Slowly, Mc7 began to open his eyelids. It was a struggle as the harsh light was assaulting his eyes, even while they were closed. It took almost a minute for his borg enhanced eyes to adjust to the lighting in the room, and as soon as they did Mc7 realised that it would be best to allow everyone in the room to assume he was still unconscious. Opening his eyes barely a few millimetres, he looked through the gap covered by his eyelashes. He could see one Klingon, Carl lying on the floor a few feet away from him, and another person, about the same height as Mc7. The more he stared at the man, the more familiarity there seemed to be. Moments later, when he had returned to full consciousness, it suddenly struck him why the man looked familiar. He was the very one that looked back at him in the mirror every morning.
Once the shock of seeing himself standing there had settled in, Mc7 had decided on a course of action. It took less time than expected for him to put the plan into action, when ten minutes later the 'false' Mc7 left the room, leaving just the Klingon to guard the two officers. For some unknown reason, they had not thought to tie Mc7 up. This was a flaw in their plan that would prove their undoing.
Very slowly, the Admiral wiggled his fingers and toes, to ensure that he had full feeling in them for the attack he was about to launch. Once he was satisfied he had full feeling, it was time to pounce. Every muscle in his body tensed, and when the Klingon turned his back to check a one of the consoles, he pounced. Before the Klingon knew what was happening, the Mc7 had his hands on either side of his head and with one sharp turn to the left there was a loud cracking sound. The Klingon's body went limp and fell to the floor.
Carl's eyes widened in surprise briefly, and then once the confrontation was over a wave of relief passed over his face. Mc7 spoke to Carl briefly, and it was then that he realised that Carl was actually unable to move. Mc7 looked around the room to see if the Klingon had left the antidote for the inhibitor there, and to his surprise, he found it. Pressing the hypospray to Carl's neck, there was the customary hiss as the drugs were transferred into his system.
Take a few moments to get the feeling back properly. I'll try and reroute all computer control to here, and we can see about getting our ship back!
Walking over to the primary control console, mc7 tapped a few commands, to try to bring up the internal sensor system to check how many intruders there actually were on-board. He was surprised by the responce he received on the screen,
I do not understand the nature of the request. The Marines have landed.
Marines? Command must have got wind of our situation and sent help. I wonder where they are. Mc7 said to Carl, who was slowly beginning to regain the feeling throughout his body

*As Traks prepared to ambush the mirror Admiral he took a look at his pad to check on the real Mc. Seeing the Admiral move that quick and take out the Klingon should have surprised him but once a borg....... Traks moved back towards auxiliary control to report to the real Admiral... Keying in a sequence to his pad opened the door to the room and he entered with his hands open and raised to shoulder level...
Traks: Admiral Mc 7 of 9 I presume? Lt Colonel Traks: Reporting as ordered. Need some help?

McLean rushed in to help his friend off the floor of his former office. As McLean picked up Benson he saw more blood pour from the Chief Engineers face and onto the floor. Benson was in bad shape, he looked as if he had endured hours of tortuous beatings before he had given the Klingons what they wanted, what ever it was they wanted.
“Chet, are you alright?” McLean asked while he supported Benson.
“I’ve been better Scott.” Benson replied honestly.
McLean placed Benson in the only chair in the office. Benson seemed to relax but McLean needed answers before Benson could pass out.
“Chet,” McLean started with a soft tone in his voice, “What did you do to the computer?”
Benson’s head bobbed up and down as he went in and out of consciousness. There seemed to be nothing that McLean could do to keep Benson awake even with his constant pushing and talking.
“Chet!” McLean’s tone changed to match the continual collapse of Benson’s conscious state, “Tell me what you did to the computer!”
Nothing. Benson slipped away without any hope of being revived until his body was good and ready. McLean stood in shock at the situation. There was a problem with the computer and it was going to get worst with every passing hour.
His thoughts changed gears and suddenly he found himself thinking only for Vanessa and her safety. She had been in school when the attack happened and he had yet to hear anything about any of the school children on board. Had they been taken?
“Computer, locate Vanessa McLean.”
The computer came back with a static response. Even the duration of the message wasn’t a good enough indicator of the fate of his one and only daughter. This only drove McLean’s mind into a state of panic, a state that as the ships Chief Engineer he didn’t need.
Turning around McLean saw through the glass that Ramius was face to face with Captain James, “You!” McLean said in anger. He wanted to strangle the man where he stood but that would have to wait until after he found Vanessa.

Torek watched the Admiral make his move, he was quick, and had no problem getting done what he needed to .. Roughly turning the Klingon over, he searched for a few seconds, then grinned as he found what he was looking for ..
He came over to Carl, Then placing the hypo against his neck, activated the implement ..
"Take a few moments to get the feeling back properly David .. I'll try to reroute all computer control to here .. Then we can see about getting our ship back !"
As Torek regained his motor functions, Mc walked over to the primary control console. Tapping in a few commands, to try to bring up the internal sensor system to check how many intruders there actually were on-board .. He was surprised by the response he received on the screen ..
'I do not understand the nature of the request. The Marines have landed'
"Marines ?" Mc commented, a puzzled look on his face.
Suddenly, Mc heard someone outside the door, obviously gaining access to the room .. Carl lay back down, 'playing dead' while Mc flattened himself against the bulkhead, hoping to jump the intruder before he could get a warning out to anyone ..
The door opened .. Then quickly, a Marine, obviously aware of Mc's position, entered, and turned, hands raised at head height and open palmed, to face the on-coming Admiral .. Who 'just' managed not to land a blow to the said Marines temple ...
"Admiral Mc 7_of_9 I presume .. Lt Colonel Traks .. Reporting as ordered .. Need some help ?" James said, obviously more than relieved the blow didn't connect.
Carl grinned and began to shakily get to his feet ..
"Let me help you Commander." Traks said, stepping beside the Exec' and grabbing him to lift him upright ..
"Commander Torek." Carl said in way of an introduction, "Is the witty comment your doing ?"
"I know who you both are Sirs .. And yes .. It was my doing .. I had to prevent the intruders getting any further access to the Computer."
"Could you remove it from here." Mc asked ..
"Yes Sir .. I'll do that now." Traks affirmed, moving to the console ..
"NOW ..." Mc said, a fresh determination on his face, "Lets get our ship back !" ..........

*Traks plugged his tricorder into the main computer inter phase.*
Traks: Sir I can give you 95% control of the ship back; I can not clear the emergency recall/return program. That can only be cleared by a hard docking with Star Base 47 or Bellicose and a update by the base computer so please refrain from references to old earth battles on the computer or open com frequcies or we will all be taking a one way trip to the nearest star base. I have also set up a few traps and safeguards which are out of my direct control. These can not be deactivated as long as there are any mirror universe qua tam signatures with in 100 meters of the ship. Star Fleet is determined that no more ships fall to the Empire through the mirror. There sir the computer is free to you, the XO and myself.
*Traks steeped back to secure the door so none could surprise the Admiral as he worked.*

Before Captain James could answer Marko watched Scott run from Main Engineering out into the corridor. “Scott, what the hell are you doing?” Marko called after him but before he could get a response James began to speak up…
(Tag Scott)
“I didn’t betray the ship, you don’t even know what’s going on…”
Marko spun round swiftly and stopped the Starfleet Intelligence Captain in his tracks. “You two!” Marko ordered two of the nearby Engineers; “Detain Captain James in the Assistant Chief Engineer’s Office. He is not leave unless by my order is that understood.”
James tried to protest as he was manhandled and shut in the Office without being given the opportunity to tell his side of the story. Marko did not care to hear James’ excuses as far as Marko was concerned he was guilty until proven innocent. Marko tried to tend to Lieutenant Commander Benson as he still lay unconscious on the floor of the Chief Engineer’s Office.
“Does anyone have any sort of medical background?” Marko asked the room of officers, with only one individual putting his hand up. Marko beckoned him over, he was an Ensign and looked no older than 18. “What’s your name kid?”
“Logan” He answered nervously…
“Logan, I need you to keep him comfortable and don’t let him die. He is a damn good officer and a friend of mine! Not to put too much pressure on you, assess his injuries then report to me.”
Marko sprinted to a nearby console. “Computer locate Scott McLean.” "I do not understand the nature of the request. The Marines have landed." Marko punched the console screen, wherever Scott was he was on his own…

Traks told the Admiral that he now had the majority of computer control again, and that the computer was now his to control. Stepping aside, he let the Admiral pass to stand at the computer access panel. Tapping a few commands, mc7 first got a feel for how much control he had over the computer, and was pleasantly surprised by the level.
Bringing up the internal sensor net, he was able to discover just how many intruders were still aboard the Raven, and was shocked to see that there where only twelve of them spread throughout the ship. There were two Klingons and one Cardassian in Engineering, though all were completely still, with Starfleet crew moving around them so it looked as if that was secure. Five others seemed to be patrolling the corridors on various decks, while four were on the Bridge, one in Mc7’s seat. This only fuelled his new found anger at the situation.
It was now time to get the Raven back, and mc7 started that process with a few taps to the console. The Admiral turned and explained his newly formed plan to the two officers.
I’ve flooded the Bridge with anthestine gas, so the four up there are no longer an issue. It looks as if the crew in Engineering have taken care of the three there, and the five roaming the corridors are now trapped within security fields. The Raven is now under our control again gentlemen.
Tapping his comm. badge, he spoke again,
Mc7_of_9 to all crew. The intruders have now all been contained, and the Raven is back under our command. I want all crew to report to their duty stations, and all Department Heads to contact Commander Torek with your status report. I want information on all your systems, but more importantly on your crew. Please pass the reports in ASAP.
Entering a few more commands into the console, all of the intruders biosigns disappeared from their locations, and seconds later re-appeared in the Raven's brig, completely secured.
Tapping his comm badge once more, Mc7 issued another set of instructions.
All senior staff report to the Bridge
It was then that the real problems began.

*As the admiral went about the task of securing the ship; Traks headed to the Brig. Stopping in his new office he logged into the computer and looked in on the prisoners and two officers entered his office......
SO 1: Ah Colonel Traks I hope?
Traks: Yes we will go to GQ 4 intruder alert .....
SO 2: Ah sir the Klingon's are taking of their clothing and passing pieces back and forth.
Traks: Ok we will stop that now...* Traks deactivated the transporter inhabiter from the security section and beamed all clothing and equipment off of the captives.* Well now one of you go replicate some jump sites for our guests, I for one do not enjoy watching Klingons and Cardassians walk around in their birthday suites. Ensign Jones go to transporter room 3 and take the uniforms and equipment to security storage I will be on the bridge.
*Traks picked up his bat'lth and hung it on a shelf support behind his desk. Walking to his combat pack he removed a type 2 phaser and k-bar survival knife, clipping both to his belt and picking up a compression phaser rifle he headed to the bridge.*

Leaving the Auxiliary Bridge, Admiral Mc and Carl headed straight for the Ravens main Bridge. Neither had seen the small red light flashing on the panel ..
There was no need for stealth now, as each of the intruders were either in the Brig, or confined by security force fields in the corridor they were in ..
Colonel Traks was going to head to the Brig then join the others. As Mc and Carl entered the turbo-lift, Mc stated their destination ... Nothing happened ..
"Main Bridge." he repeated, this time the lift reacted to the command and began to rise.
As the doors opened, both men moved quickly. They needed one hundred percent control of the Raven, nothing at this point could be left to chance .. Marko arrived, moving to his station and beginning a check his panel.
Carl had noticed something, small amounts of power were now being re-channeled back to Engineering, puzzled, he decided to contact them while Mc readied the ship, he tapped his Comms badge ..
=^= Torek to Engineering =^=
=^= Engineering .. Ensign Marshal =^=
=^= Where is Commander McLean ? =^=
=^= He's busy at the moment Sir .. Mr Benson has been hurt =^=
=^= There are some anomalous readings up here Marshal .. It looks like power is being re-routed back down to Engineering .. Take a look at it and get back to me .. Also .. Get an update on Benson's condition .. I assume you have medical help on the way =^=
=^= Will do sir .. And yes we have .. Engineering out =^=
The Comm closed and Carl turned to inform Mc of the situation, but remained quiet as he saw the Admiral inputting one command after another in rapid succession ...
"Admiral .. Problems ?" Carl asked ..........

=^= All senior staff report to the Bridge =^=
Marko was interrupted whilst trying to gain control of his computer console in Engineering. It was good to hear Mc’s voice, he had been out of contact with his Captain and friend for too long. Now he had a new priority: to make it to the Bridge, it would be safe to assume that the alliance had been dispatched and the crew were now in control of the ship.
Marko got the attention of the room and issued his instructions, “Get a medical team up here! The Captain has regained control of the ship!”
Looking down at Benson, his condition looked grave. Marko wasn’t sure he was going to make it but with a medical team on the way his chances of survival had just doubled.
“Keep up the good work Logan.” Marko said trying to show the young officer that he had faith in him as he tended to Benson’s injuries.
Marko turned to leave Main Engineering and make his way back up to the Bridge before leaving his final orders; “Keep James under guard until you receive my order to release him and find McLean!”
Darting into the nearest turbo-lift Marko instructed the lift to take him to the Bridge. As Marko walked onto the main Bridge he found Mc inputting commands into the ship’s computer and Carl monitoring power levels.
“Its good to see you both.” Marko smiled, as he took up his position at the Ops Station and began to key in some diagnostics. It was evident that power was being re-routed to Engineering and Carl had picked up on it as he contacted Main Engineering. Something was not quite right with the ship’s computer, it didn’t feel right to Marko as he heard Carl ask Mc if he was having any problems. Marko noticed where the power was going but it seemed fairly innocuous, as Mc turned to face Marko and Carl he had a grave look on his face.
Breaking the silence Marko prompted the Admiral, "Sir?"

~You idiot~ James thoughts as he was pushed into the office that would become his little holding cell. He knew that it would take only a few seconds for him to get out of the office, so he waited until he knew that Marko was out of main engineering.
"Computer site to site transport," James said as felt himself dematerilize. The next thing he knew he was in the middle of the bridge," Before you do anything Admiral, I had nothing to do with this."

*As Traks rode the turbo shaft to the bridge his pad started beeping looking at it he noted the site to site transport with the destination of the bridge.*
Traks: Lift stop reroute to deck 2 section 12 security override Traks beta 12 alpha; Traks to security control, disable the site to site transporter functions except for the admiral or myself. Send two squads to the bridge emergency exits.
Security: Aye sir
*Traks exited the turbo lift and climbed the emergency access to the bridge as he cracked open the access door he saw an Officer with his back to him facing the admiral. Traks eased through the door and leveled his phaser rifle at the Officer.*
Capt. James: " Before you do anything Admiral, I had nothing to do with this."
Traks: I know I am the new one around here and I might not know who all the players are so why don't you just raise your hands and explain yourself to the Admiral but if you go anywhere near that phaser; even on stun a compression phaser rifle leaves quite a headache.

Carl was watching as the Admiral tried manually inputting several commands in quick succession. Mc was frowning now. But before Carl could ask what the problem was, he heard the tell-tale sound of a transporter beam ..
Captain James appeared to one side of the Bridge and immediately moved to stand directly in front of Torek and the Admiral .. Carl began to stand, but Mc placed a hand on his arm ..
"Before you do anything Admiral .. I had nothing to do with this."
"Is that so Captain." Mc said, raising his eyebrows, "Then are you going to treat us to an explanation as to how we have ended up in our current situation ?"
As Mc was speaking, Carl noticed the Jefferies tube access hatch begin to open .. Keeping his eyes on James, and the distance to the phaser on his hip, but concentrating on his peripheral vision, he watched as Colonel Traks silently climbed onto the Bridge ..
"I know I am the new one around here and I might not know who all the players are .." the Colonel began, watching James closely, "So .. Why don't you Captain just raise your hands and explain yourself to the Admiral .. But if you go anywhere near that phaser I promise you that in the circumstances .. I will shoot you then ask questions later .. Even on stun a compression phaser rifle leaves quite a headache."
Captain James raised his hands to shoulder level, in almost mock surrender as he turned to face the newcomer ..
"There is no need for 'threats' Colonel ..."
"Oh it wasn't a threat Sir .. I assure you." Traks said, as Carl got up from his seat and took the phaser from the Captain before re-seating himself, ensuring the phaser was aimed roughly at James' chest ..
Traks walked round and rested his back casually against the bulkhead, ensuring he had line-of-sight should he need to fire ..
"Captain ..." Mc said, still trying to get round his inability to input commands to the ships' computer, "If you know 'anything' about this .. NOW would be a good time to start sharing." .........

Captain, If you know 'anything' about this .. NOW would be a good time to start sharing.Mc7 made no attempt to hide the frustration which was evident in his voice. It was not frustration at James, but rather at the fact he thought he had control of his ship, just to have it wrested from his grasp once more. James opened his mouth and spoke, but what the words were no one knew, for they were drowned out by the wail of a siren and the ships computer announcing in what seemed like a cruel, harsh voice: Auto destruct sequence initiated. Auto destruct in two minutes.Looks of horror were exchanged by the officers on the Bridge, and without missing a beat, the Admiral began giving the computer his command codes, Computer, cease auto destruct sequence, authorisation mc7_of_9 pie alpha zero nine two. Unable to comply. The circuit required for that command is damaged. What the hell is going on here! Mc7 to Engineering. Eject the warp core immediately. Sir, we just tried to, but the ejection system is not responding. It would take us hours to work out whyAs if taunting everyone aboard the Raven, the computer announced, One minute thirty seconds until auto destructInhaling deeply, Mc7 closed his eyes and hit the comm badge on his chest. Mc7 to all crew. Abandon ship, transport to the Blair, or get into a shuttle or escape pod. This is not a drill.Hitting the comm badge again, he continues to speak, Computer, begin emergency transports of everyone currently on the Raven to the Blair immediately. Estimated time until transport of everyone from the Raven to the Blair?Transport will be complete in two minutesMc7 to all crewed shuttles. Begin transporting crew from the Raven to the Blair immediately. We need to get everyone off the Raven before she goes. Turning to look at the Officers who were still on the Bridge, Mc7 ordered them to make their way to the escape pods which were housed just off the observation lounge. <tag : EVERYONE!......Lets see some evacuating going on here people! )

"Mc7 to all crew. Abandon ship, transport to the Blair, or get into a shuttle or escape pod. This is not a drill."
*Traks tapped his combadge*
Traks: Admiral wait one lets see if my Klingon friends stuck around; Traks to Paugh emergency beam out do not forget my toy. I need to stick with the bridge crew.
Vegeta: Qapla'; we will take as many as we can. We already have your prisoners in our brig.
*Traks started to respond but found himself relocated on a cargo transporter in a Klingon vessel along with all the personnel from the bridge.*
Traks: Everyone off the pad 2 seconds before next group.
*Traks looked around and noticed that they were not on the IKS Paugh; but a much bigger Klingon vessel. Hearing a door open Traks spun with weapon leveled only to see a familiar face in the uniform of a Klingon General.*
Arok: Welcome to the IKS Mo'Bah Admiral Mc 7 and Mr Traks; I think you can lower the rifle. Admiral, we should have all your crew soon. I have taken the Blair in tow and the prisoners are now in the capable hands of my son on the Paugh.
Bridge: My lord all life signs are off the Raven we are moving off with the Blair in tow.
Arok: Understood. Now Admiral how can we be of assistance?

Marko watched on tapping his console as Captain James beamed directly onto the Bridge. It distracted him just for a moment long enough for Marko to miss the computer’s self destruct protocols being activated.
"Before you do anything Admiral, I had nothing to do with this." James proclaimed after the familiar sound of a transport having taken place.
Before anyone could respond, the emergency bridge access shaft opened and revealed a large man who Marko had never met before. Reaching for his side arm, but as soon as he spoke he knew the man was a StarFleet officer.
“I know I am the new one around here and I might not know who all the players are so why don't you just raise your hands and explain yourself to the Admiral but if you go anywhere near that phaser; even on stun a compression phaser rifle leaves quite a headache.”
Marko nodded to Traks as if in thanks, when the events began to unfold around him. Turning back to his console as Mc addressed James;
“Captain, If you know 'anything' about this .. NOW would be a good time to start sharing.”
Before Marko could announce that the self destruct sequence was about to activate the computer’s voice sounded across the ship.
Auto destruct sequence initiated. Auto destruct in two minutes.
Mc and Carl battled to turn off the auto destruct and eject the warp core but it was too late, almost like the computer controls had been overridden. Perhaps it was a safety mechanism setup by the alliance, Marko didn’t have time to know for sure but he transported his data onto a nearby padd and hurriedly placed it in one of his trouser pockets.
"Mc7 to all crew. Abandon ship, transport to the Blair, or get into a shuttle or escape pod. This is not a drill."
The shaky voice of Mc, caught everyone off guard but they had no choice. They had lost control of the Raven, Marko began to run for the escape pods as ordered but felt himself being transported.
Opening his eyes he found himself transported onto what looked like a Klingon vessel but he couldn’t be sure. He was accompanied by Mc, Carl, James and the officer he had not yet been introduced too. Marko held back as a Klingon Admiral entered and began to speak with Mc away from the rest of the group. Marko decided to introduce himself to the new officer who had seemingly saved them all.
“Commander Marko Ramius, Chief Operations Officer. Nice to meet you… You cut it close there.” Marko smiled offering his hand to Traks.

The 'Auto-destruct' was possibly the last thing Carl had expected to hear .. But he instantly jumped into action .. The Abandon Ship order, something no Captain ever expected to have to instigate, was now in full flow .. "Computer .. Time to Auto-destruct ?" he asked. "Forty five seconds." "How many crew still aboard ?" "Thirty seven." the computer replied, obviously unaffected as to the only plausible outcome to it's actions .. He could hear reports of beam-outs and feel the slight push as Port and Starboard lifeboats were ejected and thrown free of the dying Raven .. "Computer .. Audio countdown .. Five second increments." "Thirty five seconds." "Thirty seconds." "Who many left on-board ?" There are seven crew members still on board .. Twenty five seconds." Carl moved quickly .. He was done with what he needed to do inside ten seconds, and heard the computer state fifteen seconds remaining as he felt the transported beam pluck him from the Ravens Bridge for the very last time ... "Welcome to the IKS Mo'Bah Admiral." said Arok, "I think you can lower the rifle Mr Traks .. Admiral we have all your crew now .. I have taken the Blair in tow and the prisoners are now in the capable hands of my son on the Paugh." "The Raven !" Torek said, and Arok motioned to the view-screen .. Everyone on the Bridge of the Mo'Bah was silent as the final seconds ticked away .. Then there was a flash .. Brighter than a star for the first few milliseconds of it's life, then, still too bright to view with the naked eye, it consumed the warp core .. Matter and Anti-matter combining in an uncontrollable maelstrom of destruction .. The Raven, and all matter in a hundred thousand kilometer diameter ceased to exist instantly, before the light dimmed, and eventually vanished completely ... The Raven was gone ..........In the silence, Mc placed a hand on Carl's shoulder ... "She was a good ship." he said quietly, then noticed Carl was carrying something .. It was gold in color, and as Torek noticed the admiral looking at his hand, he lifted the item and handed it to Mc ... "Couldn't leave without this sir ..." was all Carl said as Mc silently read the inscription .......... ooo000ooo
Admiral Mc7_of_9 placed the brass plate under his arm Silently thanking his replacement as Commanding Officer of the Raven The next incarnation of such a great, well respected vessel

OOC(Mark please see the OCC code for this mission, or Traks bio.)
“Commander Mark Ramies Chief Operations Officer. Nice to meet you… You cut it close there.” Marko smiled offering his hand to Traks.
Traks: Sorry about that but the Admiral would not want to leave his bridge unless there was no choice and I also did not want to be on the end of two ship transporters fighting over mmoleculeses.
*Arok touched controlll on the consolin frontnt of him and Admiral Mc 7, Torek, Mark, James and Traks found themselves on the Bridge of the Mo'Bah.
The Raven was gone ..........
*Traks leveled his phaser rifle at Capt. James*
Traks: Capt James I believe you have more explaining to do to the Admiral.

"My 'condolences' on the loss of your vessel Admiral." Arok said, "We heard many good things about the Raven .. Lets hope her namesake can uphold the reputation." "Thank you Admiral Arok." Mc_7 said, still looking at the Raven's dedication plaque .. "Sir ..." Torek said, "With your permission .. I'd like to take a team over to the Blair .. We need to get her up and running." "Yes !" Arok said loudly, but with no insult intended, or taken, "It would not do for you to be towed into your own Star base." "Go ahead Carl .. I need to prepare my report for Star fleet .. I will join you later." Mc said, following Arok off the Bridge of the Mo'Bah ... Carl turned to commander Ramius ... "Put a small team together Marko .. We'll beam over and make sure the Blair can get us back .. Mr Traks .. If you could supply a few Marines .. As Security ..." "I'll have a team ready in three minutes Commander." said Traks, ready to bark orders. "Five will do Colonel." Torek replied, a slight grin forming on his face ... When they were ready, Carl looked at the man he knew was Arok's Second in Command, and nodded .. Seconds later, they materialized on the Bridge of the USS Blair, their temporary home for the trip back to Bellicose .. "OK everyone .. Let's get this ship .. Such as it is .. Ready for the Admiral .. You know your assignments .. Lets go !" Carl said .. Everyone moved at once, going to their stations, or leaving the Bridge for other departments .. Carl sat in the Command chair and watched the Klingon vessel, as she towed them away from the almost microscopic remnants of the Raven .......... < tag : All >

McLean had only one thing on his mind as he raced through the various Jefferies Tubes on the Raven, his daughter Vanessa. She was the only thing he had left in his life that he felt was worth living for, and if he died to save her life he would feel as if he had a life that was meaningful.
Looking around the corner of the corridor McLean could see the hall was completely empty. He was used to seeing crew members and the occasional civilian roaming the halls but now with an empty corridor McLean got the impression that he was on a ghost ship.
Rushing out of the Jefferies Tube McLean moved quickly to the nearest wall console and began the task of locating his daughter. At first he wasn’t getting any sort of response from the console, the computer was still on the fritz and without a complete system clean it didn’t look like he was going to be able to find Vanessa.
Auto destruct sequence initiated. Auto destruct in two minutes.
“No, no, no.” McLean said as he kept pushing away on console commands that did nothing but buzz in a negative response to each of his tries. Think Scott, think!
His mind was racing as it had never done before, for the first time in his life during a crisis situation he couldn’t think of a solution. He felt helpless despite his years of service in Starfleet and he couldn’t seem to find a way to calm himself down.
“Daddy!” McLean heard from around the corner. He quickly spun on his heels and saw Vanessa standing at the other end of the corridor. Before either of them could speak she raced into his arms and he hugged her with all his might and let the tears come.
“What’s that?” Vanessa asked.
McLean turned to face the count down and his eyes widened at how little time they had.
"Mc7 to all crew. Abandon ship, transport to the Blair, or get into a shuttle or escape pod. This is not a drill."
Something strange had happened to McLean, his mind had cleared he had his focus back and he knew he only had Vanessa and her sudden appearance to thank. He would have to remember later to ask her where she had come from.
“Hold tight.” McLean said with his daughter in his arms.
Vanessa McLean closed her eyes as her father began to run as hard and as fast as he could down each of the hallways. She didn’t have any idea of where she was going but she knew deep down in her heart that her father was going to save them.
McLean ran for what seemed to be miles around the Raven. Several of the escape pods they had come across didn’t function because of the computer’s problems. They were running out of time and options when something Benson said came into McLean mind. He sat for a second before pulling out a tricorder from his cargo pocket. Using two leads he spliced into the console on the inner door to the escape pod and executed an emergency program the handy scanner had built into it.
McLean felt the pod push away from the Raven and with in seconds he could see the Raven in all her glory. He then held Vanessa tight and waited for the eventual outcome to happen.
-----------MAIN ENGINEERING--------------
Benson sat up from the floor in McLean’s office and spat up blood. He felt dizzy but made no attempt to get up as he knew it was a fruitless anyways. There was only one thing he could do and that was to try and set things straight as best as he could.
“Computer,” Benson said.
“Yes?”
“Please send Priority One message to Lt. Scott McLean, file Benson_Theta_1.”
“Do you wish to end auto destruct?”
“No.”
Benson then lied down and closed his eyes. He could see the Warp Core in the background beginning to grow brighter as it was only a few seconds away from self destruction. He held his breath and counted down the few precious seconds of his life.

Marko was silent on the Bridge of the Mo'Bah as everyone watched the viewscreen and the flash of light as the Raven’s warp core exploded. It took almost a minute before dimming and as if a memorial to the great ship, no-one spoke or looked at one another but concentrated on the light as if maintaining a silent vigil. Even Captain James appeared to be aggrieved at the Raven’s loss, surprisingly Marko thought.
The silence was broken as the light faded, Admiral Arok offered his condolences to Mc as Carl turned to Marko and James and issued their orders.
"Put a small team together Marko .. We'll beam over and make sure the Blair can get us back .. Mr Traks .. If you could supply a few Marines .. As Security ..."
“Understood, Sir.” Marko replied as he began preparations, it made sense to make the team up of those officers who were on the Raven’s bridge at the end and as they were the closest to hand Marko turned to them. Marko approached the duty officers who had been on the Raven’s bridge with Marko and the other senior staff before the end.
“We need to beam across to the USS Blair and make sure it is in working order, I understand if some of you have families and want to make sure they are okay. So feel free to sit this task out and spend the time travelling back to Bellicose with them.”
Marko instructed the 6 duty officers in front of him, 1 of the female officers put her hand up to leave, Marko nodded and she left the Bridge to locate her family. Minutes later they were beamed across to the Bridge of the USS Blair. Marko immediately made for the Ops console as Carl was issuing his orders.
"OK everyone .. Let's get this ship .. Such as it is .. Ready for the Admiral .. You know your assignments .. Lets go !"
Marko looked around the Blair was not in the condition of the Raven, it was a much older ship and during the Alliance’s ownership of the vessel they had retrofitted the ship with various interfaces, Marko had never seen before. Thankfully he could still access the actual federation console.
“Commander, my initial diagnostics are showing that engines have been shut down from Main Engineering. I cannot access control from here, we need to go down there – I cannot get any readings from Main Engineering. Computer sensors on that deck seem to be malfunctioning. Other than that the Blair’s systems seem to be in working order, there may be some failsafe devices installed to ensure the ship self destructs. We need to be careful when reactivating the Blair’s systems.” Marko announced loud enough for everyone to hear and understand the gravity of the situation.

It took Marko and the others, almost six hours to disable all the fail-safes and obviously crude booby-traps the Klingon's had set up on the Blair ..
Carl had cleared several of the Bridge consoles so they were now in relative working order .. After Marko announced his satisfaction that he had now cleared all the 'traps', Carl informed the Admiral on the Mo'Bah, then ordered the impulse engines be brought on-line .. All being well, he then ordered the warp engines be brought up too. before again contacting the Admiral ..
=^= USS Blair to the Mo'Bah =^=
=^= This is the Mo'Bah .. Go ahead Commander =^=
Carl recognized Admiral Arok's voice ...
=^= If Admiral Mc_7 is ready Sir .. We are ready to get underway on our own power =^=
=^= We will release the tractor beam in thirty seconds .. Please come to warp six once free =^=
=^= Sir .. My Operations Chief feels we should limit our speed to a maximum of warp four for the present .. Could I speak to Mc_7 of 9 ? =^=
=^= Your Admiral is busy .. With Star fleet Command .. They are 'asking' some questions of him .. He has asked me to inform you to carry on and he will beam over shortly .. Mo'Bah out =^=
Carl was, to say the least, confused .. OK, he fully understood that Star fleet would want an explanation for the destruction of the Raven, but surely that could wait until their return to Bellicose ... Suddenly, the tractor holding the Blair vanished, and the ship began to fall behind the massive Klingon vessel ..
"Full impulse please." he ordered.
The Blair held station less than five thousand meters behind, and slightly below the Mo'Bah .. Then the Klingon ship jumped to warp ..
"Helm .. Warp four .. Same heading."
"Aye Commander .. Warp four." said the helm Officer, tentatively inputting the order ..
The Blair leapt after the Mo'Bah .. Tho admittedly, not as smooth as the Ravens transition into warp, she nevertheless managed it .. 'Just ...' thought Carl, sighing with obvious relief ..
"Steady at warp four Commander." Marko said as he entered the Bridge, "They can handle things in Engineering for now .. Where's the Admiral ?"
"He's staying over there." Torek said, nodding to the view of the Klingon ship on screen, "At least .. Until he's spoken to Star fleet Command."
"You don't think the Klin ......"
"I don't 'think' anything at the moment Commander .. Lets just see what happens OK."
"Aye Sir." Marko said, moving to the Operations station ..
Carl felt he'd been too harsh with his reply, cutting the COO off like he did. He stood and walked over ..
"Sorry about that Marko .. I'm as worried about the Admi ......"
"Forget it Carl .. We're all on edge at the moment .. He'll be back .. Besides .. I managed to get one transporter on-line .. Can't guarantee it's reliability but we'd have one go at plucking Mc from the Klingon's if need be."
Carl grinned, placed his hand on Marko's shoulder for a second, then moved back to his seat .. Resting his elbow on the arm of the chair, he unconsciously put his chin in his palm, appearing to all the world like a child who'd just been told he couldn't play out ...
In truth .. He was concerned for the Admiral .. But also for the Raven's crew ..........

Mc7 sat in a typically dark room. There were lights, but they were dimmed. Mc7 had never troubled himself to find out if it was a case that Klingons eyes were more sensitive to light, or simply that they preferred darker environments. It was something that he intended to find out, once they were back aboard Bellicose. The conversations he had just had with Command went as well as could be expected. They were obviously distressed to hear of the loss of the Raven, but glad to hear that there had been a minimal loss of life. Minimal loss, Mc7 thought to himself. That wont provide any comfort to the families of the four officers who hadn't survived the mission.
Standing to stretch his muscles, Mc7 walked around the room. Inhaling deeply, he tapped the control at the side of the door, instructing it to open. Once it did, the Admiral stepped out into the corridor, which was only slightly brighter than the room which he had just exited. Walking along the corridor, he passed several Warriors going about their duties on the Mo'Bah. Mc7 knew that one of the differences between Klingon Defence ships and Starfleet vessels was that Klingons tended to use stairs instead of turbolifts between decks. It was one set of these stairs he climbed now to reach the Bridge of the Mo'Bah, and the ships commander, Admiral Arok.
Once he reached the top of the stairs, he walked along the short corridor that lead to the Bridge. The doors parted automatically as they detected his presence, allowing him to pass onto the Bridge. As he entered, he immediately seen that this room was no brighter than any of the others aboard the Mo'Bah, in that it contained enough light to make working in it possible, but not much more.
Arok, my old friend. It is good to see you again.
Mc7 had worked previously with the Admiral now in Command of the Mo'Bah, and given the circumstances of the Mo'Bah's rescue of the crew of the Raven, Mc7 felt pleased to see an old friend.
It has been too long, though I always seem to be saving you when we do meet.
Indeed, I'll add another barrel of bloodwine onto the list I already owe you. What's the status of the Blair?
Arok informed him that they had been able to restart the majority of her systems safely, and were now under their own power, holding steady at warp 4.
Could I trouble you for one final favour? Would you be able to match speeds with the Blair so that I can transport over. I need to check up on my crew, and they need to see that I am feeling the loss as much as each and every one of them.
That I can do. We will continue our escort until you reach your starbase. It would not do for us to rescue you only for you to go and get yourself destroyed.
And for that escort I thank you. I will ensure that when we reach Bellicose fifty barrels of bloodwine are transported to the Mo'Bah, as a token of thanks from me and my crew for your heroic actions to.
And as the Starfleet Officer finished speaking, the tell tell tingle of a transporter beam took hold of him and the Bridge of the Mo'Bah disappeared, and was replaced by that of the Blair.
Without missing a beat, Mc7 spoke.
Carl, situation report.

The Blair, following Arok's ship, was running less than smoothly. it had managed to reach warp four, but Carl was convinced it wouldn't make warp five, or more .. "Sir .. Commander McLean has just informed me that he is on his way to Engineering." Marko said from Opps. "Let's hope he can ge ......" Torek began to reply, but a transporter beam interrupted him .. Admiral Mc7_of_9 appeared in the center of the Bridge. Looking round,he headed straight for the Command area. Carl managed to vacate his seat just in the nick of time, before Mc sat himself down .. "Carl .." he said, nodding hello, "Situation report." Carl gave the report as requested ... "We are currently eleven days out from Bellicose at our present speed .. But Lieutenant McLean is attempting to squeeze a little more out of the Blair's engines." Mc grinned, 'If anyone could coax an engine to give more, Scott could' he thought .. "OK .. I have spoken to Star fleet Command .. Inteligence has taken an 'interest' in us .. They will be meeting us at Bellicose to take the Blair off our hands." "And a replacement for the Raven Admiral ?" Carl asked quietly. "Well .." Mc said, "There are three ships nearing completion .. Theres a Galaxy Class at Utopia Planitia Mars .. An Intrepid Class at San Francisco .. Also a Prometheous Class at the Atlas yards on Deneb V .. So your guess is as good as mine at present Carl." "The Galaxy is the first of the new Mark Three Class isn't it ? "I believe so." Mc said, glancing sideways at his Executive Officer, "You fancy the Galaxy as the new Raven then I take it." Carl grinned in return, a Galaxy Class ship would be a fitting replacement for the Raven in his opinion .. But any ship .. Bearing the name 'Raven' would do just fine ... Both men fell silent .. Each remembering the Raven-A in their own way .......... < tag : Scott / All > (We're heading home now ..)

Everything had gone wrong and Captain James was partially responsible for the loss of the Raven. Admiral MC was safe on the Klingon ship and no one of importance to his plan had died. His only window home had now vanished, but he would continue on. His plans for the Raven crew were not finished and he would keep an eye on them.
"Admiral, Intelligence is going to want to blame you and your crew," James said," the loss of four Starfleet officers and crewmen is punishment enough. I'll do everything in my power to protect your crew from what will be a terrible experience."
(MC)
"Commander Torek, that new Galaxy would be a fine replacement for the Raven, it can also do things that I've never seen before," James said for the first time offering a smile to the executive officer. "If it's alright with you, I'll help some of the repair crews."
