it. And I am not high enough in the food chain to know why that commander is on the ship. Until now."
The image on the small monitor leaned back in his chair and sighed openly. "Very well. Be prepared to beam out in 30 minutes. I'll put you back in the labs."
The screen went dark. Gallin looked around surreptitiously. Seeing no one he listened for footsteps but heard nothing either.
Only 30 minutes and he would be off this ship. Of all the luck! Ever since he'd gotten involved with this end of the organ donations he's been scared. Frightened, terrified, any name one would want to label it. He should have stayed in the lab in the first place.
Now, if only he could stay hidden here until the beam out. He squeezed his eyes closed and prayed to a being that might not exist.

Lucy put out her hand and touched Cmdr. Waterson's arm in a gesture to stop. The captain continued to the bridge, his heart monitor strangely quiet. Quiet because Dr. Grey had not gotten a panic call from the sickbay monitors.
"Commander, I want to agree to the deal. If we make contact such as this, we'll be that much further into their organization."
"Oh?" Waterson asked, lifting her eyebrows.
Dr. Grey took a deep breath. "What if it's someone on the ship that's leaking information? What if our security has been compromised from the inside and not through our secure communication channels?" Lucy shook her head averting her gaze to the window and Yavin III. "I know it would put us all in more danger than we already are. What's a little more risk?"

"Commander Trek to Lieutenant Helacaan. Our comm frequencies may have been tapped. Could you check the integrity of the encryption protocols? Have Ensign Bit-Cloud assist you, if needed."
"Very well sir," was Seth's reply. He'd been set to work. Good, something to take my mind off things, he thought. Seth thought that the best bet would be to go to engineering. With Bit-Cloud there, not only would Seth be able to enlist his help, but it would also give him an easily accessible interface to the comm relays... his mind was working now, the months of Ops training, not to mention knowledge accumulated from his degree was coming into use.
The lieutenant swept into Engineering, "Chief Bit-Cloud?" he called for the Engineer in a fair tone. There were still the unmistakeably rough edges around Seth's voice, growing up and living on an environmentally harsh planet did that. Together with Bit-Cloud Seth searched through the encryption protocols, everything appeared to be in order, until... the Wezean frowned.
=/\= Park to Helacaan. I am having a problem with Communication relay 21 can you help? =/\=
As if by magic Commander Park had called Seth at the very moment the latter had run into that problem. =/\= Commander, I am having similar problems down here, the protocol is clearly not up to specifications, I would suggest that this is a possible weakness that someone could, or maybe has been exploiting. =/\=
<tag Park>
Things have changed gear.. Seth thought. The Nevada had reached its destination, now it was simply a matter of waiting for the thief to strike the base, Or perhaps based upon recent evidence.. the ship.
So this is what starfleet is all about. Seth wasn't sure what he thought of it first, it was different from what he had been expecting, yet somehow not. It wasn't the Federation Council in any case, Seth could console himself in that fact at least, if he had little else that would, under current circumstances, make him happy, then at least he would have that.

The message Doctor Grey showed them shocked Lisa to the core. Never in all this time working the case had she ever seen anything like this. This was...not like the Internal Thief at all, pulling something so bold and stupid. "I've seen many black market operations in my lifetime, remember - I've lived on Ferenginar for a few years in my late teens - and I've never seen anyone this bold. What do you make of it Commander Waterson?" the Captain asked, drawing her out of her thoughts.
“I’ve never seen anything like this with regards to this case. The Internal Thief is very clever, calculating, and careful, but this seems extraordinarily reckless and unlike the director. My guess is we’re dealing with an associate, someone in the ring or perhaps someone involved in the raids on ships rather than the thief, but this development is...disturbing.” Waterson finished uncertainty clouding her voice.
As Nack and Lucy continued talking, the Commander’s mind began to wander. She hadn’t seen this coming or anticipated anything even remotely close. Being the only expert in this case, Lisa tended to feel very secure and confident in her control over what happened, but this surprise put that into question. Things had only more complicated with the addition to this crime ring of raids on ships. Before then, everything had made sense, but now things were spiraling out of control…
=/\= Sir, we have arrived at Yavin III. =/\= the voice of the fist officer reported, once again startling Doctor Waterson out of her inner monologue. As the Captain acknowledged and moved towards the bridge, Lisa moved to follow almost on autopilot, but she was stopped unexpectedly by Lucy’s hand on her arm.
"Commander, I want to agree to the deal. If we make contact such as this, we'll be that much further into their organization. What if it's someone on the ship that's leaking information? What if our security has been compromised from the inside and not through our secure communication channels? I know it would put us all in more danger than we already are. What's a little more risk?"
Lisa’s mind was still racing with latest incident, and Doctor Grey’s questions and suggestion only furthered the spinning sensation. After carefully considering the potential outcomes, Waterson finally sighed heavily before responding. “Agreed. However, I must caution you that these people are professionals. I would not recommend trying to trap them or trick them. That will get you killed easily. The best chance we have of using this information is through the method of contact. Their encryptions are most likely very strong, if not impossible to break, but that is the safest way to use this opportunity, that and tracing the actual organ to the source.”
Beginning to warm up to the idea, Lisa continued. “I suggest you just agree to the purchase and request the price. They’ll contact you with an amount and instructions. According to my research, an acceptable price is 20-30 bars of latinum. Don’t accept anything higher, and once they arrive there, do not try to go lower. They will think because you’re Starfleet they can play you, so they will probably start at 50. Don’t pay them until you have the heart. If they push for payment before then, lean on the fact that you are a Starfleet Officer and you can’t disappear, and they will agree.”
Smiling at Lucy, the commander quickly wished her colleague good luck, hoping she’d provided enough information, before moving to join the Captain on the bridge. Glancing up at the viewscreen filled with the image of their destination, her confidence slowly began to return. So she’d missed one little side plot in all of this…she was still the best and most informed person with all the tools necessary to do what she needed to do. There was no need to panic over one tiny twist.
“The medical facility is in one of the three cities, all located on one of the northern continents.” Lisa reported before giving the helm the coordinates to achieve a geo-synchronous orbit. “I’ve been in contact with Doctor Teyak, who is the center’s head administrator. I need to let him know we’ve arrived.” the doctor continued, moving to ops to provide the comm channel frequency. Glancing at Nack and feeling her face flush slightly at realizing she had completely taken over his bridge, Lisa hastily added. “I mean…with your permission of course, Sir…”
Lucky for the human doctor, the Ferengi didn’t appear to take offense, so Lisa moved to the center of the bridge as a channel was opened and the image of the planet was replaced by that of an older Romulan male. Smiling warmly in greeting to her fellow doctor, Waterson spoke first. “Doctor Teyak, it’s a pleasure to speak with you again. I’ve just arrived on the Nevada. I believe it best to begin security preparations immediately before we discuss additional concerns and strategies. May I have your permission to beam down?” the Commander requested politely.
Teyak appeared relieved to see them, but somewhat wary, “Agreed, Doctor Waterson. I am hoping to avoid what happened to the Rokata research institute so recently. Your willingness to assist us is…greatly appreciated.”
Still smiling, Lisa nodded in understanding. “You are most welcome, Doctor. That is our wish as well, to prevent these devastating ordeals from occurring again. We are hoping that your facility may be the end of all this trouble, but I’ll elaborate on that face to face. Thank you again for allowing us to work together on this shared problem at your facility. Your willingness to let us assist you is equally appreciated.”
The Romulan doctor nodded in acknowledgement. “We will speak again shortly, once you arrive; Teyak out.” he responded before the channel closed.
Turning to face the Ferengi Captain, Lisa hesitated momentarily after realizing she had committed to visiting, perhaps including an away team of his own crew, before checking with him first. Somewhat sheepishly, Doctor Waterson cautiously spoke. “I need to transport to the surface to meet with the administrators and implement the necessary changes with their security. If you wish to send an away team as well to assist that would be helpful, but of course that decision is up to you.”

"Aye, I think we can afford you some of our finest." Nack said, considering whom to send. "I am going to insist that you take Commander Park with you, my chief of security - I believe you've met my senior staff." He stood in compunction, however, feeling he didn't quite satisfy Commander Waterson's request.
"You'll probably want to take Helacaan along as well." The operations officer would be able to ensure the integrity of the databases, their station's layout, and suggest personnel changes. He and Park could also examine the Personnel logs and see if there were any inconsistencies, or anything out of the norm.
Commander Trek made a motion to suggest that he go along on the away mission as well, but Nack declined. "I'm going to need you here, Number One. We still have an issue with our communications being tapped, and I want you to make sure that is resolved with Park and Helacaan gone."
His heart monitor beeped a couple of times, probably due to the excitement of the Captain. Outwardly he didn't appear agitated or gleeful. Inside, however, he got that feeling one gets when they are about to begin digging into the meat of a mission. The beeping quickly stopped, as Nack had learned a few breathing techniques from the nurses for keeping his stress to a minimum.
"As soon as you are ready, Commander, you may leave."
=/\= Commander Park and Lieutenant Helacaan, please prepare for a departure to the surface. Commander Waterson will need your assistance on securing the medical facility. =/\=
The natural assumption, was that they would leave someone in charge of their current task. Commander Trek would see to it that the work on the Nevada continued, as Captain Nack was preoccupied with a few more questions to Commander Waterson before she left.
"What exactly are we going to do to secure their facility?" He was sure there was a good answer, but he needed to make sure it was in line with Federation charter before he put his implied approval on the away mission by allowing it occur.

|Shuttle-on route to USS Nevada
Emily sat at the helm. She made sure that her course was still correct and she didn’t need to make a change. “Computer ETA till arrival on USS Nevada,” she asked
*Two hours and 47 min* responded the computer
Emily took a deep breath. She was hoping she was closer to her new post and home. The USS Nevada is a great ship with a great crew and Emily knew that. That was one of the reasons she wanted to be on the Nevada.
Although Jonas could not wait to get on her new posting, she was still very worried about a few things. Starships and there crews get in battles and that was one thing that Emily was not good at. A lot people think that just because Emily is El-Aurian and had been alive for a long time she knows how to fight and defend herself. However, that’s not true. One of the few things Emily was not good at was combat and she knew that she would be put in a position were she might need to defend herself or the ship eventually.
“Computer I am taking a nap inform me if anything changes, and when we are approaching the Nevada”
The computer made a noise to indicate the command. Emily then walked into the aft compartment and tried to catch a few “Z’s”
| USS Nevada, Bridge, Three hours later
Emily walked off the lift and over to Commander Trek, “Ensign Emily Jonas, Reporting for duty, Sir,” She said as she stud at attention.

"I'm going to need you here, Number One. We still have an issue with our communications being tapped, and I want you to make sure that is resolved with Park and Helacaan gone."
"Aye, sir," the First Officer replied, and turned to the engineering station. "Run a Level 4 Diagnostic of the comm systems," he said to the engineer occupying it. This engineer was one of the new arrivals, having transferred in just before they left spacedock. Dan felt a pang of longing for the engine room, as this crewmember served to remind him of his now detached status from Engineering.
Thirty seconds later, the engineer reported. "Diagnostic complete. It appears comm relay 21 has been tampered with, sir."
"How so?"
"Checking," the engineer said, pulling up data on the relay in question. "Its protocols have been...rewritten. I'm one of the communications systems specialist sir, and this isn't how a comm relay should be configured.
Dan looked at the read-outs for himself. "No, it most certainly is not. Its security's been compromised. None of the relays looked like this when I ran the engine room."
"Yes, I had heard you'd previously been the Chief Engineer. Miss it?" the engineer asked, checking other things.
"More than you know. I've been an engineer on and off for over a century. Such things stay with you. But anyway," he said, getting back on topic. "Get down to engineering. Fix this thing."
"Aye sir," the engineer said, and left the Bridge.
This was, undoubtedly, an inside job. The kinds of modifications he was seeing couldn't be done remotely. The ship either had a mole, or someone had been corrupted. He was so focused on checking access and repair logs that he barely noticed someone approach him.
"Ensign Emily Jonas, Reporting for duty, Sir."
He looked over to an Acting Ensign standing before him at attention. This must be the new Science Officer.
"At ease, Ensign," he said nodding. The small woman relaxed her posture.
"So you're the El-Aurian, huh? And the crew thinks I'm old," he said with a grin. "Anyway, welcome aboard the Nevada, Ensign. Your orders are to report to Doctor Grey in Sickbay for a physical."

"Aye, I think we can afford you some of our finest. I am going to insist that you take Commander Park with you, my chief of security - I believe you've met my senior staff. You'll probably want to take Helacaan along as well.” Nack replied.
Smiling, Lisa quickly answered, “I was actually hoping you would assign those officers to the away team. Clearly having the chief of security along would only make sense, and the Lieutenant seemed to grasp the situation rather quickly.”
Doctor Waterson was quite pleased with these two officers being assigned to the team and felt that the Captain had made the perfect decision. That would be why he was in command she supposed. "As soon as you are ready, Commander, you may leave." Nack offered before tapping his commbadge. “Commander Park and Lieutenant Helacaan, please prepare for a departure to the surface. Commander Waterson will need your assistance on securing the medical facility.”
That done, the Ferengi Captain turned back to her and asked, "What exactly are we going to do to secure their facility?" Lisa did not take that as his way of questioning her plan but as an opportunity to explain the security measures she had developed that had helped so many of the other medical facilities.
“It’s quite simple really. Most hospitals don’t really protect their supplies as well as they should or nearly as well as they protect patient files. It’s a straight-forward matter of identifying the items most likely to be targeted and shifting available security resources to protect as much as possible. The Thief may have found a way around many of these measures, but it does at least seem to slow down how much and what exactly gets taken.” the doctor answered promptly, having to cut herself short as her commbadge signaled an incoming message.
=/\= Park to Commander Waterson, I know about the doctors oath, However please meet myself and Lieutenant Helacaan down at the armory so we can get ready for the away mission.=/\= the chief of security requested politely.
“Acknowledged,” Waterson replied before smiling sarcastically at Nack. “Your crew certainly don’t waste any time do they? If there’s nothing else...?” the Ferengi nodded signaling that she was free to leave, so Lisa quickly made her way off the bridge and towards the armory, passing a dark haired officer in a blue sciences uniform on her way into the turbolift before requesting the appropriate deck.
Although it was true that most doctors didn’t like or even know how to use weapons, Lisa was actually an exception. She was far from an expert or anything, but Commander Waterson was familiar with how to use a phaser and had no qualms about being armed; in fact, at the moment she preferred it. One thing she had learned during this case, you could never be too careful or too prepared.
Striding into the armory, she found Park waiting for her. Momentarily ignoring the security officer, Lisa grabbed a nearby phaser and checked its charge level before attaching it to her belt. There was no point in letting Commander Park think she didn’t know how to handle a weapon when she did. Turning to him, Waterson smiled politely at him and ordered, “One phaser only, no rifles. I realize that we are dealing with the Romulans, but remember, we’re here to help them. I doubt beaming down looking like an assault team would do us any favors at this point.”
“As soon as we’re ready, we’ll beam down to just outside Doctor Teyak’s office. I have the correct coordinates he provided us. Once I speak with him, I’m going to need your assistance in working with hospital security. Make sure their surveillance systems and shields are up-to-date and properly maintained. I’ll also want you to work with their guards to ensure they are well staffed. I would be careful about trying to train them, however, as I doubt the Romulans would take kindly to being told they don’t know how to protect their own interests. I will be working to analyze the entire contents of their supplies to determine which items are at the most risk, both by desirability and lack of protection. I will provide you with this information as it becomes available to help you prioritize their resources.”

Emily smiled at his comment, "Eye Sir, I will report there right away," Emily said before turning around and heading to the lift, "Oh and Commander," Emily turned and look at the Trek, "Age is only a number, a cipher for the records, you might say," she then walked into the lift and headed down to sickbay,"

A padd in one hand and punching keys with the fingers of her other, Dr. Grey stopped long enough to read Captain Nack's bio signs. Everything was coming along nicely, she noticed.
Smiling, Lucy played over her conversation with Nurse Ranquist.
"He insists you were kissing him all over. He also insists there was lipstick on his face and he couldn't get it off. I couldn't say anything, Dr. Lucy. If I'd opened my mouth, I would have busted out laughing." Her voice had gotten softer as she continued, "One does not laugh at a captain."
A rustle behind her caused Lucy to turn.
“I am reporting to get my physical,” Emily stated
"And you are?" Dr. Grey asked.
“Emily Jonas, new Chief Science officer,” She answered
"Ah, yes. Ensign Jonas, I've been expecting you. Cmdr. Trek alerted me to your arrival only moments ago." Lucy reached up and pulled a folded cloth off of the shelf. Handing it to Jonas, she said, "Slip this on. It's like a caftan. Just toss it over your head. The equipment can see through the material. We'll have this over with in a jiff."
<Jonas>
"Oh! Sorry. Right over there. Pull the curtain and when you're done, that bio bed right there," pointing as she talked, "will do fine."
When Emily was laying comfortably on the bed with the overhead bio-cluster flashing, Lucy asked, "You're El Aurian? Long life-spans. Do you ever get plain tired of living?"

Emily walked over to were Doc. told her to go. She then slipped on the ‘caftan’ and lay down. Jonas could not help but to notice that for a medical bed it was quit comfortable.
Lucy asked, "You're El Aurian? Long life-spans. Do you ever get plain tired of living?”
Emily paused she had never really thought about that before, “No, not really. I try to keep things interesting,” Emily as Lucy scanned her face, “Every 25 to 30 years I try to change what I am doing. You move or change jobs. Stuff like that,”

Commander Park and Waterson walked a few steps behind Lieutenant Helacaan as they started to head to the transporter room Park commented to her. "I understand how the Romanians will feel, However there station was attacked. If i could help sure things up it may not happen again." The group turned at a junction and entered a turbolift. Jon gave the command and the lift started to head up for the transporter room.
A few minutes later the group was entering the transporter room and John Tobias was just stepping up to the controls. Jon looked at Tobias and commented. "Keep a lock on us Chief. Make sure you can put the Doctor out should anything happen." Tobias understood and just nodded. The three stepped on the Transporter Padd and the Doctor gave the order. The Nevada dissolved from view and Jon was in another place.
Jon Looked around and saw an office door waiting for the Commander he hung back yet his gut told him to be on guard for something. He looked over at Helacaan and he was tensing up as well they both felt something.
Moving away Park tapped his combadge =/\= Park to Commander Thomas get Alpha and Gamma teams Ready for transport. Something just feels wrong." Over the combadge Thomas called out. "Aye,Sir We will be ready. Thomas Out" Jon turned to Commander Waterson. "Lead the way Doctor."

=/\= Well if someone is using it to there advantage there must be a way to track it.Can we use the internal scanners." Seth was mystified by the turn of events, danger had seemed so far away not long ago, like an elusive dream, but now it was pounding on the door, inside the very ship infact. Frowning at the situation, he was about to respond to Park, but on came Captain Nack, "Commander Park and Lieutenant Helacaan, please prepare for a departure to the surface. Commander Waterson will need your assistance on securing the medical facility."
"Did you get that Lieutenant?" came in Park again.
"I am on my way sir." Seth nodded despite the absence of the security chief to witness the action, and departed engineering, giving a small wave to Bit-Cloud as he left.
"Understood meet me at the armory for weapons." Seth entered the turbolift,
"Armoury," he said, rather than transporter room. Still adapting to life on the starship, Seth found himself constantly having to remember things, and forgetting them more often than not. He thought that the rough lifestyle he had lived before joining the Federation's Starfleet would have forced him to remember such things, Obviously not...
Seth entered the Armoury minutes later and seeing that Park and Waterson were already there, stood to attention. Park signalled for him to carry on and Seth did so. He went to the rack of weapons on one wall. The weapons were fairly standard, higher tech obviously compared to their equivalents on Seth's homeworld Ascension, but Seth knew how to use them, he grunted in dark amusement, I damn well know how to use a weapon alright...! Park and Waterson seemed to notice his small grunt, they looked around briefly and then continued with the conversation Seth had been keeping one ear on.
Seth scolded himself, why could he not continue his relative silence that he had kept thus far on this mission? He returned to his neutral state and rapidly and efficiently equipped himself with a Type II Phaser and a standard tricorder.
He walked ahead of Waterson and Park in the corridor to the transporter room, something pulled at him from the planet's surface, a yearning... a 'want' to be on solid ground again. Seth liked starships, but in spite of the harsh conditions of his homeplanet, he wished to be back on a planet. Somehow, matter-transporting on to a world with potential danger occupied by a particularly, or so he had heard, notorious race; it held an element of.. comfortableness, for Seth. He felt like he would be at home.
The beam of the transporter faded away, Seth had experienced very few such devices and his lifetime, this one was different from the others. It felt cool to the skin, as it broke him down into constituent particles and shot him through space as a matter stream. The fading of the beam gave way to the room outside the Romulan Doctor's office, as had been expected. Definitely not home... he thought. The walls were of a steel grey, the room was angular and boxy, the door to the office shone with a cold metal sheen. Yet there were the signs of softer browns, beiges and greens beyond the door, there was a small window set into it. Maybe just a utilitarian lobby room, Seth thought. Seth raised an eyebrow at Park as the security chief contacted the ship, ordering them to standby on security teams. Is it the habit of all Security in starfleet to be this suspicious? Seth thought it in spite of himself because, if he was honest, he didn't feel to different from how Park seemed to be feeling.
Eyeing the door to make sure that it wasn't going to open anytime soon, Seth removed his tricorder from the holster and scanned the area, "Nothing out of the ordinary," he reported, "But I am not sure what constitutes ordinary in this case."
"Lead the way Doctor." Park said. Waterson started moving towards the door, Seth and Park followed, Seth replaced his tricorder in the slot and stepped up to the door beside Waterson, the door rolled back and they stepped in...

Lucy asked, "You're El Aurian? Long life-spans. Do you ever get plain tired of living?”
Emily paused “No, not really," she answered. "I try to keep things interesting. Every 25 to 30 years I try to change what I am doing. You move or change jobs. Stuff like that,”
"Aahhh, so that's how you do it. Sorry, didn't mean to make you uncomfortable. Every once in a while I wonder if it's all worth it. But I never did think about changing careers."
Emily rolled over, “So how do I look so fare?”
Lucy checked back and forth with her eyes reading and mentally analyzing Emily's physical results.
"You're fine. As a human, you couldn't be better. If you were a Vulcan, I'd worry." Smiling, Lucy switched all the results into the computer.
Emily pushed herself off the bio-bed. At Lucy's nod and wave, she went into the curtained dressing room and came out in her clean, pressed uniform. I had to admit I liked the Starfleet uniforms.
"You're due back here when the mission ends or in three months, whichever comes first," I informed her.
<Jonas> (if you want)
As soon as I could possibly manage it without any sideways glances, I returned to my office and sent an affirmative message in response to the offer to sell me a Ferengi heart. It would never hurt to have an extra heart around.... just in case.
And in the interim, I was scared.

As they materialized in the administrative waiting room, Lisa smiled politely at the Romulan woman, most likely a secretary of some sort, who was sitting behind a desk. The woman did not return the smile but wordless stood and entered the room bearing what the doctor assumed was Doctor Teyak’s name. Turning back to her companions, Commander Waterson was startled to find Park standing slightly aside contacting the ship. “Park to Commander Thomas get Alpha and Gamma teams ready for transport. Something just feels wrong."
As the ship replied, Lisa blinked in confusion. She felt nothing out of the ordinary. Everything was going as planned, and Doctor Waterson was convinced she had everything under control. Why then this reaction from the security officer? ‘Perhaps he’s just being overly cautious.’ she thought to herself, glancing sideways at Helacaan, who seemed surprised as well, though he pulled out his tricorder.
A few moments later, as Park rejoined the group, Seth reported. "Nothing out of the ordinary, but I am not sure what constitutes ordinary in this case." Nodding in thanks to the operations officer, Lisa glanced around. The Commander still saw absolutely nothing of concern, and since nothing had shown up on sensors as well, she felt a renewed surge of confidence. She had this firmly in hand.
"Lead the way Doctor." Park replied, taking up position behind her. It was still a bit disturbing to her that he had reacted so strongly, worried that either he was picking up on something dangerous that she couldn’t anticipate, like Doctor Grey’s contact about the Ferengi heart, or that he was the type to overreact and jump the gun, something that in such a potentially tense diplomatic situation as this could have disastrous consequences. Either way, she still had a job to do…
The secretary emerged at that moment. “Administrator Teyak will see you now, Commander Waterson.” the woman announced quietly, though her eyes were filled with suspicion. Lisa could almost hear Park tense up behind her, but the doctor saw the woman’s behavior for what it was: she didn’t trust the Federation. Given the history of their two governments as well as the recent attacks and thefts, her reaction was perfectly understandable and not to be taken as a threat.
Smiling kindly at the secretary, Lisa replied, “Thank you very much.” allowing her eyes to meet the Romulan’s eyes directly and try to convey respect and empathy. Only a few seconds passed, but the woman noticeably relaxed somewhat and returned Waterson’s smile, albeit a little hesitantly. Feeling like she’d accomplished something, the doctor moved forward and knocked politely on the door, entering the office when bidden to do so from within by the voice of Doctor Teyak.
“Thank you for coming.” he greeted them stoically, motioning for Lisa to take a seat in the only extra chair in the room. Feeling slightly guilty for sitting while her comrades remained standing behind her, the Commander nonetheless sat, so as not to be rude. “Our governments have agreed to work together, Doctor, but I have my doubts and suspicions. It seems obvious to me that this “Internal Thief” as you call him is certainly a Federation citizen, and these raids on our medical centers and transport vessels feel very much like Federation attacks to me.”
Nodding in sympathy, Lisa leaned forward slightly to try and convey her agreement. “I completely understand your concerns, Doctor. And I actually lean towards the perpetrator being a Federation citizen as well, but the truth is, we don’t know and won’t know until this individual is stopped. I realize you have very little reason to trust us right now, but as I communicated to you earlier, we have been dealing with this for longer than you have, and this group has made strikes against both of our resources. It is in both of our best interests to work together to bring an end to these raids, and specifically the senseless acts of violence that have begun so recently on ships from both our worlds.”
Doctor Teyak was relaxing slightly, but his suspicion was still obvious. “Even so, what do you hope to gain by coming here? Our security is far from non-existent. I also find it of great concern that you seem so convinced that this hospital is next. How can you be so sure if you have no knowledge of these attacks, Doctor?”
Refusing to tense at the mild accusation, Lisa replied, “I have been following this case from the first attack and immediately saw the dangers and implications to my own hospital. I made note of the thief’s methods and reinforced our security in a way that I thought would be most beneficial. My own facility was struck third, and they got away with less than the previous strikes. Since then, I have been traveling between bases, implementing security changes that have been successful, and continuing to gather data and observe the actions of this group.”
Hesitating for a moment, Doctor Waterson sighed deeply before continuing. “I…I know this group, Doctor. I’ve been studying them extensively and have become quite familiar with how they do what they do. That’s why Starfleet Intelligence saw fit to appoint me, a doctor just like you, as lead investigator of this case. Between my knowledge of hospital administration and resources, my own experience in dealing with the issues of these acts, and my extensive knowledge of the events of this case, I am the best person from our side of things to try and put an end to these terrible tragedies and keep all medical facilities in this region safe.”
The Romulan doctor’s skepticism was fading slightly, but he still seemed slightly hesitant. With another heavy sigh, Lisa added, “I know what it’s like to care so much about your patients and your hospital. I felt the same way about my own. I care about providing the best care and keeping our resources safe, and I believe I can make a difference and help do just that. With all the data I have, I am entirely convinced this is the next target, and would like to not only help you keep this place safer but use this opportunity to stop this once and for all. Will you allow me to try?” she asked quietly, almost pleadingly, watching Teyak carefully.
After a moment of silence, the Romulan administrator nodded, his doubt beginning to slowly seep away. “I will, Doctor Waterson.” he agreed an edge of concern still in his eyes but very nearly overwhelmed by hope. “How can we help?”
Smiling at his agreement, Lisa replied, “I brought with me Commander Park and Lieutenant Helacaan, two of the finest officers onboard the Nevada. Commander Park is the Chief of Security. I’m going to have him working with your own security on your surveillance systems, guard rotations, and shielding. Lieutenant Helacaan is the Nevada’s Chief of Operations. He will best be able to assist you with securing your database and computer systems with stronger encryption sequences and coding. I’d also like him to go over your personnel files and look for anything suspicious or out of the ordinary. Assign your top people to work with them, as I understand that we won’t and shouldn’t be allowed unsupervised access.”
Nodding, Doctor Teyak hit a button on his desk. “Elar, will you please contact and send in Manager Norel and Captain Brikom?” the administrator requested, quickly receiving an affirmative reply from Elar. “And what will you do, Doctor Waterson, while these officers are doing that?” the Romulan doctor asked after closing the channel to his secretary.
“Actually, I would need someone to show me around your facility, specifically anywhere your supplies and resources are stored. I need to physically see where they are and how they are protected, as well as take careful stock of everything that is here in able to best determine which items the thief is most likely to want to have and focus the most effort on obtaining.” Lisa replied, pulling out her datapadd in preparation of taking notes. “I will forward the highest risk targets to Commander Park in order to allow him to adjust the security measures.”
“I will escort you myself.” Doctor Teyak replied, as the doors opened to reveal a well dressed Romulan woman, and a male in a security uniform. “Ah, Manager, Captain, welcome. These are our guests who are here to assist us in preparation for a potential attack on our hospital. Manager Norel is in charge of our entire computer system and database, while Captain Brikom is in charge of all hospital security matters.” the administrator explained, quickly introducing Norel to Seth and Brikom to Park and explaining what was going to occur.
As the Romulan woman led Lieutenant Helacaan out of the room, and Park soon followed the Captain as well, Doctor Teyak rose from his desk to begin the tour of the hospital. “Thank you so much for your cooperation, Doctor.” Lisa thanked gratefully. “I hope that this joint endeavor will put an end to this entire problem.”

Captain Brikom and Commander Park exited the Office and turned Left heading for the Station's Security Office. The Captain entered the room and sat down Park followed and sat down as well. The Captain handed him a Padd written in Enlish and Commander Park took it and read the Padd. Park saw that the Guards had a three rotation shift. Jon thought a four would help but kept reading the Padd. Captain Brikom asked "Would u like to see the Ops Center?" Park thought about. "Well i would like to see the shield grid and others. Lead the way."
Captain Brikom lead Commander park thought the station to the command center and he knew any consoles would be locked how ever he saw Lieutenant Helacaan working at a console with Manager Norel. "How are you progressing Lieutenant?"
<Tag Helacaan>
As Commander Park went to the Security Console he tapped commands into the board and was granted access to the shield controls. Reading the screen he saw things were ok for now yet the reading were off to him.~I guess these are normal romulan shield settings~ Park thought. Looking at some other screens Park couldn't find the surveillance systems controls. "Captain where is your surveillance systems control Panel." Park's escort looked surprised "Commander Those are the entire command console for all of our security systems." as he headed over to check Park knew something was wrong.
Both Captain Brikom and Commander Park started scanning screen after screen looking for the program. Jon looked over at Lieutenant Helacaan." Lieutenant Helacaan can you locate the surveillance systems access program."

After the Acting Ensign left, Dan sat pondering what she had said. Age is only a number, a cipher for the records, you might say.
A prudent observation, for her species. Age meant very little to them once they reached maturity. But Dan thought of age as more than just a number, or data point. He preferred to think of age as a companion, that traveled with you down the path of life. Sometimes if propelled you forward, sometimes it hindered you, and sometimes...it was just there.
He looked at the viewscreen and down at the planet. "What's the weather like?"
"Sir?" a science officer asked from his station.
"Give me a summary of the weather on the planet," he said in clarification.
After a few moments, the science officer reported back. "Heavy winds on the northern continent, light rain in the south. A bit on the warm side, but not too bad. They're at the beginning of autumn. Why did you want to know, sir?"
"Curiousity. I just wanted to something about the planet I'm parked above right now."
"Ah. I see, sir."
